Levi did a great job...taking care of replacing our water heater and expansion tank that went out on us. He was courteous, professional....kept things very clean. He had us back in hot water in a very short period of time. Aaron...his helper..was great as well.
Although the estimate was higher than I expected the service man was very professional and courteous. He will be back tomorrow to do the actual work. It is a gas line installation so that I can replace is electric range with a gas range.

Levi installed a gas line to my fireplace so I can get a natural gas insert- so much more efficient and clean than burning wood. He was very professional, explained every step needed and made sure I was satisfied with the new gas piping installed. Walked me through the set-up for the fireplace insert when I get it, and assured me if I had a problem, they could always come out for the install.
Levi was great. Very personable and helpful. Showed up on time and was knowledgeable about our reverse osmosis filter system.

When I started the process of evaluating my substandard plumbing problems, I contacted several plumbing companies and met with several owners and/or salespeople that all told me something different when analyzing/describing the same problem. Not that I was overwhelmed, as an engineer, I was fairly confident I knew what was causing the problems and what was needed to fix them. I simply played as if I was a naive homeowner to see how people would present what was needed to fix my problems.
When Larry and Blake showed up, I was most impressed with Larry's knowledge and his straight-forward explanation of the problem. It's amazing how simple the process could have been for the other contractors that showed up to give me a price, but Larry was the only one who made the problem seem so fixable.
Although the price I got from Larry was considerably higher, my wife and I decided to go with Larry and Blake (I didn't know anything about Ben Franklin Plumbing,) because I had the confidence in their ability to do the job the way I expected it to be done. They didn't let me down. Great job guy's!

We were fortunate to discover Benjamin Franklin family of companies after moving to our neighborhood and have had no reason to seek assistance from any other provider. Always courteous and reliable, we acknowledge the value we receive from the business. While they are a national franchise, representatives are local. From various contacts with members of the organization, you get a positive, friendly vibe. Today we received a checkup of our water heater followed by a customary evaluation of the home's plumbing. Always when entering the home, the technician pulls on shoe covers; a professional courtesy we appreciate. The plumber who assisted today took the time to explain the services they provided today and what they could do for us in the future if we decided to upgrade. They give free estimates and offer a homeowner discount plan for repeat business. They are hard to beat.

Excellent service! From the initial estimate to the final completion of our upstairs repiping, Zach was professional, knowlegable, friendly and courteous. He was able to tackle our unique upstairs repipe which also required the difficult removal of pieces of our custom wood ceiling. His assistant AJ took care of our outdoor faucets which required chiseling through our stone and mortar exterior.
Communication, patiently answering all of our questions and concerns were also excellent.
For any future plumbing needs, we will be using Benjamin Franklin and will ask for Zach!

Ben Franklin Plumbing did a great job replacing our two bathrooms.
Our home is over 50 years old and the bathrooms were never updated, and they looked it. We decided to have both bathrooms “stripped to the studs” and rebuilt. Ben Franklin Plumbing sent their “bathrooms man”, Levi, who designed and installed two gorgeous bathrooms. He worked with us on what we wanted and filled in the rest with from his experience. The resulting bathrooms “stunned” our relatives, and I mean that in a very good way. Not only are they great to look at, but all the electrical and plumbing have been upgraded to code. Additionally, we had problems with the outdoor spigots and our kitchen sink faucet which they fixed as well. I can’t say enough about the great job Levi and his crew did and we can’t thank them enough for the great work. I highly recommend Ben Franklin Plumbing and Levi and his crew to anyone needing a bathroom upgrade/install!

We had a serious toilet pipe break, with a resulting leak, between first and second floors... got evening response within 90 minutes, courteous and professional plumber, Zach, stopped the leak, which was the major concern, provided a plan of action to permanently correct the issue, which was too extensive to complete that night, returned promptly and professionally to complete the work. Any time you have an unexpected repair it's more than I wanted to spend and that's true here, too, but confident it was fixed the right way, at a fair price.

The Service representative, Blake, arrived on time and was friendly and professional. I was a bit surprised that he initially flushed the hot water heater while keeping the cold water supply to the tank turned on and not asking us to open a hot water faucet to drain the tank. After cleaning the burner and combustion chamber he did agree to open a Faucet while the cold water supply valve was closed which he said did clear out a little more sediment. The tank wasn’t fully drained as I agreed with him that doing so might have generated more issues for our 15 year old gas water heater.
Zach and his partner were awesome they both went above and beyond to my satisfaction. Highly recommend Zach for all your plumbing needs.

Had a simple leak from the toilet and blockage in the sink flow. They left a new leak, and said they wouldn't be able to come fix it for several days! They wanted to charge close to $1,000 to fix the problems- a second opinion fixed the problems under 30 minutes for less than $100!!
I cant speak for the actual service , because I never had it done after them quoting me nearly 4X the amount that I ended up paying for a small leak from the pipe connecting from my toilet pipe (they quoted me $790. - minus the $59.99 service charge just to quote it ). The gentleman said the toliet would have to be removed and reset plus all the plumbing work would need replaced .Now they were quick to come out - but I guess if I got paid $60 just to look at a job I'd be pretty timely also. I had contractor do it for $200. Incl. Materials that never removed my toliet and was done and outta my house in just over an hr.Just think its ridiculous that a company that obviously subs the work anyways would charge an unheard of price like that. So you be the judge, but I will tell you I would never reccomend them to anyone

We had a LOT of work done by this business. The night after they came, we noticed a leak. We called the after hours service, and was told that there would be a trip charge to send someone out to look at it. I declined and told the operator I was quite disappointed, since I had JUST had work done. She relayed my comments to the business owner, who got someone out that night to fix the issue.
Today, less than a week since having the work done, a new leak has occurred in the pipes that they repaired. We called and were told they didn't have anyone they could send out until tomorrow morning, so now we are going to have to go almost 24 hours without any water, as we can only shut the water off to the whole house. The operator we spoke with said she would try to see if she could get someone out here, but I am in great doubt that we are going to be able to get this fixed until tomorrow.
I won't be using this company again. They were professional, for the most part, while they were out here, although only the lead plumber wore a mask. The two workers he brought with him to help him did not. I'm disappointed that the work they did has leaked twice now, and that we are going to have to wait until tomorrow for repairs because they are too busy to help us today. We had 3 people here all day, so it cost a lot of money (more than the market value for the services we had done), and I expected better customer service and for the actual repairs to be better, considering the amount we spent. I didn't mind spending the money, because I thought the service would be high quality, but I won't make that mistake again.

I have been a club member for over a year and have paid $36.00 a month for a service that when it came time for help, they were not an option and showed their true colors. For the following two reasons, I have canceled my heating/cooling, plumbing, and electrical membership and will never look back. They are not the Costco of the trades and the membership here is a joke.
1. We had an issue with flooding in our half bath from our toilet that happened all of a sudden. I called them over the weekend and their “call center” advised me that I would be charged a $189.00 diagnostic fee. I explained that I was a member. They said that does not matter. Just to come out, that is the fee and it would be separate from repairs. I was told by the woman I spoke to that fixing this situation could cost me a significant amount when all was said and done. They also said that there was no guarantee they could get to me until Monday. Some club membership, right. There is no VIP treatment here. Pay for the hopes that you will get the help you need when you need it.
2. The lack of professionalism from the woman on the phone was beyond pathetic. I asked her to explain the diagnostic fee and she couldn’t. I asked for someone to call back to explain before having to commit to it. She said that I needed to accept just to get a call back from the on call tech. Poor business practice and lack of care for a customer who has already spent $12,000.00+ for major electrical work and plumbing repairs to date. Stay with private contractors who are not tied to excessive company costs. They beat the competition at one thing and that is doing work for 3x more what other companies charge in the area with so-called club membership discounts. I have no background in plumbing, but watched YouTube and asked a friend for background knowledge who said he does the work needed for significantly less. I ended up doing the work myself with his guidance and saved $1,000.00+ for beyond ridiculous pricing.
Please do your research before committing to anything. If you don’t have an emergency and a lot of money to give away for standard work, this company is for you. I would have saved a lot shopping around, but felt like my hands were tied with urgency when we moved to a house needing significant work. I will say that the work done was good for the electrical, but after digging because I was facing an emergency at the time, I spent double what it should have cost. Don’t live by my regrets and know that there are so many private contractors that I spoke to who would do the same jobs for half the price or less.

I had a bad leak coming from one of my radiator pipes. Repairs consisted of replacing piping to one of my radiators and replacing pieces of the boiler system lines. Repairs were done on 12/14/20 in Toledo OH.
-Receptionist was very polite and attentive

BFP scheduled for 2 plumbers, Larry and Aaron, to come for repairs. They showed up at the time that they said they would, which I very much appreciated. Part of the job involved draining and refilling the water from my boiler system, so it was a lengthy job. Thankfully the guys were very clean and courteous, and I felt comfortable having them in my home around my family. They did great work. The leak is gone, and they had my heat back on quickly. They also did a great job of showing me what work needed to be done and explaining why. We discussed all repairs and pricing before they began, so we were on the same page about repair costs. At the end they made sure that I was content with the work before they packed up.
I am very pleased, and I recommend using using Benjamin Franklin for plumbing.

They came in and replaced the water hookups for our washer. We were unable to shut water off with the valves we had. They installed new valves. We are now updated in the laundry room. Very efficient and did the job in a timely manner. Would recommend to our friends and family.

These guys did a fantastic job! We just put our house on the market and discovered a leak in the basement. Underneath sink and also near hot water heater so we weren't sure what was causing it. Called several other companies, no one could come out in less than 2 or 3 days. Called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and they were literally there in less than an hour. Diagnosed the leak from hot water heater. The crew called in an order for new tank, stayed on site and removed the old tank. New tank was delivered and installation complete in 3 hours total. Great job!
Just want to say thank you to the manager Tim for making things right for us and to Zach for fixing our dishwasher properly and making sure I was happy with it. Overall they addressed my concerns and took good care of us in the end so therefore I'm still gonna give them 5 stars and please give those guys raises for actually caring about doing a great job.

I got a pipe under my bathroom sink replaced by a guy name Larry he charged me 175$ for one pipe replacement... And the it was still backed up didn't drain correctly! He isn't any good and a rip off artist! Action sewer replaced everything and way more got my sink running for almost the same price! BEWARE OF LARRY! Our work included installation of a Navien tankless hot water heater, two outside faucets and replacing our washer hoses and shut-off valves. The work required access to both the attic and the crawl space. It was done on two of the hottest days of the summer, but Jay and Angel worked in the extreme heat until the job was completed. Jay listened to our requests, and his attention details exceeded our expectations. The contractors arrived on time, kept a clean work space and they worked steadily until the job was finished. I love this company and all the related companies (All Seasons). They are responsive, nice, professional, and I don't feel like I'm getting taken advantage of. I was frantic to get my kitchen sink unclogged. I made an appointment for a couple days out however she could tell I was desperate and said she'd call if there was a cancellation. And, true to her word, she called me back the same day and said she had a cancellation. My clog ended up being pretty easy to fix even though I had been working on it myself for hours. It was a combo of steps I had not tried. But the technician explained it to me and I learned something new today. He fixed it without having to snake the drain and I feel that was very honest. He answered a couple other plumbing questions I had as well.

Needed someone to come look at a leaking bathroom and these were the only guys I could find that would show up within 48 hours, let alone in 2 hours. Sent two people, both very courteous and appeared knowledgeable. Quickly identified the source of the leak and provided me with some other information (ultimately going through insurance so I did not have them fix anything). Doesn't hurt that the flat fee for showing up is quite reasonable ($60).
Just had them out to give me a quote very respectful early for the appointment.

I have a HMS Home Warrenty that gave Ben Franklin issues over the phone and they refuse to work with me now. I’ll be in touch with BBB to see if there have been major complaints filed against both companies. I wouldn’t suggest for your plumbing needs. My quote for repairs 3 weeks after buying my house was nearly $3,000! Go anywhere but Ben Franklin Plumbing.

As the cost of cleaning a 14 year old gas hot water heater was substantial with no certain future, I elected to replace it, even though the cost was higher. Cody and his assistant went to work immediately, and they had a new water heater installed within three hours. They hauled away the old one. They did a flawless job installing new sub flooring, waterproof laminate, and a new vanity in my bathroom along with the necessary toilet repairs. The re-piping work was done while taking care not to damage walls any more than necessary, even taking the trouble to put in access panels so that major drywall repair did not have to be done! I wanted to take the time out here too thank you everybody for the help Oilers obviously aren't everybody's heating source hope this is going to be the last one I'll need for mylifetime and I appreciate the help that Pat and Dana Brian and Mike and The Croods have a question that I would like to talk to somebody about I pay $255.55 the week before repair and then again a hundred and $48 all total came to 761 that I spent with your company including up to last November and Mike told me this was going to be taken off the bill for the boiler so I'm assuming the boiler cost $8,260 and I'm getting it for 7500 I just wondered if this is correct and I also would like to make sure the payments for $150 4 months cuz that's all I can afford the boiler is working fine people address the problems Mike came over and adjust the thermostat Brian turn the boiler up to where it was in operating temperature unfortunately I've had a family during this process and it was extremely hard for me to deal with all this going on Dave

Five years ago, our water heater stopped working. We already had a service plan with BF and called them. I was told my best solution was to replacement it and they had a heater with a 10 year warranty. For almost $1000, I went with the best.
The old heater sat on a 3 inch high platform so if the basement drain backed up, it would be hard to damage. The BF people didn't put the new heater on the platform, but directly on the floor. The plan included a yearly inspection, but apparently they didn't remember I had a water heater and didn't inspect it last year.
Yesterday I found I had no hot water. I couldn't light the heater and the instructions said to call a service tech. BF said it had dirt and cat hair interfering with the ignition mechanism, cost to fix...$230. I told them I could shop vac out the heater and that I didn't need their $120 a year plan either. They looked it over and came down to $75. Eventually they decided that part of the problem was their responsibility and cleaned it out for free.
I like Ben Franklin. They are reasonably prompt. I'm not going to base my entire opinion on a mediocre heater installation 5 years ago, ut I still question how they can charge $230 (1/4 of the original cost of a heater with 5 more years on the warranty) for a cleaning.
As usual, fine experience with Benjamin Franklin as with the other branches of this operation. Blake was our serviceman on this trip and exemplified the continued great hiring practices this company employs. The repair was easier and cheaper than expected. What can be better than that!

Zach came and took a look at our shower drain that was not draining properly for the past few weeks. He was very knowledgeable and explained that the old piping in the house becomes clogged over time and that using a friendly enzyme drain opener will help to keep the pipes open. He also took a look around the rest of the showers and toilets in the house to make sure there was not a bigger issue. I would highly recommend using Zach and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing.

In addition to annual maintenance, which is what I pay a small monthly fee to cover, I had some minor repairs that needed to be addressed, the biggest of which was replacing a ice maker water line tap with a regular shut off valve. the old line had gotten clogged, but now I am getting good ice again. Plumbing is not cheap but the guys knew their job, had the parts, and were in and out on all repairs in a couple of hours.
They did a yearly check up. Great job.

Zach was professional and did an excellent job quickly with repairing the bathtub/shower faucet leak (old cartridge in the handle) and repairing a rusted hole in the original copper drain line up in the kitchen ceiling, which my father and I prepared by tearing down to find the leak and contain it until we got the plumber here.

They discussed all my questions over the phone extremely timely. They followed exactly what they said, sent a pic of gentleman that came out so we were aware, while also calling giving an hour timeframe. Cody was thorough, professional & knowleadgeable. He did exactly what he had to, efficiently. We had our new, quality water heater in with hot water in a matter of few hours. Very pleased thus far!
As always we had a great experience. Zach was very helpful and fixed an additional problem that popped up once we had the new water heater installed. I am very pleased with the service and would recommend them to anyone.

we had a 10-2 window and someone was there by 10. they were in and out in 30 minutes with what was wrong, what needed replaced.and how much. the only slow up was calling the manufacturing company to get parts. but within a hour he called us and gave us prices and info on what was needed

I was having difficulty changing a hose on my washing machine that was massively corroded when I discovered a sizeable leak in my home's intake pipe at the meter in the basement. I called for an appointment between 5-5:30 on a Thursday night; by noon the next day, the job was done! Blake was excellent! He was both professional and personable while he walked me through what the job would entail. He provided a speedy and hassle free experience.

Larry and Aaron were professional and completed the list of repairs in a timely manner. They explained in detail what they did in the final walkthrough. They even went the extra step and cleaned out the cartridges and aerators in bathroom sinks to improve water pressure. Very happy with their work.

The service person was kind and helpful, explained all of the information to us clearly and gave us multiple recommendations for the price of the fix we needed.
The service I received from Scott who came to replace the sump pump was the BEST! He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, responsible, polite, and just the best kind of service person you could ever want to have come into your home! He took care of things in the most efficient and responsible way! I find that Ben Franklin and One Hour always have sent service people who are prepared for any type of problem they come up against. Scott was the best! And when he had to come back the next day to repair the pipes of the sump pump due to a frozen outside pipe, he had to endure getting soaked with water spraying from the pipes, but he didn't complain, but smiled and assured me everything would be okay. He was soaked and he still was smiling and had such a positive attitude, even a sense of humor! Scott exemplifies such a positive and strong work ethic that makes Ben Franklin the great company that it is! I am so grateful that Scott is the one who came to work in my home! He is awesome!

Gabe was very pleasant and personable. He came to clean out my dryer duct. We walked through the job and he went out of his way to get done what needed to be done. I did need to ask him to put back the cover on the crawl space, but that was minor. I thought he might be new because all All Season's techs leave their workspace in better shape than when they arrive. Everything said, I was pleased with Gabe's visit.

We had no water and the breaker kept tripping. Levi came out and walked me through everything that was going on. I agreed to the work.
After completing the job he realized that I had an electrical problem that was causing the damage to components. Since he was not able to do the repairs due to his license being in OH and not MI he called the office and arranged for an electrician licensed in MI to come over and complete the work. The office rearranged the electrician schedule so that he was able to come back first thing in the morning.
I am so thankful that he caught that and arranged for someone to come over so quick.

Zachary did a great job. He was punctual and explained what needed to be done in our emergency water heater replacement. He made a stressful time easier. He went above and beyond. Highly recommend.
UPDATE 2022: We also had Levi come out for a separate issue. He and Ian were great and did a wonderful job explaining everything they had to do to fix the problem. Continue to recommend!
