Best Home Wiring in Chicago IL
Sims & Sons is the absolute best. After getting an outrageous and confusing quote to repair two outlets from another electrician I called Sims for a second opinion. They came out right away, explained what was going on and got the work done quickly and for a very fair price. Don’t go anywhere else.

My walk-in closet went through an extreme makeover. Everything looks awesome! HandiCo was super quick! They were able to do everything in one day, were gone by the time I got home from work. Great work as usual! HandiCo staff are always very friendly and helpful. Thanks!

I was doing a renovation when COVID hit. At that time I converted my pantry to a laundry room. Fast forward a year and a half and I can finally make it a working laundry area. But come to find out the contractor I hired did not connect the splice for the gas line. It's a year and a half later so what can I do? I called after doing a google search for gas inspection and lucky for me Roxanne arranged for Manny to come out same day. He was able to connect the gas line properly and now I can use my new washer and dryer. Thank you!! I'm so glad it wasn't a gamble.

Hard Pass.First time I had fixer over, their electrician was supposed to install a smart thermostat. He didn't shut off the power to part of the unit and fried the motherboard. Had to call Deljo to come fix it emergently.- This cost 700-800 bucks. Fortunately they cut me a check for the replacement board. I still had to pay labor.Second time I had them over, I asked for 2 things.1) Change the lightbulb above a stair case (they did great) 2) I asked them to fix a 3-way switch that wasn't working properly.- The 3 way switch should've taken less than hour to fix. Fixer charged me for 2.5 hours @ 139/hr ~$350 + fees and didn't fix the switch a 3-way as requested.Instead (accidentally took my Lutron smart switches) and replaced the 2 way switch with... a 2 way switch.Had to argue w/ them some to get a reduced rate of 2 hours. Had to argue more to get it reduced to 1 hour.I think they mean well, but honestly the items should be sold as per job basis instead of hourly. If your electrician/fixer doesn't have the necessary supplies to get the job done or takes too long for a specific job, why should I be responsible for it.Also I fell that the $139/hr fee is too high. Many contractors/electricians charge ~75/hr on average for these simple jobs. ie less than half of fixers rate and typically much more efficient.First time they messed up, I bit my tongue since I got a check for the cost of their error and I understand things happen. As they say: fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.Won't be making the mistake of hiring them again.
