Septic tank pumping. Add ons and shady business practices. I agree with some of the comments here questioning the validity of the positive reviews - at least based on our experience. The person taking our phone appointment explained prices for 1,000 gallon and for 1,500 gallon tanks. We had ALWAYS paid the 1,000 gallon price with other companies so we expected our tank was 1,000 gallons. The service guy who showed up was Sako. The tank opening is precisely 31’ to the curb. The first “add on” Saki charged was adding a 35’ hose to the 50’ house that comes with the service. It was bewildering how it was necessary to use an 85’ hose to reach a tank 31’ away. Next to our surprise he claimed we had a 1,500 gallon tank and charged us a rate that was $200 more for a total of $625.00!!! The highest we had ever paid before over 20 years was $375!

When asked how he measured 1,500 gallons he said he had a bubble measure on his tank. But that was after he pumped out the tank. He did not show us the level before he started pumping so there was no way to verify. He had been to other location(s) before our house in the afternoon. In short, there was no way to verify what he was saying.

When I complained to the company I was told they would remove the extra house charge. That was a no brainer considering it was easily proven not to have been needed. They refused to budge on the 1,500 gallon price based on the bubble level excuse. When I explained that the bubble level was nonsense in light of Sako not showing us the bubble level before he started. I was told that was a good idea and they would ask Sako to do that with future customers.

Finally, Sako said there were solids at the bottom of the tank that he could remove for an extra $1,900. Talk about “ups” and “extras”. Felt like a total scam.

Bottom line is we will never use this company again and strongly advise others not to use them as well.

Technician was efficient, professional and great at explaining the problem and how they would attempt to solve it.

Just had my yearly maintenance done on my furnace, as usual they did a wonderful job. They were on time, friendly, neat & very helpful. There's no one else I'd call for my furnace needs!

I was directed to this company from socalgas for my water heater issue. Got diagnosed and told for pilot assembly and gas controller issue. I am not an expert so I had to go by the guys who are claiming ‘experts’ themselves. I was given the estimate of $525 to fix the issue and the technician said it would be an hour work job. Since it was an emergency, I even paid the express shipping fee to order the parts.

For the estimate I was given compared to the time required to fix totally did match for me so I had a handyman I know to come and look at it. He diagnosd for gas connect issue and fixed it in 10 minutes without replacing any parts and all the complicated work process.

I called the company again spoke to the manager but they only went by the manual and gave the estimate based on their rates and blah blah. They could have been right and how I resolved my issue could be only temporary, but, if this company/technician really concerned about my issue he could had done the same thing and fix ‘temporarily’ since we had been asserting the issue is emergent since the issue is at my business rather than just giving me the $525 repair estimate cost in the beginning. In results, I am still waiting for the parts that I didn’t even get to see those yet that I paid for express and paid diagnosis did not help me at all.

Be aware when you deal with the company.

Carl Shields is a crook and a liar lied about everything took thousands of dollars and didn't do any work if anyone knows where they bank please post it .I need to go claim my money they won't tell me where they deposited my unendourced insurance check won't reply to my calls or cooperate in any way does any one know where they bank ?

Great people to work with, called them up and had them service my house, note to self never flush baby wipes down the toilet :( called everyone and they were busy all drains squeezed me in at the last possible second and were very nice!!!

Our family called Clean Out King’s (COK) twice and the second time we requested Mr. Bobby Tieu.
The first time It was a rookie descaling question and the visit was gratis because the work was done but We simply needed reassurance because water damage can an expensive repair.
Our hot water stopped working and flowing about six months later. This time we called Clean Out King and requested Mr.Tieu because he was punctual, came PPE prepared (as we have family at high risk for Covid), donned shoe covers after entering our home, and had his tool belt/bag ready to work. Mr. Tieu took one look at our Rinnai tankless water heater and stated he couldn’t physically touch our Rinnai tankless water heater because he/his company was not Rinnai certified thus VOIDING our warranty. He instructed us to call Rinnai Corporate HQ and have them give options of certified Rinnai tankless water plumbers.
Mr. Tieu is a PROFESSIONAL and his iINTEGRITY is appreciated!
