Best Deck Staining in Phoenix AZ

I had tile installed by this company. One guy came out and installed the bathroom tile in 1 day. It looks great.

After our driveway got cracked and we needed to fix it, we hired The Scottsdale Concrete Company. They did what they promised, and it looks great!

I called Mel for a quote, he provided a prompt response and showed up on time. He knocked out the quote on site and had a contract to us within 2 days. His quote was a well below other contractor's. When they started the job they were on time and efficient. They always left the job clean and everything back in place. He has done a couple of jobs for us and we've been extremely pleased both times.

Fair prices and quality work.

We had a concrete project go south on us and the finished product was sub par at best. We contacted Sun Valley and had the driveway diamond ground and polyaspartic coated. Sun Valley really saved us on this project without them our customer would have never given us a great review. I highly recommend them for any of your concrete coating needs. Galaxy is top-notch in our book! Their sales representative, Alex Chavez was amazing with his technical background. He answered all of our questions and presented several options for us to choose from. From beginning (initial call back to schedule from Karie) to end (Coating Team - Joshua, Jorge Sr and Jorge Jr) everyone was just great! Polite, on time, answered all of our questions as we watched their process, cleaned up very well every day and in the end the Coating Team encouraged us to let the company know if there was anything that we wanted to touch up or correct (touch-ups = 3, correct = zero).

But the product! It has created a whole new look and feel on our patio floors, driveway and garage floor. It is truly a great find, and with the 15-year warranty we are highly satisfied!! Many of our neighbors stopped by during the process to remark on the new look of our property, and they STILL do!! Thank you, Galaxy!!

WOW!!....SERIOUSLY.....WOW!! So, this is my second time with an “epoxy floor”......and now will be my last! The first time I did it-I got scammed. They didn’t use epoxy, they did the job in one day and it was three weeks before it started peeling and chipping off. American Epoxy Arizona is such a professional organization, with a personal touch. Communication was excellent, great value and the quality of work and materials was amazing (and trust me, I was paying VERY close attention this time)!! I used Desert Coatings (DC) to do painted concrete flooring throughout our house back in August or September of 2017. The flooring consisted of a total of approximately 1,700 square feet of flooring. The house that this work was done at was a vacation house at the time, so I wasn’t there to supervise the work when it was done. Other work was being done at the house by another contractor at the same time. Overall, the final finished floor was okay, but there were some things I wasn’t happy about.

During their install process I received a call from my general contractor that the flooring installers had gotten cement material all over the newly painted doors and baseboards. I called DC and they gave me a $700 credit to have the doors and baseboards fixed and repainted. After the flooring job was done, I came out to the house and discovered that the workers had spilled concrete in various spots on my newly painted patio cool deck. I was able to power wash some of it away, but some still remains to this day.

In a bedroom some tile had to be removed and DC had to use a self-leveling concrete to even out the floor, as well as raise a portion to make it level with the rest of the room. When I was able to come out and look at the flooring, I noticed that this area was very wavy and had bumps in some spots. I called DC and they came out and applied another coat, which improved it, but the finish still wasn’t smooth flat in the end.

In the living room they had to fill the entire room with about 2-3 inches of concrete to fill the void left by removing the existing wood underlayment that was previously used to build up the floor. Where this new poured concrete met the existing concrete, a crack developed about 6-12 months later, which caused the paint to chip away. There were a couple other cracks that developed too. I called DC and they sent someone out to fix it. The repair consisted of them applying more paint over the cracked area. The repair ended up not being flush with the rest of the finish, and the color did not match the rest of the flooring. This crack is in a prominently noticeable area of the house too.

Fast forward to 2020-2021, the crack reappeared and the paint began to crack and chip away again. I didn’t call DC right away because I still was not living in the house full time yet. After moving in full time, the chipping away became worse from walking over the area. I called DC twice in August 2022 (8/25 & 8/29), both times reaching an answering service. They said they would pass the message along and someone would call me by the next day. No one called me back. After the second call I decided to start emailing them (9/1/22). The first email response I got was that Tom Allen (the owner) was out of state that week, so I waited about two weeks and emailed them again (9/14). I received an email back (9/16) stating that they were on vacation and would call me back when they returned. I waited a month and did not receive a response, so I emailed again (10/17/22) and received no response. I emailed a final time (10/27/22) and again no response.

In addition to the above there are a few spots here and there that I wasn’t happy with – under the kitchen island (uneven finish and sheen), a few wavy uneven spots here and there throughout the house. I didn’t write a review at the time, because I just figured I’d live with it as is, but now that I can’t get a response from them, or have them come out to do the repair, I’m writing a response now.

I do not recommend and would not use Desert Coatings again (I felt this way before the lack of response, but even more so now), especially if you’re looking for a high-end finish. I have since read other reviews where they do not respond to follow up calls for repairs when needed.

Can’t get Steve to return our phone calls. The epoxy is cracking and no other company will touch it because it isn’t their work. All other companies offer a lifetime guarantee. Steve now claims he doesn’t do residential work anymore. He has left us high and dry.
