Best New Back Yard in Phoenix AZ
Hiring Lone Star was such a great decision. They turned our basic desert landscape into an incredibly living space. It transformed our backyard into a functional space that we can now entertain guests with. They were professional and had a great portfolio of work to get inspiration from. You can tell they have been doing landscaping for a long time. Great work and love our new outdoor space.

We love how Straight Line transformed our front and back yards. Lots of attention to detail and truly wanted us to be happy with the end results. Can't say enough good things about this company and their crew.

When they say it's too good to be true, I should have listened. Needed a quote to clear out a vacant home lot full of weeds. Reach out to get a quote which they were prompt in saying we can do that and that they asked for a location address as well as pictures. I gave them the address, pictures (after the big rain storm a few weeks ago) as well as an aerial shot of the lot. They came back with a proposal that was the cheapest option. Said lets set it up for which I then gave them my billing information and set it up for a schedule. On the scheduled day, I checked the vacant house at 230pm and nothing was done! So I give them a call for status which it went to vm (sidenote, in their vm prompt they say for quicker response email them which means they probably never answer the phone). They emailed me back saying they tried numerous times to get a hold of me by phone but no response. On top of that they came back and said we can do it but the price is now almost double! Responded back and said what phone number did you have on file. They then said we are super busy and that we never had your phone number on file! So basically you lied originally about saying you tried to contact me and on top of that you want double your money once you got there. I would not expect this bait/switch considering I gave you recent pictures as well as an aerial shot of the lot to give you the size/scope. I know they have been busy lately so the speed of the service has not been the issue but basically saying you tried to reach out on day of service by phone (never did) as well as doubling my quote even though I gave you PLENTY of info up front..... Never again.

Curt and the Outside Living Concepts team did a phenomenal job upgrading our backyard. They are a highly skilled team of professionals that go above and beyond and deliver as promised. Curt is an outstanding designer with a great passion for what he does. His recommendations were on point as he weaved what we were looking for with his expertise and vision. It was great seeing George, the lead foreman, and Daniel, the lead mason, bring Curt’s vision to life and turn a plain backyard with a pool to something that now resembles a 5-star resort. We are very happy with the final product and absolutely love our new backyard!

I am giving two stars because unfortunately, I have more complaints than praise for my experience with them. I used their services recently and will start with the good. The team of three men they sent to work on my yard were fantastic. They were friendly, efficient, and communicative. How these men could smile and be friendly while working in the hot summer sun is beyond me. I appreciated them.
On to my gripes. The office is a hot mess. I called and gave them my info to schedule an appointment, only to have to call them back five days later to say I still need an appointment (someone was supposed to reach out to me to schedule my appointment and never did). So, the second time I once again had to go through giving my information because they didn't have it. It was like I never made the first phone call, which irritated me because having my yard cleaned up was time sensitive.
They tell me someone will be out to assess my property and provide an estimate. I wait all morning well into the afternoon. I receive an email with the estimate later that evening, which irritated me. Here's why: Apparently someone came by but didn't bother to ring my doorbell. I wanted to show the person specific areas to make sure my needs were clear and there were no surprise charges. I wasted my day sitting around waiting for someone to come when in fact, they did but didn't bother to let me know. So inconsiderate.
Speaking of surprise charges, if you hire them, expect to possibly pay an additional $100 beyond what you thought you would pay. During my phone conversation with the office I was explicit in what my needs were and specifically asked what I would be charged for. At no point was it mentioned that there would be additional fees for services I didn't ask for. Yes, looking back it was vaguely mentioned in the contract as fees MAY apply (not WILL apply), however they just as easily could have placed it in the actually bid clearly. Or perhaps if I had a chance to speak to the person that came and assessed my property in ghostly fashion, this would've been covered in the conversation. I felt the way thet went about this extra charge was shady, therefore losing my trust. I paid it, but with resent as I felt trapped by what I think is slithery business practice.
So much of this could have been avoided if this company had better communication skills.
As far as my yard, I am pleased by what the men did. They were smart with the time I paid for and brought my property to a place where I can actually breathe. Thank you, labor Team!
As for the people working behind the scenes, I just can't.

A beautiful yard on a beautiful home is truly amazing. I hired the team from Desert Sunview Landscaping LLC for this. The guys are great. They did a great job in the desert heat. The yard looked like a park. Everyone says it's great. My family is happy with it. My heart is filled with happiness. I recommend everyone.

I had to do grading floor around our house for drainage issue and remove old tree stump from the ground. I got quotes from 6 different companies. All Terrain Landscaping gave me the most affordable quote. The process was very smooth and hassle free. Adam listened and communicated multiple times with me regarding my concern and goal of the project and applied every single little detail requested. Adam and his crews were on time on the project day, and they started the project right away at 6 am and finished everything before 12 pm. His crews were extremely professional. They kept checking with me about their progress, and gave me multiple chances to tell them my input. Could you please add more dirt here? Could you please make slope steeper here? Could you please dig these area deeper? Whenever I requested something regarding the project, it was done instantly and the crews would double check with me. Is this how you wanted? Wow, wow, wow. The crews were so professional and, I was extremely satisfied and happy with their work.
Make sure you get a quote from this company before you make your decision on any project in landscaping. Excellent on everything!!!
