We selected Lone Start based on another referral, and so pleased we did. Chris Cadena and his team delivered a superb backyard patio and landscaping transformation. Chris provided the perfect blend of working with our general objectives, while adding his own influence and detailed design suggestions. We absolutely love the result. His crew was very friendly, clean, professional and efficient, and the outcome a quality job.

Requested a quote. Received a long email explaining their minimum project size is $10k and if I was willing to spend that then I could call to schedule a consult. I did and got a long talking to about how landscaping costs money, clients don’t usually understand the costs involved, etc. It was just shy of insulting because you already prefaced that in an email. I tried to explain that I have done some research and had a quote from 9 months ago that was high but my concept changed and I didn’t have wholistic design. The owner sounded bitter that he does so many quotes and people change their minds. Why offer free quotes and then treat every potential customer like they are going to waste your time? At the point I was almost annoyed he said he’d have his guy contact me about the project. Never heard from him. No follow up.

I signed with someone who is excited to beautify an ugly urban patio of a historic home in a historic district. He never mentioned a minimum. Cost will be 25k.

This has been my best experience to date for a good sized landscaping project. Adam and his team swept in like a tornado, re-graded my side yard / added a long raised planter / new BBQ pad / paver patio & walkway. They are great to work with, excellent knowledge and suggestions.
