Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Our floor drain was backing up and a vertical drain was not flowing into the main drain. I was impressed that service could be scheduled for the same day! When it was getting close to the end of the 4-hour frame we were quoted, I received a call letting us know that the tech was not yet available, but one would be assigned as soon as possible. Just a few minutes before the end of the time frame we received a call that a tech was on his way.When in minutes after arriving Andy accessed the problem and provided us with possible solutions and a quote. I was highly impressed that he had on shoe covers before entering and was genuinely considerate of not creating a mess while he worked. Our technician Jerry was great, he was able to unclog the drain and also fix another issue that came up. Great experience, but was pretty expensive - just for a shower faucet cartridge repair. Technician was very friendly, on time, and was very knowledgeable. It was nice to have next day service. I was notified a half hour before technician arrived and he showed up right on time. Great service. If it wasn't for the price, I would give them 5 stars.

I was a bit disappointed when I set up an appointment and there wasn’t a technician available anyway near the time frame. My appointment window was 4pm to 6pm, and when I got a call at 730pm, I was going to cancel but rescheduled for today. The technician, Manwar, arrived well within the timeframe and completed the work quickly. He explained everything thoroughly and helped turn what started out as a negative experience into a positive one.

Over all service was excellent from, scheduling an appointment online to confirmation with customer service. Tech was running a little late from the scheduled time, but we were given a 30 minute warning that he was on his way.Tech did great work, and put the piping under the sink back BETTER, than it was before. Tech was professional and I enjoyed chatting with him as he completed his work. If you get Mike, count yourself lucky. Professional, friendly and knows what he is doing.The pricing is a little miss leading as most drain cleaning places offer $80-95 drain cleaning coupon, but that is the coupon, so if you expect your drains cleaned for $100, that is really not a realistic price. Our's came in just over $300, which for the time and equipment is not really a bad price for the work.If you have a clogged drain, I would highly recommend Roto-Rooter and I would use them again. (But I will NOT be putting any more rice down our disposal again.)

Our sump pump appeared to not be working and our basement started taking on water. Tyler was very professional and knowledgeable and quickly assessed the situation and was able to get a new sump pump installed in no time. Maurice was knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. Unclogged my sink drain, cleaned up the mess, and was careful bringing equipment into the house, making sure not to scratch up the floors. Appreciated the additional protocols in place for COVID-19. Was truthful with the price quote he originally gave me, and even honored a coupon I found on the website. On a Sunday when every plumber is either unavailable or not answering, I called Roto Rooter to report a septic line backup into the house. They were out in 2 hrs and stayed til 10:00 that night, cleaning the drain lines, mitigating the mess and tearing out all areas infected with mold and water damage. For the next 3 days, the damage was gone and ready for repair. These guys know what they are doing. The underground clogged line was repaired with no digging, remotely using cameras and pipe sealers. I experienced water damage from a source that was very difficult to find. David, the technician was very understanding and listened to what my thoughts were as far as the cause. He explained what he was going to do to try to determine the issue and took great care to make sure I understood what and why. The issue was resolved in a relatively short amount of time. I asked about the process of getting someone in to assist in the restoration process and before David left Ryan Harrison was at my door and assisted me with details of the process and with filing my claim. Even though this was a stressful time I felt I was in good hands. I would definitely use the services of roto-rooter for my plumbing needs in the future.

My Roto-Rooter plumber mike came out yesterday and did everything possible he could do to make sure I was satisfied with his service. He spent hours trying to snake my main drain and didn’t give up until the problem was fixed. He was polite and very tidy and neat. He also kept great communication about his findings and what he was doing throughout the whole process and his time here. If I could mike 10 stars I would. Our main sewer drain was backing up into our basement. I called on Sunday morning and Josh (4619) arrived a few hours later. He did a fantastic job clearing the massive amount of roots from the drain. He was professional, had a great sense of humor and was very informative before and after the whole process. I had called a few other businesses before Roto-Rooter but they couldn't come out until later on in the week. You will be my first call for now on!

Luke and Bailey came out and Luke cleared my basement drain out and Bailey sent the camera down to inspect that all was clear. They were both very personable and made me feel at ease about the problem. I feel so confident now that this problem should not be an issue any longer!

I called Roto-Rooter when our sewage system backed up. They came out the same day just a few hours after I called. The technician, Andy, was very helpful and informative. He took his time to make sure that the issue was completely taken care of and that we also understood what was going on. I had unexpected Sewage coming up from an abandoned downspout hole that someone years ago attempted to repair with a concrete patch. It was a mess I was experiencing so much anxiety. I called Roto Rooter out to get an estimate for my insurance but I couldn't explain the situation well enough so Ben came back out and scoped the line and wrote up an estimate. State Farm my insurance company did not add the line coverage so I ended up working with Ben to resolve my anxiety and he was so professional and so understanding he went above and beyond to take care of everything I had to have another drain unclothed today and he sent out Jonathan, and again above and beyond. This service was initially an emergency and this company was A+ 100% effective the entire time. Chris was my tech that came out and serviced my clogged drain. He got right to work and after 3 tries getting the snake down our pipes and drain he was able to pull out what was the cause of our drain backing up when I would wash. He also gave us some tips on what to do to help prevent the issue from happening again due to the type of pipes we have. He was very professional and made sure to clean up after he was done!

This is the first time my fiancé and I have used Rotor-Rooter and we enjoyed our experience. The employee was very professional and made the process of fixing our clogged pipes as painless as possible Chase educated us on how to better take care of our pipes and was very friendly through out the appointment. We hope that if we have a problem in the future, he will be available to be our technician.

Called because my toddler flushed Clorox Wipes down the toilet and backed up all the plumbing in the house. My husband fixed the clog but we just wanted the reassurance that it was actually cleared. We had RR come out with their camera to inspect. There was a little issue with scheduling- we didn’t actually talk to anyone from dispatch to find out when they would arrive. However, it all worked out and the plumber arrived within 3 hours. He was professional and friendly. He quickly verified everything was cleared and we were all set.

A great experience. The sink drain in our kitchen was blocked. I tried to clear it myself, even buying a tool from home depot. Eric G (2389) came out within an hour of me calling and quickly got to work. He had the specialist tools to tackle the blockage. Very clean job.

Our technician Mike was so courteous, nice, and most importantly, very professional. We had a few drains clogged up and they were at my house on a Saturday within an hour of calling. Once he got here, there were some more issues that came up and Mike let us know our options and prices before he did anything. He got to work right away and did his thing. Bobby did a great job & made sure we had the best quality fix possible so that we received the best servicing & long lasting quality work that could be done. I have to say the price was high but that is to be expected anytime you have plumbing work done by any plumbing service but in our case the work done was quality work which we haven't always had in the past.

The first plumber did a far job. The Chris Smith who operated the camera came out and indicated that there was still a problem. He called in the next plumber, Matt Jones did a great job. He brought in the large auger and spent over 3.5 hours trying to get thru the clog was not sure if he was successful or not.. Chris smith came back with his camera and indicated there was still a problem that looked like beyond my property. With his report I called the sewer district. they showed up 2 days later and used their own cameras and indicated that there was alot of debris in the sewer. they cleared the debris.i am very impressed with both Matt Jones and Chris Smith as they both worked hard to help me find a solution to my problem

Scott Mooney was the technician that removed/installed my water heaters. He was courteous and he patiently answered all of my questions. I felt confident that he really knew what he was doing.I'm very pleased with the work that was performed by Mr. Mooney and would definitely request that he be sent for any future plumbing needs.

Roto-rooter got the job done. We had a bad clog I'm our basement and within 30 minutes David (Tech #2380) had it completely cleared and working again! He also got us hooked up with a product to help keep it clean for years to come. Can't thank them enough for their excellent service. This company took advantage of a single mom on 3/14/2022. A technician was sent to a single mom's home in Eastern Cincinnati. The very large plumber used intimidation tactics to write 200 dollars on the estimate and add an additional 350 dollars for the work that took less than one hour-- total of $550.00 for the repair of two clogged drains. I got involved and called for a manager. No luck. I called for an entire day and was able to reach someone who told me that Roto Rooter charges a flat fee of 400 dollars per drain...and the plumber was kind for offering a discount. Ridiculous, predatory tactics. Buyer beware.

Matt came to our home to help us with a difficult problem. It was hard to locate but he had persistence. He came back again and diagnosed the problem which led to our having the main valve cleaned out and the broken pipe under the shower floor fixed. We are grateful to him for sticking with us. He was professional, kind and he understood we had to do something to fix our serious problem. Thanks, Matt!

Great communication from dispatcher. Call me on update on technician arrival status. Technician was friendly and professional. Problem with my sewer clog quickly resolved. I have used this company before and I was pleased with them each time.

Tom provided excellent service. He had come out to work on a ice maker line for me that i had tried to self install and had issues with and he fixed that very quickly, but when i turned water back out there was no water coming in the house at all.Tom diagnosed the issue quickly and replaced the water pressure valve that had failed. He explained each step as he was going along what he was doing, extremely knowledgeable and a great example of how to give great service.

I had a water softener that was leaking. I called Roto-Rooter to reroute the plumbing so that it would not hook into the water softener any more. The technician was a nice guy and he didn't take long. From what I could tell the work was good. The only question I had was around the price. He didn't really explain the quote he gave me. He just said he could do it for $300. I wish he would have gone into more detail on how he came up with that number.

Brian did an awesome job clearing my drain! He came to my home late at night in an emergency situation and immediately put me at ease. He gave my dog treats and loving and was in and out quickly. I had to wait a while for him to get there (I called very last minute) and he did everything he could to make up for it. I had found a $40.00 coupon online, but he found a better one for me. He also gave me a bottle of pipe shield to keep my drains clear and smelling fresh. What a great guy!!!

Called Roto Rooter for an estimate for the replacement of the pipes for our downspouts. The field representative was very effective in analyzing the issue, provided documentation and sent an estimate for the costs relating to the repair. The rep followed up to insure an estimate had been received. I had advised the rep that I was seeking additional estimates. Unfortunately, Roto Rooter wasn't plumber of choice but I did appreciate the services provided.

My basement was flooded from the floor drain. It was about 7:30 PM when we called Roto Rooter thinking we would get a answering service. To our surprise it was not a answering service but Roto Rooter. The person that took the call was very helpful, and answered all our questions, and quickly put in a service ticket. They stated that someone would be out that night and that there is not a emergency fee as it was not after hours they are 24/7. We were told it would be between 7:30 and 11:30m PM that someone would be out. We had a phone call at 8:23 PM stating a technician would be out in about 30 to 45 minutes, 15 minutes later we had a technician pull up. The technician was very professional and explained the steps and they actions he was taking as he went along. Very friendly and like I said professional and knowledgeable. He had to snake the main branch line and even had us do multiple steps of running water and flushing toilets from different rooms to ensure it was cleared. Very pleased with the service and work they provided and will definitely use them again if needed. High recommended! Thanks Roto Rooter.

*EDIT*I am editing my review because we finally had someone come out today and completely fixed our problem. We had about 6 soft clogs caused from toilet paper attaching to some roots and rusted pipes. He did an amazing job and took his time making sure the pipes were completely clear!! I think the confusion happened when the first guy with a camera came out and only checked by the sidewalk and not the rest of the pipes. But now that it is finally fixed, I am very grateful and satisfied with my experience with roto rooter even though it took a little longer than expected. We will continue to use them in the future if any more problems arise!We first made a call to roto rooter after a few days of our main drain being completely backed up on Saturday, December 28th. Shawn came to our home and was here for a few hours doing everything he could to help us figure out what was going on. He went through the toilet and the clean out outside but was unable to identify the issue, but set us up with someone to come out with a camera the next day on Sunday. Over all I was very happy with Shawn as he seemed to really care in helping us figure out the issue but there was only so much he could do when he didn't have a camera. The next day, Sunday the 29th we got a call saying they didn't have access to a camera right now and we had to wait until Monday. So then Monday came, someone (can't remember his name) came out and ran a camera through the front clean out and was only here for about 10-20 minutes total. He said the problem was root blockage by the sidewalk and that is may be the cities problem, gave us a quote for 4,000 dollars if it ended up being our issue and told us to call back once the city checked it out. Well the city came out, and said that the water isn't even reaching the sidewalk, and that there aren't any roots blocking the pipe so that the blockage is somewhere within our pipes. We called roto rooter back about possibly augering the roof drain and let them know what the city had said about the blockage by the sidewalk, and to our surprise we were told they don't mess with roof drains, but my husband personally talked to the guy again that came out with the camera and he told us he would call us back and come out again to help us figure out what is actually the issue. But that was 2 days ago and we haven't heard back from anyone from roto rooter and our drains are so backed up we are unable to use any form of plumbing in our home. We have 3 children and this has been going on for over a week so it was just very upsetting to not be able to find out what's going on as this is a true emergency and many people referred us to roto rooter. I am disappointed that this seems to be a problem that cannot be fixed and it's been hard to get anyone to call us back. The only positive experience we had was with Shawn because even though he couldn't find the problem, he tried everything he possibly could and was very caring towards our situation. But the rest of the experience has been less than satisfying and extremely frustrating. I was really hoping the issue would of been resolved with roto rooter as they seem to be the best of the best. At this point we will probably just have to move because our house is becoming unlivable with this plumbing issue and we are unable to find a plumber that can fix or even diagnose the problem.

Was well pleased with the service. Marwan explained all options to correct the problem. He and the trainee (Jonathan) were both very personable. After I called for service, they were at my house within a couple hours. Also, the gentleman who took my call was very helpful and courteous.

Roto Rooter had come out Tuesday to auger and camera the sewer drain pipe. We had tree roots in our sewer pipe 60 foot from the house washout. They came back Thursday to fix the problem with a team to pressure blast the roots out of the pipe and patch the pipe. The patch was a difficult one since the roots were growing in a 4 to 6 inch transition joint, but Roto Rooter got the job done. Quick, honest, quality service. Would definitely recommend.

The plumber was friendly and skilled. He solved my problem in 15 minutes and was helpful in explaining what caused my problem and how to prevent it from happening again. I am pleased with the service I received.

Over the holiday weekend, the main drain of our house was clogged disabling the ability to use water in the house without waste water flooding in the basement. Roto-Rooter not only was able to send a technician within the same day (a Sunday), but they did not charge any after hours fees for it being during a holiday weekend (as some places do charge extra). The technician (1795) was very polite and patiently explained everything he observed as well as possible plans of action to alleviate the issue. Pricing for services was fully explained and permission was requested before taking any further action. It took some time to get through the line, but he was eventually successful at clearing the main line leaving the house. He took the time to clean up around both drains in the basement level as well as cleaning up after himself. That was awesome! All systems are currently still a go! Thank you, Roto-Rooter!

I previously left a review talking about how happy I was, I should have waited until the job was done. Your plumbers came out and not only did they not fix the problem, they caused more damage and then told me they could not fix it and left me with sewage leaking into my crawl space. The area that was fixed was not properly done so with the correct downfall and I would have continued to have problems. Was this done so I would have to keep calling and have more work done? I had to have another company come out and fix what they broke and fix what they did fix all while still being left with a $9,000+ bill from you. I could not believe the pictures that were sent to me, and the issues I could have had with no idea of why. This company absolutely took advantage of me and the panic I was in, this was a lesson to always get a second opinion. In the words of the plumber that actually fixed the issues You should be ashamed of yourselves

Service technician was very helpful in solving our problem which turned out to be less of a problem than what I thought it was. Even though the garbage disposal was not part of the service call I was offered the service when he saw I had a new disposal. That saved me a lot of time and worry.

I contacted Roto-Rooter in the morning for services and they provided service the same day. I experienced a pipe link in the ceiling of my basement and Bill arrived and assessed the situation. Bill provided top notched professional service, completed the pipe repair in a very timely manner, and did not leave a mess behind. I found my plumber for any further services. They charged me $7k to replace a small section of a pipe in the basement, which I paid. The work done ended up being much less than what they estimated and charged me - so I asked for a detailed invoice of the labor, material, equipment, and permit costs. The project manager (I believe his name is Brad) has never returned a single phone call to provide this. What's more is that a person in the front office (Crystal) has repeatedly told me they don't provide itemized details of their services. All I am asking for is a fair explanation of what work was done, and what work I paid for. I would advise everybody to stay away from this business at all costs. Even in a true emergency (as was my situation), please call around to a few other places as there are plenty of businesses who will not rip you off so shamelessly.

The gentleman was really nice and professional. The best part is there was nothing he could do to fix the hot water heater the evening he was here, so he didn't charge me any fee at all! Not even a fee for coming out to tell me what was wrong with my water heater! That was awesome of him! Another place I called wanted $89.00 just to come out and see if they could put in a new water heater? So yeah, it's a good reliable company and I will definitely call them back if I have any more issues.

I live in West Chester, Ohio and we were having an issue with our drain in our kitchen sink. The garbage disposal was not clogged, but the water would not drain. I went to our neighborhood Facebook page and asked for recommendations on a good plumbing service. Roto Rooter was recommended by several people in the neighborhood, so I gave them a call. This happened on a Sunday evening, and they were able to come out first thing Monday morning. Service tech was friendly, professional and efficient. Price was reasonable for kitchen drain cleaning. All fixed and working perfectly again. Saw internet reviews that made me doubt how things would go. They were misleading. Turned out they did a great job and I would use them again.

Flooded basement, they were at my house within 2 hours after I called, assessed and contacted my insurance company for me, plumber came, replaced my broken sump pump and flooding receded, now company will begin drying out and checking walls for water damage, including mold. Service was promised in a 2 hour window on the phone and through an E-mail. When I called to see where they were. I was told service is in a 4 hour window. I called when they didn't meet the 4 hour window. Rotor-Rooter plumber finally arrived after almost 5 hours. The only saving grace was than the plumber (Leslie) did an excellent job. The stars are for Leslie.

The company was responsive to the request for service and had someone on site within 3 hours. The drain work was completed within a few hours and a damage assessment specialist arrived during the service call to get the restoration service started. The drain technician reviewed his findings and gave us advice to prevent rodents from entering the drain. He left behind his drop cloth and booties in the access room and used our drain cog from our garage clean out to reseal the main pipe without replacing it. He dropped the filter for the garage clean out into the garage clean out but assured us it won't be a problem. All in all a good service call but not great.

Excellent experience! Our service techs were Mike Z. and Eric G.. We couldn't have asked for a better crew. They showed up exactly when they were supposed to. Both men were friendly and greeted us in a very professional manner. They were able to clear the clog we had in our drain and found a potential problem we may have with the line itself. Andrew (3312) was the most amazing technician. Our basement backed up with sewage and he came right out. He stayed until he was positive everything was fix and all clogs were gone... then he cleaned up the basement mess. I never asked nor would I expect anyone to do that but he jumped right in to make it easier for us. He is fantastic and if you have the unfortunate need to have roto rooter come out, please request Andrew.

I called Roto Rooter after my sewer drain backed up after heavy rain. Mitch & Ben came the next day and were extremely professional & helpful. They walked me through every step, made sure to keep me informed, and set up a new plan after finding a major blockage that couldn’t be reached. They even went so far as to call my home warranty rep to try and get their services approved. I am SO thankful for them & their help! Would recommend for any problem you are having! Great guys.

The floor drain in my basement was backing up water. I called Roto Rooter on Friday night at 9pm. They offered me a very quick appointment on same night but I chose Saturday morning. The team arrived at 9am and finished the job in 1 hour. They were very professional, punctual and knew what they were supposed to do. They used a cabled rotating device to clean the sewer pipe. The service fee was $287 and came with 6 months warranty.

The technician Mike was very professional and fixed the clog issue without any problem. my only concern was the fact that i was called at 8:00 am and told the technician was on his way. however, he did not get to the property until 9:15 am. i would suggest a bit more accuracy as to the expected arrival time. this is the 2nd time i have used the Roto-Rooter service and both times they have corrected my plumbing issue. the service is a bit expensive as Mike was only there for approx 20 minutes to fix the clog and the charge was $166. i do like their ability to come to the property the very next day after i called. for a common plumbing problem give them a call!

Absolutely terrible experience, and will never use Roto-Rooter again. I had a clogged drain and a leaky faucet, which should have been an easy job. The tech actually made things worse, leaving me with an in-operable faucet, and I was told I should probably get a new faucet.Eventually (after changed appointments, no calls, etc.), a new tech did some out to fix it, but first attempted to charge me for it. Luckily, I called their customer service line before work was done, and it was done for free. However, in my mind it was too little, too late.Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed with the way this issue was handled, and how I was treated by Roto-Rooter. The fact that such a well-regarded and well established company could be so disorganized, unprofessional, and ineffective is beyond me. The only two people I interacted with that provided a real service to me, and treated me with respect and professionalism were Seth, the second plumber, and Kim, the customer service rep. They should be commended, and should be the standard you hold the rest of your company to.Overall, I still feel taken advantage of, and completely disrespected at every turn. I will never use your services again, and will make every effort to steer every person I know away from you. There are many other options for the services you provide, and I will never again be duped by promises of quick service and professionalism.STAY AWAY.

Very fast response - within an hour and a half someone was on site. Excellent in detecting hard to find leaks.

Our kitchen drain line was clogged and even after renting a drain auger, I could not clear the drain. I called Roto Rooter on Thursday and they sent someone out but he could not clear the drain, either. He did not charge me anything since he could not clear the drain. He had the dispatcher call me to reschedule another technician with more experience and sent Tyler, #2092, who came with a larger diameter cable. Tyler patiently attacked the clog in the drain with the pipe auger and explained what he was doing the entire time. Tyler was polite, friendly, professional, and one determined young man! Kudos to Tyler for clearing our drain and congratulations to Roto Rooter for hiring such a high caliber employee.

The Roto-Rooter Tech’s name was Darren Shute. Very professional, courteous, and is a top rate plumber! He quickly installed shut off valves to plumbing against an exterior wall. It will prevent my pipes from freezing next time!

Tyler was my tech, I had 5 different companies come to my residence prior with no resolve extremely horrible experience. Roto Rooter you guys rock, a pleasure to have your tech out to my home, very detail, professional and explained my problem. I'm a business owner of 35 years with lots of experience with employees, you are so lucky to have such a valuable employee. I will be certain to contact you folks for any additional Plumbing issues that may arise and I will definitely refer you to my friends and family again you guys rock.

I had sump pump problems and more storms in the forecast. I contacted RotoRooter. The technician Tom arrived later in the day. He checked my system and was able to get it in running condition. He did a good job, reworking the drain pipes and getting the pump assembled correctly.

(4/6/2016) I originally rated Roto-Rooter's service 1 star, but am updating my review based on how quickly and completely Roto-Rooter responded to my complaint. Less than 24 hours after I posted my complaint, I received a call from them asking to talk about my experience. After I was able to prove that I hired another plumber to do the job that their plumber didn't do correctly, they refunded the full amount of my original service charge. While I wasn't happy with the original service that I received, I was very happy with how they handled themselves after the fact and believe that my experience was not typical. Please keep that in mind when reading my original review.----------(4/1/2016) I called Roto-rooter to unclog an outdoor drain in front of my house. The drain would back up every time we got a strong rain. The service was performed on 2/25/2016. The person who came to my house had no idea how to replicate or fix the problem.He charged me $324 to run a cable (snake) through the drain to try to clear any blockage. Since he wasn't able to replicate the problem, he couldn't tell me whether or not he fixed it. He did, however, offer to charge me another $100 to send a camera down the line to see if anything was still blocking it.I thought he had fixed the problem until I walked around the back of my house a couple of weeks later. There, I saw that he had blown out an elbow joint in the drain pipe and that the drain was emptying into my back yard.I had another plumber (Zin's Plumbing) fix the elbow joint. After it was fixed, I found that the drain was still backing up just like it did before.I called Zin's again and they came out today and did the following:- Replicated the original issue- Removed the blockage- Fixed another problem that I didn't know about that could have contributed to the original issue- Gave me recommendations for how to care for the drain so that this problem doesn't happen again- Charged me $150 less than Roto-rooter.

The good: First, I will say that the actual fix was what we needed and we appreciate having a 6 month warranty on the work. Scheduling was easy and our service person was on time and friendly.***UPDATE: Roto-Rooter immediately called me regarding the negative review posted below. They assured me that this is against their policy and that they would be addressing it with the staff member and offered a partial refund on my service. Excellent customer service and responsiveness - I am editing my rating as a result!The bad: The person who came out to work on our flooding problem came into the house, followed me downstairs, stepped directly into the flooded area (in a utility room in our finished basement), and without any recognition that his dirty shoes were now also covered in sewer water, stepped back out onto our clean, dry carpet leaving footprints. There was absolutely no effort made to tracking dirt in and out of our house as he tracked in and out of the puddled area and through the house with equipment. I was left with a clean drain, but dirty, wet footprints on my carpet and all through my wood floor. I brought towels downstairs but he made no effort to use them to minimize the mess. I found it discourteous and frustrating. I've had other plumbers who leave the place looking better than when they arrived, and I was left with a mess to clean up.

There was some confusion getting a technician to arrive at my home. However, when the technician arrived, the service was very good. He was professional and knowledgeable and described the drain condition from his perspective of the cable behavior during the clean out.

Pipe froze and busted in my house and Roto Rooter came right out and fixed it immediately. I wish I could remember the gentlemen name but he was very personable and professional. He came in and within 45 minutes we had water again. He also got a hold of another guy to come out and get the dry out process started. Up to this point we have had a great experience with everyone we have come into contact with at roto rooter and i would recommend them highly.

Brian was wonderful! I called on a Sunday thinking that I would be charged more or the wait would be huge. Neither was true. Brian was here in less than an hour. Even though there was a complication with cleaning out the drain, he approached it very professionally, confidently and courteously. All was good in less than an hour. I've used R-R before and will happily do so again.

Mack #1157 solved our problem and did a great job!. He even came earlier than scheduled. They did call first and asked if he could come earlier. Of course we said yes. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and polite. We had a clogged kitchen sink drain. He ran a snake all the way through the pipes. He solved our problem in less than an hour. We will definitely use Roto-Rooter services again.

I've been using Roto Rooter for more than 10 years now and have always been happy with their speedy, courteous, professional, and otherwise awesome service. The last technician to arrive at my home just today was Jordan (1964). He got my sewer line cleaned and back into tip top shape in no time at all. So happy! Would definitely recommend to others!

On 01-28-2019 at around 1630 hours I had a major plumbing issue that cut off all water to my house. This was the result of a secondary water cutoff valve that malfunctioned. Due to having a new baby, the temperatures outside hovering around zero degrees, and trying to get any service after hours this was not ideal. I contacted Roto-Rooter after finding them on a Google search. Within an hour of first contact, a technician named Brandon had responded to my residence and fixed the issue. Brandon was very professional. He had a neat and clean appearance along with an approachable attitude. I was blown away by the overall experience. Roto-Rooter is a great company that apparently employs members of The Avengers when they are not battling crime. I would use them again and would definitely recommend them!

I had an appointment on a Monday at 4:30PM. After getting no notice of arrival I had to call back 5 or 6 times before finally reaching someone at 8PM to then be rescheduled for the following morning. During the work on a drain in my garage, the machine they used blew out my power source. I no longer have working outlets in my garage and they will not return my calls. I will not be using again.

Andrew (3312) did an excellent job repairing the leaks and was courteous and informative all the way through. He did a thorough inspection of the problems and explained the cause and how he intended on fixing them. He even threw in some nice advice on quick do-it-yourself flooring fixes.The entire process was quick and simple.

The process was very smooth from beginning to end. The dispatcher called to alert me that the technician would arrive in a half hour. When he came, the technician put covers over his shoes so as not to dirty our floors. We had two clogged drain situations -- a second floor toilet and the basement standing sinks. After he reviewed the problems, the technician told us how much the cost would be. He also gave us a discount. Then he used augurs, first on the toilet and then on the basement sink and drains. Throughout he was very professional and courteous. His uniform was neat and clean. We checked his work, paid him, and thanked him. All in all, a very satisfactory experience.

I called they didn't show up when they told me rescheduled for next day. Guy came out and unloaded his auger then sat in his van for quite a while till I checked to make sure he was still around. He worked for maybe 45 min when an older senior guy came out who was supposed to use a camera. Told me they needed to dig up part of one of my access ports to unclog it gave me a quote for 4800 dollars left without clearing it and charged me 475 dollars and I noticed later they l damaged my main access port threads which means the whole section will need replacement soon. I called Feichtner Plumbing LLC who came out the next day they charged me the same rate and they cleared it and unclogged my basement sink as well. So as far as I can tell rotorooter cost me damage and money. I'll never call them again.

Russell came late the Saturday before Easter. He was patient and resolved our problem same day. Slightly expensive, but i was hosting Easter the next day and was willing to rectify the problem. Russell was extremely knowledgeable. He explained what led to the problem and was able to fix it!!

The work was done in a friendly and efficient manner. My only issue ever with Roto-rooter is that sometimes I have to wait longer than promised for the plumber to show up. They sometimes get stuck on other jobs and their arrival is delayed. I never have an issue with the quality of their services and work, however.

After calling Roto-Rooter, the response time was great. A technician names David Denton came over immediately. He assessed the problem and worked on it till it was satisfactory. He did a great job and was very knowledgeable and pleasant.

David was professional, explained everything, and had all the parts needed for my job.He was very pleasant, and did not mind my watching him, and explained what he was doing.He cleaned everything up.He gave me discounts, and accepted my flyer coupon.I would definitely call him again.

Steve, #1188, was at my house promptly. He was very nice and looked at my issues. He explained what needed to be done and gave me an estimate. He turned off my water for just a few minutes, completed the task and had my water back on in no time. He brought me the part he replaced and my total was actually a little less than the estimate. He gave me some price and idea options on 2 other projects I had before leaving. I was so impressed!! Ryan, a supervisor came by while he was here to make sure I was happy with the progress which I also appreciated. In need of a standoff drain installed for a washing machine, we called around and were told by most places that they were scheduling two weeks out. And that was for the estimate! Roto-rooter had someone there later that today. And not just any someone - Kevin was knowledgeable, competent, and thorough, an overall pleasure to work with! Our washing machine is now happily chugging away.

Clogged sewer drains no more! Not after this great visit! The technician freed up 4 storm drains that are now working like a charm. Mark was instructive, happy to explain the process and tools used, was personable despite having to tolerate mud and pools of water. Was not cheap, but few really good services are cheap. Most important, the drains are flowing again. Let the rains and winter snows come, the house is now prepared. Thank you Roto Rooter!!

I called Roto-Rooter Plumbers of Cincinnati on 12/27/13. Greg wanted to make a same day appointment for me for a sewer cleanout. I couldn't make it until the next day so they came out on 12/28/13. Dave called ahead and showed up right on time. Service was quick and good. They cleaned up and locked up for me. Fantastic experience and I will definitely use them again.

Matt (#2719) showed up right on time! I had a very clogged main drain and he explained the options before doing any work to make sure I understood what was happening. He was there for a few hours making sure he covered all his bases in solving my issue. He was able to successfully clear the clog and ensured me there was a 6 month guarantee if it were to back up again. He cleaned up very well- you would never know the mess that had come out of my drains! I would highly recommend Roto-Rooter for any plumbing needs - they were timely, efficient and professional in all aspects of the job.

My mom had a house full of visitors from Texas when suddenly the kitchen and bathroom sinks filled with dirty water. My niece called Roto- Rooter explaining the situation and the receptionist told us help would arrive within 30 to 40 minutes. Your service tech arrived and quickly assessed the problem. He explained to my mother what he would need to do to solve the problem and then quoted a reasonable price. In a very short time, he unclogged years of built up grease that was keeping both drains from flowing. Your service tech Joe (#2452) was polite and neat- we couldn't have asked for better service. We were so happy that the problem was solved and our visit with family could resume.

We had a clog in our basement floor drain. We contacted the cincinnati oh branch Roto Rooter . The plumber who provided service was friendly and was able to easily clean out the floor drain with a cable. He did provide a free estimate but I have to say for what needed to be done and it only taking a half hour to 45 minutes the estimate was extremely high. After the estimate we said no but he gave a discount so we went ahead and did it. Overall, the job was done to our satisfaction but just seemed to be high in price (however, we did not have other estimates).

We love our local plumber but he was booked up when our water heater died. Roto-Rooter was there that afternoon and worked into the evening installing our new water heater. They were very professional and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

Mike arrived within an hour of my call. He was very informative about problem and work required to correct it. He was friendly and professional and completed the work in a timely manner and cleaned up the area before leaving.

Brenden #1226 was extremely polite and thoughtful. I have some health issue right now and he was very helpful and understanding. He also made me aware of a camera they have available to photograph the problem. He also made me aware of their restoration department which will come out and evaluate the damage. Brenden was very efficient and careful moving his equipment in and out. He also told me the cost before he started the repairs. I will definately request Brenden if I have any future plumbing problems and I highly recommend him.

Tyler did an amazing job and was earlier than expected and cleaned up. Detailed. Thorough. Professional.

On 6/25/19 Service Technician, Steve # 1188 arrived at my home. He listened to my concern regarding the water issue, gave me options on how best to correct the situation, and went right to work. The task was completed within a very short period of time.Steve was very pleasant. I will definitely request his service again in the future as the need arises.

Had to really dig to get cost breakdown of my estimate. Eventually got someone to say that they charge $500 per hour for hydrojetting. Hydrojetting can cost anywhere between 150-300/ hr. Overall was estimate $5600 to fix clean and repair a side exterior downspout. After discussing the upcharge with their customer service no effort was given to explain the difference in cost and it was a take it or leave it attitude. This is indicative of poor business practices. I’m choosing to go with another local company that charged a fair market value for the same work.

I live in Mt Airy and I knew I needed to call someone to clear my drains and this is the 2nd time I have worked with Roto Rooter. I am happy I called them again and my technician Matt #2719 was very professional a pleasure to talk/work with and was very knowledgeable about how to solve my drain problems. I initially started wanting only 1 drain cleaned and the way Matt worked and explained the process and my problems, I ended up having my entire house serviced. If I have to call anyone into do this again I hope I can get him again. Iw as more than satisfied with my service

We called RotoRooter to clear our drain - they were pretty expensive but we were willing to pay extra since they came on the weekend. However they didn’t finish the job on Saturday promised to come on Sunday but didn’t come and finally completed the work on Monday. If I knew they would take that long - I could have found a cheaper alternative for weekday. It took them literally 10 mins to fix the problem - but they made us wait 3 days and charged us a ton of money.

Steve did an excellent job. He walked me through the details of how he was going to make the repair, gave an estimate that turned out to be almost exactly the final price (final was a little lower), and then explained all the work he'd done when complete. He even added a bonus feature to make my life easier the next time I have to turn off our water main and make any other repairs - thank you!

Roto-Rooter did a good job on our plumbing problem. The plumber who came out was excellent. He did the job efficiently and with high quality, and took some extra time to answer our questions and give us advice on how to take care of our house’s plumbing. The only downsides were that they were 6+ hours later than the time window they first gave us- but still came the same day- and their services are expensive. But it wasn’t the first time I called RotoRooter, and won’t be the last.

Had a whole house plumbing backup. Rotorooter came 20 minutes after I called - after business hours. Fixed the problem and set up a next-day hydrojet. No digging in the yard thank goodness! Very kind and courteous staff members Nick and Brad.

Damian was very personable and prompt when it came to needing a new water heater installed in a tight spot in my second floor condo. I appreciate that he actually quoted me a price that was higher than what was actually due too. I think it's nice to get a final bill that's lower than expected. Nothing is worse than unexpected charges after the work is already finished (looking at you, car repair shops...) Thanks again, Roto-Rooter and Damian, for coming through for this stressed out new water heater owner!

They took our call at 11:30pm to make an appointment for the next day and then came out at 8:30 am. Very good communication and we really appreciated the quick response. Russell did a great job and was quick and professional. He suggested excellent ideas to fit exactly what we wanted. The price was a little more than what we were expecting, but overall we were really happy with the service.

I CAN NOT BELIEVE THIS IS HOW Y'ALL OPERATE. I CALLED AND WAS SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY. August 5th, 2019Nick Schultz was very professional, kind, courteous and very helpful. One of the best experiences I've ever had from any plumber. Roto Rooter has my business ten fold and I personally will contact Nick everytime. I must say communicating with Nick was like talking to a good well known friend. The work he did was definitely worth every penny spent. I highly reccomend Roto Rooter for any plumbing needs. They came the same day that I called, you can't beat that anywhere.

Our plumber Harry was awesome. he figured out what problem we had within minutes of looking at the clog that we had. He had a great sense of humor and was still professional. Setting up the appointment online was a breeze and our drains are good to go!

Technician was very professional, and explained what he was doing every step of the way.

Clayton was excellent — explained everything and did the job really well. My only complaints are that there was some confusion on the backend, so I ended up having to wait an extra hour for someone to arrive. And it's a bit pricey for a 30-minute job.

Ron Bear was the best. He was very professional and made us feel good about the service we were receiving. He was upfront and honest. He was able to unclog an outside drain which took some time. It wasn't a one time go with him. He worked at it until he got it. Thank you so much Ron. We will certainly ask for Ron in the future. Great job!

**Edit**I am moving my rating from 1* to 2*s. I received a call from a local customer service rep who apologized and offered to send out another tech to resolve the remaining issue. I told him I was able to fix what was left behind, and he is reimbursing me for part of the cost of the initial repair. Honestly it was one of the best customer service experiences I've had, so I'm grateful Roto-Rooter cares enough about customer service to make things right! It just may have been easier to have things done right the first time around.**Modified original post**My first Roto-Rooter tech was kind, seemed to know how to fix the issue, ordered a part and told me he would be back in 5-10 business days once the part has arrived.I called back 10 business days later to check the status on the order, and found out that he no longer worked with the company. I worked with the dispatcher to have a second technician to look at the leak in our bathtub. We had an appointment scheduled, and no one showed up. The next day, I got an email from them saying that my ticket was closed as the problem was resolved. It was not.We played phone tag several times until we finally scheduled a rep to come out and resolve the issue. They were able to do so, but the bathtub immediately started leaking after they left and they left the bathroom in shambles and in poor working order. We then called dispatch and had him come back to fix the issue.They were expensive, unprofessional in the way that they communicated with us over the phone, and didn't to resolve our issue with any sort of promptness.

I had a main line blockage in my house and had been waiting for a contractor to be dispatched through my home warranty company. Since I was told I would have to wait at least 48 hours before I could get any service, I called Roto Rooter. Regina, who answered was extremely helpful and helped me to be prepared for my appointment that she scheduled immediately. Mack showed up, same day, and cleared the line in 30 minutes. I was thrilled. I felt challenged trying to get my home warranty company to help with this and everyone with Roto Rooter made it extremely easy. Thank you.

After describing my problem the tech told me that my septic tank being full was the real problem and snaking the drain would most likely be a waste of money. His honesty was most appreciated.

I had a good experience with Roto Rooter. We needed service immediately for my 93 years old mother. It was late evening and all of the technicians were on other jobs. The office made several calls and kept us updated as to when the technician would be there. I was assured they would be there that night and he was. Tyler was the technician. He explained everything and was very professional. Most of all he was warm and friendly. It really helped a bad situation. Tyler gave us a discount but I still found the service a little pricey.

When my kitchen sink backed up I called Roto-Rooter. Based on the extreme cold for the last two weeks I assumed that it would be a few days before someone would be available. I was wrong, they scheduled the service for the same day. While they did miss the time window they gave me by a couple hours, it was not a big deal because the dispatcher called ahead to confirm the new time would work.The tech who came out (Marwan) worked quickly, was friendly and knowledgeable and got the issue fixed in just under an hour. I was impressed by the amount of information he shared regarding the cause of the issue and preventative measures to take to avoid it in the future. It is worth mentioning that I was his last service call at 10:45pm and if I didn’t ask would have never known Marwan was finishing up a 15-16 hour day.This was my first experience with Roto-Rooter and they will be my first call with any future plumbing issues.

Excellent team on both plumbing repairs and water restoration. Jonathan was great in getting the failed septic ejector pump repaired in a quick and efficient manner. The plumber arrived very quickly (within an hour) on a holiday! He was professional, wore booties over his shoes so as to not get dirt on my floors. He assessed the problem and offered solid advice along with the solution. There were no hidden charges for our clogged pipe. He solved our issue quickly. We were very happy with the service and would use them again.

Roto-Rooter, Zach Wilkins, showed up exactly at scheduled time. I generally don't judge based on that and allow lots of leeway, especially for services like help with plumbing. But I was impressed.The technician was genuinely friendly, in voice and facial expression and mannerisms. . .not annoyed because he had to work and probably get dirty, haul awkward equipment into my basement, listen to my description of what was going wrong, fix it and clean up.He allowed me to stand by and watch and ask questions and discuss what he was doing.Before he began work he discussed fees and options with me and made sure I understood.The project became complicated and he was able to diagnose possibilities. He suggested a more specific procedure, which would be performed by another Roto-Rooter specialist and told me about costs. He did not give me a bill and tell me to call for that additional service, and depart. He called that specialist and asked if he was available .. now. I had not used up all of my service time charge so he waited until the second technician showed up to explain and assist if needed. The second technician was just as good. The two worked together. I payed the basic fees for each, $$$, but no one was trying to take advantage. Problem still needs work but both informed me of services for which I could contract through Roto-Rooter and not have to hunt for someone.

Have an old house, so roots in plumbing happen sometimes. Chris and Andy definitely helped quickly, were very knowledgeable, and gave realistic picture of what was going on and the price points and suggestions on what would be best for an old 1882 house with a small crack or two in the main pipe, which is where the roots sometimes come in.Definitely would recommend company

Curtis came out and reviewed the job and gave me a worse case estimate for the work, it was a big job and he spent the whole day fixing the issues. He found other issues as the work progressed and corrected them at no additional cost. He did great job in solving my plumbing issues.

The scheduler, who answered my request for help, said that I was in luck and a technician was available between 2 pm to 6 pm Friday. I asked for a ballpark estimate of what it would cost to have 2 slow flowing drains cleaned. The scheduler would not give me an estimate.At 4 pm, 6:12 pm and at 8:29 pm the scheduler called me to say that they were waiting on a technician to become available. During the last call, the scheduler suggested that perhaps I should reschedule for the next day between 8 am and noon. I agreed with the suggestion. The technician, David S. #2380, came about 9:15 am and cleaned the 1st slow-flowing drain, but could do not the 2nd one (downspout). He suggested doing a different drain and I agreed. I had not had any problems with this drain, and it was clean. When he arrived, he said that Roto Rooter would provide a free camera inspection perhaps on Monday. However when he was leaving at noon time, he said that since I had a septic system, that Ohio would not allow this type of inspection. The technician was neat and clean and professional. I am disappointed about the time spent waiting and not getting the 2nd slow flowing drain cleaned.

We called Roto-Rooter with an emergency for our septic system, on 6/11/12 and they arrived quickly and professionally. The gentlemen, Bill & William, who took the call were very nice and knowledgeable and explained all the different options we could do so fix our problem. After discussing our options we were very happy to have them come back out to fix our septic. I would recommend them to anyone needing plumbing service.

We had roto rooter come out because we had a sink pushing water back up.. we were charged $715 to snake out our kitchen sink down and then from our main line down… we were told we needed to have our pipes descaled as well and that it would cost $3900 (being new home owners and not knowing any better we unfortunately agreed to this) they came out the next day and did not even solve the issue… Ben promised everything would be descaled- including the main line from the basement bathroom and they only did the line from the kitchen sink to the main… yet still changing $3900 - we had another company come out today and is only charging us $90 to unclog the main drain that roto rooter was supposed to descale but never did… that’s on top of Zach trying to tell us we needed to spend $20k in replacing the main pipe and letting them break up our basement floor… which he was very persistent in trying to get us to agree to do..&& without showing us the camera footage of this “eroded pipe” - even after calling and asking for it.Roto- Rooter is a scam and is just out to get you for your $$$$. Would not recommend

Chris went above and beyond to make sure the work was getting done on our extremely old basement plumbing. He was thorough and so nice in explaining every step of the process and made what was otherwise a nightmare so much more tolerable. That man deserves awards for his customer service! Everyone else I worked with was super professional as well. Chris just really was extra kind and helpful.

Brad Shackleford came out and did an excellent job. I felt like he treated the work as if he was doing it on his own property, even went so far as to help me set up my phone so I could video record the pipe from the inside to get a better understanding of what was going on. 10/10

Nick came out within 2 hours of our request and he was awesome. He was on time, extremely knowledgeable, explained everything well, and fixed the immediate issue. Then he gave us 3 options for further repair. We love using Roto-Rooter for any sewage “problems” and have used them for years, and they never disappoint us!

I always call Roto Rooter first! They respond when they say they will. They give me an estimate and make me understand EVERYTHING. They have always done great work. They clean up after themselves very well. My Service Tech, Steve was very nice and honest with me about what should be done. What more can I ask for!

I live in a condo and the unit below me had water damage from my unit in their ceiling. I called in a plumber in May, a new shower head was installed and a new p-trap in the tub for $400.00 and I paid to have the ceiling in the unit down stairs repaired.One month later, the ceiling down stairs again showed signs of water damage. Here we go again, problem not fixed. My Son removed the faucet in the tub, but due to calcification, we couldn't get the water turned off in our unit to replace the faucet, and with the cartridges and seals, my Son didn't feel confident he could make the repair water tight, so we called Roto-Rooter.The Roto-Rooter Plumber arrived on time exactly as planned. He was extremely knowledgeable. He had the water turned off in our condo unit in 2-minutes, even with the calcification problems. He installed the parts we had purchased from Anderson Plumbing, showed us exactly what was causing the problem and advised this has been a long term problem, it just reached the point to where the unit below us showed signs of water damage, even though there were 0 leaks in our tub or shower.The repair was made in less than an hour, affordable, and I'm 100% confident we have addressed the problem efficiently and correctly by using Roto-Rooter. We are 100% satisfied customers, and would not hesitate to request the same plumber Russell M. Moore, II 2072 again.

Had an unexpected water leakage problem from a toilet. (turned out we needed to replace the toilet). RR answers their phone, was available, and quick to respond. (thank God the the incident happened early in the morning so RR could get somebody in that day). I called about 9am, they arrived within the 10-12 ETA window at 1130am, RR identified the problem and explained our options. We did paperwork, then RR went out and got a toilet, RR brought everything in, RR removed the old, installed the new, we then took care of payment and RR took away the old toilet, all packing materials and debris about 2pm.(Gave 4 stars, survey can't remember customers name correctly, which ISN'T Fred)

I called with an emergency sewer back up at 9:00 pm on a Monday night, and Harry Green was at my house at about 9:30 pm. My issue was resolved within the hour. He did not waste a minute of my time in fixing the issue. He ran a line and got some tree roots from the pipes and we were good to go. Harry was friendly and chatted while he worked, even taking time to play with our dog! He was a pleasure to work with and made a stressful Monday evening much better.

Salem was amazing and a great person to welcome into my home. However, this is the second time Roto-Rooter made an appointment and was more than several hours late. That is incredibly frustrating.

I found the service provided to be prompt, professional and comprehensive. I did have a few issues. We had sump pump failure which resulted in some minor flooding in our basement. Immediately upon arrival they began talking to me about new sump pumps without even looking at our current system to determine what the failure was. The next day when they replaced the sump pump, they learned there was an issue with the drain which required someone else to come out and assess. This is what was ultimately the problem. I wasn't sure why they didn't look at my system the first day they came out? The next person to arrive to look at the drain was also kind and professional; however, the estimated offer he provided to repair the drain was almost triple what another company said when I called for a second opinion. Very shocking to me. While I liked the workers and felt they were kind and did a good job on the work they did, I felt they were trying to use my emergency and take advantage of my family by frightening me into paying a much larger price than necessary. I'm happy I went with another company, but would still recommend Roto-Rooter as an initial or second opinion for a large issue.

Bradley was pleasant, upbeat, and informative. He unclogged the pipe leading to our home, and explained what he was doing and why. Bradley worked at a steady pace, and made sure that everything was working well before leaving.

We woke to find our basement flooded from a clog in our septic system, worsening as the day went on. My husband called Roto-rooter first thing in the morning and they were unable to give any kind of idea of a time they would be there, stating they cover all of Cincinnati, but they would call when on the way. We actually called twice to try to obtain a general ETA. As the flooding became worse and hours passed with no word from Roto-rooter, my husband decided to try to fix the problem himself (luckily, he is very handy). He rented equipment and was able to break the clog with the help of my father-in-law. We did not hear from Roto-rooter the remainder of the day.They ended up showing up the next day. If we had waited this long, our basement and belongings would have been ruined. It was extremely disappointing to have NO idea about an estimated time of arrival and almost baffling that they simply just waited until the next day despite the worsening of the flooding and our calling twice. They didn't even call us to inform us that they would not be able to come until the next day.We will never try to work with Roto-rooter again and will advise others to bypass this company as well. Complete waste of time and very likely would have ruined many of our belongings.

I am very happy that Jordan was the technician called to work on my home plumbing issue. He was extremely efficient and pleasant even when he had to go back and work on the drain more extensively than expected. I will recommend Jordan and Roto-Rooter in the future.

The service and work by the plumber was excellent. Our plumber, Isaac, was friendly, efficient, and effective. He identified our issue and corrected it. The timing for setting up appointments was a bit of hassle but overall the experience was good.

Tommy was professional, courteous, thorough with his work, and cleaned up after the work was complete. He also instructed me on how to best seal pipe juncture (between PVC and old cast iron pipe) that he knew I was going to do myself after he left and that worked out exactly like he said. Thanks!

I was at my wits end, and despite the fact that it took several attempts, he patiently continued to work until the job was done, and cheerfully did so, as well. Even though it was more than I was hoping to spend, I am now a Roto Rooter customer for life, because of the treatment I received from Nick, and the can do attitude he presented. Every person we dealt with from the first step onward was wonderful. I can't say enough how happy I am with this experience! Thank you!

Always on a weekend, we had our main floor drain back up no toilets, no showers, no good! We called RotoRooter and even on a Sunday they came out promptly, ready to fix it! Caleb was informative and calm! He assured us he’d do everything he could to restore us to normal. And he did!! In about a half hour he had removed tree roots and toilets were flushing again!! He cleaned up everything as if it had never happened. He followed up with all he done and thanked us!! We were grateful to say the least! Highly recommend, if you are in need.

We have had work done by Roto-Rooter before. Always please with their work. This time, the service tech Steve #1188 was quick to find the problem and get it solved. He was courteous and took the time to show us some details that he could have passed over.

The only reason we called Roto Rooter was because we realize a pipe cracked around 9 pm at night. Thought we would get someone out that night to help since they are 24 hr service. But they told me someone will be out at 9 am tomorrow... Had a supervisor show up and take pictures of our situations, said someone would be out within the hour to fix. First tech came and only did copper work. Not sure why the supervisor didn't have someone with CPVC come out in the first place... that is my only complaint. Our tech that did the repairs worked with me and provided our service with quality and in a timely manner. We are pleased with the results.

Called RR to replace a wax seal below my toilets. Very fast and efficient service. Plumber was knowledgeable and friendly. Price was very high though, considering I had already disassembled the toilets myself.

Our service man David was amazing. He arrived quickly and was quick in accessing the problem and fixing it. It was sort of an emergency so we really appreciated the prompt service. I definitely would call Roto-Rooter again and personally request David!

Charged $450 for a simple drain clearing, less than an hour's work, that I have previously done myself and would have if I hadn't been tied up at my own job. Rate was not quoted until after the tech arrived on site and other options for same day completion were growing slim. Other local plumbers have charged far less than that for similar service on past occasions. Hell, even my lawyer would have charged me less to do the job.

The service was very good! The Rep explained to me what he was going to do. And all of my questions were answered clearly. He did a great job. Fixed the problem right away. I think that Rotor Rooter is a top notch plumbing service. I have used them once before. And i will always keep them in mind, for myself and all of my family members and friends.

Today I received wonderful service from Brian Sharp the plumber in which he was polite, friendly and he also execute his job with my sump pump. Yay!! He even was nice to my puppy. My review reflects the time I had to spend waiting to hear from/see a plumber on the weekend. I was told someone would be here between 2 and 6 on a Friday; at 3:30 I received a call saying that I wasn't forgotten. Then at 9:30 pm, another call to reschedule for Saturday beginning at noon. At 3:30 Saturday afternoon, again a call to say I hadn't been forgotten. Then at 9:30 pm, a call from a fellow with apologies telling me that I had disappeared from the board. I reminded him that I'd had a call that afternoon. He sent a very nice fellow, Tyler 2092, who arrived around 10 pm Saturday. Tyler determined the problem and we scheduled a visit for Sunday around 3 pm. Tyler could not initially fix the old leaky shower fixture, after 2 attempts. He phoned a co-worker who brought a set of complete replacements. They finished the work around 8:30 pm on Sunday, My poor review reflects the long wait when Roto Rooter's advertising talks about immediate service, even on weekends. That didn't happen in this case. My calls on hold to them had the annoying tune promising quick service. That's very frustrating when you've been spent the weekend waiting. You'll find I wrote similar review on Angie's List.

We had a sump pump emergency and I scheduled an online appointment at 11:00pm for service the next day and was called the next morning at 7:30am to let me know they were on their way. They had our sump pump replaced within 2 hours. Russell was friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

The dispatch service kept me abreast of time expectations. Kris (4970) arrived and went straight to the problem. He homed in on the source of the problem, had his equipment out and had my problem cleared relatively quickly. He was thorough, efficient. He was patient and answered all of my questions providing me with information/explanations. He also noted preventive services provided by the company and explained the warranty on the service he had provided. I would not hesitate to call them again should the need arise. I highly recommend the company.

I was disappointed at first because my original appointment time of 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm couldn't be kept and had to be rescheduled for the next morning between 8:00 am and 10:00 am. I'm glad it did. I had a great technician come out by the name of Terrell Crawford (4302). He was very nice and informative. He explained why it would be best for me to get my kitchen sink and basement drain snaked at the same time instead of waiting and doing them one at time. His recommendation saved me time as well as money. I will definitely use Terrell and Roto-Rooter again for any of my plumbing problems.

I needed to reschedule the arrival time by two hours and the Roto-Rooter scheduler was able to accommodate me. Matt arrived quickly after a call and went to work. He explained things while he fixed our kitchen drain, cleared the garbage disposal and cleaned the trap in our bathroom. He also gave me a demo of the Roto-Rooter Pipe Shield which I purchased and will use regularly to keep the system trouble-free. I am a very happy customer. Bart

I asked to have the flush valve and supply line replaced. I was told I needed a new flapper. After installing the new flapper the toilet did not flush properly. He said I needed a heavier handle. What I need is the flapper he removed back so my toilet will work properly.

I was satisfied with the service provided by both the Roto-Rooter phone representative and by the plumber who came to inspect our outside drain pipe. The phone representative was friendly and answered several of my questions. She had a plumber to our house in Cincinnati within the hour. The technician was friendly and professional, giving us a straight forward explanation of the services he was able to provide for a fair fee. I was also able to use a $40 coupon I found on their website. The plumber did a good job rooting the drain, though we realized we would eventually have to replace the piping. Even so, I felt he did his job well and even gave us some tips on how to go about fixing the problem ourselves if we chose to do so.

Andrew was super awesome. We didn't realize how much of a problem that our cats were causing until we had to call and have someone come out. He spent quite a bit of time with us and made absolutely sure that we wouldn't have many more issues. Very grateful to him for coming out today. 3312 is his tech number, I highly recommend him.

I contacted Roto-Rooter (4/10/13) today because my mainline was backed up. They were at my door and ready to work in less than 30 minutes. This was the fastest plumbing service that I have ever received. I used the same company in september 2012. The plumber who came to my door remembered my issue, knew my concerns and completed the service in a timely and professional manner. I will definitely recommend Roto-Rooter to my friends and family.

EDIT 9/15/22: Matt came out and fixed our sink at no cost! Helped with advice, with the clog, and did everything correctly. Very satisfied with the turn around positive customer service we had from Roto rooter today. Thank you so much!Original: Paid $283 for a service to be done on my sink. The original call I made was for a sink that wouldn't drain and a P Trap pipe needed to be finished being installed. The service tech fixed the pipe and recommended me to go purchase my own parts because it would be hundreds of dollars cheaper. Showed me what to get and installed those and the sink still is leaking and not draining. Not so upset with the tech, he was an enjoyable person. Although he did leave 2 saw blades in my bathroom out in the open. I have 2 dogs and a baby so I'm glad I caught that before they did. Also had a $75 off coupon that the tech was not aware of upon his arrival. He quoted us $270. When he was writing up our invoice, we told him we had a coupon and he stated he already added that into the price. Don't believe that because he didn't even know about it. He also went out to purchase parts and came back stating he got some extra things he needed for his inventory. When he realized he didn't need all the parts he used for our service specifically, he stated he was going to return what he didn't need... YET still charged us $33 for parts on our invoice. Very disappointed though that I spent almost $300 and I'm still not able to use my bathroom sink! Do not recommend.

I have dealt with other plumbing companies before and have had a very bad experience with one that I will not mention their name. That is when I decided to call the leader in Plumbing Roto-Rooter. I have been using them ever since. On this particular call they were able to be here before I was actually ready for them. I scheduled it for a little later and they were here right on time. They came in and assessed the situation, gave me the estimate, and we're done within an hour. All this was done as I expected because of my past experience with them. As we all know Plumbing work can be expensive. But if you're going to spend the money anyway you may as well go with the best and avoid the troubles from inferior companies.

I had water line clog and had water line run to new frigarator and had a garbage disposal installed and new sink faucet installed was very pleased with the installer.Scott was very professional and came in under the quote he gave .I will use them again if needed in the future . Called another place. They gave me a bogus answer and charged me $300. Roto-Rooter came out not only saw my problem temporarily, but help me make a long-term solution that was best for my household. Thanks again for your services. Will usually again in the future if needed

Zach 0181 was great, very courteous and knowledgeable. He gave us an accurate estimate and took care of everything same day (even saved us a few dollars). I will be sure to contact Roto-Rooter in the future for any plumbing or drain issues.

We had a leak in our bathroom ceiling. Steve B. tech # 1188 came out and quickly found where the leak was. There was quite a bit of water damage and he sat down with us and explained exactly what the water restoration people would look for and how the process would go. We had several questions that he easily answered and we felt confident that he knew what he was talking about. He took great care of our home and cleaned up his work area thoroughly even though he knew water restoration was on their way and they would be having to remove more of our ceiling and wall. If we have any future plumbing problems we'll call Roto-Rooter and request the same technician be sent to our home.

I hat Matt come out - Tech 2481. He did a stellar job and made everything so much easier. We ended up having to replace our water heater and he handled it every step of the way, even getting our warrantyinformation. I will definitely be using Roto-Rooter next time due to Matt's awesome customer service.

First and foremost, I was very pleased with the service technician, Martin, that came out to unclog my drains. He was very polite, efficient, and knowledgeable. But as far as the way that Roto-Rooter schedules their appointments, I am VERY disappointed!!! I will never recommend their company, due to lack of respect for the customer's time. It's extremely unorganized and does not consider the customer's schedules. I booked my apt a week in advance, for the very first appointment slot from 8-10am on a Saturday. I had to leave my house by 2:30 for a prior engagement that day, as to why i booked the apt in advance and early. So it would be done in time. I waited until finally 12:25 pm for the tech to show up. Luckily he showed up, fixed the problem, and i was able to leave my house on schedule. I expected that if you schedule an apt a week in advance for the FIRST apt slot of the day, you should expect to have someone show up within those designated times. OTHERWISE, you are WAY TOO OVERBOOKED. The website stated that you have enough employees to cover, so this should not have happened. Some guy, (who told me he was a field service tech with RR) came to my house that morning at 9:30, only to evaluate the situation and take a picture of my standing water in my dishwasher. He stated it's so he could pass this on to the right technician. Come to find out, my technician that showed up at 12:15, stated that he never received the picture or info about the problem, and he just got assigned to this job 15 minutes ago. VERY VERY poor service regarding the scheduling process and time efficiency. I am so happy I had an awesome technician who got the job done with a lot of sweat & persistence, because he cared that i was in a time crunch at time. I will not recommend Roto-Rooter's service to anyone, because of the blatant disregard for the customer's time.

Had some serious drain issues that I could not unclog with a rented auger from home depot. Even when I requested changes in the estimate format and in the order of a water heater, they were no problem. He and the office staff were prompt, courteous, and eager to assist. And the water heater is great, too.

First Visit:Recently, I enlisted Roto-Rooter's services to clear clogged pipes in my kitchen and laundry room, but the outcome was unsatisfactory. Adding to my disappointment, the plumber initially claimed they couldn't access the roof to clear the four pipes, despite another company doing so successfully six years ago. He even said that would have been faster and had a better result. However, the plumber later contradicted himself, mentioning they could access the roof with a harness, but a shortage within their company prevented its use. This raised concerns about safety protocols and organizational efficiency. I reached out to the manager, who confirmed their plumbers weren't permitted on roofs but admitted they could access commercial roofs. The next day after water started seeping through the floor after running the dishwasher. I called our appliance repair man and he showed us the water was not coming from the dishwasher or from under the sink. The dishwasher wasn't the cause, and as the issue emerged after Roto-Rooter's work, I contacted Roto Rooter and they sent a repairman who denied responsibility and claimed we had bad pipes, despite PVC replacements of all our pipes a few years ago. When I requested a camera inspection, he wanted to charge me. Later, the manager, Ross Musa, called and repeated the same, but in a rude and arrogant manner. The high price of $480 to snake a pipe where the avreage charge in Fort Lauderdale, Fl is $75-$125 for minimal work, along with conflicting information from the plumber and manager regarding roof accessibility and safety gear, left a negative impression. The damages they caused, including the pipe they broke with the snake and subsequent water leakage, only added to my frustration. As a business consultant for 52 years, I strongly advise thorough research and exploring alternative options before considering Roto-Rooter for plumbing needs. I agreed, thinking it would finally put an end to the uncertainty surrounding the situation.However, much to my surprise, he then informed me that running the camera would come with an additional charge. I couldn't believe it –Sadly, this was not an isolated incident with Roto Rooter. Numerous complaints had been filed against them for breaking pipes with their plumber's snakes.Dealing with this situation had left me feeling disappointed and disillusioned with the service industry and Roto Rooter.We now have water leaking under the floor it will not dry up even after using a shop vac.I would like my money back $480.00

I was delighted with the service from Roto-Rooter. Just as the coldest weather of the year hit Cincinnati, our sewer line backed up. Despite some misgivings, I called Roto-Rooter. As some big companies try to take advantage of their customers, I was a bit afraid of Roto-Rooter, but my regular plumber was going into knee surgery on Monday and the backup choice was busy for the next week. I looked Roto-Rooter up on Angie's List and they had an A rating so I decided to give them a chance. The service was excellent. The tech was very personable and well-spoken. The job was taken care of right away. Based on my experience, I would recommend them and would be comfortable using them again.

Scheduling was pretty much a nightmare. The 4 hour window they give you is rarely correct. If you can manage to get a tech to you, they are great. Good value and excellent service. Did not feel like my time was respected at all.

Chris and August cleaned out and scoped my Sewer Line with a camera. They explained everything in great detail and offered a variety of solutions. Good communication and they'll be my first call.

We called Roto Rooted because we had back up in our house. They came out and took care of us. Matt #2719 was our guy. He was very professional and informative. He answered all our questions and gave good service. Very nice guy. We will definitely be calling for any other plumbing needs.

We had called another plumbing company in to unclog the pipes at my workplace... They were unsuccessful. Corporate then called Roto-Roooter who sent Brad Shackleford (2664) with a jet truck and camera equipment to handle the job. It was a bitterly cold day and ended up being an extremely difficult clog. He worked diligently and was in and out in the weather to make sure the job was done correctly even after he had the pipes flowing as to not create a problem in the future for us or the other surrounding businesses. I cannot say enough good about his work ethics and integrity.

For about 6 years, I used this company to service clogged drains at rental properties. We had a special pricing agreement for about 6 years. Nov 2018 got billed our usual price. February 2019 i asked them to do a job. When I scheduled there was no mention that they had decided we no longer got the special pricing. Plumber came out, called me and no mention of change in price. We received the bill and they had increased our price by about 60%. I was sure it was an oversite. No they said that's your price now. First they said my owner canceled the agreement. Not true. Then said they sent me a letter. Never got one of those. Then said we didn't give them enough volume. I will never use them again. Frankly, the way that went down was not very nice.

The reason I'm giving them three stars is because the technician that came out to unclog the drain and he was very professional and did his job I would have gave him five stars but trying to set up an appointment to get a camera ran through after they told me it comes the drain being cleaned out I can get somebody at the office but when they say they're going to return my calls or my secretary's calls nothing ever happens and it's been 2 weeks and we have called them multiple times you would think just out of courtesy somebody from Roto-Rooter would call you

The gentleman that came out was very professional and knowledgeable. Made sure my issue was solved before he left. We actually had to unclog a different part of the drain lines than I had thought was the problem. I got same day service. I called at 1pm and they were here by 3. I received a call about an hour after the request to let me know they hadn't forgot about me and then about an hour later to let me know the serviceman was on his way. 5 🌟

My positive experience with RotoRooter was definitely the promptness of service. They responded to my call and sent out a technician later that evening on a Sunday. The work was completed very quickly. My only negative review is that the camera guy came out after the initial visit and quoted me a very expensive pipe cleanout service to restore my pipes to 98% of their origanal state. The price seemed very high for the service they were providing and I felt like this method was a huge upselling on RotoRooters part.

I had the most pleasant experience with Russ, my technician at Roto-Rooter. He was very professional. He went shopping for me as I didn't have time to pick out a faucet. He even woke me up on the couch so I could pay the bill lol! The work he did was so professional and looks so good. I also want to mention the dispatchers who kept in contact with me until we could coordinate a time. I will definitely use this company again and I will highly recommend to others. Thank you. I placed a call to roto-rooter after 2pm and they said they'd be there between 3 and 6. The tech arrived fairly quickly around 3pm. The tech was very polite and professional and he did a very thorough job. It took a couple of hours, but it was a job well done. Thanks

When the plumber came he was very polite and answered all my question. he was so nice i felt i could get to know him personally. He even answered question other then what he came for. making be feel like i only wanted him to come back to do any other work i needed done the next time. very good work, very quick and cleaned up after himself. him very pleased.

I recently moved to the area and had just bought a house. About two weeks after I moved in, the sewer backed up in my basement. I called Roto Rooter knowing that they had a good reputation and were supported by the Better Business Bureau. The young man who came out, Zach W., was very pleasant, extremely professional and understanding. He explained everything he did and why and what the problem was. Before he came out, he had already prepared another in case he needed it . . . he did.I was very impressed with his professionalism and friendliness and the thoroughness of the job he did. If I ever have this problem again, and I hope I don't, Zach W. would be the service person I would request. Great job!

I’ll start with the good news: The water remediation/cleanup was completed by Roto-Rooter, for the most part.Now for the bad news: It took 2 full weeks to do this remediation work which should have taken no more than 3 to 5 days. Although the workers were good people, they were relatively inexperienced and grossly overworked (they were both working 6 to 7 days a week at ~10 hours per day.) As a consequence, their work was sloppy and the invoice from Roto-Rooter was way over-priced—probably double what it should have been ($9.3K vs $5K). Also, the remediation workers caused significant damage to my hardwood floors (in the non damaged area) because of the adhesive covering that was used, ironically, to protect the floors. Also, they scratched a toilet seat when it was used as a bench for their equipment and also scratched the handrail from the basement while lugging up heavy drying equipment from the basement.Bottom line: I had a very bad overall experience with Roto-Rooter doing my water remediation work. I would strongly NOT recommend this company for water remediation/cleanup.

I called Roto Rooter 7:30 Monday morning. They arrived at 8:30 to unclog a kitchen sink. They told me how much it would cost up front. I accepted the charges; they began to unclog the drain. It took them 45 minutes start to finish. They found an unusual amount of macaroni and cheese which was clogging the drain. Once unclogged they ran water for about ten minutes to make sure it was running. Then they recommended I purchase a liquid solution; something like draino; but more powerful and concentrated. When he made up my bill the cost was a lot less than the original quote. I have used my local Roto-Rooter for past plumbing issues and am 100% satisfied with their work.

It seems our plumbing problems always show up on the weekend. So it is so nice to find a service that will respond anytime. The two gentlemen showed up in Ft. Wright even earlier than promised, explained everything clearly, and had everything fixed quickly and well. This is our second experience with Roto-Rooter, and they are definitely now our plumbers of choice.

Brian #4755 did an outstanding job replacing a toilet shut off valve and hose. He was professional, efficient and friendly. He explained everything he was doing in a manner that I could understand. I will definitely use Roto-Rooter the next time I need plumbing!

We had scheduled an appointment for Roto-Rooter to repair a leaky hose bib and evaluate repair of a leaking utility tub. The we're on our way call came 2 hours earlier than we expected, which was a surprise on a Saturday morning, and the service tech, Russell, arrived a short time later. He was very courteous, informing me of the cost for repairing our hose bib. He then evaluated our utility tub and associated plumbing. The tub had cracks throughout the cement, and any plumbing work he would do would not completely stop the leaking. We would have to replace the tub to effectively solve the problem. He indicated that there would be a savings if we bought the parts ourselves, and also a savings on labor if we had him do the new tub and faucet installation on that same visit, so we decided to go ahead. The first job was completed quickly and efficiently, yet gave us time to run out and purchase the major parts for the second job. I'm very happy that he was able to stay and complete the second job! The condition of our ancient, cement utility tub and the almost completely rusted-through tub stand was so bad it wouldn't have lasted much longer had we decided to wait. Russell made sure that everything was installed correctly, and even took the time to tidy up some of the old connections that were in bad shape. Not only that, he left the area around my utility tub cleaner than when he got there! I am very grateful for the excellent work done by Russell, and for the consistent, dependable service that Roto-Rooter always provides. Note: the only thing stopping me from rating this experience 5 stars was the final bill. I believe their rates are fair, but the total still came as a shock when all was said and done.

Woke me up with an extremely early call way ahead of the agreed-upon scheduled time window. $425 to unclog a drain that took the tech 15 minutes. Then said the clog will happen again soon and quoted an outrageous $1400 to hydro jet the line (competitors are half as much) to clear roots, that will “grow back in months”. No mention of the $15 tried-and-true foaming root killers that accomplish the same goal. Won’t make the mistake of calling them again.

On Sunday the 18 of October our basement drain started backing up so we called Roto Rooter to come out when Technician Zach Wilkins 0181 came out very pleasant, although he tried and tried he was unable to fix the issue, then he called the verifier Chris to the house who was still unable to fix the issue. Both technicians tried very hard to fix the issue. They did however direct us to call the city who fixed the problem, but without help from Roto Rooter we wouldn't have been able to get it fixed as quick as we did. So Thank you Zach for coming out. Keep up the great work

Our service technician, Brandon, took a while to get to us (but he told us he was coming all the way from KY!), but once he arrived the service was great. He was thorough, personable, and did a great job diagnosing the problem in our bathroom and fixing it in a professional, diligent, and efficient manner. We were pleased with the service and will likely use this company again.

Called to schedule an appointment to have my shower looked at well as get a quote for a replacement sunk pump, ended up that a plumber was available and had the time to do all of the work that day. Overall it was Great quality and very professional.

We had a serious problem with our sewer main...partial collapse. Most everyone was very helpful and got the problem resolved. They did a complete re-line. The only issue we had was some communication as far as appointment dates and times. The crew that came on Tuesday to do the Jet and re-line did an exceptional job. Very knowledgeable and courteous. Also, when they told us the times, they were there. I would recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone.Thanks to Ryan (on-call manager) for all your help in getting this arranged and taken care of when there was some mis-communication.

Tom came to install 3 shut-off valves in my kitchen. He was very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and finished the job in a decent amount of time. He did also go out of his way to mention a few things that might need to be addressed in the near future. We could not do them at the time, but I will definitely be calling Roto-Rooter back when we can tackle some of the other problems.

If I could give no stars I will give no stars Roto-Rooter came out to my home to remove a clog and left mess all over my dryer my walls and my sink they are horrible and when I call back to ask them to come and clean up their mess they tried to charge me $175 to remove the mess will never go back do not recommend. ALSO OVER PRICED!

My brother already tried to warn me about the disaster he had with this company, and the condition they left his house in. I gave them a shot anyways. Two days in a row, they just never showed up. They actually did end up calling around 9:30 pm the first night to say they’re still trying to find someone to come out for our 4:00-6:00 appointment 🤦🏽‍♀️ Against my better judgement, I rescheduled for the next day. I called them at the middle of my scheduled appointment time to make sure I was on the schedule and to ask them to call and update me if they weren’t going to make it in time. They assured me that they always do. And of course... they never did. I rearranged my schedule for two days to work around their commitments, and they could care less. Never again.

We just had Mike Z. in our home who fixed our broken toilet. His appearance was neat and his demeanor very professional. He assessed the situation carefully, gave us an estimate and fixed the issue on the spot. After having my current plumbing service charge me for attempting to clear my clogged kitchen sink drain with a minimum of effort, and scheduling me for a several hundred dollar service THREE DAYS LATER since he couldn't get through the clog, I called Roto Rooter. They said they were fully booked that night but would come between 10-2 the next day (Sunday). I vented on social media about the experience with my current service provider (I'm a preferred customer), and I received a call from Roto Rooter. They dispatched a crew that night and my drain was cleared for less than what the next charge from my current company quoted me for a service I no longer need. Oh, and Roto Rooter opened the clean-out the other company had made the LAST time they were at our house, and had no trouble breaking up the clog that my company said was too hard for their auger to break through, PLUS they guaranteed it for six months, which my company would not. That company will not be mine anymore.

I recently discovered a leak in my kitchen sink so I called Roto Rooter. They came out the very next morning and were there when they said they would be. Tom was very nice and did a thorough job and explained everything he was doing. Joe always was there and showed me the cause and effects of the problem just very informative. Great couple of guys!

We had Roto-Rooter use a camera to evaluate our sewer lines for tree branches. They were very professional and courteous. The camera man was extremely nice and prompt and I trusted his evaluation and he explained everything and informed me and gave advice as he was conducting the evaluation of the sewer lines. August our jetting technician, Bill who provided plumbing services, and Doug a supervisor were all fantastic and so professional helping us with what turned out to be a major project to repair a crushed pipe on our property. All the work contracts were clearly and thoroughly explained and we were never rushed or pressured to make a decision. Everyone wore a mask while on the job. I had a Kitchen sink clog on Sunday that i worked on for a while. I tried using a 25 ft snake, Drano and plunging, but could not get the the drain to open up. on Monday morning i called another plumber that I was referred to, but they could not get me scheduled until the next day so I decided to give Roto-rooter a try. My chief concern other than getting the clog freed was that i didn't want somebody to show up do 20 minutes of work and charge me 400.00, or tell me i had other issues that weren't really issues.One of the nice things with RR is that they will give you an estimate of the job up front. They charge by the job not the hour They quoted me 250.00, but i was able to use an online coupon from yelp for 50.00 off driving the price down to 200.00. Andy was our technician. He was friendly, knowledgeable and respectful of our house. He worked on the drain for a solid hour and probably put in around 1.5 for the total call. In the end the drain was freed and the sink and bathroom now drain much faster. He gave us some great advice on how to prevent future issue, including roots getting into the main and pointed out where the waste water pipes were running in the house for future reference. All in all I was very satisfied and don't feel like I got gouged.TonyCincinnati, OH

Impossible to determine if a repair technician was actually coming or not during a plumbing emergency. Had to call multiple times to find out if appointment was still on. They performed limited diagnosis on what actually caused a clog in the sewer line and recommended a necessary and very expensive fix. I had another company that troubleshooted the line more extensively, fixed it for free and recommended a more permanent fix for half of what roto rooter cost. Roto rooter also failed to include their camera services which was included in the emergency services clog offering. They are there 24/7 but I would hesitate to use them again for anything.

The guy who showed up couldn’t get the cap to my sewer line open. They told me that they could send another plumber out to see if they could get the cap off, but if he couldn’t, then I would be charged another $75 service fee, so they ended up charging me $130 extra because they had to remove my toilet to clean out the drain that way. No other plumber has had any issues removing the cap.Then, their auger line came up my other toilet, causing it to break, so they had to replace my toilet, replacing it with a smaller, lower quality toilet that barely pushes the water down the drain when flushing.In the meantime, another plumber was called in to help the first guy.When I pointed out that the new toilet wasn’t flushing properly, the second guy proceeded to lecture me about how it’s normal for the new toilet technology to not flush as strongly, BTW my old toilet was only a year old.Then the kicker, they tell my that they don’t warranty their work, so if I have a another problem tomorrow, I will get charged another $537 to have it fixed.And all of this took SEVEN hours!.

We had a water pipe burst unexpectedly in the afternoon. They came out quickly and assessed the problem. They were able to give us an accurate assessment and repair the burst pipe in a few hrs.

Technicians called ahead and arrived as promised. They cleaned out the floor drain and then used a camera to check for additional problems. They were friendly, polite, courteous, knowledgeable, and easy to understand. Overall, a very good experience.

I had to call RotoRooter for an emergency leak in my basement. They dispatched a plumber named Marwan. He was exceptional. It was a Sunday afternoon but he arrived within 30 minutes. He quickly assessed the situation and explained how he would fix it, the amount of time it would take and the cost. As he was cleaning up he noticed separate/minor issue (small leak) that could have turned into a much bigger problem if it would've gone unaddressed. After speaking with him to understand my options, he quickly fixed the second issue. Overall, I was very pleased with Marwan and RotoRooter. I would highly recommend them for their professionalism and service.

I called Rotor Rooter to camera a clogged sewer line. They were able to quickly and exactly locate a crushed line150' down stream. I can now make the repair accurately and quickly. Chris (1727) and Ian (4304) were excellent in explaining the service and very professional in their performance.

Came in Sunday night around 9:30 to an awful aroma from our basement. Sewage back up and raw sewage filled lower bathroom and a portion of the basement. Called Roto Rooter and our Technician Chris was there in under a half an hour. Great service, Great guy. Was given a few options to try and repair the problem and advised of the cost up front before anything was done. About an hour later we were flowing good again! Our bathroom pipes froze and with temps not getting above freezing for more than a week we knew we would need professional help. Rotorooter was able to schedule an appointment quickly, coming out on New Years Day, and our technician arrived within the scheduled time, was friendly and courteous, and helped to fix our problem with no mess and very little time. He also was able to help identify where our pipes were likley freezing without having to cut into any walls and gave us some advice and tips that we could use to help prevent in the future. We hired Roto-Rooter to repair and replace our front yard drainage that had been crushed or clogged with roots. The service was delivered as promised. The people that did the work described what they were going to do, where they would do it and the damages that would occur as a result of their work (which we expected).The people were professional, courteous, worked with us to mark where the sprinkler system was damaged as a result of the work (which, again, was expected given the extensive amount of work involved), and worked very hard to complete the work within a day.However, there were 2 items that surprised us:1) We did not get a call informing us of when the service would be acheduled. We got a.call on the morning of the day when the services occurred informing us they were on their way to do the work. We had been told we would get a call before the actual date when the service would occur but this did not happen. Fortunately one of us was always going to be home during that day so it didn't matter. I had an issue this past weekend of the toilet backing up into a bathtub. I called Roto Rooter and they sent out Terrell within 2 hours and he had the drain opened within 30 minutes of being there. He was professional and understanding and answered all of my questions. The tools he used were up to date and the price was reasonable as well. Thank you Roto Rooter and Terrell for getting the house back to normal! I highly recommend Roto Rooter! Fantastic work.Thank you!UPDATE... two days later the issue reappeared...Due to heavy call volume they were unable to get to my house for 36 hours at which point they sent Andy out and he fixed it again. Then Braden ran a camera through the pipes. The camera was able to pin point the issue and gave us a better understanding of the real underlying problem. It will cost more to get it fixed ($8,500 vs the original $300) and was not the outcome i wanted. However, Roto Rooter did their job and was very helpful with the current issues and information to move forward.

Had them out 3 times in 5 days and each time they told me something different. They still have yet to camera the whole property which is part of their package deal when you have a drain unclogged. The cap on my stack clean out isn’t on properly and is leaking, the first two that took it off installed it properly where there were no issues but the third time the guy must of cross threaded it cause it is leaking. Customer service is awful, they shuffle you around to a handful of different managers. Awful experience, use a different company!

Roto-Rooter was able to get to my house the same day as I called (this was after other companies stood us up). They were professional and fixed the issue that afternoon. Great experience!

My plumber was Tommy (did not catch his last name) Tommy found my leak promptly and repaired it. He saw the damage the leak cause (flooded my basement ceiling) and he recommended Roto's water reclamation group for clean up drying out of my place. Approximately a half an hour later a representative from the Water Reclamation Group was at my house and he assessed the damage and wrote up an estimate and we called my insurance company got a claim number and got authorization to begin work. I was very pleased with prompt response by Roto Rooter personnel Tommy (plumber) & Jason Spenser (estimator). They were both good at their jobs and did a great job for me.

Matt was excellent to work with, honest, reasonable, straightforward, quick, trustworthy, great quality result, all within a few days of the first call. Highly recommend him and his team.

This would be a 4-star review if not for the excavation price. Every employee that we worked with was professional, cared, and did a great job. We initially called Roto-Rooter for a basement floor drain sewage backup. An auger technician was sent within two hours and he was not able to clear the backup. We were told a camera scoping would need to be done and had that done the following day. The scoping identified a barrier that wasn't able to be cleared and we were told we would need excavating and replacement of pipe. Since we had been without sewage use for two days , we were eager to get the issue fixed. The price we were given was around $8000 to replace a 10 foot piece of pipe. We asked to see an itemized breakdown of charges and we were told it couldn't be provided. When I later looked up the average cost for a replacement of a 10 foot sewage line, I felt sick. Google searches show that price should be $3000-$5000, I felt like I had been taken advantage of and I still do. I would recommend Roto-Rooter for plumbing and pipe clearing, but don't make the same mistake I did and go with them for excavating. Also, as much as they claim to be one company to deal with, every single division (plumbing, excavating, cleanup) are all separate. No one department knows what the other is doing or why they said what they did.

Brandon came out to run a line in our basement on a Sunday after calling at 9:30 in the morning the same day. He was courteous and friendly as well as extremely knowledgeable about the business. We have used another company in the past with less than stellar results and we are now considering switching to Roto-Rooter for all of our plumbing needs.

My main water shut off valve was leaking in basement and needed a plumber in Cincinnati fast. It was Saturday evening and I called Rotor Rooter. Within 3 hours the service tech ( Kevin Finley ) showed up. I found him to be very friendly and courteous. Above all he was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job. Thank you so much Kevin for an outstanding job!

Super quick response. I called at 7:45AM and the tech arrived at 9:55 AM. Did a major rebuild of the toilet, installed a new cut off for the toilet, and installed a new cartridge to repair a leaky faucet. Not the cheapest plumber company, but VERY professional and included a 1 year warranty on all work done. So, all in all' worth the cost.

Doesn’t show up on time to scheduled appointments and refuses to call ahead.

Called them on a Sunday for a sewage backup issue in my basement, and two techs came out. They got there in a timely manner and were nice enough, but they didn’t do a great job of explaining what was wrong with my pipe and what was needed to fix it, so I was pretty confused much of the time. The real problem though was that I ended up paying $500 for nothing but to have them snake my line, and then I felt kind of railroaded into signing a contract for the repair, at a whopping $16,000. They neglected to tell me that they had also had me sign a waiver forfeiting my right to cancel said contract, thus eliminating my ability to shop around or get other estimates. After getting other estimates I learned that the price was on the high end but comparable, however I felt really uncomfortable with being pressured into a high stakes sale with no thorough explanation of what I was signing. I managed to finagle my way out of the contract but I just don’t trust them to be honest and transparent with me and won’t be hiring them again.

Scheduled my appointment on a wednesday for that friday with my service time being 10 AM - 12 PM. That friday, I get no call for any reason and it gets to be 12 PM. Can't keep waiting and reschedule for that Saturday. At least got a call that they were going to be late. Comes to be around quarter after 12, call them to try and get an ETA and just get told I'll be called when the tech is on the way. Couldn't wait anymore so just decided to cancel. Never going to bother with these people, again.

Greg was amazing! He worked very hard to get our pipes unclogged... We had sewage backing up into our tub. Our home is older and it was tough but he stayed until the job was done. He was friendly and courteous. He made our boys laugh and giggle. We will definitely recommend them!

Russell did a wonderful job replacing our water pressure regulator. We called in the morning and were able to get an appointment that afternoon. He showed up in the window that was promised and was very professional. He explained what needed to be done and gave an estimate of how long it was going to take that was accurate. This isn't the first time that we have used Roto-Rooter, we have been happy with the service every time and would happily call Roto-Rooter again for our plumbing needs.

The service was effective and cost of the service given up front. The repair took a while, no fault of the technician, and the price did not change. The tech made sure the repair was complete and even educated me on some of my plumbing system. The work for clearing the drain also came with a 6 month guarantee. We will be using them in the future.

I had a had a leaking pipe under my sink the original owner of the house had rigged up and we had tried unsuccessfully to keep from leaking. Roto-rooter came the same day I messaged online to fix the plumbing in the way it should have been done originally. Quick, helpful, and informative. I called them to check out my sump pump because it hadn't been running in a long time (thankfully no water damage). They said they could come out the same night. Which was awesome. I had no idea it'd be that fast.Unfortunately my basement had to get excavated because the line was crushed. They showed me images and the actual video while they were checking the line to show me where things were crushed. It took them a couple of days to replace the crushed line and redo the cement. They had everything contained to keep the dust to a minimum.Glad I called them and will use them again in the future.

Cleared drain within an hour of arriving. The cost of the job was, in my opinion, too expensive for the amount of time involved. On this occasion we were pressed for time but next time I'll do a little more shopping around on price.

From the time I placed the call and a Service Technician arrived, my plumbing issue was resolved in less than three hours. The Service Tech, Tyler Whisman was friendly, competent, and efficient. This is our second time calling Roto-Rooter and I could not be more pleased with the results. Our first experience was the replacement of a failed water heater over a holiday weekend. Until we called Roto-Rooter, the best service date was three days and Roto-Rooter did it the day we called. Great service and, perhaps the most important aspect to most people, at both times it was done at a very competitive price. I recommend them highly.

Chris Browning was very helpful with quoting and facilitating the replacement of the main water line into our home.  He did his best to get the job done quickly.On the day the water line was replaced Kyle and Gazzie were great!  They worked hard, cared about keeping our home clean, and found a creative way to complete the project without damaging the interior of our home.  They were determined to get the our water back on before they left and stayed late to make that happen!  They were my heroes!To this point, I have found it a bit frustrating that no one can give me the whole picture.  At most steps along the way I have been told someone else would need to quote that price, scan that line, or connect the pipe.....Projects are  priced individually and as problems are uncovered there seems to be no consideration for the overall (very significant) investment made.  The price is the same as if each quote was a standalone quote, and not as an addition to the original pricing. When we agree to use Roto-Rooter for such an expensive, extensive job, and then smaller offshoots of that job come to light, and if they’re treated by the company as separate events from which the customer can be further bled, you’re not enhancing Roto-Rooter’s chances of doing future work with us or our neighbors, who will inevitably hear about our total experience with this project and the vendor.  In particular, the hourly rate we were charged for the Aug. 23 segment of the work, on top of the $7,000+ we committed to earlier, is indefensible, and we are openly inviting the company to address this situation.So, some of our review is enormously positive (primarily the speed with which Roto-Rooter responded and the scope of the expertise, combined with the friendliness and work ethic of the people dispatched to the job), but some is negative. A company simply has to understand the nature of the entire situation as it’s viewed and experienced by the customer, and organize its approach, policies and pricing accordingly. Otherwise, the message is clearly that the company is looking to simply take advantage of a customer at his most vulnerable time, and I doubt that’s the message you really want to convey.

After using 2 other plumbers which didn't come through at all, I called Roto-Rooter. Doug was so professional and explained everything in detail so I could understand the problems. While Joe Lays plumbing left me hanging (by the way I still haven't heard back from them and my problems began in June) they did not. I will never trust another plumbing company but Roto-Rooter. They were honest and immediately got the job done. Thank you so much!!!!!!

Harry came to take care of a list of plumbing problems that I needed addressed. He did an excellent job. He was knowledgeable and considerate. He took care of fixing the water flow problem with my toilet, installed my garbage disposal and sink strainer, then revised the pipes going to my water filter while he replaced the PRV. In addition he evaluated the issue that I was having with the water leaking behind my washer and dryer. I could not have asked for better service. Small business type of customer service from a large company is very rare these days. Mike was excellent, thorough, and the quality of his work was top notch. Also, I called for an appt less than 48 hours prior to their arrival, on the weekend. Hard to beat and I'll use them for all my plumbing needs in the future.

Had a clogged sewage main.Called Roto-Rooter and they came out even though it was 10pm. No emergency charge which is nice.The technician, Chris, did a great job. He was quick, thorough and cleaned up after himself. The water isn't backing up anymore and all is well.Prices are a little high, but he included a discount on top of the coupon I found online. Honestly, after having fussed with a rented industrial pipe snake I'd just as soon as pay the $250 again.

Excellent service. Tom (3482)was able to quickly fix my toilet issue which caused water damage in my basement. He called Ryan Harrison who was at my house within minutes to start the water mitigation process as well as help to file my insurance claim. I highly recommend them!

I wanted to take a second to recognize two men that deserve a service recognition with your company.Kris and Brian came out to our house on Monday 8/20 to install a new water heater in our cellar.We had serious flooding from the weekend rain prior. What was a typical service call for them turned into saving my life (eye!).I was taking our trash out to the end of our driveway, when I was struck by a bungee cord while trying to stretch it over the lid (to keep critters out, we live in the country).The back of the bungee cord slipped and I was struck in the eye, and left unconscious. When I finally woke on the cold garage floor and regained sight in the eye that wasn’t struck, I saw blood everywhere and knew I needed to be rushed to the hospital immediately.Kris and Brian heard me screaming for help and immediately rushed me to the emergency room in their vehicle and called my husband. They comforted me the entire drive and waited in the waiting room for a couple hours to make sure I was okay, after my family finally arrived.They then came back to our house, and called my husband to tell him the rain that came down that afternoon had reflooded our cellar. And that they were going to pump the cellar for us for no charge and come back the following morning to re-install the water heater and check on our family.These types of people don’t come around very often. I hope your company can give them an award or some sort of recognition, because I honestly don’t know what we would have done without them. Called Roto-Rooter on Montana to unclog a stopped up pipe. Initial snaking and camera was over $300. They were unable to solve our issue with the initial snaking and quoted $3,950 to clear our sewer drain pipe. We got a number of other estimates, all under $1,200. Went with Zins Plumbing who fixed it in an hour for $950. BUYER BEWARE! Make sure you get other quotes.

It was a tough job. Took 2 days. The line grabbed their snake and didn't want to let it go. It took three guys but they stayed with it and got the line cleared and working well.Thank you Roto Rooter and Jerry, Scott, and Leo.

You never really appreciate the everyday things like indoor plumbing until something goes wrong. Our kitchen sink clogged which also affected our washing machine and dishwasher. After a quick call to Roto Rooter, Tyler was dispatched to our house in the morning. He was up front about the cost and got right to work. Tyler worked non stop to unclog the pipe and also identified the source of the problem and helped fix that in the process. I would not hesitate to request him back at my home if future issues arise.

We had a bad valve in the pipe for our washing machine. Matt #2719 came out and fixed it right up for us. What a sweetheart! Such a nice guy, explained everything to us from beginning to end. Showed us the bad valve when he took it out, taught us a little about the plumbing. Very courteous, professional and polite, even hooked our washing machine back up after he was done.Our service was originally scheduled from 4-6pm, and he did show up late, but I know they get hung up at previous jobs, and I don't hold that against him. Maybe the company needs to schedule more time in for visits so then they don't get behind and that doesn't roll over to the next appointment and so on.Matt was wonderful and a joy to work with. From the initial phone call early in the morning, to the follow up status of the technician, to the actual service, every aspects of the experience was very professional. The technician even took the time to speak to me on the phone since I was at work. Update - After posting my initial review which was average, I got a call back from a manager. Mark was very helpful and interested in understanding why I was less than satisfied and made things right. He listened to me, and then offered to guarantee the line for the next 6months which helps since I felt pressured after the initial service to jump straight into the longterm expensive repair. Based on the follow-up, I would definitely work with Roto Rooter again and recommend them to my friends.We had back ups in our basement floor drain when there have been flood warnings, so we called Roto Rooter when it happened the second time. I call first on a Friday, but they gave me a four hour window on Saturday morning which I couldn't make, so got a two hour window on Monday instead since t wasn't a flood, just some standing water. On Monday, I got a call towards the end of the window saying they were running behind, and since I had plans later on, we rescheduled for Tuesday.On Tuesday, they called to let me know a tech would be there at the beginning of the window. John arrived on time, and we went downstairs to discuss the issue. It was really hard to understand my options since none of them had guarantees to find/fix the problem. I decided to go for the drain pipe camera inspection, which revealed that my pipes had standing water. He located a spot in the yard where the camera had gotten stuck, but couldn't tell why. All I got from that is that the pipes are 11' deep, so very expensive to dig up. John cleared the pipes enough that the water now was running. He also then used the longer blade. The final video revealed I still had some roots that I need to address. Thankfully, I talked to a manager at Roto Rooter (see update) later in the week who helped me understand what my options.

Brian arrived in the time frame identified by his office.He was very polite and answered all our questions.He performed the work in a short and productive time.He was very careful not to make a mess and cleaned up when he was finished.I would recommend Roto Rooted and Brian to our friends and neighbors.

Service man was pleasant and this rating is not based on him. The service I bought included a free camera scan with the main sewer line. I had to call multiple times over a week and all they kept saying was, “ it looks like it’s been voided/canceled.” Now, my drain is clogged again and had to call them to get it fixed. Not happy

Not happy that I needed all that work done, but am very pleased that it was done quickly and well. I had a back up of my main out to the sewer and RotoRooter was excellent in that they were able to come out virtually immediately to get the drain cleared! Then we went over the fix which was a spot repair. I was very happy that they were able to be in only a few days later to do the spot repair and de scaling services. I had Chris Smith with Roto-Rooter visually inspect all the pipes with video camera and he was able to locate exactly where the pipes ran and how deep they were under the finished floor in my basement. This is absolutely crucial to minimize the amount of work to refinish our basement. Chris did an awesome and was very helpful. $440 video camera fee was well worth every penny. Thank you!

When poo water starts raining down in your guest bathroom (and guests are arriving to stay over the weekend), it can be a stressful, confusing situtation. That's when you need Roto-Rooter! I called late one evening and immediately got the help I needed. They assessed the situation and promptly worked to resolve my rain issue. Not only were they able to help me in my unit, but also the source of the issue in another unit. The field supervisor also kept me calm during all of this mess for which I am very grateful. The entire process was explained to me beautifully and I was involved in each step along the way. Very pleased with the work, but really do hope I don't see them again under the same circumstances.

We had resin balls from our water softener clogging the faucets. Dave from Rotor-Rooter took EVERY faucet off and cleaned them and got water restored to our home! He worked quickly and was upfront and informative about the cost of each procedure. He really knew what he was doing and was a great choice for helping the trainee he had with him. Early morning on New Year’s Day we had a sewer backup in the basement of our newly built home. If they don’t show up within 24 hours, call someone else.I had Roto Rooter clean a clogged drain about four years ago. They showed up only a few hours after I called and unclogged the drain. So when the same drain was clogged again, I called them and was told they would show up later in the evening. They did not.I called them to re-schedule for the next day and once again they never showed up. Over the course of a few days I would get a new appointment time only to have them no-show. The people answering the phone couldn’t always get in touch with the dispatcher for some reason, so I could never tell if my appointment times were realistic.It may be worth mentioning that this happened in mid-January when they were supposedly very busy with frozen and burst pipes. That said, if they were overloaded and didn’t have the manpower to handle my job, they should have told me so instead of stringing me along.In the end I cancelled my request with Roto Rooter and found a plumber who made it out to my house an hour after I called and unclogged my drain. Most likely I will never try Roto Rooter again. Had they been honest about not being able to provide service, I would have considered them again.

The scheduling process went very smoothly. The girl I spoke with was very customer oriented and helpful!! (I think her name was Tina??) The property that needed service is owned by my son, who lives in NY, and he rents the property out. Tina? was very patient as I tried to set everything up with the tenants to be there.I gave her my credit card number and she assured me that they would call before fixing anything to give me an estimate.I received a call from the plumber. He asked if I had heard from the tenants yet and I said no and thought that was weird that he asked me that? Then he gave me the estimate to replace the hose bib... I told him to go ahead and replace it. He started laughing and said I already fixed it.... What?? I thought you were suppose to call first?I found him to be very unprofessional and I had an extremely hard time understanding what he was saying.What if the estimate would have been more than I could afford at this time?? He had already done the job.... would he then have to remove the new bib???

Basement drain was clogged and rainwater was accumulating in basement due to drain issue. Fast response and I called to schedule but at the time, had to make an appointment for the next morning. Supervisor arrived early moning and surveyed the problem. Crews came out and placed a dehumidifier and just before arriving, the clog eliminated itself so pumping was not needed. Dehumidifier dried basement floor. Next day, plumber came to auger the line. No obstructions were reported. Awaiting the person with the camera now to inspect the drain visually.

I decided against it because he said that once he cut a hole in the wall someone else would have to fix it. Plus, $1100 seemed exorbitant just to do said job without even fixing the wall afterwards. I got another quote for $350 from Home Advisor. The knob was put on backwards and now has to be turned in the other direction. The plumber was a really nice guy.

We called because of a sewage back-up problem in our basement. Out-of-town family were arriving for a visit within 2 hours. Ryan was very professional and took time to go over a lot of things and to give tips to helping out with certain things. He even made sure to run the auger through a few times instead of once and then leaving. Only issue we seem to be having now is getting the scope done, but I get being busy.

Kitchen sink clogged. Called at 7:30am, got scheduled for a 2 hour window between noon and 2 (I requested afternoon). I got a call at 1:30 that they were a bit behind but would send the first available technician. He arrived at 3 and was finished by 3:30. No complaints! Technician was friendly, courteous and answered all my questions.

It took me 3 days to a technician to come out. I had to call 3 times to get appointment because the technician canceled appointment. When someone finally came out he explained what he the thought was wrong and he explained what steps needed to be done to complete the repairI would have rated them higher however having to keep call regarding my appointment is what me lower my rating

I had a water leak this morning and call roto rotter for service. Travis (one of their technician) came within the promised time window and identify the problem. It was a leaking toilet! He explained to me what need to be done and how much it cost up front. He was very professional clean and pleasant. I am satisfied and will use them again.

Can't say enough about how great Brandon Poe (#1535) was. Called at 6 PM on a Sunday and he was in our house within the hour to fix a blocked drain in our basement that caused a nasty back up. Was super professional and very quick to get the problem fixed. We'll be using Roto-Rooter again if we have any future plumbing needs!

Harry and Mike were fantastic. Very professional and friendly, they worked extremely hard to complete the job. A third plumber came out the next day to send a camera down the clean out. He was also great, very knowledgeable and friendly. They all explain every step and provided excellent service.

Andy was very knowledgeable and helpful. He helped me get our driveway drain open and gave lots of good suggestions of how we could unclog it and make sure it was draining properly.

I had a clogged drain in my sink and trying to repair it I broke a pipe. I called a couple of plumbers who told me that they might have to cut a hole in my wall. I then called Roto-Rooter and when they arrived I mentioned about cutting a whole in my wall. The assured me that was not necessary that they could get it unclogged. Well it took some time but they got the leak fixed and repaired the pipe. Both technicians one was Chuck were very professional and answered all my questions. Once they were done they gave me step by step instructions on had to use their maintenance kit. They also replaced my drain which was no longer usable. I highly recommend Roto-Rooter for all plumbing needs. BTW as mentioned I called some local plumbers and one of them was more concerned about selling me plumbing insurance than my talking about my problem. The repair cost was actually lower than I anticipated. Very Happy

On Dec 10th 2013 we used Roto-Rooter Plumbers for a sump pump problem. Technician Kevin responded and was courteous, friendly and extremely efficient. He recognized that the problem was a simple solution that he could fix easily without parts or replacing the entire pump at a much higher cost. In a matter of 5 minutes the issue was resolved and he also helped me locate a coupon to use for the service. He was professional and customer oriented, which seems rarer these days. Definitely happy with the experience!

Jarod was very courteous and knowledgeable. Went about his business replacing the garbage disposal. He cleaned up as he went - even cleaned up the mess left when the old disposer failed. Best of all, he mentioned a $40 coupon to complete the task! Will definitely remember to call Roto-Rooter for our next unexpected issue.

They did a great job of taking care of backup in my house: the only issue was I asked for a time between 3-6 and they didn’t show up until 730. However once there they did the job!

The service technician Karl came to our home and was incredibly helpful. He helped us locate the problem quickly and was very thorough with his work. We discovered that we have tree roots growing into our pipes. He led us to the next steps we would have to take to fix the issue. Since we have a small child at home it is incredibly important that our plumbing is in good working order. He achieved a temporary fix within an hour so we could continue to care for our daughter until we could solve the larger issue. We are incredibly pleased with the service and care we received from Karl. We will definitely be using Roto-Rooter again in the future.

Roto-Rooter was able to come out the same day that we called to fix our issue. They were very mindful of our child and when the appointment was going to be at the later end of our window they called to make sure it was still ok to come. They then were able to move our appointment earlier to help us out so we could get our little one to bed. Our tech was Tyler, #2092, and he was great.

Andy was outstanding very friendly. He is a very good people person. His work was tremendous. He showed us and explained everything before he did the work. I can not say enough good things about him. I am very pleased with the service. When ever I need a plumber in Cincinnati OH. I will always call and ask for Andy to fix it.

After this week, we're never using Roto-Rooter again. They've been postponing us all week and wouldn't return my calls today. I finally got fed up and called a local business. They came out about two hours later when they finished the job they were on. Basically told us Roto ripped us off in January and we're massively overpaying for the installation they did and to never call them again. The local business would have charged us literally an eighth of what we're currently paying.

I had a major plumbing issue late at night on Saturday which flooded part of my living room and bathroom. I immediately called my local plumber who was honest and told me I'd probably get a better rate with roto rooter for what I needed done. My main line from my house to the street was clogged and he said roto rooter deals with this all the time and would be my best rate... I called their 24 hour call center and the person scheduled an appointing for first thing Sunday morning which surprisingly was a regular business day and there wasn't extra fees like most places would charge. I was surprised they could get someone so quick on short notice. They called 30 minutes ahead and asked some questions to come prepared for the issue. They showed up, looked at everything and gave us a free quote and said we could go with them or we didn't have to and there was no charge for the quote. The quote was good, and the work was performed successfully, and courteously, they even took our coupon we found off of the bill. I feel their service fee was fair and a great value. I would recommend them to anyone and plan on using them for any future plumbing needs.

Steve (#2037) came to our rescue and fixed a huge leak we had coming in to main in basement. He was nice, personable and very professional. He fixed leak fast and efficiently, quicker than what even he estimated. And most of all he was HONEST! He completely cleaned up after himself. Our wall where leak was had absorbed great amount of water. He gave us suggestion of Roto Rooter to come out and evaluate water amount/damage - which they did same day! End result of his work was clean and honestly looked better than what was in the wall to start with! Very happy with service. Would recommend and use Roto Rooter again thanks to Steve!Later that same day, Chuck (#3794) came to evaluate water absorption/damage. He also was very personable, friendly, and professional. And also very honest. He gave us honest feedback and solved our problem. Great, great service all in one day!

Needed plumber for clog in main drain that was causing sewer backup. I placed call around 11:00 pm on a Saturday. Roto-Rooter was at the house in approximately 40 minutes. The plumber was very efficient, got the drain unclogged and the cost was reasonable. I would definitely call on them again.

We got back from our honeymoon and found a flooded basement.We ran out to buy a small pump, but the water was still up above our ankles. Roto rooter came quickly and took care of my problem

On a Saturday we had a leaking pipe under our kitchen sink. They came out in a timely fashion, and repaired the leak as well as installed a new faucet. The plumber was great. My only issue was them sending out a supervisor an hour ahead of time to try to sell me remediation services. And the price for the repair seemed high to me, but I was willing to pay the premium in order to get the job done quickly.

We had trouble with the drain in our basement floor backing up. Chris came out from Roto-Rooter and explained what the possible problems could be. He explained the billing to me and did not pressure me to make a decision. I decided to have him clean out the sewer drain from our house to the street, which he did. He was very polite, knowledgeable and eager to help. He got some mud on the basement carpet stairs while bringing his machine down and he promptly cleaned it. I was very happy with the service he provided. Hopefully our drain problems are fixed.

1/27/2014 A pipe burst in our basement yesterday and although the handi men in my family tried to fix it, they found that they could not. I called roto-rooter @about 4:45 am and they got me scheduled for 8 am. They called before they came and also gave me the name of the technician who would be coming into my house. I thought that was great. Dave Denton was right on time and was very cordial while he listened to my story. I showed him the problem and he was up front about the cost of labor and parts. To my delight he was finished in about 15-20 minutes!!! I couldn't be happier. Next time I have a plumbing issue I will not hesitate to call again. Never had to use a plumber before and after seeing water coming down through the ceiling from the upstairs toilet I was thinking the worse. After the technician arrived and did a little looking he was sure it was a clogged line and that it was originating from the basement area and not the second floor bathroom. He gave me a couple options of where he could go in at with the drain snake the only difference in the two options was one was one was a little more expensive than the other and chosing the other could cause a little mess in the basement floor, which to me was fine since there was a drain in the floor and the floor is concrete and I could easily wash it down that drain. After about 1 and 1/2 hour the drain was cleared and everything was good and with little mess. I was surprised at what came out of that drain. I would highly recommend Roto Rooter to anyone, the technician that came to my house knew what he was talking about and knew exactly where the clog was originating from. He gave me upfront price of what it would cost and never once tried to sell me a service I did not need. And the best of all was there was no service charge for them to come out and just to look to see what was going on, even on a Saturday night. Thanks again Roto Rooter

Tub was backing up on and off for 2 months. Drain cleaner helped at first, but progressively got worse. Roto Rooter sent someone out within 1.5 hrs and SHE was awesome! She was genius on problem solving the issue of my striped screw that was blocking where she needed to clear. She was super knowledgeable and explained everything very well. If i ever need services in the future i will be calling Roto Rooter.

On Saturday my kitchen drain clogged up and I spent Sunday trying to clear the clog with no success. Monday morning I called Roto-Rooter and explained the situation and that I was at work, so I would like to schedule for an evening appointment. I received a few calls from dispatch later in the afternoon to let me know they had a tech available. I made arrangements for a tech to meet me when I arrived home. He explained what was the most probable cause for the clog and what he was going to do to fix it. Matt also explained why what I had tried the day before didn't work. We called Roto-Rooter late after needing our washer’s waterline looked at. We were quickly seen by someone to observe the issues before sending one of there licensed professionals out. We were unable to get it serviced that night. However, their service team was quick and efficient to follow up via phone about when a technician could arrive. On the evening 6/29/2018 we experienced a severe backup in the kitchen sink. Rotorooter was called and responded at approx. 11:45pm. Paul P. #4105 was the Technician who responded. I was very grateful for RR to be able to perform same day service, as my issue was an pressing. They had a technician out within 2 hours which was exceptional. Overall I am happy that the work was done the same day, but the end result was not the greatest quality (althought it did technically fix the issue). The work ended up being more difficult than the tech expected and I feel like that is the reason the end result was not great. There was no caulk applied to the area between the new shower handle and the wall meet (there was a decent gap where water could get in) and the worst part was the fact that the new faucet was about 2-3 inches away from the wall with no caulk, just a large gaping hole where water could get behind the wall. I was gone already, but my mom asked if water could get in there and the tech responded not really. Overall again, I am grateful, but I am disappointed that they skipped a crucial part of finishing the repair.

I called late on a Sunday night and the service tech made it out about 90 minutes later. I tried to fix the problem myself, but could not get the leak to stop. Zack Wilkins was great. He explained to me what I did not complete and fixed the leak and stayed about 20 minutes to make sure the toilet did not leak. Thanks for the speedy service.

We discovered in the evening hours on a Sunday that our kitchen sink was backing up, not only into the sink, but into the dish washer as well. We are new home owners and this was our first situation as such! We contacted Roto-Rooter at 10:00 pm after failed attempts at unclogging the blockage ourselves. They were in and out by 11:30 that night and we were back up and running! What was even more exciting is that if it happens again in the next 6 months we are covered. We had a stopped up kitchen drain, the last thing that I wanted to deal with on a day where nothing seemed to be going right. I called Roto-Rooter and they gave me a 4 hour window. The Technician, Zach Wilkins (0181), showed up in 2 hours. Zach was professional, friendly and definitely knew his job. It wasn't an easy fix but Zach worked until everything was running smooth again. Zach also cleaned up and left everything the way he found it (except for the drain, thank goodness). I know nothing about plumbing but I liked that Zach explained everything he was doing. I will be telling all my family and friends that if they have any plumbing and drain problems that they should call Roto-Rooter. Thank you again Zach.

We had an issue with our basement floor drain. We had 4 plumbers come before Anthony with Roto Rooter. The first 4 spent about 5-10 minutes and couldn’t fix the problem. Anthony was kind and efficient. He explained the problem and fixed it after about an hour or more of diligent work. My daughter said it best “finally we found the right guy!”

Mike was great! I first called around 1 PM. By 2, someone came out to assess the issue, by 4, a team was here to fix it, and by 7 they were done! Excellent service and we appreciate the 6-month warranty.

August came out and presented himself well. Explained what he was going to do and made sure we were comfortable and understood everything before he did it. During the process, he was very approachable and explained what we were seeing on the camera as he was working. As he finished up, he made sure everything was cleaned, but still recommended certain cleaning products just in case. He explained our bill and what all of the charges were. After a brief discussion about the pros and cons, We came up with a plan. He was off ordering parts and had the whole job completed within 48 hours.This is the 3rd time I have used this company and will not hesitate to use them again in the future, as well as, recommend them to friends in need.

The service technician was very professional and helpful. They were able to replace a faucet cartridge which was old and dripping.Unfortunately, their call center team is a little too rushed. They call to provide awareness of the technician being on their way; however, they are so quick with it I could barely understand what they were saying.

Highly recommend these guys! Had a backed up main line. Placed a call late afternoon on Sunday, and they were there in just a couple of hours. The technician (Nick) was great. He snaked the drain until the clog was completely gone. Super professional and courteous. Called Roto Rooter and got a serviceman to look at my water heater in a little over an hour! Needed some upgrades but job quote stood once completed. Kris (4970) and Brian (4755) did a thorough job. Waited 2 days before doing the review in case of leaks - there were none. Well done!

We called Roto-Rooter late one evening and they were able to come out the next day to replace our sump pump. We had a 4 hour window and they arrived about 3 hours in. I called that morning and due to the amount of rain, were expecting the tail end of our window. The sump pump was replaced quickly with a high quality sump pump. I felt the price was high, but considering we'd been through 2 sump pumps purchased from a hardware store that each lasted less than 3 years, I was looking to get a better quality sump pump for peace of mind. We used the online coupon. They knew we were in a hurry to leave for an appointment and finished up quickly so we could be on our way.

I used this company in the past and I was pleased but apparently their reliability has decreased significantly. I called yesterday for a technician and was given a time window and after waiting around received a call from them telling me they are running behind and could not give me any estimate of when they might arrive. Not wanting to wait around some more I rescheduled for today and was given another 2 hour time window. I made sure I was home from work and waited around again and they called me telling me they were running late again. I decided to wait for them but a half hour after their time window expired they called me again and told me there were no longer any technicians available today and I'd have to reschedule again. This was a complete waste of my time and very unprofessional and inefficient on their part. I'm done with them if this is how they treat their customers now. Thanks for wasting my time Roto-Rooter.

Our service tech, Evan, was very professional and explained every detail to us as he performed the required service. He explained the cost, both the estimate and what it could be based on his knowledge of this type of service. He was able to unclog our drain quickly with minimal interruption to us. Roto-Rooter is now our emergency plumber for off-hours work.

We had another plumbing company out around 4:30 p.m. and by 5 p.m. they informed us they didn’t have the capability to handle the problem. They recommended us to call Roto-Rooter. When we called they gave us a time estimate of 8 p.m. Andrew (3312) arrived at 7:15 and was a pleasure from the moment he walked in. He greeted the dogs, asked where the problem was and addressed us and the problem with the best outgoing personality. The problem was very difficult but he was diligent and kept at it until it was resolved.

We had a major plumbing issue on a Sunday night. Roto Rooter sent out a plumber after hours to fix our issue. It turned out we had bigger problems than what we thought but Roto Rooter stayed on the job until the were finished. They gave us step by step updates on what was going on and what exactly they were doing. We had the same plumber throughout the entire job, which made it really nice because he explained things to me in a manner I could understand. The job that we had to have done was very messy and smelly but they cleaned up the mess and got rid of the smell before they left. I was very pleased with the job they did, even though it was more than we anticipated to spend, they did a fantastic job, and I would highly recommend them.

Needed some preventative drain cleaning and I didn't know I had a problem until late last night. I was able to schedule an appointment late at night online for today, super convenient. Jared was nice, professional, and did a great job. Thanks for keeping everything flowing as intended.

Chris Browning came to our house yesterday and was tremendous. Extremely professional and friendly, he was very concerned with our problem and did a great job getting us the information we needed. I will never call any company besides Roto-Rooter for drainage needs.

We had a drain backup and flooding at our church, during a rainstorm. Roto Rooter came out within 2 hours and cleared the blockage. The technician was great. He identified the problem and took his equipment to our sub-basement. The blockage was quickly cleared and we were able to resume our activities.

Although expensive, Tommy did not quit trying on our kitchen sink back up. Took him over 2 hours to snake and swab our line to get it clean.

Harry was fantastic. He quickly located the source of a leak causing damage to our wood floors. Harry even took the time to work around our floors for fear of causing them any further damage. He really went the extra mile to help us out!

Had leaky outdoor faucet, originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon but Roto Rooter couldn't send anyone over, wish dispatcher called me before hand to let me know first. But after rescheduled, Tom came over Sunday morning on time. The work took longer than expected but overall result was good. Nice guy.

I made my appointment online and within 2 hours, Russell was here. Very nice and within 20 minutes the clog was no more. I was quite surprised by the cost, 415.00! I had a coupon for 75.00 off but the price was still 340.00. Very expensive in my opinion.

I had an excellent experience with Roto Rooter on 09/12/2016 and 09/14/2016. My technician was Russell Moore, #2072. He was very honest with me and gave me several options. I know from past experience that Roto Rooter's cost was not any higher than another company's cost. Russell was sent out the day that I called Roto Rooter. Another company said it would be at least a week. Since this was an emergency, I could not wait a week! I will definitely use Roto Rooter again!!

I had where my shower wasn’t draining fast over the last few days, then my toilet started doing the same. I called Roto-Rooter at about 11:30 and had someone come out by 2. The plumber, Jared, was incredibly professional and talked me through what he thought was going on and the solution. My house has older pipes and he was able to have them completely cleared out by the time he left. My bathroom is now back to being functional and I feel confident that I won’t have any problems. I know I’ll definitely call Roto-Rooter if I ever need them again in the future.

Michael and TJ did an excellent job cleaning my basement after it flooded. They came everyday throughout the project to ensure me and my 16 month son were safe and breathing quality air in our home. I especially appreciate the extra effort they took to get up my floor tiles that were over zealously installed with industrial strength glue! Would definitely recommend Roto Rooter and will use them in the future!

It cost $415.00 dollars to auger the main drainpipe. before they started I showed the technician that the sump pump was clogged up and was pumping water into the basement. The washer was also draining into the basement. and it still is. After they left I plugged in the sump it was still plugged up. the sent another technician. He said it would cost $400.00 to unclog a 24 pipe that went into the main drain. I said it should have been addressed the first time. After all that has been done we still have the same condition.

We smelled gas near our water heater and thought we should have it looked at right away. We called Roto-Rooter at 5 pm and they were able to send someone within 2 hours. Bradley showed up and performed his diagnostic tests and determined I had a very small leak in one of the pipes leading into the gas water heater. He was able to quickly fix the issue at a very reasonable price. Bradley did a great job explaining the problem and the process and was very professional and nice. Overpriced con-artist. Over charged us by $Thousands. Spent 7 days mitigating one 2x4'. Charged us days of mitigation when all we had to do was cut out one 2'x4. Billed us $5600 to fix drain in basement floor, added another $5600 to fix another pipe 12-18 inches away. Sales man receipt for second $5600 actually said up-sell. I'm disputing $712 out of $16,500. Stay away!

Contacted team and Leslie showed up in less than 30 minutes. She was very professional, was very clear about what was was and was not doing, gave constant updates on what steps she was taking and shared some good pointers. She gave relevant next steps and share future issues that should be addressed. I did not feel pressured and thought service was great.

I have had a very positive experience with Roto-Rooter on multiple occasions now. The first time my house had a plumbing issue, I called Apollo and they didn't fix it, but still charged me. Roto-Rooter fixed the slow drain and I have stuck with them ever since.

Roto-Rooter is actually the second plumber I called for my problem today, but for now on, they will be my first call.Saturday 9/13 we had a large birthday party and midway through the day we noticed water in the basement. Initially we suspected a problem with our AC unit since it had a clog in the drain line a month ago, it was a hot day, the unit was running and the doors were constantly left open. However we quickly ruled it out. Next we suspected out hot water heater since it is also in the same area. We turned it off, drained it, and quickly ruled it out as well. Next thing we know after our six year old’s shower he flushed the toilet and water, paper, and other unholy ‘yuck’ started coming up from the floor drain!! Ewwww!!I called (shame on me) another company who told us they would be out today 9/14 between 10-2 only to not show up and then proceed to tell us our appointment was for Monday. We work and have appointments Monday so we wouldn’t have been able to accept this time on the phone if it had been said originally. I called Roto-Rooter, and only mentioned the clog, never my no show/schedule screw up problem and they instantly offered a 2 hr window. I got a call not even 10 minutes later that they were 30 minutes away. Day saved!!Aaron had a battle on his hands because he couldn’t find the problem at first, but water kept backing up every time he’d have us flush a toilet. He was here a solid 2-2.5 hours and finally found the culprit, a paper towel!They gave us advice for clean up (don’t use bleach use vinegar), a 6 month warranty, and were kind, professional and efficient. I will make Roto-Rooter my FIRST call next time. (No offense guys, but I really hope there isn’t a next time 🙂)

Water Heater issues.On January 3rd, in the morning, we noticed our water heater wasn't heating anymore and I was unable to get the pilot light lit. I was unable to clear the error and I knew it would require a technician for repair. My fear was that since it was Friday we might not be able to get service until the next week.I made the call to Roto Rooter around 9:00AM and was pleasantly surprise that they could get here on the same day.After the technician looked over the problem we decided the best fix would be a new water heater. I was again pleasantly surprised that Tyler was going to be coming back next morning and get it replaced. He spent all the time necessary to make sure we were up and running on Saturday and within just two days we went from a major problem to completed fixed up and running.Great job Tyler!!

12/20/2013 - Toilet was backing up into the shower drain. Called Roto-Rooter in the morning and they were out within 2hrs to fix the problem. The service technician was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He did some diagnostic work and told me what needed to be done to fix the problem and quoted a price. He went to work and fixed the problem. Great experience. I would not hesitate to call them again.

Technician, Matt #2719, arrived on time and was able to troubleshoot the issue with my leaking toilet immediately. The job was complete within 30 minutes with an new fill valve installed.. the last time I tried to do this it took me about 4 hrs and it never got fixed correctly. Good thing it wasn't my toilet that time. My toilet used to be heard throughout the entire house.. now I can barely hear it flush when I am standing next to it. Excellent service!

With all the heavy rain my driveway drain got backed up causing water to enter my house. Josh (4619) was sent was very knowledgable and efficient. He did a great job fast and answered all my questions. He went above and beyond in cleaning out my outside drain and gave me tips on how to prevent future issues.

I usually have good service from Roto-Rooter, but this time they did not come anywhere close to the promised time, which kept changing. Eventually I asked them to come the next day instead. Once they arrived, they cleaned out my drain to the street quickly, but broke the cleanout. We were told someone would be out to repair it, but when I checked back two days later after not hearing anything, there was no record of the problem.

I was very pleased with the recent service Roto-Rooter performed at my home. Chris (1727) and Chris (2192) were able to come to my home the same day I called for an appointment, even though my request for an estimate was not an urgent one. They were very professional and thoroughly explained things to me. They performed a video inspection of my pipes and ruled out any major issues and recommended hydrojetting. I've scheduled this follow up service for tomorrow, which is convenient to have such quick service despite this not being an urgent issue.

I received exceptional service from Jordan. He came out at 11pm to a hard to find home in the dark and fixed our plumbing issues. He explained everything thoroughly and made sure i understodd what all was included in price. Will definitely be a repeat customer.

Came through in the clutch. I had tried everything I could possibly think of to open up my kitchen drain line. The tech, Kris, was extremely helpful, quick and diligent. We had a basement floor drain that was backing up with water. I called Rotor-Rooter and they were quick to get someone to my home. They sent Nick Schultz to help us out and he was amazing. Was able to diagnose the problem within 5 minutes. He then addressed the problem and provided us with preventative maintence advice for the future. We will be recommending Nick and Rotor-Rooter to our friends and families for future plumbing needs!!

I just got back from a tour with my band. We traveled all over North America and Canada for a little over a month. After playing shows every day and not getting to shower or use the restroom like a normal person, the last thing I wanted was to find out that as soon as got home my basement drain was blocked and I could not use the toilet or shower without it coming back up into my laundry room. I called Roto-Rooter as soon as I woke up and promptly sent Zach Wilkins who arrived on time, greeted me politely with a smile and was professional and personable the whole time. Zach was careful bringing the plumbing snake machine in my home. He was able to remove the blockage only a few feet after he had started running the machine. Most people would say well, I fixed the problem, sign here but Zach stayed and ran the snake as far as possible to make sure there were no other issues even after we had the water running in the utility tub for several minutes and it was clear that the clog was removed. He left me with great information on how to avoid the blockage from happening again and went above and beyond to make sure there were no other issues. My Plumber Dan Came in and unclogged my drain I. Bathroom sink I had another plumber last week wanted to tear my wall up to replace a pipe I'm not boo boo the fool so my old neighbor works for roto rooter so I called them up I'm glad I did...

The whole process was overwhelming and felt like a cash grab. We had a clogged drain, called to have someone come out and unclog it. Only 1 of the 5 people that came out actually had a snake and auger and was able to work on the drain. The cleanup was scoped much larger than necessary, wanted $1,500 right away, only to find out we had to pay the plumber another $400 separately and the person that ran the camera down the drain the next morning seemed upset that nothing under the ground was broken, but still tried to make us feel like we have to spend another $1,400 to get our line sprayed out. Overall it felt like a well rehearsed high pressure sales pitch. I called other plumbers afterwards, when time wasn’t an issue, and they told me to ignore the advice and add on work. I was happy with the plumber getting our pipe unclogged, and was ok paying the $400 for emergency work, but the rest made me feel taken advantage of.

Our service tech arrived on a Friday night to our flip house during our time window and had our problem diagnosed and repaired within about 20 minutes. Not only was he professional and courteous, but very knowledgeable. We will definitely call Roto Rooter again!

The plumber was friendly and helpful. However I was still charged $311.00 for a drain pipe that was not unclogged due to broken pipe. I believe that Roto- Rooters' pricing system is very unfair. Roto-Rooter charges the same amount whether the job takes 20 minutes or 6 hours. That causes the people who have a small job to pay more to compensate for the customers who have a larger job. I feel that money was stolen from me , since my drain still does not work.

This was my third and will be my last service request from Roto Rooter. I used them previously at a different residence wiith satisfactory results. I recently moved to a new home and had a dripping faucet in the main bathroom. The technician, Tommy, came to check out the dripping faucet and apparently wasn't told of the 3 faucet installations which were also scheduled. The charge for installing was an outrageous price of over $1,000. Over $300 per hour! At the close of installation when the 3 faucets were checked, 2 of the sinks were not draining. The water sat and the technician actually asked me if I had any drain opener to pour in the slow moving drains!! What??! Drainage was not even a slight issue until AFTER his install! I asked Tommy if I was now expected to call another plumber. He begrudgingly made an adjustment to the two sink stoppers which corrected the problem.The total lack of professionalism and commitment to quality service is beyond disappointing. This technician represented the entire Roto-Rooter company but didn't seem to care.

Service manager came out and ran the camera out the main. I've been having trouble because of the main pipe out to our septic tank has a narrowing that any solid gets clogged up at that narrowing. The manager that came out said we needed descaling the main. He said it would be $5200. I had another company out just 2 weeks ago and they gave me a bid of $750. So I called Schlueter plumbing do the job and they did a great job. They gave me a copy of the camera after they were finished. It looks great. Even though Rotor rooter was here really fast I would not have them ever again. They tried to rip us off.

I called the morning of and they showed up within the next 2 hours. Quick. Responsive. Very understanding.

I've had nothing but great experiences with Roto-Rooter. Inevitably, every time we've needed service it's been Sunday evening. The Roto-Rooter staff were fantastic, both on the phone while scheduling service, as well as the plumbers who came to make repairs. Everyone was very kind, knowledgeable, and excellent at their job. I definitely recommend!

The plumber arrived just after 8am. He checked the plumbing problem. Unfortunately we had a bad toilet leak and our bill was high. But I do have to admit Tyler worked very hard to get our toilet working correctly again. He did a great job.

I called and they was out really fast. First the supervisor (Mark Haley) came out to assess the problem. Very nice and professional. Then he had Curtis (2642) come out. He was here within an hour. Got the job done very fast. I had at least 6 inches of water in my basement now it is gone. Thank God. Thank you Curtis and Mark for all your help and a job well done.

Matt (2719) came in and was extremely friendly and courteous of the house. He made sure I was pleased with the job before leaving and explained what I can do to help keep my drains free of clogging. Matt took the time to reconfigure my old kitchen drain and made sure there were no leaks. Before leaving, Matt made sure that the drain was running properly and put extra glue in my pipes to make sure there would not be any leaks.

Just had Mitch come out from roto rooter to clear roots from my main line that was causing the entire house to backup. He cleared the roots in just over an hour. He kept going until the job was done. The roots fought him hard but his determination and skill delivered a victory. I want to thank Tommy and roto rooter for the professionalism and speed.

These guys are amazing! Was having issues with draining (not the usual drain problem) and had called a plumbing company to come out and take a look. One said they needed to replace all the piping (PBC) and the project would be $3K - $4K, another company, that was referred by our home warranty said they needed to install clean-outs (which coincidentally is not covered by home warranty and is already installed) and snake the pipes, which would be a $1.7K job.I decided to call Roto-Rooter, and within 45 mins, a guy was at my place and said that there was no need for all of that. He sent for a tech (Mike) who was absolutely phenomenal and great. Less than $400 later, both my bathrooms were running perfectly again!

I worked with John today and he was fantastic! He helped identify the problem, come up with an affordable repair, and fix the problem promptly. He was very knowledgeable about his craft and was able to explain everything to me easily.

Recommended unnecessary repairs that may have been for more insurance money. Required a third party asbestos test with a recommended business but claimed it was their first time using them. Didn't say it was on the home own to set up until the very end of the day, putting it another day behind. Once contacting this asbestos business they said they had a fair amount of jobs from roto last year that they were having trouble getting paid for. They had t confirm payment with insurance before proceeding. While waiting for their confirmation Roto went back to try and bypass the test. Also Roto said that insurance covered it based our our policy even though we sat down to read through it and it wasn't 100% clear. They pressed a little to proceed claiming it was.Would not recommend. Felt more like a press for money.

Roto-Rooter Plumbers/2125 Montana Ave. Cincinnati, Ohio / Date of Service: 7/21/2013. This is the second time I've used Roto Rooter Cincinnati and once again, I was very pleased! We discovered an overflowing sink in our basement about 10:00pm on a Sunday night. Didn't want to wait until morning because I had no way of preventing it from overflowing (which it had already done a few times within the hour). I called Roto-Rooter, and they sent a technician to my house within 15 minutes! On a Sunday night! Our technician was Rob1978. He was very friendly, professional, and respectful. After listening to my description of the problem, he was able to assess the problem quickly and got to work. In a little over an hour, the problem was resolved. He was very careful to ensure that everything was satisfactory before leaving. He was mindful of his surroundings and thoroughly cleaned up after himself. Had I contacted a regular 9-5 plumbing company, I probably would have been charged twice as much. I am a happy customer and I will use them again in the future (but hopefully, I won't have to)!

Our down spout and dump pump drainage pipe was clogged up. We called Roto Rooter and they came out in a couple of hours to check it out. The tech made sure to check the pipe for clogs by fishing the auger from both ends. He was courteous, professional and made sure the work was done to fully resolve issue.

My technician who came to the house was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we had to try several things until we found the root cause of the problem, which ended up costing me more and taking quite some time, but ultimately we got the problem fixed. I also appreciated that after he learned that one problem persisted after his first visit, he called me directly a couple hours after his shift was over to discuss the problem and discuss logistics for his follow up. 4 stars for the tech - would be 5 if we had diagnosed the root problem before other costly repairs were performed.Less impressive were the customer service representatives working the phones. While I acknowledge they were very busy due to inclement weather, I had one individual who stated he put in a follow up order and would have someone out the same night. An hour later I called again to confirm and was told that none of this had happened. The next customer service representative was unhelpful and somewhat combative. She talked over me during several parts of the conversation and refused to answer a simple customer service question. I would give them 2 stars because I am giving the benefit of the doubt due to the weather and high volume. If I had been treated that way without that caveat, I would say 1 star for them.So over all, an average experience, hence three stars over all.

The fellows that showed up to help our with our issues. Where very informative and helpful, really polite, positive and gave really good advice on what to use and not use for any clogs . Also gave me advice on what i need to fix with my sink in my garage very helpful. When they preformed there work and checking the drainage they was very spot on with there performance and told me what they was doing during the process and did very good work.If i have any other issues id use them again definitely good work . Following my back yard filling with water after heavy rains, I called Roto-Rooter to schedule an augering of my yard drain piping. Got the day and time I requested. Got the 30 minute pre-call and a very friendly tech showed up. He answered every question, helped me understand the options for what could be done and had the job completed in about 45 minutes. Pleasantly took the $ off coupon I presented, said there would be a 30 day guarantee for no pipe blockage and was on his way. Very professional, pleasant and seemingly knowledgeable; neither rushed the job nor wasted any time. Compared to other plumbing jobs I have had done in the Cincinnati area, the price was better than average. Only four stars because we will need to how things go with future rains.

Had excellent service when working with Roto-Rooter. I called about 9:30 in the a.m. about a leaking thermal expansion tank. They said they could get someone out within 4 hours if i was available. 10-15 minutes after the call, they called to say the plumber would be at our house in 30 min. Steve act 1188 came over checked the thermal expansion tank and advised that it needed replaced because the rubber was probably shot. He left for about 30-45 min. or so to get supplies and a tank at their supply shop. Came over took the old tank off. The bladder on the tank was melted inside the tank and was barely letting water out when he tried to drain it.The new one was replaced and looked like more like a professional install. Steve also gave pointers on how to maintain our old hot water heater and also some other services Roto-Rooter offer. If i ever run into any plumbing issues I would probably recommend using Steve again.Total time for a thermal expansion tank replacement 3 hours from calling to setup the appointment to complete installation and cleanup.

I just had a late night emergency visit from Roto Rooter and with 4 kids I was grateful to see Harry come to the rescue so quickly. I am not sure I have ever written a review before, however, Harry is worth it! He had us back in business in less than hour. He was friendly and straightforward about the price. Mack was our serviceman and he was very friendly & helpful. He was clear about what he would do and what the cost would be. He completed the work in about 30 minutes (unplugged our kitchen sink drain line). He cleaned up after himself and was gone in a short time.

Guy was great. Courteous, prompt, just nice all around. No issues there.But $346 for less than 15 minutes of work. All he did was to send the snake down the line, from the point he in, he couldn’t have gone more than 10-12 feet max.Again, top notch service but prices can be exorbitant.Will never even consider using them again.

Leslie, was great but wasn’t very transparent with pricing I didn’t have a good idea of what the price was until “after” the work was completed which is a bit strange it was only some plumbing for my kitchen sink and installing a whole house filtration system which I bought she just had to install it but overall I’m happy with the experience she brought and work she performed! Just a bit too expensive for the work that was done!

Northern KY Area - service out of Montana Avenue in Cincinnati.I've been dealing with a clogged shower drain and clogged kitchen sink for weeks. tried every type of drain cleaner and household remedy possible.I tried to save a buck and called a local plumber who arrived with a handheld 'snake'. Not only did he NOT solve the problem, but he left the work area a wreck!I came to my senses and called Roto-Rooter. After some scheduling issues, Justin arrives. Justin was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. Timely service on a Holiday. August was the tech who came to our house and he was great. Friendly and very informative. Gave an estimate before any work and made sure the job was done. He got our drain flowing without problems. He was efficient and explained every step and answered all my questions. I could not have asked for a better tech or service.

I write on my lot drainage problems in wet, greater Cincinnati. I needed a plumber to clear blockages so I called Roto-Rooter. The Montana Avenue shop came to my rescue. While the news wasn't good, Rob, the tech who did the work, quickly identified the blockage on one of my lot drains and and fully explained what to do. On the other, he was able to clear three blockage points but explained there was a high probability of collapse at each spot and that the line would need to be replaced at some point soon. No surprise, but well worth the information. Rob was pleasant, thorough, professional and efficient with his time and mine. We will have the digging crew out to complete the repairs. Our experience with Roto-Rooter began somewhat miserably as two employees misdiagnosed our problem. When a third employee visited us after we figured out what the problem was, he completely turned our experience into a positive one and went above and beyond to make sure that we were completely satisfied with the work done. All three employees were professional and courteous while they were at our house. Outside of one phone call where I felt a little disrespected (trying to state that the issue wouldn't be covered under the warranty of what we already paid for a few days prior), I can say that I was overall pleased in dealing with Roto-Rooter.

We've called Roto Rooter twice within the last year with issues we needed fixed asap. They were able to send someone out almost immediately. Zach W. was our technician both times and when he came the second time he asked how our issue was that we had the first time he came out. I love that he remembered and followed up with us to make sure everything was still running smoothly. He does great work and is very friendly and answered all my questions I had while he was fixing our sink and pipes. I would definitely recommend them!

Tech. cleared pipe as requested. Did not receive quote as required by Ohio law . They had my primary contact # to give quote. They performed repair. then they requested signature after service was performed by person I had there to qualify as over 18. They charged over double of other company's for same service. I work in service industry and would not ever perform service without approval from primary contact. Will never use there service again and do not recommend them.

Our plumber arrived within the estimated window of time and got right to looking for the problem. He was friendly and willing to take the time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions. The main problem we called him for ended up being out of his scope, but he got us on our way to the next steps and set up the Water Restoration to come examine the damage. Overall a good experience.

We had the roots flushed out of our drain. The gentlemen were kind and on time. When they left though, the mess left behind was unbelievable. Dirt was all over the floor and splashed onto the appliances in the basement, the floors were covered in mud and there was a trail of dirt to the front door.

I had a nasty clog and Caleb was quite the trooper at getting it out. It was particularly stubborn and took a long time which made me grateful for their flat rate. They even sent out an additional plumber to verify that the pipes were draining properly the next day. Matt, #2719, was also excellent.Both plumbers were professional and courteous, no complaints. We only use Roto Rooter for our plumbing issues. Though they may be a little more pricey than others, there is typically a coupon online that you can use. This morning we called at 9:15 and they were to our house within 45 minutes. They had our bathtub drain cleared within 30 minutes. They are always prompt and polite and get the job done quickly. We are very grateful for their service. Michael was an outstanding service technician.

I had the worst service ever and will never forget. I had a leaking toilet in my basement. The toilet was leaking from the base. A technician came to fix it but did something else and soon after he left it was still leaking. I called and another person came and was going to charge me again for something I already paid for. I explained to no avail. They stood me up all of Tuesday the next day and nobody showed up. I called the next day and even spoke to the manager who was not able tohelp. All they care about it's the money and not think about others. Wasted $200 and I wish I can have my money back or my leak be fixed because it's not fair.

After a massive amount of rain my basement had 3 of standing water. I could have called a 3rd rate plumber and hoped they had the right equipment to do the job or I call the company that is headquartered here in Cincinnati and has been around for almost a 100 years. I made the right call. they showed up the next day. Ben and Chad listened to my situation, reviewed what I showed them, made a decision and had the drain cleaned out in about 20 minutes. I called on Tuesday afternoon and they were able to come the next morning. They called and came within promised time. Got a quote before the work was started and they honored the quote even though it cost a bit more. Work was done quickly and efficiently. Definitely will use Roto-Rooter again. I would have given five stars as a review except for one issue. After the technician left, I noticed a leak. I immediately called back. The same technician returned. The leak was from a rubber boot that I had removed the previous day. I assumed that they would have tightened it or checked to make sure that it was tight so that there were no leaks. He was upset with me for not fixing it myself since it reflected badly on him. I figured for the rather high price I paid that there would be no leaks for me to fix. The work that he did was great and he was professional before the callback but I didn't appreciate his shaming me when he returned. I will likely never use the service again due to this.

Scott went above and beyond to complete the work we needed. He worked hard to save us any money he could and was very thorough. We often debate about using a local plumber, but Roto-Rooter has never let us down. You are able to get an appointment readily and they do excellent work.

It was a routine job, but he was enthusiastic about the service he provided, and when he completed the work he left the area cleaned up and everything was working fine. He provided me with estimates on some other plumbing needs (pipe replacement & water heater) and when I am able to afford it I will be calling Roto-Rooter again.

We had a floor drain backed up in our basement and called Roto-Rooter on a Sunday to see if we could schedule an in-home estimate. The technician was courteous, provided the estimated time of arrival, and sent an email confirmation detailing the appointment. Zach Wilkins (0181) arrived and proved that friendly customer service does still exist! We decided to go ahead and use Roto-Rooter's service due to Zach's professionalism and honesty. He was very informative in not only assessing the situation, but also explaining every step of the process. We had a pleasant experience with Roto-Rooter when we needed assistance with our master shower. Our technician was thorough, explained everything he was doing, and was upfront with cost. He had originally thought he’d have to do a much larger repair (hiring a contractor to assist) but, was able to fix the issue properly, and efficiently, at minimal cost, saving is nearly $1000. We will continue to use Roto-Rooter for future plumbing needs (though, hopefully nothing else comes up ). :)

Andrew (3312) was absolutely wonderful! Came in a very prompt time frame from my call, was very professional and helped my husband and myself understand what our problem was. Although he himself was unable to fix it (we needed a bigger machine that he was not yet certified to use) he made sure everything was set up for the next day and that we were taken care of. Very professional and courteous!

Technician replaced the heating element for $600 but not the thermostats at the time of repair. My water heater still does not work. He wanted to charge me an additional $450 to replace the two thermostats which costs less than $40. I feel this was just an attempt to get more money out of me. All of the repairable parts should have been done with the initial visit. To make matters worse, he stated if I bought a new water heater on my own at $1000, he would install it for $900 on top of the $600 I’ve already paid. This is poor customer service. I will never use Roto Rooter again or recommend this company.

My tech 1109 Louis came to my home as a on call guy because Roto Rooter was extremely busy the weekend I needed them. Louis was awesome and gave me an estimate & although this was routine for him he explained exactly what he was going to do and fixed all of my clogged drains. He was professional and wore booties so not to track dirt in my home and I am happy. Thanks.

Service rep was professional, informative, he made good use of his time and cleaned up what he was able to… The other cleaned up is going to happen after the floor dries up a bit. His supervisor with the camera is on his way now, within 15 minutes or so. The only thing that threw me curveball was the overall price. The tech (SHAWN #27-2839) was outstanding. He was polite, very neat, and performed the repair very quickly. The 5 star rating is for him, NOT the company.I was given a 2 hour window for someone to come out. After the window expired and no one had bothered to call, I called Roto-Rooter. The first person spent about 6-8 minutes without success and then said that he would transfer me to another person. This individual was mumbling and I couldn't understand her. I had to ask three times what she was saying. She finally said, Someone would be there when they're available. I asked for an estimated time and she became very flippant, saying that she didn't know . Thankfully, Shawn saved the day and helped to untarnish the company's reputation.

We needed a pipe replaced and really appreciated the easy online scheduling and the quick confirmation after we requested an appointment (which we did on a Sunday). We got a call Monday morning letting us know when our plumber would arrive. He was on time, professional, followed CDC safety guidelines, and was very experienced in fixing our problem. We couldn't have been more pleased with the experience.

I am a single female homeowner who doesn't have a clue on the process of dealing with back up/water issues and many companies were giving me the runaround! Russell (2072) arrived within the window of time promised by the dispatcher and did an excellent job tracking down the source of the blockage in our set tub. It was not a simple or easy task, but he knocked it out in a couple of hours, and did a great job of cleaning up the mess before leaving. Based on this and other prior experiences with RotoRooter, we would not hesitate to recommend them.

The maintenance service man, Michael, was able to unclog two drains, in my house, which went to the main line. Very satisfied with his work ethic and determination to clean out the clogged drains. He made sure I understood what procedures he was using. He made sure he cleaned up after he was finished.

Our expansion tank on the intake pipe to the water heater blew off. I requested service from Roto-Rooter online Sunday night for 8 AM to 10 AM Monday morning. We received a phone call during that time that a plumber was coming. The service was timely, the work was very well done, and the plumber was very personable. We now have hot water and the expansion tank was placed vertically and well braced eliminating any chance of the tank coming off again. He also put a new flush valve on a toilet which periodically would not turn off. Overall the plumbing experience was excellent. I didn't give it 5 stars because the bill seemed high. The plumber had to go to Lowe's to buy the expansion tank rather than having one in the truck. The price of both the tank and the flush valve seemed inflated when researched on the internet. I'm always amazed by the hourly rate of a plumber.

Leslie did a great job. I had a main drain that was clogged and had called a couple of different places on Saturday. One didn't show up and the other said they didn't have any appointments available. Roto-Rooter said they would be out in a few hours. They kept me updated when their person would get there. I had a very difficult clog and Leslie never gave up on it until it was cleared.

David S. (Tech# 2380) did an outstanding job. He was in and out very quickly and quietly. I had conference calls going on the 2nd level and he was able to get the job done with no interruptions. Great job. Overall I feel Roto Rooter is a bit pricey, however they always get to my house same day and are very efficient so I'm happy to pay a bit extra as my time and energy is worth more than the few dollars I may save going with a cheaper company.

I requested a whole house inspection and had the Roto-Rooter technician arrive at a convenient time for me: Saturday morning. I told Josh about a couple of specific plumbing issues I was experiencing and he gave me estimates of the costs. Our clogged shower was an easy fix that took 5 minutes to clear. The main sewage line we had backed up was a larger job. Unfortunately, the blade could not get more than 50 feet due to a blockage, but Josh reassured me that someone from his team would follow up with a camera to scope out the blockage. The video inspection was included in the cost estimate. Once the block is identified, someone would come back out to assist with the necessary clearing. Overall, Josh was courteous, professional and personable.

Excellent Service. Mr. Jones called to give us advanced warning when he would arrive, covered his shoes to avoid dragging dirt into the home, communicated the costs clearly, and completed the work promptly. He was very courteous and informative. I am very happy with the service.

Terrible experience. Incredibly pushy salesman shows up to your house unannounced to pressure you into using their service. I had sewage in my basement. I needed it cleaned out ASAP. The ONLY reason I went with them was because he guaranteed they can get me on the schedule tomorrow, I sign his paperwork and he takes off. The next day he was unresponsive to texts and calls. Finally by the late afternoon I ended up canceling and calling Dry-Effect to come take care of the sanitary emergency. They were out same day. Roto-rooter made me burn an entire vacation day waiting around for them to not show up. This is the first negative review I have ever been inspired to write, will never try to use their service again.

Horrible customer service! Specifically Ashley Ford in the office. First they over charged my elderly disabled aunt by $1,184.60. She is a stroke victim so I guess they see her as an easy target. Luckily our insurance co was able to correct their mistake, after much back and forth. We did not get a revised invoice from them until 3/31/21, we are working with insurance to get everyone paid, and have been in constant contact with Roto rooter/Mrs Ford with updates from insurance. She has called harassing my family for payment stating that the balance is 90 days overdue. As mentioned we did not receive the correct invoice until 3/31. In fact the delay on their end to correct their invoice is what has slowed down the claim payment. There is absolutely no reason for a company to allow their employees to treat customers this way. I am in the insurance business, and will tell all of my clients to never call roto rooter. When we asked to speak to a manager she disconnected the call. I do not recommend! If you need a good restoration company I recommend Brock, Rainbow, or Icon!

Needed a reputable plumber for leaking pipes in the basement. Made the call to Roto-Rooter and they had a plumber out in less than six hours. They took care of the job at a reasonable price. My plumbing service from this point on. Great job-David!

Water Heater went out around 7:30 in the evening and i made several urgent calls for repair after hours, as I had guests in from out of town and wanted to make their stay pleasant. Roto Rooter called within 20 minutes and Josh the tech arrived about 40 minutes after that (one company finally called back 2 hours later, the other never even responded). Josh explained the work that would be done, and we arrived at an agreed amount for the job. Outstanding work by Josh, took special care and pride in his work. Hot water for my guests in the morning! I will definitely use Roto Rooter again for any plumbing needs, and so should you.

Ron Bear (#4699) did a great job clearing tree roots out of my main sewage line. He was a complete professional, courteously explaining every step of the process. Ron had his work cut out for him because my 80+ year old house has a very narrow door and steps to the basement. He had to disassemble his large rig to take it down in pieces, then reassemble it to do the work -- then reverse the process to haul it back up the steps. Very hard physical labor, but he took it all in stride. Ron was very efficient with the paperwork, and facilitated the scheduling for my follow-up appointment for the video inspection included in the service call. It gives me great peace of mind to have had such an experienced person on my job. Thanks, Ron!

The technician that came out was very personable! He was knowledgeable and patient. He took the time to listen to our barrage of problems, editing the work order to reflect our actual problem as opposed to what he had been told, which would have cost us more. He gave us info & tips on what to & not do to avoid the same problem. He then made sure multiple times, that the system was clear before he finally signed off.

I called Rotor Rooter at 9:22 on a Saturday night. Our main line was backed up. Harry Green came about an hour later. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. He fixed the problem. I really didn't expect to get such good service at such a late hour on the weekend. I am very satisfied and would not hesitate to call and ask for Harry again.

Horrible service!! This company prays on the elderly. Never fixed the initial problem of clogged pipe. Had to have a second plumber come out who solved the problem in less than 30 min. Lied about the restoration services they provided. Stat ed they had FANS in the in home for several days when there was a only one fan there for 24-36 hours which was completely unnecessary in the first place. She had all of the water cleaned up before they ever arrived. All of this was turned into her insurance and she was left with an 8500 dollar bill to pay after with absolutely nothing repaired. Attempting to resolve this issue with anyone at Roto Rooter was a joke. Was very saddened to see my 87 year old mother taken advantage of this way..

On a Saturday we had a bathroom drain problem, called Rotorooter for a service call, the tech. Russell Moore arrive timely, checked out the job, priced it and started right to work. wasted no time. He was neat and clean, worked very efficiently, was finished, cleaned up the job, very neatly and, finished in a very professional manner. Not our first, probably not our last visit.

I had already worked with Roto Rooter on some water mitigation, which included running a camera down a drain line to identify if the drain was clear or clogged. Then I used their jetting services to try to unclog the drain, and we found the drain line to be collapsed beyond where the first clog was located. I needed to repair and replace the drain line. I worked with Chris B (tech # 2192), a field supervisor, to discuss the options and what it would mean for my yard, which would require excavating. Chris spent a few hours with me at my residence to walk through the options. He explained things clearly and was brutally honest with me about what would happen and how they would leave the yard after the work was completed. He was patient, calm, and gave me all the time I needed to feel comfortable with the procedure. I get the sense that Chris is a high integrity man, who you can trust. He was compassionate and understanding, and helped me feel better that Roto-Rooter would do a quality job. I very much recommend working with Chris B if you get the opportunity - he is fair, straight-forward and will tell you what you need to hear, not what you necessarily want to hear. I was impressed working with him, and would do it again if needed. He is a good representative for the company.

Because Roto-Rooter replaced my previous sump pump less than 5 years ago. When this new technician arrived, he was somewhat incredulous about how the sump pump was installed and went on-and-on about how it never should have been installed as it was. When he was finished and asked who had done the work, I said, “Roto-Rooter”. After a somewhat awkward moment of silence, he apologized for the work done by the previous technician. He then proceeded to install the same brand of sump pump installed by the previous technician. So I will plan to replace this sump pump within the next 5 years, since that is reportedly the expected life span. Unfortunately, I am not an expert on sump pumps, so now I am going to start researching.Overall, the experience was fine. The workmanship by Thomas was excellent. He was professional and courteous. I like that he used solid, glued PVC joints instead of clamps. I recognize it being tricky for him working within the allotted physical space and I appreciated his attention to detail. But overall, I’m left wondering why the previous technician was so much different...and why I will need to replace this sump pump within 5 years when my first sump pump lasted over 10.

We had a line freeze and crack at 4 o’clock in the afternoon on a Friday. By 7:30 the pipe was removed and by 8:00 the job was complete. The technician was kind and courteous, making a frustrating situation a little less stressful.

This is the 2nd time I've used roto-rooter for plumbing type work. They are up front with their pricing and fair. Noah did a great job, he repaired my garbage disposal, found and repaired a leak under my kitchen sink, and repaired low water pressure in my half bath.

Late night call due to a clog in the main sewer line with sewage backing up into the house. Harry arrived within the hour and begun work immediately. The work was thorough and successful. Harry was friendly and knowledgeable. Expectations were clearly set both over the phone with customer service and on site by the technician. After discussing the job with the technician the tech was able to quote me an estimated price and he explained what was covered and what conceivably would be additional if necessary.I authorized the job and the tech went to work. He explained the options I had to achieve my desired outcome.He cleaned up the area when finished and checked to make sure the job was completed to my satisfaction. All my drains were clogged up needed someone fast showed up a few hours later worked on it for about 4 hours had blockage almost 100 ft out.. cleaned up mess ,he was very polite to very knowledgeable of the services and prices I was going to be charged. Definitely recommend there services.

Had a terrible smell of sewage coming from washer drain pipe. Service man put in a p-trap and it solved the issue. I called and they sent the guy within about 2 hours. I was very happy with same day, super fast service. Man was very polite and professional. Price was very reasonable. From now on Roto-Rooter will be my go to company for any plumbing service I may need.

I came back to edit my review after my experience but my positive remarks about tech Andrew stay valid. David Remenowsky, who helped start the flood remediation process, explained the process and on average it takes 3-5 days depending on the damage. We agreed on a quote $2500-$3500. He said Roto-Rooter will come in with Air-Movers/Dehumidifiers and apply antimicrobials to ensure the elimination of mold and bacteria. David said since the water hardly touched my baseboards, I am lucky they do not have to remove any drywall. They can drill holes behind the baseboards and that most of the baseboards would be salvageable and would cover up any holes they made. This process, and no more, is listed on my contract along with the estimated start date of 6/23/19 (David said they would start no later than Tuesday 6/25/19) and an estimated completion date of 6/28/19. I got a hold of Roto-Rooter on 6/25/19 since this was the day they said they would set up at the latest. They collected a sample to test for asbestos so they know if/how to move forward. They setup their equipment and after another phone call on 6/27/19. I cut them some slack since we did just have extreme rain. I wait 5 days and get a call from a tech, Robert, who wants to check on the equipment. He said everything is fine; I asked for a completion update. A few more days go by and I cannot get a hold of anyone. Finally I got a hold of Robert and I asked him what the holdup was on 7/8/19. He informed me they are still waiting on my asbestos results. This was alarming since they already hooked up the air-movers and dehumidifiers. They did not say not to go into the basement which could be potentially harmful to my family and me if there are airborne asbestos particles due to exposure from the flood combined with their air-movers. Robert told me he was going to contact his supervisors, Anthony Jordan(Project Manager) and Mark Haley(General Manager). He told them to give me a call and gave me with their info. 7/9/19 I spoke with the secretary of their office who told Anthony was coming out for another sample collection. They had lost my original asbestos sample. The whole process should have been completed 10 days ago and now they have lost my sample. I met with Anthony on 7/11/19. He was ready to get the process started (again) but I requested we meet before continuing. He was polite and apologized for the loss of my original sample. I asked for a new estimate of completion date. He started to break down the process of what they still had to do and went into detail about tearing out my drywall. I corrected him and pulled my contract out which mentioned nothing of the sort. He informed me that my flooding is considered a Cat 3 which requires the drywall to be removed. I referred to my contract and showed no mention of this and explained what David said. He said David should have never said that. He was also raising the quote due to drywall needing to be removed. He could not do anything to rectify the situation sent me to Mark. He explained to Mark the situation. Mark did not even have a hint of an apology. He said David was wrong and I have to do it a different way. He said he will discuss with Anthony what they can do for me and get back to me in the morning. No call. I called and left a VM for Mark that afternoon. No response. 7/13/19 I called again, I said I was tired of being jerked around, that I want all of their things out of my house and that I am done with their services and I will be reporting them to the BBB. He responded Why mam, we did nothing wrong. Having a delayed start, having their devices in my house (total of 17 days on my electric bill), the inconvenience of having no washer/dryer, changing my work schedule around their nonsense, calling multiple people multiple times before getting a response (if any), having a false contact, losing my asbestos sample, and dealing with supervisors who have no customer service skills are just a handful of what they did wrong. I am absolutely appalled with how my case was handled.

Roto-rooter responded to our call and were at our home within an hour. Our serviceman was named Will who was knowledgeable and friendly. He cleaned out our floor drain and checked everything thoroughly. He even helped my wife look for a discount coupon. Highly recommended.

I gave Roto-Rooter four stars because of scheduling. I waited two days after my original appointment for the technician to arrive. The technician would have received 5 stars. Zach Wilkins (0181) was professional and answered all questions thoroughly. He gave the impression that he cared and wanted to do a great job. I thought he was successful. Time will tell.

Within a couple of hours of my reporting a complete blockage of our sewer drain, the Roto-Rooter technician arrived to resolve the problem and get our house back to normal. Greg was excellent! He was friendly, efficient and would be welcomed back into our home should the need arise.

I had a leaking water pipe in my basement and it was almost catastrophic. Steve (Technician No. 1188) arrived within 45 minutes and fixed the problem. It was an extensive pepair that required replacement of leaking copper pipe. He had to go to the store for parts and it still only took him about an hour. He was extremely friendly and the final cost was about $100.00 less than the original estimate. It cost $360.00 and was money well spent. Thank you Steve for your professionalism.

Simply awful and overpriced.First of all, they cannot give you an estimate over the phone even on the most basic job, but ok. I needed a camera inspection of my sewage line as it was backing up, called and scheduled an appointment. The representative said that one of the crew members will call me before arrival and give me an estimate for the job, never happened. The person who came was able to stick the camera only 15 feet down the line as there were roots, charged me $300, and when to his car to give me an estimate on the job that needed to be done, came back with an estimate of $5500 and a list of jobs that needed to be done such as: floor drain replacement, hydrojetting the sewage line and installing another access to the line. I decided to get a second opinion, and as it turned out, my floor drain was fine, and there was no need for installing second access. So I ended up solving all the issues with hydrojetting for $600. When I called roto-rooter to obtain video footage they told me, I would need to wait a week, I called two more times and still never got it. By the way, the guys who did hydrojetting provided me with a copy of video footage right on the site. So, to sum it up, roto-rooter is an overpriced and unprofessional, would never recommend them to anyone.

Phase one of their work has been handled very thoroughly as they removed tree roots from our water drain pipe. They were very courteous and clearly concerned with doing an excellent job. Stage two is to replace the pipes and I have confidence they will do an equally great job on that when they make their return trip!

My wife and I were looking over our old laundry room and discussing ideas. She mentioned that we'll have to get someone to unhook the washing machine, and I had the audacity to think, well, if I can shut off the water, how hard could it be?Apparently that shut-off valve had not been moved in 10 years and the moment I moved it it began to leak.It was a Sunday and our regular plumbing guy was not available. Luckily Roto-rooter was there and came within 15 minutes of the time window they stated.Though buying a brand-new shut-off valve wasn't what we had planned for, it's what was in the cards that day. The technician, Russell, was very pleasant and after looking at the situation briefly explained exactly what was needed.I appreciated his straight-forward manner and telling like it was.I'm happy to say that our leaking is a thing of the past, Russell did excellent and thorough work, and we'll call on Roto-rooter in just a Sunday fix again.

Arrived on time. Discovered the issue. Gave me an estimate and proceeded to fix the problem. We had water damage from the overflow in our basement and James recommended Roto Rooter's Water Mitigation department. Paul responded within 1 hour and took me through the steps for filing an insurance claim and how to cleanup the mess. The technician, Chuck, arrived the next morning and cleaned everything up. 5 days later, they called asking to setup another time to come check on the drying process. I was very satisfied with the communication, knowledge and experience of the technicians, and the fine work that they did! Highly recommend!!!!

I was fortunate that the repair worked with the things he tried first because they were the least risky for my old plumbing in my house. We had a problem this week with a clogged drain in our basement. After calling our home warranty company, we waited for a plumber of their choice to come clear our drain. When the plumber arrived we were told that this was not a covered service through our home warranty and that we specifically needed to call Roto-Rooter. Within 3 hours of contacting Roto-Rooter, they were at our house. They were incredibly understanding of our situation, extremely professional and helpful, and very timely. The supervisor spent at least a half hour on the phone with both my wife and I while his tech was working on our drain. Neither the tech or the supervisor were bothered by the multitude of questions that we had, or the number of repetitive questions!! Based on the severity of our issue, we will be seeing them again tomorrow. We could not be more pleased with their customer service!!!!! Mike came out to do the service I needed. He was on time and very professional. Every thing was explained and Mike even answered a couple questions I had about some other plumbing concerns. Mike is a great representative of Roto Footer and if I ever need them again I will request him.

In our rental property sewage slow draining issue came-up, called Roto-Rooter and they came with in hours. Diagnosed it as some tree roots were blocking flow in the drain pipes. They cut and cleared them. It was sign of relief.This person who came on today (Mon May/15/2023) is really friendly, knowledgeable, explained things and took care very well.I definitely recommend Roto-Rooter as dependable service provider.

He was great came in got straight to worked walked me through what he would be doing and was very respectful.

The drain-clearing technicians were fine and responsive and are the only reason the review was this high. The clean up team less so. They needed to return 3 days later because the clog was not completely cleared. The first drain-clearing visit included clean up, the second did not. Communications by the clean up team was very poor including showing up unannounced for sign off. Their work was adequate.

The first guy was on the rush did the wrong pipe. The second guy came and did the right pipe and was a lot more understanding on why we were upset about the first guy. We let management know what was going on and they took care of us pretty well oh no a pretty good company to go with.

David came out to install a new sink in our kitchen. He was incredibly professional the entire time and took the time to explain some of the things he was seeing in our existing plumbing and answer any questions I had. He completed the job in the estimated time frame and cleaned everything up after he was finished. The sink looks great! I would definitely call Roto-Rooter again and request David.

I had a small leak in between the walls and the foundation in my basement. I could hear the the water spraying out of the ruptured pipe. It was late and I wasn't sure I could fix it. I called Roto-Rooter and they sent over Russell M. He was great. It was about 1:30 AM and he was on his game. He quickly identified where the leak was and explained what he would have to do and provided me with an estimate. He was done in a flash and now we are dry again. Great service and great job!

Plumber did a fantastic job...took care of the issue, verified it completion, a very professional experience.The low rating is due to the scheduling issue. I had scheduled an appointment for between 1400-1600, the technician didn't arrive until about 2130. I scheduled the time advised above, as I have to get up for work at 0300 in the morning...I needed this done when it was scheduled, not 5 hours after. Who has 7 hours to sit around and wait for someone to provide a service at their convenience? Every time I called, we were advised, You are next...and the technician was held up at the previous job...If I ever use your services again, it would be purely based on how well your technician did and our experience with him. I'll just have to make sure I have ALL DAY to sit around and wait......Follow-up email sent at 12.01.21 @ 0854 EST as requested - Awaiting responseReceived a follow up call at 0859 from a very nice lady, apologizing for the issues, and promising to follow up with their local dispatch team to prevent this from happening in the future. I have increased the star rating to 3...although it was a very poor experience due to the timing issues, they actually seem to care about customer service...albeit after the fact, it is something they advised that they were addressing.

Matt was excellent. He came in assessed the problem and gave me a quote. He accepted the $40 coupon I had to help with the cost. He got right to work and got the job done. He was polite, professional, and informative. However, the problem is the rotor-rooter told me that my appointment time would be between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm. Then called back and said that the previous appointments had run a little longer than expected. That would have taken it up to 3:00 pm. They did not send Matt until 6:00 pm. That made me need to hang around the house all day when I had several other things that I needed to do as that was my only day off this week. Therefore, I was not thrilled with the way rotor-rooter handled their piece of this service.

Roto-Rooter did a great job replacing our malfunctioning sump pump on a Friday evening. Their customer service kept us updated on when a technician would be available. Then Matt #2179 showed us what was wrong with the previous sump pump and the benefits of the new sump pump. We had suffered with a slow-draining basement tub for a LONG time.. Finally got around to calling Rotorooter for help. Matt (#2719) came smiling and ready to help. It was a mess- as clogs can be- but he explained everything before he did any work as well as gave updates as he worked. This is my second time going through them for pipe repair. The first time was fine, and our pipes were fixed well. Today we had someone come out for a small leak. It seemed fine at first, and we had plans to attend to, so we left without thought. Unfortunately, we came home to a small flood in our closet which went through the subfloor and into our basement. Not sure why the work wasn’t done properly but when I called to get an emergency repair out to our house, they were unable to get anyone to fix my it until the following morning. Doesn’t make sense to have 24/7 repair, but cannot help out someone who was calling for an emergency repair that was caused by the company themselves. Not sure if I will go through them again.

The technician who came out was very polite. He quoted me before doing any work and fixed the clogged drain I have been dealing with for months. The reason I gave four stars was because of the price($390) to snake a drain, and because of the call center that I dealt with. The technician did his job well and I have no complaints with him. They were obviously swamped with frozen pipes but never called to make me aware that a technician wasn't going to make it after waiting two hours past the appointed time. Finally I got a hold of them again to reschedule the following day and again no call no show. Finally the day after (third day) they called to let me know my technician was en route at 9pm !! Like I said their tech was great but the call center needs work. Busy or not you shouldn't leave customers hanging.Thanks Brian!

I placed a call for a drain unblock and had excellent service. We had a sewer backup on Labor Day and Roto Rooter was able to get someone out to assess and fix the problem within a couple hours. They then sent someone out the same day for a clean up service, even though it was later in the evening. Their responsiveness, knowledge, and friendliness was top notch.

Pretty disappointed with our most recent experience. I called on a Tuesday night for a clogged toilet (after hours even though they say they are 24 hours). Was told no one could come out until the next day. The guy comes out Wednesday when he was supposed. He was very helpful and explained what was going on. Apparently he needed to call his supervisor to come take a look. They could not clear the issue and said they would need to tear into the flooring and wall for at least $6,000+.We told them we wanted to think about it. We were advised to call the supervisor to set up the appointment and the earliest they had to start work was Friday. Soon after they left we found that any time we turned on any water in our house the toilet would overflow and spill. We called the supervisor to see what to do and to schedule the appointment - NO answer and No return call ever. We found a new company that was able to fix the issue without tearing up the floor and walls and then today, 10 days later I sent a text message to review their services...yeah never again with them.

We called Roto Rooter this morning and within the hour someone was here to auger our basement drain. He was very capable and handled our situation very quickly. Unfortunately we are still waiting for someone to get here for the water restoration part that we have already paid for- that was promised same day.

Very impressed with the service! The service they provide matches the slightly higher than average cost. They are open 24/7, the first tech couldn’t fix the issue so he didn’t charge me anything, they sent out another tech and he started by trying the cheapest fix, going through the different options to fix the toilet cheaply for a few hours before he ultimately decided that I needed a new toilet. He bought the toilet and installed right away, and I was only charged for the toilet and install. He communicated really well via text and call, and was very professional, and worked with our unique situation really well - it was unique because this is an AirBnB and we had guests checking in, and we couldn’t be there while he did it. The cost was $723, which is more than I wanted to pay. I would hope for a cost closer to $400-$500, but this was an emergency situation and Roto rooter is the only plumber open on the weekend, and they came same day. I would use them again in any emergency situation!

Called in at 7:30pm with a blocked line and they were there at 8am the next morning to take care of it.

I had water back up in my basement. Roto Rooter was at my house within an two hours of my phone call.James was not able to unclog my system but he reviewed the issues and they will return to my house tomorrow to fix the problem. James was professional, informative and helpful. I hope that the rest of the job goes as smoothly.

They will come out quickly and do a half azz inspection and try and sell you a big expensive overpriced job. If you don’t have them do it they will try harassing you and try and cause you major problems with msd/health department. If your not looking to spend 10k+ don’t call them. Called RotoRooter with a backed up floor drain in the basement, water everywhere. They gave me a 2-4 hour estimate for when someone could make it out, but they guy was able to make it in just an hour which was great. Greg was very nice, and promptly got to work clearing the drain. He helped me a lot by describing the problem and the where the blockage was in the pipes under the house. Great service.

We had a plumbing emergency in the middle of the night. The first tech we had was very efficient and arrived at our house in a timely manner. They needed the water company to come out and turn the water off but gave us all the information needed to reach back out once the water was turned off. The following morning we had another tech come out and not only did he fix the problem within 30mins, he also cleaned out our Shower head. Our tech's name was Steve Borcherding. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. It seemed as if it took him more time to park his van than to do the actual work. If I could give Steve(Roto Rooter) 10 stars I would definitely do so!!!

Mike (1515) came in to fix a few miscellaneous issues we had with our shower and outside water valve. He was quick, thorough, and kept me in the loop of what he was doing at all times. We hadn’t been able to use our shower for a month because of the work of a handyman but Mike took care of it. I would recommend this company to any of my friends and family and am glad my girlfriend and I can shower again.

Other plumbers are taking the weekend off but Roto-Rooter is there 24x7, which is good because I needed them on a Saturday.They showed up in less than 2 hours, got the job done well, and now my kitchen drain works.The lady who took my call was polite and professional. Initial visit with tech was good. Very helpful and prompt. Second tech was also professional and helpful. Call center associates were polite and eager to help.However, have been ghosted twice now by appointments scheduled for Monday and today. Appointments were “lost”even though I have called and confirmed with the call center the days and people I spoke with for appointments.Edit: I was contacted by both a CSM and call center manager after this review. I greatly appreciate the thorough and professional approach that they both took in following up with me regarding the scheduling and miscommunication experience.As a conclusion, none of the associates were rude, and all services provided at my home were satisfactory.

Our sump pump was not shutting off. Called in the evening to report the problem and Roto-Rooter provided next day service. Steve (Tech #1188) was great! Courteous, respectful and knowledgeable! He explained everything that he was doing, why he had to do it, and how much it would cost. His estimate was actually a little higher than the actual cost, and the replacement pump and associated parts were installed promptly and all debris and the old pump were removed. I have some other work that I will ask Roto-Rooter to do, and I will definitely request Steve by name to do it!

Paid a lot of money I didn’t have to unclog my drains. Was told the job will free up my lines. Took a shower after tech left and no change. Receipt said no guarantee so I’m SOL. Called a new plumber.

Called Roto-Rooter for issues with sound coming from pipes. Arranging the initial evaluation was really easy through the website and they have excellent availability (booked 2 days prior to technician arrival). Received a call 30-40 mins prior and technician arrived mostly within window of time initially provided. Nathan was my technician and he was a very nice gentleman. He correctly diagnosed the problem (water pressure too low) fairly quickly and quoted a price prior to fixing the issue. Everything was excellent so far, but this is sort of where the experience went off the rails. The price was kind of high for the issue ($125, mostly paid for diagnosis, the solution was just turning a screw). He raised the pressure and fixed the sound issue, but created an issue where the toilets would continue to leak/run. This was attributed to the float/flow valve in the tanks, but his suggested solution was to replace the float/flow valves within the tanks (for both of my toilets), which amounted to be hundreds of dollars (>$200). I did try to suggest adjusting the float/flow valve tension to adjust tank water level and perhaps reduce the pressure (was set near upper limits). To his credit he did turn the pressure down a little (not much), but he didn't try very hard to problem solve before jumping to an intervention that was more expensive and time consuming, so I felt a little taken advantage of (what other problems would be created by accepting his solution). The situation was unacceptable, so I paid for the initial pressure regulation and had the technician depart. Then I spent literally 30 mins or less adjusting the float/flow valve tension and water pressure to solve all my issues. I really wanted to give a 3.5, but based on high price for literally turning a screw and an incomplete solution that created problems that I then had to address myself, I just can't justify giving 4 stars, so 3 it is.

Our technician was Mike and his number was 734 he was absolutely outstanding. He was friendly efficient knowledgeable answered our questions. Worked until he got all the roots out of our drain. I am super happy with him he is one of the best and friendliest we've ever had. I always call Roto-Rooter. I had an appointment scheduled between 10-2 and the plumber didn't show til 6pm. When they got here they explained what needed to be done but the prices were outrageous. Although the prices were high, Mike #3492 did a thorough job at clearing the main sewer line. He also gave some helpful tips on keeping the lines clean, as I am a first time home buyer.

We like the fact they call and let you know when they are coming. They were running late due to the repair before us taking longer than expected and they called to let us know. They gave us two options for the repair. Like this since they could have just given us the most expensive repair. We were able to chose the option we wanted. Would recommend this company to people who need repairs. They are not like some companies who make you wait several days for repairs by not having the parts. If they don't have the parts on the truck they go and get them. Love that the repairs were made in one day. Thanks Roto-Rooter. They also leave your home clean.

We had a very good experience with our plumber tech 2481 Matt Pierce. We have a 2 story house and water showed up under 2 bathrooms and a laundry room. We had no idea where the water was coming from. I could have been any number of lines and drains. He was able to determine which line and area fairly quickly with minimal damage to my ceiling. He fixed it quickly and efficiently. He was very nice and understanding. We will definitely recommend this company and tech to all our friends and family.
