11 k to rip and replace a rooftop swamp cooler. Went to HD bought it for $600, slid it up a ladder and had it installed in 3 hours myself.The quote was outrageous, and excuses of limited labour doesn't justify that quote.At some point, if they leverage the lack of labor excuse they need to just not quote specific jobs. Stick to the AC Recharge business and be done with it as that's the easiest and most lucrative job out there, hence the deceptive high ratings on Google.A/C recharge maybe, anything else look around.
