Installation of new shower and bath went very smoothly. The installers were efficient and professional—-very meticulous. The only disappointment was the quality (appearance) of the brushed nickel fixtures. We have had brushed nickel fixtures in other areas of our home that needed very little attention to keep them looking good. These fixtures are extremely difficult to keep looking good. But, I could highly recommend the company.

My wife and I purchased our Home, a Midcentury Modern built in 1955 by Ralph Haver in the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix. The Home had original ungrounded wiring with exposed wire splicing. There were also two rooms that were added by a previous owner without permits.

Ultimately, we wanted to fully restore our Home to its original character, while at the same time, installing all of the safety, amenities and conveniences found in homes of new construction today.

We interviewed a handful of contactors for this task, Steve Shinn from Homework Remodels being one of them. Steve immediately stood out from the group. We found him easy to talk to, prompt and extremely knowledgeable with the historic characteristics of our Haver Home.

With Steve’s help, we nearly rebuilt most of the major components of our Home. When it was said and done, we upgraded the entire wiring and electric panel, installed new HVAC main unit and ducting lines, replaced all of the plumbing lines (both supply and drain lines including the sewer), installed LED recessed lighting throughout the Home, constructed a stem wall, a trench drain and added mini split HVAC units which the City required for issuing permits for the two unpermitted rooms, installed a 16” slider to the backyard, utilized steel beams to remove loan bearing walls in order to open up the kitchen and the living rooms, installed a tankless water heater system, applied sprayed insulation in the small attic, and performed various other upgrades.

We are very happy with Steve’s work. We found Steve’s work to be of high quality and found Steve’s expertise and creativity in helping rebuild our Haver Home to be invaluable.

We plan on hiring Steve in the near future to complete Phase 2 of our Home, which will include all of the finishes.

We had Spicegirl Remodeling renovate our kitchen this summer. New floor, countertops, tiling, lots of painting. We are extremely pleased with how the kitchen came out. Ericka was awesome and did what was necessary to ensure a great outcome. As with just about any project of this nature there will be bumps along the way but it is how those bumps are dealt with that matters. Ericka was flawless in handling those bumps and we can't thank her enough. After several months everything is holding up beautifully. Her crew was also very professional and we enjoyed having them work in our home. I highly recommend them!

ABA remodeled my home - kitchen, baths, new flooring, raised kitchen ceiling, rerouted HVAC, new windows and doors plus more. It has been transformed into a tranquil and beautiful space! Joe's attention to detail such as tile baseboards in the bathroom, granite window sill in the kitchen, and tiling the complete area before installing cabinets and closet doors are some of the small details that make this home stand out. We hired XLT to renovate 3 bathrooms in our house. They installed walk in shower, change the shower fixtures in master bathroom and install tile floor in all 3 bathrooms. We were very satisfied with the quality of materials provided and the installation work. We recommend to our friend and they renovated their master bath with XLT.

My master bathroom was remodeled. They did an excellent job and were very neat and always cleaned up after finishing each day. Workmanship was excellent and kept me updated daily. I highly recommend them and they went above and beyond.

I had an ongoing mold in the wall and a huge portion of drywall cut out in my home between insurance that didn't want to cover anything, companies who weren't eager to help me get back my master bedroom it was a total nightmare. Then I found Jeremy and from email one he was straightforward, helpful and quick with a quote. I had to wait a little while for his service but it was totally worth it. He was very fairly priced and hardworking. Jayce did an awesome job with the drywall, he is for sure a drywall expert! In fact, it looks way better than the rest of my home now because of his skills!
