We had a major water damage event Tuesday which affected our electrical panel boxes. KMA was able to get someone out same day and Todd was AMAZING! Friendly, knowledgeable, professional- everything you want your electrician to be. He answered several questions for us and explained everything in detail. We really appreciated his help and experience. He & his partner (Michael) showed up when promised the next day & worked until about 10pm to ensure they were able to get power back on to the house including our heat. I can’t explain how thankful I am and how GREAT the work was. We’ve had KMA do several jobs/home improvement projects for us over the past few years and are always happy with their work. Knowing they’re there in case of emergency & for very large jobs too gives me peace of mind knowing my family is safe and we have a reliable company we can trust. Highly recommend!! Thank you Todd! We are really thankful for all you have done for us this week! New Update: Company has updated name to TrueNorth but still provides stellar service! They reached out to perform a warranty check up (everything was still perfect & it gave me additional reassurance that my family and home is safe!) and also we’re able to install a new light fixture I’d purchased. I called to get a diagnosis on an electrical issue I was having with the home I recently purchased. Right away I had a friendly and informative conversation with the woman who answered the phone and she made me an appointment quick and easy. The technician Jonathan came by and was quickly able to find my issue and give me multiple options to fix it. Jonathan was very polite and knowledgeable. He also recommended my panel be replaced as it was around 30-60 years old. This being a costly repair he took some time to put together a lot of options that were reasonably priced and he was not pushy with his pitch at all. I was not able to get the panel at this time having so many other projects going with the new home but I had a great experience with this business and will recommend them to everyone.

Audrey quickly determined that the electrical line to my outdoor lamppost was no longer working properly. She laid out all the options to fix it and explained each thoroughly. The solar lamppost she selected matched my existing pole which is great. She did excellent work and was very professional. Highly recommended.

Scheduling was super easy. The person answering phones was pleasant. I had to reschedule and that was easy as well. I received helpful reminders and a notification when Dustin was on his way (including a pic). Dustin was very professional. He tuned up the furniture and was able to fix a setting that was off. He also provided useful information about settings and told me of other services provided. Everything was left nice and clean. Will definitely use again. Highly Recommend.

I recently had Kyle and Troy from True North Heating and Cooling Company at my house to install a new heating and cooling unit, and I couldn't be more impressed with the level of service they provided. From start to finish, they were professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the product they were installing.Not only did they complete the installation quickly and efficiently, but they also took the time to explain the new system to me in detail and answer any questions I had. Tim did an excellent job on the sales/service side, establishing a plan for repair, installation and maintenance on our a/c heat pump system & water tank replacement. Wow! I had the most amazing experience with True North specifically Matthew. When True North had to reschedule, they graciously provided me with a discount. Matthew was incredibly skilled! I bought light fixtures from Potterybarn that were used in their store for incredibly cheap. The light fixtures came as is with missing pieces, etc. Matthew was able to identify the problem right off the bat and creatively suggest a few solutions. He was even going to drive to Home Depot in an attempt to “create” his own light fixture part that was missing! He was extremely friendly and helpful. What a worker! I highly recommend True North! I will be using them again for sure!

Jonathan is extremely courteous and professional. He gave me several options suited to what needed to be done. He had all the necessary parts when he returned to do the job the next day and finished it the same day. Unbeknownst to us there were some very hot wires that were a fire hazard and he took care of those too. Thank God for him and True North H,C & E.

Our AC went out unexpectedly and we couldn’t get in touch with our old AC repair folks, but True North came out the next day. Dustin investigated the issue until he figured out what was going on and a couple hours later, we had AC! From start to finish, everyone at True North was kind, communicative, and professional. Kaleb was here for a day and half replacing an electric panel, labeling the breakers, fixing where the water that was coming in through my electric meter, replacing a dryer outlet and figuring out why a hall light wouldn't work, which led to replacing said light and two light switches. He was very professional, cleaned everything up and let me know whenever the power may go out. They were able to get to the work very quickly and I am very satisfied with all of the work that was done.

He was very professional and enlightened us on some things we didn’t know.But, I have a real problem doing business with a company that doesn’t give any indication of a timeframe of when my appointment was going to be in advance. What an inconvenience to your customers, and a good reason as far as I’m concerned, to do business elsewhere.

The technicians showed up in a very Timely manner. They had sent a text ahead of time confirming there soon arrival. They worked efficiently and made sure everything was cleaned up afterwards. On this visit however they were unable to finish the initial startup of our system due to no fault of their own. Very good team work was noted. Solid company. But, quite a bit of confusion about what the job was between the person who quoted me and the girl who came and did the work. I Hired True North to add relocate/add space in my breaker box to enable 240v and a piggybacked 115v (that was existing) running down to my pond. They added a circuit with a turn off switch to enable the 240v but, said they couldn’t add a 115v. Told me I would have to contract for that to be done separately but, yet, my price for the impartial job was the same as the full job that included the 115v. A bumpy experience

Reported that a tenant didn’t have any heat. A technician came out and accessed the issue. Had to order part that would be in the following week. Tenant made arrangements on the date scheduled to be at the apartment within the timeframe given. She was there all day waiting in the cold apartment. During my follow up with the company, they stated that they had a call off and the 1 technician is at a job much longer than expected. So far we were understanding with all the issues and accepted all apologies. Now when the tech verbally tells me that he would be there 8:30 to 9am the next morning however he shows up at 9:30 am. Again tenant needed to make arrangements to be at the unit. When I asked to speak to a manager, it was said they were in a meeting. 7 hours passed and the time is 5pm and never received a call back from the manager where an associate stated I would receive a call from a manager to address our concerns. Just absolutely poor in so many ways, I don’t know where to start.5 days post initial review, General Manager Tom Lawson reach out to me where we had a productive conversation. From the discussion it was evident that the associates failed to meet company expectations and Mr. Lawson continuous efforts to address the issues were very sincere. I’m confident via his leadership, such poor communication by the management team will not transpire again for the next customer that chooses True North to service their needs.

Was having electrical problems and was referred to True North. Then Shane Mason came, and he listened to all the problems I was having. He thoroughly examined the electrical wiring, furnace, water heater (which had a unknown leak), boxes, in the house and garage. Then he sat down and explained all the dangerous screw ups that were done through out the years - some half haphazardly - and how badly the wiring was weather worn with holes. His company would correct everything to make this a safer place to live. His crew did it all in one day. I feel so much safer now knowing it was done by professionals and done right!

Kyle Cam & Troy are professionals, I might even go so far as to say 'Super Heroes '. We were without heat and in 7 hours, they removed everything and replaced it all. We were with heat and it looks professional. They spent the time to clean up at least 3 times I seen. When they left, it was like they were never there. (Except for the heat) I give all 3 of them 5 stars, well except for that one guy, he gets 6. Thank you all.

I called around 7 am and by 9:30 am Austin arrived and checked out the clogged drain issue. He told me what was wrong and gave estimates on fixes. Within 2 hours the plumbing lines were running well. Thank you for your help! I will definitely use them again.

My furnace was out when I got up this morning. True north took my call and had a technician out in a little over an hour. I could track him by GPS when he was on the way ! He arrived and was very nice and professional. He was able to figure out the problem with my furnace quickly and had the part on hand. He had my furnace repaired in about 30 minutes. Nothing bad to say about True North ??

Had a outlet that burned and needed replaced. I called this company as opposed to replacing myself just to make sure nothing major was wrong. They said cause was a space heater overloading the group of outlets on same breaker. They recommended changing the one that burnt out and 2 other outlets that had discoloration. To replace 3 outlets and 45 minutes work they charged 400+ dollars. What a rip off. This is a 30 dollar maximum equipment charge to buy outlet and cover at Lowe’s. So basically labor is 400 dollars per hour. Don’t recommend this company.

Please read the 1 and 2 star reviews before believing their overall rating. If I could give a zero star rating I would.After having a spring AC upkeep check done by True North // formerly KMA cost “only” $800 which I thought meant all is well for a few more years. Nope, AC completely stopped working 3 months later during the hottest week first week of August. I was told the problem was not just the AC but also the furnace since it was old and needed to be replaced. That “they hadn’t looked at before” but they should have in their spring visit.Since I was going in for rotator cuff surgery the very next day I did not shop around thinking I’d never find another company to fix or install in one day and I’d be coming home from surgery to an 88 degree house. I fell for their $14,500install from Roberto Del Pinal and the next day Kyle Lambright and two other workers were banging and demolishing my old system while laughing and shouting like they were having a party in my basement. They left piles of debris after the Installment which a kind technician, Roger got stuck cleaning up the next day when he came to finish the installment. The piles were mostly from the basement floor tiles that were cracked, kicked up and broken unnecessarily during their demo and installation of the furnace. I have since gotten quotes for repairing the floor tiles and it’s very costly. Not only am I burdened with paying off all of the HVACAnd flooring cost for a long time - I’m also disappointed when told that True North had selected all the top of the line equipment when I had initially asked for any discounts they may offer and explained I was a solo mom and was laid off from my full time job that June and really couldn’t afford 14,500 dollars!!So, do your research! Sadly, trusting people’s word doesn’t work with this company. And please, TN don’t ask for me to call to discuss this further - I have, several times and was promised reimbursement for the damages but have never received payment for 5 months. And I’ve called, left messages with Kortney, Brittany and even on Jay’s, the manager’s cell. Does the Better Business Bureau need to be contacted?

After a different HVAC company installed a new furnace in November they apparently failed to run the thermostat wires to the AC unit so that once the weather got warmer we’d be able to run our air. Brandon and Braden came out today and figured out all the problems, ran the correct wires and the AC unit is up and running blowing ice cold air! I couldn’t thank them enough, we definitely will continue to use True North and recommend them to others

They called as they were leaving their shop, arrived 45 minutes later, and removed and replaced my main breaker panel. The work was done by 1:40 ,PM. The electrician and the trainee were friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. I am very pleased with this work.

We called KMA initially to have them look at our 9 year old heat pump system which is also our central air. We've had issues with it for a year plus now and wanted some options on whether we should repair or replace. The receptionist was very friendly and explained options and we went with just getting an estimate and options which was free. Mitch came out and gave us 3 options and was honest and up front. We even asked if he recommended a total system replacement given the age. He said he would not at this time given what he could see. My fiance and I talked it over and came up with a few questions. We called KMA back and they had Mitch call me and answer all my questions. We decided to go with one of the options he presented and they had Mitch back here the same morning we approved the estimate. He was a Godsend coming today in this weather. Through all of this Mitch was honest and friendly. The staff answering the phone was also very friendly, much more so than I've ever dealt with at any other service company. I recommend these guys for your HVAC needs for sure!

Wow..I don't review companies much, even when I receive poor service, but I thought this was warranted.I called to request a duct cleaning and sanitizing. The technician asked some questions and offered to check for a broken heat exchanger. Given the age of the furnace I asked him to do it.Long story short, I asked for a quote to clean the ducts, replace the furnace, ac components, uv light sanitizer and a new tankless water heater. The initial quote was basically $25,000! While the technician was still here I checked the price of the water heater versus the quote for the installation. Taking into account the cost of the tank, parts and larger gas pipe (1k - very generous), they wanted $5,000 just for the install of the water heater. I also did the same for the furnace and ac components. Needless to say I didn't hire them for the job.There were concerns about carbon monoxide so I put up a monitor on the first floor directly above the utility room and one inside the utility room. The monitors never registered any carbon monoxide in the house. I also had another company check the furnace and it doesn't need replacing....draw your own conclusions.I'm all for a business making a profit. I also understand that there are overhead costs to run a business. I don't understand gouging someone.I have had other work done on my house in the last year or so and to be nice it's been an experience. My advice to anyone is to do you research and don't accept anything at face value. You are a sucker if you don't.

I had lights blinking in house and appliances not seeming to work properly. the last straw was last week when I was using my microwave and noticed in back room the light would dim til the microwave went off. I called these guys. at first they said the person wouldnt be here til later so I almost canceled but then they said they had another person that could come out and within 15 min he was here. he checked my electrical box thoroughly, then went outside and checked wiring outside. came back and let me know my electrical box was fine. the bad news was that a neutral power line that ran from telephone pole to my house was damaged and I needed to call aep. when they came out initially only one guy came he asked to see pics then he got his ladder and went back to the pole to look. he came back and let me know the squirrels had been feasting on the line, and not just mine but a couple of neighbors were affected. a crew would be coming out to do a major repair! they came out and did the work. I was told that this situation could have been dangerous. but because of Donato Natales experience I feel like this guy possibly saved my home and my life. if I need your services I will be calling you guys again. not sure if you do home warranty company work but if u do I hope Donato will be the one doing it. smart beyond his years and for sure made me feel better. thank u for having smart skilled folks working for you and give this guy a raise!!!

Should have used the electric company my father used earlier this month to install our equipment. I thought I would use a local company. Big mistake. Wasted $89.00 on a service call. The electrician was very vocal about his opinion of the equipment i wanted installed. All I wanted was it to be installed. Wasn't paying for his opinion's.The electrician quoted $1100.00 to rework the fuse box. But the manufacturer said the equipment could be installed at the bottom of the fuse box. So no need to spend the $1100.00 quoted by True North.. I will call the other electric company and have them do the job.the True North electrician was very nice and was prompt. Just look at this as a waste of money.

New name same Crooks !Year later and still no refund due to selling and installation of wrong equipment ! They refused to correct the issues and void the ten year warranty do to failed sales and installation! 5100 $ for a 2 ton coil and condenser setting in my mother garage! KMA KMA don't do business with KMAI Highly advise to avoid doing business with KMA !They charge my mother 5100.00 for a air conditioner and coil only !!!Installed the wrong coil , system won't run or cool properly at all !!Since the wrong coil was installed it more than likely damaged the new A/C compressor !They said they would replace the coil but can't warranty the a/c compressor that should have a 10 year warranty ! That is now void do to the sales and installation of the wrong coil !! Avoid KMA at all cost5100 $ they refuse to refund the money or warranty equipment they sold and installed !!! They refuse to own the mistakes on sales and install and honor the warranty and way way over charged on top of that !!Patriot Air quoted a complete system a/c furnace and all for 5300$ installed that will be getting installed this Thursday !Please share , I refuse to let this business treat my mother or anyone's family this way ! I gave them one star for showing up. I will never use KMA again nor will we recommend them to anyone. I should have been suspicious when a salesman also showed up with the repair man. As soon as the repair man hears our AC he said oh no you are gonna need a compressor. He said the loud noise was an indicator of a compressor malfunction. As soon as the salesman heard that he then began trying to get me to get a new air conditioning unit. The repair man did a couple more checks on the unit. I asked if it could be fixed and the repair man said yes $4,500 to replace the compressor. But the salesman said I should just get a new ac unit for $13,000. I said I needed to talk to my husband. So we had another company come out and service our unit. Nope we DID NOT need a new compressor. The unit just needed to be cleaned and the new repair man went into the house and noticed that our heat was on at the same time as our air. Nope the KMA guy didn’t go in the house to look at the unit. Therefore, we only had to pay $314 versus $4,500 and we did not need a new compressor!! Advance Heating and Cooling in Zanesville,Ohio is who my husband and I recommend.

I noticed water leaking from the AC drain pipe on a Sunday evening. My furnace was making an awful noise. Is it rain all night making this terrible noise. The repairman took his time to look at the entire unit and make sure everything was working perfectly. He also checked outside with the heat pump and major everything was working perfectly there. The noise had stopped just prior to his coming to my home I was hoping it would make that noise again while he was here but it here but it did not. I have every confidence that he checked out everything possible possible and the unit is working beautifully and quietly now. These guys were fast. My old furnace finally gave up a couple days ago, and were able to get me taken care of in just a couple days. New install was done in little over half a day even with them having to cut apart the huge old system into manageable pieces to even fit it out the door.They were extremely friendly, relaxed and polite—it’s normally stressful having strangers in the house, but that wasn’t the case with them. Their technician Kyle Lambright tool excellent care of us and give us all the info we needed.When everywhere else was “too busy” to send anyone out to a complete heat outage with the temperatures in the teens, KMA were out in only an hour or two with a repair guy. When the old system wasn’t repairable, a consultant was out to see us in two hours to let us know our options, and it wasn’t a high pressure sales pitch. I’m glad we went with them, and will be calling them first if our house has any other issues.

Tom from KMA showed up promptly to provide an estimate and was able to schedule the job for the same week. This was a non-emergent panel change. I feel they would have gotten me in within the day if it was an emergency.Tom went the extra mile by separating out some overloaded circuits, installing proper protection for the outdated wiring in my home, and even installing a much needed outlet in my basement.... Trust me when I say that that is not typical for a basic panel change. Thank you guys!

recharging Ac price given to me$599, after proving oter company ha given me a price of $188, and talking to the company, they reduced the price to $285.25. I called 3 times requesting an invoice and report of job diagnose and repair, they sent me an estimate for :Recharge unit. $385.25discount. -$113.75I told them it is not an invoice and report. It does not say anything to me. Now I am waiting for an invoice, job testing, and job done plus what i paid for what.

I had my fall tune up completed and I was told the employee (I was not present during tune up) was very nice and when I spoke with him on the phone to go over the estimate, he again was very kind and professional. However, the poor rating is not his fault.... it lies with the company pricing. They wanted to charge me over $650 to replace a part I secured today for $35!!! They also wanted to charge me $250 to clean the dust off the fan wheel. So, in all they wanted to charge me over $900 for a part that I bought for $35 and dust and dirt that I will clean off myself. This is ridiculous and is taking advantage of folks. Never again will I use KMA and I will be sure to tell everyone asking for HVAC recommendations of my experience. I do feel bad for the nice repairman that is just put in an awkward spot with such outlandish pricing.

The service performed was an inspection of my five year old furnace for a promotion price of $49.00. An upgrade to my air filter system was strongly suggested, accepted and paid in full. The serviced was scheduled however I reconsidered the next day due to Covid19 and the expense. I now realized the promotion inspection was designed to sell additional services - let the buyer beware.

The technician came over Tuesday for a sound that was thought to be coming from the circuit breaker. It turned out the sound was coming from a backup battery for something totally different. After the discovery the technician decided that because it wasn't an actual electrical issue I wasn't charged a fee at all. Great company. Great employee service. Highly recommended.

I was quoted that I needed to purchase a new furnace when in fact I did not. My furnace is only 7 years old and I was told that to repair it, the cost would be $6,000.00 so I should consider purchasing a new one. I explained that there was no way the furnace needed replaced after 7 years. I called another repair company who quoted me $500.00 for the part needed to repair it. KMA over charges and capitalizes on lying to consumers about repairs in order to selling new items to make more money.I have a family member who used them for electrical services in there home and they convinced my family member to have there electrical system rewired and a new breaker box put it. They didn't need the need the whole house rewired and when they installed the wiring and the breaker box they installed it improperly and shorted the ceiling lights as well as caused damage to a small electric pellet stove. It seems they are somewhat incompetent and prey on consumers not knowing about heating, cooling or electrical. Don't use KMA. You will pay alot of money for shotty work.

I called for some assistance with some electrical work. It wasn’t a “cookie cutter” item that they could price out over the phone, so I took it on faith that they would charge me $89 plus whatever other costs they might find. Truth is, I didn’t need them for more than 10 minutes (even the tech that came out agreed it would take that long). They quoted the “10-minute job” at FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS. I was beyond shocked. So now I was forced to pay these sheisters, the $89 after asking them to leave. I’ve never been more insulted by an estimate. Stay away from this company if you don’t want to get conned.

System didn't work from day oneHad a service guy come out after a hour on the phone with tech support they determined the wrong coil was installed !Sales guy said we can install the correct coil but we can't warranty the compressor in the new A/C so she would lose the 10 year warranty !She asked for a refund and now is left with a system that is worthless paper weight !Share and help get this lady her money back !Avoid this company !!!

Power went out in my garage after my son used an electric wood splitter which was plugged into an outlet installed by KMA in autumn of 2018. We thought it tripped the breaker but after a quick check this was not the case. KMA diagnosed the problem as a burnt power supply wire from the house to the garage within a half an hour. The repairman repaired the wire and was finished within an hour. After researching local electrical repair businesses and found the price of $382 excessive verging upon price gouging. The invoice said $282 for a diagnostic fee which took 30 minutes. The repair was about $80. I found diagnostic fees were approximately $100 per hour. Unless KMA can justify their pricing scheme this will end our relationship.

7/19/21--Decided to contact them again to come out and fix all the sinking trench spots. Got a text back the next day that someone from electrical management would reach out to me to remedy the situation that day. As has been typical, there was no contact and I sent another message to them asking the status on following-up on this. Still no response back...Even if they do come out to fix things, it's just not worth it to me to go through all of this with all the money and time spent on their services.07/16/21--So far everything in my mini split installation and panel service are going well. The mini split is a little loud when it kicks on but I was able to secure the cover a little better to reduce vibration. I had them run a line to the pond for an aerator I'm going to install. They hit my sewer line with the trench digger and broke it, but got someone out that day to fix it. The sewer line wasn't at code depth, but you can see where it exits into grade from the basement where the line goes out so I'm not sure how I feel about that explanation. The trench they dug wasn't backfilled properly so now I have a bunch of spots after it rained where the ditch has sunk in. Other parts where the dirt wasn't leveled. Looks like instead of tamping and packing it, they just drove over it with the ditch witch. They didn't put insulation back in from having to remove it to run the line inside the home. I would have contacted them to give them another chance to remedy all these things, but I'm pretty exhausted with having to contact them about anything and I shouldn't have to for these things. They said they'd do a run through of everything as part of a quality control for the services and they never made good on scheduling that either. For the expense of the whole thing and the experience, I'm not sure I'd use them again, but there just aren't a whole lot of other options in my area. Everything seems to work and the interactions with them onsite were good, but not very impressed with the experience or quality or cleanup or follow-up.UPDATE 6/8/21: They reached out to me and scheduled another estimate the next day. While considerably more expensive than the first estimate, this may be due to increased costs for parts due to COVID and manufacturing. The technician and GM that came out were great--the same technician from the first estimate, and he was great too. The problem was just the length of time and the repeated contacts. I will update again once service is completed, but they are working with me to schedule things so the review is upgraded from 1 star to 3.Original Review: Scheduled a consult for a mini split installation. They got out here within a day. However, once the estimate for installation was finished, I was told I'd have it emailed to me by the time he left my house. 3 months later, multiple emails, texts and chats online (me reaching out to them, not them reaching out to me) and no one is getting the estimate to me. I was told he was busy during the first few contact attempts. Then eventually they just stopped responding. And there was nothing aggressive or abrasive about how I reached out to them.

They removed my furnace and AC with the intention of putting in a new one. The new one arrived and it was the wrong one. that was 3 days ago. I've made numerous calls and never even received one back after they promised 3 times they would call right away. They don't even have the courtesy to return a phone call after they had the audacity to remove my furnace and AC without replacing it. I have no idea if I'm going to get a new one or when I'm going to get it i.n the meantime my life is up in the air because I know nothing because no one will tell me anything. This is the most unbelievable, unprofessional nightmare experience I've ever had in my life. I would never hire this company for anyting they are and incompetent and dishonest.

Update: they tried to make up for what was done wrong . Manager called me and I am happy I was acknowledged as a customer and he sincerely apologize . Thank you .Do your research before you pay up, I paid over $5800 for breaker box and main wire . The technicians are awesome . Office staff needs to be replaced ! Took them 5 month to get the inspectors to come out check the work when it should of taken a week or less .

I’m not one to normally give bad reviews but when one is due, it’s due. I scheduled an appointment for Oct.4 as same day service only because they stated they had availability. The email advised that a tech would be at my house between 1-4 pm. At 345 pm when no had yet shown, I called and spoke with someone. They stated that I was next on the list and somebody would be there after 4 pm. Ok no problem. I get a call about 445 pm that the tech is 15 min. away. Only problem was he never showed up. I gave up hope at 6 and was very disappointed. If you can’t make it that’s fine, just tell the customer you can’t make it! I had been waiting at my house since 1 pm, not impressed.

Was supposed to come out to my house between 1pm and 5pm to do estimate on full furnace and AC Replacement didn't get the call from him until 615pm that he was on the way upon talking to him he simply made a Is full furnace estimate, not even coming out to my house I thought it was customary. Called for help with underground power line damaged with trencher. Technician arrived and informed me that he did not have an underground wire tracker. And that he would not repair an underground break anyway. Charged $89 for nothing. How can you accept a job you can’t or won’t do and still bill? He was very nice otherwise.

Dustin Elliott gave us great service today. He installed a float switch for us and he also went above and beyond and fixed where the filter goes in on the furnace, it was very difficult to replace the filter and he made it very easy for me. The Electrical Technician (Matthew) is punctual, courteous, professional and takes ownership of his work - excellent impression at this point. KMA follows through to the scheduling and passing of an inspection and happy KMA backs their service with a guarantee the product will work. Matthew more than makes amends for the delay of the mini-split install. Matthew's professional explanation for the delay, the connection of the mini-split to the electrical panel, and the filling with foam of the three-inch exterior holes the HVAC crew left (during below freezing temperatures and during an ice storm) has saved KMA an irate customer. I learned a good bit today from Dustin. How to change the filters, what's the best kind to get and where for the best price, how to turn the furnace off without shutting it off downstairs, (I'd never thought about that before)air filters are the best way to keep the furnace in good running order and with 3 little chihuahuas who shed daily, 30 days is better than 90 or 60. That's something to remember because I want the furnace to last as long as possible. Thank you, Dustin! And it was fun meeting you, too!

This review has taken me a while to want to write. First off, I have used KMA several times before and never was disappointed. That being said, when it came time to fix the furnace I am an intelligent person and came to the conclusion that a part was shorted on the furnace. I put a new part on and was still having issues so we called KMA. On September 24th 2020, we had a representative come and look to see what was wrong. As the representative was testing, the new part that was just replaced, burnt out and I don’t know if it was on purpose or not but the guy was trying his best to sell us a new furnace. Even telling him that I put several new parts on it, he stating that some parts were out dated and some that were not in parameters of code today. He also stated that he was certified by three years of education on HVAC servicing and this should be handled by him. Felling like that was a kick to me not being an HVAC technician, that put me on the defensive, and a few more jabs and we asked him to leave. I will now refer my business elsewhere since some of their employees are more salesmen than technicians trying to help you. By the way, the problem was the thermostat went bad and was making the fuse blow.

I’m so thankful we decided to call KMA for our electric needs. We had an issue occur on Friday and reached out to them frantic to get help before the weekend. Within 2 hours of contacting them, Dustin arrived and we knew we’d called the right place. He worked tirelessly to diagnose and fix the problem, going above and beyond to explain the issue and teach us about our house’s wiring. I was extremely impressed by KMA.One of the GFCI outlets in the house would not reset. After exhausting the quick fixes that a Google search revealed, I called KMA. They offered quick service at a great price, so I decided to give them a try. The technician was very friendly and knowledgeable, and found the cause of the problem quickly. Great customer service! But felt because I was a female I may have been taken advantage of. Tech told me there was a crack in the heat exchanger and condemed it. 4-days later our insurance sent a company to look at it and said there are zero cracks and the smell most likely was from excess dust from the filter. They reconnected the furnace and there are ZERO issues. That saved me $6000 for the second opinion. They even said we could get another opinion if we still felt unsafe, but reassured they would not reconnect if there were and test that would have came back positive. Get second Opinions its work the wait in dollars.

We recently had KMA Electric do work at my daughter's recently purchased home. We had them replace the breaker box, upgrading to 150 Amp, replacing the meter, and adding a surge protector. Scheduling was easy and prompt. Technicians Nate and Chris arrived to do the service, and could not have been more polite and helpful, explaining what they would be doing and how long the process would be. They began the work immediately, and kept me current on the progress they were making (important, as the electricity had to be turned off). They gave me a time frrame, worked without taking a break, and actually completed the work before I expected them to.When the work was finished they walked us through the labeling of the breakers, and made sure that everything was functioning properly. The work looked great, seems to function perfectly, and they cleaned up, leaving everything just as it was before they got started.Needless say, having work done in such a professional and courteous manner is a big plus for us, and we would not hesitate to use KMA again, or recommend them to family and friends.

Did good work, very timely and efficient. They weren't very transparent on cost structure though. Was told of a $60 service fee prior to the visit and that they'd confirm with me for any other costs for repairs -- guy came out and said nothing was wrong and everything was okay -- then was slapped w/ $190 bill for testing/diagnosis saying that they have to charge for the testing to make sure it was okay.

This was the third time I have used KMA Electric, and everytime they have been incredibly professional, efficient, considerate and friendly. Today it was Todd Wood who provided service, quoting for three different items, and then proceeding immediately with the item we wanted done today. He worked efficiently, was considerate of our house, cleaned up so there was no sign/mess anything had been done, and was very friendly discussing different options for what we needed to have done. At this point, I would say KMA has made a customer for life!

The part may have been a little more coming from a repair shop and it has a 1 year warranty on it. But i cant see almost $300 for the part and 30 mins of labor.I would recommend them for quick and friendly service. But if you can get a diagnostic and fix it on your own, id recommend going that route.

Called set an appointment for day off. Received a follow up voicemail saying 9am would be the time they were coming, a day later no one comes. I call they say they called because they were coming the day before.... So I don't answer my door no one calls to see why I'm not home or to check the schedule?! Such BS and horrible customer serviceSince I can't reply I'll just edit... None of what you said is accurate. You never offered to send some one out right away. Why would I keep asking what are going to do to make it right? You offered the following week at best. I never received a voicemail after after I was a no show. I set it up for a Friday never would have on a Thursday I work every Thursday. Again if you offered to send someone out right away when I called wondering where they were I would not have been mad that makes no sense, nice try.

I do not recommend KMA at all. This company's pricing is extremely unreasonable. Prior to their technician coming over we thought there was something wrong with the wiring in the house, but it turned out to be something simple that was a quick fix--literally took the guy a couple minutes. KMA charged us $60 for the dispatch fee, and nearly $200 for a diagnostic of one circuit. Now I understand a stupid tax, and I'm willing to pay that, but $260 to flip a switch is unreasonable and in poor business practices. I tried to contact the company regarding these prices, but they have not returned my phone calls. Unprofessional and low.

I called KMA to finish installing a ceiling fan in my bathroom, it took a day for them to show up and give me a price of $250.00 with no warranty on the job. I explained to him that all I needed was the fan put into the opening in the ceiling and to be in working order. After I approved the proposal he started, the tech needed a ladder, tape to put the vent hose together and at the end a pop because he was thirsty. The photos that I have enclosed are after he finished and how he left the job, I called spoke to the manager and waited another day for someone to finish the job that I already paid for. During this time I had to clean the bathroom due to all the ceiling plaster that was left on the floor and not cleaned up by the first guy. After the second tech left there is still a hole between the fan and the ceiling, Overall extremely poor job, the manager never called to see how it went, I felt just like a number and they were trying to get more done and really did not care. I do not think that I will ever use this company of give them any type of recommendation!!!!

Called KMA today to get a home warranty invoice taken care of. I was trying to explain that the home warranty takes a deductible from myself then pays the rest. But, that they needed to talk to the technician when he was here to get the diagnosis and total cost before doing the work. The problem is that as soon as I tried explaining this she told me that isn't how it worked like I didn't talk to my warranty rep. When I told her that this warranty requires talking to the technician and that I will be paying a deductible while they are here before doing the work she basically started yelling over me and didn't allow me to speak until I said nevermind and hung up. Whether or not I was paying the deductible or up front shouldn't matter, you are getting paid either way. Saying the technicians are not allowed to speak to the warranty company is not only ridiculous but fishy as sin. When you answer the phone and say KMA how can we make you smile make sure you ate a snickers and are able to smile too. That was very unbecoming and overly rude for a company that has a very good reputation. There are much better ways of saying We won't work with that warranty company. Like, exactly how I just said that. Ok cool, mo harm no foul. Instead I got someone behaving like a child and trying to belittle the caller like they are stupid and yelling over them. That's cool, business elsewhere then.

My husband made an appt for KMA to come on my day off - Thursday. I scheduled everything around them coming at our set time of 3pm. Around 345 I was notified that we were bumped from the day becusae the crew was held up at another job. They added us to the next day’s (Friday) schedule and my husband arranged to leave work early since I would be at work. We were assured that we would not get bumped again. However, we were notified late afternoon that they wouldn’t make it. Since it was now the weekend, we would have to wait until Monday but they’d waive the diagnostics fee. I have a 2 yr old and no power in her room or my room for our baby monitor. We wasted 2 days of not calling another company because we trusted KMA’s word. Needless to say, we are not giving them a 3rd chance. Highly disappointed and would NOT recommend.

I scheduled an appointment for early morning due to my work schedule. The call center was super friendly. Said I would be their “first appointment.” As the morning rolled along, no electrician. I called and they said would have a dispatch her call me. Half an hour later, one called and said have it for the afternoon on their schedule, and then informed me the electricians current job is an all day job and may be real late in afternoon (or not at all it sounded like). The dispatcher said she didn’t know why the call center told me early morning, “they don’t schedule the times.”So why have a call center? These folks aren’t concerned about your time. I told her I’d find someone else. Didn’t seem to bother her in the slightest. Horrible service. I would avoid them if I were you.

I am very impressed with this company. Our AC broke a few days ago during a heat wave. The temperature in our house was running at 92 degrees. The technicians were able to come out the next day and were absolutely amazing. The job was much longer than anticipated due to our old system being 42 years old. They were very kind and professional and worked very hard to help us. I would also recommend KMA to anyone!!!

I contact KMA about having some ethernet outlets installed after fighting with my ISP over issues with wifi speed. I understand that with wifi, I'm not going to get the 100Mbps that I'm paying for... but I shouldn't be getting 3Mbps. There was only one outlet at the time and it was frustrating anytime I needed to do homework or get connected to meetings.For the initial consultation, Mark and Luke came out, listened to what I wanted, looked at the house and gave me options to work with. They both were very professional, friendly, polite and honest; they had even informed me that wiring ethernet outlets are not a common request from customers. They gave me price options and when I had asked for time to think about it, they said to take as much time as you need. They even recommended alternative options like a wifi booster to see if that would remedy the issue. After everything was completed, they stayed and ensured everything was put back, connected and tested. If I ever need anything else from KMA and it has to do with electrical, I will ask for them personally and wait until they are available to do so!!!

Arranged an appointment 2 weeks in advance and when the day came no one arrived. Called the office and was told it was not on the schedule. Rescheduled for the following day and I called that morning to confirm arrival time and was informed that all their tech.s were on an emergency and were not available but was assured that they would be there the next day,for sure. On the third morning, after the arrival time had passed, I called the company again and was given an excuse as to why they would not be there that morning. I cancelled the work.I would not use this company.

Mitchel Miller and Robbie Cook did an exceptional job when installing a new electrical panel at my condo. Their work was top notch. They installed all of the multitude of wires into the box in a very organized manner.They cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend KMA to others and use them myself for future electrical issues. My power went out due to the high winds and a tree falling on my powerlines on Saturday, April 2, 2016. I called KMA Sunday morning. Johnathan was her before noon. He had to replace my meter box and the electrical wiring that connects to the AEP wiring from the pole. He was done a little after 3PM. During his work and our conversation, It was easy to see that he enjoyed his work. He was very personable and answered all of my many questions. He explained them in terms I could understand. The work was done in about an hour before AEP restored my power. If I do need electrical work done in the future, I will definitely call KMA and I would recommend them to anyone who may need electrical work done. Please thank Johnathan for a job well done.

When our AC went out last summer, KMA not only came out the next day and got our very old AC patched up until they were able to replace the whole unit a few days later. They also sent someone to inspect our electrical panel for free. The team that installed our new furnace and AC were very knowledgable and professional and were very diligent about not tracking mud in the house on a rainy muddy day. Today we had another free panel inspection with the same technician, Walter, who was once again professional and super helpful. All of our service has been speedy and excellent.

Dustin recharged our AC and added sealant for $1000, and fewer than 2 weeks later it was bone dry. They didn’t guarantee their fix of the AC, and it is obvious to me they were hoping we would buy their $17,000 system. Very disappointing experience, and I would recommend you look elsewhere for service.

I live 4 mins/2 miles from their offices. They are literally up the street. They wanted $59.00 just to come down the road a couple of blocks give me an estimate for an electrical outlet install. No thanks! Many other electrical contractors in town who will do free estimates and I am sure better work.

Had a family member use them for some pretty extensive work. They were always on time, worked for very long periods to make certain everything was done within as few days as possible, and made certain that what they did was up to code. I will NEVER recommend KMA as they are scam artists!Technician Roberto Del Pinal was out to diagnose our slow AC yesterday. He recommended a full replacement of both furnace and AC, which was red flag number 1. AC wouldn’t not work immediately after their visit. I called and their immediate response was “well if it isn’t covered by warranty, then you’ll have to pay”….. I didn’t even ask about payment, I just wanted it fixed. Red flag #2.Turns out, he left a wire disconnected to the capacitor. The wire is connected in such a way that it isn’t easily disconnected, could have fallen off or been bumped off. He intentionally left it disconnected while they were quoting a $10k-$15k system…. Do NOT hire them, they will try to scam you!!

All of the things I listed that they preformed didnt actually happen. Electrician came in said I'm not doing any of this. I will only cap the light socket in the basement and fix the porch light but the rest isnt my responsibility. Umm ok so you charge 1700.00 to put a cover on something. Horrible would NOT recommend. I had what appeared to be a circuit breaker failure and I thought I knew which one. After returning to the truck to get a screwdriver he removed the panel, cycled the breaker and declared it ok. He went to the kitchen, removed a switch plate and found no power. Returned to the truck to get his tester and found that it was another breaker that was faulty. Returned to the truck and found he had a replacement which he installed.It seems to me that bringing in a tool caddy and perhaps listening to the customer would have saved time.The result was satisfactory.

The estimates I requested were done efficiently by the technician (Matt) as was the job I asked them to do (placement of a new exterior outlet - also done by Matt). Matt was friendly, professional and did great work.My issue with KMA is that each time I made an appointment (first for the estimate and then for the job), they did not show up on the appointment day, and they did not call to let me know they were not coming. Each time, they rescheduled and came the next day, but in this age of instant communication and tracking of service people, I think a call or text letting me know they were going to miss an appointment should be a standard part of doing business.So my overall 3-star rating is really a 5 for the work done and a 0 for communication regarding missed appointments.

Ken came to my house to service my heater that wasn't working he checked it out explaining everything he was doing and showing me all he done and found and explained all my opinions and that there was more to check out after he got it working he done more tests after he took care of the problem he explained the whole visit to me I felt I could have done the work myself ken was very professional and nice very knowledgeable and thorough I've had my heater worked on in the pass never had the things done that Ken did he explained he would NEVER leave a job without a complete inspection of the whole heating system I'm a first time KMA customer and will be a life long customer now from all that was involved with my experience with KMA job well done and Ken Miller was excellent.

Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because they are expensive. Although I did accept the quote(because they were already on site to fix an urgent matter), call it buyer's remorse but by my account I was charged almost $200/Hr. The urgent quote was fair, the add on stuff not so much. The tech was great and a really nice guy.

Shane searched, searched, and searched again until he identified the cause of the problem. He showed me and fully explained the cause of the problem and what was needed to resolve it. Replacing and enlarging the circuit breaker panel and necessary wiring was done professionally, in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost. Quoted my Fiance $5,000 to replace a 100 amp panel with a 200 amp panel. Kept pressuring her to do the work immediately. My advice was to say no and get another quote. We contacted a highly-rated electrician from Angie's List. Their quote for the same work was only $900! You know who we chose.

called because a A/c unit has been freezing up. They sent an electrician instead of HVAC tech. He said he called and got one dispatched for that afternoon. So I went ahead and used the electrician for a separate project. I stayed until 8:30 that night waiting on HVAC. Still nobody a week later. So I called asking if they had ever planned to have a HVAC tech come out. No sense of urgency at all. Told me the same thing as the last time, that it would be the next morning. We are a nursing home facility and do not really appreciate getting the end-around. especially after being understanding of the confusion and still did business for the electrician.

called kma for a price quote to reconnect a power line in my wall that was cut due to a deck door being installed...they wanted 1455.00, so i called 2 other electric compaines and both were around the same amount of 300 to 400. now may of just been the estimate guy from kma jacking up the price but always get a second opion! saved me 1 grand.

We called KMA to do a full electric inspection on an older home we were considering purchasing. Scheduling the inspection over the phone was quick, easy, and overall, a pleasant experience. To our surprise, the inspection was free - just another positive to add!Ian M. was the inspector who worked with us and to say he was awesome feels like an understatement! Bad news. Set an appointment, no one showed up. Called half an hour after scheduled appt., said call center had set up my appt without checking their schedules of available techs. Offered to give next available appt., calling 1.5 hrs. before tech would arrive. I declined. An appointment is an appointment. Also promised an email from tech so we'd know who was coming. No email arrived. They talk a mean game. Would not call again.

Called around 9:45pm with no electric in the house but power at the power box outside. I seen they were open 24/7. Who ever we spoke to said they will be out in 59 minutes. Got a text message saying they would respond between 10:55p and 11:55p. Around 12:30 am I called asking if they could give an ETA, they said they had to call technician and they would return our call. 12:51 am we get a call from the tech saying he was sleeping and he wasn’t working tonight so we’d have to call back in the morning. We were willing to pay for emergency service price or whatever they needed to charge us, but don’t say your open 24 hours when your really not, and also there was obviously miscommunication between the person who took the call thinking tech was working overnight when he wasn’t. We waited 3 hours for nothing. Ended up calling another company who had someone out in less then 20 minutes. If you are needing emergency electrical repair, do not call this company.

Called 3 days in a row for an electrical emergency on a mobile home. Was told very day a different time. I would have to be the one to call and find out why the guy was 4 or more hours late each day. Finally after 3 days of no communication, I went with Mr Electric. They showed up 15 minutes earlier than the scheduled time, done great work. I scheduled the maintenance visit easily online. They confirmed the visit via text and sent a reminder the day before. On the day of the visit they texted a picture of the technician Ken Miller and approximately what time he would arrive. During the visit, Ken was professional, efficient and friendly. He adjusted my AC so it would run more efficiently. He also helped me by letting me know how I could save money by choosing a yearly maintenance plan. I was surprised at the low cost. KMA installed my furnace and AC. I would recommend them for installation and maintenance.

I was hoping to get the Free Furnace deal for March, But I found out it was only a 80% furnace that is free and I have a 90% furnace so there was a upcharge. which was not in the Advertisement.

Very Shady company. Home owner beware will charge very high prices and try to up sell their services with fear tactics. Get a second opinion and you will see. They are not very well liked by other electrical companies because of their unethical business practices. They send their electricians to schools on how to up sell with fear tactics. A cable installer accidentally drilled into the power supply line on the outside my house. I was jumping through hoops trying to find an electrician that would not only be able to come immediately but would also accept payment from the cable company's insurance rather than me. After a few failures I contact KMA. Peggy was sympathetic to my situation and was happy to work with the insurance company, whom she contacted directly so I didn't have to. An hour after I called Jonathan Mesler arrived. He was courteous, friendly, and empathetic to what I was going through. He took the time to inspect all of the electrical components to include the panel and outlets. He never pushed any sales or upgrading. I never told him everything was less than a few years old but he could tell and, unlike a lot of companies, he didn't try to scam me into replacing equipment that didn't need replacing.He didn't have the right parts he needed for the job but was quick to run to the hardware store and get everything. He worked diligently, adding waterproofing around the electric meter and a new weather head, even though neither were needed. For two hours, late on a Friday night he worked and talked to me, explaining everything he was doing. Then he took the extra time to quote me some additional work that I want to do in the future. Amazing company. Amazing customer service. KMA will be my new electric company for any issues I have.

Commissioned KMA for inground pool wiring, bonding, etc. I can say it was a good experience overall. My only gripe was there was some break down in communication but KMA did honor the agreement and made good on the work. **UPDATED 3/28**While I will still stand by this company desperately needing work on their customer service, I wanted to update that the technician that came to our home yesterday was absolutely wonderful. He was very nice and fixed our problem quickly. After leaving my review 2 days ago, the customer service rep was not happy with me and made that very clear when she immediately called me with a horrific attitude. I would say that she alone has turned me far away from this company and I hope the owner of the company does read this. I will no longer use this company or answer the phone calls/emails they are sending. I worked in customer service for over a decade and if I spoke to customers/clients the way I was spoken to, I would have lost my job.*Previous review*This company has no sense of what customer service is, if I could give no stars I would. First, I had an appointment set for last Thursday at 4:30 PM, they didn't call me until 30 minutes AFTER my appointment to tell me that the tech was running late. The tech still didn't show up for almost another 20 minutes. I get that some jobs may take longer than expected, but you do not call someone 30 minutes AFTER their appointment, you call them prior to the agreed upon scheduled time. Second, the tech didn't check his work. We found on Friday afternoon that the issue was not resolved. My husband tried to call the tech directly on his work phone, never received any contact back. Called the office on Sunday morning (wanting to give the tech some time to call us back) and spoke with a representative that put us on the tech's schedule (or so he said) for today (Monday) between noon-4 PM. He confirmed dispatch would call me in the morning to confirm the appointment. Well it is now after 3 PM and I have yet to hear back from 'dispatch'. Called this afternoon and we mysteriously have no appointment set for today nor do they have any record of me calling on Sunday. Honestly, the only reason I even want this company to return is because I already paid them to fix the issue.

I was scheduled to have an estimate originally 6-18-18 between 12 and 2. It was then rescheduled for June 21 between 12 and 4. I wanted to call the office to see roughly when the tech was coming. I called 5 different KMA numbers and none of them worked! How can you have 5 numbers and none of them are answered? I am very disappointed with this company. How can a company run like this? This is an update to a prior negative review I posted on KMA. My wife and I had an emergency regarding electrical power lines coming into the house being damaged. They came out and gave a quote. We hired them, but were later told by the City of Columbus that they would send a technician out to inspect the issue. The city tech came out, and fixed the problem free of charge. We were upset, and wrote a bad review, because we thought we were being taken advantage of because we would have been charged for something we got for free. Unfortunately, we did not have all of the facts before posting the review. To my surprise, the owner called me and spoke with me for over 30 minutes today, honestly and thoroughly explaining the problems with this quick fix. He was/is concerned there may still be a safety issue, and that if the quick fix fails, anything hooked up electrically in the home could be damaged/destroyed in the future. Although we decided on a refund (which he promptly gave us by hand delivering a check to us), we will use KMA for all future needs due to the company's honesty and integrity. In fact, we are budgeting money aside every month, so that we may have him perform a proper job in the future, ensuring the safety of our family and our property. My apologies for the misunderstanding between KMA and ourselves.

If I could give Mr. Mesler 100 stars, I would. He was very professional, very courteous, explained everything to where we could understand, and had an all around phenomenal sense of knowledge of what he was talking about and explaining. Even though we plan to take on the service he recommended in the near future anyways, he did not force himself on us to take that day. He was very polite to our son, and it made us feel like we have known him longer than just a couple hours. KMA has a great asset when it comes to him.

Edward was very good - he worked closely with me and my insurance - he explained the issues (and there was a lot) with my breaker box and why it wasn't working and what specifically needed to be corrected. Took about 6 1/2 hours to complete repairs and he provided updates during process.Overall price I felt was a little high but felt his quality of work was good. This was the only company that came out late same day to provide estimate. Made several calls and no other company could dispatch emergency service - entire power was out.

It is 11:00 and I am still waiting for my 9:00 appointment for a quote. I have called and asked the wait time multiple times and told the technician was 30 minutes away almost 2 hours ago. Not to mention I have to call them to get updates. You would think they would contact you if they were over 2 hours late for an appointment.

Nobody likes a know it all in real life, but when it comes to electrical work its what you might look for and never find. While I found that in KMA electric. No only were the most knowledgeable but they also provided the best service, customer service, and price I have found anywhere in Columbus. Maurice McGlothlin, was my tech. He came because my ceiling fan wasn't working. He was able to diagnose and have the issue correct less than an hour. He stated, he could have saved me money had I just call him to install it. I have a couple more electrical projects and he will be getting a call in the up coming week . I have had both my furnace and air conditioning units replaced by KMA within the past 5 years. At first I was impressed with how quickly they came, and how reasonably priced they were. For the next few months, things went pretty smoothly except for the fact that they didn't replace the thermostat when they said they would, and no matter how often we called to reschedule, there were excuses. In the end, we just stopped calling.Every time the seasons change and we need to switch from heating to air we have problems. Once again, our air conditioner isn't working. We had it looked at by a different company last year who said that we have a refrigerant leak. He put in $300 worth of new refrigerant to get us through the summer because we couldn't afford to have the entire system repaired. We had called KMA before we called the other guys but they insisted that it was our own fault, and that it was going to cost nearly as much to repair it as we had paid to put in the new system. There was no talk of a leak, of course. Just that my filter was dirty, so I had ruined the machine myself. They did charge me $500 to come out and allegedly clean out my entire system, though, which is odd because a month or so after that I found toys in the register that my daughter had when she was a baby. She was 18 at the time that I found them.We have also had to repair the furnace each year as well. I replace my air filter every month, and order them 6 months at a time. I also use my shop vac to constantly clean out the registers myself. But I'm sure that they will just insist that it's my fault that nothing works right. I know the truth, though.I'll be filing complaints everywhere and with every agency that I can to protect other consumers from the same nightmare that I'm now living in my 87 degree house, with a unit that is barely 5 years old. I don't even trust them to come out to attempt to repair their mistakes anymore. They should pay Columbus Worthington Air to fix it - those are people who know what they're doing!

The electrical issues encountered were much more complicated and involved than initially thought. KMA did not give up and sent their senior electrician, Wade, to solve my issues. He was wonderful in all respects. I can understand why KMA values him so highly. He cares about the people he services and stays until the problem is resolved. Highly recommend.IK.

On one of the coldest nights on record, my furnace went out! Other places were charging $250 just to come look at my furnace. Kma was honest with me. They did not have anyone available until the morning. However, they were here by 8:30 a.m. Being a widow whose husband used to take care of these things, I was very worried and upset when I called. The woman who answered my call was very patient and calm. Anthony and Dustin came to my home. They were very kind and professional. They had to drive 2 hours in terrible weather to get a part they needed, but I had heat by 12:30! They were upfront and honest about their work and the cost (which was VERY reasonable). I would highly recommend KMA to anyone!! I will definitely call them for any future work! Thank you!!

If I could give a 0 star I would. They told me a week ago they would get me in for a Friday job between noon and 4. At 3:30 they called to cancel it leaving me with a second weekend with an electrical issue I needed fix. They didn't offer any help to fix the issue or rectify it, just told me tough and that I could maybe get in on Monday. Now I can't even get another electrician in this late so they double screwed. I took time to work from home and reschedule a meeting so I could be here and KMA bailed on their end of the bargain. The worst company I've ever had to deal with.

I had purchased a Z-Wave smart switch and was going to install it myself. Shortly into the process, I realized I was in over my head. I called KMA, and they sent Chris Westenbarger, with whom I had dealt before. My grandparents (who are in their 70's) furnace went out in December. They called the first place they found, which was KMA. KMA came out and said the furnace was completely shot. I will say now, the only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because how nice and polite the service tech's were that came out to their house. They were great! But, my grandparents not knowing to call and get price comparisons, got ripped off so badly! They paid $10,000 for a new furnace and installation! KMA came in and installed the first furnace, which did not work. They had to come back in and rip that one out and again place another new one in. This whole process took more than 3 weeks. Everything took so long and got so screwed up throughout the whole process, they ended up putting in an air filtration system and home humidifier for free. The part the really grinds my gears is how badly they over paid for everything. Beware, you will pay 5x more for anything with this company than other companies. CALL AND COMPARE ESTIMATES FIRST!

Our church recently had to complete a major and unexpected project that included extensive electrical work at the neighboring parsonage. Our realtor told us that we needed to remove the 'knob-and-tube' wiring from our 100+ year old home before we could sell it. We called KMA and they arrived within the hour. That's when we learned alot about 'knob-and-tube' wiring. We were given professional advice on how our breaker panel could be updated with 'NOT' having to rewire our entire home. What a relief! Everything was easily understandable as the entire process was explained clearly and concise. There was no future date offered for KMA's service, their electrician offered to do it right there, right now. Wow! Needless to say that we are quite happy with KMA and our updated breakers. We had pretty bad storm damage and our main power got ripped down which pulled the power lines out of the back of the house. We called kma electric they came out I looked over everything with us and let us speak and explain what we needed and show them the damage they were not pushy or try to force anything on us ... they explained how it should be fixed / repaired in detail with us and within a couple days they were back and fixed everything.... super easy to work with very very accommodating and their attention to detail is second to none they used top quality products on our electrical rebuild. There crew was very friendly and paid attention to detail on everything they did.... My father (over 80) called KMA and explained the problem they had. They said it would cost $250 to fix. They came out to the house and it turned out it was something simple and it was fixed in LESS THAN 5 MINUTES without requiring any results. THEY STILL CHARGED HIM THE $250!!!!!! The main breaker on our electric panel went out. KMA Electric responded in just a few hours. Dillon Randall, the technician made sure that we had electricity for heat. Our electric panels were so old that they don't make them or the parts anymore. Dillon gave us a few quotes for the replacement of the panels. We thought that the quoted prices were reasonable. We set up a day for the replacement. Dillon arrived on time and the project was completed on time to our complete satisfaction.

Horrible company! Had them come out for a small issue and they tried to tell me I needed 6k worth of fixes. I called another electrican for a second opinion and I was told that the information I was given by KMA was inaccurate and that I in fact did not need a new panel box. They also fixed the other issues I had within a few minutes, because KMA could not fix them. KMA is not a good company.Replying to your response:I am in fact a real customer, but did not want to post my name for privacy reasons.Long story short the guy who came out to my house was not even capable of fixing a GFI plug and also told me I needed a new panel box. I told him I had just bought my house and my spouse had just died. Long story short my guess is not only was he trying to take advantage of me, but he also did not know what he was doing. The GFI plug was in upside down, per the second electrician I had come out.I did not wish to call the company because i was upset. Also, would like to point put it took you 5 months to respond.

I called many HVAC companies in the Columbus, Ohio area and none of them responded with such haste, knowledge, and professionalism as this company. With an added bonus of the least expensive initial trip charge. The technician that assisted me was Dustin Elliott. He was phenomenal. He called me shortly after I got off the phone with the individual that received my first call (very polite interaction). Then Dustin preceded to assist me over the phone, which was wonderful because the house was at 81 degrees in July. We tried multiple solutions to my problem and Dustin knew what to do next after the first few attempts did not correct the issue. This interaction with this company has led me to putting both the companies and Dustin’s phone number on my furnace for future reference and less hassle.Update 8/2019About a month after my first interaction with KMA, my AC went down (no fault of KMA’s). My first and only call was to KMA to schedule an appointment. A technician came out within 24 hours. Ken was able to diagnose and fix my air conditioner in about an hour. Then took the time to make sure it ran at its optimal capacity. This is my second 5 star review of this company and they will continue to be my first call.

I had an appointment to get my ac fixed at 4:30. A person from the office at KMA called me to let me know Jacob was running a bit early and asked if it was ok for him to head over. That worked well for me so we went with that. Jacob showed up right at 4:00 and got right to work. He quickly and efficiently fixed my first ac unit. He then diagnosed my second ac unit and came up with a game plan for repair. Jacob was professional and courteous and I will call KMA in the future if I have any other HVAC problems and ask for them to send Jacob again. Very impressed!

Every person that I have worked with at KMA has been knowledgeable, respectful and top notch. I scheduled a maintence appointment for our mini-split units they installed. With heat waves coming, wanted to make sure they were in good working order so the house would stay cool and technicians wouldn't have to work in brutal heat for a repair. Mitch Grove was our Technician and took the time to show me different features so we could get the best performance of our units. He also showed me how to maintain a free standing unit. I called KMA, because my heat pump sounded like a jet plane ready to take off. Ashley answered and was very nice and got me an appointment the same day. The dispatcher Christina called and kept me informed throughout the day as to when my technician would arrive to help me.Anthony and Josh arrived and immediately put on their shoe covers which I really appreciated since I just had new carpeting put in. He asked me to show him to my equipment and went right to work. He let me know my 17 year old heat pump needed to be replaced. They came the next morning to replace my furnace and heat pump and performed a duct cleaning.The install team of Jacob, Justin, Sean and Troy arrived and did a phenomenal job. They explained how to use the new thermostat that was included, and left my house as they found it. I truly appreciate how kind KMA's employees treated me. I would recommend KMA Electric and Heating & cooling to all my friends and family.

Got an estimate to install a ceiling fan. They want $245 dollars per ceiling fan. Bracket and box is already in the ceiling. Had another estimate from another electric company. It was $145 dollars CHEAPER, per fan. KMA is should be ashamed of themselves for ripping folks off like that.

I had work done by KMA several months ago. Decided to call them for more work due to the satisfactory job done by their technician. OMG. When I first called, I got their answering service who stated that someone would call me back. After several hours with no call, I decided to call them. The phone rang at least 30 times (no kidding), and I immediately called back and after a few rings a woman answered, laughing like she was at a party. I asked her if everything was OK because I had just called and the phone just rang. She started making excuses and was interrupting me when I showed concern about talking with her. I asked to speak with the owner/supv and was told they were not available. Not sure how the owners feel about losing a customer because now I will need to go through the company whom they have a contract with and request that KMA not do the work based on their customer service personnel not being professional.

Do not use KMA. I had them come out due to a strange issue I was experiencing with my electrical. The technician checked one outlet and straight up told me that he couldn't diagnose the problem. He then suggested that I get a new breaker panel which from them would cost me upwards of $4k. I had another company come out, they took the time to check all outlets and found that it was a very small fix needed, only cost about $200 to get fixed.KMA will rip you off and try to scare, hoping that you'll jump in their pocket.

Called on a Saturday night and said they would be out on Monday, had a electrical problem. I called about 1:30 pm Monday and said they had a technical issues with calls received over the weekend. The lady said she would try to get someone out, would call me at 3 pm to let me know. Of course she never called me. That place sucks, don't know how to treat new customers. The lady totally lied to me. Going to the BBB and complaining there also.

I arranged an appointment with KMA for an estimate for a new electrical service panel. They sent a sales person in a service truck who pretended to be a technician. They quoted over $5,300 for a job that should be half of the quote. Buyer beware.

I had KMA come out to my new home for a couple of jobs. I had their HVAC guy come to install a Nest smart thermostat for my AC and boiler system and he said it could not be done. I also had their electrician come out to install a ceiling fan, install, not purchase a fan and install and they quoted me $625! I told them that I thought this was a ridiculous price and had it installed for $50 by a local guy and it works great! I would never recommend this company to anybody, they will rip you off.

It was truly a pleasure having Mathew Piemonte fix our electric issues. He was nothing short of a the epitome of professionalism. He was kind and extremely knowledgeable. He also wore all the appropriate covid protective material which I appreciated due to having a pregnant wife in the house working from home. Dillon went above and beyond to complete the work. First, he worked to keep the price down looking for alternatives to installing an entirely new sub panel, then when installing the outlet found an issue with my electrical panel and fixed it without an additional charge. Finally, I had him check an outlet that wasn't working properly and planned to have him come back and fix it. He installed a new outlet and still didn't add an additional charge for that either. Was prompt, prepared, courteous and knowledgeable. Great job Dillon!! I will recommend him to friends/neighbors.

Took over four visits to fix a light. They were suppose to come out one day and never showed, we had to call them and they said they would be out the next day and were late. Technician Jonathan did not seem to want to do the work. Showed up had to get parts left came back, sat in truck for almost an hour, never fixed it. said he would come back but had an important job the next day so we would have to wait over the weekend until the following week. Again did not show up and had to call to get them out. Do not trust what they say horrible follow through, i still need to call someone else to fix my light after paying $250.00

Joke of a company. Keeps changing their name and location to avoid the bad reviews. They will run out of electricians soon as know one will work for them wanna know the truth? Call any supply house like loeb or city electric and ask th what the electricians that work for kelly say about him. They are scam artists that find anyway to get to your electric panel so they can tell you its a fire hazard and use high pressure to push you onto a $5000 repair. Please please please get a second and third opinion before using these scam artist.

I called KMA to inspect the wiring of an electric furnace. Their opinion was that the bus bar was in my breaker box was damaged beyond repair, and that a new breaker box was needed and quoted me a parts and labor price in excess of $3200.Other electricians in the area informed me that parts and labor for a breaker box replacement are typically $1100 to $1300, if even necessary, and upon inspection of the breaker box, determined that there was no damage to the bus bar at all.My wife felt like she was being doubletalked by KMA's electricians. I believe that a good tradesman should be able to easily explain the technical portions of what needs to be done in terms understandable by someone who is not a trained expert. It is my opinion that KMA's electricians were inadequate at doing so.
