EHS did a good job overall. I used them as a referral from my insurance company. They started off a little bumpy, but ended well. Since the inspector could not pin point the source of the moisture, I enlisted a plumber to take a second look at the bathroom. He said the toilet was leaking because of a compromised wax ring. He asked if I wanted a restoration company to come out and figure out if there could be additional damage beyond that. Of course I said yes.

Within half hour I got a call from Bingham Restoration and Kai was at the property within the hour!

He looked around, ACTIVELY listened to my concerns, and within 5 mins of assessing the situation found a 6-8 inch crack in the shower pan of the SAME bathroom in question!

He explained the potential subfloor damage a leak could produce, the mold or mildew there could be and he encouraged me to ask the seller to cut the ceiling open to confirm the extent of the damage, since there was no visible damage to the walls.

Restoration can be expensive but now I’m well equipped to speak to the seller and have them pay for it or i can get concessions for me to get it done.

Either way I’m extremely grateful for their services and hopefully I can get the ceiling open for them to come back out to see what’s in there.
