The work was excellent and Mike was extremely responsive to calls and scheduling. Right on time (a rarity in NYC). Was pleased with the level of detail put into their work. Make sure you are crystal clear on expectations in advance - in order to get an estimate for work without surprises (additional fees) later on. You also need to be available to personally supervise the work being done. What you ask for may be more complicated than it looks (my experience with Emco.)

I had a circuit blow during a rainstorm which caused all the lights in the apartment to go out. Thought it was going to be a big job, but Rich was able to come early the next morning and fixed it in 20 minutes. His rate is reasonable. Highly recommend!

Top Brooklyn Electrician did an amazing job with all of our needs. They redid our electrical panel and upgraded it, added in a wall heater for our basement, and installed a new light...in a knob and tube fixture. All quickly, efficiently, and with wonderful explanations so we understood what they needed to do and why. We will definitely be using them again!

We had a short in one of the junction boxes in our basement—not that we knew that until Randy showed up—that was tripping one of circuit breakers and taking out half the outlets on the second floor. Randy had us back up and running in less than two hours. Not only that but one of the outlets that wasn't functioning before now works!

I cannot recommend this company enough! Courteous, professional—when we asked what his ETA was Randy told us less than an hour and, lo and behold, he was here in less than an hour!—and knowledgable. They're pros!

I called York Electric for the first time and go his phone message. Normally you don't get a quick response BUT I received a call back almost immediately. I was having a problem with an outlet getting very HOT with a heater plugged in. They sent someone over almost immediately and replaced the outlet. Unfortunately, it was a childproof outlet that was extremely difficult for me to insert a plug. I called again and the owner personally came over and fixed it. I would highly recommend this company. They are extremely capable and efficient. They respond to customer needs right away. I am a homeowner and also a real estate broker. This company is my new go-to for any electrical problems I might have in the future. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

Unfortunately this company is TROUBLE. I have been in business for 14yrs and worked with countless contractors never experiencing something like this! Actually I wouldn't bother to post, and tried everything to work something out. BUT THIS IS SO WRONG! I hired them to do a small light repair job and within a week the lighting faulted, I called to report the issue, and how we can fix the problem. The reply was feet dragging and finger pointing at me. During our conversation I find out they have a policy that automatically sends all their customers to a COLLECTION AGENCY! So we have to pay for the service within 30 days if it works or not!!! AS of today, I HAD TO PAY FOR LIGHTS THAT DONT WORK and they want to charge me to fix their mistake! Are you kidding me!!!! I WANT A REFUND!
