Danny and his team were great to work with. They guided us through the entire process of the remodel. They had samples of the material we could look at and made a design drawing of what the kitchen would look like when they were finished. Every day during the remodel they completely cleaned up so there wasn't tools or debris laying around. Every wishlist item we had, they were able to accomplish. We now have a pantry, way more cabinet space, higher ceilings, better lighting, an island for the sink, and a more open entry into the dining room.

We couldn't be happier. You can't go wrong with these guys.

I am 100% pleased with Graco. My neighbor and I both had our flat roofs replaced. Abraham was really helpful and honest. They also followed up quickly after the sale when we had questions. They worked with my insurance company and everything was covered without compromising the quality of my roof. Steve and his team renovated our 1950s Arcadia Lite home this summer. We met with nearly 10 contractors to get quotes and Steve's pricing and schedule were in line with or better than most but we went with Steve based on the comfort level we had with him after our first meeting. Steve asks all the right questions and provided suggestions and inputs that made our project so much better. Our work included removing multiple load bearing walls and installing beams in our ceiling and support footers; associated drywall work and some additional drywall work; installation of all new flooring and baseboards; retexturizing of the entire great room ceiling; movement of electrical switches and outlets and installation of new recessed lighting and chandeliers/fixtures; plumbing in our laundry room; addition of a tankless water heater and the associated electrical work; removal of microwave and cabinetry and replacement with a range hood and accent backsplash in the kitchen; and the addition of an island in our kitchen. Steve was a great communicator and the only reason the project took longer and cost more than originally quoted was because of work scope we added. In fact, Steve offset some of that increased cost with cost reductions in other areas. We couldn't be happier with the results and when we complete additional renovations over time in our home we will contact Sun Country Renovations without question.

Robert from West Haven Builders removed a wall, popcorn ceiling and moved electrical outlet/light. He always responded quickly. His quote came in at a competitive price. What I really appreciated was he kept me informed and updated, was on time. He also always kept the work area cleaned and cleaned up when finished. I will definitely use West Haven Builders again. Easy to communicate and very empathetic to the remodel. They not only managed my issues with bad weather and a whole load of old bathroom issues, but was open to working through the issues with patience and grace. I was a little pessimistic regarding this type of walk-in shower remodel with my older home - but found true artists of their skill. I'm not easily impressed but this time… Absolutely!! Trevor is one of the nicest contractors I’ve worked with. He is very knowledgeable in just about everything and will do his due diligence if he isn’t familiar with something. He is very honest and very competitive with pricing. I would highly recommend him for any project you have in mind.

I hope my review will steer you away from pursuing business with Handy Connection. We initially reached out to Elizabeth Evans based on many of the reviews seen below, but our family has had a significantly different experience that we wanted to share.

Elizabeth came out to our home for an estimate for some electrical work. She explained to us that she typically prices out the work two ways, one with an hourly rate and another with a per item cost. Her ploy is to list two prices, but you will end up paying the higher price anyway.

They grossly overestimate their ability to perform the work they agreed upon. While a single fan and switch was added to my project, the initial timeframe to complete the work went from 4 hours to 5 separate visits to home. This is due to multiple damages that were created while attempting to complete the project. Between visits she left us with holes in our home both inside and out. Even more concerning is that I had to plead with her to come back between visits to finish the job, but she was reluctant per her own accord based on late-night drinking.

We payed for 2 skilled electricians to perform the work, but Elizabeth Evans showed up with her office secretary who per own admission it was her first time on a job site.

Her attempt to repair the damages that were created were incredibly poor. I had enough of her craftsmanship and did not wish for her to perform any additional work on our home. We asked her to not return.

Subsequently, I received a bill for an amount that was never agreed to. She never provided written change orders for pricing. The predatory billing is incredibly unethical.

I offered to pay the original amount and pay someone else to complete the work that they were incapable of satisfactorily completing. They refused and threatened to place a lien on our home over a difference of a couple hundred dollars. Complaints have been filled with the. BBB and ROC.

Trust me, there are better electricians out there. I urge you to please avoid using Elizabeth Evans, save yourself headaches, time, and endless frustration.

1) I NEVER REQUESTED TO HAVE TWO PRICING OPTIONS, THIS WAS OFFERED TO ME.
2) I ADDED A FAN AND SWITCH --> THIS EQUATED INTO 5 ADDITIONAL VISITS TO COMPLETE THE JOB.
3) WORK THAT WAS ON THE ORIGINAL INVOICE WE ELECTED TO NOT PERFORM (I.E. INSTALLING CAMERAS), YET WE ENDED UP WITH A SIGNIFICANTLY LARGER BILL TO ADD A SINGLE FAN AND SWTICH.
4) THE ADDITIONAL PRICING WAS NEVER DISCUSSED.
5) I NEVER THREATENED TO BLAST YOU, NOT SURE WHAT THAT EVEN MEANS. I DO WANT TO WARN PROSPECTIVE CLIENTS.
6) I'VE OFFERED TO PAY THE ORIGINAL INVOICE FOR THE WORK PLUS THE FAN, NOT YOUR BAIT AND SWITCH PRICING WITH 2X THE LABOR COSTS. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH OTHER COMPANY'S ESTIMATES, JUST YOUR OWN.

When Republic West remodeled my master bathroom, I was spoiled but did not fully appreciate it until I employed a landscape contractor to remodel my outside patios. The latter never gave a specific schedule or followed the original timeline, dragging a two-week job into five weeks. So, when I decided to remodel my kitchen, laundry and second bathroom all at once, I was eager to select Republic West again. I even requested the same team of designers, project manager and sub-contractors. Further, I trusted them so much that I was deliberately out of town for the first two weeks to avoid the demo process.

Steve’s attention to detail in project design meant that as the cabinets were put in place, they not only fit the space but my expectations and needs. One of the joys of renovation is including new, practical kitchen innovations. His recommendations are the highlights of my new workspace. Designer Kathy understood my overall goals and décor style, guiding my choices toward the desired aesthetic. Republic West gives full disclosure of job details and responsibilities so that clients understand the financial realities as well as the detailed specs. Those are onsite throughout the process, facilitating transparency throughout this dynamic process. Watching the project develop from concept on paper to reality was an instructive process.

Knowing that this project would disrupt my life more than a single bathroom, it was important to me to have assurance that the process would be as interactive as possible. RW gave that to me in spades. Remodeling the most essential hub of a home tests one’s ability to anticipate and problem-solve through the short term displacement of food preparation space and laundry. Before the project began, RW worked with me to set up an alternate food station to ease that challenge. They also reconnected the washer/dryer between the demo and laying of the tile. From design to the final walkthrough, Garth, the project manager, kept me informed, allowing me to anticipate decision points, and was proactive throughout the process.

All of the subcontractors were courteous and respectful of my privacy and property. Those who work for Republic West are efficient experts who are also artists. Slobo and his team laid the tile so I always had a path for entry to the house and rooms. Further, he was especially creative with the transition between the tile and wood floor, giving me the smooth, contemporary look that I wanted. When one cabinet did not meet my criteria, Steve adapted it until I got all the space and access I needed.

With any project, there are a few glitches, unforeseen delays and potential cost overruns. You have to go into renovation with specific goals in mind, and, more importantly, patience, flexibility and a generous spirit. Most of that is to help you understand the true complexity of this kind of work and to teach you to cope with your tolerance for dust, disruption of your space, and impatience to cross the finish line. Take pictures every week so you can evaluate just how much progress has been made. Enjoy the process. When you are done, have a big party to show off your new home that reflects your personality.

This was a terrible experience from start to finish. Rob was really nice but Joe did not deliver on any of Rob's promises. Subs never knew what to do and repeatedly came out with the wrong or no equipment or hardware. Shower glass had to be redone because they cut a random slit into the ponywall cap and just left it there hoping we would not notice. Nothing was ever done right the first time and when we pointed it out Joe always found a shortcut that looked terrible and only further delayed the project. The simple bathroom remodel took 8 months! I do NOT recommend!
