Misdiagnosed AC Issue and Recommended Unneeded Repair. James completely misdiagnosed the repair issue and told me my new thermostat was the issue and I needed a new one (confirmed I had installed the new thermostat correctly - said I got a bad thermostat). Was going to charge me $390 for a new basic thermostat installation. I refused. He then proceeded to hard sell me on the thermostat. He says he bypassed my thermostat and that the AC was running correctly. Issue was with the thermostat. Then charged me $124 for the service call. Called out another AC company who diagnosed the problem in under 2 minutes - a tripped float switch. Fixed it for a $50 charge. James even made disparaging remarks about JDK who I actually thought I had called for service not realizing Performance Air bought their client base.

Kevin L (and assistant) did a great job with our AC at our new home in Shore Acres. Thorough, informative, and completed all that was asked. Thanks.
