Best General Contractors in San Francisco CA
Victor was very professional from the beginning. He promptly returned my call, he came out quickly to meet with me and give me an estimate for the work that I wanted done. He gave me some great suggestions in the process. He had his electricians start the job within a day.
The electricians did a great job of installing new lights, outlets, sensors and switch’s. They were true professionals.
I highly recommend Andrade Link Electric.

I hired Sergio based on a on NextDoor recommendation. He is a state licensed electrician who has previously done work for contractors. He came out the same day to give an estimate and was able to do the work the next day. His rates are reasonable and he uses high quality materials. I was very happy with the work that was done. Our bathroom socket is finally up to code with a GFCI circuit. Thanks Sergio!

Did a great job and at a great price. I did my research and called a few electricians. Electro-Integrity was by far the most fairly priced. They used quality parts and provided a very clean and professional installation.

Last week I made an unsafe attempt to change out a ceiling light fixture, I did not turn off the power.
Of course in the process I managed to cross the wires, resulting in a blown circuit.
Easy fix. Right. Well I threw all the breakers but nothing changed. I repeated the process a few times but could not get power back.
SO I went throug the yellow pages, calling a number of electricians, hoping I could get someone to come look at my situation. Everyone wanted to help but they were all very busy and unable to help.
Finally I called Momentum Electrical in Oakland and talked to Tom. Over the phone he gave me some suggestions to try but still no power.
Tom told me that Momentum was very busy as well, but after I pleaded with him Tom was very gracious and said that he had a crew not far from my home and he have them come by my house ASAP.
Well within an hour, Douglas from Momentum Electric showed up at my home.
He looked at the situation, made a quick voltage check, went to the main panel and found the problem.
Douglas explained to me what I had overlooked.
I am very pleased with the way this company, Momentum Electric, functions.
Tom was very helpful on the phone and even more generous with his offering of crew time.
Douglas was the consummate professional. Courteous, knowledgeable and friendly.
I was helped out of a tough problem by these guys and I will use their service in the future when I upgrade the wiring in my home.
Thanks Momentum Electric

I can not recommend Urban Energy highly enough. Having done a remodel recently with multiple contractors from different trades working on my home, I have to say that Fergal really stood apart from the rest and went above and beyond what we expected . Not only did they do great work, but they were punctual, worked efficiently, and the costs were within the quote which was reasonable.
For me what sets good contractors apart is communication, neatness, accurate pricing and piece of mind. Urban Energy ticked all those boxes for me and will be getting return business from me down the road without question. The guys were friendly and got on with the job in a professional manner. Fergal and his team kept me informed every step of the way with updates. They were punctual and cleaned up after themselves each day. We wanted to make the home as energy effecient as possible and Fergal is an expert in this area, advising us on layout, technologies and fixtures to give optimal performance and cost savings. We also installed some smart home appliances and Urban Energy made sure they all worked with the electrical layout. All in all great electricians ,5 stars all the way!

I had a bunch of little things in the house bothering me and a few electricians had already ghosted me when they found out the job was so small. Not John! He came the same day, and we switched out to LEDs, swapped dimmers to LED-compliant versions and fixed a few outlets all in about an hour. So responsive - so easy!

McMillan Electric is difficult to work with, and ultimately they pulled out of the project before it even started due to their own internally imposed constraints.
We had reached out to them to do electrical work in our apartment, following a recommendation from our building management since they had worked with them in the past. They agreed to do the work and took our deposit to get a permit with the city (which they returned at the end when they pulled out).
Communication was sparse; it was hard to get traction for getting a proposal together. Even when a proposal was sent, they had actually sent us a different client's filled out proposal incorrectly.
When talking to them verbally, professionalism and customer service was lacking. Their tone was passive aggressive and made it feel like they were inconveniencing themselves by doing us a favor, rather than trying to serve us as a client who matters.
Originally, they agreed over the phone that they would also cut into the sheetrock in ceiling. In the middle of pushing the proposal through to our building management, they reversed their decision causing us to need to coordinate with yet another contractor to do this work. Moreover, McMillan Electric told us that the other contractor would have to be onsite at the same time and work in parallel with them. This made the job that much more of a logistical nightmare.
Our building requires that work be done no earlier than 9am, which is a reasonable request to not disturb neighbors. McMillan Electric refused to move forward claiming that their union requires work to start at 8am. Instead of figuring out the logistics on their own end, they moved this burden onto us as a client. They told us it was on us to change the rules of the building. They ended up blaming us by saying that they normally don't do residential units and only took this on as a sign of goodwill. Somehow, they were able to follow our building's rules previously but couldn't do so now.
Ultimately, it has been a colossal waste of time where we could have just gone with a different electrician who would have been more professional. We wasted two months of back and forth with them. Would not recommend them.
