Bill Howe Plumbing, Heating & Air, Restoration & Flood Services Plumber
I have used Bill Howe on all of the properties I manage since 2018. Last week a plumber named Brian Rice came by to install a new water heater for one of my multi-family properties. It was leaking and leaving 5 of my tenants without Hot water. Bill Howe quickly dispatched Brian to come to fix the problem. He replaced and installed a new water heater and got this one up to code. He was super quick and got hot water back to my tenants in just two hours! Brian was super kind and professional. I leave this review, so good work does not go unseen! Excellent job, Brian!!!

Ideal Plumbing Heating Air Electrical Plumber
My husband and I are an elderly couple and our air conditioner broke during the latest heat wave. I called Ideal because they had installed the unit many years ago. I was at first told that due to the heat, we could not be scheduled for a service call for a week but was offered the chance to move up if a cancelation occurred. The next day I got a call offering an appointment for the following day, which I happily accepted. Rene' was the service tech that arrived. He was WONDERFUL! He spent about 30 minutes checking and explaining to us what he found and attempting to fix the problem. Unfortunately, he was unable to repair the unit and we need a replacement but it was not for lack of trying on Rene's part. Kudos to his hard work. It's cooler now while we wait for our new air conditioner installation, but Ideal has gone above and beyond during this difficult time.

Point Loma Electric and Plumbing Plumber
I bought an EV and needed a dedicated 220-volt plug installed. I made an appointment and I was told the tech would be here to look at the job and complete it the same day if I approved. I told the person I talked to on the phone I work at 1030 each day so I needed them here early so I can get to work. The installer came, gave me a reasonable price, and said he couldn’t do the work that day. We made another appointment for the installation to be complete. The next appointment day I received a call around 0800 telling me my installers would be at my house in 30 to 45 minutes. I reminded her that I had work and I was told by the installer he would be here at 0800.An installer showed up with one of the leads to see what was going on and what they could do. The original tech that gave me the quote was not with them and he didn’t pass any information on. I explained what I needed, and they said they needed to order parts. My issue with this is I was told the parts were already being ordered and they would have them to install. A 3rd appointment was made. The lead told me they would be here at 0800 so I could get to work. I get a call at 0745 and the message said they would be here in 30 minutes. I called back after an hour and I was told they are at the warehouse getting parts. They had the job done in under 90 minutes. After they left I went to plug in the new charger and…….. the plug they installed was wrong. The lead took a picture of what plug I was using for my specific charger and said they would install that one.I called after I calmed down and they sent someone out as soon as they could. He came, I showed him what I needed, and he went off to the parts warehouse. He came back and installed the correct parts. He also had to re-do the work of the 2 guys here earlier that day, they didn’t run a 30 amp wire or something to that effect.Everyone I talked to was friendly, polite, and professional, just never on time and lacked communication. They were the only company that came up on home advisor for installing EV related things or I would have told them not to come back and I would have hired someone else. This took my whole day, I had to miss work at the , which cost me money. The reason for 2 stars is the last tech that came last had the integrity, and was honest enough, to fix something he saw wrong.

Carini Home Services Plumber
This is an email I sent Carini a few weeks ago. I got no apology response back:Hi Chanron,I have been waiting since 7am for a call from your office as I had an appointment this morning. I then called at 9:26am as I hadn’t heard from your office. I spoke to Betsy and was assured that I was next in line. Still didn’t hear anything back and after waiting the whole morning, just called again at 12:05pm.As you can expect, I am now outraged because my appointment was supposed to be in the AM, and I have been waiting the whole morning pushing and rescheduling all my appointments for later and later. In the second call at 12:05pm, I speak to Betsy again and am told that I’m the second client in La Jolla they were not able to reach today because of phone network issues.I would have really appreciated if the plumber was still sent to our home, given that I had called at 9:26am checking the status of the plumber letting the office know I was waiting. Also, I believe you have my email on file, and would have really appreciated an email if your phones were having issues today. This is not the first time we are experiencing scheduling and commitment issues with Carini, as for the last shower work we had, we were rescheduled twice with your office cancelling on us last minute, on the day of the appointment. This resulted in the shower being unfixed for 3+ months.I urge your office and business to value you clients’ time more, as many times we schedule our days around your appointments and even take days off of work for your appointments, especially when we are told that you cannot give us a specific appointment time, and instead just AM or PM and the best you can do is call us 30 minutes before as the plumber is on his way.I hope you, as a business, can put yourself in the shoes of the client and understand how upsetting this is. It is now past 12:30pm and the plumber is still not here.Thanks,______The plumber ended up coming at 5:30pm that day with the wrong part that I had already emailed them about as they reassured me if I sent a picture, they would bring in the right part. Plumber apologized about the wrong part and promised he would be back the next morning 8am-10am. So he came back the next day, surprise surprise, late again.

ProTec Building Services Plumber
No one showed up. No one cancelled with HOA or with homeowner. Richard Viets - no apology or explanation. [HOA contracted with ProTec to install new front door. On Wednesday of this week, Richard Viets Construction Supervisor emailed that he could install the door on Friday. I got time off work approved, and confirmed the appointment. Then, he didn't show up Friday morning. He did not call Homeowner. He did not call HOA. I called ProTec office and receptionist said the job was cancelled. HOA management is still trying to find out what happened.
