When I first started with Poolman in Jan. 2020 I was happy to have them as I never seen my pool so clean. My service tech was Q and he was phenomenal. Awesome personality and was very thorough and did honest work. The only issue I had at the time was their payment set up. You could never view your payments, view services and any work being done or paid for. I called them for years telling them their payment system is very shady and unprofessional and they would tell me they are working on it. Things started change and Poolman advised that Q would be servicing another area and I would have a new tech. It was nothing but problems from that point forward. My pool was green for weeks at a time and then I would complain and I would have to go through so much wait time and response time just to talk to someone. I would never know about issues and they would bill me and never asked or advised me that they were doing something different and would be billing me. I warned them to not do things extra to my pool without letting me know and then bill me for extra services that I had no idea was needed.
I paid for months and months of pool service even when my pool was not usable due to my pool being green time after time. My Jacuzzi was constantly filthy and when I would complain, the service tech retaliated and threw chlorine tablets in my pool and left the basket out of its place.
At times they would send out a manager but there was no compensation. They happily took my payments though, for poor service and an unusable pool. I continued to see billing for things NO ONE advised me of and my trust with Poolman was nonexistent. There were days that my pool looked like no one ever came out and cleaned the pool.
I constantly reported issues and there was never any type of satisfaction with my service. They would be very annoyed when I addressed issues and I would get snide remarks for my issues. It was exhausting.
I was done with Poolman and was tired of trying to get them to do their job. I called Poolman and tried to cancel but the representative Jessica was awful and rude. She told me I could not cancel and that I had signed a 30-day cancellation contract. Asked for the contract and she stated that she had to get permission. She then started telling me that I had missed payments from over a year ago and that I owed them for more partial payments. She was informed that I pay every month and can prove it and that she is incorrect. She had to dig to find the correct information but kept correcting herself after I told her she was incorrect. Her demeanor was so off putting and frustrating to deal with. She eventually hung up on me and I called and spoke to better representative who handled the matter professionally and verified all the billing errors were incorrect. Hate that I cannot remember her name but Poolman needs to have her train all the other rude and incompetent employees, because she handled the matter correctly and professionally.
Things for Poolman to change:
1) Rude representatives (listen to the phone call with both reps)
2) Better pool techs (If you guys still have Q, have him train and give this guy a raise or promote him)
3) Promote honesty with the work your techs do
4) Admonish retaliation with your clients from your tech and compensate when you are wrong
5) YOUR BILLING SYSTEM still sucks and needs major improvement.
6) Inform your clients when you plan on doing an extra job that you plan on billing extra for.
7) Don't try and collect in a rude way, when you think your client didn't pay from A YEAR AGO. You guys have a lot of billing errors and if I did not keep records of my payment you guys would be falsely collecting from your customers. I had to prove I paid and was falsely over billed many times. You guys will rudely demand payment like Jessica did and she was WRONG. Wonder how many others were bullied to falsely overpay because there was no records to prove otherwise.
