We recently completed a full tear-out kitchen and master bath replacement with Homework Remodels in our mid-century home (built 1957). It was the second major project on which we engaged Steve Shinn and company. The first was about ten years ago for an addition to our home that added an office/bedroom, laundry room, garage extension, new roof, painting and changes to front and rear patios.

Doing such an extensive project that involved all trades gave us the opportunity to really get to know Steve, the quality of work from his team, and the way he runs his business. Needless to say, we were very satisfied and had no hesitation calling Homework Remodels for this latest project.

We were very pleased to see that Steve was not only still in business following the recession that clobbered so many local companies, but actually had grown his business over that time. Knowing that Steve takes a long-term approach to managing his business, and having seen his dedication to customer satisfaction, we were not surprised to see that Homework Remodels flourished. We had uncertainties about other contracting firms, so we went with the one we knew and with whom we already had a good experience. We had confidence in Homework Remodels, so it was a pretty easy decision.

One of the changes we found, that was of great value to us, is that Steve now had an in-house designer, Sheila, whose experience and expertise was obvious from our first meeting. It made tackling such a large project a much more comfortable experience. Sheila provided a lot of information on materials, fixtures, and design, and told us where to find more on our own.

The Homework team provided guidance every step of the way and did a great job. I would recommend them for their quality of work and great customer service.

I have used this company twice now for roof repair.

Ken and his team did an INCREDIBLE job. They were so efficient, respectful and great to work with. Ken is an excellent communicator and the project was seamless. We had our entire home tiled, wall replaires/painted, an additional room added to our kitchen, partial bath remodel and a total kitchen remodel. Our home looks better than we expected and we cannot say enough positive things about Acuity. We hope to work with Ken and his crew again in the near future.

They do such amazing work! My shower head broke several months after install and they came over no problem and replaced it!

Jeremy the Handyman reinvented the industry standard. They do it by establishing trust with me as a client. A promise is made and it's kept until the job is finished. I continue to use their service from everything including painting, fan installation, and as of late my bedroom remodel. The skills needed to repair and fix my house problems, I do not possess. Everyone is qualified but the best part...happy go lucky attitude. So refreshing in the world today. House fixes or repairs the problem? I'm in the east valley between Scottsdale and Gilbert, AZ but I'm sure glad to find Jeremy the Handyman, his wife in the office works a crazy filled schedule constantly so thanks to her!

Matador Construction help me achieve the backyard paradise that i was looking and dreaming for. their attention to detail and DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME attitude is amazing. they truly care about the workmanship that they put into their jobs. with recently having a pool installed the work crew in comparison was night and day! Matador cleaned up before leaving the job site EVERY DAY! they took extra care to not make a mess across the newly installed turf as well. with how i saw each crewmember working i know i had found a long term contractor for all of our future projects, the communication is 100% anytime there was a delay I got a call before I had to wonder where the work was at. with everything so up in the air with COVID it is a breath of fresh air to know that communication on project timeline and material was always at top of mind with Matador construction. The preferred insurance vendor wasn’t a match, so I sought out dozens of contractors, interviewing each one, digging in deeper as I had an entire home water loss and extensive work to be completed.

Jodi was the first voice of Bethom and was excellent. Their project manager/superintendent CJ Castro was on site within hours, professional, detailed, and assured me his estimate would be inclusive of all damages. I requested referrals to review Bethom’s prior work, and Jodi eagerly provided. I called EVERY SINGLE referral, sometimes multiple times to make a determination, asking several questions. All referrals had valuable input and realistically provided areas of opportunity for Bethom. Each referral spoke highly of Bethom and if they had to do it again, stated they would hire Bethom again, and many have used Bethom for additional projects.

My home is 65-70% complete and I’m ecstatic to see the final touches. For now, hands down I’d recommend Bethom for residential and commercial. Their project manager works hard and goes to bat for his clientele. CJ is knowledgeable, responsive, transparent, and involved in the process. He keeps you in the loop as often as you prefer. Any delays were outside Bethom’s control.

Shannon and his company provided a build out of a 2400 square foot office condominium investment property I purchased. Having never done anything like this before, Shannon and his team were patient and helpful with every aspect of the design and buildout. we now have a tenant who loved the building and signed a 5 year lease.

Andrew was awesome. He had great ideas that made our bathrooms turn our way better than expected. He paid close attention to detail and we’re so happy with the finished product!

Dale and his crew were professional and courteous removing and demolishing old walls, installing new electrical and drywall to our old, outdated property. We would highly recommend!

We recently moved in to our house, and one of the first items on our list was to replace two picture windows with windows that open. When the glass company was replacing the second of the windows, they found mold and rot in the wall. A local religious organization I’m in maintains a list of recommended contractors. AM/PM was on the list, and when I googled them, I was astounded to see that a contractor got such good reviews. I booked them immediately - and I’m here to add one more. They’ve been communicative, responding immediately over email, and have done excellent, precise work. When they fell behind on the timeline because one of their workers didn’t come in one day, they offered to work over the weekend to make it up. Our project lead even offered to drive over and show me tile samples because I wasn’t understanding the type that was needed for the shower floor. Who does that? They also worked seamlessly with our homeowners insurance company. I’m still in awe that this has been such a smooth experience. I recommend them without reservation.

Best cleaning service I have ever experienced. I was very happy with the detail they put on cleaning my home, every thing I wanted cleaned was cleaned beyond my expectations. If your needing cleaning service done and at a great price this is the place.

This man should not be building houses or in the construction business period.
Where to start, at the beginning when we got our plans approved, my wife and I had asked for a copy (which I received 11 months later). Several instances we would meet/talk about things to happen to/for the house. He never took notes and always forgot things. We were the ones to initiate anything going on. Paint colors, counter tops etc. Whenever we would schedule appointments he was either late, just forgot or didn’t show. Simple instructions were not followed on several occasions I had complained to him I did not like the language barrier between the people working on the house and ourselves. I was asking for one thing and getting another. e.g.(gas line was put in after the dry wall was done, laundry room sink was forgot about until after paint was done, no back yard light, water line issues, the countertop was ordered without all the measurements for cut outs, water heater closet wasn’t taped or mudded until after paint).
We watched as our house sat with nothing being done for three months straight. He gave us a move in date of mid-Oct, then Nov 2nd and finally Nov 20th. He had to pay rent for a month which should have been two months at the rental house I was at, due to procrastination. We had a 1 year loss of use on our insurance policy and he used every bit of it, and then some.
For the next week we still had stuff being done. He said let me get my guys to do it, his guys are the one that took 8 hours to install a microwave oven and still had to call someone in to build a simple soffit for the oven/microwave vent. Or the landscaping crew that destroyed our exotic vine not once but twice. Landscaping isn’t or wasn’t part of his contract. What was part of the contract was a port-a-john which was not put in until after I complained about picking up human feces, left by his workers on my property. He likes to use unskilled & unlicensed workers so he can save the money. Most of the work done at my house happened on the weekends. There wasn’t one aspect of the construction process that wasn’t screwed up, except roofing & demolition. Framing was warped (at least that what the other drywall company said after an inspection) plumbing , gas, framing, drywall, electrical
Or we were being lied to on more than one occasion

Eric and Cameron did an amazing and quick job with our water damage problems we had in our condo from the upstairs unit.
