I don't usually leave reviews but Mike and Joe from Jacob the electrician installed a new kitchen light fixture today and both were great. Highly recommend using Jacob the Electrician for any and all electric work needed on your home. We recently had our electric service updated and what they thought would be a 5 hour job ended up being closer to a 12 hour job. The guys who were doing the work, David and Charles, had great attitudes despite the change in plans. They were polite, hard working, and were always willing to take the time to explain to me what they were doing. I’m feeling very relieved knowing that the electricity in my home is safer than ever and I’m very grateful to the team at Jacob the Electrician for their labor and help.

I have an old 1930s house and needed an exhaust fan, light switch, and outlet installed in my bathroom (not replacements, nothing was there before). I had put it off because I thought it wouldn't be affordable, but it was with JTE. Mike came out to do the work. Friendly and professional, he listened to what I wanted but also made suggestions on what would work best based on his expertise. I am very happy with the work he did, including making minimal/clean cuts in the wall which means easier repair work for me. I will definitely request him for my future electrical needs... SIX STARS

My call to JTE was promptly returned, my questions answered regarding replacement of our outdated panel, the cost given (which was less than other quotes!), and an appointment was made. Chris arrived promptly, was personable and knowledgeable, and replaced the panel. Great value, definitely recommend!

Had a power issue in kitchen and family room and could not figure out the cause. Jacob came out to troubleshoot the issue, determines the cause, and within an hour had power restored. He was friendly, very professional, and trustworthy. Highly recommend!

Overall a positive experience with the company! They ended up pushing my appointment by a couple of hours without telling me. That was a bit frustrating but the electricians that responded to the job were phenomenal. They explained everything that they were doing and took their time to make sure that the job was done correctly. I only had to articulate all of the work that needed to be done once. Matt and Chris came out today and were phenomenal! They came to Troubleshoot (and fixed!) a master bedroom/bath with no electricity to the outlets as well as troubleshoot a disposal issue AND replaced a burnt out outdoor outlet on our deck. All within an hourish! They explained the “what’s” and “why’s” to each situation and were definitely knowledgeable and respectful.
10/10 would recommend!

I called JTE for an appointment to fix my overhead kitchen lights and two outlets that stopped working suddenly. Charles and David arrived on schedule to check it out. They tested multiple outlets and performed a very thorough assessment of the wiring in my kitchen before arriving at a diagnosis. They explained the cause to me in understandable language and corrected it promptly. They were friendly and efficient and even swept up the areas they worked in. This is the second time I've used JTE and I will definitely be requesting Charles & David when I have additional repairs or maintenance that needs to be performed. Great job guys.

Mike added a new outlet in our crawl space. The cords were too short to reach in the original outlet placement, but he was willing to go the extra step to cut some boards and mount them in order to lower the outlet. None of which he knew prior to getting to us. He took it in stride and was very helpful. He also changed out one of our GFI outlets outside. Quick and professional work.

We live in an older home, which a previous owner was a DIY person. We were having some electrical issues and wanted a professional electrician to look at our problems. Chris was professional, efficient and had a great sense of humor! He worked with us, explaining items as he found them. He came up with ideas to help us fix some issues ourselves. I've used Jacob the Electrician for 4 different jobs at 2 different properties. They have changed multiple light fixtures and switches for me and also installed and mounted a microwave. I'm very happy with their service and their reasonable prices. This most recent time, Jeff and Charles arrived on time and were polite and respectful of my space. They were friendly and got the exterior light fixture changed out and hauled away the old one. I would recommend them to anyone.

I used their services yet again to replace a blown outlet. The service was quick and efficient. They even sent out the owner, Jacob, for the job and we were particularly impressed with his professionalism.

We had new ceiling fans with lights installed into our home. Some of the rooms did not have a ceiling fan, and the existing fans were switched out and had new fans were put in. One of the fans is to an outdoor patio, the rest of the fans were in the bedrooms and living room. Chris, responded to my call and was able to give me an estimate quickly over the phone, and scheduled the job. I appreciate this because it takes out the guess work in how much the job will cost. Jeff, installed all of the fans. He was helpful, a great worker, and explained the details of the job clearly. Jeff called me when we was wrapping up the job too, this was very helpful! Clear communication all the way through. I called Jeff after the job was finished to ask some questions about the fan remotes. Jeff answered my questions, explained everything clearly, and said if I had any more questions to please call. Mike and Ryan replaced several outdoor lighting fixtures around my home. They did a great job communicating when there were some scheduling challenges. They were professional and went the extra mile to make sure all the old fixtures & parts and the packaging from the new fixtures were cleaned up and gathered neatly in one place for disposal. And they checked in with me when they were done to walk around to every light to make sure everything worked and looked as it should. This is my 2nd time using Jacob the Electrician and both experiences were excellent.

My old electrician moved out of town and I’d been struggling to find a new company I could work with regularly on a reasonable timeline and budget. Then I had an urgent safety hazard come up on a property. They scheduled Mike to come out ASAP and he did a great job fixing and explaining the problem, as well as patiently checking out several other issues. Happy to say I’ve found my new electrician!

I just recently July 28,2022 had drainage installed in my crawl space. Jacob The Electrician (CHARLES & DAVID) came out and installed the electrical outlits for the triple sump pump !! They found a way to run the wires so they would not show and did an OUTSTANDING JOB!!!!! I was so pleased! They also repaired canned lighting in my kitchen that had been displaced and pushed down from an object falling in my attic. They went into the attic and solved the problem immediately ( which I have been working on and trying to fix myself for days)!
They also looked at a ceiling fan light that had not been working for awhile and determined the problem.
JUST LOVED LOVED CHARLES AND DAVID!!!! They went beyond the call of duty for me and I will always be so very grateful!! Thank u So much !! Both of you !!

I have used Jacob twice and each time they arrived on time and were completely professional. They worked with us to find the least disruptive ways to pull wires through the walls and assembled and installed our lights and ceiling fan. Very reasonable pricing. Jacob the Electrician has an incredible team of pros. We had them install lighting, surround sound wiring, ethernet, and a few new outlets. They were prompt, thorough, and made sure the job was done right. Mike was our team lead and he provided excellent communication throughout the process. Jacob's work was great from start to finish. He responded quickly minutes after I first contacted him and was even willing to come out the same day. Jacob the Electrician (JTE) did great work on our addition and garage, and I'm especially thrilled about the solar panel installation they did for us. I felt well informed during the decision making process and am very pleased with the results.

Jacob went WAY out of his way to help me with a problem with my garage door opener. He walked me through various steps to eliminate what WASN'T the problem. Even though I am far out of his service area, he was still willing to come to my house and investigate the issue. Mike and Ryan installed a transfer switch and several outdoor outlets for my home. They were friendly and went above and beyond even asked me for a small vacume so they could clean some sheetrock scrapings on my speaker. They offered some advice on using the transfer switch and made sure everything was in working order. Relocating AC units and one was completely dead. Got an estimate for the electrical part of the work from Chris and he was able to fit me into the schedule within a week. Almost every other contractor i called couldnt get me in for atleast a few weeks out.Charles showed up on time listened to what I was wanting done, coordinated with the AC guys and got it done quickly. I have a few more projects coming up and I will definitely be giving them a call.

I had light fixture issue in my 20' ceiling and I called Jacob the Electrician. They were able to come out the very next day. When scheduling the appointment, they were able to provide me the name of the serviceman, and a rough estimate of cost, which was very helpful.

Mike and Josh arrived and they were professional, polite, respectful and the quality of their work was evident. I will be using Jacob the Electrician again in the near future.

Sean helped me out tremendously with quick replies and follow-up. Ryan and Tyler came out to my home and were efficient and courteous. I had a small glitch and Sean came out to fix the issue. He went above and beyond and helped me switch out a unit.
I would use them again and have referred them to friends.

This was my third time using this company, and I had a very positive experience each time. Jacob was punctual and polite. He thoroughly troubleshot a lighting circuit that lost power in my 1920s home. He took care to explain any/all work before conducting it, and he cleaned up before he left. The price was reasonable, and I’ll certainly be using them again for any future repairs/installations.

I looked around for days for electricians outside and inside the Nashville area and Jacob the Electrician came up with great reviews. Like any other electrician right now, book ahead of time and try to book two days in a row if you have multiple projects for the technician otherwise you’ll have reschedule for a different day for the remaining projects not finished on day one. Even though if Mike our technician had to come back for a job he started and couldn’t finish that day, he made sure to come back the next morning early to finish said project. These guys are very competitive with their prices and affordable. I was very happy with the results and I think you guys would be to.

Chris did an EXCELLENT job repairing an outlet/light switch on our back deck and installing a brand-new doorbell/camera for the front. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional and worked diligently until the problem was solved and the job was complete. He was also super friendly and we enjoyed getting to know him! These guys are amazing and I will totally use them again for any electrical need. I had called other companies after a Google search and never got anyone. Found these guys using Yelp and they replied in less then an hour. I told them I was looking to add outlets to my garage and in an expedited manner. They had me on the schedule asap. When I woke up on Saturday morning, I had no internet. We quickly identified the GFI plug in the garage that powers the lights and other outlets was bad. After getting a new one, installing, not working and reinstalling we finally called Sean at 'Jacob The Electrician'. While Sean was VERY willing to adjust his schedule to make the trip, he suggested we attempt a couple of things. After makeing a change Sean suggested...we had lights and internet!
What I want to add is this......I work in the commercial development arena in Nashville and we build BIG buildings. I have inteacted with all kinds of skilled tradesmen. Sean was professional, helpful, just plain kind. He knew EXACTLY what the problem was and offered his expertise. This should be the norm, but it has become the exception, but to Sean, he didn't hesitate to just help. He didn't think twice. I want to reiterate he offered to rearrange things to make it over. I will use/recommend this company all day, every day. Nothing short of spectacular customer service. Alot of companies should take lessons from Sean. 5 stars isn't even close to what was earned and deserved.

I had probably 28 electrical contractors come to my house to try to fix a circuit that wasn’t working and none of them could figure it out. These boys from Jacob the electrician came out and fixed the problem in 10 minutes and only charged me the service rate. Should be everyone’s first call when they need electric work done.

I had Mike and Jeff install 2 new light fixtures and a dimmer switch and they were kind, efficient, moved my old fixtures to my attic and helped me get rid of the packaging materials. Great experience with Dillon & Alex. They replaced some ceiling fans and light fixtures and went above and beyond to troubleshoot some bad wiring from a previous remodel. They were very friendly, knowledgeable, and did a great job. This was my first time using this company and they got back to me very quickly when I put in a request for service and worked with me when I needed to reschedule the appointment.

I have used Jacob's company a few times now, & am always impressed by their knowledge, good work, & problem solving skills. Shawn/Sean was the electrician that was dispatched today about 3 different issues, & he provided expertise & competitive price quotes for all three. Be aware that electricians are in high demand here in Nashville, so sometimes pre-job consultations can be delayed or moved up, depending on the job or appointment ahead of you.

I previously worked with another electrician who ended up being completely unprofessional. I found Jacob the Electrician on Facebook and gave them a call. Two days later Chris and Scott showed up.
