They designed a new countertop layout to include a functional eat-in bar. They showed me dozens of options for countertops and backsplashes. Incredibly disappointed and frustrated with my experience with Porter.
I placed an order for a mantle I was told would be 13 weeks out just before closing on a Saturday, and attempted to cancel the order the following Monday after finding a more reasonably priced option that would deliver in 4 weeks.
I was then told deposits, which was 50% of the total, were non-refundable, which was not communicated during the buying process. Porter then pointed to the invoice, drawing, and receipt, which has the disclaimer in approximately 5 point font buried in a 240 word paragraph, and was signed by me in an approximately 60 second time span on Saturday when the salesperson asked me to sign here, here, and here.
After disputing the charge, but still being required to pay based on the signed invoice, I requested that Porter donate the deposit to charity, since the only other option was a store credit.
At this point, I have not received any proof a charitable donation has been made, nor have I received a credit, and it has been 5 weeks since my donation request.

I am not disagreeing with any point you have made, especially since you have almost reiterated verbatim what I originally posted.
If I had been told verbally there was a non-refundable deposit policy, you would not have heard anything from me. The fact is, you currently have over $500 from me that was provided as a deposit, and I have received nothing from it. Simply provide me a receipt that you made a charitable donation. I do not see how that is an unreasonable request.
I am sure you understand that I do not want you to benefit monetarily based on my experience with your company. I think we can both feel good about helping out a worthy cause.

I hate Sanels, they are the worst. We placed our order October 7th for cabinets and an island. We still don’t have our complete order. ITS MARCH 14. We were promised 4-6 weeks for these “in stock cabinets” I’ve gotten to the point where I call at least 2x weekly to check on our order and NO ONE can give any information. We’ve gotten the run around for everything, “it’s on the next shipment, we’re waiting for the shipment to be unloaded, let me get back to you by the end of the day” etc.
The cabinets we have in our possession are the wrong size. All the positive reviews must be paid for/fake. I am livid with Sanels and would NEVER recommend them to ANYONE not even my worst enemy! RUN from this shady, unresponsive, business!
