I have to revise my review for Bingham/Murray Restoration. Although Bryan and his team (Bingham) were reliable, came quickly, set up a HEPA and dehumidifier and did the demo needed quickly, everything else came to a halt after that. Keep in mind, that at that time, all Bingham was aware their job was was going to be was to repair drywall and rebuild cabinetry in the damaged area of the kitchen. After that, other tragic plumbing issues arose and because our plumbing issue was so bad, beyond water damage in our kitchen, all of our floors and concrete had to
be cut and our bathroom demolished due to a collapsed sewer line. Never was I told by Bingham that: any other demo work that might arise or rebuild required is to be done by Bingham/Murray. Never did I agree that they were who I would want for new floors and a bath. Josh who works the restoration end (and manager of Murray) couldn’t find the time to call us—instead he sent out some guy named Ray (mind you, a full 2+ weeks after demoing my kitchen). He proceeded to ask to look at my insurance claim (and numbers—no one else had asked to see our reimbursement numbers), stated that it was “all wrong”, started measuring my entire ruined tile and bath and told ME what and how my bath would be rebuilt. Really? I don’t get to decide? He leaves, promises a full “correct” estimate for insurance and that was that. I kept trying to
follow up and each day was told: “that’s Justin’s department I’ll check with him on status”. Next day, same excuse. I made it clear to this Ray, the day he was in my home, that I had already hired another company to do my tile. When I kept getting more excuses about an estimate, I became suspicious that this company wants to write up estimates based on high prices to squeeze as much as they can from insurance (and if that didn’t work, cash from ME). All
I wanted was to get my home repaired. I have been living in a disaster area—no exaggeration. It has been a MONTH since this all began. Today, my tile guys are HERE, as promised, doing the demo. They have helped us with EVERYTHING and quickly. Today, I finally hear back from Ray via a text basically saying: “I talked to my boss Josh. If you are not going to have us do ALL the work (including tile), then we won’t work with you”. Wow. How unprofessional. However, considering how poor their communication was, how nothing seemed urgent to them, how I was “told” how my
shower would be done, and told how my paneling would be removed (never asked—TOLD) I say good riddance. What a blessing in disguise. The company doing my floors? Responsive, professional, available, and they can do it ALL. Shame on Bingham/Murray. I would NEVER recommend them.
I feel bad for Bingham & Bryan. They started off on the right foot with the demo. Too bad they are associated with Murray to do the reconstruction.
