Best Repair And Remodeling in Phoenix AZ

I had Atomic Construction replace about 1600 sq ft of carpet and tile in my house with rigid stone core vinyl plank. We already had the material but didn’t use the suppliers installer due to the outrageous cost they were charging for the simplest of tasks. Jon from Atomic came out to do measurements for a quote, he supplied the quote the same day-almost $2000 less than the floor supplier! The reviews Atomic had were so good I had no qualms about immediately agreeing to their quote.
Atomic was able to start as soon as my flooring arrived. The installation team, lead by Lalo was superb. They were so respectful of both us and our home. I was amazed at how quickly they were able to do the demolition and the install. They cleaned up after themselves every day and were able to do it with very little dust. Most importantly they were able to show up on time everyday.
Our only added cost was for leveling the floor-which is vital for both correct installation and for warranty purposes. We have had LVP installed in a previous house so this was not a great surprise to us.
Overall we could not be more happy with the job, and will be having Atomic come back to replace our shower.

They did the floors in my home and I am crazy happy about it. I shopped around with several big retail stores and found a better selection and better price at Arizona Floors. Robert explained everything completely and install was done a week later. Installers were clean and professional. I will definitely recommend Arizona Floors for any flooring project.

I can’t say enough good things about James, Terry, Chris and this company. They just wrapped a ten-location flooring project for one of our customers in the Phoenix Area and throughout the whole process, they maintained excellent communication in relaying project progress, details and completion photos to us at our offices here in Ohio. They even handled the logistics for us regarding the placement and relocating of the refrigeration trucks needed for perishables to be stored while the restaurant coolers were getting their new floors. They worked with us and our customer to schedule and complete these jobs at a time and in a manner that was the least disruptive to our customer’s business so I would highly recommend them for any flooring job needed and look forward to working with them again in the future.

I would rate 6 stars if I could. Alan responded quickly, gave us a very reasonable quote, and the quality of his work is outstanding.

The workmanship is high-quality. They delivered on what they said they were going to do. Heath, is extremely easy to work with and came up with some great ideas. They also did a remodel on another home. Kitchen, bathroom and family room and it was a phenomenal job. I would definitely recommend and use them again.

I would give 6 stars if the system would allow me to do so. Ali and his team are fantastic, timely, professional, honest and the work of very high quality. We are definitely considering them for future projects. Absolutely fantastic.

Audrey from Home Solutionz contacted me about a master bath remodel that we had been looking to do for the last two years, I told her I wanted to make sure they were going to manage this project and all the work could be taken care of BEFORE WE STARTED and she indicated that she had all the subcontractors lined up. We delayed agreeing until she promised to get all the vendors together to go over the work before the project started to make sure there were no issues with the various work that was scheduled. That never happened, even after the project was delayed by a week ONE HOUR before they were supposed to start. She only showed up on the first day work started (the day the project was fully paid for) and never returned and only finally texted me after everything was supposed to be done, never called to see how the project was going while it was happening. I ended up managing everything. One of the subcontractors for the drywall and glass block work only showed up a week after the project started and then never actually submitted a quote, so I have to go out and find other contractors to finish the work so I can actually USE my bathroom, and it wasn’t available for guests this thanksgiving, that was fun.

The actual tile work that Martin and his father did is excellent. The plumbing work by Freddy of AC by Jay was also good, so the subcontractors were great. That was the only thing Audrey was correct about. I’d hire the subcontractors again and refer them to others, so that is the only thing Home Solutionz actually accomplished. We canceled part of the install, yet that part of the job was never refunded and we have been charged the full amount, although a couple of extra $10 trimpieces did need to be added on, so I guess that equals out, NOT, but they wouldn’t know about it because nobody from Home Solutions even bothered to talk to me after they had charged my Credit Card.

So IF you want to pay a middleman who never actually does anything other than put you in contact with subcontractors who aren’t big enough to have advertising budgets, go ahead and hire Home Solutionz. I did receive one text from the Briana, the project manager, only that it was being delayed by a week exactly ONE HOUR prior to starting and after I had received several scheduling emails and texts confirming that work was going to be started on that Monday morning. Otherwise, I was inundated only with emails from this company requesting referrals for a $100 kickback from the company. I won’t be using Home Solutionz again and I doubt I’d ever recommend them or whoever Paul Turpin is.

My experience with MicMar wasn't as good. Started to plan my floor project and demo with them a few months ago. Spent a lot of time and many trips to their office for picking up samples to get the exact floor that we wanted and finally a few months later we were ready to get started. In the meantime we went thru 2 floor estimators (the first one was let go and the 2nd one left the company for medical reasons) and the 3rd estimator was about to cash in on all the hard work that was done by the previous estimator until I was told that he will do me a favor and honor the price that I was giving on the floor a few months ago because the material prices went up since. So just to be clear with his statement I specifically asked him on what he is referring to. Labor prices? Internal material prices? Manufacturer prices? His response was that they are charging me less for labor and the manufacturer increased the prices on the floors we picked out. The only thing he was not aware of is that I spoke directly to the manufacturer prior and specifically asked the regional representative if they increased any pricing on this specific flooring that we picked. His answer was no. When confronting the situation and flat out calling the estimator out on his lie in a chain of emails and I also had the owner Mike copied on the email. I got an answer from the owner right away to apologize for the misunderstanding and asked me how he can help. When I replied and asked him not to insult me with a misunderstanding statement since everything is in black and white on the email chain and challenge him to explain what I misunderstood. He went silent and received an email days later from another person that work there that she is trying to explain that their buying power is not as much and they're a small shop. According to the regional representative they did not increase any prices so I'm not sure where that is coming from.
Bottom line is if you want to get your floors or any demolition done by an honest company that don't lie to try to make a sale look elsewhere. I will NOT recommend them to any of my friends and family and I hope you do the same.
I do understand that they do have to make a profit but try to be honest and don't lie to your customers that are spending a lot of money. Also if they just admit to the lie since everything was documented in an email chain maybe I would have gave them another chance.

Our experience with Custom Floor Covering was a disaster and required legal involvement. First the quality of the workmanship on the hardwood floor installation was defective, and although they ultimately admitted their mistakes and remedied most of it, the time, aggravation, mess, and disruption that resulted took a heavy toll on us. It required taking it up and reinstalling it. We have multiple residential and commercial properties, and to have this get to this level is something we are not used to. Additional damage to adjacent ceramic tiles occurred, and the experience to that point was hostile and difficult, and we were uncomfortable and mistrustful by then, so letting them repair the damaged ceramic tiles was not possible.

Despite attempts to pay the majority of what we owed them, they fought us on deducting the cost of the repair for the damaged tiles. A civil lawsuit resulted, and unfortunately this was during COVID, and our reasonable attempts to reach a settlement with mediation were refused by Custom Floor Covering, Inc, and it proceeded to a virtual trial. This was a mandated virtual trial limited to only one hour, handled by a Justice of the Peace who had never passed the bar exam, and was dominated by mistruths stated by the owner and employees of Custom Floor Covering. I had only a few remaining minutes of that hour to even make a stab at getting to the truth. Unfortunately, the truth never could be shown, then another 70 days went by before a “judgement” was rendered, and it was full of factual mistakes, demonstrating a lack of understanding by this “judge”. We then filed a motion of reconsideration, basically just asking her to show us her calculations and get the numbers in her math accurate. This request for reconsideration was denied with a one-word response, “DENIED”. There were enough mistakes in the handling of the case at the judicial level that we certainly had grounds to appeal it, but again there is a risk and additional expense and time involved, and at a point, we decided to just cut our losses and give up. Normally not my preference, but we were sick of it.

Custom Floor Covering, Inc, their owner, and their employees will deny all this and blame us for being too particular after they went out of their way to agree to what were just our unreasonable personal preferences, and they will deny what occurred was damage and improper installation whatsoever. That is what they stated at the trial and wrongly it was accepted. Sadly, justice is not always done at any trial, and there is always that risk when you go to trial, but we felt badly violated and assumed a reasonable approach, photos demonstrating the damage, would all logically be understood and make sense. It wasn’t, so I bring this up so that anyone considering flooring of any kind will not have to suffer the same experience we did. There are so many reputable companies out there who put the customer first and make their best effort to please you. Mistakes can happen, and we don’t expect perfection on the first attempt, but we do expect people to be responsible when they make a mistake and take the necessary steps to resolve it. We expect them to be honest, truthful, and not lie. This was everything but that, it can be much better, and I urge anyone to avoid Custom Floor Covering, Inc. and all the misery they caused us.

I have photos, videos, and abundant documentation to fully support everything I have said here, and I will be happy to share them with anyone to prevent experiencing this unpleasantness.

My wife and I were stuck without a kitchen floor after a pipe burst under our sink. The folks at Arizona Hardwood were great throughout the whole process of getting our kitchen back together. They helped us pick out a great wood floor that didn't bust our wallet.
