We had a great experience with Golden West Plumbing! They really saved the day. About 2 weeks before our wedding we got a minor back up from our sewer line. Another company came out and cleared the block and it worked for about a week. They came back and scoped the line and found a dip in the line going into the sewer. There were also holes in the line and root intrusion.We were really in a bind. Our wedding was less than a week away and we had set up a BBQ at our home the day after for our family and out-of-town guests. There was no way we could have 30-40 people at our home with the sewer line problem.We didn't get a good feel from the original company so called Golden West due to a referral from a neighbor. Ben came out and ran a scope and determined the entire line from the middle of our front yard to the main sewer line in the other side of the street needed to be replaced. He was very professional, low pressure and inspired confidence. He assured us they would have the repair completed in time for our wedding guests visit.We approved the repair. Golden West got the necessary permits and had the utilities marked. The next day work began.The dig crew came out and were very neat, professional and organized. They kept us updated and did not do anywhere near the damage the first company planned. Our sidewalk and retaining wall didn't need to be removed making the job much less messy and damaging. After repairs the county inspector came and passed the work performed. The holes in the front yard and street were filled in. Because of the care given during the repair we were surprised at how neat things were when they were done. The yard looked surprisingly good given the extensive work performed. The dig crew did an excellent job cleaning the work site. They cleaned the front yard, the sidewalk, driveway and street.Our BBQ went great and we had piece of mind that the repair was done properly. We wholeheartedly recommend Golden West Plumbing and will use them again in the future. Great job team!

Prompt, easy to work with, explains everything really well so I knew what was fixed and what to keep an eye on in the future. Offered a range of options for the project, allowing us to make the best choice for our family and budget.Work looks great, and they've been very responsive with follow up questions after the install was completed.Chris did great work, and I'd highly recommend him.

I had Max and Edgar come out to my house to turn on my swamp cooler and have to say the service was superb! They communicated everything they were going to do during their visit and took pictures of my existing swamp cooler to show me things that needed to get fixed + things to watch for in the future. The price was fair for the services they provided and I’ll definitely be using this service again in the future. Lou and his crew were amazing. I called last week about the plumbing backing up. Being a first time home owner I called my dad and tried explaining to him about the plumbing. Lou took the time and talk to my dad to give a better explanation. When he returned back he was very prompt on getting his crew out to fix the plumbing. After digging they found the problem was bigger than expected. Lou and his crew came back out the next day. Mario, Alex and Edgar were professional, very polite and did a great job cleaning up. I run a small business from my house. I appreciate how quick they were,even though it took all day. It didn't interfere with my business. Lou and his crew left my walk away safe and clear for my clients. I will definitely recommend them to any of my clients, family and friends.

A/C in my rental not working. Golden West had next day appointments but would not schedule a time - had to be available all day waiting for their call. Technician had excellent communication and diagnostic skills. However, the company's pricing is outrageous. The technician discounted my bill and still charged over $400 to replace a $10 fuse - probably took him 5 minutes. According to the technician someone in their office establishes pricing for specific services.

Taking one star away because the pricing seems unreasonable. $450 for 10 minutes to install a thermostat that I provided? I think that’s a little ridiculous. And $250 to replace a swamp cooler belt that costs $9 and takes 5 minutes to install?The reason I still give it 4 stars is because the technician, Riley, did a great job. Very nice guy, knowledgeable, respectful, and worked through our very strange electrical wiring to solve the problem without charging me even more than he could have. 5 stars for Riley.Overall, they got the job done and even came out on the weekend on short notice which is much appreciated, just the pricing that needs to be looked at. If it was more reasonable I think I would have gotten a few more services done that need resolving.

Golden West has always been reliable and excellent at what they do. Riley & Jose made a visit today to fix a couple of minor issues we were having with our swamp cooler. They weren’t just punctual, they were 30 minutes early (which is huge on a 90 degree day when your swamp cooler is on the fritz) and they managed to fix both issues in under 10 minutes. Best of all, repairs were free since we are members of their VIP program. Thank you, Golden West!

Second time using plumbing services with Golden West. We signed up with the VIP program during the first service with Josh. Josh did a great job with our downstairs shower. He had to replace the entire faucet system. It gave my Mother-in-Law access to her own bathroom for the first time since we moved in. Really happy we signed up for the VIP program, besides the lack of a service call charge, they dropped emergency calls to $100. We had a pipe start pouring water into our family room and also noticed the backyard connection for our hose had a leak. Joseph came out and found the leak in the family room, which was connected to the front yard hose. He only had to make one cut to access and fix it. Joseph was able to replace the busted pipe for the backyard connection. We have received great service, reasonable prices and fast response. I’d recommend their services.

Sewer work was extensive and messy but I was rushed and in hindsight might have sourced another team- esp regarding neighbors experiences with other companies.However expensive, Golden West has taken care of the work promptly and professionally. Carlos is excellent to work with he is skilled, professional and efficient. I always get a notification by phone when they will be arriving so I don’t have to wait around all day.They will stay until they are done and I am satisfied.

We've been using Golden West for the past several years and they've always been super accommodating and professional. They saved us BIG bucks awhile back as we were about to get a sump pump installed and one of their technicians (I'm so sorry I forgot his name!) while at our house for completely unrelated work, told us we just needed to extend our down spout out front and sure enough, that fixed the problem with water leaking into our basement.Golden West installed a new swamp cooler and furnace for us as well. Want to give a big thanks to Anthony and his crew for doing such a great job with those!And just recently, Golden West came out to turn our swamp cooler on and just want to thank Riley and Max personally for their quick work and professionalism!!Everyone had Golden West has always been really nice and responsive. Carlos & his crew installed a tankless water heater, very professional and courteous. Removed the old water heater in one day. I was very impressed. However when I went to use my bathroom sink after the new system was installed I had very low water pressure & just a trickle in the right sink? Golden West did send Angelo & his partner to see what the problem was & had it fixed in no time at no charge to me.I will definitely use them again😊Thanks Golden West for having great work ethic.

We had water coming in the basement. Called Golden West. Angelo and Edgar were here within an hour. Angelo immediately found out what the problem was. It was the sprinkler system that was leaking. Even though they don't work on sprinkler systems,Angelo showed us where the leak was coming from. Since they were here, we had them replace some galvanized pipes and they did an excellent job at a reasonable rate. Both were very professional and friendly. I will definitely use Golden West Plumbing again.

Fantastic experience! I hadn't had my AC serviced for years and it stopped working in the hottest part of the summer. Golden West was able to schedule a repair immediately, the technician was awesome - immediately diagnosed the failure, fixed it and advised on what to do in the future. Could not ask for more!

We called Golden West after hours (7 or 8 at night) during the massive rain event in Denver when our basement was filling with water. Anthony made it out within an hour from our call, when restoration companies told us they couldn't come for 3-4 days. It turned out we didn't have a plumbing problem, but Anthony troubleshot with us and came up with an improvised solution that at least bought us some time until we could fix the problem permanently. This was huge - we're still not sure how much damage we have, but Anthony stopped the bleeding so at least it didn't continue to get worse overnight and into the weekend. It is a bit pricey, but the service has always been amazing so we think it's worth the price.

We have had a VIP membership with Golden West, who does a wonderful job with each of our properties. From routine maintenance to emergency repairs, we are always super-happy with their work and customer service. Definitely a great value!

As an owner of multiple rental properties, I've gone through my fair share of plumbers. I have to say Josh with Golden West was great. On time, honest and a great worker. Plus he came out on a Saturday!

Lou and his team are absolutely fantastic. They are true professionals that take pride in their work. I’m sure there are cheaper plumbers out there but you’ll probably just end up calling Golden West later to fix their mistakes. Master plumbers aren’t cheap but they’re worth every penny. Big thank you to Lou, Joseph, and Edgar for their workmanship and timely response. They rerouted our busted kitchen drain pipe to another drain pipe in the house and moved a gas line for me. Great company. Riley came out to inspect our AC system and explained everything in terms I could understand, got our AC up and running and was kind and professional. Always an easy decision to call golden west if we have any problems cause they solve it quickly and easily.

I called a few different places to have my furnace checked out, all with good reviews. I chose Golden West because they offered the best options for our situation. Overall it was a great experience, as all the worries I had were quickly eliminated, and we got a service completed the same day they came out for the diagnosis. Carlos saved us a lot of money by doing some relatively simple repairs on our furnace instead of having to replace an entire system. He was kind, patient, timely, and knowledgable. Very professional and kept everything clean. Now we feel secure with our current system, and can plan ahead for our next major upgrade.

Wow! I learned a lot when Ben stopped by to look at my sewage. Not only is he a good plumber, he is very knowledgable about the do's and don'ts of plumbing as well as smart hacks and preventative care for homeowners. Golden West takes care of their members by offering free check ups from time to time. It will save me a bundle in the long run!

I have used this company several times for my HVAC issues so I called them immediately when my toilet started overflowing. When Ben Pitcher gave us his quote, my significant other jumped in saying he would like to get a second opinion because he thinks we can get a less expensive quote, his response was “then why did you call me what am I doing here.” Honestly Ben hurt the relationship I have built with Golden West Plumbing. He used a lot of buzz words to drive up the cost, entering my home stating “this is officially the oldest house I’ve been in,” and saying he had to remove the toilet to scope the drain. Ben we know a sewer scope can go down the shower as well, we can start with less invasive points.

Look elsewhere for a fair price. They came to my house and quoted $471 for a simple sink drain clean out. Laughable. This is double what another company charged me a year ago. I’m done with golden west.

Carlos and his coworker quickly diagnosed the problem with my evaporative cooler which was not blowing cold air into the house. They fixed the issue and from start to finish we're here for 30 minutes. I love people that know their business, have a professional and positive attitude and get the job done in a timely manner at a reasonable price. This team had all of these attributes. Golden West is a great, honest and well respected company and I would definitely use them for future projects.

I called Golden West plumbing, and they sent Jason over to work on my mom’s boiler system. He was very quick showing up and extremely nice and professional about what needed to be fixed and replaced. He came the very next morning and got the heating system all taken care of explained what he was doing and did a great job.

Anthony and a Riley provided efficient and quality service today. They arrived right on time for the estimate appointment. I had a broken circuit and they provided a few different fix options with pricing. Their prices were reasonable. They were friendly and professional!

Riley and Luis did a great job! at least i'm pretty sure they did. I'm not crawling under the house to check. So i'll take their word for it.Golden West installed my AC, Heater and new vents about a year ago. Works like a dream. I have central air now. its the best.

Be careful with this place and definitely get a second opinion! Our heat went out and their immediate suggestion was to get a new furnace because ours was 14 years old and “at the end of its life” (come to find out furnaces live 20-22 years if they’re well taken care of). Anthony quoted us 8k and up to 14k for a new high efficiency furnace. He seemed like a really nice person so it is possible he just didn’t know the actual issue and replacing seemed easier.We got a second opinion and they fixed it with a $500 part- all it needed was a new control panel and it was good as new. It’s been running seamlessly for a month now. The other contractors also said our furnace was in great shape and has another 6-8 years left.The pressure switch was going off intermittently which GW attributed to “condensate build up”. The second contractor found no build up at all and found the pressure switch was turning off because of the control panel issue. I wish I had asked for pictures or him to show me this “build up” but it didn’t get that far.Always be wary when any contractor immediately jumps to replacing your entire system! I think they kind of hinged on the fact that we were desperate because our heat was out.

Very professional install work.Made sure I was happy before job completion.Excellent clean-up and care for my floors during their work.I always had a call from the dispatcher to tell me who was coming and when they would arrive.

They are a great company and ethical. They do all our plumbing and HVAC work now. We thought we had a specific issue, but their rep was honest and told us what was actually wrong. This ended up saving us a lot of money and fixed the problem! I highly recommend them!

We had a whole house humidifier installed. Carlos did an excellent job on the install, he ran the electrical, installed the steam humidifier and he was very thorough in his explaining of the job. Very impressed with Carlos and the Golden West crew.

This review has nothing to do with the technicians, they were all great, professional, and super knowledgeable. This review is about the cost of the services. I had a leaking shower head (bad valve cartridge). It was discovered that my water pressure was too high and had to install a new pressure valve. This is not the problem, I think I paid a fair price for that part but charging me $524 to replace a shower valve cartridge, when the technicians were already here? It took less than 10 mins to swap the cartridge out and make sure it was no longer leaking. Checking with other plumbers, this should have been no more than $300. Unfortunately for me I was not in a position to have them stop and call another service to fix it. I doubt I would ever use Golden West again.

Golden West repaired several items on our Dunkirk boiler recently and did an excellent job. This is the third time we've used them for a variety of plumbing and HVAC issues and each time they really excelled in service and product. Chris V was our tech/project manager and could not have been more personable and competent. As before, after evaluating the the situation of no heat, we were provided with two options. We chose the more expensive option in that it provided several upgrades in efficiency and performance. The repairs were done within several hours...most appreciated on a very cold day with no heat. Also most appreciated were the numerous text and phone call updates sent by Barbara on tech arrival times, etc. I think I received 4 updates. In all, another great experience with Golden West.

Nice guy came to give a quote to replace tankless water heater I’ll give two stars cause the guy was nice about trying to straight rob me 10,000 to replace tankless!!! water gas lines already there wanted to change vent nothing that would have taken more then half hour these guys must charge 1000 plus for labor per hour!!! come on man is anyone dumb enough to pay 10000 for tankless swap

I have an extremely unusual solar-hybrid hydronic heating system. Chris VanMeter is one of the few technicians who has the knowledge to understand the system.He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and polite. Chris answered my questions and helped me understand the nuances of my options.While I haven't started my project yet, I will absolutely return to Golden West. We have to replace the furnace and a leaking bathroom exhaust fan and duct work in the past month, and Golden West have repaired quickly and professionally. Everyone has been prompt and friendly. No idea if their prices are more or less than anyone else, but they have done the work and passed inspections, all while doing so in a timely manner.

From scheduling to arrival, everyone I spoke to was kind and courteous. They were able to schedule me for next day service and my technician was extremely respectful of my property (wearing booties and cleaning up before project completion), informative (explaining the issue, the solution options, and basic anatomy of the shower pieces he needed to repair), and efficient. The cost of repair was reasonable and my options were explained clearly to me so I didn’t feel pressured to pick the most expensive or labor-intensive option. Gilberto is an incredibly kind and helpful technician, going above and beyond to make my shower work properly and look brand new. My expectations were exceeded and I will absolutely use GW for all future needs.

Carlos, Max and another member of the team came out to clean up a furnace that was part of a restoration project. Carlos mentioned our water heater was a bit beyond its expected lifespan. He told me about the different options and told me honestly about pros and cons. I picked an option and he said we would save some money since they were already here and could get started on it the next day. They finished the project quickly and checked on an unrelated fixture that I had a question about as well. Carlos and the other Golden West techs have been awesome. They show up on time, are very friendly and honest.

Chris and his team were amazing. Our very old furnace suddenly started leaking (a lot) and within the week Chris had been out for the consultation, gave us a variety of options, gotten the parts together, and replaced our whole system. Golden West worked around the clock and all told we were only without AC for a couple of days. The amount they were able to get done in a short period of time was truly amazing, and we were also impressed with the quality of work and Chris's thoroughness and professionalism.

Tried to way oversell us on a solution that wouldn't have even fixed the problem. I've called them a few times and determined they're not very trust worthy. These guys were out to our house twice in the last six months for a backed up drain. The first time they did a water jet clean out to remove the clog. They had decided the clog was due to years of backup and Charmin toilet paper (!?!?). The second time they came out they couldn't figure out what was causing the back ups, it was determined nothing out of the ordinary had been put down the drain, and roots weren't an issue. Their recommendation was to either do a descale (expensive, and couldn't guarantee the fix) or just replace all our cast iron pipes (extremely expensive). Being faced with two very expensive options I called another company for a second opinion. Without even telling them we had already had someone to look at the issue they said the pipes looked good and scaling wasn't an issue!

The experience of working with Barb and Chris from Golden West was exceptional. In this day and age it’s harder and harder to find good, locally owned companies that are focused on good service, reliability and integrity. That’s what we found with this team. Our furnace stopped working on the 2nd coldest day of the year. We called Golden West and they came out on a Saturday to make the repair. We had called another company the day prior and that company didn’t even suggest repairing the furnace. They suggested a full replacement plus A/C and hot water heater all for about $20K!!!Chris was a godsend. He quickly assessed that our existing furnace could be repaired and didn’t need to be replaced. We’re warm again and will always make Golden West our first call for A/C, HVAC, Furnace, etc. thanks to Barb and Chris!!!

Golden West was super responsive when our furnace decided not to work last night and it was cold (teens) overnight. It pays to a VIP service member of them (highly recommend signing up for membership) as I called this morning at 6am (after hours) and had dispatch send a technician out first thing this morning. Non-members would have to wait until business hours at 8am & members have priority in scheduling too. Carlos was was on time, covered his shoes without being asked & got promptly to work checking our furnace. Seemed to be a minor issue and everything worked within minutes of service. Highly recommend Golden West & Carlos.

Carlos and Max were awesome. They were extremely professional, on time, and got my swamp cooler up and running quickly. Communication with the main office was always fantastic, and all the staff took care of me at all times, including flexing around my schedule due to childcare issues. I truly felt like they listened to my concerns and did their best to accommodate. I signed up for the membership to manage the seasonal swamp cooler maintenance as well as any plumbing related issues I may have in this location.

The other night I was trying to relax with a bath and suddenly there was rain pouring from my living room. Called Golden West and they were able to make a same day service call. We had a great experience with Max and Manny doing a visit to inspect and charge up our aging A/C unit. They were both very professional and friendly, explained things along the way, and were great to work with. I was so concerned about finding a company that was going to be equally as professional as they were straight forward with me. It turns out this company is the best of both worlds not only was Chris extremely upfront with me he was extremely helpful in getting everything that I needed for my AC system repaired reinstalled and replaced. We just bought a house. After having a friend and a neighbor try to help me get my swamp cooler running, I called Golden West Plumbing and Heating. Barb got me scheduled. My experience with Golden West started off very rocky. My appointments kept being rescheduling and the summer heat wasn’t letting up. This was my last straw with them if I had to be rescheduled yet again. I finally received my call that Anthony and Jerry would be arriving soon. They arrive looked at my attic fan and hit me with more bad news. I needed to replace the entire motor. And boy it wasn’t cheap. Anthony provided me with necessary information to get me set up and on my way with a brand new motor. They were very professional and helpful. Thanks Anthony and Jerry.

Max was a great technician for our ac repair! Explained everything and was very professional.

Golden West technician came to my home to diagnose my steam heater that was not working. I called them because they could get to me before my regular plumber that always works on my system. I was pretty sure all I needed was a new thermocouple. Technician told me that yes, I needed a new thermocouple and another part that feeds gas to the thermocouple. He quoted me almost $5000 for the two parts and the labor! The thermocouple alone was quoted at over $1000! He also suggested that I get a seasonal check on my system that would be another charge. I knew that a thermocouple was an easy fix. I also have been told by numerous plumbers that a seasonal check that you do on steam heat systems is unnecessary. If it does not start up in the fall, call and they will fix whatever needs to be fixed. It is a fairly simple system. I paid him the fee for the consult which was $89 and told him no thanks. My usual plumber came out 3 days later and fixed the problem for $172. He replaced the thermocouple as I knew to be the cause. I wish I had my $89 back. Do not use this company. I had to choose 1 star. If I could I would give them 0 stars.

I recommend this company to anyone needing plumbing or water heating help in the Denver area. I had a leak on my water heater. The technician who came was named Josh. My home is 100 years old, so it lots of issues that come up all the time. My water heater was almost shot and my home had no pressure regulator. Josh got me a new water heater and pressure regulator installed the same day. Now I should be good to go for years. Josh was polite, knowledgeable, respectful and did a great job. Super clean install. Would recommend him to anyone. A++

I had an unusual request. I recently added solar and wanted to add a usage meter to fight the utility company and their overcharging. This meant I needed to make room in my electrical panel for the addition. Anthony was engaged and willing to talk to the solar specialist to fully understand what I needed. He also helped me trouble shoot potential other concerns. I was only looking for a quote but the service fell in my expected budget so I had the work done. Anthony was knowledgeable, polite and easy to work with. Should I need service in the future I would love to have Anthony back.

Manny and Riley are the best! Incredibly knowledgeable and patient. They were able to diagnose an issue that other contractors couldn't, and they went above and beyond to explain our swamp cooler to us and even got on the roof with my partner. Golden Heating and Plumbing is the only company we ever use for all our Heating and Plumbing needs. Their employees are always prompt, courteous and do the job right the first time. Chris VanMeter with Golden West Plumbing provided excellent customer service from our initial meeting through to the end of the project, as well as after the project had been completed (he was quick to come back to our home to answer questions we had). He is very professional and knowledgeable, and was a pleasure to work with. We needed a new A/C system (decided on a Bosch heat pump), had to have an old air handler dismantled/cut out of our attic, new air ducts installed, new line and vent installed in our laundry room, and wanted our old swamp cooler removed. Chris made the whole process simple and painless. He was onsite with his crew (who were also very professional) the entire time, and they completed our complex project in just one day. These guys are excellent! We found the company when our old company would no longer come out to service the evaporative cooler on the roof because it's 3 stories high. Golden West has been taking care of it for two years now, they do a great job, and they're very knowledgeable. Since hiring them for the evap cooler, we now also use them for all the indoor plumbing as well. They've fixed toilet floats, unclogged pipes, and cleaned and fixed a malfunctioning tankless water heater. We got on their loyalty program which has saved us boatloads of money on maintenance calls and services. I'm as happy as can be with their prompt and professional attention!

I called Golden West yesterday morning when my not even 4 year old furnace was not heating like it should. It was cycling on and off but no warm air was coming from the vents. The HVAC company I normally use was booked and couldn't make it out till Sunday. I was concerned that my furnace would not run through the night so I wanted to find someone who could come out that day just to see what could be going on. I called Golden West. They did have time and put me down for an appointment in the late afternoon as an after hours service call but called me a few hours later to say they had had some cancellations and a tech could be out in 45 min. if that would work for me. I was delighted!!Andy (along with Luis) came out and tested my furnace. Andy was very knowledgeable and answered my questions and explained what he was doing. Everything looked good and was running fine. I'd mentioned to Andy I'd had issues with the flame sensor in the past so he did check that and cleaned it, which it was pretty dirty. He made sure everything was working correctly and ran some more tests. He said that it was working fine and was not seeing any issues with anything. I am pleased to report that I did not have any issues last night with my furnace nor today. I am very pleased that Golden West was able to fit me in so I could get this resolved and ease my worry about having heat through the frigid night. I highly recommend this company!! I also appreciate this company being able to fit me in on such short notice and being able to get out sooner than expected!! Andy and Luis did a GREAT job and am very pleased with their professionalism and expertise. I am so pleased to have found an Exceptional company to call for future issues! HUGE thanks to Will who spent almost an hour trying to locate the leak in my 400 sq ft house - all that time included in the most reasonable service call fee in Denver under $40. He was eager to figure out the problem and solution and was a delight to work with.Updated to say a HUGE thank you to Josh who provided white glove service today when he came to take a look at my leaky toilet. Such a pleasure to work with, treated me with the upmost kindness and respect, and outlined four options for service - all of which made sense for me and was patient as I discussed my needs with him. I hate to leave a meh review because our technician (Carlos) was great, friendly and knowledgeable, but... We scheduled an annual tune-up for our AC because it kept tripping the circuit breaker. Carlos didn't find anything wrong with the unit and he recommended changing the AC circuit breaker switch as the next step (he noted it felt warm when he checked it). All great so far, and he offered to do the work during the same visit. Now comes the part I'm not happy about... The quote to change a single breaker switch was $650. We don't do much of our electrical work, but after watching a 6 minute YouTube video and buying a $15.98 part at Lowes, we did the job ourselves in 15 minutes. It just feels pretty dishonest to charge that much for something so simple. Nothing against Carlos since he likely doesn't set the prices, but this will probably be the last time we used Golden West.

Josh did an excellent job of detecting the problems, explaining the problems and what needed to be done.Josh also explained the time & cost before beginning the most major repair on replacing my faucets & pipe leak -replacement. Josh & his apprentice spent 7 hrs to get this job done so I could have water the next day .Josh came back 2 days later to repair something that I thought was his job . It was not his job but he spent 20-30 minutes to fix it anyway . That is beyond the call of duty . Because of my excellent experience with Josh / Golden West , I will use them again and recommend them to others .

I had Anthony out for a check on some of my electrical outlets after a water leak in my basement. Not only did he do that quickly, but while discussing some water pressure issues he was able to diagnose and fix that issue as well the same day! I would highly recommend him and Golden West for any of your plumbing/electrical needs.

Golden West was able to put me on their cancelation list so that my AC unit was able to be fixed after waiting just a day instead of over a week. The repair wasn't cheap but the work is warranteed for 2 years assuming we service the unit yearly. I paid $640 for about an hour's worth of work, but I admittedly hadn't serviced the AC since we bought our home five years ago, so I actually think I got lucky with the cost of the repair. They were professional and communicative- what more could you ask for?

We had the pleasure of having two of Golden West's pros come out to help us with a heating issue. Our heat went out over Thanksgiving, but Golden West was open the day after without sky-high day-after-a-holiday service fee, which was helpful because we had a small window to get it fixed. Andy responded first and was helpful in getting the furnace working again so we didn't freeze. We had to wait a bit for the full fix but Golden West got us on the schedule right away. Carlos came out, fixed our furnace, and explained everything in easy-to-understand language. Every single person we talked to at Golden West, from the dispatchers to the techs, were helpful, friendly, and professional.

The technician was very knowledgeable and actually corrected mistakes made by previous plumbers on our hot water piping. He took the time to thoroughly explain our options, then also explained everything he was going to do as part of the option we selected which was to stay with a conventional water heater rather than go tankless.

I had them replace 2 toilets in my bar. They have worked fantastic! And when someone broke one they helped fix it. Ben is super super friendly, and knowledgeable I def recommend him for anything plumbing related!!

I cannot put into words how grateful and happy I am that I called Golden West! I had a gas heater stop working and they came by to look at it within an hour. Then they got me a replacement heater the next day. After they installed the heater though, I decided I was extra and didn’t like the aesthetics of it. They came back and replaced it for me with one I did like!! How’s that for customer service?!! I had a harder time returning moldy wooden spoons to Amazon once. Not only did they replace it, but they were helpful and friendly the entire time. They left the house looking perfect. They even drove up to Evergreen in the snow (and into my unshoveled driveway) to make sure I got the heater I wanted. Fabian and his assistant, Chris, were great :) You have a customer for life. I contacted this company after my water heater died, they were immediately responsive and scheduled an appointment to come out and give me a quote. Compared to two other companies I considered they were much faster in general, quoted me what I consider a fair price for the water heater and services, and when they ran up against snags specific to my type of home and heater they did everything they had to and could to find a solution. The tech was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and more important than that he was upfront and honest with me about everything I asked him. They found a solution, got me the water heater and system I wanted, I got a 10-year warranty out of the deal, and they were professional enough to clean up their mess and leave my home exactly as they found it. I even had to leave at one point to go get my son and I felt no problem whatsoever leaving them in my house. Golden West installed a new AC system for us in our house that had never had one before.They were incredibly communicative and responsive through the whole process from quote to completion and incredibly easy to work with. They were also the company that was able to get us on their schedule the quickest which was a lifesaver because we hit 100 the day they finished.Andy the technician as well as his apprentice Joseph, and Manny the sheet metal wizard did a great job even though our old house presented a few roadblocks and it took a little longer than expected. Repaired my frozen over water faucet professionally and treated me like a valued customer.

Last week I had a crew of folks led by Alex Garcia change out 120 feet of water pipe from curb to house. The entire crew was courteous, professional and always let me knew what was going on. There were a few hurdles along the way but the crew kept at it into the dark and I had water back in the evening. All for the agreed upon price and the clean up and landscaping repairs were perfect. This was a very big job and I got meet many people from the owner to people bringing parts over and they were all incredibly respectful to me and each other and clearly took pride in their work and the company they worked for. So great to see!

I Rick's crew came out and did an entire sewer line repair. They were awesome! Communicated well, worked long hours, explained what they were doing, and charged a fair price (compared to the 2 other quotes I received).A few weeks later Jose came out to repair our kitchen drain. He was also extremely professional and respectful. He took extra time to explain and show me everything he was doing and answer all my questions.I was very impressed with both of their work as well as their expediency.The only thing that keeps them from getting 5 stars is the main office's ability to communicate and follow up after the work is done. It took them over 2 weeks to get me a write up of the work for insurance and it still had some things missing.I would recommend them for work you need done, but be sure to get everything in writing that you might need while they are at your house.UPDATE 2 years later: I have used them 2-3 more times and been completely impressed. I have increased my score from 4 to 5 stars. They are much better at communication and do a great job letting you know when someone is headed your way and getting invoices to you quickly.

Golden West was exceptional.I was skeptical because I found them listed #1 on Google (a paid spot which later I was told these spots require certain criteria besides just cash money, which was a comfort!).I was in a bind, life was happening big time, I usually price shop THOROUGHLY, there was a May heat-wave and our Central A/C unit had died. We needed someone ASAP.When I 1st called in the woman was great, very friendly and understanding. She told me very quickly they were booked solid that day, understandably, it was late Friday morning with all that hot sun happening. As she continued to get my info, I assume she was messaging someone on the other side and advised me they could get someone out that afternoon. I worked in a National Security call center for a decade. This all felt genuine, not like book us now or miss out. After booking the appointment, I actually thought maybe it was just a Denver service to dispatch different techs from different companies to make a commission. I couldn't have been farther from the truth.I was booked with Anthony (I'll leave last name out cuz you all are going to want to cyber stalk him after hearing how great he is). I was provided with a confirmation text for the appointment and a link to a little Anthony bio. Kinda nice when you're alone and no matter how much ju-jitsu training it's comforting to know who's coming into your home while the hubby is away.Long story trying to get shorter.... Anthony made a nightmare sitch (my whole unit needed replacement) into an actually pleasant experience. I wasn't surprised, our unit was 22 years old whooohoooooo, so finally the day had come. But delivering the news was tough for Anthony. I could tell he really gave a.... you know. He gave me options, including units, financing and warranty plans. I went totally basic level because this is not our forever home and there was no judgement or pressure to upgrade. In our eyes though.... massive upgrade, haaaa!Installation day (the very next day, a Saturday), Anthony and his fellow installer Riley were incredible. Turns out, a lot, but he walked me through everything and answered all my questions very honestly and enthusiasticly. I really appreciate him and everyone I have spoken to at this company. When your making a big ticket purchase you want to feel that your being told the truth and that your around someone who knows what they are doing which I feel describes Carlos for sure. Very nice salesman but had no interest except to upsell everything. Quoted a job for an outdoor sump pump replacement only. Small pump. Plumbing and electrical already done. I was quoted over $2700 dollars to do it! Very, very expensive. I also had them quote a few other odd jobs like a new hose bib on the back of the house. Likewise they were all quoted very expensive. I'm not looking for the cheapest but they are way out of the ball park! We have other quotes around the $600 mark which is where it should be!

Everyone buckle up, because I have to give a BIG OLD SHOUTOUT to Golden West and my boys Chris and Max!!!!! First off - I had a pressing issue with my AC system, but it's difficult to find time with my work schedule. Golden West was able to work on my time, and show up in LESS than 24 hours from my initial call.Chris and Max showed up exactly on time, and their vibe and energy was unparalleled. They were helpful, communicative, and most importantly they made it fun. It's rare you have someone come out to help with repairs and you end up having a great time getting to know them!They quickly discovered the issue, explained it to me in a way which I understood (which isn't easy haha), and clearly laid out options for next steps. There was no pushy-ness or shock factor sale, they were here to educate me and work towards a solution on my time.Ultimately I decided to move forward. and they stayed 2 extra hours to get the work done! To top it all off - I was having difficulties with my home warranty company while they were here. Chris hopped on the call with them to help get me to a resolution. Now my AC is not only working, but they were able to provide me with a 2 year warranty on the parts :)These guys rock, 10000/10 would recommend.

Golden West was dialed in from the get go. Their inbound phone staff was efficient, professional, and the only ones with availability same day. Their “emergency after hours” visit rate was $129, which wasn’t too far above other normal rates.Their follow up process from appointment set to visit was seamless and timely.Carlos showed up on time, wearing a mask, with clear direction on what he needed from me to help. He was courteous, informative, and found a solution for our broken AC unit QUICK!I appreciated that he gave a thumbs up on what we DIDN’T need, which built trust in going with what we DID need.I would have hired him for the work, but Golden West wanted far too much money for the true labor it would take to swap out a capacitor.

Beyond disappointing. Schedule a technician for Tuesday and got a call an hour before my service time that they wouldn’t be able to keep my appt. Rescheduled for Thursday. They said they would arrive before 9&11. 11 came and went and no show/no call. I called them and they said they would come between 1-3. At 2:30 they called to inform me the technician wasn’t familiar with the service needed and they would have to reschedule. Unbelievable. I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time.

Carlos and Golden West were very responsive and professional in handling an AC issue at my house today. Within 2 hours of my call, Carlos arrived, diagnosed the problem, gave me options for repair and had everything back up and running very quickly. I contacted golden west to receive a HVAC estimate for a client of mine. Let me just say this was such a seamless, easy and fluid process. I experienced a friendly morning call/reminder, followed by a punctual arrival of my technician Carlos, Instantly I was impressed by his attention to detail, thorough work and his ability to explain the steps in a way that I am now more knowledgeable and will have the ability to better explain the procedure of a furnace swap to future clients. Carlos went as far as to give me multiple options (3) and to inspect and give recommendations/ estimates on other outdated components not initially requested. If you are seeing this review, just know I too was not sure about what company’s I could trust and that would provide good service. That all changed thanks to Carlos and the ladies at the office. Lamar was my technician and was amazing! He was so professional, helpful and friendly. As a new homeowner, there are aspects of maintaining a furnace I just wasn’t aware of and I really appreciated the knowledge he shared with me so I have that awareness moving forward. We've had Andy out a couple times now and each time he has been honest, clear and exceptionally capable. He lays out the options, telling us what needs fixing as well as ways to avoid problems in the future without pressuring or talking over our heads. In addition, he tries to save us money where he can and points out the jobs we might conceivably do ourselves. This company is great. We had them out in short notice to fix our freezer when it was 100 degrees in Denver. Pricey to fix but mostly due to the parts. They fixed our ice maker within a couple hours.

Golden West was able to quickly respond to an issue with our heating boiler. Anthony was great about clearly explaining the problem and fixing it in a professional and timely manner. He even took the time to answer several of my questions so I could better understand how our boiler system works.

The fan on our furnace was running continually. The first company I called couldn't get here until late Wednesday afternoon. I called Golden West and not only could they come today, Tech Carlos was in the area and able to come hours earlier than originally scheduled. Carlos so nice and professional. Our problem turned out to be a simple stuck switch and we were only charged for the service call. We greatly appreciate his honesty and quick assessment of the issue. Golden West and Carlos are now our service providers for all things HVAC and plumbing related. Working with Carlos was such a joy and a huge relief!!

Golden West was great! I called first thing in the morning and was lucky enough to get a tech out within two hours. Our tech, Ben, was great! Our drain wasn’t draining properly and it was due to roots in our piping. He was very knowledgeable, explained the issues, cut out the roots and flushed the system. He also provided a visual inspection of our pipes to show they were draining and walked me through what he did to complete the work. This is the second time we have used Golden West and we have been very happy with the services provided by this company. - Also because we are in a pandemic I feel it’s important to note that they followed health safety guidelines.

Gilberto and his team were on time, very knowledgeable and professional. Leak detection and plumbing pipe repair was performed to meet professional standards and work was completed in a timely manner. Extra care was taken to protect my house, floors and carpets from wear.

The problem that they quickly fixed a week ago turned out to be hiding a much bigger problem. They came out fast, figured out what had gone wrong, explained it clearly, got it done. These guys are professional. Very responsive, service is outstanding. I needed a new hot water heater, mine was 17 yrs old and leaking. They sent Carlos (great guy) the very same day I called. I was ready to laugh if they pushed some garbage water heater (he didnt). All of my questions were answered and the water heater I planned to ask about was brought up before I remembered I made a list. The install was quicker than estimated. They (apprentice) wore a mask, laid out carpet and wore shoe covers. Provided updates and showed me how to operate before they took off. At this point, satisfied. I will come back and destroy this comment if I have problems. Cheers!

Great experience with Golden West Plumbing! Although they did not do the work, they gave us a clear explanation of what was causing our leak. It was not related to plumbing. Josh was very helpful and went out of his way to explain the situation. We only paid a trip charge and he spent close to two hours inspecting the water leak. I will definitely use Golden West in the future for any plumbing needs. They are a company you can trust to do the right thing!

The furnace wasn't working quite right, it would come on but the heat wasn't always coming out very warm. Went with Golden West on a recommendation. They get the system up and running again. So in that respect they did great.However unless your furnace is in the most easily accessible location don't use them, they upcharge to get up into the attic and it doesn't seem consistent on when they charge for that extra fee. They certainly didn't charge my friend when they had to crawl in to access his furnace.Yes, I could've turned them away when I was made aware of it after they arrived. But come on, it was cold out and we needed a furnace working properly. Definitely felt like a bait and switch

Had to replace the turn off valve to the main water line….of shared water btwn several townhomes. Overall a ‘relatively’ fast fix and I learned a lot from Rico. He was polite, professional and very funny!

What an amazing experience we had with Golden West! We had a gas leak at our home. I called Golden West at 12:30 pm on a Saturday, Anthony was on site within 2.5 hours. We had some extensive issues and Anthony was able to very quickly trouble shoot and recommend an approach to solving the issue. He stayed with us til 11pm that night to make sure things were being taken care of correctly. While the resolution took a couple days due to permits etc.. his professionalism and proactive communication was unbelievable. He explained the issues and solutions in a very clear manner that was easy to understand for a lay person. Furthermore the entire Golden West team that supported him treated us and our home like a priority. This is by far the best experience I have ever had with a contractor and I know for sure they did everything they could to make sure that we had the most cost effective solution without sacrificing quality and safety. Will and the staff worked hard to get to my home on a holiday weekend. He arrived on time and quickly identified the location of my leak. He diligently did the repair, and left me with suggestions as to how to monitor potential issues that my plumbing system may present in the future. It's a heat wave and the AC was on the fritz - 82 degrees in the house :(After other companies tried unsuccessfully to fix the unit, we knew we needed to replace.Chris was a huge help and answered all of my questions. After getting 4 other estimates, we went with Golden West and today they replaced the AC unit and the cool air coming out of the vents is awesome! My experience with Golden West was phenomenal from a-z. I called on a Sunday about my ac being broken and was told I could have someone come out the same day...I was pleasantly surprised! I expected them to say way later in week. Andy Heinz came out the next day and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He knew almost immediately what was wrong after running a few tests and was super efficient, even after having to run up and down my 3 flights of stairs in 85 degrees 6x times (if that’s not service I’m not sure what is). He even helped fix a piece on my water heater that had been broken for years and was causing a leak. The price was extremely reasonable for the level of diligence that was performed. I was also impressed by how highly Andy spoke of the company and enjoyed working there; assured me that every service from Golden West would be just as good. I was updated with the status of my driver and given his name Carlos by Sara, telling me he was 30 min away.Carlos showed up and greeted me in a similar way as Sara.Carlos entered with a mask, shoe coverings and gloves. He went right to work on my heater and cleaned and searched for issues. Recommendations were made, but recommendations made with time frames in mind. I agreed to an ignitor replacement of which took him 15-30 min. Carlos was a polite, knowledgeable person and can assume he's a goldmine of an asset for his company.I will certainly use Golden West again. Very impressed with Golden West and the work of Anthony Garcia. Our Radiant heating system had failed leading into a cold weekend and Golden West found a way to fit us in on a Saturday and Anthony quickly diagnosed the problem and installed a replacement pump that afternoon. The was the most professional residential service experience I have had from Ally at their service center to the timely email updates on Anthony's ETA to the service and communication from Anthony whilst performing the repair. I have over 30 years of experience in the commercial and industrial HVAC sector and would have no hesitation in recommending this company and Anthony in particular for professional residential HVAC service and repair.

We really needed my mother in law's swamp cooler fixed. She is elderly and we didn't want her dealing with the heat. When I called they scheduled me for 2 weeks out, only to call and reschedule me the day of the appointment. According to Golden West they over booked jobs. When I asked if they could grantee they wouldn't cancel next week she said we promise we won't. I felt like I wasn't a priority at all.

Andy saved our lives! Well not literally but he saved us from our apartments unbearable heat which is almost equivalent. We had a problem with our AC unit and actually had another company come by and take a look the week before who told us this would be an impossible project and would cost us over 10k... we were pretty devastated and were preparing to be without heat for the next few months.THANK GOD we decided to call Golden West!! As soon as Andy stepped foot into our apartment I could tell that he was here to give us clear answers about what exactly is wrong and how to fix it. Turns out our thermostat was broken which was a pretty easy fix to get our AC up and running again.It was very impressive not only how detail oriented Andy was, but how well versed he was in how thermostats work and communicate. He was fantastic (professional and friendly), explained the problem and reviewed repair options with me.They had to order the part and come back on another occasion to install. I called Golden West after a recommendation from a neighbor, and it was the best decision. We needed to completely replace all of the original galvanized steel water lines from 1969, and after inquiring on the phone, they sent out Will LeGrand to run an inspection and deliver an estimate. Will did an outstanding job setting expectations for the project, and took the time on his first visit to explore the house and crawl space to deliver an accurate diagnostic and estimate. I appreciate that everything done was digitally, too (he took photos on an iPad and typed up notes that could then be shared with me). He also was incredibly respectful of the house, always putting on shoe-covers before walking around inside. Plus, he's just a friendly guy! Clearly loves his line of work, and it shows as he conducts himself personally, and professionally.Once I decided to move forward with the project, after having a couple other companies come in to deliver estimates, I determined that Golden West was the most thorough when it came to diagnosing the problem and providing an incredibly fair market-price, with a great warranty.When it finally came to getting the work done, the team was fantastic. It only took them one day to completely remove all of the old galvanized steel, and replace it all with PEX and copper. This wasn't a small endeavor, and I'm so glad I decided to pull the trigger on it. Everything in the crawlspace looks organized and intentional. And most of the exposed material in the house is copper. Looks great. Plus, throughout the whole process, Will would keep me up-to-date with progress and provide insight into what the team was working on, or any snags that came up. I also have to mention that their dispatch team would always contact me before anyone would show up to make sure I was home and expecting an arrival. Also, incredibly friendly! Little things like that really do go a long way.Payment options are flexible too. Went to HD bought it for $600, slid it up a ladder and had it installed in 3 hours myself.The quote was outrageous, and excuses of limited labour doesn't justify that quote.At some point, if they leverage the lack of labor excuse they need to just not quote specific jobs. Stick to the AC Recharge business and be done with it as that's the easiest and most lucrative job out there, hence the deceptive high ratings on Google.A/C recharge maybe, anything else look around.

Golden West was able to pull in my appointment by two days. Carlos arrived within an hour window, was very respectful and explained my options to repair my heating system. He was able to get the parts and repair the system the very same day. Very happy with the level of service Golden West provided. Will definitely use them in the future.

Called to get a blade rotation of my sewer to clean out some roots, based on a sewer scope inspection I had already gotten. Was told that I could not get an estimate until somebody came out. Nico showed up and tried to upsell me on a $2k+ cleaning, using scare tactics to tell me that there was a buildup of body fat (whatever that is) and additionally that I should obviously be very concerned since the previous seller of the home got that inspection done. (I had gotten it done myself prior to buying). He then tried to charge me $700+ for a simple sewer cleaning. When I refused, he tried to charge me a dispatch fee. I refused that too, and he left.Golden West's dispatcher apologized and rescheduled me with a new plumber, promising to make things right. That person never showed up.

My husband and I trusted Chris from the beginning. He was not only the person that came to talk to us about our furnace but subsequently installed it as well. He and his crew were professional and a lot of fun while they were doing the job. We enjoyed them tremendously. They took appropriate safety measures during this Covid time and took the utmost care of our home. We really appreciated that. Now we have an amazing new furnace with a lot of power and no more rattling!

December 6, 2022My boiler has been having problems since November 18th. I had difficulty getting someone out to repair it initially due to GW being short staffed and a scheduling issue. After those issues were resolved and Carlos arrived, with his intern Max, they were able to diagnose and fix several problems. Carlos has returned to solve my water hammer issue and again solved the problem. He will be returning quickly to put a new pump on the boiler system.Carlos is a top notch tech. Booking the service was easy and the person that I was booking with even went out of their way to ask questions to make sure it was a job that they would actually be able to service (apparently freezing ACs are a no go?) so I wouldn't be charged just for them to show up. They were able to move up my appointment time and came promptly at the new time. They quickly assessed the situation, fixed it, and the diagnostic was very thorough after that. My name is Randy Jacobs. We had Brendan and his assistant at our new house yesterday to winterize the swamp cooler. I was worried because the cooler is on a steep roof. A prior company left some wood planks on the roof. Brendan and his assistant were absolutely fantastic! They winterized the cooler and also made some recommendations for a new ball valve for the cooler for next spring. They also took down the wood planks for me. My experience with the visit was 11/10! I don't often write reviews but felt compelled because of how great the visit was. Brendan is so cheerful and so helpful!! He won us over to use your company in the future for sure!

We had a pipe burst on a Sunday morning. Golden West was here by the afternoon, replaced our outdoor faucet and fixed the pipe. Golden west has an efficient and professional operation. Being a part of their VIP program is a small and fair fee that If you care about maintaining your HVAC system with regularity, is quickly re-couped.It’s hard to know if you really need the maintenance service but living in colorado with a family where the temps can surge into the triple figures or get below Freezing and overnight temp swings can be 40 degrees or more, in my opinion it’s worth the peace of mind to have your system maintained with seasonal visits for the heat and AC, all for the price of what equates to less than 2 months of most people’s cable bill.Also special out to Carlos , the latest service tech to visit us. He was professional, knowledgeable and friendly, provided some tips to help us keep running smoothly long term.Thanks again Carlos and the Golden west team.

Will and Angelo arrived promptly and repaired and updated old leaking plumbing that previous owners hid very well behind tile. They were thorough, polite, and professional. Shower works great and Golden West has already checked with us to make sure everything has gone well.

Addition- my furnace was having trouble igniting after first service, (we hoped a regular service would fix it, but no such luck) Carlos contacted Ruud and they gave him ideas how to fix it. Now it has no mis-fires. True service where they go above and beyond.

I scheduled an appointment to get an estimate on a large plumbing job. Golden West schedules 4 hour appointment windows. They showed up at the end of the window but did not bring scopes, so they were unable to put together an estimate. I had specifically told Golden West when I made the appointment, I had a pipe burst below the foundation and I was looking for options and a estimate. Why they sent a technician, not properly equipped to do the the estimate is beyond me. The technician scheduled me for an appointment for the next day first appointment at 8:00 AM. I called at 7:30 AM to reconfirm the appointment. The women, I spoke to refused to reconfirm what the technician would be there at 8:00 AM, as I was promised me the day before. She said I would receive a call sometime before 10:00 AM By 9:00 AM I had not received a call. I called Golden to cancel the appointment and they did not seem to care that they had lost the job. Golden West wasted a lot of my time trying to get an estimate for a large plumbing job.

Seven years ago, the previous owner of my home had Golden West install the sanitary sewer pipe. Golden West provided them a 10-year warranty on parts and labor. Recently, I discovered that the sewer had a couple of low spots where water was pooling, causing the system to back up. Golden West honored the warranty and replaced the pipe. They completed the repair quickly and charged me nothing for the warranty repair. This company is trustworthy and easy to work with.

Josh arrived on a very timely fashion—with a smile. After the problem explained to him, he did an initial assessment, asked the necessary questions and explained the scope of the work that he would initially like to accomplish. He went step by step in his explanation of the work to be done and why.I like watching the skilled persons who work in my home and Josh was comfortable with me asking many questions.The finished repair of the leaking pipe above my basement ceiling was neat. Josh cleaned up well after the job was completed. Lastly, I love the idea of an emailed invoice along with the before and after pictures.

A rep came out to give us a quote for a tankless water heater. He was thorough, examining the house to make sure he was making the correct assumptions about what work would need to be done. He then explained it all to me, including comparing the pros and cons of tankless vs traditional and how it all applies to our old house. I’m so thankful he took the time to talk through it all with me.

My wife used Golden West Plumping back in November of 2017. When we had main line blockage. They informed her and my son we had some broken pipes causing bellies in the main line to the sewer. It was suggested to replace the main line pipe sometime in the near future. So when the weather got warm I gave them a call to followup on the information they gave my wife. They sent Anthony out, who was the one that did the service call in November. He did an excellent job in reviewing the problem. The technician was on time, but within minutes of being in my house he broke a ceramic tray sitting on the toilet lid that I’ve had for years and has a lot of sentimental value. Didn’t bother to move the things sitting on the toilet lid, he just picked it up and it fell and shattered. He was also difficult to speak with and kept insisting that we didn’t have a leak and our outrageous water bill was due to “inflation.” Not professional at all.

Amazing! Anthony Garcia was phenomenal and never once tried to sell us anything. He took the time to explain what was going on with our AC and gave us multiple options to choose from for replacement. The only saving grace was Anthony. Scheduled an appointment for Friday evening that got pushed back to Sat. We called the number and they told us we didn’t answer to confirm the appointment (total BS ) they had both our contact info. Got rescheduled for Monday Anthony showed up and fixed the issues. Very polite neat and quick. Their call center and scheduler not so good to say the least but Anthony 5 stars.

The plumber/electrican was completely competent and a very pleasant guy. He explained everything and gave me options for what I wanted him to do. The only improvement would be the pricing not the plumber/ electrician. Very expensive and like a car repair you are charged alot of labor and it only takes him 3 hours for 6-8 hours billing. There was some flexibility in the pricing but it was very expensive despite some coupons which they honored. Nice people . Great for an emergency 24/7.

Anthony was awesome for our AC installation. He was originally out to work on our swamp cooler, and after having an honest conversation with him about our options - no pressure, we decided to bite the bullet with a new AC unit for the whole house. We were able to get on the schedule 5 days later. Installation was great, him and Fabian worked all day to get us going with cold air for the night and finished up the next day. Very happy with service.

Then talked me through everything he was doing and gave me a great rate to get my drains flowing again. Golden West just leveled-up the hydronic heating system capabilities in the Denver-metro area (possibly in the Western US). Jason, Manny & Joseph and team, impressively, completed a comprehensive Steam boiler to Combi boiler conversion on my over 80+ yo system. I’m an old-house lover: I spend all of my free time, learning about, buying, living in, and remodeling historic properties but I also care for the environment and sustainability. Subsequently, I spent the last several years researching and talking to tons of hydronic heating specialists, looking for someone who could think in terms of preserve AND modernize and really think through the complexities of heating my house. I’m very well versed in the topic and I hate duck-tape solutions. Jason’s responses to my laundry list of prodding questions struck me right-away as the most knowledgeable I’ve met - he loves to talk about (not down) about heating systems. I’ve talked with several other companies. One other top-rated hydronic boiler specialist (their website boasts they’re ability to work with ALL residential heating and cooling systems) called me back early one evening, had poor answers to my testing questions, talked down to me, and quickly told me I was interrupting their dinner. I did not hear back from them. At best, the other companies were friendly enough but had a solution that was remedial or just lame. Jason, on the other-hand had exactly what I wanted – a comprehensive, non-conventional solutions to a multi-variant problem to preserve and modernize with and attitude of “we can figure this out.” Golden West was not the cheapest solution but they were the best.While working here the team showed three highly valuable qualities – 1.) they loved to talk about what they were doing & why and the quality of products, 2.) they showed up smiling with a positive attitude, I could hear them laughing as they worked 3.) they really tried to be respectful and modest.Manny rattled off several advanced features of this new model of Combi boiler they were installing. Joseph was happy to discuss the programmable thermostat and separately even made suggestion about how my dishwasher was piped. Ultimately, I will geek-out with my engineer friends for the next several years about all the information and data Jason told me about hydronic systems. -I’m going to brag about my combi boiler's sensor system at Christmas dinner.It was evident that the team hadn’t done this exact solution before. (But, really, neither has anybody in Denver.) I think they learned some lessons that they’d do differently next time – maybe do a little more detailed pre-planning and it’s always a challenge to keep aesthetic details in mind. However, these guys should be proud of tackling this challenge with such gusto.You really can’t find contracting companies with employees this devoted to doing a good work. Most contractors do a calculation about how they can make the most money in the shortest amount of time -not concerned with learning anything new - and they calculate how little quality they can return and stay in business. Jason and team demonstrated that Golden West sees the value in keeping an extraordinary name for themselves. I will be a returning customer and I almost never say that when a contractor leaves.

Anthony was awesome! He replaced our water heater and furnace. He was very professional, clean, and great at helping us through the process. Golden West made a stressful time very easy. 5 stars. Would definitely recommend Golden West and Anthony.

Josh was awesome! Our shower had a leak (result of a DIY project gone wrong), and we needed a quick fix, so we could give our 12 week old baby a bath . He stayed late on a Friday night to get the job done, and overcame many obstacles our 30+ year old shower threw at him. He thoroughly explained everything he was doing, and I will definitely ask him to come out for out next plumbing issue!

After several weeks of attempting to find a plumber based on recommendation, I finally googled and started calling down the list. They were the first to answer so they got my business. I was very pleased about the entire experience, from dispatch to the actual visit. Josh was very informative about what he was doing, was clean and contentious of my house and resolved the issue. EXCELLENT SERVICE ON EVERY LEVEL!!!!! Andy came in and quickly diagnosed our furnace problems. Unfortunately, the list of problems was substantial and Andy provided the best options to move forward. We opted to replace the furnace altogether. Andy and Fabian installed the new unit and made several adjustments to make up for several bad decisions made by previous owners. Andy was great! He is an expert on boilers and knows how to do things right. He spent a good chunk of time cleaning ours as best he could, given its unfortunate state. A new pump and boiler are likely in our future and I will 100% trust Andy’s advice about those moving forward.

We had our furnace break when it was 10 degrees outside and Anthony Garcia came to help us after hours on a holiday. We were very impressed with the professional service and thoughtfulness to give us space heaters for that night since he had to come back in the morning to complete the repair. We had a hot water line break in our upper bathroom. We called Golden West and, while they weren't able to get out immediately that day, their tech arrived first thing the next morning to get the line repaired, which I was fine with. I was able to locate the leak and shut the main supply off myself so there was no urgency. The tech made the repairs in timely and professional manner. Very please with Golden West.

I had a big problem arise with a main waste water line in my home. Golden West had Jose out to my house the next day, and he had the problem diagnosed and fixed in under two hours. He was friendly, polite, and clearly knowledgeable about the repair. The price was way higher than I expected (hence 4-stars instead of 5), but speed and quality were on par so I am overall satisfied. I will definitely look to Golden West in the future for emergency plumbing issues.

Brendan Franklin repaired my boiler system and did a great job. He was extremely professional and knew everything about boilers like the back of his hands. He explained everything that needed to be done in details and got everything done as promised. This guy have pride in his job and went above and beyond to help me any ways he can. Brendan, Fabian and Will did an excellent job replacing the plumbing in a 60 year old house with a lot of original pipes. They were very professional and did an incrediable amount of work in 1 day. This is a great company. The customer service is one of the best I have experienced. Call on the weekend - even after hours - someone answers - someone that is helpful. I use them for my air conditioner. Carlos their Tec on my service call was on time, courteous, knowledgeable, explained what he was doing, asked if I had questions and put on booties every time he entered my house. Carlos did a great job being the face of the company. I would use this company again and would recommend them - my experience was just that great.

Review 12/31/2019: Anthony helped me with my furnace on New Year’s Eve night. He was very thorough and fixed it within an hour! Really appreciated that he described the situation in layman’s terms.Review 9/16/2022: unfortunately I needed work done with my sewer lines. Golden west told me I needed to replace the second line from my house quoting about $15,000. When I got another company to look at it, they were able to find a much simpler solution that was less invasive and cost about a quarter of the price. I don’t know if golden west purposely tried to upswell this or if they were wrong but I would suggest a second opinion for big items- specifically sewer line related ones.

Anthony, Daniel, Carlos and Kyle were great. When Anthony originally came out to give me a quote on replacing my furnace and AC, he was polite and truly listened to what I needed. During installation, all of the gentlemen were thoughtful and considerate. When finished, everything was cleaned up and the new furnace works great! I will definitely recommend Golden West to friends and family!

Allie promptly called me back minutes after submitting a form online and had someone at our house within two hours!! Brendan was amazing and friendly. He had our AC back up and running within the hour. All of the other places we called said it would be a week to a month until they had someone available. If your AC goes out and you need help FAST call this company!!

This was my first time using Golden West, and I was very lucky to have Carlos Gutierrez as my technician. He performed routine maintenance on my AC, furnace, and water heater.Carlos was very patient in explaining anything of concern and kindly addressed my worries and questions I had about each appliance's repairs. He wasn't pushy on selling me the membership, but with such great customer service, I'd was more than happy to sign up.Very happy to have found a great technician!

Jose' and his assistant were fantastic. They arrived on time and did a great job. They were prepared to cover a hole in the ceiling with a spring cover and helped clean up the fixtures. They replaced aged plastic with brass and I am hopeful that a few weeks out I will know for certain that the job holds. There is a 2 year warranty and Jose' assured me that he would come out personally to fix any problems. I have used this company all last year and, so far, I have had nothing but good quality work done by them. They are also super nice people!

I called Golden West to service the swamp cooler at our new house. We were able to get an appointment quickly, the dispatch/scheduler was friendly and communication was great. Carlos did a great job and it was one of the most professional, expert, and positive experiences with a company. My furnace broke late at night and Kelly spoke to me on the phone and was so friendly and helpful in managing it for the night. What a phenomenal experience! Brendan is the man! I called Golden West and Brendan was at my door 40 minutes after the call ended! There was no sneaky business. Everything was straight forward and Brendan had us blowing cold air 20 minutes later. Not only that, he helped us by recommending the VIP program that is absolutely necessary and worth it. $149 and you get priority service and no trip charge during regular hours and they knock $29 off of after hours calls. There are a ton of savings to be had. Excellent and professional. We had our water mainline break outside right after a day of snowfall. Phillip came within an hour of my call to Golden West and was able to troubleshoot the issue and provide pricing options on the spot. After we selected the option we wanted and signed the contract, Phillip and his crew were back the very next day (a Saturday) and worked all day in the snow to replace the water line. They obtained all the necessary permits and scheduled the inspection with the City. When the City inspector identified an issue, they resolved the issue the very next day and we incurred no additional charges. When digging up our yard, they were very considerate of the landscaping and made sure to lay plywood on the grass to pile all the dirt on. They even took care to save all the sod they took up and put it back in place. I honestly can’t even tell there was once a huge hole in our yard. I feel they were a bit more expensive than other plumbers we have used in the past, but totally worth it considering how well run this company is and the excellent service. Will definitely use them again and refer friends.

The estimate I was given was $89. They charged me $600. I am a single mom and teacher, and they clearly ripped me off. They were scheduled from 2-4pm and showed up after 5pm. It took the guy 20 minutes to complete the job. All it took was a few elbow bends. He, however, stuck around talking about himself, clearly not interested in an actual conversation. Do not use this company! They are not honest. They are not professional. The guy would not leave.

Found problem and solved problem! We are really happy with the work done by Brendan. He was on-time, professional and was a great communicator. He did a really nice job to make sure that everything was handled quickly and cleanly! Came out on short notice on a Friday on his day off when our 14 yr old hot water heater sprung a leak.

I gave the one star for the ONE employee there who actually knows how to treat customers. With the climate we are currently living in, suddenly there are people that think it's okay to speak rudely to paying customers. We used Golden West for the first time about a year ago to winterize/repair our swamp cooler. Somehow, an attachment to our hose came up missing, but the service was good so we didn't worry too much about it. This summer we started having problems with the unit blowing warm air, and after a $160 visit we seemed to be back in business. However, about a week after that repair, the issue started again. We put in a call, made two appointments that were subsequently cancelled due to weather, with no return call from them to reschedule. When we finally got someone out, we were told we'd need a new pump, and quoted a price of $400.00 When my husband called to set that up he got Jason on the phone who scoffed at the price we were given, and proceeded to double that price, and say call the other guy then, because I'm not doing it for that price. Horrible. Hopefully Jason is the owner, and can make decisions about what they will and will not do. If so, maybe he should discuss pricing with his employees, so that customers aren't quoted a price that's incorrect. When my husband told him he could buy a new unit for that price, Jason told him to go ahead, it's gonna run you out about $4k. Which is BS. If you want prompt, courteous, actual customer service, choose someone else. These guys are not professionals. Not by a long shot.

Absolutely wonderful service! We had an after hours issue and they came promptly and did a great job. They were very easy to schedule and our tech Andy was excellent. He was extremely thorough, nice, and explained the problem and how he would fix it. Highly recommend using this company and am already scheduled to use them again for a separate issue!

Brendan did a great job! I was having a problem with an AC unit that was kicking on seemingly at random. Brendan very quickly was able to identify that a tech from a different company had mixed up some wires and fixed it immediately. He was extremely professional and friendly throughout the visit and only charged me the trip fee because it was such a simple repair (for him-I never would have figured that out!). I've only used Golden West a couple times so far, but all interactions with them have been wonderful and I plan on continuing to call them for any HVAC issues I have in the future.

We have been using Golden West for a few years for HVAC and started using them recently for plumbing as well. We have been consistently satisfied with the service. We have had Ben for plumbing work and Jesse for HVAC and both are efficient, thorough and go above and beyond to ensure any problems are resolved and they’ve provided recommendations to keep systems running well and to prevent future issues. When the pilot light of our old furnace went out, I first called another company who came out after hours and charged us a hefty fee. That company also quoted an inspection and repairs that would cost a significant amount. When the pilot light went out again several hours later, I called Golden West instead. Anthony was available that afternoon. For a reasonable fee, he took care of the pilot light and gave me an assessment of needed repairs. He candidly explained that the repairs may/may not work on the 30 year old furnace and that we should plan on replacement soon. Hours later, the pilot light was out again! With winter storms predicted in the next several days, we made the immediate decision to go ahead with the much-needed replacement. Anthony was available that afternoon and worked late on a Friday night to get the new furnace running before we went to bed. He was back the next day - a Saturday - to finish some work. Through the whole process, Anthony was friendly, polite, hard-working and informative. We are very pleased with the work provided by Golden West!

Verify everything this company tells you. I was over quoted for a job that wouldn't have fixed my AC problem. Found out out that it was a completely different issue that I was told. What happened to honesty and integrity 😕

Tony and his partner fixed a leak situation on our washer set up. They made a complicated job seem easy and were in and out in no time. I can't recommend Golden West enough. Always super professional and very effective. Pro Tip get the VIP membership it pays for itself quickly.

We call for service and willing to wait until the next day. The time was frame was set and got a call letting us know that we were 2nd in the tech call order. We keep on pushing out time back to where the tec will try to fit us in before he goes home. This wasn't very good customer service so we had to get another company that came with a few hours of our call!

Anthony and Josh installed a 240 outlet in our garage and did a great job. They also assembled and installed a very complicated chandelier. They took great care in making sure it was done well.

I called Golden West to request service on one 50 gal. water heater, and one tank-less water heater due to various issues. Golden West dispatched Chris to assess these issues. Chris was professional, knowledgeable, and an all around good guy! He quickly assessed the issues, and provided us with the options we needed to fix the issues at hand. As new homeowners, my fiancé and I were terrified when we started having furnace issues when the temperature dropped for the first time this winter. In hindsight we had nothing to fear. Golden West took care of our concerns as soon as possible and charged us a reasonable rate.I had the good fortune of working with Carlos. Carlos was kind, considerate of my home, pets and belongings, and kept me laughing the whole time! I had Carlos come to my house last August to give me a quote on a new swamp cooler. Two weeks ago I had him come back and he honored the original quote he gave me, which I appreciated greatly. He and his co-worker came the next morning and by the early afternoon, had it installed and running like a champ. The job they did was efficient, professional, and aesthetically pleasing. Couldn't recommend them more! Great people skills and easy to have around your home.

Tony (and crew) saved us. We purchased a 1946 home and knew the plumbing was going to be an issue, but we had no idea what was in store for us until we had a leak in the basement just three weeks after closing. I called Golden West Plumbing because their website said 24 Hour Emergency Service and this was an emergency. Tony was at our home in about 2 hours from the phone call (arrived around 3:00PM) and stayed until 11:00PM that night. After walls were opened up to see the full scope of what we were dealing with, Tony was honest and gave us three choices: a temporary fix; a partial fix or a full pipe replacement throughout the house. After seeing the pipes for ourselves, we decided to go with the plan of replacing all pipes in our home with copper. Tony also replaced our water heater (12 years old and needed it) and changed out some shower fixtures that were in need of updating. ALL work was completed in three days. The professionalism shown by Tony exceeded my expectations and I knew we were in good hands. It's been three weeks since the work has been completed and we haven't had any other issues. I have great peace of mind knowing Tony treated our home as if it were his own and the work done was top-notch. Great care was taken and he spent many long hours working hard to get the job done. If/when we need it, we will be using Golden West Plumbing again in the future.

Had some issues with burst pipes in my basement and some issues with my boiler. Jason was extremely knowledgeable about boiler systems and was more than capable in diagnosing and repairing my unit. He also assisted me in tracking down leaks from burst pipes. Great job.

It was very easy to book the services and the fee structure was very clear and listed on the website. The technician, Carlos, was on time, very professional, very knowledgable and explained additional options the company offered but didn't pressure me into feeling I needed to spend more at the moment. I would say they do have a membership program that sounds very interesting given we are headed in to the cold months.

Golden West was by far the best vendor we have dealt since purchasing our home. As a first time home buyer, seeking out vendors can be overwhelming and intimidating. Golden West Plumbing is none of that. After being shot down by two other companies who supposedly had technicians on call 24/7...we called Golden West Plumbing. I'm mad I even wasted my time with those other calls. From the very first interaction, the receptionist was kind and patient with me and my lack of technical terminology as I tried to explain the problem. She quickly booked me in and told me she was able to get someone out there not only that day, but within 3 hours. She originally gave me a 1-3 pm time frame....they called and said they were on their way within an hour of my original call! Amazing service points already! Then when Chris V and Gabe W showed up, the great service continued. Both gentlemen were kind, confident, helpful, and very informative. They detailed out the whole project, gave us 5 different options to choose from, explained each of them in depth, and then gave us privacy to make a choice. From then, they immediately got started, quickly, quietly, and professionally fixing our furnace. They even did multiple test runs, helped us hook it back up to our wireless thermostat, and sized our machine for the appropriate filter. They answered all of our questions, never making us feel stupid for asking. They finished up, picked up, and even dusted behind themselves before they left. Again, Chris V and Gabe W did excellent work in-house, and the front office who helped us out with scheduling were all awesome. Andy is very knowledgable with boiler systems and takes the time to explain to us what he found was the problem. We also liked the fact that he tested and insured the heating system was working properly and checked the gauges before he left to double check everything was OK. Zach was very thorough at explaining everything throughout the process, and they both went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right.Will also repaired our toilet. Previously we’ve used Golden West for plumbing and they provided excellent service. We needed a furnace checked and called on Tuesday. I had already had a poor experience with another vendor who left me hanging & reached out to Golden West as a referral from my real estate agent. Golden West made the inspection & repair of my A/C unit seamless. I called just after mid-day & they were willing to send someone out the same day. Tony was my technician. He was kind, courteous, & very knowledgeable. He explained everything to me & presented me with a number of options. Upon finding our drain backed up on Halloween evening, we contacted Golden West Plumbing because of their high reviews. Professional and prompt. Rico's crew dug up the old rotten drain under the basement floor that had collapsed, hauled away all the affected soil, replaced with new pipe and fill and concrete. Protected stairs, carpet, and adjoining areas. Cleaned up in a good manner, including outside. Started and finished in one day!

Our furnace was out at 5AM, and Chris was here at 830. He quickly found the problem, gave us our pricing options, and had it fixed before 11AM. He also did a great deal to make it affordable- found ways to discount nearly $300, and he honored a warranty. The work could have exceeded $2000, but he came in just over $1000. He was clean, friendly, and efficient. I would absolutely call Golden West again, and I would hope that Chris would return.

I came home on a cold night in February to find out that my furnace wasn’t working. It was 5:30 at night, so I had to call a company who was open after hours. I looked at the reviews and saw that Golden West had great reviews. Well, they exceeded my expectations. It started with Sarah, who answered the phone. So friendly and helpful. Brendan has been an excellent technician to work with over the past few weeks while my heating issue has been taken care of. I've used multiple companies and Golden West was by far the most helpful and responsive. Brendan put in a lot of work and I am very impressed with his professionalism.

The technician was very nice, professional and courteous! We had the motor on the blower that pushes hot and cold air through the vents quit. Of course it was a holiday but Golden West offers 24/7 service and we managed to grab a slot! It did cost more but we faced several days in a motel so we felt it was worth it.

They came within 90 minutes of me calling on a Sunday, were communicative, extremely professional, & fixed the issue within 20 minutes. Great prices & absolutely will use again!

The Golden West Team knocked out the project in ONE DAY, and even came back to clean up the next day. Anthony did an awesome job at fixing our plumbing issues. He quickly diagnosed our problem and then went to home depot to buy the parts needed because they weren't stocked on his truck. Our commercial rooftop AC unit stopped working during Labor Day weekend and these guys were here within an hour! They found the problem and fixed it within an hour. They saved our bacon! I'm grateful for their speed and efficiency. The price was a lot better than I was expecting.

Pricing seems a bit predatory. Two hours of work and a 6 inch section of pipe behind my exterior spigot should not cost $800. It seems like they might be relying on folks who don't have time to shop around and balk at the idea of cost comparing after seeing the sunk cost they've already paid to have the job estimated. Maybe I'm wrong, and plumbers actually do charge $400/hour.. If so, I've chosen the wrong profession. They also didn't repair the wall that they cut out, which I was disappointed to learn because, after hearing the price, I had assumed this was a full service job. I recommend shopping around and seeing if you can get an estimate first.On the positive side, my tech was excellent. Very kind and professional, and got the main job done without issue.

After having renovations done to my bathroom, the heating system stopped working. We have a boiler which needed to be purged and re-piped. Anthony came and assessed what needed to be done and gave me several options as to what he could do for us. We decided to go with his recommendation. He did an excellent job and the re-piping he did in the boiler was beautiful! Now we have heat! The price was on the high side, but considering the work he did, it made sense. My old inefficient furnace finally blew a motor and Chris came out the next morning. Golden West met all my expectations with how the whole thing went down. I was presented with several options but didn't want to dump a lot of money into an old furnace that struggle to heat my 800 sq ft home so I went with a moderately priced unit and was very happy with how fast it happened. Same Day. They were done by about 5pm with the install. They even replaced an arm off the main trunk over to my son's room because it had been repaired DIY-style by so many previous home owners.They sealed everything up and helped to get my Nest thermostat installed correctly and set up. Gave me tips on how to keep the machine running the best through winter, like cycling the warm air upstairs with the blower on. They also brought my exhaust up to code and scheduled the inspection around my schedule. I am a very happy customer and will use them moving forward for my properties.My dog was even thrilled with Chris.

When it comes to needing these kinds of services, I have learned the hard way that you get what you pay for. Golden West isn't the cheapest, but the work is done right, the first time, and as quickly as possible. The people are professional and friendly..a rare combination!Specifically, our experience with Golden West also includes their genuine concern for leaving our home as clean and undisturbed-looking as possible. They went the extra mile with my 90 and 92-yr old parents; caring and considerate of their confusion through every step of the process. ANY question was answered thoroughly and in a friendly way. Our project had to be done on a day that hit 100 degrees, and there wasn't a complaint, not a hesitation, no sign that the hand-digging they did to preserve a garden was anything other than what they love to do.We cannot recommend Ben Pitcher and his crew highly enough.

It was a massive job, but so glad I chose a Golden West — and for getting Jose assigned to the job. Honestly, however much he and his crew get paid, it should be 5x more. What started off as a strange kitchen sink issue (my amateur diagnosis) became a long overdue 100 year old house Plumbing fix. Jose & crew redid all the plumbing in my house, as well as new drains to the Denver City main in 3 super long days. It was an invasive job (diggers, core drills, concrete removal, etc), but they were diligent about doing the work right, doing it fast, and communicating thoroughly with us. I’ve now used Golden West for my business and my house, and couldn’t be happier I picked them many years ago!

I have had nothing but great experiences with the work and services of Golden West. It started with fixing a busted water faucet at my house - the repair was excellent and the cost was reasonable. The owner was so professional and kind that I ended up using his company again and again. I've had them replace two furnaces at my rental and replace a main sewage line. I'm happy with all their past work and I can trust that they will give me a fair price for the work- that's really important to me. Woke up to a freezing house on the Sunday before Thanksgiving and realized our heater was not working properly. Given it was about to be a very cold night I was worried I wouldn’t be able to find someone on the weekend.Sara answered my call right away and was super quick to get a repair tech scheduled to the house. She estimated he would be by between 1-3 and he arrived promptly at 12:50 ish. Sara also called when he was 15 minutes out to let us know. When Brendan arrive he actually offered to bring the packages that were on my doorstep in. He checked the thermostat then headed up to the attic which is only accessible by a ladder outside the house. He found the issue right away (clogged filter) and we were able to make the change in roughly 3 minutes. All in all - super responsive, very nice and efficient. Will definitely call them again if we need help!

He was very friendly, explained what he needed to do, gave tips to prevent the problem from occurring, gave us a good price for the work, and told some good stories! It took him about an hour to fix our clogged kitchen sink and clean everything up. The sink is now working better than ever. (I may have gotten his name wrong... I thought he said his name was Kyle, but the email said Sky.)

I am not one who usually offers feed back unless I receive usually horrible service. Well that's how extraordinarily good their service is. The furnace repair person who came to replace the furnace was professional, cleanly dress and very personable. Around mid day he informed us that he was going to take a short lunch break. My thoughts were Oh No he is going to disappear for hours. 15 minutes later he return ready to finish the job. On completion of the furnace install he cleaned up better than my wife's expectations! Trust me that's a high level clean!! Thank you Golden West a company who should be the upper most measure for excellent service.

I have used Golden West since I bought my house over four years ago and they are great. I have always been able to get a prompt appointment and Carlos has been the tech every time. Super nice guy, very professional and not the kind of tech that tries to upcharge and find stuff that does not need fixing. Can't say enough nice things about him and Golden West. I bid out 7 different companies (most of whom just sent their most “tenured sales guy” but Andy played sales and then installed my equipment. Lead senior tech Anthony Garcia is that rare combination of courtesy and competency that one hopes to find during a service visit. He did a thorough inspection of our furnace and water heater, found the source of a gas leak and had the equipment to fix it and upgrade both our systems without delay. All along the way, he clearly and simply described the problem and the solution, offering us different options. He also took time to answer our questions, and even explored other issues we raised unrelated to the task at hand. Super friendly guy, and a very positive experience.

Answered promptly, even late at night, and came out first thing the next morning! Plumber knew what he was doing, was on point, and gave me easy-to-understand pricing options. The work itself was also perfect!I gave four stars instead of five because I think the after-hours upcharge of $90 above the standard service fee is a bit excessive, and even if you pay for their annual membership that only takes off about a third of that. I was also surprised at how expensive a labor-only repair was. The work was great, but the cost leaves a bit to be desired.

Carlos came to troubleshoot why my evaporative cooler system was not working. Communicated clearly and thoroughly and diagnosed and fixed the problem. Would recommend highly!

We came home from vacation to find a backed up drain that kept us from doing laundry. Golden West was able to send Phillip out to our house within 2 hours. The service was reasonably priced - especially since it was late on a Saturday (we went with their standard pricing). Phillip did a great job, worked quickly, and was so neat! He brought his own carpet to protect the area from splatter and wore shoe covers. I didn't have any extra cleanup to do!

I was very happy to have found Golden West after 3 different plumbing companies were unable to fix my problem and 2 more never showed. It was a great experience from the start. Nicole in the office was friendly and had great communication between the plumbers and I. Golden West was able to make it out to my condo same day for an emergency. The plumber Rico was highly skilled and he jumped right in and completed the job effectively and efficiently. I contacted Golden West because our HVAC system was malfunctioning. Despite being in the middle of summer, when I'm sure they're busy, they came out to my house the same day I called, fixed what turned out to be my blower motor in my furnace, and did it in less than a few hours. Lamar was great! He explained the overall process of what would be involved in the replacement and installation of the furnace and the air conditioning unit. Lamar emphasized the need to contact Golden West in the spring to get the a.c.running. Lamar went above all expectations in the removal of and installation of the air conditioner, including dealing with an unknown wasp hive!Manny installed the furnace, as he and Lamar worked exceptionally well together in dividing tasks. Their efficiency, including the third person (I apologize for not catching his name), allowed them to complete the job in one day! Manny was very helpful in showing me the specifics on the running and upkeep of the furnace and thermostat.I will ask for Lamar in the spring to do the air conditioner and any other time that I am in need of any HVAC services. When my pipes backed up in the bathroom, my boyfriend suggested that I call Golden West. It was a great recommendation! They sent Anthony Linares to solve the problem. Anthony was very polite, respectful, and knowledgeable. To start, Anthony had to find the clean out in my snow covered yard. He never complained and set right to work looking for it. He spent a good amount of time trying to recreate the back up and couldn't. He even asked to check the crawl space to make sure the pipes didn't find another way to drain. Yikes! No luck. Try as he might, the clog seemed to have resolved itself. I ended up just paying for a $36 service call. Whew! He could have run his machine through the line and charged me a lot more. Rather he showed great integrity and said he felt like that was not the best plan. I was very impressed.When you need a repair, you never really know if you are paying for more than you really needed. I was expecting an expensive fix and ended up with just a service call. I feel like that rarely happens. He could have easily told me that he needed to do more and he didn't.I would absolutely recommend Golden West and Anthony when your pipes act up. Called early in the morning after the furnace stopped working overnight. They were able to send someone out that morning - Anthony was on time, identified and communicated what the issue was and the solutions/timing for getting replacement parts and completed the work on time. Super nice guy, great work and much appreciated!Update - Unfortunately this year our furnace was having some issues and after the inspection it was determined we needed a whole replacement (it was almost 20 years old so not a big surprise) In hindsight I wish the issues would have been discovered or presented themselves last year... regardless we had Anthony L this year helping us out and he was great. We had a new furnace the next business day and he spent some extra time on the inspection day getting the temp and settings dialed in to our preferences. Obviously having to replace the furnace was a bummer, but we had a great experience overall.

Wonderful! We called on a Sunday because our furnace stopped working in below freezing temperatures and with a newborn baby at home. Bill was able to find an available technician to help us out. Rico was pleasant, timely, and honest. We had a surprise fix needed after discovering a leak in our crawlspace and Rico was there the same day to help us out with a clean up crew and came back the very next day(a Saturday) to repair our sump pump. Used them a year ago, service was great. This year I had the AC go out again. I've been without AC for 3 weeks. The soonest they could schedule me was 3 weeks out. I agreed to wait because I thought they were good. Yesterday I called to confirm my appointment for today. Today i got a call 1 hour into my service window saying they had to cancel and couldn't fit me in for another week. Don't take the appointment if you can't do the work!

We called Golden West for a very stressful a/c situation where water was leaking into our utility room. Our tech was Anthony who came out Monday afternoon and tried to fix the problem with the a/c until we realized it was a larger problem than we originally thought. He came back early Wednesday morning for the larger fix and also was nice enough to take a look at my swamp cooler which has been disconnected for the past two years. Sewer related problems are never fun - especially the costs involved. However my experience working with Golden West Plumbing was excellent - from beginning to end. Jose (the lead) and his team Alex & Felix were timely, courteous, friendly, and kept the job site orderly and clean. Working out & through the details of the job - Jose was an active listener - he always fielded my questions & concerns, he proactively kept me informed on how the job was going, and always interacted with me and executed the job in a professional manner. Jose also made sure everything was left to my satisfaction - returning to the house to ensure the re-lay of the carpet was done to completion when we experienced a minor hiccup with the carpet re-stretching. As a reviewer of this company, I cannot speak to their cost competitiveness. Due to the timeliness of this job - I did not get several quotes as I normally do with house projects. However, regarding the customer service and overall experience - Jose & his team went above and beyond my expectations and that to me is worth a lot.

I was looking to replace an old furnace at my home and was getting independent bids form different companies. I chose Golden West based on their excellent rating. Cris V. came first to give me an estimate. He was very punctual, knowledgeable and motivated to find best product that would suit our needs. He was very knowledgable about different brands and not insisting on a particular brand like all other contractors. I accepted his offer and he scheduled installation within 24 hours. Chris V. and Gabe W. came on time the following day on time. Furnace and thermostat were installed without glitches while the old furnace was removed. Our home was left in immaculate condition although he and other crew member had to go out and in many times. We recently had an issue where our hot water heater stopped working. I called Golden West and they sent Brendan out to help. He was very friendly and courteous. Based on the age of the hot water heater, replacing it was the best option, and he helped me understand the options for new hot water heaters, and graciously answered my many questions about each. He got the new hot water heater installed that afternoon and it's been working perfectly since.

We had a broken air conditioner. Jason the technician arrived promptly at the beginning of the window after calling us to let us know if his arrival. He was very knowledgeable (I know because I’m an engineer). He communicated all of our options very well. Answered all of my questions thoughtfully and worked diligently on completing the repairs. If you have a broken air conditioner in 100 degree weather as we did, this is the guy you want. The fact they take calls 24/7 is great too.

In the middle of two snowstorms with single-digit temperatures, Chris came right away and ended up replacing my 63-year-boiler in 1.5 days with the help of two coworkers. Chris was great. He gave me options and didn’t try to up sell. He provided space heaters and was very knowledgeable and communicative. They even cleaned up the mess when all done. These guys specialize in customer service. I didn’t really have time to comparison shop. Do to be totally honest, cost seemed high, but I didn’t get other quotes.

Professional and personable. Brendan is obviously an expert at his job, and he went above and beyond in making the sure the job was done right. We had a tankless water heater installed and a furnace exhaust redo and I couldn't be more pleased. I was always aware of when they would be arriving and there was excellent communication throughout the process, and now we're planning our next job for them!

Jose is amazing! He has worked on three different plumbing issues at our house ranging from a complicated behind the wall shower issue to replacing a gasket in our sink. Golden West was simply great. Our indirect water heater was leaking badly and they scheduled me for the next day but ended up making it out there day of, replacing the water heater and multiple other outdated pumps and incorrectly installed pieces. Andy Explained each part of the estimate and stayed past 5:45 to finish the job and walk me through each of the components and how to work the valves and temperature settings on the indirect water heater. Absolutely excellent company - very responsive and professional. Both times we made service calls, Carlos came quickly and immediately assessed and resolved our issues. Their trip charges are reasonable and are fairly applied to the service. Carlos is our go-to guy and we have repeatedly recommended him and Golden to others.I should add that our air conditioner had stalled on a Saturday two hours before 50 guests were showing up for a college graduation party. Carlos was at the door within 40 minutes of our call and had it fixed in plenty of time for the party. He literally saved the day!

So my furnace went out during these record breaking cold temperatures. I called the original place who installed my furnace to get someone to come out. After not showing up to the appointment because the guy slept in & then still wanted to charge me the emergency fee when he said he would come right before his scheduled shift was supposed to start, I told them to forget it. I called Golden West at 4:30 am desperate & scheduled an appointment for that afternoon. They called me few hours later & said they had a cancellation & they could come sooner. Carlos & his apprentice showed up around 10 am. The were both so friendly, respectful & compassionate to the situation. After giving me a couple quotes & told me the problem they started work. Andy was great. He came very quickly after we woke up to a leaking upstairs HVAC. He diagnosed the problem and helped solve it the least expensive way knowing we were on a tight budget. Wonderful experience over all. Anthony did great. You can probably find cheaper options but when it comes to mu home, quality and service go a long way.

Phillip came out 6/2018 and did a great job for the 99.00 clean out we do this on prevention . But watch out for thier ' book': pricing for other work. I had my kitchen drain cleaned and he needed to put a plastic T clean out. $1.30 part cost at home depot and was $300.00 ouch a really bad deal! But it's done. Total cost $406.00 and on site 1 hr 5 minutes. This is not Phillips fault but golden west gotcha pricing. So this review is 3 for the company and 5 for Phillip.StanRick and Jose arrived and quickly got to work and were very professional and did a quick and efficient job. I paid what was quoted $99.00. Brendan Franklin was my service tech today, and if you have a boiler system, he is your man! Not only did he perform the various repairs timely and cleaned up after himself, he took the time to ensure the system was performing correctly and educated me on where to shut things off it needed so that I can still have some functionality without making a bad situation worse. This company has sent nothing but pros to my house, and Brendan well represents them while also having the best interest of the customer in mind. They are fully aware that if you don't feel taken care of, that you won't be calling back. So do yourself a favor and give them a chance if you are looking for a company that will be there for you in the long run.

Jason Royster is by far the most knowledgeable and thorough technician I’ve ever worked with. That includes not just HVAC services, but other trades as well. He provided us with every option available for a solution to our boiler issue and a detailed quote for each. We are currently mulling over the options, but when we arrive at a decision I wouldn’t let anyone else come do the work. Very personable and effective at communicating issues in layman terms too. Maybe not the cheapest company you can find, but when it comes to health and safety, quality of work should be held to the highest standard. I would recommend Golden West in general, however, more specifically would request Jason to do the work if you’re having boiler or hot water issues, especially in regards to Carbon Monoxide problems.

Jose was excellent on educating us on our with our plumbing issue at our home residence. He was was able to come in diagnosis what was happening and able to resolve the plumbing issue we were having. Our main drain was clogged due to tree roots. I called at 7:30a.m. to have someone come to my home. At about 9:00 Jose arrived. I explained I had an appointment at 11:00 that I could not cancel. He was very understanding and went right to work. Less than 30 minutes he had the drain cleared. He suggested I have some more extensive work done to keep the problem from recurring. He gave me estimates for 3 different solutions. Jose was very professional, courteous and efficient. I have used Applewood for many years but sometimes it is difficult to get them to my home as quickly as this Golden West was here. Jose even gave me his card with his personal phone number in case my husband or I have any questions. Jose rocks.

Last summer my air conditioner went out and Carlos Luna and his associate Brandon installed a new one for me. Carlos explained in detail what size air conditioner I would need to cool my home.This year when I went to turn the air conditioner on, I was having difficulty getting it to start up. I called and asked if Carlos was available and he was sent to my home. Carlos went through my AC system step by step checking a variety of things to make sure each was in good working order. Carlos walked me through these steps and explained what he was doing. He said these steps can help a homeowner pinpoint a problem if the AC will not turn on. This additional guidance and support was greatly appreciated by me and my family as it was an extremely hot day and we had just arrived home from being out of town. i know Carlos was finished with his regular day and should have been on his way home, but he still took the time to stop by and make certain my AC was in good working order and was not malfunctioning.Carlos was the ultimate professional, was very polite and accommodating and is why I asked for him to be sent to my home again.

Jose with Golden West came out on the early end of my service window and did an excellent job installing a new toilet for us. He and his team were very quick and friendly! I highly recommend them.

We recently used Golden West Plumbing when we found out our toilet was leaking into our crawl space. Phillip came out the night we found the leak and examined the situation. He clearly laid out all of our options and was very helpful and knowledgable! Throughout the whole experience Phillip was amazing! He was always available if we needed him, and the work was completed quickly and very well done!

Hope their scheduling is usually more on-point than what I received. Full story below.Jose came out early afternoon to take a look at some ground that collapsed around my sewage line. He was incredibly respectful of my time and the work I was doing while they were performing the inspection.Very professional and thorough with the inspection of my sewage pipe. He explained the charges in a straightforward manner and showed me the live feed as they inspected the full-length of the sewage line.The only complaint I have about everything is that I was scheduled to have someone arrive from 8AM to 12 PM. While the company did a good job of keeping me updated about the time (2 phone calls, each with a more specific time), they were only able to get someone to my house around 12:40 PM. This could very much have been because of a busy morning, but would this be frustrating for anyone who had scheduled time off while someone was at their house.

Tech diagnosed the problem with my zone valve and provided a quote for the fix. I asked if I could fix it myself, and he went out of his way to explain how, saving me hundreds. It's delightful that Golden West isn't just trying to push their services. I'm sure most repairs require an expensive professional, but when they don't it's nice to have a company that will help you to the best solution.

Ben was wonderful to work with! He was timely, communicative, friendly and knowledgable! He also wore a mask and kept his distance which really put us at ease. He quickly resolved the issue were were having and walked us through next steps in case we had any problems in the future. I'd highly recommend Ben and Golden West.

Our furnace was only functioning intermittently, Chris came to our rescue the day after I called and honored our VIP service purchase. His continual reassurance and professionalism was comforting, he came out the day after I called and found the two items on our furnace that needed adjustment. Golden West Plumbing is an outstanding company! Came out quickly to assess our sewer line break. Helped us understand the repair process, costs and contacted a restoration company for us, as well. Assisted with starting our insurance claim too. In a totally overwhelming situation, Golden West was like family, helping us through a difficult situation. Highly recommend. We couldn't be happier with our experience with Golden West! Anthony and Alan went above and beyond to replace our water heater and make sure it was running properly. They even stayed well past (what should have been) time for them to go home. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

The technician who came out was very pleasant to work.with. he quickly looked over my furnance and water heater, and gave several options for fixing. It was very stressful for me but he walked me through everything and made sure I was comfortable with the options I had and offered follow up help for the next day to deal with one problem that required different treatments. Overall I was very happy with the service I received from Mr. C Luna.

Our furnace went out overnight, while it was 20-30 degrees outside. I called at 7:45am and was pleasantly surprised when Gabe was able to make it to our house by 9:20am! He was efficient and honest and was able to diagnose the problem within minutes. This was our first time with this business and I would definitely recommend.

Being a tradesperson, I found Ben Pitcher to be above and beyond the others I have interacted with here in Denver. Well done, Golden West, for employing such an upstanding, knowledgeable, personable human being.

I am giving a 3 star review instead of a 1, because the technicians were polite. Other than that, stay away unless you want to pay a premium. Scheduled a tech to clean a main line same day as call. Because the tech ran into an issue and rescheduled for after hours, I was charged more. Tech even acknowledged that you pay a premium price because of overhead of the company. I was offered a small discount..... if I paid for a membership with them. Quote for main line replacement with same warranty and same materials was double of 3 out of 4 other companies I called. I asked for a copy of the video they made of my main line, and I am still waiting on that for over a week now. Very happy I went with someone else. I will NOT be calling this company to touch anything in my house again.

July 2020 - Two very professional service calls by GW this week. Their technician Greg Smith, was polite courteous and extremely neat. He replaced a hose bib, toilet and replaced a leaking drain for the bathroom vanity sinks. To complete the last job he had to open up the wall to gain the needed access. he took the time to make the hole as neat as possible and preserve the tile so that it could be replaced.June 2018 - We really appreciated the service that Golden West provided when our sewer pipes backed up on a Saturday night. Despite the late night call out Monica was understanding and got a technician out to us promptly who solved our problem. Jose was pleasant, courteous and efficient. Can't recommend them enough and will definitely call them next time we need work done.Highly satisfied in Littleton!

Carlos was great. Wore mask & covered shoes upon entering house. Explained issue clearly & provided options to resolve problem. No pressure to pick any one option. Worked quickly & quietly. Left no trace when finished. Overall great experience after sleepless night with no heat from furnace after ~11pm.

Our technician Mark went above and beyond yesterday- after having no heat or no hot water during a cold snap, the first company we brought in told our landlord that the furnace was leaking carbon monoxide and had to be replaced. Mark came in the same day (6 pm) and stayed until midnight cleaning our furnace and making it safe to use. We can't recommend this company enough, we were thoroughly impressed with the service and the professionalism. Thank you so much, Mark! You were great!

Brendan was amazing. He went above and beyond the call of duty. My AC unit was leaking water this morning. Not only did he fix the problem (and get stung by a wasp in the process), but he also gave me advice on the life of my appliances and which ones need to be replaced.
