Best Commercial Electrical Contractor in Charlotte NC

My 2nd time using this company, and I am very pleased. Technician was very professional, kind, and he identified and fixed my issue in under an hour. Definitely would recommend this outfit without a doubt.

It is great that Bates has superb customer service folks on the phone and was able to send someone out to install a 240V outlet in the garage as early as the next day and the two gentlemen who showed up were super nice ... however ... despite the costs being explicitly stated in advance ($80 trip charge, $80/hr labor, plus parts), I ended up being charged 1.5 hours for just over half an hour's worth of not quite professional work. Two reasons for that: a) I was apparently charged almost an hour for the technician's time to go shopping at Home Depot for the most basic of parts (an outlet, a box for the outlet, a few feet of cabling, etc.), and b) the person who did the work was the new guy and although he was experienced, he was clearly being supervised by the more senior tech for a reason. End result? An outlet that's not flush with the wall because a few corners were cut. I don't get why I have to pay you labor rates to show up at the job site with the proper equipment when I already told you what I needed to have done and I even sent you pictures _well before_ you arrived at the job site. It's not like this person had to leave my home and go far away and then come back (but even then, shouldn't you have some of these things in your truck, especially on the day of the job?). I'm sure he stopped at the Home Depot on the way from his previous gig to this one. I feel like levying a trip charge and labor rates for shopping is technically double-dipping. When I brought up these concerns to their customer support folks, I was told someone would be calling me back (after much resistance and arguing; they're exceptionally trained ... I felt like I called an insurance company to file a claim). Well, three days later, I haven't heard from anyone.

UPDATE 08/24: After getting nowhere with the back-office folks, the owner himself was kind enough to speak with me, hear me out, and send Justin out to make it right by his customer. I really do appreciate that. I am definitely pleased with the end result. However, I think it's important for customers to know, up front, that they're liable for the electrician's time spent procuring the parts needed for the job. If given the choice, I would rather go get them myself instead of paying labor rates for that Home Depot trip. It could be that I'm just that naive and that this is how the entire industry operates.

Tim took literally eight hours to put in a meter box. Not only did he spend all thoes hours in my backyard smoking cigarettes with the landlord it took him two days to put in an inspection ticket for his work leaving us without power for two extra days.

Just moved into an older home and needed some outlets placed, both inside and outside. Nate scheduled a walk thru the very next day, gave a detailed quote, and did the work on time. I would use him again and would recommend him to friends and neighbors.

They are idiots

Jabril was great. Installed landscape lighting and several outside motion detection lights. All done professionally and at a great price. I would use and recommend Jabril at Discount Electrical again and to my neighbors and friends.

I got bussin chips and the windows r big and cool to look out of. Best fast food restaurant I’ve ever been to. I’d give it ten stars if I could. Very swaggy. Very drippy. Owner is extremely girlboss.

Had a sudden loss of AC after another contractor performed annual mtce. They (CinC) said was lack of adequate attic insulation & other misc. reasons. After 2 months of back & forth, we called Adams. Jim (Adams) determined our problem was not any that CinC stated. Eddie (Adams) came out & determined the cause immediately! Corrected & had AC in 10 minutes! Subsequently contracted Adams to do duct overhaul. Juan & team did the job in short order & fixed an upstairs cooling issue we had for years. From start to finish - Adams performed exceptionally! Highly recommend - great job folks!
