A number of interactions with different team members. Cody was great at assessing our initial issue, providing us with all options, and setting up our consultation with Troy. Troy was very thorough with our different options, explained all the pros and cons of each option, and educating us on the finer points of AC technology. Once we made our decision, Jeremy and his crew showed up and got to work right away. Very professional and thorough. The entire group that we dealt with left the impression that the company as a whole fosters a professional, positive, customer-first culture.

I cannot believe the number of positive reviews compared to critical reviews. We've used them for about a year for a new AC unit. The installation process was a complete mess that took over a week, it was promised within a day. Now it comes time for service / maintenance on the unit. They show up...late. Say it's fixed, next day...not working. And can't get anyone back for a couple days. Some will say, well you should change suppliers. Well that's difficult in that it will void our 10 year manufacturers warranty, or so we are told. It would be laughable if it wasn't so maddening. This company has some serious issues, at least for us.

Bait and switch is what happened today. I agreed to have them come and clear my drain for $180, and the guy came and said it's $280 to clear my drain from my roof, however, he doesn't want to clear it from the roof, therefore, it's $600 to clear it from my toilet. I said I agreed to $180 to clear my bath tub drain, and he said I won't clear your bathtub drain from the tub drain b/c I might break something. Look, long story short, clearly this business asks their guys to upset, even though I had agreed to $180. Then he says I owe $25, and I said I never heard of a $25 fee, and that the lady I scheduled with told me $79 to clear the drain from outside, and 179/180 if they come inside, and this is wrong.

I was told that the technician would call 45 minutes before arriving… I got a text at 7:32 saying the technician was on the way and technician didn’t arrive until 2 hours later… I was supposed to just get hvac maintenance for a ac unit that was working properly! Now I’m left with no ac because they want to tell me some wires on the outside are broke and I have to pay over $400 to fix it!!!!!! Everything was working fine before they came!!! I just had a electrical panel replaced and all of that was looked at and was fine then! They also didn’t check my ducts for anything as they say is part of their maintenance. I would not recommend calling this company they over charge and will break your equipment!

Great experience. Ben was knowledge and answered all my questions. And the best part is that he was here last year and told me I did not need a system (yet). He got me one more year out of our old systems. They are looking for long term customers and it shows. I highly recommend Performance AC.

I always try to do an honest review. I usually wait until all services are completed for an accurate review. There is one more item needing completion, but I feel confident they will follow through!Installation was done on the day promised. I contracted on Sunday and it was installed on Monday. They were very professional and clean. I would give them a 5 star on installing.Billing was easy. Paying with a credit card was convenient and also gave me a digital record that came in handy later. There were several discrepancies in billing that some people may have overlooked if not diligent in reviewing the bill and the signed contract. All discrepancies were corrected! I would give billing a 3 star rating.Communication: Troy stayed in touch when questions were raised., but communication between installer and management led to u v light not installed as contracted. Had I not questioned if it was installed, I think it would not have been done!I also contracted for a 2” filter box. It was installed but was set up for a 1” filter. The installers need to come back and remove the 1” rack so that it will accept a 2” filter.City Inspection: The city has to do a final inspection. A date was set and the inspector gives you an 81/2 hour window. He was a no show! Performance has to reschedule with no guarantee of him showing up. Be prepared to be frustrated and waste your time because YOU have to be present! No word yet on next inspection date.In conclusion, I would recommend Performance.

I was very pleased with the quality of worked performed by James with regards to my electrical inspection. He found some issues in the attic, explained what needed to be done, took before & after pictures, and corrected the issues. Performance Air is lucky to have an employee like James who is knowledgeable in what he does.

I’ve been using Performance AC for the last couple of years for AC and Plumbing. They have always been great. This time my plumbing backed up and Austin came out to fix it for me. Not only he got the job done quickly, he also did a diagnostic to show me why my plumbing backs up once in a while and a possible solution. We were having air quality issues in our house and noticed some mold on the existing air filtration system in our air conditioner. We called Performance Air. Ben Tibbs came out and accessed the situation. He was very professional and explained everything in a manner that was easy for us to understand. I was afraid we'd have to buy a new system since ours is getting up there in years, but to my delight, he was able to fix it. He cleaned the entire system, installed a UV light, and replaced the filters. Our A/C system is working great again. My husband's and son's allergies have cleared up at home. I couldn't be happier!

I contacted Performance to get an estimate for repairs to a the air conditioning in a small commercial space. They were able to send a tech out the next day. Beau was professional and able to explain the options and pricing we had, and set up a free estimate for replacing the unit. So far, a good experience working with this business.

Troy was incredible. Explained that the company was doing their best to protect the clients and their associates so he would be exercising more caution than normal in his interactions. He explained everything he would be doing then explained again what needed to be done to mitigate anything that needed attention on our AC system. Is a no star review even possible? I have been party to the horror story of dealing with this company for what was proposed to be a resolvable circumstance in a kitchen. Day#1 a Tech comes out with a fancy camera along with a fancy $$$ to scope out the issue and says it can be done. Day #2 The Plumbing tech comes out. He's there a better part of the day and all said & done did not resolve the issue. When questioned it was stated it is residual water causing the continued leak. I don't know but ..... my common sense says when you fix a leak you fix a leak. No leaking later that day or the next day. Not to mention if you didn't fix the leak properly, you get your people back out there to fix it ASAP, not give the run around. It appears they are now on something like Day 5 of trying to resolve this. They say they'll been there then aren't, call they can come but they are already 2 hrs late, then what people have other things going on & to tend to. This sounds like by far the worst plumbing experience possible and Not what I was used to dealing with in the company that they took over a few months ago. Sad, sad, sad.

Chris is a professional and thorough sales epresentative with a great personality. We appreciated his honesty and his integrity. We also love the monthly fee annual service plan which gives us 2 services per year for 19.00 a month which includes plumbing and electrical inspections and other services.

When he found issues or concerns he explained what they were in easy to understand terms. He did a thorough job and was very courteous and neat. We had a new unit (condenser, compress, new duct work, basically everything) installed less than 5 years ago. It has now broken down on us twice, complete and total failure of the unit. We were enrolled in their service maintenance plan as well, scheduled the proper maintenance as advised and most of the time they never showed or tried to reschedule same day (total waste of money and time). The real coup de grâce, we had maintenance service on the unit from there $59 Seasonal Tune-up Special (NO BREAKDOWN GUARANTEE) on 6/27 - nothing wrong with it, just wanted it serviced for the summer. On 6/29 the AC started to fail, would not get below 78 and constantly ran. They came back out on 6/30 and fixed it only for it to completely fail on us today, 7/10. Called in for the advertised same day service - it doesn't exist - so we'll enjoy our hot box of a house until they decide integrity is a business principle they actually want to practice.

I just wanted to let everyone know at your company that Derek did a great job of fixing our A/C unit. I would encourage others to get the maintenance agreement so that you are covered for any emergencies as they always occur after hours and this gets a tech out to your house right away. Derek got us up and running after a power surge took our 2 year old unit out. He explained what we needed and did an excellent job of getting the job done in a timely manner. I will admit that my past experience with your company was not as good since the tech did not show till the next day, but this service calll has totally changed my mind about your company. I work for a local plumbing company and I know what good customer service is. Your after hours personnel in the office also did a great job and I received timely updates and phone calls on the status of receiving service. I have confidence in this company and would highly recommend them!!!!

Just an observation. I called this company to do a simple sink install because quite frankly I was busy. I expected a bill or a bill and a half. I was quoted nearly FIVE HUNDRED dollars. The job took me less than half an hour (an hour if you count the trip to home depot) and 30 dollars in materials. 30 minutes and 30 dollars. They quoted nearly 500. I guess some pay that and are happy...just watch out for outrageous prices. They get 3 stars because the guy came out was nice and polite, not pushy, and tried to give an awkward I know we are expensive and here's why...but still...

We were in need of a new ac system and we researched several companies serving Pinellas County. We chose Performance Air Conditioning Services because of their professional certifications, their honesty and reputation. We recommend them above all others. Chris Garris did a superb job of designing our system and giving us options to chose from. He was extra patient with all of our questions, even coming back on a weekend for follow up questions. Justin and Jeremy were the guys who did the system installation. These two arrived on time and went right to work. They were professional, knowledgeable and did an outstanding job in every respect, working as an efficient team. When finished they thoroughly explained all the components, including setting up the Wi-Fi thermostat, how to change the electronic filter, and other practices between scheduled maintenance. The work area was cleaned up like they had never been there. Team Justin and Jeremy are tops. You can't find any installers better than Justin and Jeremy.

Casey did our maintenance a week or so ago and he was very polite, took all precautions wearing mask and booties and explained everything he did. This company always keeps track of the maintenance visits and calls to schedule which takes off the worry of forgetting to do so.Today we had to place an emergency service call because one of our units stopped cooling. We got a visit within 4 hours, Robert J. was our technician and he was very couteous, wore his mask and quickly took care of the main issue that was preventing our AC from cooling.

I used this company for about 4-5 months. I signed up for their membership. I had to continue to call them for repairs. The technician was basically putting a band aid on the job. Another company fixed it and my AC worked great. I called Performance to speak with the manager and get a refund on multiple unneccessary visits for repairs. It took about 1-2 weeks to get in touch with him. I explained what his technician did. He states, I'm sure he was just trying to help you out. Cutting corners should not be encouraged within a company. Not impressed. Will be canceling my membership.

Printz S. remained friendly, professional and worked diligently to fix my air conditioning drainage complications.In spite of the attic heat he persevered to conduct a water removal system rejuvination. The next day, he returned after I suspected that there was leaking into the living room ceiling in spite of the days prior work. He found that there was a hole in the secondary pan that had perpetuated the leak. Thankfully, there was the perfect replacement pan available at the shop. Another employee delivered the new pan quickly to my residence. Printz S. got the new pan up and installed quickly.It's a great comfort to know that I can rely on great staff and solid solutions from the Performance team. Thank you all so very much!Lisa D.

Search no longer! If this company svcs in your area, i highly recomend utilizing the service. I had a main line stoppage, which turned out to be a little more of a frustrating situation. Techs would not leave until atleast 1 bthroom was functional. They were promptly back to finish the job with different techs..ALL were very courteous and professional. No hidden charges, no upsales, no extra svc charge for returning, and VERY fair on pricing, even on weekends. Ask about there annual maintanance plan, although not pressured, i still signed up..trust me, its a fair deal. This review comes from myself being in the plumbing industry for quite some time. Thank you all @ Performance for leaving our home with a more than satisfying experience!!

Great service from start to finish!!! No pressure sales. Gave me Two options for my AC unit... fix it or replace. Decided to replace the system since it was 11 years old already and the cost of fixing did not make sense. Jeremy and Chris C. came out to put the new one in. They did an awesome job and made sure to explain how everything worked. We had an issue with the drain line that was very hard to solve. They would not leave until the issue was fixed! The service tech was friendly and quite knowledgeable about the unit. Went above and beyond to maintain cleanliness in his area. Great job. I originally inherited the service through integrity Ar who had a very much a lacking of integrity never was coming to service the unit after selling my 75-year-old mother her maintenance plan. The performance agent strip the AC down to his bones and thoroughly cleaned the unit without making any mess even fixing some of the small details about installation. By the way which only occurs a year ago costing me $8000. Thank you performance for restoring the integrity in the business and wish you overture.

They said I required a specific type of cleaning and I did agree to have them do it. The air conditioner still did not work after it was done. I had another service go and take a look at the unit and he confirmed to me the service I paid for was not done. I called to take to manager(supervisor) two consecutive days and he never returned my call.

Had another company out prior. Could not clean clog out. Said it would be 1350.00 to come back and hydro jet the pipe with no guarantee it would work. Called Performance for a second opinion. 30 mins later all fixed for less than 200.00. Will be my first call next time.

Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with this company. Their estimates that they gave me were EXTREMELY high. They also manipulated me into paying for a membership, promising it would deduct 20% off of my service (in which it did not), they then told me I had to pay for the full year's member even if I cancelled. This is after a technician attempted to double charge me for an estimate that he did not fully complete, and then when the second technician came later to complete the estimate, he said they are not supposed to charge for the estimate period. Terrible experience. I would not recommend.

Get a second opinion! My husband called and they came out. We thought it was the motor not working. Technician spent maybe 15 minutes checking things and said it's a bad motor. They wanted 1571 to change the motor. We knew the axact motor cost 200 at grainger and 225 on ebay bc we looked before they came out. The tech said it's a 30 minute job. I paid $89 for an assessment and tech says he cant check the whole system because the motor doesnt work. My husband said no thanks I'll do it myself. The owner/supervisor calls me and says we will do it for 1200. My husband says no. The guy calls back again and says 998. My husband says no. Guy says well if you can't get it done let us know. My husband changes the motor and still nothing working. Husband calls the performance guy and he never calls back after saying he would. I was over them so I called essential air conditioning at 3 pm on Friday and the guy was at our house by 530 pm. He stayed an hour. He said the new motor was installed correctly and he checked some things and determined it was the circuit board. And he's not over charging us .its not worth working with these big companies that want to charge so much. AND nothing was wrong with our old motor.

Having to purchase a new ac can be very scary. So many companies and so many brands. I have learned the hard way that it doesn't matter what brand you choose, if it is not installed right, you will have problems! You pay for what you get! Performance gave me the trust I needed. Their technicians are provided schooling and daily hands on training by the company. In turn their technicians take pride in their company and what they do and it shows! Jeremy installed the unit showing me everything from the components that were bad in my old unit to how efficient my new unit was going to be. He listened to my requests and performed. Chris went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right and the process was done with ease! I am glad I found a company for all my ac, plumbing and electrical needs that I trust!

Ok- I'll admit it, I nearly cancelled my service with them all together. The scheduling was all over the place, and communication was poor overall.. However, it was a holiday weekend and maybe this was a one time event. They were professional on the phone, but did not update me about any last minute changes etc until I called. That being said, the plumber who serviced our house was fantastic. Austin went above and beyond to explain things, in addition to installing the RO system I purchased. You could tell that he wanted to put a stamp of approval on his work, which very admirable quality. The pricing was very reasonable, as I expected to pay more. He stayed quite a while to trouble shoot other issues, explain the piping. He suggested repairs and updates but not in a pushy way. I was interested in these services and he did a great job explaining what he would recommend. There was no sales pitch, just information that I appreciate (Given the misinformation online). Scheduling was choppy, but I'll give it a pass given how impressed I was with the service. I was ready to cancel all together and find a new service provider, but today's service changed that and I will continue my services here because of it.

Beau E. contacted me within 1/2 of his arrival to confirm my location, and ask for detailed directions through trailer park.Once there, he was extremely friendly, greeting me with a smile and a handshake and we immediatelywalked back to look at the unit. They're a scam. I should have looked at the yelp reviews instead of google. They came out last week because I had a leaky air handler. Charged me $70 to come out and not fix the problem, suckered me in to there stupid A/C club membership, then said I needed an $800 cleaning for my coils. The club membership thing is my fault, I should have known better then to be suckered into that garbage. Called another A/C company (Sub-Zero), they said the coils looked fine, fixed the problem, showed me how to prevent it, and fix it if it happened again. Stay away from Performance Air.Response to the Response:As for Yelp, you missed the 20+ positive reviews.- actually I didn't. I just checked it again, you have 9 reviews, 8 of them at 1 star. The one five star must have been a relative. Now you have 9 bad reviews because I just gave my opinion. So your comment of 20+ positive reviews on Yelp is a lie.As for yelp, not accredited, 1423 customer complaints, 3 positive review and 304 negative reviews.- I don't even know what this means. Nor do I care about your BBB rating, you're dishonest and apparently I'm not the only one who believes this.

The salesman Troy told us a few different things that were actually done. We paid a premium price but I did not feel we received premium value. Troy told us some ducting would be changed that did not happen and that we could put a new controller on our other unit which was not the case. Our heating/ AC system expired last night. Called the best as we have used Performance Air since 2013. They have a great track record and proved it once again. Their quick and positive response allowed for a timely decision to replace a 11 year old system.within an acceptable time frame. Chris Garris ( comfort specialist) performed as a super professional. He evaluated the situation and discussed options to consider. No pressure, only information to consider in making our final decision. Once the decision was made the schedule was agreed to. The complete work and details including permits and final inspection all handled by Performance Air. What a stress relief. I give them a 9+. (No one is perfect), thank you Chris Garris.

Shawn arrived on time as promised, examined our old water heater and agreed with me that it was no longer functional. He gave me dollar estimates for several replacement options. Using the one we selected, he returned a bit later with a new water heater and removed the old one, installed the new one in about an hour. The Latest update! 1/3/2022I contacted Performance Air Conditioning, Electrical & Plumbing Saturday morning using the preferred customer number- I pay for their service contract. I spoke with Laurie, who after hearing my softener was not working for the 3rd time in 3 weeks told me that someone would be at my house first thing Monday morning. I did not hear from anyone until 10 am when I was informed that no one was available to service my machine. They said they would see what they could do, and told me they would call me back in 10 minutes. It is 5:44 pm and no one has bothered to contact me. Customer service with this company is a joke. My water softener doesn’t work. I have spent thousands of dollars and could not be more unhappy with the whole experience.Update- they called me just now telling me that I didn’t answer my phone when they called to tell me they were coming out today so they took me off the schedule. I have no missed calls from anyone. Don’t use this company, they are terrible, but I’m stuck with them until they resolve the water softener issue.Update to my previous review: I have had nothing but problems with the soft water system they installed 2 weeks ago. It is Christmas Day, I have company, I had signed up for the premium service plan and no one is responding to my pleas for help. My softener is not working for the second time in 2 weeks since it was installed. It’s not working yet again: The water is so salty, it’s disgusting. I have no water to cook with and I shudder thinking how nasty it will be to shower in salt. I spent thousands of dollars to try and get the job done right and I could not be more dissatisfied and disappointed in the product and service. Do. It use this company. As soon as I can get out of my contract with them, which has done me NO GOOD, I will.Austin and his team did an amazing job installing my water heater and softener. So, around 8 months ago, I found a door knocker on my door and I happened to needed electrical work done so I called. A friendly voice told me when they could come estimate the job. When my tech got there, he took lots of pictures and sent them back to the office. I ask him if he was an electrician and he said “no”, I’m just taking pictures??. After a long talk with his office contact, he gave the phone to me and some guy tells me that the price would be $2,200 for the work. I told him I would get 2 more estimates and he said: “other companies might leave you without power for 24 hours & we have a warranty & he tried to pressure me”. I thanked him but I knew the price was excessive. The work in question was splicing 2 line wires and running two 3 foot load wires from the panel to the meter……about one hours work.The other 2 estimates from licensed electricians were $400 & $250. The lower priced man came and did the job in 22 minutes. I clocked him then I called Duke who turned my power back on in 1 hour a total of 1:45 without power.If I do the math Performance would have charged exactly $100 per minute. I will leave it up to the reader to make their own conclusions about this company.————————I wrote a letter to the owner but heard nothing. Yesterday, after 8 months, I received a call by a sales person to respond to my review. She offered no apology just wanted to sell me more. Her offer was to send a team out twice in the next year to inspect my AC. I inquired if this would be free. She said: “Oh no it would not be free”. These people just never quit. How do these “scammers” stay in business?The culture of integrity & honesty of a company comes from the top down……nothing more needs to be said.

This company used to be my go to, not anymore. Something has changed internally with their administration, customer service, and communication. Even some of the techs share this issue.A more specific example of miscommunication and lack of follow through. During the preparation meeting( the meeting before major work was to be done), the manager said to the techs to jet our plumbing line and camera the pipes when the job was over to ensure the line was clear. It was obvious they did not when the pipes backed up not even 24 hrs after the comoany said they fixed our issue, leaving us in the same scenario that made us call them to begin with. The plumber returned and solved the issue by jetting the line and running a camera and another auger to ensure the line was clear (again something that should have been done immediately). Getting them to admit to their mistake and getting management back on the line is a nightmare with customer service.Would not recommend anymore and believe your money is better valued elsewhere. Save yourself the headache, this is just one example of a few.

Their work was done incorrectly, there’s insulation and Freon blowing out vent. As well as air blowing into our attic. The work they did wrong won’t even pass inspection, so that tells u how bad of a job they did. And they (Performance) refuse to fix their screw ups and complete the job correctly. This is the most unprofessional, AC company in Florida by far. First of all, they were half an hour late to the appointment. Second of all, the guy wanted to charge me $1,500. For a part that costed me a $137. It literally took me 45 seconds to put it in. And he had the nerve to say? If that's not the issue, I can't refund you the $1500. Performance has provided us with excellent on time and knowledgeable service that we have come to expect. We have now used all three services that they provide: HVAC, ELECTRICAL and Plumbing.Jeremy and Alton was supposed to arrive at about 10am to install our new AC. They arrived at 9am( wow ahead of schedule). These guys are real pros: they just needed to know where the old unit was and they went right to work. Very clean and very efficient. Each knows his job. One worked inside and one worked outside and then worked both together to finish up. The installation looks and runs great. You don't get this level of craftsmanship when work is subcontracted out. Any and all questions that we had were answered immediately and very thoroughly. Performance has again met and exceeded our expectations. Forgot to mention that it all started with Nate our comfort adviser. He was the one who laid out all of the options that were available to us and helped us to make the right choice. This is a great team.Thanks Performance.Crazy thing happened: thermostat said cool, but heat was coming out. Called Performance and service tech Robert came right out and found the problem and it was fixed in minutes.Robert explained the 2 wires had come close to one another and caused it to malfunction. But it was an easy fix and not a problem with the system. More great service this time it was electrical. Drain pump on old AC was hard wired and not up to code. Electrician Ray came out ahead of schedule and was able to fix the problem to bring it up to code. Excellent job!!!8/252021We noticed some water coming from the condenser. Called Performance to ask if that was something of concern. They sent Casey out to check it within hours. We just expected an answer over the phone. Casey checked the system and reasured us that it was a normal occurrence in hot and humid weather.Thanks Performance AGAIN for great service!!

I thought I had a toilet drain issue when instead I was shown what was wrong with how the tube that fills the tank was not in the right place. It immediately fixed my so called problem. Despite a time mix-up (we were told we’d be first, and were leaving in the afternoon for a vacation), I was very pleased with the tech and his work. Our AC drain was clogged (turned out the landscaping service had buried it!), and we called Performance Air Conditioning, Electrical, and Plumbing. We were advised in advance that Lonny would be our tech, along with his pic. Nice touch. Lonny A knew his “stuff”, and was able to turn a highly stressful situation into a successful one. This included the bill, which would’ve broken us were it not for the payment options Lonny’s company offers (and that he was able to explain in clear and basic terms). Do NOT use this company!!! Unethical, unskilled, and overcharges. Unfortunately, I didn't read previous reviews about Performance and last year we had a whole house AC install for about $9400. Performance installed, maintained, and serviced our system according to their service plan. One year and 4 DAYS later, it went out!!! Performance came out and could not figure out what went wrong and decided to replace the entire outside unit. They were unapologetic and said we would have use manufacturer's warranty to get parts and then have to pay for install and labor at the tune of $1600... Ian was rude and condescending, Ben (the supervisor?) never called during the scheduled appointment. Since then, we've had 2 other opinions and both determined the issue was in the handler is and is fixing for $450. Spending the $1600 and installing a new unit wouldn't have fixed the problem at all. STAY AWAY!!!

My experience with Performance Air was anything but positive. I called Performance Air after my A/C went out and another A/C repair company told me my issue was electrical. I assumed I would be killing two birds with one stone by using Performance as they service both AC and electrical issues.Thinking all I needed was a new circuit to my A/C unit I wasn't too concerned about the estimate and thought it would be a quick fix. The technician told me I would need a complete service upgrade and gave me an estimate of $6.8k. My heart sank. The technician told me a wire in my box had melted and I was lucky my house had not yet burned down. He told me how awful my grounding was and that it would definitely need to be replaced. I was shocked and scared. I couldn't believe that my home has passed an inspection not even 2 years ago when I bought it. I pulled up the inspection report and the inspector did not seem concerned at all with the grounding. That was my first inkling something was amiss.It was the week of Thanksgiving so there was a pressure to sign up now so they could fix everything that Friday. If I didn't sign up now it may be much longer until they were able to come out. I began signing up for everything thinking about the other electricians I called that said they couldn't even get out to give me an estimate by the end of that week. (Florida in November is still pretty warm as we all know) As I was signing everything I was getting a pit in my stomach. I asked the technician to please not move forward and to allow me to try and get other quotes. The technician acted flabbergasted by this and said there was no way I could find a better quote. He left my home with my credit card information and paper work I had filled out. I was terrified I had made an almost $7k mistake.I had 3 other electricians come out to my house the next few days after calling most of them crying. Each person told me that they didn't think I needed a complete service upgrade and even if I did it would cost between $2.5k-$3.5k. Performance Air was quoting me DOUBLE that amount.I sent over one of my quotes to Ian Kellogg in Quality Assurance to review why these quotes were so different. After reviewing, Ian said it was because Performance Air would be providing me a better quality panel than the others offered. The cheaper panel runs for about $1.2k but their panel would have whole home surge protection and a year warranty. I did the math and a few surge protectors from target may be about $50 and if I replaced the cheaper panel in my home every 3 years I still wouldn't get to the Performance Air price. Performance Air said they could also do the work for $3k if they used this lower quality panel. Please note my home is under 1,500sqft, there in no pool, and half my appliances run on gas.It has now been over a week and I am still waiting to be refunded the $1k that was only supposed to be a hold on my credit card. (No service was performed on my home and no parts were ordered).Overall I would never recommend this company.

UPDATED REVIEW 8/11/2021 took a couple of trips, but problem got solved. The problem with the AC was difficult to diagnose, and wound up being a bad T-stat. Took a couple of trips and some time to run down that the part was under warranty. Glad they took the time as I didn't have to pay for a new T-stat. and saved me a couple of hundred $

Josh and Jacob were polite and professional. They diagnosed our issue quickly, and clearly explained the process to clear our pipes. They gave us a price, (expensive, but competitive), and performed the service. They always knocked on the door to enter the house, and they were respectful and friendly to our pets. We appreciate that! We use Performance for our AC, but this is the first time we tried their plumbing service. We are very satisfied.

We had a heavy grease clog in our main pipe leading out to the city sewer. Danny N. found the clog after a difficult search because it wasn't marked, and worked hard into the evening hours to unplug it. he was very instructive in showing me the camera and how the clog occurred and how the grease had built up. Misdiagnosed AC Issue and Recommended Unneeded Repair. James completely misdiagnosed the repair issue and told me my new thermostat was the issue and I needed a new one (confirmed I had installed the new thermostat correctly - said I got a bad thermostat). Was going to charge me $390 for a new basic thermostat installation. I refused. He then proceeded to hard sell me on the thermostat. He says he bypassed my thermostat and that the AC was running correctly. Issue was with the thermostat. Then charged me $124 for the service call. Called out another AC company who diagnosed the problem in under 2 minutes - a tripped float switch. Fixed it for a $50 charge. James even made disparaging remarks about JDK who I actually thought I had called for service not realizing Performance Air bought their client base.

I'm retracting my previous review, since just recently I had them come out on a plumbing call, not only did they send technicians that did not have any of the required equipment, but they used my tools and wet vac. 4hrs later they were unavailable to get the job done because they didn't have the proper equipment. The manager was supposed to calle back, after I've left several messages and here we are almost 2 weeks later and not one call back. I'm very disappointed in this company. I thought they were different from the rest... apparently not!

The A/C team at performance is absolutely top notch.We were having issues with our 1 year old A/C unit very loud during operation. A tech (Bull) was dispatched and he immediately diagnosed the problem and assured me they were working on getting us a replacement unit.The next day (Ben) the A/C manager stopped by ran some tests and reassured us we would get a new unit. He called later that day to let me know they would be replacing the system.Casey the came 2 days later and installed the new unit.We are so pleased with the professionalism and customer service we received we highly recommend Performance Air Conditioning and are definitely customers for life.Thanks so much to the whole Team.

Made an appt for 8am and noon. No call/no show. Call shortly after and gentleman says the guy had to go back to a job from the previous day and they will notify when he's on the way. Why no call in the morning to let me know he's delayed? 90 mins later a call saying he's not coming and can come tomorrow. Tomorrow doesn't work for me!! I stayed home from work today to fix my issue!! Time wasted in looking for an actual Electrician that will show up!!!! DOOOO NOOOTTT Use this company!!!

Today we are sitting on Week 3 of an air conditioning system that is still not fully installed. We have had 5 days of visits. On the first visit they missed the install date completely. When we called as they did not show up, they blamed it on a women who scheduled the appointment, which is no longer with them. They brought a crew out and after getting the unit install were unable to get it to work after trying until 11:30pm at night. It turns out they had it wired wrong, according to the guy that came out the next day. Then they spent another day trying to get the thermostat to work but were unable. Install guy explained that hey have had a lot of problems with the model of thermostat. Why sell something you know you already have problems with? Day 3 of the install they come back with the same broken thermostat and say they ordered the wrong part. Now we are 3 days into what should be a 1 day install. We have not had air for 2 days and on day 3 we are back to using our old thermostat. Fast forward to week 3 of the install and they were scheduled here at 8:00am. I know this will be a big surprise, but no call no one has shown up..... Stay tuned! I asked to speak with the owner who is named Mildred but no call back and the women answering the phone does not even know her last name! BEWARE!!!!!!!

WARNING: do not use this company for emergency services, they do not honor what their website says. They say same day and 24/7 emergency service and I just got told to pound sand. I even spend 20 dollars a month for there yearly program for when these things happen.I bought into the program after buying a new AC from them in 2020 and 2 years later the AC doesn't work anymore and I haven't even been near the thing except to change filters. Now it's May 11th and its 85 degrees outside and 80 inside but the company couldn't care. As soon as they fix it or swap it out I'm done with them. 400 dollars for the program and 7k for a new A/C down the drain.

I have been with Performance Air for several years. Their technicians are excellent! Normally they are on time and professional, as Beau was today.But the scheduling part of the business was out of kilter this time. I was told I was at the top of their list for today and given a 8-12 target time for service. No one showed or called to let me know something had gone wrong. Beau contacted me at 12:50pm and showed up at the house about 1:30. I had asked the office at noon what the problem was, but no one got back in touch with me. Very unprofessional!

We have had performance A/c for a couple of months with the plumbing plan included as well. They have been nothing but amazing with their service and professionalism. What really stands out to me was our big purchase of a whole new unit. Our old unit was very old and causing leakage problems on our flooring( a nightmare to say the least) and the guys were so pleasant and explained all of our options very carefully. We decided to go with a new unit and I’m so happy we did. Can’t say enough about Tyler and David. They were so polite and knowledgeable and did such a wonderful job. They explained to me everything that was done and answered all of my questions and concerns! Our a/c is sooo nice and I can already feel a difference in the air flow. Chris came out, very personable, and very professional. While we weren’t in dire straits, we did want to upgrade and have a new unit going into retirement. He handled everything perfectly. I chose the company because of their high reviews on home advisor. Here’s the other thing, in this day and age where customer service is absent or lacking, it’s refreshing when a company actually wants your business. Could I’ve gotten it cheaper? Maybe, as I do ha e contacts and friends in the business, but those friends, they lack the let’s get it done motivation. Chris assures me in two days it would be done. That’s what I wanted, for it to be done. Ask for Chris. He will take care of you.

Great experience having my washer plumbing fixed. Jorge was on time, called when he was on the way, was very friendly and professional. He cleaned up when he was done, tested everything to make sure there were no leaks, got the washer leveled and hooked up, and helped me out with some tips on flushing out the hot water heater. I needed the faucets installed for my vanity and tub in a newly renovated and painted bathroom. Norman informed me he would have to cut the backside of the wall to get to the plumbing for the tub. I had a mini heart attack since it was just freshly textured and painted. He said he would do his best to cut the smallest piece possible and keep it in one piece so I could salvage that part of the wall (the textured part). Well he did just that. Very meticulous! The job was done perfect and I’m so thankful he was the one who came out since he was knowledgeable and very detailed. In addition to the excellent job that was done, they were able to come the same day I called and accommodate the timeframe I needed.

Atrocious customer service. End of 2022 we had to redo plumbing in a house we were renovating let’s list the issues.1. They were supposed to show up on a Monday. Did not show, did not call. They said it was because a hurricane came through. Which is understandable. But no communication.2. Took way longer then the time frame we were originally given.3. It is now March 2023 (less than 6 months after all this) and we are selling the home and surprise they never had the permit signed off by the city for this plumbing. Although when they finished in Nov 2022 they said everything was fine after the city had them correct something. Now we are in a position where we cannot sell the home without the permit being completed. We’ve called several times and the managers are dodging our calls. Our attorney has been calling to try to settle this to no avail.

Performance Air Conditioning, Electrical & Plumbing is a Company I would not hesitate to recommend. They are punctual or they call, theydiagnose the problem and then submit to you the cost of repair. Undertheir membership agreement, you get a couple evaluations per year at no cost to you. It is well worth the money because it is a preventativeto major home repairs.

Cancelled on me twice before actually showing up. Charged a high price just to show up and had a very high quote that I did not use the company for. I would not recommend using this company

I was told that I had multiple leaks in my HVAC system and needed either thousands in repairs or a new system. It turned out my coil just needed to be cleaned and there weren't any leaks as my refrigerant levels were normal. This company and most big HVAC companies are con artists. All I needed was my coil to be cleaned for less than $200. The customer service manager laughed at me when I called to tell her about my experience. Well..I paid less than $200 to fix my AC, so guess I'm the one laughing. I hope my review prevents others from being ripped off. There was NOTHING wrong with my HVAC system besides a dirty coil
