We are selling our home (have only lived here for 5 years) and called Robo for Septic pumping and certification - was quoted $525. They showed up and we showed them where the septic was located - advised that there were sprinkler lines around so please be mindful...They started digging - dug two holes - sawed through 3 sprinkler lines without saying a word...and when I came outside to ask how things were going - all of about 1 hour later - said we had some real issues!!! $1500 worth of real issues! They tried to tell me that things had apparently rotted or disintegrated and had to be replaced. Then I informed the young man that we had only owned the home for 5 years and ironically it had been certified with no problems when we bought it at which point he accused that company of being crooked!!! I had him stop his work and leave be a bid for what he proposed to do. He actually had the nerve to include a $100 charge for the sprinkler lines he sawed through!

I actually had to pay these people $250 to destroy my sprinkler system and fail my septic certification! LOL I then proceeded to call an ENGINEERING CONTRACTOR who actually knows what he's doing. Got the work done for what I was originally quoted by these people - didn't get a bunch of BS that didn't need to be done!

July 12 2017 - Thank you for finally stopping the harassment Gilbert - the constant phone calls were a bit annoying. I told you from the beginning it was not about the money!!!! We were fully aware of the kind of septic system we have and know exactly it's age - thank you very much! LOL The reason for the engineering contractor...he was referred by a realtor - nothing more - nothing less! No major problems! I WAS NOT in any way slandering your company or your technicians...but by virtue of your text to me...you are doing it to yourself! My Google review CANNOT BE BOUGHT! It is HONEST AND FAIR!

On September 10, 2018, The Honest Plumber arrived at my home to install a dish washer and to perform a separately scheduled service of a sprinkler system, which my wife and I understood would be accompanied with a separate service charge.

My wife met the technician who installed the dishwasher. The technician was not made aware of the second and concurrently scheduled appointment (made through their central office), and he was unprepared to proved the required service. When he left, my wife and I attempted to wash dishes and discovered that the dishwasher was not installed correctly and would not wash dishes.

We contacted Lowes, who is responsible for dispatching their sub-contractor in the event of failure. Lowes contacted The Honest Plumber. The Honest Plumber then called us (within 120 minutes --- to be fair, I am happy with this response time).

The Honest Plumber informed us that they have one qualified technician to handle this request and that between our installation and today (48 hours later) the technician put out his back and no service could be provided until he returned to work. A tentative appointment is set for Monday (1 week after initial appointment), with the understanding that if the technician's back is still out that he will need more time to recover.

My wife and I are not happy about the fact that we scheduled the installation of a new $1000 dishwasher and requested service on our non-functioning sprinkler system. The Honest Plumber made an appointment to provide services. We waited several days to receive service. The Honest Plumber arrived and provided service of sufficient quality to say that they were present but not to perform any of the duties requested. Both the installation of the dishwasher and the repair of the sprinkler system remain incomplete, and we are told that we must wait until another week has passed to maybe see another technician if their one (and only) qualified technician heals to a point that it is safe for him to work.

We are not happy.

I usually don't take the time to write a review but this is worthy of it. If this was the first time working with these people, I would let it go. The first time was clear fraud. We inadvertently called these guys out to clear a drain. The first attempt didn't work. The second attempt failed and the guy complained the whole time about the pipes and how the other technician didn't know what he was doing. We called them again and they said it would be an additional charge to come out and scope the lines. They were already more expensive than others and they didn't correct the problem. Long story short, the pipes still didn't get done.
We called for a refund and got no where. I paid a contractor to wait each time for these guys to come out.
We called someone else that cleared the lines and all is well now.
Do not use these guys !!!! You are gambling.

I needed tankless water heater I did call jack the owner, he was very knowledgeable great help and personality, installed everything as it was promised great job I do highly recommend this business

This company's plumbers did an outstanding job, and we have already recommended them to my colleague, who coincidentally needs a plumber. 100% competent dudes!

I've had to use Acme Plumbing 3 times now and they have always done a great job - plus they don't pad their invoices! Fantastic people from Patty who answers the phone to the plumber who comes out and sorts out the problems we have had (two blocked pipes and changing out a very old and hard to access toilet supply valve). Will definitely be using them again - unlike some of the other guys in town....
