They are not the cheapest plumbers but they do their job pretty well and were willing to answer any questions.
Had a clogged tub. Went to their website to submit a request. They do have a minimum charge to respond to the call ($185 + tax for Upper East Side during normal business hour, over time will cost more). They are also able to provide certificate of insurance for their work upon request, but do expect a 24 hour turnaround to get the certificate. The team is very friendly and fixed the clog in less than 15 minutes. They also provide a 30 day warranty so if the tub clogged again within 30 days they will fix it with no additional charge. I have an old style drain (the drain stopper is outside of the tub), so it cost more to fix it than a normal tub. They also accepts coupon (just need to mention the coupon found on their website). So overall it's not cheap, but the quality is good.

This company is very ethical and works very hard for their customers. On top of that, they do a great job. Can't thank them enough for all they did for me! This is my official go-to plumber for the next time need for sure.

For my issue, they charged a fixed price (which they told me in advance) and it included all parts, labor, and a 12-month guarantee. Very reasonable and I appreciate knowing the price in advance.

Good plumber

I have a mystery leak which may be causing the floor to buckle, and I asked Fred Smith Plumbing to come and investigate. My first interaction with them was fine, normal- I called, they showed up in the time frame they were supposed to show up, the plumber looked around, and couldn't find the source of the leak. Fine.
Then, since he was there, I asked if he could replace these faucets in the bathroom since they had been leaking. He said that replacing them would stop the leak. He helped me pick out some faucets on amazon, and said to book a new appointment when the faucets arrive. I booked a new appointment, and that's when the trouble started. On the day they were supposed to come, time passed, and I finally called, and the man who answered the phone said I wasn't on the schedule. Did they take your credit card information? If they asked, I gave it Well, you're not on the schedule, so you must not have given your CC information. Well, if it's your job to ask for and record that information, then that's your job. And that's how interaction continued with their office, blaming me for them not showing up. They finally came another day, the man who came took ages to install the faucets (charge by the hour), including a half hour toilet break (!) If you're looking for a frustrating place that will keep you waiting for days, then take their time and charge you for that, this is the place. Faucet still leaks, though less. 3 days of waiting.

It was much more competitive than other quotes I had so we picked his company. The work was done fast, cleanly and on budget, which I sure can't say for every plumber I've used over the years. Beware of Watson's Senior Plumber Richard Robinson. On 1/2022 he failed to conduct an thorough assessment on my shower. He diagnosed a ceiling leak with 100% certainty without even opening the ceiling. He blatantly lied on the plumber report. I complained to Watson's & was ignored. At all costs avoid Watson's plumbing & especially dishonest plumber Richard Robinson.

Choose IMP. IMP Plumbing is about the only honest plumbing company I came across after reaching out to nearly 10 different plumbers. In assessing quality, accountability, pricing, and customer service, IMP can't be beaten.

While I was skeptical of hourly pricing, I had called ahead and sent pictures of the job site beforehand - I needed a P-Trap installed. They agreed it was a small job and it should take an hour max. When things took unexpectedly longer, and when there was a leak after the job was done, they stood by their work and got the job done without any additional cost. All in all I paid just over $300 for labor ($200/hr), parts (~$75), and tax at the time of my job. They also didn't collect any money before the job was DONE. You NEVER see that these days with service providers.

Other companies overcharged or asked for money just to come check the job site out, usually on the order of $100-$300. Just to see the job. Then they give you any arbitrary quote they want, and if you don't like it well money is theirs. It's literally robbery. Others overcharge for parts and labor like crazy. Check my review on Roto-Rooter for example which tried to charge me $900 ($825 for labor and parts + tax). $825 vs. $275. Literally a 3x markup. Robbery.

Also, a lot of companies would charge you for their own issues in managing time, but IMP didn't. These days, there are hardly any companies that are that proud and confident in their workmanship. Moreover, the plumbers there took so much pride in their work, and were so pleasant to work with, that the experience of dealing with the plumbing issues was actually enjoyable.

You can't go wrong with IMP. They are my new go to.

This guys went above and beyond with there service. The plumber that showed up went the extra mile for us. We had a leaking toilet and he was able to fix it. He was so professional and courteous. We are very satisfied with the service that was provided. I highly recommend them I will definitely call them for future plumbing needs

Arrived within a day of when I called them ready to replace water heater that was destroyed by IDA remnant. Removed old water heater within 2 hrs of job start. Left the area dry and clean. Had hot water 1 hr later. Great job.
