I had a pretty poor experience with Bates Electric. I requested an electrician out to my place and without my knowledge was scheduled for an emergency appointment (that started at 3PM?). I was not informed this was an emergency visit. While Bates says they are a Google Nest preferred vendor, the technician was not able to help at all. I ended up talking with the google nest help desk while the tech waited around for about 2 hours. After two hours he decided to check the power source (even though that was clearly stated on the nest it was the error all along) and was able to determine he couldn't help. I ended up calling another service that was able to find a solution in under 10 minutes. I reached out to let Bates know this and they took an additional eight days longer than stated to get back to me. As a young new homeowner I feel misled and that the situation was not handled up to expectation. I will not be using Bates in the future.

I previously worked with another electrician who ended up being completely unprofessional. I found Jacob the Electrician on Facebook and gave them a call. Two days later Chris and Scott showed up. They gave me a call ahead of time so I could meet them and not wait on them. They were very polite and cleaned up after themselves. I will hire them in the future.

Provided a quote over the phone that was better than any other company I called for a Tesla charger. They were communicative, on time, and did great work. I would highly recommend!

Contacted Leading Electric to install a 50 AMP RV Plug at a residential property. Very professional in the beginning. The quote was high, but his professionalism and being a veteran made hiring him make sense.

When he came out to do the job on day 1, a trencher went through a chain link fence after running it through a field line in our septic system.

He fixed the fence on day two and hired Steve Mill Plumbing to fix the septic. The fence repair was ok. Not back to normal, but it was ok with me. The plumber showed to temporarily fix the field line to keep ground water from entering lines.

He was told that we were hiring a plumber to fix the damage that he caused. He failed to communicate with the plumber on a price. The plumber pulled a fast one on my wife and had her pay it rather than sending the invoice to Leading Electric.

It took him 3 days to do a job that any other electrician would’ve done in half a day tops. He is now saying that a $900 repair is way too much for replacing a section of our field line. He wants to find a middle ground on the plumbing bill after charging me $2,400 for a 50 amp outlet to be wired into a breaker box with maybe a run of 40 feet of wire and after 3 days to get it done, not mentioning the chaos while trying to move into a new property with a damaged fence and septic line.

The middle ground for me is to warn people before hiring this company. Pics are of the fence, the field line sliced in half and of the mess we were left with after paying $900 out of pocket to repair the damage he caused.

As a small business owner, we had an electrical problem at our shop that caused us to not be able to complete our work as usual. I called several different electrical companies, only to be told no one is available or Let me check and see if I have a technician available and I'll call you back only to be left hanging with no call back. A&F was prompt, efficient and got the job done without over-charging us and got us back up and running same day. We will definitely call then again in the future when the need arises for an electrician. Thank you A&F!

Our tech Aaron was diligent to help our unit last as long as possible but ultimately recommended an immediate replacement. He informed us of the TVA UpLift program which is linked on the MCH website through which we were approved to receive a grant for a new HVAC unit and other energy efficient improvements to our home, saving us thousands of dollars this year and in the years to come. We were even able to request MCH as our preferred contractor for our UpLift installation.
