Do not do business with this company. In short, they are not honest. Had them come out through my home warranty and the technician told me I had a huge problem that would cost thousands. He told me they have a 'labor crew' that comes and does the manual labor. It all made sense to me and I trusted them since they are the Honest Plumber and they came through the home warranty. Basically, the 'labor crew' was a former employee who was working with the technician to start his own business and steal work from the company. So, a guy did work on my house who I thought was working for the Honest Plumber but wasn't. All of this at the suggestion and idea of the technician from the Honest Plumber. When I asked the company if they contract out or use 'labor crews' they said absolutely not. But then, they blamed me for agreeing with the third party to do the work. I wouldn't have if their technician hadn't set it up. The company wouldn't do anything to make it right, they said it was my word against their plumbers word, and their plumber lied about the whole situation...denied it ever happened. It makes me wonder if I ever did have a real problem that needed all this work or if it was all a big scam. Worst of all, the company wont do anything about it and even made me feel like I had to 'prove' that this really happened.

quality of work is good but honesty is not they charge me for modification but did not modified any thing, this is scam between the First American Home warranty and this Company. That why they as me pay firts before they do the job.

I'll definitely call the honest plumber whenever I have a plumbing issue. They're super reliable and caring. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a trustworthy professional.

Bo came and fixed or garbage disposal, quick and friendly.

They are very slow to come out. Maybe cause they don't like us customers using American Home Shield.. I'm not sure. They are NOT for emergencies. We had a toilet leaking and they made us wait around 2 weeks. The guy came. Then he looked at it for 5 minutes, took no actions, and said he needs to come back and repair it another time so the office will call us to schedule again. They never did. We had to call ourselves, and then they said another WEEK before they send someone. Not every plumbing is an emergency but toilet leak is. Just unprofessional and try to put things off.

Our family has used the Honest Plumers many times and we have always been pleased .Joel did his best to on time ,courteous, and efficient. Thank u again Honest Plumer!!!!

A word of advice to the owner of the honest plumber get rid of your receptionist by the name of Shannon she has a nasty attitude with customers and I guarantee you you are losing customers just because of her.

Had a serious clogged kitchen sink and called the honest plumber in San Jose. Brandon was really efficient and helpful. He fixed the problem in no time and saved me a lot of money too . Thanks and highly recommend them .

Super pleased by Brandon. He came by to fix a pipe stoppage for our washing machine. He was patient, knowledgeable, and super friendly.

Please note the 5 stars is just for Brandon. This was the second visit by Honest Plumber. There was some confusion with what the issue was during the first visit by another plumber. Thankfully we got Brandon this time and he fixed the issue on the spot (no repiping necessary). Wish we got him the first time around - it would've saved us so much time!

We had a blockage that totally put our house on lockdown. We couldn’t use the toilets, sinks or showers. Honest Plumbers came out through our home warranty company.

The first tech came in and was both professional & polite however he was not able to fix the problem. For most companies it would have ended there and I would have had to search out more expensive options.

I started making phone calls but to my surprise another technician showed up about an hour later to try again. Dennis came and took an extreme amount of time to help clear the blockage & even video taped his efforts.

Dennis not only put extra effort into coming out but he open up whatever was causing the blockage. He walked me through the whole process even showing me the snake reaching the street sewer clean out.

They could have moved on but they were committed to not just showing up at the job but completing the job.

I have Dennis coming back out to fix a leak we found during the blockage.

I look at some of these reviews and I cannot believe we are talking about the same company, because I have had only a great experience with Mike and his crew dating back to 2012. Most likely, the Honest Plumber has done thousands of jobs, but only people that are unhappy write reviews, so I feel the need to share my experience. I have two townhomes in the Southwest and one home in the Northwest, which are all rentals. I have used The Honest Plumber numerous times for drain clogs, leaks, water heaters, and two major re-pipes. Mike and his crew have ALWAYS been on time, good communicators, and fair with their pricing. Their work has always been top-notch and I have never had to call them back for any repair or re-pipe they performed. Also, I have tried a few other companies in town that did not show up and/or where extremely expensive, so I was really happy to find The Honest Plumber and will continue to use them for all my plumbing needs.

I request them through the home warranty for shower, faucet look like the work with the home warranty against their client. They break the faucet to so many part the part that I having problem with is not cover the Honus plumber technician give me a estimate $220 to fix it
I end up agree about the price I called for an appointment I wait three days they said we go there in Monday. I receive a call au on Monday they said all this going to cost $550.

They are such a fake. I will not recommend anybody to stock with them. They work with the home warranty company against you. I’m not gonna have any business with them all the old Republican home warranty that’s my experience.

If I can leave no stars then I will. We were scheduled on September 8th, from 12:00 to 4:00pm . I was verbally confirmed this this time slot and also they company send me two text confirmations about this schedule. It is sunday, we had to put all the family plans aside, we waited all day for this , no show and no call! This company is not reliable at all, not recommended to anyone.
I just saw the owner post, he replied he tried to call or text, it is not true, I did not receive any call or text or voicemail , nor did my husband. I also called his company left a message, I hope I can get a explanation tomorrow morning.

We are very happy with Honest plumbers. With all the trouble we went through in our home and our home warranty. I’m glade Brandon was able to help us. He has gone above and beyond from to trying help us on our home warranty to getting us hot water in our home. On March 7 Brandon and his crew started to install a whole gas line in our home. That’s when we meet Bo, Mark, Ricky. Those guys did a tremendous job on our new gas line from morning time until 8 o’clock at night. They work hard to finish the job. Even thought we had holes in our walls Bo was able to help us find someone to repair our walls and ceiling. Once again thank you very much for everything you guys are awesome.

Had a clogged drain and a bathroom leak, they were prompt, very fast with the repairs and an unbelievable low price for the work.

I have always had great service, I actually request this company when using my Home Warranty. (AHS). From unclogging my kitchen sink lines, to replacing my water heater, to fixing both my toilets. The tech that came in left a mess and not only that he didn't finish the job. He didn't put all the parts together in which I had to put it all back. I called the to make the payment but now my insurance I charging me because they said I never paid Honest Plumber. Good thing I have my back up. SMH

The problem was fixed. However this company is contracted out period they did not send their bill to Old Republic 😒. I am now getting past due notices from Old Republic. Please do your part so that my credit does not reflect your mistakes. They (Honest Plumbers) are supposed to be open 24/7.
Yet, I have called repeated times and no answer. I do not want my Saturdays. My only days off to look like this. 😡

They came to check a leak that I have reported through the home warranty, I called this company many times to get my estimate to get the issue fixed either through the warranty or on my own and they never got back to me, I called several times.

To be Honest, yes, the technician is so honest to tell you that nothing is leaking even the water stain is so evident under the kitchen sink, flooding all over kitchen floor. With the technician’s flashlight coming from his cellphone, he jumped into conclusion that the leak is coming from the dishwasher. Per client, it was clearly mentioned that the dishwasher has not been used for a year (they do it by hand). Surprisingly, he did not turn off the water running to dishwasher but instead he gave me the receipt asking for the diagnostic fee and referring me to Appliance company to check on the problem. Yes, very honest.....honest to tell you that I AM NOT READY FOR THIS JOB!

Asking for my address?????.......ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The Appliance Guy Tech came over (after the day your plumber left the job and we experienced more flooding overnight) found out that my copper water pipe busted caused leaking under the sink and went through underneath of the dishwasher. Appliance Guy Tech is not a Plumber and his forte is to fix appliances but he did found out that there is plumbing issue. Your plumber didn’t even see the problem at all. Your plumber did a less than 5 minutes diagnostic then run back to his truck to get the receipt for the fee. I asked him a lot of questions but he never gave me concrete answers. Why bother give my address????? No way..... this bad review will stay here forever. And if you guys don’t believe me, try their service and try it for yourself. Just prepare to lose your $75.00 diagnostic fee. Lesson learned..... go with the highest rating company.

This company is TRASH. I was able to get a appointment 1 week out and they didn't fix anything. I called hps Plumbing and they were able to get my problem fixed the next day and with better rates. Dont waste your time with The Honest Plumber .

Came in two hours after I called. Quick fix.

We used their services twice. First, we found worms at the bottom of the spare bathroom tub and read online that it could be due to a damaged pipe.

When we initially called, we heard the voicemail say they're booked and if we were referred by our home warranty, just call the warranty company to schedule with a different business.

I was a little put off by this message but appreciated the honesty. I called my home warranty company and they still wanted to use The Honest Plumber. They made the call and the plumber was out less than a week later.

They fixed the issue quickly and were friendly and professional the whole time.

The second time I had to use this company, we had a leaky tub in the master bathroom. This time they were out within the week and had the leak fixed in like 5 minutes.

I highly recommend this business, since the plumbers know exactly what they're doing and they can make the repair quickly.

I called and was told I would get a return call the person was at lunch, never received a call back.

WOW! Just wow! If I could give 10 stars to Eddie & his team at #1 Honest Plumber, I would!

Recently my kitchen sink had been making loud gurgling noises at night. Eddie came out yesterday to inspect everything and we figured out the culprit was our sewing piping, which was getting clogged up. Our house is from the late 1950s, so it came as no surprise to us that our piping had wear and tear. During our session, Eddie was extremely thorough with what our issue was and the various options we had. He came back earlier today with two other helpers. He technically could've done it by himself, but wanted to do the job right and, honestly, we admired this extra step. Pricing wise, Eddie was very fair! In fact, given that I've been out of a job due to COVID-19, Eddie gave us different options with varying level of work to help with our budget. We opted for the temporary solution for now, which was to snake our sewage piping. Once things get back to normal, we definitely plan on reaching out to Eddie and his team again to permanently repair and replace our piping. For now, my wife and I are just happy we found a solid go-to-person for our plumbing needs.

UPDATE: Unrelated to our plumbing issue, but our A/C unit stopped working today as well (home repairs seem to never end). I had mentioned it to Eddie and, surprisingly, he just called right now to follow-up to see if it works. If not, he could help me find someone who can possibly help. That's TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE right there! Not even plumbing related, but wanted to call regardless to make sure we were taken care of. This is how you get customers for life. Once more, special thanks to Eddie and his team! My wife and I cannot recommend them enough!

I got them contracted and through American home shield. I got hung up on. We didn’t have a shower for weeks. The man that I talked to was rude on the phone and not personable in person. Said he would come back to finish the job and I didn’t hear back at all. I had gave him 1000$ in cash and didn’t hear anything after 2 weeks, I called them and I guess I got pushed to the done pile.

This is a review for The Honest Plumber in Bakersfield, CA. We called after a week of cold showers in our new house. We tried multiple times to restart the pilot light but we could not get it working. Everything in the owner's manual indicated that we might need to replace a part or possibly the whole unit (it's an older unit). The technician arrived and I was a bit unsettled because he had no uniform and the van was unmarked, but he was respectful and polite. He walked around the house to the back porch where our water heater was located and somehow manage to quickly restart it. I was a bit embarrassed that he came all the way out here for nothing but when I asked how much the visit fee was, he didn't charge us! So thankful to find a plumber who is out to help us and maintain a good name, not just to make a quick buck.

Brandon did great work for me - moved a gas line for my stove. He was friendly, fast, and thorough - will definitely call Honest Plumber and Brandon again!

These guys came out not once but twice, told me they would order the part the first come to find out 3 weeks later they never did, took a second guy to come out to tell me I had to replace my entire shower unit. Very expensive job. Long story short, I put a plea out on my nextdoor app, a neighbor came by, found the part and fixed it within a couple hours. Won't be recommending them. nope.

Do not use this company. My home warranty company sent them out. They removed the toilet and left and refuse to come back. The technicians are very nice but the owner Beau is horrible and rude. They left an open sewage hole in the bathroom and refuse to come back to remedy the mess they made. Do not use them, if I could give them zero stars I would.

So it looks like the guy replaced a hose from our dishwasher to the new garbage disposal he installed and the hose is too short so it came off. They only guarantee their work for 30 days so we had to do it ourselves

They installed a toilet bought from Lowes, polite, professional, they went above and beyond. Any future plumbing issues these will be my guys

On September 10, 2018, The Honest Plumber arrived at my home to install a dish washer and to perform a separately scheduled service of a sprinkler system, which my wife and I understood would be accompanied with a separate service charge.

My wife met the technician who installed the dishwasher. The technician was not made aware of the second and concurrently scheduled appointment (made through their central office), and he was unprepared to proved the required service. When he left, my wife and I attempted to wash dishes and discovered that the dishwasher was not installed correctly and would not wash dishes.

We contacted Lowes, who is responsible for dispatching their sub-contractor in the event of failure. Lowes contacted The Honest Plumber. The Honest Plumber then called us (within 120 minutes --- to be fair, I am happy with this response time).

The Honest Plumber informed us that they have one qualified technician to handle this request and that between our installation and today (48 hours later) the technician put out his back and no service could be provided until he returned to work. A tentative appointment is set for Monday (1 week after initial appointment), with the understanding that if the technician's back is still out that he will need more time to recover.

My wife and I are not happy about the fact that we scheduled the installation of a new $1000 dishwasher and requested service on our non-functioning sprinkler system. The Honest Plumber made an appointment to provide services. We waited several days to receive service. The Honest Plumber arrived and provided service of sufficient quality to say that they were present but not to perform any of the duties requested. Both the installation of the dishwasher and the repair of the sprinkler system remain incomplete, and we are told that we must wait until another week has passed to maybe see another technician if their one (and only) qualified technician heals to a point that it is safe for him to work.

We are not happy.

This is a great company with honest employees. I have used them for my multi units in the past and recently on my own home. They always go out of their way for me and fix the issue. They will always be my first pick for a plumber.

Plumber came out to inspect needed repairs, never called or came back. I was in-shock that I was ignored with water shut off on top of that. Finally after several phone calls several days later they came back and completed the repair. They need to be more attentive to customers. Customer Service is very important in any business. Also receptionist is rude unless your extremely nice to her.

I have used Honest Pluming numerous times among several plumbers throughout the years. they have been very professional and always given honest estimates with no hidden fees or deception. Lately, I have worked with Kyle mainly and he has been very knowledgeable and skillful. He had worked on various projects and completed successfully. I have peace in mind when they finished the repair as I haven’t had any issues after they repaired.

Do not use these guys I had a water heater replaced by home warranty and they charged me for parts that they did not replace they use the same old parts that were already on the water heater they are a scam

Our warranty company called this company out to my home to fix the garbage disposal. The customer service when you call is horrible! The lady actually argued with me, kept cutting me off when I was trying to explain, and even hung up on me. Very rude! The service provided was poor, as well. Both times that the man came out, were told that he would be there anywhere from 2-6. Both time, he arrived at 6. We were also told he would call to give us a 30 minute notice before arrival. He never called and even when I tried calling to get an update, they never answered. The man caused a leak as soon as he got their and actually said, “ I don’t know why this happened.” I had to bring out bowls and towels for him. He also left a huge mess and even asked to borrow our tools while he worked. There was new electrical tape on the pipes when he left and new leaks coming from the garbage disposal. We would never recommend this company to anyone!

Not only were they pricy, but they didn't accommodate the repair in the same day and have a bad habit of disrespectfully parking in the driveway. Upon the return (OUTSIDE of the expected 4-hour window), the requested repair person didn't show and 2 other men I later learned knocked at the door. The 'owner,' a male, hung up the phone on the person who inquired about their appearance outside of the window after he lied the window was 2-6 pm instead of 12-4 pm. How's that for honesty?

1 star because they dont have a sub star categories. No response to phone calls, always late, smelled of booze. And did not fix the problem. Did however tell me how expensive the items are that the warranty company (another joke 1 American) would not cover. This place should be on Dateline fraud tv. Save your money and your frustration, dont use these guys.

These guys are awesome. They have done several jobs at our house they are fast , efficient, and friendly..

Brandon has given us outstanding service and solid advice for two separate plumbing issues within the last three weeks. Situation #1 was a clogged kitchen faucet nozzle that I could not release from the handle. I have broken these kinds of things in the past, so, call my wife said I had to call the plumber!

Brandon showed up and after a 30-second description of the problem, he removed it, cleaned up the clogging particles that were visible, and then showed me how to release the handle without breaking the clips. His advice to clean up the gunk in the unreachable parts of the faucet is to soak it in a vinegar solution overnight. Totally works.

Situation #2, separate from #1, was a shower faucet that streamed water down the wall. As my wife said before, don't break it, so, I called for help. Brandon to the rescue again. It was a similar protocol as before ... I gave him a 30-sec description, he asked me what brand valve was in there and while I looked up the answer he completed the repair! I asked about replacing the handles that are mis-matched and he advised a separate service call to replace both handle faucets, the shower head assembly to get all working and looking like a complete set.

I appreciate Brandon's timely arrivals, professional courtesy, polite demeanor, respectful advice, and good humor.

My insurance company sent The Honest Plumber out to my place, to fix some issues with the toilet, after someone tried to get a bunch of extra work and trouble generated for no reason. The Honest Plumber came out to troubleshoot, and after inspecting everything and finding absolutely no sign of any leaks, helped me sort everything out and make sure that everything was okay. I am very happy with the service and happier to find someone who is honourable and values his reputation with demonstrated good character and work quality.

This is the second time I have had the honest plumber come to my home, and BO was our plumber today he did a fantastic job, the first time they came out the did a great job as well, I would recommend them to my family and friends without thinking twice,they are a great company. I’ve had The Honest Plumber out again since I wrote this original review and just like the original review they are very kind very helpful and for what he did to my house he didn’t even charge me for it.

I have had the Honest Plumber out for 2 jobs in the last month. Each time, they have communicated well, done a quick and efficient job, and been very up front about everything. I appreciate their customer service and have had no problems with their company. Bo was intricate in making this all happen. Joel was also a great help with our first service call a month back. Our garbage collector and kitchen sink pipes started leaking. Through AHS service request, we were assigned to The Honest Plumber. Technician Jose came in and within 15 minutes the job was well done. I really recommend them. The serve bay area customers too.

This company is anything but Honest! They do horrible work, never got a permit to run a new line, did not tighten up the fittings, had gas leaking under my house after they said the gas line was fine. Did not plug gas lines to appliances to pressure test the lines and took a chance of destroying my gas appliances. The tech. had to use my tools as they did not have any of their own. Spent more time on the phone talking to the office than working. Spent 1800.00 for a Job that I am now having to spend more money on and have another Plumber come and do the job right! They have no integrity, horrible work, I don't know how they stay in business. Will file a complaint with the BBC.

A pipe broke under my house so I called the honest plumber. Glad I did they were reasonably priced and the gentleman Jeremiah was professional and knowledgeable and got my pipe fixed quick.

I needed to have a majority of the piping replaced in my house in a limited amount of time. Rick quickly responded, worked with me on my schedule, was courteous, professional, and did a great job!

I have to say this is the worst plumbing place around. 1st off, the are not honest at all! It says open 24hrs But when you call it says the are only open 8-5. The guy who came to see us was very unprofessional. Besides the way he was dressed he smelled pretty bad and was not very cordial at all. Then to top it off, the guy told us that he would call us back the next morning now 2 days later still nothing!!

Call for service, they tell me one day don't show up don't call. They wrote down wrong info so couldn't get ahold of me. I call back to reschedule they postpone again. Finally show up, and only fix one of the three issues. One of the other two issues will be waiting on estimate. Call back for estimate still not completed. Call again several days later still not completed. Call again and get hung up on. Called RotoRooter and got it done. Still waiting on estimate from the honest plumber. Actually still waiting on a receipt for the toilet they fixed. They can't even email me the invoice.

We had someone from this company come out to fix a clog on Friday with our washing machine. The technician was here for about 15 minutes and he said he fixed the problem. He even said he ran the washing machine three times and said the problem was fixed. I started the washing machine on Saturday and our garage was flooded with water. The issue was not fixed. We tried calling on Saturday and Sunday to get someone out here to fix the issue but unsuccessful at getting a hold of anyone. We keep getting a phone recording that says the phone number we are trying to reach does not have a voicemail that is set up yet so we cannot leave a voicemail. Keep in mind this plumber is 24 hours.

Contacted these guys. They were very honest and reliable. Great service. Fixed my issue of unplugging drains in less than 10 minutes. Technician Joel came and did a great job. Will be dealing with this company again.

Great service! My water heater wasn't working properly. I called and he was at my house in 15 minutes. In less than 20 minutes he had it fixed. He was very nice, helpful, explained the problem, and charged a fair price. I would recommend him to anyone in need and will use his services again when needed.

I called about 2pm and was told they would charge 65 an hr and be at my house within an hr so around 3 they need up showing up at 4 and need up charging me 95 an hr and I ended up paying 150 for an hr job and they didn't even do it right

Robert helped with my leaking sink and garbage disposal on 8/2/2019, he was able to find out the hidden issue and replaced the parts needed, very friendly too. Only tiny suggestion would be for the company to sync 24 hours before to set a shorter appointment window. But contact was easy when I called and everything worked out perfectly.

My experience with Jose from The Honest Plumber can likely be considered fraudulent. He parked in front of a fire hydrant. I answered the door and informed him he would get ticketed and his response was he wouldn't be long. He went into my bathroom, did an animated smell, suggested my bathroom was clean smelling when the reason for the call was a stench and I asked him to leave.

I contacted the company and my home warranty company to voice a complaint. At the Honest Plumber I was told a manager would return my call. That didn't happen and I had to call back a second time to complain which I did, only because I don't want him or them to waste other people's time. Completely dissatisfied and would refuse them as a contractor if the home warranty refers them again.

Not trust worthy. Stay on guard while in your home and garage. One of the guys helped himself to something in my garage while I was in my house with the other plumber. After they left I checked my ring and you could see how he is trying to play it off like he is scratching his back, while he is holding the item under his shirt. I contacted Police but did not file charges because I did not want it on my conscience that, this guy, would lose his job supposedly. Owner made excuses and said what a wonderful employee he is. Keep your eyes and ears open. My opinion and I feel others should be made aware.

Great company came out last night had family over and my water heater started leaking. They sent a plumber out right away diagnosed the issue being a t&p valve had the parts on hand took care of the problem with in a hour was referred this company by a friend and I highly recommend we have definitely found are for ever plumbing company thanks again !!!

Bo did an AMAZING job fixing my leaky bathtub faucet and even took the time to show me what caused it and how he fixed it. He was patient, kind and very knowledgeable.

I have used 6 plumbers in Bakersfield for my various homes over the last 15 years. I have had issues with all of them. Recently I moved into a massive 3000 sq. ft. home that had extreme plumbing issues. I needed the entire house re-piped. I got 5 bids to repipe my house. The Honest Plumber was the cheapest and I figured I might as well use them because I was going to be fighting with them just like I had the last 6 plumbers. Thank goodness I did.

They are professional. They explained everything they were doing. They showed me with pictures exactly what needed to go and what was ok to stay. Every penny I spent I knew exactly what it was for. Much to my stunned amazement, not only was everything done on time and at EXACTLY what they quoted they went above and beyond what was quoted. Fixing little issues that they could have easily left. (They even installed my new washing machine as it arrived while they were here working).

Here is the really amazing part. After everything was paid and they were no longer on site there was an issue with their work. I called assuming this is where I would finally see that they just cared about the money and they wouldn't stand behind their work. Again, I was wrong. They came out immediately, found the issue repaired it. No hassle. No extra charges. Nothing but professionals from start to finish.

My water heater has been leaking for days and the technician couldn’t turn it off. My wall are getting soaked and that was my main concern. After the 3rd day, I called and asked why I haven’t got a follow up call and Jennifer proceed to yell at me to listen to her. tl;dr: The Honest Plumber turned two simple repairs into a 40+ day adventure. They rescheduled multiple appointments, botched a repair without realizing it, and almost cost us thousands of dollars after repeatedly misdiagnosing their bad repair.

The company was assigned through American Home Shield to fix a constantly dripping showerhead + a leaky shower hose attachment. It took 4 days for the first appointment. When the tech arrived, the shower had briefly stopped dripping. The tech said they would order parts for the hose but needed proof of the showerhead leak. We were 4 days in.

I called the tech the next day and was told to send a video of the leaky showerhead. I sent it. No response. When I followed up with the office 4 days later, they had me resend the video and we setup an appointment for a fix. On appointment day, they forgot to put our part on their truck and rescheduled. We were 15 days in.

At the appointment, the tech fixed our hose, but said they needed to order a cartridge for our shower controls to fix the dripping. It only took about 30 seconds to determine we needed a new cartridge - it could have been done remotely. It took a week to get the cartridge, but finally someone installed it. We were 22 days in.

When we took a shower the next day, the shower began **leaking through the ceiling** of the room below it. This started right after the cartridge repair, so asking the plumbing company to check their repair seemed to make sense. It took 4 days for someone to come out. We were 26 days in.

We explained previous repairs to the tech who came out, but they said it was our drain leaking instead. They ordered a new drain gasket. It took about a week to arrive, but they said only 1 of 2 parts showed up and we had to wait longer. We were 33 days in.

The tech fixed the drain and we ran the shower again. Still dripping through the ceiling. We were 40 days in.

A senior tech came out the next day and said the drain gasket had been installed poorly. They fixed it. We were 41 days in.

We ran the shower again and it still dripped through the ceiling. The plumbing company said it was now definitely the shower pan, and estimated $4500 to fix the shower [outside of warranty].

Instead, we got a second opinion through an outside plumbing company. They opened up the shower controls and determined the cartridge installation was botched. The new company ordered a new part on Amazon and fixed it two days later.

The Honest Plumber had nice people and I appreciate all of the visits, but given our experience, I cannot recommend their services.

The 'Honest' plumber told my wife and I that we needed a new water heater and that our PVC pipes should be replaced with copper pipes. He told us that the home warranty did not cover it and that it would be $2800.00. He insisted on cash, which I found suspicious and, to my fault, I should have questioned. On the receipt there was no breakdown of what everything (parts, labor)should have cost; just a final price-no labor hours or anything. I called the home warranty company and they said the cost should have been covered by the warranty. My wife and I will be taking action. I do not recommend this plumbing service to anyone.

If you want service I suggest going somewhere else. They will ignore your calls or never call back when they say they will.

The plumbers that came out all seemed to be knowledgable. We had some issues with the clerical staff but the owner and one of the plumbers worked to rectify the situation. All in all if you are able to bypass the clerical staff you should be fine.

Brandon came by when we were in desperate need of hot running water. He fixed the problem with excellent customer service. I would highly recommend Brandon and the Honest Plumber to family and friends.

Had them out to install a toilet. Contracted through home Depot. They did such a good job I called them out again when we had a leak at our kitchen sink. Made an appt Monday morning for Tuesday afternoon. Didn't show called to ask why they hadn't showed as I left work early to meet them. Sorry something got messed up with the schedule and you got deleted. So I made a new appt for Friday afternoon. Called them at 2:30/3:00 before I left work to make sure they were coming. No answer. Headed home anyway. Called again at 4 no answer. No one ever showed up. Not giving them the benefit of trying again.

Brandon is here, right on time as scheduled, confirmed and is repairing my plumbing issue. Thanks again, Honest Plumber! You guys do it right!

We had a bad burner in our water heater and called them in the morning, they were very responsive and send the tech right away to take care of it. Bo the technician who came out was very professional and took care of the problem right away and got us up and running.

I had The Honest Plumber come out for a plumbling mishap that started when I used the washing machine and it made the toilet and bathtub overflow and flood the laundry room, guest bedroom all the way into the garage. Bo and two other gentlemen came out and were able to fix the issue. They were straightforward, thorough, and timely, with their work and explanation of the problem. Will be using this company again for any plumbing needs we have.

I recently had the honest plumber come out to finish up some warranty work that another company started. The plumber they sent was named Bo, and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. I was very impressed with him. Even though he was just sent out to fix the drywall, he really went above and beyond, checking everything out, and fixing things that needed attention. He even called someone to thoroughly check for any signs of water leakage under the floor, just to ease my concerns. I was extremely happy with the service that I received from this young man. I would definitely use the honest plumber again and highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of an honest plumber.

I am very disappointed and very irritated. I was contacted by The Honest Plumber and Sandy informed me that a repairman would be dispatched to my home and would be calling 20 minutes beforehand on that same day (12/21/2020) to let me know they were on their way. This was at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. By 7 PM I realized no one was coming so I called, but they were closed. I left a message for them asking for a return call. The next morning, after not having received a return call, I reached back out to Sandy, who didn't even apologize but excused them not showing up because they had a an emergency- a water heater blew up. I was not interested in hearing their excuse- they could've at least called. She then stated that someone would be dispatched to my house on that day. I waited all day long. Finally at the end of the day I got a call saying that the plumber came out to my house to address the issues but no one is home. I reminded Sandy that I was at work and that I had requested a call beforehand so I could meet the plumber at my house. I rushed to my house to meet the plumber and after about 15 minutes he left stating that he doesn't see any problem with the water heater, my water valve in the shower is stripped and needs to be replaced, and my water lines probably need to be cleaned due to low pressure. He stated I would receive a call once the home warranty authorized the work- that was the day before Christmas Eve. For a month I waited patiently, having to go outside and re-light my pilot light to my water heater multiple times during the week as it keeps shutting off. Leaving me without hot water. Also not being able to shower in my master bath, as it is not functional until it is fixed. On 1/28/2021 I finally received a call from Sandy informing me that there is nothing wrong with my water heater and the home warranty company has denied my claim and I should have received something from them informing me. I contacted my home warranty company who advised me that my claim was not denied, but closed, as the plumber did not send a report noting any issues and that the issue I had reported was resolved. Thanks for nothing! They should change their name to The Late, Incompetent and Dishonest Plumber! Thankfully, my home warranty is sending out another plumber.

Bo, the technician was great. Really polite with my kids and patient with my annoying dog. I really appreciated his candor and the way he explained the issues I was having with my water heater. He gave use a fair price and resolved two issues for us at once. After working with him, I feel like I know more about how water heaters work, and I appreciated his timely and flexibly scheduled help. I will definitely call them from now on.

Unknowledgeable office staff... I used Honest Plumber (HP) through our home warranty company. Technician was knowledgeable and explained that my water heater needed to be replaced. However, when I received the list of “non covered” items totaling $580 the office staff couldn’t tell me what a phelm was $110 or “not covered” was $151. My wife called once and I called twice over the next three days, each time we were given different pricing and the Phelm and “not covered” items disappeared but prices for permit and Gas modification all of a sudden had those prices and other costs for earthquake straps and drop pan went up so that the out of pocket costs remained the same. We cashed out after a week with no hot water and went with another plumber who replaced the water heater the next day (Tommy’s Plumbing)!
