Two of Raymond Plumbing technicians came to our home to fix a stopped drain. We just bought the house not too long ago, so we were not sure what to expect. They were thorough, even leaving to grab a bigger snake. When they returned they were able to deduce the problem and, with the help of a Sawzall, they cleaned out a grease area that they assumed could have been growing for ten years. They never gave up. I expected the bill to be huge since they were here 2 1/2 hours, but everyone in the family agreed it was very fair because it was less than we thought. We will use them again!

Well, first off- this company does not seem to communicate with their scheduling company. They were suppose to be at my house between 8-10am. They called at 9:30 to say they would extend the window since they were running late to noon and charge me $30 less. I thought-that's fair, until they didn't show up by noon. I called and was told they they were still working on the other job and they didn't know when they would be there. They waved the service fee (at this point I am irritated but still hopeful). They show up around 1, flick a switch to reset it and then tell me that the cost to replace would be 1400 but they didn't have the parts to do it then (which they assured me in the initial call to schedule that the technician would be able to replace the entire unit that day). This is when I started to get mad. They wanted to reschedule for Monday to replace. I argued, and got them to set up an appointment for Sunday instead so I didn't have to go another two days without water. I spoke to a few people that night and they said 1400 was way too much to pay, so I called to cancel the appointment to get another estimate. The next morning, the guy shows up anyway and then tries to collect the service fee from the day before since he came out to do the estimate. I told him- sorry I was told yesterday that the fee was waved since we waited 3 hours extra- he was still under the impression the fee was just reduced (again, no communication). So, to sum up, these folks are overpriced, late and clearly do not communicate well with their scheduling company- I was unimpressed. Glad I have the opportunity to go somewhere else to get it replaced now. I have a feeling the quote they gave me included the 'fee' they said they were waving plus a few hundred extra.
