I called Rich Matthews at the beginning of December to talk about replacing my ancient (1982) furnace and a water heater that was starting to hurt. Add in that I was trying to do it through Mass Save with a heat loan. Rich came out to my house on a Saturday to look at the job and give us the quote we would need to get the heat loan. He had the quote to me that same day via email and he dropped off a paper copy the next business day. He's forthright and honest and he started teeing up the special pieces we would need while we were waiting for the bank to approve the loan. He was very responsive the whole time and was good about giving me a call for updates.

Because of the jury-rigged nature of the old furnace, he told us it would take two days, possibly three, to get the old one out and the new furnace and water heater in. He replaced the water heater on day one so we wouldn't be without. Then he worked late on a Friday to get everything done right before the temperatures dropped down below 20. The new ductwork, venting, and drain for the condensate are all really well done. You can see the quality of his work. It is well below freezing outside, and this is the warmest my house has been since I bought it. He even came back after the install was complete to change an exterior fitting for the air intake because he wasn't happy with the part he had on hand when he did the job originally.

10/10 I would go back to Rich for any work I needed done.

Our heating system started blowing cold air so we called our usual plumber (who also does heating), but never received a return call after 24 hours. During that time period we also called someone else who was very highly rated and also never received a returned call. I then called Aquaflow who had some great reviews as well and Vincent called me back in about 45 minutes. He told me he could come out the next morning which was great and he even showed up exactly when he estimated that he would! He was very thorough and extremely knowledgeable and told me every thing he was checking out to diagnose the problem. Within a couple of hours the part that failed was replaced and I had heat again. I very much appreciate his quick response and the quality of work provided, especially during some 30 degree days in March. It's not fun to wake up to your house being 49 degrees, but thanks to Vincent we will be waking up much warmer tomorrow morning!

My water heater gave out at midnight last night. I was at a loss of who to contact for help. Rich Mathews was the first site to come up in my google search and I am so glad it did. He had great reviews and was local. I called right away and his wife was so nice and very helpful, Rich called back in 5 minutes, we had a Face Time chat so he could see the area. He gave me a very reasonable price over the phone and within 30 minutes he and his wife were in my driveway with a new water heater. What a great guy and great company and great couple. His work is impeccable, they cleaned up after themselves and even gave me a couple of recommendations for some good restaurants.
