I had a sewer blockage. I called and was quoted $170.00. I called again to confirm the price before the company came out. The plumber told me he could not access the clean-out in my basement because his machine weighed 300 pounds. I wonder how he ever accesses basements if indeed the machine weighs 300 pounds. He then pulled my toilet and cleared the sewer. I am happy with the results, but as he was leaving, I handed him an envelope with $170. in cash. He then said that the cost was extra for pulling the toilet and wanted $75.00 more. I called the company and they told me I had only given them $35.00 extra ($205.00 instead of $245) in the envelope. My mistake not to have him count. I would not use this company again even though the work was good. I had a feeling there would be some sort of bait and switch at the end and now I am even accused of lying about the money. Surely there is a company out there that would be a bit more transparent.

The Drain Doctor are true professionals. Wayne saved me thousands that other firms wanted to replace drains by simply breaking up the clog. Please always call these guys first!!

Doesn’t work in minority sections of town at night. So frustrating.

I spent a lot of time trying to unclog our kitchen sink. We used multiple drain cleaners and even rented an auger, but nothing worked. Drain Dr. came out less than 24 hrs after I called and took care of the problem in no time at all for a decent price. Would def call again.

They gave me a 2 hour window and did not show up, then when I called to get an ETA they became very rude because I asked if they provide a little better time frame than he will be there when he finishes the job he is working on.. I would not reccomend this place at all. I had already lost two hours of my day and now they said they are not coming which is problably for the best. They are not very professional. I suggested they could have called to let me know they are running behind schedule and that really made the lady on the phone mad.

Do not use Drain Doctor - find a company that will show up on time and not be rude about it.

A harmful situation, all I asked was, it would have been nice if someone would have called to let me know the guy was going to be late and then asked for an ETA, how is that harmful. The lady on the phone created the drama. That's fine, because I fixed the issue with with a gallon of Mainline cleaner from Walmart for $11.00. I still would not recommed you. Have a nice day.

Wayne is the best!! He came within the slotted window, called about 30 mins before and came prepared. He was polite and respectful and determined to get the job done. He was the 4th person I had called to come look at my tub that wasn't draining. He was my last shot before I would have had to spend thousands. He was here under an hour and completely unclogged it! Works great as new! He cleaned up after his work and was on his way. Couldn't be happier with the service from Drain Doctor company!!!

I manage maintenance for 170 rental units in Nashville. We used this company to unclog a drain. On the first attempt, they failed to clear the drain. They came back a second time, but this time, the employee broke through the pipe. He was flowing water through while snaking, causing the broken drain to leak through the ceiling. Once he realized his mistake, he packed up and left, appearing to be in a rush. The tenants upstairs and downstairs all said he appeared to be excessively rough on the pipe. Here is the catch, they still charged us even after still failing to clear the drain on the second attempt, leaving us with a broken pipe, clogged drain, and ceiling damage. They denied everything that the employee said to the tenants, refused to repair any damage, and refused to refund the money for failure to complete the job we were being charged for. I ended up personally fixing the pipe, clearing the drain, and fixing the ceiling damage. If you need a drain cleared, I would recommend reading all of the negative comments. There is a very clear trend (unprofessional, didn’t finish the job but still charged, won’t guarantee work). Proceed with caution! My recommendation is to find another company.

I got quotes a price of 105 dollars to run a snake down a toilet drain that was running slow. When they got there the charge was 170 dollars. The guy would not run the snake down the toilet unless he pulled the toilet and put a new wax ring in. The wax ring was new and had been replaced the prior week by a licensed plumber. I felt that Drain Doctor done the old bait and switch routine on the price. I know that a snake can be run through a toilet without its removal. I had to have it done so I paid the price. Take what you want from this review and go from there.

One hour after I called, Wayne arrived and saved the day unclogging my drain. He was professional, and performed a quick and tidy job. He even cleaned my sink, which was unexpected and a pleasant surprise. I also appreciate his honesty, as I thought my issue was more severe, and an unscrupulous business might take advantage. I will absolutely use Drain Doctor again, and highly recommend their services!

WOW!!!!! Felt like I had been transported back to the 1980's. Wayne, the technician, was incredibly knowledgable and friendly. Arrived less than one hour after my initial phone call. Had drain cleared and flowing in less than an hour. Another local company told us we had to tear out our 1955 plumbing. It was going to be several thousand $$$$. Wayne got it fixed good as new for $130. I was absolutely blown away. They only do one thing - fix clogged drains. No other plumbing. Well done Drain Doctor!

Professional and quick. Called at 10:30 am. Plumber was here and gone by noon. Had a clogged shower drain, and it was fixed quickly and at a reasonable price. No upsells or hidden fees. Quote I was given over the phone, was what they charged.

Came saw and conquered! Got the job done for a reasonable price. Had to have commode removed and installed again afterwards. Was a miscommunication days after with my payment. But I had payment confirmation email. And everything was all good. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. BJ is the man.

I own Pine Haven Landscaping and I use Drain Doctor to Jet Clean any Culverts or Larger Drain Lines as long as they are Smooth Walled Pipes and they do an Awesome Job!

I called Drain Doctor for an issue with a rental house. The technician called me and let me know the job was done. Within 12 hours, the problem happened again. I called back and they wanted to charge me full amount to come back. They also told me on phone they don't guarantee work -- I would have never used a company that doesn't guarantee work.

I just called back to discuss my bill, and the Owner had the audacity to ask me my age. I wouldn't think that at this day in time that is an appropriate question ask someone calling in on their bill to discuss a job that wasn't done properly, had to be fixed by ANOTHER company, and then wanted to charge the entire amount for. The Supervisor got on the phone and then told me we do guarantee work unless after the job we realize we can't guarantee it. --- interesting business model.

Do not use Drain Doctor - find a company that guarantee's work.

I've used Drain Doctor twice in the last 18 months, and will certainly be calling them in the future if need be (although hopefully we won't need to).

Both techs we've worked with were communicative, professional, and got the job done quickly. Wayne, who helped us yesterday, gave me the 20 min. heads up I asked for so I could leave work to meet them - it's way easier that way than sitting at home for a four-hour window that will probably be missed anyway.

I love their flat-rate pricing, although I do think they should post all of that on their website.

They were called for a floor drain backing up sewage.

They never looked at the drain. Instead they removed a toilet said there was no problem.

Upon him finishing the water inlet line now leaks as is flooding the room.

On his way out he tells us that the leak in the incoming toilet water( the one he made) is the reason the floor drain is backing up sewage

I now have to call a competant company to fix the issue plus the things he nangled

They cleaned out the drain and lied to the customer that their were no roots in the drain outside of the house and clearly there was because I dug up the yard and had it cleaned out ran a hose in the hole days later it back up into the hole outside of the house

He came out on Saturday afternoon and had my kitchen sink cleared in 30 minutes. The last guy took an hour. He also advised to pour 1/2 cup Dawn dish detergent in drain and let sit periodically to keep the grease away.

These guys are pros . Quick response. Used a camera to identify the problem which was caused by contractor pouring grout rinse water down drain. Used proper equipment to loosen deposits and vacuum out debris. Very fair price. I highly recommend this company.

They would not resond to emergency call at 5:30 in the morning because of appointments they had for after 800 oclock that morning why have after hours if you cant take the calls

I see all the bad reviews, however I was extremely happy with Gary who came out today. Fixed my problem in very little time.

Have utilized their services before. Took care of the issue & showed up when they said.

To whom this may concern,

The owner/supervisor whom ever she is has a very bad attitude and she has no customer service skills.

I called the “Emergency line” which says they are available 24hours and i was denied service because they have Berber heard of my property that they came out the previous month before.

The on call person was very rude and lazy.

Once i called the owner, she told me that she told him not to come due to her not knowing if they have worked with us before.

The owner never apologized for the tech being rude nor did she apologize for making the mistake that she found out she mad.

This company needs to go through customer service training.

I told the owner how very disappointed and unsatisfied i was with the service and how i was treated from the tech and she told me she told him to do it.

I would not recommend this company for nothing plumbing wise, i wouldn’t even let them unclog a toilet for me.

I hope this information helps for the people who needs any type of plumbing issues taken care of .

I'm the manager of a business in East Nashville. I had a serious drain problem and Wayne was here in no time. I called a well known drain rooter, who said that they couldn't handle my emergency until Monday. Not exactly

I can't say enough good things, but I'll try anyway...They returned my call promptly and they showed up exactly when they said they would which was less than an hour later. I knew it was going to be a difficult job because it's a hundred year old sewer line, and their guy Wayne fought it and won. He also gave me some valuable advice on some needed repairs. I hope I never need them again, but if I do, I'll know I can depend on them.

Wayne came right out ran his camera down two pipes and found where they were blocked.

Called Drain doctor for a stopped up toilet at our apartment community the plumber arrived to the community, the office staff was out to lunch but the resident was home. The plumber never knocked on the residents door and the resident was home all day waiting on the plumber but they was quick to leave a notice on the office door for a charge of $85.00 for the service??? What service was performed? So I called Drain doctor and asked if they came back would I be charged this service charge again? The lady said yes because they had to drive all the way out to our community! They are literally 13 mins away !!! That is an $85 drive? I personally will never use drain doctor again for how I was spoken to and how they do not care for their clients.

I called them on a Friday morning and they said they could get here the same day. Two hours later Wayne showed up and said he could get the main pipe cleared. He was done in ten minutes!! He said that he has been with Drain Dr for 19 years. What a great Nashville company to use if you need drain work. I expected it to cost much more so when he told me i couldn't believe how reasonable priced they where.

We were very pleased with Wayne. He resolved our drain problem. He is very knowledgeable and dependable. The cost was reasonable. We highly recommend him.
