After a month of plumbing issues the water is cycling through my bathroom with ease. I had a great experience with Boris Mechanical. I arrived at work on Sunday morning (February, 2015) to find an inch of water covering our floor. I called and a live person answered the phone. They were able to send a technician over in about an hour (pretty good for a Sunday!). The technician was very nice and efficient. The water had already covered a large area of our basement and was seeping out from underneath walls in multiple places. He diagnosed our problem very quickly (a busted and leaking water heater), but still completed a thorough inspection of the building to confirm. He was extremely patient with me, even when I was not exactly sure where the shut off for the main water line was. (He found it!) The technician removed the water, picked up and installed the new water heater and tested it to make sure it was working all within the same day. The building I work in is a Landmark building, so we were extremely grateful for Boris Mechanical's professionalism and efficiency. If the problem had not been resolved so quickly, we could have had a lot of structural issues and water damage. I definitely recommend this company.

Serviceman was prompt, knowledgeable and fast. Got the sewer line unplugged and also found an additional problem with the sewer line.

Awfu. - most egregious was doubling cost of work v other bids by 1) insisted on breaking open wall even though plumbing was exposed, 2) tried to charge for permits not needed, 3) Took multiple visits to get correct description of work & then sent email to coop misstating specifics to cut corners - then blamed me!!! Replacing existing kitchen appliances can't be that difficult.
Glad I got more bids.
FSPH was our building plumber & turns out they didn't look past immediate leak to evaluate rest of pipe - which subsequently broke & reflooded a bathroom

Old Brooklyn Brownstones can be difficult for most plumbers. All the plumbers that have ever come to this building were good, but a few have been exceptional. Over two weeks, IMP’s plumber ruled out and fixed any issues that could have caused minor leaks.

The leak over someone’s oven, however, began to escalate and the source appeared to be major. More extensive work had to be done than originally thought and the IMP plumber addressed that situation expertly and efficiently. The plumber and his assistant worked tirelessly and he was considerate enough to leave me in an operational setting afterwards, which I did not think was possible! This plumber is exceptional. I would tell you his name, but IMP knows and since we probably will eventually need a plumber again; I don’t want him to be too busy … THANK YOU!

We are in a small walk up, and half our building lost heat during a very cold week. Tommy N and Jay D from Kew Forest Plumbing came out and were incredibly helpful. Not only did they fix the issue, but explained everything in great detail so that we understood how to prevent the problem from happening in the future. In addition, Tommy N continued to check in for the next few days to make sure we had heat. We will absolutely use them again moving forward.

We received a $1000 violation from the DEP. I was pretty stressed out about it because I had never even heard of a “backflow” before.
After searching and searching for a plumbing company who could help us, I came across Nivo Backflow. Boy were we lucky. A lot of the other companies I called were either rude, never returned my calls or just didn’t specialize in this type of work. We found sewer companies and heating companies, but none of them knew the answers to my questions. Nivo Backflow helped us to solve our problem. They were patient, answered all my questions and their prices were very competitive. They were friendly, clean and courteous. They even helped us reduce the fine we got from the DEP. They are truly a one-stop-shop. I highly recommend them.

I trie to use this business. I called 3 times to confirm the appointment. I even agreed to pay there ridiculous fee to send someone to inspect my ac. Day of appointment I get a call saying there was never a appointment today. Poor planning and scheduling. And even poorer customer service

Good work - lousy on calculation of hours. Over billed by two hours with little regard to trying to correct the issue. Two hot water heaters that required six hours to install, but bill included eight hours labor.

Horrible! Initial interaction with this company resulted in them providing a quote that was 3x more expensive than another plumber. They wanted to rip out pipes that weren't even broken. Gave them a 2nd try for a much smaller problem which resulted in them not even showing up despite telling me that they were coming ALL day. One excuse after another and yet noone showed up. Other options available that seem to be more reliable.
