Handico cut/installed trim for 8 custom window, 2 door trims and baseboards for me in June 2022. Tom did a fantastic job and is very pleasant to work with as he truly loves what he does for a living! The owner, Joe, is a man of great integrity and fully stands behind their work, which is very reassuring to me because it says alot about him as a business owner. I also previously hired them to install quarter-round moulding in my home and Tom did an excellent job with that, also. They are definitely on my go-to list for home improvements/repairs

Joe and his crew are great! I called to schedule an entire condo painting and a long list of handiwork. His team was very prompt every day. On day 1 his team and I walked our entire condo going over each item of work to ensure they understood what was needed. The paint job was awesome.The entire condo painting top to bottom and handiwork was finished in less than a week. Felt like it was a new condo at the end! I just called them again to do electrical work and schedule work the next day. Great group and great work!

Joe, Pablo and Demond were great to work with. They painted my place and repaired some smaller issues before I listed my place. I was so comfortable I left town while they did the work and arrived home to my place looking great. They are friendly, knowledgeable and I'd use them again.

We hired Handico to help us with our kitchen renovation (just completed in May 2021) for the demolition part. (The company we bought cabinets and countertops from only does installs). This our third time working with Handico for different household repairs/projects. The previous two times turned out great, so we had no hesitation calling them for this job.Working with Joe to set up the dates and the work to be done was easy… all over the phone, with some images shared via email. Since Handico works on a time-and-material basis (ie hourly rate), it really makes arranging the work so much easier (in my opinion, anyway).We needed the following done: (1) Take down and remove all existing cabinets and counter tops, (2) remove the soffit that the upper cabinets were anchored to, (3) patch-up where the soffit used to be, and other areas as needed, (4) relocate electrical outlets for the range and Microwave hood, (5) hook up new plumbing to the new sink. Joe was very keen to our needs; he even sent one of his guys over to check the soffit as an “advance scout” to eliminate any surprises and secrets the soffit may be hiding (it turned out to be empty). Joe also requested the drawings and spec sheet of our new kitchen provided by the cabinet company to ensure that the area is properly prepped. He definitely knew what needed to be done.The work: Joe sent Luis to tackle the job. While a 2nd guy came aboard to help with the demo, Luis was clearly the guy in charge. Luis was very professional and he knows his trade very very well. I’ll try to attach some pictures to show what was done. Whenever possible, Luis would ask what needed to be asked. When necessary, Luis would pull me aside and explain what he needed to do. And when I wasn’t catching on, Luis was also very patient with me. I did my best to stay out of his way.In the end, Luis and Handico left the site how it needed to be. The day after, our Cabinets were installed uneventfully. Not a single complaint from the installers. The upper cabinets were mounted where the soffit used to be. Base cabinets were put in. All cabinets were cut out for new plumbing and outlets; perfectly placed by Luis the day before. Aside from the fact that we discovered my walls aren’t square (typical for a home built in 1949), the whole project went without a hitch. Luis did come back to finish the plumbing after the sink and countertops were put in. Handico delievered!This was definitely a big job. While I can’t say it was stress-free (hey, it’s still a kitchen reno), I couldn’t be any happier on the end result. And without Handico, it wouldn’t have turned out the way it did. We will hire them again in the future.Oh yeah, the Cabinet people were great, too… but that’s for a different review.

I've used Handico for several years and have always been very happy with their work. They're my go-to for any home maintenance needs. They're dependable, reasonably priced, professional, courteous, and thorough.

I can't say enough good things about Joe and his team. Demond installed a challenging kitchen backsplash and it came out great. I appreciated that Demond made a couple of style and color recommendations. I took his suggestions (brushed nickel outlet covers!) and the backsplash looks incredible. Hire these guys. They're on time, they communicate well, and they know what they're doing.

Joe and his team are a breeze to work with. Joe is extremely responsive and offers reasonable pricing. We did a partial remodel of our kitchen and some other small house projects that needed done. Pablo led the project and he was so pleasant to work with. Always on time, professional, and prepared. We are converting our downtown loft into a full time rental and will be using HandiCo for any home repairs that arise in the future.

Handico showed up on time and fixed a hole in our bathroom ceiling beautifully (i.e., looks good as new). Will definitely be using again!

This is the second time my husband and I have used Handico and we continue to be extremely pleased with the service, quality, and professionalism. I was one-week out from my due date when our neighbor's washing machine leaked into our ceiling directly across from the nursery. Although it wasn't a true emergency, Joe still got someone out right away so we could have peace of mind before the baby arrived. I reached out to the company and scheduled an appointment. I indicated to them that my building required forms to complete and I had some questions on my project. They never answered any of my questions even when I called them, they said they would get back to me later and never did. When I cancelled they then made an excuse that it must have hit their spam. Pretty convenient it stops hitting your spam box when I cancel

This is the second time our Condo Assoc. has used HandiCo and we are extremely happy with the results. It is very easy to schedule an appointment online and I like the fact you can attach pictures to the request. The reply from Mike was very prompt and the work was scheduled quickly. Tom, the carpenter, came about and after a short meeting with him, he took care of the work with no problems. He did a nice job of explaining different options for fixing our front gate and it turned out great. The gate finally stays closed !!!!We will be using HandiCo on future work for our Assoc. and I will definitely use them for work in my unit. I've been using Handico for the past few years for all kinds of work - plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc. They are always on-time, professional, competent and trust worthy. I never question using them. I had a great experience using HandiCo to fix an issue with my Kitchen Sink. Setting up the appointment was extremely easy through their web site. They did an excellent job of explaining to me the best way to fix the problem and then implementing the solution. They arrived on time and completed the job in a timely manner and made sure to clean up after themselves. I love working with Handico. We've referred several clients to them who have done electrical and handy work. Recently I used them to fix something in my home and Mike and Tom were great. I wasn't home at all but we were communicating via phone. He called to give me updates and inform me on everything he was doing.I would definitely use them again and refer them to whomever is needing handy work done in their home.

HandiCo is a go-to resource for us for just about any home repair or need. They have done a great job for us staining our deck and adding a gas fire pit, repairing drywall and painting after a water damage issue, as well as small projects including securing bookshelves, changing light fixtures, and fixing sink drains. They are great with communication via phone and email and have always been friendly and flexible.

My husband and I are currently living out of the country but still own a property in Chicago, which we rent. We needed some work done for our new tenants and hoped to find a company we could trust to do the work in our absence. HandiCo. far exceeded all expectations. We were able to schedule an appointment, communicate our needs, and be sure that the work was going to be completed to a high standard. Our tenants are happy and so are we. We will continue to reach out to HandiCo. whenever we may have work that needs doing!

We had an some minor issues with our toilet and some bi-fold doors in our hallway plus an additional issue with a shower door handle coming loose. The service has a two hour minimum and an hourly charge thereafter plus materials. Handico came highly recommended so we were optimistic that these annoying household issues would be solved. The servicemen first tried to fix several of the issues (rather than replacing them), a decision I likely wouldn't have chosen myself given the ease and relatively cheap cost of replacement but I trusted the guy to do his job, thats why we called! After unsuccessfully trying to repair several issues, he wasn't able to, so he ended up replacing the door track and doing his best to tighten the shower handle. The total bill was much higher than it should've been due to the time spent initially trying to repair things. We brought up our concerns to HandiCo and they were super responsive and appreciative of our business and feedback. You could tell they not only cared a lot about delivering the best quality service but also that the customers were left feeling good about the value. THAT is the true sign of a good business and why we will give them another chance next time. The servicemen was so disheartened and clearly a young guy in training, he will be great one day and we are happy to work through his growing pains, especially when you get management who is as incredible as these guys are. In the end we got the issues in our home solved and the bill was cut more than in half. These guys were timely, communicative, respectful, and DID fix the bulk of what was needed, it just took them a bit longer than anticipated, an issue they owned up to immediately and made us whole for. Two thumbs up, we will be using them again!

We needed a full length mirror and several pictures hung. The handyperson arrived on time and was very friendly. He made several suggestions for the best location for hanging our items and was in and out in no time at all. We would definitely use HandiCo again!

I have used HandiCo in the past and they just finished a job in our condo on 10/24/2017. Mike, Tom, and their team members are great. Tom gave a call letting us know he would be late due to the rain and traffic (which was much appreciated). When he arrived, Tom was a great help putting up a curtain rod and doing some bathroom work. I will always use HandiCo for jobs as they are great at what they do.

These gentlemen were punctual, professional and hard working. The work was A+ and they left our condo neat and clean. They had to patch cracks in the ceiling (high rise) and each patch was done perfectly. They might not be the least expensive option (although they were not the highest quote, either). However, they are worth a bit more money based on the quality of service you will receive. I will gladly hire them again and recommend them to friends.

I had a water staining on the ceiling of my downstair's bathroom. Mike from HandiCo was super quick to get back to me and set up an appointment. The repairman, friendly and on time (which is rare) not only was thorough while he was detecting where the leak was coming from, he limited the amount of damage done to my unit. He found the source (an upstairs toilet) and repaired it. They came back later to ensure that the leak was indeed solved and that everything was dry to repair the ceiling. After the fix, you wouldn't even know any damage had even occurred. Flawless repair, from the drywall to the painting. While it is a little more pricey than I was wanting, it was worth it for the level of quality they provided. I'd definitely go with HandiCo the next time I have any home repair needs.

We recently purchased a condo and had a number of jobs we needed taken care of in the place. Tom from Handico arrived promptly on time, was very professional and did a high quality job. he was even able to fix our existing disposal so we could return the new one we purchased. What a fantastic job helping with a project that required them to show off a little. I had a stain glass built into the house that I needed removed. I've used them two or three times now. The repair guys are prompt, courteous, very professional and extremely efficient. They work quickly but flawlessly. I've had them do electrical work, change bulbs, replace fixtures, etc. They always get the job done efficiently. Demond M., Drew and Tom are the technicians I have used and they have always done fantastic work. Handico is a bit expensive though, but relative as the work is top notch! :-)

I have now used HandiCo several times with positive results. This time, they patched a hole in a plaster wall and primed, matched and replaced a piece of aluminum capping near the roof line, and grouted a shower. The total came to $550 with supplies which seems reasonable. The work was all done in one day, just a few days after I called. The site was cleaned up nicely.

I have used HandiCo Inc. for many jobs and they always do fantastic work. They offer complete perfection. Each job has been completed with true excellence. I had HandiCo identify and fix a leaky window issue. HandiCo sent one of their employees who had extensive window experience and was very helpful identifying the issue and providing multiple options for fixing the leak. This was the third time using the HandiCo services and would highly recommend them to anyone needing household construction services.

So impressed with this company. I dropped a necklace of great sentimental value down the bathroom sink and they came out to help within the hour. Their plumber, Demayne, opened the pipe, retrieved my necklace, put the pipe back together, left the place spotless and even cleaned the necklace off for me. They will be the first company I call whenever I am in need of these kind of services. Excellent customer service.

We needed a bunch of odds and ends completed and couldn't do them ourselves. This included moving a large china cabinet down a narrow staircase. When the task was too big for one person, Demond was quickly and easily able to get a colleague to come by and assist for no extra charge. He courteously and quickly completed tasks like mounting a flat screen, installing a new kitchen faucet, etc. He also gave us some free advice as I was lamenting about being severely overcharged for some simple plumbing work through another company in the past. It was our first time using HandiCo but will certainly not be our last.

We had a great experience with Tom from Handico who fixed a longstanding problem with our toilet and then proceeded to tackle a number of small, but annoying, jobs around our very old home. He was on time and completed all the jobs in just over two hours. The total fee was just what they said it would be.We'll have them back to work on a number of other jobs as well.

Besides doing an excellent job, they always clean up after themselves...something you wish your kids could learn to do. Wish they served the North Shore as well!

Replacing a broken garbage disposal and corroded drain pipes.HandiCo did a great job for a very reasonable price. Scheduling went smoothly, and Demond arrived right on time. He was professional and personable, making me feel very confident that he would do the work well. I initially planned to just have the garbage disposal replaced, but he caught the corroded drain pipes and was very up front about the additional work. I had previously had a plumber out to bid on the work who was going to charge over $1,000 and was up selling me on a membership and additional work without giving a good sense of why I needed either. Demond did the work and got the materials (except the new disposal I already had) for just over $200 and rounded down on his time. I’d happily use them again, and will talk to my condo association about using them for other jobs in our buildings.

I've been using HandiCo for my handiman needs for the past eight years.This included building a fireplace mantle, general electrical work, plumbing, leak testing/diagnostic and repair, and other jobs I wasn't comfortable doing myself.HandiCo is very professional, the people they employ are skilled tradesman, not weekend handimen. They are always on time, courteous, thoughtful about not creating a mess around the house. Because they are so good, they are always busy, so sometimes it takes a few days or up to two weeks for them to send someone in, especially if you want a specific person that is already familiar with your house. They do not work weekends.They cost $88 an hour, min 2 hours, which is a bit on the high side, but in this business you mostly get what you pay for.

Our kitchen lights went out after we changed a bulb. We called HandiCo and got an appointment first thing the next day. They came, they saw, they repaired. No muss no fuss. This was our third experience with them and we have never had a problem.

As always, the tradesman who arrived was courteous, prompt, and skilled. Addressed all my concerns. Even noticed tub filler handle was loose when he was filling a bucket to test his installation and fixed that, too. Will continue to use them for all my landlord repairs.

I needed to replace the bottom third of my dry wall and related base board due to water a water leak. When the guys finished, you could not tell any work was done. The dry wall match and painting was perfect. And, they did not leave any mess.
