I woke up this morning without heat despite having a new furnace. I called Sila and was very pleased to reach John. He came to my house within a very short time and quickly figured out the problem. He explained it to me clearly, told me what I could do if it happened again. He was professional and excellent. And, most importantly, John got the heat going again right away. The service is always terrific and today was another example.

I called Boston Standard knowing I had a leak in my freon lines that was not easy to detect. I am no idiot, and did all the basic troubleshooting myself, checked voltages, obvious leaks at both ends of the system, etc. I told the person over the phone that I had done all this and I would prefer for them to do a more detailed review. They arrived onsite and only repeated what I told them I had done. Then they said it would cost me $2000 to do a full leak check with no guarantees. I paid them 400$ for the visit only for them to leave with no answers. I found an alternative company who performed the leak check and was able to find the source in under 30 min and for less than $300.Essentially, they left me without answer and took my money anyways, they didn't do anything to help me understand more of my situation. They should refund me my money.Update: I was able to find and fix the leak by replacing my indoor evaporator for less than 2500. The employees here just know how to do the basics. If you have a real problem find someone else.
