Just when I thought there wasn't an honest plumber left in New York City, I stumbled upon Hub. The owner, John, was upfront about what he thought my issue was and suggested I get in touch with another type of service because he assumed I didn't need a licensed plumber. He actually tried to save me money! In the end, I did need a plumber, so I called back and he sent his associate Harvey to my place. Harvey was awesome too. Super friendly and went above and beyond to get the job done. We talked about how great John is. How often does an employee rave about their boss?! All-around thumbs up to this company!!

They were great! My building required a licensed plumber for a dishwasher install. Very reasonably priced, came quickly and did a great job.

The plumber who showed up, Jakai Brassfield, was knowledgeable and very professional. He put us at ease and after he fixed the issue. He was so clean there was no sign he had been there. Roto Rooter was well represented by this young professional. I would definitely recommend the company, especially if they have more plumbers like Jakai. It wasn’t cheap but it was worth it.

These guys were so nice and so efficient. They even spotted and fixed a leak we hadn’t known about. I’ve bookmarked them for any future plumbing needs.

In the year 2020, the month of July, GW made two expert service calls. Greg Smith, who was company's technician, was both pleasant and tidy. He fixed the bathroom sink drain that was leaking and replaced the hose bib. In order to finish the previous task, he had to break through the wall. He painstakingly repaired the tile and made the hole as small as possible so that it could be easily replaced. When our sewage pipes backed up on a Saturday night in June 2018, we called this plumbing company, and they came through for us in a big way. Monica was very accommodating and sent a technician out to us right away despite the late hour of our call. Jose was cordial, helpful, and productive. I have nothing but praise for them and will use them again without hesitation. Extremely pleased!

I had a great experience with Boris Mechanical. I arrived at work on Sunday morning (February, 2015) to find an inch of water covering our floor. I called and a live person answered the phone. They were able to send a technician over in about an hour (pretty good for a Sunday!). The technician was very nice and efficient. The water had already covered a large area of our basement and was seeping out from underneath walls in multiple places. He diagnosed our problem very quickly (a busted and leaking water heater), but still completed a thorough inspection of the building to confirm. He was extremely patient with me, even when I was not exactly sure where the shut off for the main water line was. (He found it!) The technician removed the water, picked up and installed the new water heater and tested it to make sure it was working all within the same day. The building I work in is a Landmark building, so we were extremely grateful for Boris Mechanical's professionalism and efficiency. If the problem had not been resolved so quickly, we could have had a lot of structural issues and water damage. I definitely recommend this company.

My building had stopped giving heat and I called The Harris Plumbing & Heating Company in hopes that I could get this matter taken care of immediately. A plumber named Stratos was sent to me and I had nothing but an amazing experience with him. He was polite, professional, and quick to resolving my issue. In about 30 minutes or maybe even less my building was giving heat! Big thanks to Stratos and his dexterity and Friendliness.

The service was excellent! They came earlier than expected and also explain to me the possible Avenues we could go to resolve the issue. The technician was extremely friendly and extremely informative. I learned a lot from him in the process of him taking care of the issue. I have used Roto-Rooter for many years and they never fail to take care of the problem.

I called Fred Smith to help with some plumbing issues I was having at my kitchen sink on the Upper East Side. After describing my situation over the phone, the dispatcher told me he would call me back with a proposed appointment time (because they juggle a lot of emergency work, they did not want to set an appointment right away). Not too long after the initial phone call, an appointment was set up.

The plumber showed up on time and got the job done with no problems. I was most impressed with how polite he was and how careful he was to clean up and not leave a mess. I highly recommend Fred Smith!
