Good News and Bad News: The good news... They arrived within 1-hour of my call. I needed a shower control valve replaced.The bad news... The plumber quoted me a price of more than $1,100. When I asked him why so much (as I would cut and then replace the drywall), he told me that they use good parts, not the builder's grade junk that I had (I had a Delta faucet; junk that had worked fine for more than 16-years). He cut the old valve and capped the two lines for me. Charged me over $300 for about 1-hour's worth of work and $1.00 of parts.I later bought the new valve, rented the crimping tool from Home Depot, both for a little more $230. Installation, drywall repair and the two trips to Home Depot (had to return the rented tool) took about 3-hours. Including my time worth about $100/hr, I saved about $600 when compared to their quote.

I had a limb put a hole about the size of my fist in my roof over the garage this weekend. I called Mike this mourning and he was their within 30 mins. He fixed the hole, cleaned up the debris that was on my house and was finished within an hour. He did an excellent job and just seems to be a really down-to-earth guy. If I need some more work done around the house I will be giving him a call.

Installed extra insulation in attic and replace screening on attic vents. Removed old kitchen exterior vent and patched; repaired exterior storm damage to wall; installed exterior wire tv cable supports, repaired/replaced exterior trim boards.... just to name a few....generally got my honey-do list back under control. Team of 2, with good attention to detail. Courteous, quick and patient.
