Best Geothermal Heating System in Chesapeake VA
I had been using Russell's and hadn't had an issue in the past. My blower motor went out on my Ac unit and I had no air. They told me they couldn't get out for 5 days. I called them back and requested an earlier date, stating that my young child would be at my house which was currently 92. They stated they'd be there the next day. The technician told me the part by itself would cost 1,400. I told them the part at max was 600. He told me It was much more expensive. He then told me for 1,400 he would add in the labor. I told them I would look elsewhere. I bought the part for 519 and fixed it myself. I've never worked on ac before and after watching a YouTube video it took me 25 minutes. So basically Russell's tried to charge me 1000 an hr in labor. I will not be using them in the future

RA Styron has installed two units in our home. Their customer service has been responsive and reasonably priced. Everyone that we have dealt with, from the initial quote and installation, to subsequent repairs has been great.
Our gas package unit needed a major repair which shut our heat off in January. They promptly ordered the parts in and the technician got the unit up and running in no time. We have utilized other HVAC companies and the competitors' business practices and service do not compare favorably with RA Styron at all. We are satisfied customers and highly recommend RA Styron.

My AC unit's compressor started to fail. Bud's did a great job analyzing my needs and presenting options for me. When I decided to replace the unit instead of repairing the unit they gave me several options and did no try to oversell. In the end I got a new Bosch system that is amazing. They were also able to schedule my install relatively quickly once I made my decision.
Best of all was their professionalism. It was great having techs, office personnel, and comfort advisors all willing to talk with me to help me get the information I needed each step of the way. Not once did I feel like they were in a hurry to get to the next customer. They went above and beyond explaining details and listening to my concerns. They even waived the off hours service call charge I had prior to my decision to replace the unit. Which I felt was more than fair.

This happened a year and a half ago, but I felt compelled to share my experience. I wish I could add a more favorable opinion of these folks. I came home from a tip to a cold house. Phoned A-1 and they came out to look at my Carrier furnace. They came out and did diagnose the problem. My furnace needed a small circuit board of some type. It was small and appeared to contain a couple of capacitors which should be pretty inexpensive parts. They had to order the part, which took over a week. I was told the service call would cost me $500.00 but that the cost of the part would come off my bill, to which I agreed, after all, it was January and my house was pretty chilly.
The part eventually came in (late) and the furnace came on. ..
I did not receive a receipt, describing what had been replaced. I phoned to ask for my paperwork and ended up speaking with a woman whose English was so poor, that I could not understand her very well )what happened to the American in A-1 American??? In fact the service tech's English was pretty poor as well.). Needless to say, nothing showed up in the mail. Phoned again and was assured that someone would call me back. I am still waiting for that call and have never received any paperwork describing the diagnosis and part that was ordered and what that part cost.
Poor service, poor communication and lack of an accounting as to what my $500 was used for are the reasons why I have rated A-1 as low as possible. Although my experience with these people is after-the-fact, this is what happened to me.
