On Christmas Eve I came home to a busted water pipe. I called many companies and could not get anyone out till several days later since so many people had frozen or busted pipes and on the day after Christmas I called Pathmaker and John called me back within a couple hours and was at my home to repair the leak! He was friendly, fun to talk to and did excellent work. I will recommend this company to everyone! He had to disconnect my water heater to get to the busted pipe and put everything back perfectly, he found a hole in my wall and even put spray insulation in it for me. I am extremely happy and will be a customer for life. Words cannot express how grateful I am for his service today!!!

Pathmaker Plumbing was great, we called around 9pm on a Sunday night that we had a 100% blockage in our sewer drain system. We received a call less than an hour later that they could make it to our house the next day on Monday. Ben was very communicative in when he would be arriving and assured us he could make it before the end of the day Monday. Ben was great in talking to us about everything he was doing and what it was going to take to remedy the problem. He did everything he could do to also ensure there were no other issues down stream from the clog. We are very grateful for Pathmarkers ability to respond so quickly and personable personnel. Turns out the plumber before we bought our house left the seal plug in used for permitting the system and that’s what caused our blockage.

I cannot say enough about my positive experience with Pathmaker Plumbing. I was experiencing a very critical plumbing problem in my bathroom. Water was gushing from beneath my bathroom tub and flowing into the crawl space of the house. Pathmaker was kind enough to fit us in their already busy schedule. Pathmaker employee John came to my house analyzed, replaced and repaired the trouble area. Thanks to John and Pathmaker Plumbing for quickly and professionally handling this problem. I rarely write reviews. But after the worst nightmare experience with a handyman who broke a pipe by our sink and flooded our home, ruining our new hardwoods, and then disappeared without a trace, I was close to my breaking point. The first plumber at another organization who came out was somewhat rude and highly priced. But when I found John, he was a true home-saver/sanity-saver! He was responsive, professional, and great at explaining what he was doing each step of the way. As a new homeowner he put me at ease and even gave me some professional advice based on my awful handyman experience. Reasonably priced. And had a young man helping him as well who was equally kind/helpful while learning from John at the same time (sorry, forgot his name). And he is well connected to other reputable teams/services in the area if you find yourself in a similar bind like ours where you need more than just a great, trustworthy plumber. I have already referred him to my colleague and do not plan to use anyone else should we have more plumbing jobs come up in the future.
My wife and I recently got new countertops and a newer, deeper, sink in our kitchen. We had to had some piping redone because of the sink depth difference, and the fact that the new sink had only one drain, not two.
The plumber that did the job, John, was excellent. He cut an excellent hole in the drywall to access the piping (this had to be done), and installed new piping, disposal, and pipe vent.
He even took a few minutes after he was finished to educate me on what he did, and why he did it. You could tell immediately that the job was done professionally, because he pointed out a number of things that he fixed that were existing issues we were unaware of, such as wiring that could have caught fire that was not properly insulated years before we even moved in.
I'm sure you can hire a fix it guy at a cheaper rate, but I can tell you that they will most likely be the source of the installation problems that were not up to code that we were unaware of. OR you can hire someone that not only installs proper piping and disposal wiring, but also takes time to fix existing issues that he spots along the way. I highly recommend this service as I have had two different employees come to do jobs in the past, and both of them knew exactly what they were talking about. When I would ask why something was the way that it was under the sink, they didn't have to think for an answer. It was automatic.
So so happy with both the owner and the plumber out to our house, John! We have had a lot of issues with our plumbing with really old cast iron pipes that were in really rough shape when we bought the house. The owner came out to see what was up and walked us through potential problems and solutions and explained everything super well and explained what exactly could be going on without trying to freak us out! Just felt very prepared for what could be coming our way.
When they came back to try to fix the clogs, our pipes had a lot of issues with being able to access them properly, but they kept at it until they were able to figure out each issue! Which felt like one thing after the other, but they never gave up and proactively answered questions and gave more information on what had been happening. Showed me each step so I could be more educated about my own home too which I really appreciated. Didn’t give us the run around and they were both super honest and it really eased my mind! Saved us so much headache and stress. Thank you guys so much!

I found them through a Google search so I was a bit nervous. However, things turned out great!! The team that came was very professional, knowledgeable and thorough with the work. They arrived on time and got right to work locating the problem. They listened as I explained all of our issues with the mainline draining out of the house. They located the problem, resolved it and let us know what we needed to do in the future to not continue to have issues. We were very impressed and satisfied with their service.

Explained every step, took pictures to show, worked hard and non-stop, determined to not just clear a clogged drain, but uncover the root cause in a situation that was pretty complex. John B's team was thorough, clean, professional and did the job right.

This has been one of the amazing experiences we've had with a plumbing company. Here it is the day before Thanksgiving and we are having water heater concerns. Our old company pretty much just said you have to wait for the part. Pathmaker Plumbing was recommended to us by a family member and we didn't know what to expect. John responded to my initial request on Thumbtack almost immediately, which was really impressive. He was very knowledgeable and took time to explain everything when he came out for the estimate, and the work was completed the following week. He showed me the quality of the replacement parts and did a really excellent job (and cleaned everything when he was finished!). Had to reach out to John and his company for a second time since relocating to Charlotte. Was impressed with John and Caleb that they actually remembered me from almost a year ago. Caleb came today, called to let me know he was running late. As usual, he explained everything to me and that is always appreciated. I highly recommend Pathmaker Plumbing and his guys. It doesn't hurt to know that you are dealing with a company that is faith based. Great job to Caleb and his associate.

I had a few plumbing items from our home’s inspection report that I wanted to follow up on once we moved in. I chose to call Pathmaker Plumbing based on their reviews and the fact that they were local. John Stokes did not disappoint and lives up to all the praise posted about him. I’m glad I took the inspector’s advice to contact a professional, as John was able to discover some of the listed items truly needed attention and replacing, which we suspected and were prepared for. John was honest and personable and took the time to educate us on what we needed to do and what could wait. He installed a new kitchen faucet of excellent quality compared to what we had. We saw John again that week to upgrade to a tankless water heater. Both appointments, John called ahead, was on time, and addressed any concerns we had in a relaxed, friendly manner – when he’s working with you, your home is his focus and he’s not rushed to get in and out. I would not hesitate to contact Pathmaker Plumbing again and highly recommend them.

We had all of our plumbing replaced. Caleb was on top of things. He worked at my house for 12 straight hrs. without a break. He did a great job and he's a very nice guy. I'd recommend this company to anyone that has plumbing needs.

Needed a new sewage pipe, water line, and hot water tank; John was very intelligent in this line of work, honest, professional, and friendly. The pricing was great compared to another company that had quoted us. Caleb was very knowledgeable as well and a hard worker. If we need anything in terms of plumbing issues or just questions, we will definitely reach out to John and his amazing team.
John was professional and explained everything to me as he was working. He made sure to thoroughly resolve the problem and cleaned up before leaving. I will definitely call them next time I have a plumbing problem.

Update - I have called upon Pathmaker Plumbing several times over the past few years. My home is 60 years old - and parts wear out needed replacement - and building codes and regulations change as well. John Stokes has helped me replace rusted out drain pipes, run water lines, replace toilets and sinks - he has always explained the problem, taken photos of problems in my crawlspace, and given me options in the repair. Today (3/11/19) he has served me well yet again - finding a leak and helping me prepare my home to sell for new owners. He is an honorable, honest, Christian man. He is trustworthy. His work speaks for him. Proverbs 22:29 Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.

When I saw a coupon on Angie's List to buy $75 worth of plumbing work for $25, I knew I was getting a deal. I didn't know that it would be such a pleasure dealing with John Stokes. Plumbing costs can add up in a hurry - each damaged piece reveals another problem that delay and decay have caused. But John allowed me to buy my own replacement sink and pedestal - so I knew how much the parts cost. And I felt he gave me options in the work - to choose how much I wished to put into the project.
I feel Pathmaker Plumbing did an outstanding job - and treated me fairly. When I need more plumbing work, I will call on John again.
We had a water pressure problem, and John sent Caleb to the house within two hours of my email. Caleb was clean, organized, and explained exactly what the problem was after he spent 30 minutes examining different parts of the water system. He gave me a specific quote for the work, completed the work timely, and cleaned up very well. It was a great experience, and I will use them next time!
John was highly responsive, he arrived at the agreed upon time as well as called to confirm he was on his way. He explained all of his findings, completed his work and cleaned up the area meticulously. We will call Pathmaker again when we need plumbing work.

Had John come out to my house today to inspect all my plumbing issues and to also look at my gas lines water heater. We recently moved into our home a couple years ago and just wanted to see what needed to be done if there was anything wrong.
They inspected everything and answered all my questions honestly and didn't blow smoke or try to upsell me stuff I didn't need. They were calm, patient, and very knowledgeable when it came to answering my questions. While I wasn't able to do all the repairs they suggested, I was happy that didn't force me or try to guilt me into doing all the repairs.
They did replace all of my plumbing under my kitchen sink, they advised me to remove my disposal due to how old it was. I couldn't afford them to put in a new disposal, they made the pipe work compatible and installed an outlet so I can easily install a disposal in the future if I choose too.
They were an awesome group of guys to work with and I will be using this company in the future, no doubt about that!

Great experience with Pathmaker Plumbing. They were ontime, called before arriving, and had a great attitude in helping me solve a very minor issue. I had purchased a deal on Angie's list which had a very low upfront cost for a service call. Pathmaker was able to resolve my issue for no additional charge.

Our master bathroom toilet was leaking so I contacted John with Pathmaker Plumbing. He added me to Caleb’s schedule for like 3:30. Caleb called and said they were done with a job early and asked if they could come early. They came and were finished in no time. Wonderful customer service!!!! John was fantastic! From the first phone call, he met every expectation. There wasn't an emergency - we wanted to replace the water heater with a tankless. But he came the day I called and emailed me an estimate before he left. He provided options I didn't think about (that I used!). On installation day, he arrived when he said he would, kept me up to date during installation, and took the time to walk through how it works and what he had done. I would highly recommend him to all.
We could not have been more pleased with Pathmaker Plumbing. They diagnosed a very tricky problem and gave us a fair estimate. When it turnout out to be even MORE complicated, they stuck with the initial price. The owner identified 2 serious, unrelated plumbing issues we will address later. Appointments were made and kept, masks and shoe covers worn. 5 Stars PLUS!

We have used John a number of times. We find him very responsive and creative and consistently goes the extra mile. When we were looking at replacing our second hot water heater, he suggested removing the second hot water heater and using just one. It worked beautifully and saved us a lot of money both for the heater itself and it electric bills. He carries an excellent line of plumbing products that are not found in the big box stores. He replaced a toilet that was constantly getting clogged with a Toto brand toilet. He also replace a broken faucet with the brand he recommended. We couldn’t be happier with our new faucet and toilet. We highly recommend Pathmaker!
John and Caleb just finished up an entire re-pipe on my 2 story house. My house was built with polybutylene, in the 80s, and would sporadically spring a leak so Pathmaker upgraded my whole house to modern PEX. John gave a very detailed estimate and answered all my questions along the way. He was quick to answer a phone call or text. Even tho the job was a multi-day job, he had water turned on for us every evening so we could live our normal lives and take a shower. :) The entire job passed state inspection the first time which is more than I can say about other contractors I have hired. His attention to detail was incredible. I recommend Pathmaker Plumbing.

He came by and did some work in my house a month or so ago, and was fantastic. It was not too big of an emergency, but he was still there the next day at the exact time that he said he would be. He also called ahead to make sure everything was still on track. He was very helpful, checked a number of other potential issues in the house at no charge, and was very reasonably priced. I looked at a lot of places around Harrisburg that had only a few reviews before seeing his list of positive reviews here, and am very happy that I went with him. Thanks to him and thanks for the rest of the folks here recommending him. I would not have come across him otherwise.

Excellent communication from the very first call to hearing updates during the appointment to hearing findings at the end. I called for help finding any possible leak in a rental condo and someone was able to come within a few hours! He was extremely thorough and persisted to do a complete check. Would definitely call them again!

Pathmaker plumbers showed up on time, diagnosed the problem and provided me with different options to resolve it. They are very knowledgeable and extremely professional. They explained everything throughly to me and answered all my questions and concerns. I’m very satisfied with the results.
The house I just purchased had polybutylene pipes in them. John came out and was very informative and gave me all of my options in an easy to understand way. He also pointed out some things that were not in my inspection report but were not to code with my water heater and pressure valve. Luckily I was still under contract and they worked with me so that I could work with the sellers to have them pay for the repairs. I hired them to repipe the entire house and fix everything that wasn't to code. They were able to start work right away and got everything completed in only TWO days!! They worked hard so I didn't have to be without water on either day and on the third day they had the inspector come out and passed first go around. We got quotes from 2 other plumbers and they werent necessarily the cheapest or most expensive but they were the best value for the quality and knowledge they provided.
We had a bath room facet that had plagued us with a leak for quite sometime. John was not only able to fix it but showed me how I could take care of it, and how to order the part, should it happen again. Very, knowledgeable and personable.
Great job today. They were on time (even early), diagnosed the problem and repaired my disposal. They even cleaned the sink and faucet head! I highly recommend Pathmaker Plumbing.
