Best Commercial Remodel Project in Phoenix AZ

My family & I suffered a house fire on March 31, 2019. As of August 28, 2020 (17 MO. POST FIRE) we have NOT been able to finalize the business relationship we started with AFW on 3/31/2019 due to their abhorrent business ethics.

I would NOT recommend this company to my worst enemy. Just for the record, this is the only time I have ever written a negative review, I don't like confrontation, & I stand firmly by everything I have written below.

AZ Fire & Water Damage Restoration INC. (AFW) have dragged the reparation of our home for months, made empty promises to complete work, provided shoddy workmanship that had to be redone various times over, & have basically attempted to charge approx. $30,000 worth of work NOT done to the home before I called them out on this, threatening legal action, in order for them them to take me seriously. Additionally their contents department has lost & damaged personal items collected from my home to clean post fire.
I feel that my family & I have been more than patient & kind with AFW, giving them dozens of chances & ridiculously ample time to finish work, but they have taken this kindness as a sign of weakness they could exploit.

During the time the company was repairing our home, they had an issue with the 2nd of 3 contractors that were hired to oversee the project. The 2nd contractor, Leonel Campas, was let go from the company sometime in January 2020, & AFW did not have the decency to let us know. Our house wasn't worked on for months & it took a negative review on Google in February 2020, in order to be assigned another contractor and obtain a meeting with the 3rd contractor, David Brady, and the general manager, Dean Hamilton, of the company to pressure them to finish a job they had been hired to do.

The 2nd contractor has become a scapegoat of sorts to which the company has continuously blamed the mishandling reparation on our home, instead of taking responsibility & trying to rectify their mistakes in a timely matter.

Even though Brady & Hamilton were very apologetic & promised to have the work on the home finalized by April 2020, we had to continually babysit them to finish the work, & we have still not been able to end this nightmare.

By the end of April 2020, the money our insurance company had allocated for our temporary housing ran out & the house was still NOT finalized. My family & I were forced to move out of the temporary housing and into a hotel, during the beginning phase of the COVID-19 global pandemic. I lost my job as a yoga teacher during the pandemic and was forced to pay for a hotel & food (since we did not have access to a kitchen), placing myself & my family in danger of contracting the novel virus & dipping into my savings for TWO weeks until the house was somewhat hospitable. Floors had not even been finalized by this time.

I requested that AFW pay for some of these hotel fees I had to incur due to their incompetence, but they outright refused to do so, or accept any kind of responsibility for the significant hardship my family & I suffered due to their negligence & terrible business ethics.

When we finally moved back into our home on May 16, 2020 there were still many things that had not been repaired yet, including NO AIR CONDITIONING on the 1st floor of our home, paint subcontracted to Marcel Painting was incomplete & poorly done, & various other big ticket items.

This is a SHORT list of specific grievances experienced with this company, but many other things have occurred. As I stated before, I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone & working with AFW has been a complete nightmare. I would advise anyone who is already dealing with this company to carefully revise line item by line item on their insurance estimate, given AFW's abhorrent business ethics.

They don't seen to know when insurance claims get approved. I met with Randy on 11/5 and had to make over 6 calls over 2 months, just just to get an update on the estimate.
I was told on 12/16 we were waiting from.state farm yet state farm approved it on 12/7!! Their response was it was state farm and sedgwicks fault .they got their check and cashed it on 12/16. This is without me even knowing the price.

Today I get a call to tell me they have to now get a new contractor to come look. When I ask why , I'm told they will need to see the types of materials they'll need. When I asked if that's in the estimate she told me they don't give the workers the estimate.
I asked how does that contractor then know the estimate to stay within? She then tells me I refused anyone to come out and hung up! I've waited patiently for over 2 months just for an estimate. my frustration, doesn't stem from having some one out to repair it. My frustration is this company doesn't seem to want to fulfill the job they've been contracted to do and paid for! I'm happy to receive a refund back to the insurance company for the work not done but I have a lack of faith that they will even refund it timely seeing as it took over 2 months just to communicate an estimate! I see by other complaints they've done this to others recently.

Professional and courteous. If have have water damage, you should give them a call.

I came home from a weekend trip and I had a ton of water flooding into my hallway from the laundry room. After talking with my insurance company they told me that I was going to need to use a water damage restoration company. They
suggested a couple companies, one of which was Square One Restoration. I spoke with Ryan and he sent his team out right away. Their customer service has been terrific, we used them for the dry out and reconstruction. Thanks for all your help!!!

In February 2017, I discovered wet walls and carpet in the walk-in closet adjacent to the travertine stone tile shower in the master bath of the house I had recently purchased. My real estate agent recommend Acuity Builders as they had performed well for a client of hers. Ken Hawk and Matthew Garrett of Acuity Builders came to the house and determined that water was going through the through the stone tile and breaching all layers of waterproofing.

Matthew and Ken worked closely with us to rebuild from the water damage. The entire shower was torn down and rebuilt with new tile. From start to finish all services from selecting new materials to installation, cost and schedule performance exceeded my expectations and I would without reservation employ and recommend their company, Acuity Builders for home construction projects.

From the moment I called Justin, I knew I was in the right hands. He arrived almost immediately and put my wife and at ease. The process was seamless with all their knowledge and skill set. We were able to continue our party and they took care of the water and mess. What a true team! By far, best job I've had overall. Dan Keen is an selfless, honest and reliable boss who has literally taken shirt(coat) off his own back for me and has done many other acts of random kindness. He looks out for allhis employees as they were family. His work is unmatchable on all levels at a reasonable cost.

I have worked with Pamela Godsil- Business Development Manager at Blusky Restoration for a couple of years now and I am very impressed with this company‘s professionalism and relationships within the Phoenix metropolitan area. They are very reputable and highly regarded for restoration services, I would feel very comfortable referring any professional establishment to them for restoration services.

Looking for residential or commercial work to be done? Look no further! Bethom Contracting is worth it!

The preferred insurance vendor wasn’t a match, so I sought out dozens of contractors, interviewing each one, digging in deeper as I had an entire home water loss and extensive work to be completed.

Jodi was the first voice of Bethom and was excellent. Their project manager/superintendent CJ Castro was on site within hours, professional, detailed, and assured me his estimate would be inclusive of all damages. I requested referrals to review Bethom’s prior work, and Jodi eagerly provided. I called EVERY SINGLE referral, sometimes multiple times to make a determination, asking several questions. All referrals had valuable input and realistically provided areas of opportunity for Bethom. Each referral spoke highly of Bethom and if they had to do it again, stated they would hire Bethom again, and many have used Bethom for additional projects.

My home is 65-70% complete and I’m ecstatic to see the final touches. For now, hands down I’d recommend Bethom for residential and commercial. Their project manager works hard and goes to bat for his clientele. CJ is knowledgeable, responsive, transparent, and involved in the process. He keeps you in the loop as often as you prefer. Any delays were outside Bethom’s control.

Current rating 4.7 star and on their way to a 5 star. Give Bethom a call and make sure to snag CJ as he is the best!

I have used RHQ for years. Very fast response time, knowledgeable staff, and personal involvement from Business Development staff and Account Managers. Sergei the owner is extremely well-versed in the technical nuances of this field and always available when needed.

Horrible customer service left trash in my yard the mitigation “manager” Tyson is very unprofessional would not recommend this company to anyone you should definitely look for someone who knows what they’re doing

They were very responsive and explained every step along the way. They completed the work thoroughly and quickly. I would highly recommend them!

As a Remodeling contractor I run into lots of mold during demo, my next call is immediately to Thomas Restoration, they are there extremely fast, take care of the issue and communicate the entire time. Couldn’t ask for better service.

Here's my short but heartfelt 5-star review of the Envision3 team. We have had absolutely solid, professional treatment by Jason and his crew. Testing process was very rigorous, as our issue was very difficult to locate as it is a newer, and a very clean and neat home. Jason had his mate come out to do a second test after hours (8 to 9 pm) as the issue was aggravating by night.
Alas, we have been trying to locate the mold problem in our walls for over two years (!!!) and Jason did it! Many tests were included in the quote, and the Envision3 team was definitely not stingy if more tests needed to run on top as it appeared. The wide array of measurement equipment was used, so they are very well equipped indeed.
All in all, kudos!
No photos as we haven't opened up the walls yet, but Jason has lined us up for the mitigation as well. Super. Highly recommended.
