Outside, non-metal, faucet was broken off. That required shutting off the water supply to the entire house. The technician arrived in a timely manner, and was professional, completed repair satisfactorily. I felt the pricing was high even after my membership discount.
I had a great experience with the unfortunate replacement of my AC. The guys.. Tim, Casey, Alton and Alex were on time, efficient, courteous and professional. The whole ordering process was seamless as well. They all made was potentially a miserable situation into a pain free installment and got my ac up and running with 48 hours. They you guys!!! Cody C, came out to diagnose the problem with our microwave and electrical box. He took his time explaining several options, and we were very satisfied that there was no pressure to make a decision to completely replace our very old electrical box. Erik F was right on time for the install. He got right to work, corrected a loose outlet, and made a designated outlet for the microwave, and brought our electrical up to code. It was a hot and dirty job and he worked hard to get it done. After he did an excellent job, was very pleasant and answered all my questions. Thank you Cody and Erik F.

Mike C seems like a nice person however he also seemed like he really didn't want to do the work. He replaced the drain. It's not fitting properly and has a raised rough edge in shower. He left the shower floor, bathroom floor and toilet seat with dirt on them. He left debris in our trash can in the bathroom and more debris under the house. He tried to fix the other leaks but made them worse. He shoved a towel around the leak. Then basically left us on our own to decide what to do to fix the leaks.

I will keep this short and sweet because I don’t want to waste anymore of my time on this company. Basically, Performance AC just recently quoted us for a fan motor and cooling coils at $1,700 and $3,300. After specifically asking the technician if the manufacturer warranty would cover this repair he said no. To my surprise I called Trane and yes, both parts are covered under warranty. Come to find out Performance AC has customer pay out of pocket for full cost of parts and then goes to Trane directly for reimbursement and pockets the difference. This in addition to selling us on multiple UV lights unnecessarily and changing our variable speed handler to a single speed is just too much to let this pass without bringing it to everyone’s attention. Good luck to all and please if you use this company PLEASE check their work and call for second opinions before any work is completed.

Josh was polite, professional and knowledgeable. He removed our water softener and did related work and helped us get the old softener into the garage. Five stars for him but your schedulers are completely unreliable. They lose appointments, change appointment times...I asked to talk to a manager and haven’t heard a word.

I am so very happy with these guys. When we discovered that we had rotting cast iron pipes in our house we had no idea what to do. The original plumbers that we called wanted destroy our floors and walls but we wanted a way to avoid that if at all possible. We did a lot of research and found that pipe lining was an excellent alternative. We decided that’s what we wanted to do and began looking for a reputable company to do the work. It wasn’t as easy as one might think. We live in Orlando and Performance was the closet company we could find. When I originally called them I didn’t know they were in Clearwater/Largo but after some research on their part they were the ones that covered our area and we began our process. They gave us Three different options and what each would cost. We decided what we wanted to do but then had to delay the plumbing repairs due to finding a major leak in the roof. Once we were financially able to pursue getting the plumbing fixed we called them back. They honored their original bid and began the work. It turned out that our pipes were worse than we were originally told and the work was more than anyone expected but they stuck to their original bid without any extra costs on our part. I highly recommend this company to anyone. Thank you so much for being a company that honors their word and does the job properly. I am forever greatful.

We just purchased this condo and wanted to be reassured that the ACHeat unit was working properly. All of our concerns were addressed. We called on a Friday and we had an appointment by Monday. We are very pleased with the service that was supplied. We will be continuing to have this company routinely service our unit.
Tony did a fantastic job identifying the problem and correcting the situation. He ran new wiring from the C/B panel to the water heater which was previously spliced. Tony arrived as scheduled and completed the repairs promptly.
Sean was so awesome! He is polite, professional, and thorough. He clearly explained everything that he was doing and asked if I had any questions throughout the entire process. Tony came with the right attitude! He immediately re-evaluated the plumbing issue! He gave an option on how to tackle the toilets & showers from over flowing. Tony (& Eric -equally as nice & professional) descaled & jetted the line connecting the toilets to the clean out valve then ran a camera to insure there wasn’t a blockage any longer or broken pipes. With Tony’s vast plumbing experience we were confident the plumbing issue would be resolved! Thank you Tony & Eric for all you’ve done to tackle the job!

I found a door knocker on my door and needed Electric work done so I called. A friendly voice told me when they could come estimate the job. When my tech got there he took lots of pictures and sent them back to the office. I ask him if he was an electrician and he said “no”. After a long talk with his office contact he gave the phone to me and some guy tells me that the price would be $2,200 for the work. I told him I would get 2 more estimates and he said: “other companies might leave you without power for 24 hours & tried to pressure me”. I thanked him but I knew the price was excessive. The work in question was splicing 2 line wires and running two 3 foot load wires from the panel to the meter.The other 2 estimates from licensed electricians were $400 & $250. The lower priced man came and did the job in 22 minutes. I clocked him then I called Duke who turned my power back on in 1 hour a total of 1:45 without power.If I do the math Performance would have charged exactly $100 per minute. I will leave it up to the reader to make their own conclusions about this company.

Appointment made in great detail previous day reference $79 sewer line cleaning. We had an event at our bar and requested same day service, which they said they would try but no promises. No problem, they told me up front and I was prepared to wait til the next day. The next day the tech arrived. After about 15 minutes of being shown the issue and access points for clean outs we were told the price would increase by over $100.He said the increase was due to being non residential. We called the office and were told there was a mistake made by the customer service representative who took the call. We were also told they were not taking new jobs and were going to leave. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Bull came out to do a 6 month follow up AC check. He paid much more attention to detail than the previous tech who was here in June. In fact he redid some of the work that the previous tech had done incorrectly last June. Bull cleaned and waxed my outdoor AC unit. I was really impressed with his attention to detail and desire to do a perfect job. I’ll be requesting him in the future.

I have an historic two story home built in 1925. The prior year I used this company to replace original sewer lines to the street and they did a fantastic job. This year, we replaced all of my original water lines and discovered some unexpected but serious issues requiring creativity and skill. Tony and Angelo were at my house for a week and I am so grateful for their care and expertise. They are craftsmen. This is not the cheapest company you will find but I got what I paid for which was careful and high quality work. Had annual water heater flush. Water pipe marking as well, outside, as requested. Raul E was courteous and efficient. They always have someone to help you.
On 12/12/19 I was told by Performance my pipes needed to be repaired or replaced immediately. They were on the verge of collapse. The job was to take 2 days on a weekend. It actually took 60 days. For 60 days I could not run my washer machine without flooding a bathroom. For 60 days (assuming this latest fix will last) I was never sure if a toilet would flush or flood a bathroom. During this time I had to take numerous days off from work. Each time a plumber came to fix or finish the job, I was told it was done. Not so. I was told the fix was to try single ply toilet paper. There was a 48 hour period where I had no working toilet or sink due to the fix. The first Saturday the job was started 12/14, they did not bring enough lining to complete the job the next day. Although I was promised by the sales person, the job would be completed over a 2 day period. I would lose use of 1 bathroom for 24 hours and the second bathroom for 24 hours. I was never told it would take 60 days. The last day, 2/21/20, the worker showed up at 8:30 and disappeared without a word around 2:00. I had to call the office to find out if the work was done or not done. Did he go for lunch? Is he coming back? These 2 visits were indicative of my experience. One of my bathrooms has been totally trashed. The fixtures were never put back. In fact, the window screen is still sitting on the floor in my bedroom. I'll have to buy some clips I can't find to put it back. I was never offered a voucher for a laundromat to get my wash done for this 60 day period. I was never offered a motel room for the time period I had no indoor plumbing. This work prevented any holiday last year. Couldn't invite anyone to my home. What if the toilet didn't flush. I missed days and days from work to accommodate return visits to correct the drainage problems. Was I offered any kind of compensation? No. To this day I have not received a copy of the quote for the job. The loan company had to contact the contractor 3 times on my behalf for me to receive a copy of the invoice, on 1/15/20. The invoice is dated 12/24/19. I am responsible for a loan of almost $15,000 for this magical experience. This contractor processed this loan on 12/21/19 without my knowledge. How does a payment get processed before the invoice is created? AT NO TIME was I ever informed 100% of the payment would be processed up front. I certainly was never told I would have limited use of my home for 60 days after the payment was processed. I would never have agreed to those conditions. AT NO TIME was I informed the loan had an activation fee I was required to pay with the first payment. The contractor's billing department NEVER told me the loan was processed and refused to speak with me. I only knew I was responsible for these monies from an email sent to me by the loan company. No one at that contractor had the simple courtesy to let me know the loan was being processed. Just to make sure I had a special experience, the contractor sent me an overdue bill for $126 on 2/18/20. Still couldn't use my washing machine without flooding my bathroom. I could go on and on about how filthy my house got with people going in and out. Or, how the workers threw their gloves all over and piled them in a flower pot instead of the trash cans. Or, damage done to the outside electrical outlets. It's difficult to mop floors without working plumbing. If this contractor actually cared about their customers, one would think maybe some one would give me a call and see how I am faring. Nope. I hope no one else has to go through this experience. experience.Update: Received a call from customer service a week ago. I mentioned I was not happy. I was to receive a follow up call Monday or Tuesday. Never happened. What if You or I couldn't wash our hands or flush a toilet in the midst of a pandemic!

Very happy with the professionalism and quality of Performance. I highly recommend them. Normally, it could take weeks to get an AC company appointment, but Performance was ready to book whenever I needed someone. You can't go wrong with Performance.

Read this especially if your elderly relatives are in a customer relationship with Performance Air.Less than two years ago, Performance sold my mom two wall AC units (over $1000 each), charged her over $2000 to fix her central unit, and within months of that sold her a $13,100 HVAC unit for her 2400 sqft home. You read that right: $13,100. They helped her finance it with a no interest loan for $15,000 from Green Sky.I know, the numbers don't add up.They also talked my mom into buying a new water heater (which she didn't need and which works worse than her old one), and sold her a dishwasher, which, less than two years later, has already died and had to be replaced.When I found out about these purchases this past January due to my mom's hospitalization, I contacted Performance Air and asked to see the purchase history and receipts. A history was sent, but no signed contracts or documents. When I inquired again, I was ignored. I have yet to see any signed agreements for any of the purchased items.I told Performance not to send representatives to my mom's home without consulting me first. I was promised there is a policy not to make contracts with elderly clients especially when asked to refrain by their children. Especially when they have Power of Attorney, which I provided to them.JUST THIS MONTH, on May 2, 2019, a performance air consultant came to my mom's home. Apparently, the less than two year old wall units (installed by Performance Air) had to be fixed to the tune of $200.And at the bottom of the receipt was written:Maybe it's time to talk to our comfort advisor about a new more efficient system.WHEN THEY SOLD HER A UNIT LESS THAN A YEAR AGO THAT COSTS $13,100!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus two OTHER units that are LESS THAN TWO YEARS OLD.They are already playing against her forgetfulness to SELL HER ANOTHER ONE!!!!!Shame on Performance Air. Stay away from them, and especially watch your parents' pocketbooks.
I was pleasantly surprised that I could get someone out to look at the leak around my toilet the same day as I called! David did a great job. I was expecting the worst (sewer line clogged?) but it just needed a new wax ring. David assessed the situation thoroughly before deciding what needed done.

Wanted way too much, to replace a $30 to $50 circuit breaker. On 1/26/23 I spoke with someone in the CRD. They apologized for any misunderstandings and I accepted. So, I have upgraded to 4 stars, because from the beginning they seem interested in being fair and honest about everything of which I had concerns. I will upgrade to 5 stars, pending all that we agreed to and I have even set another appointment to give me a quote on replacing my a/c unit with a new Heat Pump.

Charles arrived on time and was very professional. He was able to service our HVAC system, performing all the usual inspections, flushes etc. his service was exemplary and proves that an ounce of prevention is definitely better than a pound of cure.
On the Sunday after Christmas, I heard and saw water spewing from under my house. In a total panic, I called Performance and they sent a tech within 15 minutes. Stephen M. answered the emergency call and found the problem instantly. He was professional, knowledgable and courteous. He helped me understand the scope of the problem and gave me a detailed plan to the remedy.So happy with the service...highly reccomend
They sent a tech out 3 weeks ago to perform service on a 3 yr old Trane ac unit. Today the unit went out again. I called at lunch time and was told someone would call back and they didn't. At 3 I called to say that the home was hott and we have small children. Was told by james that tech would be out between 7-8. I get another call that tech would be out after 9 and possibly not at all till tomorrow between 10-2. That was not acceptable. It's hott and humid and we can't sleep. We work in the service industry and this is horrible service. It's 11:00 pm and not even a courtesy call. Worst of all they talked us into a monthly service plan membership when they were here 3 weeks ago.

The first time I dealt with them they saved me with a late night emergency... A clogged air conditioner drain at one in the morning as the temperatures were skyrocketing. Called them up, they said no problem, will be right there, they showed up and fixed it.Now I use them on my regular service calls. They just replaced my water heater the day after they diagnosed it. An outstanding outfit!

The Performance Air rep show up timely & neat. Was very helpful in explaining what was to be done, and made sure to see if I had any questions. The team behind the Technician made sure to follow up ahead of time, and afterwards. Once the appointment was set they followed up a few days before. On the day of the appointment they called, texted & emailed the status and when the Technician would arrive. That really helped plan my day and to make sure I'd be home when they arrived. All in all, Performance Air gets a good reference from me.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME!!! Sexist and overpriced. This company bought Pinellas Comfort Systems which we previously used. The tech came out and didn't know basic ac terminology. When I explained my issue he acted like he knew what I explained, but after walking between 2 thermostats and a panel in my closet he came out scratching his head asking why we called because the system was cooling. When my husband explained it in dumbed down terms the tech climbed into the attic and when he came down decided the issue was what I'd told him. When I asked how he knew that was the problem he didn't have an answer, nor could he explain how he knew that was the problem. He then went to get an estimate which came back higher than we paid for a new system less than a year ago. We responded with shock and he proceeded to tell us there was an 89.00 fee for the service today with a smirk on his face. The parts cost about 200, and the estimate was for over 3k! I'll be finding anyone else but them!!!

After weighing the pros and cons of each scenario, I was able to come to a decision that worked best for me. He also made suggestions that would be both efficient and cost effective for future projects. I would highly recommend consulting Performance Air with any of your HVAC, plumbing or electrical needs.

We had a very poor experience with this company. They 'lost' our appointment twice (and their customer service is the worst), but then a tech showed up anyway - not to do the job - but to tell us that he couldn't do the job because he didn't have a ladder.Rather than trying to deal with this company further (over an hour on the phone, arguments, and lost appointments), we chose Everyday Air instead, and the entire process was as smooth as butter (4 minutes on the phone, they came out the same day, and finished the job in just over an hour).If you are considering this company, I would strongly advise you to look elsewhere.
My AC went out, so I scheduled a service call. The next day, they sent out Ralph. Ralph arrived well within the service window and was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed my issue and had my AC working soon after.

I am a new home owner in the St. Pete area and have had several plumbing issues and AC issues come up. We had an amazing AC experience with this company and after using multiple plumbing companies, disappointed with all of them, i contacted Performance plumbing. Josh, our technician came out to help. He was very sweet, even greeted our large lab as if he was one of the owners. He was so patient and professional and took the time to help explore our problem and explain everything in detail. He helped coordinate all the work we need done. He explained their membership package, which after spending over 700$ with other companies on services we could have gotten with the membership, we signed up. He even took the time to call and set up our next appointments for us. We liked him so much that we asked if he could be our technician for the rest of the project and he made sure that would happen. I highly recommend this company, their membership, and Josh! you wont be disappointed! PS - this is NOT a solicited review. we are actually a very pleased customers and want to help all those out there who have been ripped off like we have by other companies!

The sales and install employees were professional and knowledgeable. They took time to answer all my questions (there were many along the way).The installation required working in very extreme attic heat and outdoors all day in Florida summer temps.All my questions were addressed throughout the install process. The install technicians were efficient and cleaned up at the end of a long day.I have had a very positive experience with Performance so far, and I am very happy with my new HVAC system.

Performance AC sent out a great tech, Bull, who came out to do an annual maintenance on my AC system. I used to have Heavenly AC, who Performance bought out, so technically, this was this company's first time on my property. They notified me when they were on their way, and they arrived promptly within the service window. I like that it was at the beginning of the service window rather than the later. So, upon performing the annual maintenance he discovered a lot of dirt, dust, and mold forming on the inside blowing unit. He provided a plan to address the issue and was able to work in some discounts to get me the best price possible. We ended up doing a germicidal clean/system restoration of the entire blowing unit where he pulled out the motor and cleaned and wiped everything inside and out. We also installed UV lighting so it would kill any mold that we couldn't manually clean, and should continue to ensure that any mold or other harmful particles will not travel through the blower unit, and eventually into my home. I can definitely tell a difference in the air blowing into my home...it smells fresher and cleaner. I would say the one thing is that the job for the germicidal clean was pricey and something I didn't expect, and I didn't have time to check if the price was accurate and fair, but I am trusting that Bull was being honest and fair. Bull, and Performance, did offer amazing financing options which I declined and chose to pay in full because it saved me a couple hundred dollars doing so (plus I don't like financing for something at this amount). Again, I trust the price was fair... Overall, I am please with the annual maintenance and germicidal clean, and Bull, the technician, never rushed or pressured me, and I really felt like he was there to help me...which at the moment, it seems he did!
Performance has been our saving grace as new home owners in St. Pete. Their technicians are all incredibly professional and very helpful with explaining and helping you prioritize needs of repairs and replacements. Kevin recently serviced our AC - he was helpful, professional, and patiently explained all of his findings and recommendations to help keep our unit functioning at its best. We are grateful to have such a good local company that offers a variety of home services and a membership inclusive of regular maintenance and discounts.

Previously I posted a not so glowing review about this company, but they made it right and I wanted to change my review. Yes, things went poorly at first. Primarily due to an ordering error, but Ben made right. Anthony and Jeremy were the techs who installed our new unit. They were nice and worked efficiently. We were credited back the money that was charged by the work and previous parts that failed by it being applied to the cost of the new unit. I am happy overall with the out come of the experience of working with them. Mistakes happen, but a good company recognizes it and makes amends. And they are a good company.

He explained the Performance Club Service agreement opportunity & gave me a Performance company contact magnet for future use. My 16 year old Rheem system is nearing the end of its functional capacity. If I could give negative stars I would. I scheduled my maintenance appointment in May for July, they called the day before at 5pm to tell me they had to reschedule. Rescheduled for August 14, got a call the morning of 8/14 to reschedule again until OCTOBER!!! My six month maintenance will now be a year!!! They don’t care about their loyal customers if they’re not making any money on the visit. I’ve already paid for the service so I’m already out of pocket for the visit but will never use them again. So much better when they were Pinellas Comfort Systems, they actually showed up when scheduled.

I needed a yearly inspection and service for my AC unit. During the inspection the tech found that a fan had failed and needed replacement. The part was on his truck. He installed it very quickly. The bill was far less than I had anticipated. This was the second time I had used this company. I’ve always been happy with the outcome.
In my opinion there prices are outrageous. I got a quoted of over 1800.00 to replace an air handler motor. Found out later the part was about 150.00 and the labor was about the same to put it in. Because of how expensive the fan quote they gave me was, I also considered just replacing the system. Mind you this is only a 1300 sqft house. There cheapest quote for a new system was 12000.00 for there cheap system and 21000.00 for there Deluxe system. 3 other AC companies gave me a more reasonable quote range of 4000.00 to 6000.00. In my opinion I would not touch this company with a 100ft pole.
Very pleased with the service. Cody was courteous and knowledgeable. Kept me informed throughout the process and discussed the condition of each my systems upon completion.

The absolute worst experience ever. Owner is great. But he's got a lot of incompetent employees who took shortcuts and hid shortcuts. 18 months after install I still don't have a good experience.
Ray came out to fix a simple breaker issue and found out that we had some major electrical issues explaining why the GFI switches keep melting. He may have saved our lives, as the problems he found were definite fire hazards. 🔥 Thank you, Ray! You are a credit to Performance AC!
Caveat Emptor. ( caused an issue, then attempted to sell me a $2K repair for it.)No response?No rebate-attempt to correct, issue from management ?$68 discount service call ; and the tech immediately diagnosed, a much needed $2K some sort of never heard of cleaning & mold treatment .This was an annual maintenance check, my system is 2 yrs old.Unauthorized, The Tech carved a 10' circle freehand with a knife, in the original wall from the AC to the air ducts. This was so he could conduct the cleaning service? Then crudely taped the whole shut. AC now leaks from the holes seams. ( again this was a maintenance, mechanical check , of a newer unit.) I'm Not confident, the HVAC unit was actually serviced; as we were too busy reviewing the deathly mold issue the tech was representing.I reported the damage to a customer service rep. whom followed up on the telephone, about two hours after the tech left. He took no action on my now compromised system; and further inquired about me signing up for their service plan.

Curt came on a Sunday within 20 minutes after I called. He found the problem immediately which had been caused by the previous technician. He was professional and knowledgeable! Would want to use him every time!
Made an appointment at 11am and they were on site the same day at 4:30pm. The gentleman who did the work on my a/c unit was Warren Jones. He was informative, thorough and friendly. I’ve had service done several times before with this older system, however, I feel Warren established trust early on and I will definitely request him go forward. Thank you!

I appreciate them responding whenever there is a problem that very day. I am not happy with the unit we had installed as we have been having problems ever since it was installed last June. The technicians are very professional and helpful. I just hope they can get the problems with the unit resolved soon.
My air conditioner stopped working Friday night. I was able to get Performance Air to come out Saturday. Cody showed up on time ,diagnosed the problem and got my air working.. He was very professional, explained what he was doing, and showed me the problem. He then checked out the outside unit making sure everything was working well. Although expensive due to emergency call, it was a big relief he was able to fix it.

My experience was great! From the dispatcher who answered the phone - she was awesome! - to the technician Christian who was very knowledgeable, fast, respectful and fixed my issue…I ended up getting maintenance service with them because if this good experience.
Prinz performed maintenance on two units and helped arrange future maintenance. We have mini splits and have had problems in the past with other area companies. But Performance has been perfect!
Derrick came promptly, did a thorough review of our system and helped us set up necessary procedures.

The Trane & Performance AC Saga (A Comedy in Multiple Acts)Background:Had new system installed 2019, went with Trane based on Performance's recommendation (Performance used to be Paradise and had good experience with Paradise before). System worked great until June of this year (2022) when a weld popped in the coils, causing all the refrigerant to leak out. Had a tech out the next day, who identified the problem, said the part was in the warehouse (since it was a newer system) and to call Dispatch the next day to check on part status and set repair time/date. It took 4 DAYS for someone to get back to me to set up repair appointment. This was with me calling every day and the issue supposedly being escalated to management. I would get transferred to Dispatch, be on hold for 15 minutes, then sent to a voicemail box that was full and call then disconnected. The CSR sent multiple emails but, again, no one from Dispatch contacted me until 4 days after I initially called them (so 5 days total and almost 7 days until repair was done). Also, I had to pay for refill of refrigerant, which was not cheap, even though it was Trane's faulty weld on their coil that leaked it all out. I feel Trane should have footed the bill for the replacement refrigerant.Current Issue:On 7/14/22 I noticed my thermostat was continuously rebooting itself (and thus, not running the actual AC unit). Tech was out next day (7/15 a Friday) to diagnose the issue. According to the tech a voltage spike killed the blower, thermostat & air handler motherboard (although none of my APCs registered same). Tech put in repair / parts order. Called next day (7/16, a Saturday), eventually reached someone in Dispatch, they advised to call on Monday on parts status as warehouse is is located in Memphis TN and has limited hours of operation on Saturday and are closed completely on Sunday.Called back Monday morning (7/18) at 9am, left message with Dispatch asking for update on part status & repair time. Was called back by Dispatch late afternoon, advised a couple days to ship parts from TN.Called on Thursday 7/21 to f/u , parts set to be delivered that day so set appointment for Friday (7/22/22).Friday (7/22/22): Tech was on site timely to start repairs. However, he was missing the replacement thermostat & the additional voltage suppressor/regulator so had to stop, go pick them up and this added about an hour long delay.Sunday (7/24/22): AC broke again, same issue with thermostat rebooting. Tech out same day, appears bad thermostat. Adv to call Monday to set appointment to install new thermostat as it's a simple 10-15 minute job.Monday (7/25/22): Called 10 am, CSR said my repair order was on hold. Eventually spoke with Antionette (manager) and she was able to set an appointment for 2-6pm arrival time.5:15 pm received call from tech, warehouse loaded wrong type of thermostat. Warehouse is now closed so appointment needs to be rescheduled next available appointment is 7/26 from 10am-2pm.Tuesday (7/26/22): 12:15 Tech arrives. Does some testing, states actual thermostat is fine, turns out there was an apparent wiring issue from the air handler to the thermostat as tech was getting a significant voltage drop in the lines running between them. Tech completely rewired system (Air handler, MB, thermostat, breaker, power protected, all of it) and now it works fine.Overall impression: Not sure if I was just the unlucky recipient of a confluence of malfunctions that happened in the same time frame, or if the techs could not correctly diagnose the issue until the last one or maybe a combination of the two but I am certainly soured on Performance and Trane at this time.
Our technician did a great job. Found the problem and corrected our side. Contacted maintenance and alerted them to problem which they are repairing on their side. Set us up for routine maintenance to keep are unit in tip top shape. Great value and great job. Thank you.

I recently used Performance Air Conditioning, Electrical & Plumbing after experiencing a backup in my second floor guest bathroom. The technician (Austin) that visited my home recommended to my spouse that an update of the water heater and toilets, was need due to the harshness of Florida water. Austin also advised that a water softener would help with preserving the life expectancy of the equipment that would be replaced. He provided a quote for a member rate (we are members) and a non-member rate for the services that would be performed. After serious consideration it was decided to proceed with the repairs and while on vacation we contacted the establishment, spoke with Ian to ok the repairs; however, under the believe that we would receive the member rate. Unware that financing the project would negate the membership rate an additional $1300.00 was added to the $5000.00 plus bill. When inquiring into the billing Ian states we were advise of this information, not.... My remembrance of the conversation was we committed to the repair under the impression of zero percent financing. I believe Ian and Austin was deceptive and manipulative in their presentation for the cost of Performance's service. On another note I recently had a technician out to check my AC unit and again the recommendation was hefty a member and non-member rate. My experience with Performance has been rescheduling appointments due to their lack of communication and paying inflated prices for their deceptive practices. I have requested to discontinue may membership with the company and was advised by Ian to leave the option open. I guess he really does not understand when a relationship is over.

First of all, this is not in response to the technicians; the technicians have all been helpful and professional. However once the service has been provided, hopefully you'll never have a need to contact the main office and ask for a call back to question an invoice. My husband and I called Ben, the Customer Service Manager numerous times as we had a question about the warranty. He never called back. I will no longer refer my clients to use Performance as they UNDER PERFORM once they've taken your money.

Leon was my technician he definitely knows his job he take pride in his job and enjoy it, he explained to me what was the problem, it didn't take him long to make a diagnostic decision. Leon immediately noticed that my pan from the AC was filling up with water and needed the pump flushed. My house was soon after he finished the temperature dropped quickly down to 86. within an hour it was down to 75 degrees. Leon explained to me the different route of cost, if I wanted to get a service contract it would be much cheaper. Very knowledgeable, polite & courteous.Great job! Leon way to go! Keep up the good work.

It was a holiday weekend. My AC had major mold smell and my water heater was leaking. The water heater was up over cabinets in my garage. I take this opportunity to thank Jason with Performance HVAC...He initially arrived and gave me an estimate and recommendation on getting my air back operational. He was able to diagnosis the problem & recommend next steps. He was clean & professional and he made sure that i had the proper Thermostat for the job....which solved the problem without actually having to replace the entire HVAC. I will have to replace the unit in the near future, however with what Jason has done it will help to prolong the life expectancy of the unit. Thanks Jason for the quality and clean, and healthy way you worked! I highly recommend using Performance HVAC.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANYI call for a Leak detection and the person that answer told me that was $89 for the service. When the technician got to my house, he told me that was $89 for service plus $150 for leak detection. I explained that the unit was serviced just 3 weeks by them from the previous owners of the house. That I call for a leak detection only and the office gave me a price of $89 NOT $89 + $150. When the technician called the office to wave the $89 and just charge me the $150 for the leak detection, the main office declined and just basically said crew you. They did NOT CARE that they installed and service this unit regularly with the previous owners, they did NOT CARE about me been a new client, they did NOT care that I just moved into this home. I lost $89, buy they lost a client.

Leon P. was right on time. He got started right way looking for the leak in my AC unit. He found it and knew what was causing it. After fixing it he checked out the AC unit outside. He educated me and my sister on what we were doing wrong and hopefully this leak won’t come back.

My technician was Jared and I would definitely recommend Performance A/C. My air conditioning unit was fixed faster than expected, and all representatives at Performance communicated with me quickly and courteously. The price of the repair was comparable to past A/C repairs I’ve been party to and all the details of the transaction were explained transparently.
I busted a water pipe trying to swap a hose faucet and had water spewing from the side of my house. I turned off the main water line and immediately called Performance. Within an hour on a Sunday afternoon, Pascal arrives to save the day. It wasn’t an easy fix, but he figured it out and made it happen in the pouring rain with a smile! Nice guy, very friendly and he knows his trade. Thanks Performance!

This was a service call on my home AC. Company overall is great, Timely response. They do good work, give honest advice. Best of all tech (Marvin) explained everything in a clear & concise manner showing what was wrong and what needed to be done. PS: I, a licensed building contractor, so I've dealt with several HVAC companies.
We had a service contract with Performance for many years. Their electrical and plumbing services were adequate at best, but expensive. Their free inspections are just a way to get into your house to try to sell things or try to get you to upgrade on current systems that are fine. Their HVAC was never strong. In late 2020, when they serviced the unit, they failed to put all the pieces back in. It took several calls and a week to get someone to correct the problem. Then our heater/AC quit working the beginning of 1/21. Despite saying someone would be out that day to fix it, no one came until the next day. The first technician had no idea what the problem was and said it was above my pay grade. The next one said it was the motherboard, without even opening up the wall or outside units. He said it would take 2-3 weeks to get a new one from the factory and install it. Four weeks later, after no word from Performance and no heat for the entire month of January, we called them and learned the motherboard was on back order until April! We called another company for a second opinion. They came out the same day. They diagnosed the problem as a sensor in the wall unit and not the motherboard in the outside unit. They had it fixed and running within 24 hours at less than half the price Performance quoted. We called and told Danny Marshall, Performances' supervisor, what had happened. If he apologized, I did not hear it. When we asked to terminated our maintenance contract, we were told it might take them 30 days to do so! We strongly recommend that people not use this company.
Our AC quit blowing cold air and after cleaning the drains and seeing ice on the coils we knew we had to call a professional. The normal AC company we usually work with could not get out to our home till Monday and with my wife having asthma we couldn’t wait that long. We called Performance AC and they were out within hours. Marvin was our technician and I can’t say enough nice things about him. He diagnosed the problem immediately and advised we had a leak in our coils. He reserved the part and by the next morning we had ice cold air. Marvin was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions and we were so impressed we purchased their annual maintenance plan! I strongly recommend Performance Air, Heating & Plumbing for all your home needs. You may pay a little more but we felt you can’t put a price tag on piece of mind knowing the job was done right!
I had a big issue with the initial quote. I was initially stuck paying much more than I wanted to but felt like I had no choice since I had a backed up sewer. The service manager called me back the next day and we worked out a price I was happier with.The work was done well. And, he even cleaned up some stuff that he really shouldn't have had to. I appreciate that.

We were very happy to meet Norm today. We found him knowledgeable and very helpful. He repaired the problem quickly and took the extra time to show us what the problem was. Our house was built in 1955. And the sewer pipes have never been a problem except twice in two years. Norm showed us a video of what was lurking underground. Normally we do not make any quick decisions and always get three estimates. Because of our gut feeling we trust that Norm was telling us the truth and that we were in dire need to replace pipes before they totally collapsed. Especially since they are under our shed and the system that Performance uses we can get it accomplished without digging and with a warranty from the manufacturer. Nice meeting another Veteran, my husbandd and Norm shared that common bond. I look forward to reporting excellent results once the work is done, but as far as Norm goes, he is terrific.
The experience was good. Extremely impressed that they were able to come out same day and get my A/C back up and running.

The tech, Marvin, that came out to fix my AC was an absolutely amazing. He was super friendly, knowledgeable and fast. He found the problem to my AC unit and fixed it all within 30 minutes. There was just a little hiccup with the scheduling department. I had an appt window from 8am-12noon but no one showed. I called around 1pm and they apologized for the lack of communication and that there was a delay due to weather. They said that they would look into another tech to see if one was available. 30 minutes later I got a call from the amazing Marvin and said that he was 30 minutes away and will come to help. And help he did as previously mention. Really considering doing their package plan that they have for members for yearly maintenance 😁

Getting a new AC system in place within 24 hours was much appreciated, given the 90 degree temps and high humidity. The techs were on time, worked without taking a break to get the system installed and working. They took pride in their work, answered my questions, cleaned everything up, leaving it better than they found it. They explained the system, the thermostat, made suggestions on upkeep. They also reminded me of the 10 year warranty!! I appreciate the hard work they do.
I have used a Performance Air for years and remain impressed with the quality of their technicians and how I am kept informed of who is coming and when. Cody was the tech who serviced our 4 AC units. He was polite, thorough, knowledgeable, neat and efficient. He is truly a great representative and asset for the company. He deserves 6 stars! Will request him when it comes time to service our ACs again.
Warning!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.They completely took advantage of my elderly mother. Put a new thermostat in and charged her over 400$. We had two of these done years ago for up and downstairs and only cost 150$. They also didn’t tell her price in advance. When we called, the guy said it was a new technician and he didn’t have the invoice, but that thermostats can cost as much as 300$! Well they also said they honored her 100$ coupon which would have put the cost over $500. For a thermostat! The only thing my mother is at fault is for not asking the price up front but the guy was very sneaky and just put it in And also said that he was putting in the cheapest one. Well according to my math of the highest one costs 300$, and we were charged over 500$ with the 100$ coupon, math doesn’t add up. They also made her wait around the day before and kept moving her time slot back until they finally cancelled on her and moved back to the next day. I would try a different company. Maybe pleasant air conditioning. We had a reasonably good experience with them and they didn’t hide the price till the end. My mother thought she called them but made a mistake and is now literally paying for it. She’s retired without much money to live on so this is a big hit and very sad a big company like this would take advantage of her and be able to sleep at night. All I can say is Karma will get them.
The technician, Tom, was on time and quickly assessed the situation (i.e. clogged main drain) and initiated correction of the problem. He also ran a camera through the line to determine the nature of the clog. Luckily, it was only a paper clog and no line related problems. Tom was very thorough, informative, and cleaned up the area after he was finished. Cost for the service was very reasonable. Have used Performance A/C, Electrical, & Plumbing previously with similar experience. I strongly recommend this company based on my experience with them.

Overall experience was great. Was able to get a same day in house quote for a new AC system, and installation within two days. Jeffery was our sales advisor and he is very thorough and informative. He took the time to understand our needs and our budget. Jeremy and William installed our unit over the weekend and were polite and efficient. Prices are comparable and fair but their warranties is what sets them apart! I would highly recommend.

I contacted Performance Air Conditioning Services for their $68 tuneup special. Lori was extremely helpful and scheduled me for a date that was convenient for me. My technician, Shaun S. contacted me during the scheduled time to inform me that he was on his way. Shaun couldn't have been more knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful. He even had to kill a giant wasps nest! Thank you Performance for the wonderful service and staff. I will certainly recommend you to anyone who needs air conditioning services. I will definitely call you if I'm in need of help as well.

Doug replaced a defective smoke detector. The previous one had a mounting snap off when checking the battery. He had a new replacement unit with him and had it up and running in less than 10 minutes.I also had a question about a circuit breaker that had gone off recently and he explained why it happened and it did what it was supposed to do and there wasn't any problem.Very pleasant and didn't mind answering questions.

Tomasz is an excellent plumbing technician who has great knowledge regarding plumbing. He works hard and is patience trying to figure out problems and solve it. I am very satisfied with his service regarding shower pressure problems.
We had a plumbing issue on a Saturday night. When we called, a very nice lady answered the phone and said their technician was stillon a big job and wouldn’t be done until late. She scheduled us for Sunday morning. They were very professional, stayed in touch via email and tech called when he was on his way as promised. The service call was VERY reasonable and the charge for work was as well. Tech was polite and efficient. We will definitely use this company again!

Josh with Performance A/C, Electrical and Plumbing is a top-notch service technician. He was very professional, knowledgeable, straight forward and polite. There was a major clog in our home with old pipes that we discovered when we got home from work tonight. Josh worked late into the evening, found the problem, fixed it and gave us some viable options to prevent this from happening in the future. Very pleased and will highly recommend and continue to use this company!

Called Paradise Air that was acquired by this large company. Never knew this as I would not have used them. Their service tech said they should have told me that when I called. They came out promptly to look at the AC unit. Problem was with the aux 5 KW heat strip that seemed to stop working. The reversing valve was working as air was warm when heat demand was set. Gentleman started by removing the thermostat to bypass it to see if that was the issue. Not sure why but he shorted out the transformer in the process and had to replace it. Then he indicated that there was a problem with the Thermostat and suggested replacing it. Never had an issue with it but he apparently wanted to charge $525 for a Honeywell T4 non WiFi thermostat. Based on his rediculous quote, I decided to replace my thermostat in my other home yesterday with a New Honeywell T4 WiFi at my home. It took me a whopping 10 minutes and the new unit cost $99 on Amazon. Who comes up with their pricing? Needless to say he made my heat stop working as he disconnected it at the air handler after he shorted out the transformer when he hard wired it. I called on Monday explained the situation as I paid for a service where in fact they caused more damage to my AC that was now left totally inoperable in heat mode. Never heard back from a manager and called again today and left the same detail. Based on decades of having my ac in 3 of my houses changed and serviced over the years, this was by far my worst experience. They only have a call center to speak to you and no email or other communication. Based on this experience and the lack of follow-up on their end, I would not recommend this company.The plot thickens. I called another AC company in and they found;1. These performance air service tech cut and capped the condenser wire2. They did not check one of the relays and we did not need a $900Part the relay was only $35 part.One has to ask, did the Performance Air tech do this intentionally or was he that poor of a technician?

This needs attention... I still haven't been contacted to have this job finished.PLEASE NOTE: Everyone that I worked with was nice, and everyone was friendly and professional in those regards - I don't really have any complaint there. My issue is just the lack of followup, misdirection, false promises, or what seems to be a 'rushed' job. Defenitely did not get a positive experience to say the least.Even with all this, if resolved I'd be willing to remove the review due to the fact that I typically have positive experiences with them. Maybe they're just overwhelmed causing all this...Here's a list of all problems I've incurred with 'Performance Air Conditioning, Electrical & Plumbing' during an a/c duct replacement. Summarizing as much as I can.I went with this company as their reviews were good at the time, and I also use their annual program for tune-ups/maintenance for a few years now.These issues below are un-resolved at the time of me writing this.Issues:With ALL issues listed, I was the one to call in or bring these up to workers - never once was an issue/resolution brought to me.1. Incorrectly charged $3000 for down payment instead of $3002. Was told they would credit me $100 off the final price to comp for interest I paid on that. Never happened.3. Agreement for install at end of Oct - called mid october to find it was booked for late November.4. Scheduled times for appointments were missed on 3 occasions, not late - just never showed those days at all. Interfered with my schedule numerous times...5. Was promised 2 portable A/C units during install - never received. I was told they usually have these on their trucks, but that they would bring some by later in the day. At about 7-8p after never hearing from anyone, I called their office number. They apologized and said none were coming. Offered to put us in a hotel instead, to which I declined. It was already late, and we work from home - would have planned differently had someone at least told us to not expect these... I had to go that night to find some and pay out of pocket to get my own. That was over $1,1006. Asked if they could assist me in transporting them back to store to return, they said they would - never did.7. As old ducts were thrown down into the garage, a few items were damaged. My new deep freeze has dents all over the lid. Cosmetic sure - but just didn't seem to take any notice or care of my belongings.8. Hole cut for ceiling air return was larger than the vent - never patched or fixed. (have pics) One of the more minor issues... but still.9. Air return box going to the A/C unit in the garage was secured to my ikea shelves instead of the wall.10. Air return vents still don't have filters that I was told needed to be cut and provided later that week.11. Air return vent on the wall (large main) has not been replaced. Was also told this would be one with a drop in filter so that no filter would be needed at the garage unit - then that this couldn't happen.12. Some time during the install - the power line to my garage door opener was severed.13. Wire to one of my in-ceiling speakers was disconnected.14. No air flow from the vent closest to the A/C unit?15. Didn't seem to have drop cloths on hand to help protect furniture etc while working inside. Just a suggestion on this last item.Some of these I can just fix on my own - but should I need to?Due to all the issues, I asked the manager on site if he would at least replace the vents in the house with new ones as a middle ground for compensation. That 'kind of' happened. A few still haven't been replaced, and I have yet to hear from anyone now over 2 weeks since the initial install...All I need is for someone to simply finish the job, and take care of us. Had two parts go out on our AC, $80 in total for parts outside the company. Already diagnosed before the tech showed up but I didn't have the parts to fix it. This company wanted $900 to fix the two parts, which was a 20 minute job. A kickstart and capacitor outside on the condenser. I refused that price and they then quoted me $500 for the repair. I refused again. The tech, was an awesome guy very understanding and helpful. The company itself, pure robbery. I would of gladly paid $300 for the convenience but $500 for a 20 minute fix? And the fact that the first price was $900? Found a local ac parts store and did the fix myself for $80 and everything works fine.
The worst experience I have ever had. I was a member of their club for nearly 2 years. Response time was typically ok but prices for repairs have always been high. The last time they were out to service our AC I was told that I needed $1,400 in repairs and probably more after that because of a mother board that was fried. I decided I should just replace it as it is an older unit. I called a 2nd company just to come in and give me a quote for a new system. When the person from the 2nd company arrived he wanted to just take a look at our system so he could see what we needed for a replacement model. After his inspection he found that wire had come unplugged from the motherboard, he plugged it back in and reset the system and everything is fine. I also one time needed a pool timer replaced and was quoted $300, seemed high so I called pinch a penny who was at my house in an hour and did it for $140. This place is a scam, I believe them to be fraudulent. I have been trying for 3 days to have somebody contact me and of course they are never available. Don't give these thieves any consideration.
Troy called 45 minutes ahead of time and asked if I would like some coffee which you never hear that from any company that I've dealt with before. he was very professional very good with explaining the terms that I didn't understand he explained it in a way where it's English to me. He took extra time and broke everything down for me and spend time with me and answering all my questions that I had and he wants beyond that extra mile I definitely would recommend Troy and the company for the services 😁

Was not a happy camper this a.m. when I found out they had been sent on another job instead of coming to my home to finish the duct work ($7280.00) they were sent to another job to install a coil? Unfortunately this a.m. was in the 30's and my house registered 54. Which job was more urgent??????? Buddy and Clarence arrived full of apologies for not being able to arrive earlier. Their work was excellent . Their concern about no heat was foremost.I ave been a long standing customer of Performance A/C and I cannot why my job was not considered a priority?
Pasqual was our technician and did a thorough job in about 2 hrs. Installed 2 faucets and unclogged a drain. Professional and polite. I've been pleased with this co. to date. A little pricey but I like the service.
Tech was thorough, cordial and professional.
Especially in cleaning the outside unit.
He replaced 2 heat lamps for more efficient cooling. He recommended future.needs.

I previously utilized Paradise air conditioning and had one more annual maintenance left in my plan. When I initially called to make my appointment I was told they couldn’t find my information or second plan remaining.I found out during the call that Paradise air was sold to performance air conditioning electrical and plumbing. The person over the phone never found my second maintenance plan however she went ahead and scheduled it.On May 31st I had a technician come to my house by the name of Shaun who also came with another tech in training. Shaun spent probably 5 minutes in my house and maybe another 10 minutes outside looking at my unit in the back. After that, over an hour had passed and I wasn’t sure what happened. I walked outside and noticed their work truck was still outside in the parking lot. I called the customer service number and I was told Shaun would be in shortly to review my results of my inspection.Shortly after, Shaun came to my door and reviewed my results. Shaun noted I was low on freon and my 2nd motor starter wasn’t properly working. My write up recommended I do a leak detection and he provided me an estimate for freon per pound as well as the replacement cost for the secondary motor. He provided both nonmembership a membership rates. I took time to review his findings and said I would call them back when I’m ready to schedule the maintenance requirements. My gut feeling was these prices were a little high so I called around and found another air-conditioning company, Len’s Air Conditioning.Len’s air-conditioning company came out and quickly assessed my situation. Yes I needed freon, Unlike performance air conditioning which was going to cost me $236 a pound at a membership rate, Len’s charged me $100 a pound. Yes I needed a new second motor starter however my second motor starter was still under warranty so they didn’t charge me for the replacement unlike precision air conditioning which was going to charge me a rate of $130 for a replacement at the membership rate.Len’s Air Conditioning also noted that my drain line wasn’t cleaned at all. I wish I took pictures of that but Performance air conditioning did not properly clean my drain line which is part of your maintenance plan. Now I may still have a leak on my unit, but for now the freon that was added did the job as well as a replacement for the second motor starter, which they did at the same appointment. At my next follow up appointment with Len’s Air Conditioning we are going to review my freon levels and see if leak detection is really required.My final review for performance air conditioning is everything they found was correct however they’re going to charge you double for everything. Take the time to call around and get a second quote. If it seems to high it probably is.My final charge with Len’s Air Conditioning was $255, that was with a service fee to come out which provided a maintenance review and drain clean, starter replacement which they called a replacement cap and the freon needed.

Have had good experience with this company. When one of their workmen installed something wrong we were sent Marvin to repair mistake and he has worked on our unit since then. He is very knowledgeable and we wouldn’t have anyone else.
I wouldn't use this company if they were the cheapest around. We had multiple 'questionable' experiences and on two occasions, were quoted completely unnecessary work, both of which were thousands of dollars. I will never do business with this company again under any circumstances. If you sort reviews from lowest to higher and read, the trend is pretty noticeable. I should have done that myself from the beginning.

Jeremy & Will we’re extremely professional and experienced technicians who removed my old system and installed a new state-of-the-art A/C unit. When the new system was put online the increased air pressure detached an elbow to one of the vents. Will crawled 60’ under my mobile home to reattach the elbow and secure in place. I’m quite pleased I chose Performance A/C for my HVAC needs!
We had an excellent experience with Performance. Our AC died and couldn't be repaired. Performance offered to bring over a portable AC to get us by until the new system could be installed. The entire crew including Casey and Adrian were very professional and friendly to deal with. Would definitely recommend.

HORRIBLE!!! Choose another company!!!!! Oct 7, 2020, their AC worker tripped over and broke off a fire sprinkler suppression line causing over $1 million damages to three condo units: mold abatement , demolition, storage, restoration, and now stalled rebuild. All three units are still down to 2x4's , completely gutted and this is 7 months later. Performance AC said They would make us whole well, they have completely failed in that regard and their insurance carrier refuses to discuss the claim with all of the home owners and has now referred their obligations to a legal entity to continue the non-response causing endless delays and mounting costs. We have NO choice as homeowners but to give this company an absolutely poor review based upon the totality of the circumstances. We want our home back!!! Performance AC and their insurance carrier American Zurich and McLarens and Network Adjusters, need to step up and make this right as three condo units still remain destroyed. My system has a leak that was costing me hundreds every year. Beau came to the property and was able to easily identify the issue. Within a reasonable amount of time the leak was repaired and the AC felt better than ever! Beau was polite and professional. I would totally do business with them again and recommend to friends/family.
Had performance come out to inspect our downed unit. Claimed a bad compressor among some other issues. Quoted me $4000-$5000 in repairs, placing us in a position to replace the whole unit vs repairing, quoted $8000-$12000 to replace our unit. Had a second company come out for a second opinion (always do this), the unit just needed a new starter capacitor and starter relay, the capacitor was blown into pieces (easy to spot during initial diagnosis and common among trane systems as its a safety feature) total repair cost by a different company was $325.00. Ive used this company numerous times in the past, property management among referrals, now that its my personal property all ive seen was deciept. Honesty does goes a long way, but shady business practices did occur knowingly or not im unsure. Do not trust this company for any repairs, they will improperly diagnose your system to sell you a new one you likely dont need, at the end of the day they are salesman for new units, will never call again, i recommend you STAY AWAY, unless you have 10k you'd like to throw away.

Way way way overpriced. Almost 80% higher than all other quotes I received. Hard sell tactics - give you a couple of hours to accept their offer or it's withdrawn.
We used Paradise Air for routine yearly service on our unit for years. Loved Paradise Air: professional, organized, punctual, trustworthy, and everything you want from a reliable AC company. In February, Paradise Air was acquired by Performance. I called the other day to schedule a yearly check up on our system. Performance couldn't find us in their system, then made an appointment but when I called back to adjust the app. time found out that there was no record of an appointment made. Made another app. but then decided to cancel until I could speak to a manager about our service record (as we would pay in advance for this service-two years at a time-and wanted to find out our status). Got a call the next day that a tech was on their way out, for a service that was canceled the day before. Was finally contacted by a manager who claimed they had no record of service at our address. The next day, received another call from a manager who had no idea another manager had called me the previous day or any of the previous issues. This time, she quickly pulled up our address and name in the system and could view our past payment history and service agreements. What a mess of a company! The lack of organization is concerning. No one has any idea what's going on. Will not be continuing on with Performance and will be making the switch to a new company going forward. I would hate to actually need them in a time of need.

I just closed on a house and it had AC issues. Jonathan, came out to look at my system and spent time diagnosing my system and answering all my questions and concerns, he was knowledgeable and explained the process to me as he worked. I had 4 other techs from different companies come out for diagnostics and they all tried to push me into buying a new system. Jon was the only who wanted to get me back cooling. I will definitely recommend Performance AC.

I’m extremely dissatisfied with this unreliable and unprofessional company. I spent $500 on a repair to my AC unit and 10 hours later I had no Air Conditioning. When I called distressed the answering service begrudgingly took my call and was extremely rude. The service technician showed up the following day and charged a $25.00 service charge after I’d spent $500 the day before for a 6 month diagnostic check. I’ve called multiple times to bring my dismay to their attention and can never reach Ben the service manager. Ben, has yet to return my call and this is going on nearly a week. Bad business and horrendous customer service. Save your time & money and choose another Air Conditioning company.
From beginning to end everything was great. Our salesperson, Jeff was very knowledgeable and not high pressure at all. Then Jeremy, William and Alton our installers were great as well.All went smoothly. The installers were very professional, arrived on time and were very efficient. Were great at keeping our house clean while performing their jobs. It was so extremely hot, I felt sorry for them, having to install the completely new HVAC unit outside and in our attic! They didn't complain, just went about their jobs. Very pleased.

Do not use this company. Read their 27 complaints on the BBB website. Their cookie-cutter responses are another example of poor customer service. In addition, a Paradise Air tech who went over with the company sale, had the Service Manager on speaker phone so we could listen to how the Service Manager rips-off customers on pricing. Well, if they balk on that price, give them this price Worse than a car dealership!This is the reason all the Paradise Air techs quit working for Performance Air!

We had Performance come out to give us estimates for electrical work and AC work. Both technicians gave a greasy sales pitch for WAY overpriced repairs. The AC guy wanted $1400 for a blower motor repair that we ended up getting done elsewhere for $700. The electricians quote for a panel was $2000 more than everybody else, and he never gave us the a la carte prices we asked for. Avoid this company at all costs.
Shaun was the best tech I have ever had for any ac service or repair. Extremely thorough, knowledgeable, did over and above service. Will always ask for him.

I had a water leak in my bathroom pipe. Danny and Pascal did an AMAZING job fixing it perfectly. I will recommend anyone to your company and please let the guys know what a great job they did! Gordon came on July 16th and replaced an HVAC box. He was great! He knew exactly what he was doing. Your company is awesome!
DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLETHEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUI called them to fix my AC, when the tech gets to my house it takes him 5 minutes to replace a piece that costs 20 bucks. He tried to act like he was giving me a deal for charging me $323 instead of $380 and that he would charge me $323 if I would consider using their maintenance package-which I definitely will not. I’ve never felt so ripped off in my life. They made $300 in profit in just 5 minutes. The tech showed me the replaced part and I googled it and it was only 20 DOLLARS! You people should feel sick taking advantage of customers.
We have been Performance Air customers for almost 3 years now. We trust them with all of our HVAC, Electircal and Plumbing needs. All the technicians we have welcomed into our home are personable, courteous, and knowledgeable in their field. Today was no exception.Aaron arrived with a plan to making our new hot water heater work to expectations, as he had studied our concerns and the work others had done in an attempt to fix the problem. The only reason why I chose this company was because they were the only ones offering a good deal on the AC unit I wanted. The service technician or sales person Jonathan Brooks made a lot of promises and once the unit was installed he became completely unavailable. But ofcourse he would answer all calls and texts before the unit was purchased, what a joke. Do not make promises unless you plan to keep them. Right now I am loosing time and money because of their mistakes with communicating with the county to do the correct inspections. What a waste of time. Unneccessary headaches. I will not be doing business with them ever again.
Performance has provided the bulk of our home maintenance and repairs for our AC, Plumbing and electrical work for several years now. We find their staff to be professional, competent, and competitive. Our home recently had an issue with our very old galvanized piping becoming corroded. Another plumbing company provided a quote, but would not be able to complete the repair of repiping our entire downstairs supply lines for 5 months. Performance came in with a quote right in line and was able to get the job done in less than one week from the estimate. Thanks again to the crew!

Second post for yet another horrible experience.We purchased a new AC and air handler from this company just a few years ago. It is still under warranty. We have had multiple outages and have spent half the cost of the original unit on under warranty repairs. They send multiple techs who arrive whenever they feel like it even if outside the time frame communicated. Some techs can't even figure out the problem. Others think they do and charge us for repair only for it to continue breaking.They were supposed to contact us to discuss the ongoing issues. But we have not been given even a courtesy call or email.
Was visited by Jorge to have my annual plumbing check up, very pleasant individual. Very knowledgeable, fixed the one small issue I had on the spot. Was thorough in checking everything else, I had mentioned 2 other concerns for future reference he left me estimates for fixing them. Highly recommend the company. Jorge is great friendly and courteous, knows his trade.
I had a complete A/C install with new RUUD air conditioner and air handler. Daniel L. Came out to do the install. He contacted me to let me know he was on his way and showed up on time. He was very professional, laid down drop clothes everywhere he walked and completely cleaned up after himself. The installation was great. He took the time to make sure everything was installed properly and explained everything he had done. He answered all of my questions and was very patient. Over all, I am very happy with the level of professionalism and the job being completed in a timely fashion. I would gladly recommend Daniel L. to anyone.
A whole house repipe of incoming water was done, due to a leak under the slab. I am very happy with the work they did. The Crew were all friendly and worked well together. Jason the team lead was great, very knowledgeable, kept the crew on task and when mistakes were made very calmly used them as teaching moments and moved on. That to me is a good leader.
Pristine germicidal system installed and blower blade cleaned. Charles answered all my questions and concerns to my satisfaction and showed me his work. He was courteous throughout and graciously respected my request to wear a mask while in my home( I had previously had a service person from a different business react to that request in a negative way so I appreciated Charles being so respectful). I plan to request this technician on future maintenance calls.

They showed up early and stayed on the job until it was done. They cleaned up after themselves and was done at about 3:30 pm. It was hot but they happily kept working until the job was finished. Still dealing with multitude of issues from original install last summer. Customer service is awful, no follow-up after service calls that are complete. No return phone calls when I am told someone will call back. Can't seem to get filters for the New air filter system that was installed - I had to tell them the size (didn't they install it? and it was on the work order) and six weeks later no filters. I can get them on Amazon in two days. This is after they left me the wrong size filters. And after they reinstalled the old 12 year old electronic system during the replacement AC install. Really? That's only the beginning when they wouldn't install the wire for the wireless thermostat (hooked it up wrong, wouldn't hire an electrician and then left with the heat running in August (house was 100 degrees when I arrived home). Asked for an extra gift card $50 dining gift which they were promoting at the time for new install for the debacle and NEVER received.

These guys are sharks, make sure you get quotes elsewhere.I've never in my life been quoted so high over market value, bottom of the line system quote here was $16,000 for a 3 Ton 14 Seer unit.I let the tech know I was knowledgeable in this field after doing some research and he proceeded to offer me the most insane quotes i've received.Go with someone else and do yourself a favor, stay far away from these guys. (Can't imagine how many Older people went and paid the first quote he gave me of $26000 for a 17 seer system, absolutely wild.Run.

This company is great. I had a difficult full AC and Heat unit installation in a small constricted space with out of code plumbing and electrical wiring. The installers, Anthony and Alton kept at it even when faced with numerous code obstacles. Justin made the plumbing right and Lester rewired the air handler to code. Rebecca followed up after the install was completed to make sure I was happy. Throughout the process the communication was good. How many companies still do this? I highly recommend Performance AC.
Everything went great until they left. Ball was dropped. No one showed up for inspection twice. We waited 2 days and no one came. Shroud never came to cover back of house. We had to call to get this done.
Technician Charlie was on time, polite, very knowledgeable and answered any/all questions. I'll recommend Performance AC to all my neighbors!!

Bull arrived on time and asked if there were any problems since our last service call, and then proceeded to inspect and clean the inside unit. He removed the germicidal bulb, and said its appearance requires replacement. Looking up the units history, it was 3 years since last replaced, confirming that replacement was due. He removed and inspected the electronic filter, which was in good conditionHe then performed the electrical checks on the outside condensing unit, washed the coils with garden hose pressure, and applied a wax to the outside surfaces of the unit. Throughout the service call, Bull wore his protective face mask.

After you fill out an online form they say it'll cost $89 to visit your home. The technician showed up with no confirmation. He said it's $89 for him to be there expressed no desire to actually make a repair. I smell a scam. Be transparent up front before I give you my information that it'll cost $89 and not send an unpleasant sales man with his hand out to my home unannounced.
My Tech was very helpful, did an A-1 system check, cleaning and discussed recommendations. Polite and thorough.

Performance AC is excellent. Been using them for a couple of years. They are a one stop shop.Marvin came Saturday and refreshed and repaired my entire AC system andd now it runs almost too good. Marvin was very friendly and professional.Cody came by today to replace and install new electrical panel and did an amazing job in like 5 hours (What would have taken 7 or 8). Cody was friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. Showed me what he was doing and took time to explain and clean up after.I am very impressed and they even worked out the financing too. Can't say enough great things.

One year ago I had them recharge my AC and they charged me 1300.00 dollars I said to the guy that seemed ridiculously high he promised me I could call anywhere and find it’s correct like a busy fool I was at the time I believed him!! He lied I just had the same unit charged this year for 300.00 that means they overcharged me 1000.00 dollars… these people are liars and extremely over priced… I know I should have checked these scammers I was in a hurry because it was for my tenants it’s my fault I won’t get dinged again!!!!!

I had talked to 4 other companies before contacting your company, Performance Air.I wanted the ductless systems installed in our home because of all the study I have done over the past two years. The other 4 companies said they could install the ductless system, but they really thought that the standard system with duct work would be cheaper and better.After talking to these other contractors, I felt they had little or no experience with the ductless air systems.From the first phone call to your office the experience has been exceptional.I talked with your lady Gloria. She was very thorough by asking me several questions that no other companies asked. She should be complemented on her performance. She is a valuable asset.Then I met with your salesman, Ben. He was the first salesman I talked to that knew about the ductless system. He is very knowledgeable of these systems. He listened very carefully, walked through our home explaining details of what we would receive and how it would look. Ben knew what he was talking about and I knew I could trust him and what he said. Another valuable asset.Jeremy, Buddy and all your men were exceptionally great. I have been a contractor for most of my life repairing problems created by other contractors. With this said I am very critical of other people working on our home.Jeremey and crew are extremely polite, worked very hard, and kept everything cleaned up as the worked progressed. My wife and I admire these men for their knowledge and performance. This crew knew what they were doing and did their job perfectly. We had Performance A/C perform an electric service upgrade, circuit box upgrade, adding a timer and wired the pool filter to it and added a couple of outlets in our garage. Doug and his crew of William and Eric did a great job. They showed up on time and took the time to complete this very large effort in one day. Everything was explained to me along the way and all my questions were answered to my satisfaction. We are very happy with the effort and the results. We are glad that our neighbor recommended Performance A/C for this work.

The five stars is for our technician that came out (Danny N in the plumbing department). He worked on our bathroom for the last 2 days. Danny N was great! However, we had issues with management and customer service not relaying information on our project to the technicians on site. Danny N worked to be the middle man to try to help address these concerns. His work was excellent, he was friendly, personable, and professional. He was able to get a lot of work done on a complicated job. I highly recommend his work to anyone. If we were rating the company, there would four stars due to complications and miscommunication between management, technicians, and customer service. The company is making it right based on conversations with them. We have used them for our AC and electric in the past with no issues. They had great, competitive pricing and no other plumber came even close to the price we were quoted. Overall, Danny N was wonderful and we look forward to being able to use our completed project soon.

Jonathan B reviewed everything with me in regards to what repairs would be needed vs. installing a new a/c unit. I didn’t feel like he was just trying to get “the sale”. I have requested that Jonathan B is my service tech going forward. Jonathan scheduled Chris to come out and provide what options I have in regards to replacing the unit. Chris asked questions to determine my needs and listened to me. He was great to work with and has a good sense of humor:). I am scheduled to have my unit replaced next Wed. Robert quickly identified the problem with my HVAC unit and quickly fixed it. Dropped my old company and signed up for a maintenance plan. No complaints. He was friendly and knowledgeable.
Service Manager refusing regular maintenance until they can charge emergency repair rates is downright ugly business. They have rescheduled my “scheduled” maintenance four times since July now quoting late November as the earliest available. Can’t go elsewhere without voiding their labor warranty. Stay away!
I had Kyle out to my house to help with my plumbing issues. My toilet was backing up and then all the sudden started coming up in the shower. Upon his arrival Kyle was very knowledgable and he came to find out that I actually had a main line clog. Kyle was quick and efficient settling my plumbing needs and had everything unclog quickly. I definitely recommend this company and Kyle as well. All around outstanding job and I am very happy.

Leon, our technician, showed up on time (outside of normal business hours after working a 12 hour day already) and gave us great service as if we were his first customer of the day. He took pictures, showed the changes in the performance of our system before and after cleaning and addressed any questions we had. I would recommend Performance to others for sure.

We responded to a google ad for drain clearing for $79. We called for 2 days with just answering services taking messages. Finally someone called back and i told them our tenants are elderly and need their single bathroom to be unclogged and confirmed the $79 but we had to wait another day before someone could get out there. Today the finally showed up and up sold the job nearly triple the advertised price. I told them to leave and I would find an honest company to deal with and treat our elderly folks with respect.
When my a/c went down during the heat wave, my 25 year a/c company could not come to us for at least 2 days. I called Performance who several neighbors use and they sent a tech to us in 2 hours and the tech (Cody) was outstanding fixing the problem in less than 1 hour. Thanks Performance.

Gordon was my Serviceman and he arrived early to fix my A/C issue. Thank goodness it was only a clogged line from algae but Gordon remedied the situation and I'm back to having cool air.
My experience in 2018 - 2020 was 5 star, but the company has changed significantly since then.I recently booked routine maintenance and was not advised of a $90 service fee up front. In addition, $500 for simple AC maintenance is a very high price. I had a good experience when I initially purchased my unit and ducts in 2018, however, I have noticed a change since then. For example, the Performance quotes I received for plumbing work in 2022 were 3 times the amount of quotes received from two other companies. In addition, there were a few times techs didn't show up for appointments (I needed an electrical quote). Also, I feel the multiple quotes that are presented may be a tactic to select one of three quotes (even if the lowest quote is still too expensive). Unfortunately, I will need to find a new AC company to service my unit. I prefer to stay with the same company that originally performed the work, but the pricing is too high.
Performance Air Conditioning installed a new AC unit for us and added a few air returns. We went with the 3 ton Amana 16 seer with dehumidification and we love it so far. But what really stands out about our experience is how wonderful the service has been! Troy was at our home the day our old AC stopped working and stayed until after 10pm to answer all of our questions. Jeremy, our installer, was also excellent. They were knowledgeable, polite and cleaned up after their work. They came back after the install to check the system and make sure we were happy. Their communication is awesome, they respond to texts and calls right away. They were always here when they said they would be. This company has the best follow through and you can just tell they all love what they do. I have no doubt that if we have any issues they'll be back here immediately. I really can't say enough good things about them! Our old unit creeped up from 73° each morning to 80°+ by the evening. We set this new one at 72° - 74° and it maintains that temperature all day and also removes humidity. We're so glad we called Performance Air and decided to go with them for our new unit.
Derek did a great job, diagnosed the issues and made quick repairs, explained the issues including pictures and gave me options for longer term services I may need based on other issues he saw.
Our latest experience with Performance was a plumbing issue. Josh and Aaron were great! We will continue to call Performance for our plumbing, electric or hvac needs!
We were very impressed with the young man for the first time in ten years cleaned out the leafs and stuff from our outside unit.

Especially Cody with the electrical department and Tony with the plumbing team did high quality big jobs for me. Start dates were quick. They went all out to give me a neat and professional install of a new circuit breaker panel and tankless water heater hook up. Both are polite, clean up afterwards and eager to discuss your thoughts or concerns throughout the process. I did get what a payed for. It may cost more than you'd anticipate, but it's nice to get a great completed setup and without waiting for weeks.

Probably the most expensive AC company I've ever dealt with. In addition, be prepared for the tech to be late through no fault of his own as they have the worst dispatch system I've ever seen. Also, Paradise Air was bought by Performance so don't think you're getting Paradise service cause they are long gone.

Fixed my a/c at my business on 06/05/19 ($2,500 charge) then on Friday 06/21 was acting up again . So we called in the morning for a service call. Someone finally came around 4pm, and they left within 2 minutes because they didnt have a ladder. The company should have known that the unit was on the roof from repairing it a couple weeks prior. So they rescheduled for monday. I had to call and make a special request that someone come asap with a ladder to fix it. So they sent someone saturday, I had to come in on a day off and it was a simple fix. They should send technicians with the tools needed. I don't see how you send someone to fix the a/c on the roof without a ladder?
Charles the service Tech was great! He is a great tech to send out for anyone, but seniors will especially want him to work on their equipment. Performance took over the company that did my service and performance and they honor the outstanding system check scheduled and paid for in 2022. Yes, I know by law they would have to do the work, but they still treated us like we were with them for years. I'm not a very trusting person but after these two services calls, we will be using them going forward.If needed, we also planning on using them for the other services they list.
Both Angelo and Tony did a great job replacing our old water shut off valve outside as well as upgrading our pipes on water heater. Very professional and all around great gentlemen.

I had performance come out to give me a quote on a new AC system. The sales guy really promoted their BBB rating and how they wouldn't rest until i was 100% satisfied with the job. I was impressed and decided to have them do the work however i wanted to read some reviews on the unit they quoted me on. Unfortunately the quote didn't give a model number, just that it was a RUUD with built in dehumidification (see photo). So long story short, despite emails, calls and texts to try and find out what RUUD model i would be getting i never got any response. I found it really weird. Anyway, i got a system installed by another company and am completely happy

Leon came out for a routine maintenance call today. I had had some drainage issues with my unit before that caused some flooding so I wanted a tech to come and make sure our system is in good shape still after the last visit.I forgot which outside unit belonged to us and I made the poor guy go down and look at 2 different units before looking at our actual unit. I felt really bad about this but he didnt make a big deal of it.Our system is 10 years old and is very likely not going to hold up much longer. He installed a hard start kit to help our compressor and he charged our freon up to where it should be.Leon was very friendly and was more gracious than he could have been after i made him go up and down the stairs so many times in the heat looking at our neighbors units.I feel confident that we wont have anymore flooding issues now after the last tech came out and now Leon has also checked it.Im very happy with all of the techs this company has sent out so far and the administrators made things right with us by refunding one of the previous bills that should have been a recall after the initial visit failed to solve our flooding issue.I can't ask for anything more from a company.

Finding good service companies is tough in today’s environment. Performance does a good job but Cody in particular on the electric side is exactly what service should be. He not only went the extra mile, he took the time to explain things in a way we could understand, and genuinely cared about giving us good service and keeping our cost in line. Anytime I have an electrical needs yes I’ll be calling Performance but I will be specifically asking for Cody directly. I hope Performance values him as an employee because his service level shows through to the client!

Professional and easy to talk to - did great work, quick and tidy (nice work on the resealing and looks nice against tile floor). Ray installed a whole-house surge protector in our main electrical panel. Only took 30 minutes, and Ray explained everything while I watched. It was a bit pricy, but Tampa has lightning strikes that cause huge power surges. We've got circuit boards in so many appliances (pool equipment, TV, computers, wifi, refrigerator, AC, microwave, etc.) that could all be destroyed with one bad strike. We feel so much safer now with this surge protection.

Terry, please call when you can to resolve all of the issues at my fathers house. Ben said you guys are quitting before the job is complete and trying to close out the permits before the jobs have been fully inspected.UPDATE: Ben the manager called me yesterday to advise that the owner Terry didnt like the fact that we left a 1 star review for their poor service thus far so they would be quitting our project before completion. We contracted well over a month ago. We have been lied to, NoCallNoShowed several times... they tried to bait and switch on a few different things. They had to re-install everything but the HVAC several times due to their Mickey Mouse like craftsmanship. They also dug a trench to run electrical wires and then left the trench open for days while it rained and started to wash away the ground under the pillars for the house and now the house is unlevel and one of the doors are no longer opening properly. Three weeks ago the owner Terry and his Mgr's Norm and Ben were supposed to meet me at my fathers property to see what was taking so long, they called me before 7am that Monday to tell me that Terry had a family emergency and NONE of them would be coming out. This is while my dad is without power, water, or plumbing. He is having to eat out everyday, use the restroom at the closest gas station, and sleep without any heating or cooling. He is 68 years old and this is an atrocious gesture and lack of caring on Performance's I suppose his family emergency is more important than mine??? In the end, my family and I entrusted Performance AC with our plumbing, electrical, and HVAC needs and they dropped the ball in every possible aspect. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN GETTING PRICE QUOTES!!!UPDATE... 2/18/2020 HVAC and Hot water heater were wired wrong but somehow passed an inspection. The hot water heater also leaked. We had to have another company wire the well and we are learning that most of the plumbing is wrong and will not pass and inspection. It’s hard to find a company to help since Performance left us with open permits. BAD NEWS ALL AROUND!!

am very impressed with your company. I appreciated the emails keeping me informed on who the techs were and when they would arrive (with photos most of the time) and also emails with photos of the work you did. The techs were very professional and friendly and constantly kept us informed on what they were doing. The job was well done; my house is nice and warm. What impressed me the most was that 2 days after the work was complete -- and you had been paid -- we called with an issue with the ductwork. Someone came out that very day and resolved the issue satisfactorily. Good job!

I thoroughly enjoyed and I'm exceptionally pleased with the courtesy that our technician Joshua had while in my home. I had originally contacted another air conditioning company and for some reason I went in to look at my air conditioner saw performance air conditioning sticker on there and decided to give them a call and I am a hundred percent not regretting my decision to do that. I will definitely be utilizing performance air conditioning in the future and will definitely let any of my friends and family know about them. I give him a five-star all the way around and appreciate the hard work and the knowledge that Joshua had when he came out to the house and was very thorough of explaining everything that he did and everything that needed to be done.

Marvin who is with performance was a professional from arrival to departure. He is the only one. My wife and I want to do our ac work. We have had him out three times and it has always been a repeat of his professionalism.

There was a problem yesterday (Monday) The tech didn’t show. We called late in the day The office said the rescheduling would have to be for Wednesday. Tommy showed up today. First, the technician couldn't make the appointment set, I get it, this happens, but then we had to remind 3 people that if the technician isn't on time, we didn't have to pay the service call fee. Then the guy measured the amount of freon in our system and knew it was low, but insisted on offering to clean the coils of our indoor unit for over $800 dollars. What a joke! He then supposedly performed a leak test and didn't find a leak. So, we paid for the leak test that he supposedly performed and was done with it. We had another company come out today and gave them the exact same information about the symptoms we were having. THIS technician actually did a leak test and found the leak at the junction of the drier and the copper tubing coming out of the bottom of it. He proceeded to perform the repair (it took about 2.5 hours), and the A/C is working great now. I would like a refund of the fee charged for the supposed leak test that was performed by your technician.

Wouldn’t trust this company if you’re looking for your AC to be repaired😟 We contacted them to stop the drip pan from overflowing and to clear the drain line. It never got repaired even after a couple of visits and $400 later. One of the technicians was too busy trying to upsell us on things that we didn’t require like replacing the AC unit. He advised us that numerous things needed to be replaced and ignored the leak that we requested be fixed. During a second visit we were advised that we didn’t understand that when you say that fixing the drip pan really doesn’t mean that & attempted to charge us another $400. The whole experience left us feeling very suspicious of him and feeling he wasn’t any more than a criminal trying to take advantage of us!!We just had a gentleman; very professional, in from another company who diagnosed the issue that we asked and replaced the drain line for $150.

Unfortunately they are not paradise air, their company took advantage of me because I’m selling my house. All they had to do install a new pad and secure condenser on new pad and secure according to code. They did not level pad, I asked to speak with a manager and they refused. The service cost me more than quoted. Their work was sub par, and the worst part is they don’t care. They didn’t even secure the electrical whip to wall or install new foam around the coolant lines. I would not recommend. I leveled the pad myself and corrected their work. It was extremely expensive for what they did.
Our air conditioner was dying a slow death. We needed service on the weekend but the unit needed to be replaced. This company kept us comfortable. I think all the employees were very courteous and did a phenomenal job from start to finish.

They worked as if this was their own home and even made suggestions to better the original ideas. It was like having a group of big brothers and friends around - caring about the quality of their work and me as a customer. Christian did an excellent job of diagnosing and repairing our problem.8/22/22 I am editing this review because Google will only allow me to post one review for a company. Since Christian took good care of our downstairs HVAC unit, Performance has taken care of two additional problems for us.Jonathan did a steller job of correcting an system problem we were having with our upstairs HVAC unit. He made two trips in the same day to ensure we had air conditioning in our upstairs bedrooms. That kind of customer service is hard to find.A few days later Thomas and Austin fixed a major leak that had developed in our upstairs plumbing. As with the other times that I called Performance, they were out quickly, correctly diagnosed the problem and repaired it quickly. I greatly appreciate the professionalism and speed they brought to this work.In summary, I can say after several experiences, this is one of the best service organizations I have ever dealt with, and I can't recommend them more highly.

The technicians who did the work were excellent. However, the cost was way way overboard. It cost $449 with a $100 coupon for discount otherwise it would have cost $549 to put in a new kitchen faucet( which we had bought on our own) and replace a float valve in the toilet tank. Plus they gave a “ special price” because we joined their “ club” I placed 2 calls to the plumbing manager to discuss this cost. He never returned my calls. I do not recommend this company
I have had Shawn and Marvin for electrical. They both were very thorough and professional. I have also had Chris out to our house for our AC, he was also very thorough and professional.I would highly recommend Performance to any home owner and I will definitely be using them more in the future.

No stars obtained above!!!! This house call was a joke. First, I was never explained that there is a $25.00 charge for coming to my home to give a quote. Second, the tech never told me what was wrong with my ac, after he tested the air handler. Third and lastly, I was quoted a charge of $700.00 to complete the wotk. This is funny because every other tech, from other companies, quoted me between $100.00 and 175.00 for their charge, since the motor was under warranty. I will never call your company again!!!! I have never felt this way from any company with regards to trying to do over charge a customer. You should be a shame if yourselves trying to take advantage of someone who has to live on SSDI and does not have much money. I had to click on one star, but you truly don't deserve that!

Cody and Dan were amazing. Both were professional, very polite. Great with our pets and educational for how best care for our air conditioner and hot water heater. I highly recommend Performance Air.
Our technician did an excellent job of fixing the water heater. He replaced the heating element, flushed out the tank, and replaced the thermostat. He also replace the plastic water supply shut off valve with a brass one.
We used Performance when our air conditioner went out and signed up for the service club on that day. At first I was skeptical, but it saved us some money on that service call, so we figured why not give it a try. I’m glad we did. When we bought our house, we inherited galvanized metal plumbing- it was almost a deal breaker, but we decided to just re-pipe the house one day when we could afford it. When we were finally ready, we saved a lot of money being a part of the performance club. The whole house was re-piped on a schedule that worked for our family, and the workers were very friendly.With the service plan, they’ve tuned up’ our AC, and have done electrical checks. Normally I have buyers remorse for things like this, but I definitely think we got our money’s worth. We have never had any major concerns or complaints about their work. (The repipe took a little longer than we all thought, but I think there were some staffing issues, and we didn’t exactly have a wide open schedule.)Today we had to call for a sewer line back up (not related to the re-pipe) and they were able to send out a technician same day ( on a Saturday even!!!) Jorge was professional, responsive, and the work was done quickly. He answered all of my questions and helped me understand a little more about plumbing in Florida. We have been satisfied with the work that has been done every time. I definitely recommend Performance for your air/plumbing/electrical needs, and if you are a new homeowner or have an older home like ours (b 1939), I recommend getting the service package- it has made our lives easier and we honestly feel ‘special’ when we call. I always feel like performance is really invested in the customer experience, no matter if you are a club member or not- everyone has always been friendly and helpful.

I believe that Performance AC has merged with Pinellas Comfort Systems. I used them to fix an 18 month old Mitsubishi mini split AC unit (I love this AC unit) that services our master bedroom.Found two issues. 1) Tree frogs (7 of them) crawled inside the out door compressor and was potentially causing some issues. They found a way to seal it up. 2) the drain line was blocked and caused the float switch to shut it off. He cleared out the line.The tech was Santiago.The cost was reasonable and the work he did fixed the problem.Happy customer.I will use them again in the future.Highly recommend to friends and family

Beau E. the service tech from Performance Air Conditioning was prompt, courteous and quickly diagnosed the problem with our AC, he quickly ordered the part and was back the next day fixing the repair within the hour. Thank you for Cooling our home so quickly.
They misdiagnosed the problem several times. Charged me over 200 for a guy to come out for 15 minutes and stand at his truck for half of it then leave when it wasn't fixed meanwhile I have the same exact problem as I did before. After telling them I still have the same problem they didn't seem to care and tried to charge me for more repairs, what a joke! My advice to you is stay away from bryant dealers!

I wouldn't use going forward. Their prices are not reasonable and the tech blatantly lied during visit.
Justin, the service tech, did a great job, quickly and at a great price! I highly recommend him and Performance AC, Electrical and Plumbing. This is the third time I’ve used them and all three times have been great experiences.
Was here when promised and when a problem was found, replaced the part that was needed. Left the ac in pristine condition when finished. Wouldn't hesitate to use Bull again. Very professional and knowledgeable.

Terrible Experience with Performance Air Conditioning, Electric, & Plumbing!I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Performance Air, and I suggest not doing business with this company. We went without air conditioning for over a month, thanks to their incompetence and misdiagnosis of our AC problem. They claimed we needed a back-ordered part from Trane, which turned out to be completely unnecessary.While waiting on the backordered part, communication with Performance Air was abysmal, and their lack of follow-up was unacceptable. Despite multiple attempts to reach out to Jason, the manager, we received little to no response. Trevor in dispatch dished out some of the worst customer service by telling us he would try to get a message to the manager. Try? It was frustrating to be left in the dark with no updates or progress on our air conditioning issue. I will say, Kayla, tried to help and was responsive, so the one star is for her.In sheer desperation, we sought a second opinion and contacted Burgess Heating & Air, in Safety Harbor. To our relief, they quickly identified and resolved the problem the same day we reached out to them. Not only did they provide a prompt solution, but they also charged us $500 less than what Performance Air had initially quoted us. This stark contrast in both service and pricing emphasizes the incompetence and overcharging we experienced with Performance Air.Overall, I strongly discourage anyone from using Performance Air. Their failure to address our air conditioning problems, coupled with their misleading diagnosis and poor communication, left us without relief for an unnecessarily long period. Instead, consider reputable alternatives like Burgess Air, who will promptly address your needs at a fair price.

I called Performance (on a Friday) for plumbing work needed at my rental unit. I honestly did not expect service until at least the following Monday or Tuesday. Performance came out on a Sunday and took care of the issue. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this is standard practice for them. The tech's Brian and Zach were awesome. Very professional and clear about what the problems were and the suggested solutions. I was very pleased and would use them again.

Performance was hired to do a large project for my father in law in December of 2019. We hired them for a big project that included all of the trades Performance prides themselves on electrical, plumbing & HVAC work. Should have known things would end up this way when from the start they sent out a plumber to give an estimate on all three. He spent a great deal of time taking pictures and consulting with the other individuals to make sure he gave us the best possible estimate. Once we received the estimate I messaged Dan and told him we were ready to sign up and could he meet us at my father in laws property to go over the contract and sign paperwork so we could get the project started asap. Not only did he not respond for hours but then responded saying that he could not honor the estimate for the original price and that it was going to be thousands of dollars more than what was discussed yet the day before he was Sign today and I'll take even more money off but if I come back tomorrow it will be for the price I gave you today! No big deal, we were ok with the price so when the next day came and not only was the price going to be different but it jumped A LOT. I reached out to the owner Terry and he assured me that things would be taken care of and all would be handled. fast forward a few weeks and things were not only still not anywhere close to being complete but they were also doing a horrible job. We requested that Terry and his managers come out to see for themselves that the quality of the work was not only bad it wasn't done correctly. Terry and his managers Ben & Norman came to the property where not only Terry apologized for his techs work and stated We work on mansions so I apologize for this, we will get this done and complete by end of week. But one of his managers also apologized and said that the work of his techs was embarrassing and he shook his head as he took pictures to go over with his staff. Not only did they leave my father in laws property a mess and unfinished BUT when I left a review for the owner to call me so that we could handle the situation instead of doing so he decided to have one of his managers call and fire us from completing the work and threatened to have the permits closed out even though the work isn't complete. Not only is that poor business but it's a coward move!! My father in law is 68 and living in a home that has no power, no running water and no AC/Heat because of their lack of professionalism, quality of their work and ability to communicate with their clients.They left holes all over the yard where they were working on electrical, covers missing on AC wires/pipes, plumbing equipment/pipes all over the yard and just a complete mess that my husband and I will have to cleanup and try to make sense of. Very disheartening to have a conversation with an owner that assures you We're not like the rest and then this is what we get?!?! How can he give me his word that he's going to make things better and then when I come to him with real time feedback or call and ask for him to call me over and over leaving messages and he never gets back to me what am I supposed to do? Leave a 1 star review asking for him to call me and instead of doing so he QUITS the job and basically tells me to Kiss off with his actions instead?!?!

Chris came for a routine service call on our 15 year old A/C and things escalated rather quickly when we saw the mold on the unit. He didn't scare us into making a decision but walked us through the facts of the matter in a very clear way that set our minds at ease. He spent awhile drawing us up an estimate of four options and was incredibly thorough, helpful and kind. We left the experience looking forward to a new and healthier system. Jeremy and Buddy came to install and were very timely, professional and friendly. They took the time to answer all of my questions and left us feeling confident and in good hands. Shawn finished the job with the electrical aspects and truly went above and beyond. There was a small pile of inevitable dust when he was done and instead of sweeping just that pile he essentially swept the entire front room. We are so happy with our choice in Performance Air and can not recommend them highly enough.

Troy with Performance Air Conditioning was most helpful with detecting origin of issues and arranging for repairs to keep our equipment functioning at peak performance. He seems to genuinely care about his customers.Great diagnosis to get the indoor heat transfer replacement warranty parts ordered to get our air functioning again. Dan and Marvin managed roof work during the exceedingly high winds.The team of Buddy and Clarence were highly skilled installers. Very personable, organized and efficient. The addition of the oxidizing UVC system should be very beneficial. Will enjoy having Buddy and Clarence return again!
I contacted Performance AC with a problem and Shaun S. came today to perform the service. Upon inspection, he found that prior service technicians had not performed the regular maintenance on my AC system that they had indicated as completed on invoices. Not only did Shaun perform the maintenance needed, he checked the entire system to make sure that everything was operating properly and that nothing else had been neglected. He apologized profusely for the mistakes that had been made and made sure that I would not be charged for the maintenance plan for the next year. He also assured me that he would be the technician who would come out for my next scheduled service. He was very well mannered, professional and did an excellent job. He made sure that any mess from servicing my AC system was cleaned up and that my house was in order before he left. He also answered all of my questions thoroughly. My faith in this company has been restored and I highly recommend them.

They came to the house and wanted to charge $1500 to fix a part on the unit. We were desperate and almost paid it we called two other people for a second opinion. They came out and said everything the guy told us was bs. We paid him $130 and it was fixed within 5-10 mins.

CHECK BBB AND FACEBOOK BEFORE HIRING. Check your Better Business Bureau, Facebook, and community Next Door App before even thinking about this company. These google reviews do not even come close to what others are saying. They are corrupt, unprofessional, do shoddy work and repairs, and do not even bother to call you back when you are under warranty with them. My AC still is not working right since last May, and a repair they did on my shower broke, and no one will even call back to get this fixed when they should still be honoring their repair. They have been the sole service for my AC, it is under warranty with them, they installed it, and they cannot fix it. The humidity in my house is reaching 80% and my electric bill is almost $400 a month now. They were here this week and their only comment was that they would have to get back to use on what is wrong with the AC. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. you will waste your time and money.

This is the most unprofessional, AC company in Florida by far. First of all, they were half an hour late to the appointment. Second of all, the guy wanted to charge me $1,500. For a part that costed me $137.00. It literally took me 45 seconds to put it in. And he had the nerve to say? If that's not the issue, I can't refund you the $1,500. So basically you are gonna play a guessing game with the equipment that you guys installed in 2017 and gave me10 year warranty on it which Expires in 2027.DON'T BOTHER GOING WITH THEM UNLESS IF YOU WANNA BE RIPPED OFF AND FEED YOU BUNCH OF LIES!!!!!!

Stephen M did a great job clearing a drain. Found a rag from a painter or cleaner that was in our house that we just moved into. He was really helpful and nice guy.
They cleaned the drain alright however still did not drain? I spent hours helping tech to fix drain however he left with it not fix and I had already paid! Company sent another tech out next day who could not fix drain as well! I paid ridiculous price of 406.00 to not fix my problem!! My wife tried to complain but was told the manager was out sick and would call back in 24 hours? They never called and left us with no AC! They did however Qoute us 1050.00 to run 15 feet of pvc to fix problem however I would still have to pay the 406.00 dollars totaling 1456.00?? I lost two days of work over this..the company I started with years ago got bought out by these guys!!!Way over priced and don’t care about the customer I’m done with these guys!!!!Oh I ended up fixing it myself days later!! The tech moved the angle of my pipe when he pulled it off the wall causing an air trap!! What a joke!!
Thomas was one of the nicest people we have ever met. He carefully explained everything before, during and after the work was done. We’ve been using Performance AC for the last few years for AC and plumbing and couldn’t be happier with their services. If you want something done right the first time with a guarantee, give them a call.

Performance showed up when they said they would, communicated every step along the way everything, showed me the old defective A/C piece they removed and they charged less (I had a second estimate from another company). I would definitely use them again.
We have 14 vacation rental properties between treasure Island and Indian rocks Beach. We have worked with one AC company over the past 10 years called Paradise Air and had maintenance agreements across all of our properties and were provided wonderful service and value over the years. This company acquired Paradise last year and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. First off, I reached out after I realized our quarterly maintenance was not done and that is how I found out that Performance had acquired Paradise Air. You would think that a company of their size that acquired another company would have the decency and smarts to reach out to those clients and introduce themselves. Had I not realized that my maintenances were not completed on time, I don’t know that I ever would’ve heard from them. By the way, those maintenance contracts are pre-paid annually. I had one of our units air-conditioning systems fail Tuesday, their technician showed up a day late to look at the system today. Their standard line when their technicians do not show up for the appointment window is that they got held up on their previous job. Today we were told the system needs to be completely replaced based on its age and cost effectiveness of repairing it. I am not in disagreement with that, however, this particular unit is in a building with nine other units. I have replaced two of those systems in the past 14 months and paid just under $6000 previously. The quote they gave me today was $11,900, which is absurd and obviously extreme price gouging. When I told the gentleman that his price was ridiculous and that I had just replaced two units in the last year at roughly $6000 apiece, he immediately said “well what price did you have in mind?” Since that call I called two local companies and were given estimates in the $7500 range. Buyer beware, these people are CROOKS!

Following a bad experience trying to get a service appointment booked with another AC company I decided to call Performance AC given their good reviews. I am very happy with the appointment booking process and then the tech, Steven S., was on time, very professional and knowledgeable. Identified my AC problem quickly and was able to replace part with inventory he had in service truck. No comments made about existing AC unit and clearly was here just to fix my AC problem not try to sell me a new AC unit. Will definitely use them in the future
Marvin was tasked with removing and replacing 3 GFCI outlets on the exterior of our house. He was very clear about what he needed to do and very quickly and cleanly accomplished the job. Had Beau E repair and perform maintenance on my system today. I had an extremely backed up condensation/water problem. He came, very courteous and knowledgeable. Beau took a look and explained the problem right away. I signed up for the yearly maintenance program which is a no-brainer. He had it fixed in no time. My second appointment with Performance went well. Garrett, the Tech that performed my service, was the type of employee that I want coming to my house. He was professional, communicative, goods listener and had an attention to detail to make sure my problem was fixed.I would definitely want him again.
Jeremy and Will did an excellent job installing our A/C and heating system. The arrived on time and had the installation done in 5.5 hours. They explained the system and answered all our questions.
Justin responded to my home and Friday evening and was able to stop a massive leak from my main drain pipe. He and Tony came back on Saturday and methodically diagnosed the issues the happened and were able to unclog my main sewer drain and repair a defect Bowl ring the cause the flooding in my garage. Justin and Tony were professional and made sure we were satisfied with their work. It turned out to be a good call to their office. I recommend them highly for their knowledge of the problem and the steps they took to solve it. I will use them again.

Had a smart thermostat installed. We have used performance air for many years for our air conditioning needs and told them exactly what we wanted done. I try to remain loyal. The price for installation was ridiculously high. They even charged us an extra $89 as a diagnostic fee. Most places wave that if you let them do the work. They said they would wave it if we were paying for their service contract-which we always had, but some how it stopped being automatically renewed. Our fault for not calling around and asking for quotes. Will do that from now on instead of always using them.Thank you for addressing the problem and contacting me. Will change rating.

I give the guys in the field 4-5 stars. They get on it, explain it well and get done. But, I find the office personnel lacking. I would give them 1-2 stars. They don’t know any answers and they seem to take their sweet time in notifying the people that do. I called at 8pm to notify of the problem. At 10pm I tried again. They said that they just found out about it. 2 hours later? Of course by then it was too late to do anything. I pay for some special yearly membership package that’s supposed to help me in times like this. It’s a waste of money, apparently.

Buyer beware!! This company bought out Pinellas Comfort Systems. If you liked the business practices of PCS, you will be very disappointed with Performance Air. According to Jason Dorris, HVAC service manager, they charge a flat rate and they will not itemize the charges. I paid $629 to have a motor replaced which was covered under warranty. When I asked how much was labor and proof that the motor was covered by warranty, Jason would not give me that info. I was told I should not have agreed to the job if I wanted a breakdown of the charges. I was expecting to see that info on my receipt after the job was completed which I did not get. All I can say is buyer beware and I will not do business with them again. Lesson learned the hard way.
Repairman Warren J. was on time, personable, knowledgable. Knew the issue I was having with compressor and diagnosed it quickly. Showing me how and why the repair was needed. The Comfort Advisor, Mike D. was at my door within an hour and a half.He, too, was helpful explaining the repair and offered more than one estimate for consideration. I do recommend this Company for your AC/ Heat/Plumbing needs.

The first thing that made me very happy was when Ben offered to bring a portable AC for my office because I work from home. Casey and Frank arrived on time and were professional and knowledgeable about what they were doing. While I worked in my cool office they did what needed to be done. My a/c stopped working days before I had scheduled a spring check-up with Performance A/C, so I called and got A/C Tech Cody assigned to come make the repair. Cody is very professional, courteous and diligent in his work. He found the problem, which was serious enough that it could have caught on fire! He just may have saved my life! He replaced the High Voltage Safety Interruptor, and got my a/c working again. Cody took pictures and was very thorough in his work. I can't say enough good things about this young man and how much I appreciate Performance Air Conditioning, Electrical and Plumbing.

I recently had Performance AC install a new heatpump system in our house. I wanted to continue using ecobee thermostats to control my home's two zone system with phone app and Alexa voice control. Called Performance Friday morning and they had a tech here by mid afternoon. Erik was very professional, and did an excellent job. He left us in good shape to receive the new washer and dryer that was to arrive on Saturday. ( the old dryer fried the outlet and failed to trip the breaker)Thank you PerformancUpdate: Our new washer dryer came with a 4 prong plug. We had a 3 prong outlet installed. We called and were given an ETA of between 10 and 2 pm which was ok. Erik was here at 8:30am. What fantastic service!! Thank you, Performance!!!

Purchased a Trane heating and cooling system from Performance.Had a semi annual maintenance contract and because I am in Sarasota I had to call to remind them when the service was due. Always a issue trying to get someone scheduled. Not very responsive. Was just advised that my contract expired in August without prior notification and I am now out of their service area. Dropped just like that. Nice way to demonstrate customer retention.

I was told between 100-125. The plumber showed up without the tools needed to unclog a simple drain. They went to Home Depot. He came back and five minutes later they charged me $179.00 one of the biggest ripoff. Buyers beware!!

Steven was here today, and also on the 17th to do a maintenance on our new ac unit, installed nine months ago. In these difficult times, he was super aware of my concerns and had all protective gear on to keep us both safe. He performed his work quickly, and didn’t linger in the house any longer than he needed to. He also made arrangements for another tech to come about another matter. He returned today to add a serge protector to our ac unit. He completed the paperwork in his truck to avoid an virus exposure for either one of us. Under the other name they operate under, Pinellas Comfort Systems, we got a new installation that replaced all the old components of the system besides ductwork on 3/23/2020. They installed a new drain pan and emergency condensation water level cutoff switch at that time. On 8/30/2022 I discovered my ceiling leaking condensate water, destroying ceiling and wall drywall, because the emergency level switch failed to function. Their technician came the next day and said the cutoff switch was not installed properly and that he fixed the switch at that time. On 8/17/2023 I discovered my ceiling once again leaking condensate water because the emergency cutoff switch once again failed to work, again destroying ceiling and wall drywall. To have spent over $11,000 with this company, and having this happen TWICE now...I cannot put into words how frustrated I am at this moment in time. A tech from their Performance Air Conditioning brand came the next day on 8/18/2023, and the company refused to take responsibility for their negligent installation and wanted over $500 to fix the issue they should have corrected at no charge to us.

I'd give 0 stars if I could. Was quoted at $675 for 3 receptacles and to mount an oven hood. They did not mount the oven hood, one of the receptacles no longer works from another switch and the bill came to $775. Almost $1,000 to change 2 receptacles and leave 1 receptacle NOT WORKING. Carla from 'customer relations' has a nasty attitude, hates talking to customers and hates life. If she doesn't quit, she should be fired. Horrible experience.

We had a sudden leak after changing our water filter, after another plumber said they wouldn't touch it because it was attached to the filter, I called Performance, Aaron showed up when he said he would and within an hour had us fixed, no leaks and no mess. I will absolutely use them in the future.

Our AC had stopped cooling in the middle of the night. Derek checked the unit and advised us of the problem which was a breaker in the electrical box. It had tripped when the compressor pulls more amps due to a power surge. Upon diagnosis, fee estimate for a part, we proceeded to have the system upgraded. Derek added a crank ampassist kit.Derek was very professional and courteous. It was a pleasure having this individual in our home. Performance has always been efficient in taking care of our air conditioning needs. The yearly service plan has been a major benefit in aiding a homeowner in timely & proper maintanance.

We can't find words descriptive enough to describe his efforts while working in the rain with an umbrella. Update 7/01/22 - purchased AC and warranty from AC performance air. In the warranty it stipulates that if unit cannot be fixed it will be reimbursed. We have had 3 months with no AC. Thanks Performace AC for your absolute inability to keep us updated or work with us during the summer. We get that you cannot fix it but atleast keep us updated on when these magic parts will arrive. You installed the unit. You sold us the extended parts and labor warranty. You need to own it.04/11/22 : recently we have had our concerns with Performance A/C and this week we were let down once again. Unfortunately they were unable to diagnose the board problem for over 2 weeks and now the board is completely not working and AC isn’t working. They then proceeded to tell us that the warranty covers the part but they cannot get the part for weeks. The warranty mentions that inability to get the part timely would allow us to get the price back for the AC we bought from them a couple years ago plus the warranty cost. This AC has had a major problem yearly and glad we had the warranty because if not we would have been out 14k+ in just parts. Unfortunately their inability to get the part timely could turn this into a potential legal issue if it doesn’t get fixed timely. We asked the Service manager to contact us but still have not received a response from him. While we understand this is the busy time of the year we will still would like to be contacted. Offering a response on here that you don’t know who we are is rather silly. You know who we are and I suggest you actually call us as we requested

Our A/C unit quit working this morning after the weekend tropical storms. We called around to several places and landed on this company and are we glad we came across them. I believe we spoke to Laurie on the phone who was so kind and set us up with someone to come out this afternoon as soon as possible after hearing our son crying in the background of the call. Robert, who came out to do the repairs, was very thorough in diagnosing the problems (primary and secondary motors fried) and explained everything with transparent pricing before doing any work. After our experience today we signed up for their Total Home Care program and are very satisfied and happy to work with this company again in the future.

The office staff are polite and friendly.However I called one night to cancel an appointment then had to call the office again the next morning because I got a text that the tech was on his way.Another time I had an AC tech try to fix a problem I had and I ended up finding a company that came out that night and fixed the problem.(at least temporarily)Gordon D came out to replace a part and replaced it quickly and effeintly and checked over my AC carefully and gave me some expert advice about how to resolve a problem I was having and I really appreciate his helpfulness.Eric F worked very hard to replace and repair 11 lights in my house.Replaced backflow and cut off valve over three different days.The only problem was I was asked at least twice what needed to be done and I feel that is something they should have known.Otherwise they always done a professional job

Had a new AC system (pump & handler) as well as some return vents installed in September. The guys who were here to install the system were fantastic. Can't say enough about what a great job they did, their professionalism, and their attention to detail. My problems came after install hence the not 5 star review. One of the return vents could not be placed due to spacing but I was still charged for the job. I had to call my sales rep every week for a month to finally get the credit applied to my balance rather than my account. I was also told they would notify me when they scheduled my permit inspection. Months passed before I called and they said I could schedule it anytime. I choose a date and they said they would schedule it with the city and I can call the city on the day of to find out my time window. I called the city on the day of and there was no record of an appointment! I had to make it myself. In summary, all the work is exceptional, but my experience outside the home visits has been less than stellar.

This company provides the employees with such poor equipment that two techs were unable to find leak in our system in the spring so they said it must be fixed somehow. Months later after our AC wasn't working well again, a third tech, that had purchased his own equipment came and found the leak. They charged us for coolant a second time even though it wouldn't have been so low if they had found the leak the first two times they came out months ago. No one from the local office will call us back to discuss the issue. We got stuck with this company after they bought the company we used to install the system so our warranty is through them but even with parts covered under warranty their quote just for the labor to fix the leak was more than another companies quote for parts, labor and to fill our coolant. ***Edited to add that the company has responded to this review saying that they are pleased we were able to resolve your concerns to your satisfaction when they have not resolved the issue in any way!***

Extremely happy with the service I have received. Troy was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and provided incredible customer service. He took the time to explain everything to me and was personable and helped me understand everything I needed to know in ways I could understand. He took the time to get as many details as possible for us to make the most informed decisions and went above and beyond to make the process of getting a new unit installed.

I had a new Ac unit installed back in Nov of 2021. At the time they were going through a merger with paradise air and performance ac. I bought an extended ac service contract as well. So far this year they have canceled 2 times pushing out a total of 5 months… the the time they get out here it won’t even be summer anymore. On top of that they say they can’t even find the records due to the system change. This company basically stole my money for the service contract and are saying to bad so sad. I called them to talk to a manager and they stonewalled me saying they will send an email. I don’t ever plan to hear anything back from them. I wouldn’t trust a company that doesn’t stand by their word or attempt to make things right.

Run! Do not let this company anywhere near your A/C. Performance bought the company (Pinellas Comfort Systems) who originally installed my AC unit. I mistakingly thought they would be a reputable replacement so I called them in late April and they sent their technician Leon out to service my A/C that was making a rattling noise. Leon said we needed two parts and one was on back order and we would need to be without AC. That broke one of their values (no break down guarantee). Weeks went by and no one contacted us for a status update. I had to call and go through Kayla each time who was the only person I could get to call me back. I had a terrible experience with Trevor, Jason and Ian. Jason is a manager but doesn’t like to call customers back. Trevor has an attitude and never knows what is going on with your case. He will say things like “I’ll try to take a message” or , “I’ll try to look into this for you.” You’ll try? And Ian once picked up the phone while I had the manufacturer on the line to assist me with understanding what part numbers were on back order and Ian told both of us that his shift was over so he was going home and would not help us. Why even pick up the phone? I did research and decided to get a second opinion with another company. Who laughed at these guys and their terrible misdiagnosis of the problem. Turns out I only needed one part and that was in stock. The other company had us up and running in three hours. I made a mistake so you don’t have to. Stay away.

My Ac stopped working this morning. Called and got a technician by 11am! Scott came diagnosed the problem, went above and beyond to fix it. He was very polite and personable! 10/10 would ask for Scott again by far the best experience I’ve had in a while with a repair tech. Thank you for keeping my house cool in the Florida heat!

Chris, Casey and Clarence (Sales and Installation) are fantastic. My HVAC died after moving into my new home three years ago. I now am a proud owner of a two stage Trane. Even Norman the plumber division was excellent. He removed and capped off an old heat exchange box. The side of the house looks so much better. They either were incompetent or flat out tried to scam me for over $3000!!! They said my main breaker was damaged and needed to be placed immediately as it was damaged. The quote they gave me was ridiculous, so I called an electrician who I'd used previous who said they were totally scamming me. My main breaker was fine. Scheduling was also a nightmare. I'd get a text saying one arrival time, then immediately get an email saying they couldn't come until the next day. I strongly recommend you don't use this company.
Cold on a Saturday evening and was told that the first available appointment was Wednesday sometime. Probably That is unacceptable and hence my one-star score.

A/C not working late at night. The technician was on site within an hour.Johnathan was on site for my scheduled A/C tune up/check up. The appointment time frame was 11 AM-1 PM and he arrived at the beginning of the period. After checking thingsout he declared everything was working fine. He made asuggestion, to help with the unit start up, which I followed.Daniel R. Was there to replace the brand new faucet that Josh had installed when he was here. Let me make it clear there was absolutely nothing wrong with the faucet. It’s just that I missed the sprayer that was an integral part of it . So while not economically sound on my part, I wanted the sprayer..Dan R. arrived at the beginning of the time frame and was very pleasant.Lonnie arrived on 6/5/21 and we talked about the A/C unit and the drain system. He got it running in several minutes and removed the secondary block that was causing the problem.

Mike C was out today doing a prevented maintenance on all my rentals and he was very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. He explained necessary repairs and the reasons for them. Performance Air has for many years looked after my properties and i have never had a bad experience. It is highly recommended that you sign up for their preventative maintenance programs to head off future major repairs. Their technicians are the best trained and very courteous and professional. Performance comes through again...... these guy just keep amazing me--they have it all figured out. Sean L came by to check a clogged drain--found it was actually a screen in a sink-- told me just pull it out and clean--instantly the drain was fine he made a few suggestions about getting a new toilet as the household is getting up in age and we could use something that made it easier to get up and down without too much effort. I am thinking we will do that when the virus quarantine is lifted--5 stars guys you earn it every time.

This past year they have not shown up when scheduled; our a/c always seems to have problems within a few months of their twice yearly service checkup; and the company's primary interest involves us buying a new unit. This Trane unit is less than 8 years old. We bought it from Performance Air and they maintain it via a contract. Trane itself says properly maintained units typically last much longer than 7 to 8 years.Bottom line, we're looking for another a/c company.HughesGulfport FL

Anthony provided very good servicing of our AC unit here at our Salvador Condo. Eric K came back to fix a PVC drain pipe leak that we had. Both Eric and Anthony were very thorough and attentive in his work. Very personable and professional on all fronts. Eric is extremely knowledgeable and very seasoned in all aspects of air conditioning operations and repairs. Based on our experience with these two service personnel we will use Performance AC, electrical and plumbing for all our service needs

Guy came out for a regular maintenance on my ac that was working perfectly. He broke my disconnect box and tried to sell me a memebership and outrageous price to fix it!!!! Went from having a perfect ac to having none !!!!! Had to call another company to fix and they charged me a tenth of the price. Stay away from these people they are scammers!

I saw there work(family) installing ac and the Condenser was installed with the name plate facing the wall. was told so better access to electric Wrong. The copper is exposed to getting damaged. Do not let them tell you this is the way. They will not correct there poor install. Air handler was good.

Have used them for several years now on both my primary home and rental property. They've always been great about communicating to me when they're going to be there, or if they're going to be late due to another project going longer than expected. Very friendly staff from the woman who answers the phone to the actual HVAC techs. There has been more than one occasion where they've saved me money where other services might have overcharged me and I truly appreciate that. Great trustworthy company.

For the past couple years I've used Paradise AC. Well to my dismay they were purchased by performance. When my 95 year old mother's AC shut off she called Paradise. She was charged a TOTAL of $401 for a clogged condensate line!!!!!!!! Her line is only 5 feet long. It was literally a 20 minute job from start to finish. They apparently like to take advantage of the elderly.Now for my own personal experience, I had Paradise install my AC unit about a year ago. It came with a 2 year warranty. When the thermostat went out I called Paradise and got Performance. I was given a window of arrival from 10-2pm. When 2pm rolled around I called and asked where he was. I was told he was still at his first job of the day. No one bothered to call me. He didn't arrive until 4pm! I waited from 10 to 4pm for this guy. I was told I needed a new thermostat and would need to wait until they got one in. I was told it would be $356 just for the labor. I had to explain that Paradise gave me a 2 year parts and labor warranty. They finally looked it up and said they were wrong and installed it at no charge. I'll NEVER use these guys again.

The technician was fantastic. Very professional and knowledgeable. The price was extremely high. I actually called 3 other places and their quotes were around $200 less than the $400 Performance charged me. I wouldn't choose the company again but the tech was great.
Regular maintenance and got a quote for water softener. Josh was very professional and helpful answering all my questions.
The company rescheduled 4 times. Then conducted regular maintenance and my AC is not working It’s 87 degrees in my home and they are going to send a technician out tomorrow. Jason, the manager is non responsive. And is voicemail stays full. Please do your business with another company.

They gave us a $10, 000 estimate when it was only a blown fuse they could have fixed. I got 3 estimates after them that came in at roughly$6500. They put in the original A/C 8 years ago. We have been on their maintenance program on these years. Sorry I didn’t pull away years ago. Bad Business

My A/C stopped working due to a bad compressor. On 4/No cold air. Unit is broken. Ordering a new unit today! This was a wonderful service. Hopefully by Tuesday, the new unit will be installed.
Your technician, Scott Vogan, was extremely diligent, conscientious and found the problem and fixed it after some hours of troubleshooting. I rate his ability and hard work in the heat as above and beyond 10 stars. Florida has been very hot this summer and his efforts were outstanding. Thank you!!!!

A/c not working properly. Repairman Garrett came out on time. Very professional and thorough. I explained my situation financially and told him my son had HVAC business up north and would want to know problem. He provided me with pictures, diagnostics and invoice so I could Email his findings to my Son. He completed work very timely and explained what was being done in layman's term so I understood. I cannot say enough good about this tech and how impressed I am with this company. I would give 10 stars if it was possible. Thank you so much.

My yearly maintenance found and fixed performance issues!Shaun my excellent technician found air duct leaks and fixed nagging problems with the A/C system by crawling up into hot attic several times to diagnose a problem with humidity. He also brought to light possible future issues with photos and provided great quotes to fix. He was courteous and efficient and listened well and completed the job on time. I recommend Performance A/C. They have been my company for over 10 years.
Do not use this company......The owner is a very sick man he doesn't pay his employees and he rips off his customers.He also has multiple felonies

Chris aka Bull came out today to look at a small mold spot that I had gotten a estimate from my regular ac service in the 4 figures to correct. Upon looking around he quickly told me that the work recommended was completely unnecessary but advised me on what would be the correct and cheapest way for my problem to be fixed. Even though this time they couldn't fix it as easily he still recommended what was best for me. I will definitely come back to them when I have need of any ac services simply for the refreshing honesty shown. Right on.

I have been a loyal customer for 10 years to Paradise Air and now it is Performance Air. I have purchased 5 new AC units in that time from them between two homes. Last November I purchased a new AC unit for my master bedroom. This is now the second time it has stopped working in less than a year. (I service them regularly as well.) I called Friday morning to get an appointment. They scheduled me that afternoon, only to call two hours later to cancel and reschedule for Saturday because “I wasn’t a priority because I have other units to cool.” Then Saturday morning they called to say they weren’t coming and needed to reschedule for next week. What kind of service is that? What kind of loyalty is that to good customers? They should be ashamed of themselves treating customers this way. I will be taking my business elsewhere.Update: A woman called me after my review to try and make this right. I appreciated her effort and was willing to give Performance another chance. I already paid another company to fix my issue so nothing was needed there. However she asked to have a supervisor visit and take a look at the new unit that has now failed twice to look it over. In addition, I asked to have all three of my units serviced on this day for maintenance. The technician shows up to just service the unit I already had fixed and knew nothing about servicing my units for maintenance. So again, I stand by my first review. Very poor customer service. When I tried to call to speak about this issue after the technician left no one could help me. I asked for a supervisor and no one was available. The employee could only help me reschedule. Waste of time and I will take my business elsewhere.

We had a new unit (condenser, compress, new duct work, basically everything) installed less than 5 years ago. It has now broken down on us twice, complete and total failure of the unit. We were enrolled in their service maintenance plan as well, scheduled the proper maintenance as advised and most of the time they never showed or tried to reschedule same day (total waste of money and time). The real coup de grâce, we had maintenance service on the unit from there $59 Seasonal Tune-up Special (NO BREAKDOWN GUARANTEE) on 6/27 - nothing wrong with it, just wanted it serviced for the summer. On 6/29 the AC started to fail, would not get below 78 and constantly ran. They came back out on 6/30 and fixed it only for it to completely fail on us today, 7/10. Called in for the advertised same day service - it doesn't exist - so we'll enjoy our hot box of a house until they decide integrity is a business principle they actually want to practice.

We had very minimal plumbing work completed Friday morning and to my surprise the estimate jumped to over 300.00 for 45 minutes of work. I have been patient waiting for three days for the plumbing manager to return my calls, but every time I call he is not available. This is after I had them install a new A/C system two months ago. Terrible customer service. If the owner is Terry and you read this please call me you have my messages. Thank you.
Beware of this company.The A/C quit in a rental unit I own. Called Performance to repair it. The technician called telling me the repair would be approx. $1100 and considering the age and condition he recommended replacement and would provide cost of a new one. The service charge for this was $124. As time was of the essence for my tenant I called another company, Pinellas Heat Pump. I told him the situation and asked if he would look at the system and provide an estimate for a new unit. He stopped by later the same day, called said it was repaired and billed me $150 for labor and part. He did confirm that the unit was old and needed cleaning but that it was running at high capacity and could last for months or even several years. It is now 4 months later, no problem. Performance A/C appears to be in the business of selling (comparatively) very high cost a/c systems and exaggerating the cost of repairs.
Cody E. was polite and professional. He listened attentively and answered all of my questions. I am considering adding a vent into my upstairs hallway...and my experience with him leans me in the direction to have the work done...confident that Cody will do the job well.

Been without a working AC which they warranty for 10 years parts and labor for over 4 weeks now. This particular warranty was an extra warranty they provided us at a large cost. They told me that there was a delay in the parts but I find it unprofessional that they don’t keep us updated weekly. They didn’t even offer spot coolers to help and we had to go buy them in order to keep some rooms cold. Why even bother to sell a warranty if you cannot service the unit is beyond me. Next step is legal as there is a clause in their warranty English that says they must replace the entire unit if they cannot fix it. I will provide updates here.

Both service calls were covered under the Performance Club membership. Dealing with Performance personal has been a consistently good experience and we highly recommend the company.

Service was all around top notch. The technician Kyle was doing work at my mothers house in Clearwater and he did a fantastic job. He was polite and very hardworking. One of our bathrooms was clogged and he got it cleared up right away. Excellent service. We will definitely use this company and Kyle again for any issues we have in the future.
I use this company as it was suggest by my landlords buddy who works there my service tech who came out was Robert Clark I'm very unhappy a new unit was installed friday he was here all day soon as he left it went out and he said a part had to be ordered without any help or accomadations me my 2 year old daughter and my roomate have hat to sleep in 90• degree weather all weekend long then on Monday when I called I had to call 10 times just to have someone come up and now the guy is still having issues and saying he can't do demo so now I have to get a another ticket put in when all of this should of been taken care of th on the 16th
On September 22 Josh installed a drain cleaning unit that resolved our automatic system turn-off issue. He arrived on time, explained the nature of the problem and his intended solution and then got right to work. The problem was resolved and then he completed the regular fall maintenance on our system. We were especially pleased that Performance was able to resolve our call for help within 24 hours ! Josh was very personable and professional and is a real tribute to the Performance organization. We renewed our annual maintenance membership based on this successful experience.October 11, Eric T. replaced our AC's evaporator coil, which had sprung a small leak while under warranty. He performed the lengthy project professionally and the unit has been cooling our home very well since his visit. He was personable and professional as well as efficient. We would be glad to see him again.Austin T. is a top notch addition to your plumbing staff. He called ahead, arrived on time and worked through an extensive list of plumbing repairs/replacements that we had not felt comfortable trusting other plumbers to handle. *Update: just received the promised refund check in mail so I increased my review to two stars. At least they followed through on that.*Despite my paying for their twice-per-year maintenance contract and scheduling my maintenance appointment several months out, they cancelled my appointment with 1 day notice and said next availability was in another 2 months. Currently waiting on a promised $75 refund for their failure to deliver but am not optimistic they will deliver on that promise either. Didn't even get a sincere apology or explanation. I do not recommend.

Performance AC sent an excellent technician to fix my AC on the second try. His name is Beau and he did a great job explaining the problem and making sure I felt comfortable with the price for the repair.Today, I had to call the company again because my AC went out. This time, my technician was Beau's son, Cody. Well, Cody got all his knowledge and attention to details from his father and I had an excellent experience with him as my technician. Although I waited all day for him to get here, he was able to identify the problem with my AC quickly and fix it. I highly recommend performance AC because of Beau and Cody!
Brian came to my home the same day I called his office. Very Prompt, professional, thorough and very nice. He took the time to show us what & why the repairs were necessary. Repairs were completed timely. Brian is an excellent repairman. We will definitely use him in the future!
