Best Exterior Painting in Phoenix AZ

I would like to give a 1-Star review but to be fair, I will give a 2-star review because the job was completed. Just as a quick overview, I would not recommend Holtzman Home Improvement.

PROS and CONS List below:

PROS:

*Bathroom remodel was completed.

*Liked cabinet finishes and style options.

CONS:

*We were given a timeline of 6-8 weeks for project completion but ended up taking 6 months.

*In contract, the introduction page says that Brandon Holtzman “… will personally meet you and visit your job site several times throughout your project to ensure quality and care is not only in the workmanship but also in our demeanor.” Never met the man; not even once.

*“Designer” which they refer to as “sales-person”, had a hard time keeping up with the demands of our project. Made numerous mistakes in terms of measurements that caused wrong products to be ordered and mistakes in the actual remodel. Assumed certain details about project without consulting us. Example: Cabinet above toilet was bigger than expected (inaccurate measurements) and overlapped on to the exhaust fan, “Sales-Person” assumed that we were just going to move the exhaust fan altogether; this would have cost us hundreds of dollars to move the fan 2-3 inches.

*Crew would show up whenever, sometimes not at all even though scheduled. Had crew show up at 6am without notice multiple times. Had to state over and over again for a start time that worked for my family; between 7-8am. Nothing ridiculous. No consistency whatsoever.

*Some of the crew did not speak English, which I absolutely didn’t mind at all. But Project manager, “sales person”, did not speak the language. I never expected to be the sole translator numerous times in person and on the phone. Because of this language barrier, numerous mistakes were made on our project.

*Crew would come to job site and not know the status of our project, therefore would ask me questions about what needed to be done, as well as certain technical details that only a professional would know (example: electrical).

*Crew would come to job unprepared and would leave to go to Home Depot for 1+ hours to grab material. Not sure if this is standard, but I believe that they should have been prepared for the day’s work at our project.
*Overpriced. Example: Updated replacement of bathroom exhaust fan that was picked up at home depot for around $45.00-$55.00 and less than an hour to install, cost almost $400.00.

*Project manager forgot to discuss details of our project to team so there were details that were left out. Example: Requested to have a shower bench installed; shower was “completed” with no shower bench.

*Project manager and “sales-person” should have communicated more in terms of our project details; numerous mistakes could have been avoided.

*Low quality of materials: tile/grout. Numerous tiles are cracked, chipped, and grout has already started to come out in chunks. Also, grout that was never wiped off, has solidified and won’t come off.

*Already have water damage; yes, water damage in a bathroom on a pony wall that neither the project manager and “sales-person” gave input on how to finish to avoid said water damage.

*Was double charged, and charged for work not done. Caught mistakes by thoroughly reviewing receipt and was reimbursed. If I didn’t catch these details we would have easily been overcharged.

*At the completion of the project you are given a 5-year warranty. We have recently contacted Holtzman Home Improvement to come and fix said damage and have not heard back; it has been a few weeks already.

*Their slogan is “People should do business with people they trust”; would not recommend.

A few years ago, we had several significant cracks in the plaster walls and ceilings of our 1910 Craftsman bungalow. Rod with Homework Remodels was able to fix them all in one day and even now we can't tell where his patchwork starts and ends. Having a 100+ year old home in Phoenix, we're always looking for true craftsmen that will respect the style and idiosyncrasies of older houses and not just do the quick and easy fix. Thanks, Rod!

Huge shout out to Tom (plumber) who came to our house today to fix a clog in our line that was causing the toilet to back up into the shower. He was efficient and knowledgeable and was in and out in about a half hour -- leaving a clean, flowing drain for us! I just contacted PJH yesterday to report this plumbing issue, so I was thrilled by how quickly they and Tom came to our rescue!

SheWorks did an extraordinary job replacing all electrical wiring and switches after rodent ate away wire covering under our mobile home. They arrived on time, completed all work, cleaned up and only charged what they quoted even though this job was much more extensive than anticipated. I highly recommend them without any reservations!

Horrible experience with this company! Actually they do mot deserve any kind of star! The secretary lady seemed to be very nice so i trusted they were a good company until i met the main boss contractor Tim! He is very rude and definately has an Anger problem & should never be a part of a business if you do mot know how to be professional about it! I had them do a releveling service for me on my double wide trlr but come to find out i was told they could not do it due how bad it measurements were from one end to the other so they could not relevel it so was told to just get my refund and find someone else to do the job so thats what i went to the office for on monday but instead got a rude awakening from how theyre real true colors are and was even threatened to be picked up and thrown out of there! Very unprofessional and a rip off business so highly do not reccommend this place!! All i can say is Karma's got my back!

Kitchen remodel spring/summer 2022. Also added some additional items such as flooring replacement and bathroom vanity upgrade.

We Calvary Restoration LLC have been working with Offcut Interiors- Home Remodelling for some time now and I can honestly say that it has been a great pleasure to work with him in every project we’ve worked together. Xtra Mile was comunicative, and easy to work with. Work was finished before their timeline and looks great. We had them install a new tile shower that is perfect. Tile and drywall in our worship. They even painted. It has been a pleasure working with them.

Handyman arrived earlier than anticipated (which was great!), finished the job promptly and it looks fantastic (installed a deadbolt in our solid wood front door that previously did not have a deadbolt hole. I appreciate their expediency while doing solid work!

It says a lot about a company when they follow through with everything they said they would do. It might seem like a givin but working with so many builders over the years you learn its not. And when you work with people like Ellen you learn to appreciate it. Hope to work with her again on the next one.

Matador remodeled our home and upgraded bathroom after a upstairs. despite supply chain issues, replacements were quickly found. very professional. drywall crew was phenomenal. Tile for the shower was placed with extreme perfection.

Rob at Project Construction LLC has done a lot of high quality work for our real estate investment company here in Scottsdale. Before we met rob we had a few contractor nightmares but am happy to say that those are over and would highly recommend him for your job.

Pricing isn't accurate. Was quoted an initial estimate in my home with the salesman seeing the space. Waited four days to receive a written estimate, only after calling office several times to request it did I receive it. The initial estimate then doubled. Asked the salesman why and was told the angles in my layout aren't standard and are an additional charge. Reached out to the owner and instead of him getting back to me he forwarded my concerns back to the salesman that had already misled me. Never heard from the owner or office staff. Would absolutely recommend you look elsewhere. Not a reliable company from the start could only imagine how frustrating it could have gotten had I decided to do any further business with them.

A cheat and an embezzler. Cheated us of 14000 dollars.Took money, never did work.
