Last week, I called on Thursday and again yesterday (Monday). Each time I left a voicemail briefly describing my electrical problem and left my phone number. The phone was not answered during business hours. I did not hear back from this business. I don't know if they are on vacation, ill or too busy.

I have had Rocky out to my house several times for various reasons and he has always been professional and courteous. The communication pre and post appointment is spot on and sets him apart from any other electrician I've ever worked with. I will use him for ALL electrical needs and couldn't recommend more that others do the same.

The entire team at Energy Lighting Services has been a pleasure to work with! They have provided great service, excellent communication and have done exactly what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. We would recommend them to anyone!

I bought two dimmers to be attached to my existing light switches. I called Bates Electric to do this job, and was told they charge $125 as a fee just to come out to my house. They also advertise a 10% discount off that fee on their website, which I said I would like to have. They told me that after that fee, the charge is by the hour.

The first time they were supposed to come to my house they cancelled saying the technician was not available. They arrived a day later and the technician installed my dimmers, which consisted of unscrewing the plates, screwing in the switches I had bought with the dimmers, and screwing the plate back in. The tech was in my house for for literally fifteen minutes, from noon to 12:15 pm.

I was charged the full $125, without the 10% discount for the initial trip. I was also charged an additional hour of labor at $125, for literally fifteen minutes of work.

So the hourly labor rate I was paying was essentially $500/hour.

I called them and was put on hold and they never came back on the line. When I called again, they told me the person that issued the $12.50 discount was not in that day and I would have to wait. They also stated that the $125 hour labor rate is in place no matter how little time you use. They will not credit me for the blatant overcharge.

I would never recommend this company to anyone.

So I paid $250 dollars for fifteen minutes of work, using my own electrical supplies. Would never use this company again. Beware of what they tell you. And realize they will evade any restitution for overcharging.

I have phoned Gary twice in the last couple of years, and both times he walked me through my minor problem over the phone! He is so helpful and cordial that I will absolutely call him first with any electrical issues and would welcome him into my home to perform any needed repairs. This man knows his profession, he is an excellent communicator, and very honest. Highly recommended!

Had bad electrical issue and called they had service truck out to me in 1 hour. Diagnosed problem and fixed very reasonable. Friendly staff. Will do business with again.

Job well done by Dario and his parnter at Mr Electric! Found th via Thumbtack app recommendation and they definitely lived up to their reviews there. Being an nuclear engineer I often find myself holding contractors even outside of work to impossible expectation but these guys did everything I wanted, exactly how I wanted, and most importantly when I needed. Would definitely use again. Extremely professional team especially for how they showed up with the disposable shoe covers and a rug so they don't dirty your floor!

Review update: Apparently this company thrives at the expense of its hard working employees... Review holds true for employee and his helper but not the company.
