James was excellent and went above and beyond to get our heat working, even working well into the night. Having a child born less than a week ago our ac went out and he saved they day. Highly recommend!

Awful! If I could give 0 stars I would! Bait and switch type operation when you pay for maintenance plan. We had gold level (used to be platinum - but they did away with that). Even two days late requesting review and we fired them!! Quoted $626 for a job that should have been less than $100 - but then there would have been service fee on top. Told them not to repair. Waste of my time. So disappointing!!

May for the quick response when I called them, and specially to Anthony Mentzer, who was very professional and did a great job fixing the problem with a clogged sink we had in the kitchen. Kameron Pennington was my tech today who came to my home to troubleshoot problems in our washing machine. Kameron was excellent. VERY informative. Unfortunately the outcome was to buy a new washer. But Kameron gave us some great advice on a new machine to buy. Every tech should be like Kameron!

A.B. May is a quality company. The technician, Keith Travis, was very professional and explained things I wasn’t aware of regarding my warranty. He explained everything he repaired and provided some options if I decide to upgrade in the future. I would recommend this company for your service needs….ask for Keith!

Robert Engel was great. He quickly troubleshot my issue (water heater pilot light) and provide some valuable feedback on cause.

Kevin is just the nicest kind of person you’d want to have in your house. I am very happy with the whole thing. It is against my own personal policy to do surveys but this was worth taking the time.

Ed came out to look at our refrigerator. He identified the problem as the Linear compressor. He let me know that the part was still under warranty and that LG would replace it for free but I would have to pay the labor. If Ed fixed it the cost would have been about $1600 but if LG does it the cost is about $600, so Ed saved us a lot of money. Since it was the weekend we still had to pay the service call plus after hours call we had to pay $139, but still saved a lot of money. Thanks AB May and Ed!

Derek Feekes was very professional and pleasant throughout the repair. He kept us informed of the situation and how the repair was progressing. He was available and prompt on a Saturday night!

George was very attentive to details and was thorough. Instead of “ordering a part” to be installed at a later date, he actually went out and purchased the part and came back to install it. Then…. He went the extra mile to snake the plumbing of the sink as well as took main faucet apart and cleaned it out of debris! I’m very pleased and confident our problem has been resolved. Being a woman, I like that they send you information (name & picture) of the technician that will be doing the service. Pricing was fair as well…ended up being cheaper than using my home warranty. Very satisfied with the quality of service I received.

We love A.B. May and have had a whole house warranty for over 20 years in two different homes. Recently after a power outage we had a two ceiling fans/lights not working. Joe Blalack came out to check things out. He did a thorough check and provided us great feedback. We appreciate the level of detail and knowledge the A.B. Washer broke Sunday called on Monday got afternoon appointment for Tuesday and was fixed that day . Wade is an awesome tech knows his business , is courteous knowledgeable and personable whatever he's paid needs to be doubled , tripled even .

Andrew came by to check the new hvac system ab May installed a year ago. He was amazing! I have no complaints with most of their technicians, they are punctual and knowledgeable. If Andrew did more than furnace work, I’d request him for every service call. 10 stars for him!3 stars for the company itself. I pay every month for the “gold” plan. I had someone check this new system last month and they said it was fine. They said our filter was fine too. But Andrew found it was dirty and way overdue to be changed. He also had to make minor adjustments to make the system run better.I’m not happy that their salesman talked us into this expensive system, that was supposed to be “more efficient”. Spire told us last week that we went over our average usage by $700 last year. So our level payment this year is doubled to make it up. I know inflation has a small role, but $700! And I’m still paying AB May for this new system.I’ve had AB May for almost 9 years (since we bought our house) and I constantly question why we pay them every month. I don’t really feel like I’m getting my monies worth. But hate to cancel now and have something major break. I guess with that being said it’s only good for major repairs. (Except if you have a plumbing pipe in your front yard that needs to be repaired. They quoted me $10k for that. I am looking for other quotes on that from different companies. I guess their gold plan doesn’t cover that).

Brian and Zoey were so professional and kind. They had our drain fixed in no time. The rate was very reasonable. We will call AB May the next time we need help!!

Jeremy rewired my kitchen for my kitchen remodel and brought the electrical up to code. All work done in one day. He helped me with the financial paperwork. I am really pleased with the work he did.

Brian Laurance was professional and to the point as to the reason I called AB May relative to the ice maker in my Samsung refrigerator. He discussed the pros and cons of replacing it or purchuce a mobile ice making one.

Updated review from 5 stars to 3 star for service 08/14/2023AB May called us to schedule a check up on our HVAC system. Scheduled an appointment for last Friday afternoon. 5 PM rolls by. 6 PM and not a peep from them. Mind you, they called us to make the appointment. So I called them to find out why no one contacted us. They had no clue so rescheduled for today, Monday morning.11 AM rolls by. Noon and nothing. I call them and they have no clue. They connected me to the resolution team and you can tell when someone is being dismissive even when they are saying I am sorry. Sir, I can give you a coupon for your next service. WTH! AB May gives those coupons in the mail, in the news paper and online like they are candy. All I wanted is them to do what they said and show up on time and they promised. Time is worth more than money to me.I called back and asked for a manager. Not their resolutions department (if you are such a good company why do you have a resolutions department?) but a manager that has the authorization to do something. Surprise, surprise their system doesn't have the ability to transfer to a manager but can transfer me to everyone else (yet another lie from them). I was told that I should get a call in 20 to 30 minutes. It has been 50 minutes and not a peep. Now, I have been on hold for 20 minutes and they confirmed they can transfer to the manager and the other agent lied. Then they transferred me to a general company voicemail. UGH! The manager refused to call me back. She had someone else call me back. Totally worthless. I have an appointment rescheduled for 8 AM tomorrow. He shows up at 8:01 AM I will tell him to kick rocks and I made it crystal clear to them.So they are supposed to be here at 8:00 AM and their dispatch just called my wife and said he will be here anytime between 8 and 8:30 AM. This is not what was agreed upon.I did let the Tech come in and do the service and he was excellent. Their office and scheduling staff will kill this company in a New York minute.So far they have not raised my expectations beyond 1 star. We will see tomorrow but I am not holding my breath.I have spent thousands on repairs with them and thousands as a Gold Plan member and we are treated like garbage. It is like they don't care there is other companies in Kansas City that would love to have this monthly and repeat customer business.Old Review:I have had a gold service package with AB May since 2009 and it has more than paid for itself when owning a 50+ year old house. They are always prompt and respond quickly for calls for service. Just like any other company there can be a delay during hot weather and cold weather because of the high demand of for emergency service. They cannot break the laws of physics to respond to everyone at the same time.They have done major electrical, plumbing and HVAC work in my house. Just the covered work in the Gold Package this year paid for two or three years of the package in a replaced circuit board in the HVAC air handler and replaced water heater. Total cost to me, $120.00.Their service techs are friendly, respectful and experts in their field. I would recommend them to everyone I know.

Drew was very polite and did the work fast but thorough. If all the service men/women were like him I’d give ABMAY 10 out of 10 stars.

I had questions and concerns and he took time to explain exactly what the original diagnosis could have been. After realizing that wasn’t the source of the issue he took the time to find the less obvious source of the problem. I appreciated that he investigated enough to find the soy source and gave me detailed info on how to resolve it. I appreciated the info and explanations in the process. He didn’t seem rushed or hurried to “ get to the next client. He took his time and was thorough. I’d recommend using their services for any heating and cooling needs. He even apologized for it being the 3rd visit out to my house. I appreciated it.

I would do service with AB May again. Patrick, who sold me the new HVAC system was professional, on time, built rapport, and gave me all my choices. He answered all of my questions, no matter how silly they may have seemed...I had never been through the process of buying new HVAC system, so it was reassuring to have someone educated in the subject. He also gave me some time to think about all my options. There was no pressure and they gave me a quick install date. The three men who came out for install were on time, professional, cleaned up after themselves, and were respectful. I was educated on how the system works before they left and all questions answered.I continue to use AB May for yearly HVAC check ups and their reps always do a great job, on time, professional, abs friendly!! I love this company.

Wade was great. However the bill for the service call plus repair plus the part ordered seems excessive. Called A.B. May early in the morning for an emergency plumbing / drain issue in the basement and they told us they would be by that afternoon. They never said they had a busy schedule or that they might not make it. Waited until 8pm that night, then called again to see if they forgot about us. They went on to say that if we would buy and pay for a year membership on the phone that they would reschedule us for the following day. Guess you have to live in a better residential area to get an appointment on time or even professional communication.. Never calling this company again, as they left a gas link in our basement last time we had a tech come out just to hook up the gas dryer. Bad service every time I’ve called on them!!!!Would have left 0 stars if that was an option. As this is supposed to be a professional company. But it’s really nice to see that most every other customer on here that left a review was taken care of kindly and professionally. Never even had the opportunity to present myself as anymore than a customer in need of an emergency.

My a/c quit Friday afternoon 28th, I called a local HVAC company, and they couldn't work on it until next week sometime. Temp in the house was running 85 degrees. The other HVAC companies were not open on weekends, so I called A. B. May. A nice lady answered the phone and said she would have someone out this weekend. Patrick showed up Sunday after church to look at the a/c. Patrick was eager to help get the a/c problem resolved. He was very friendly, professional, and was able to repair the a/c in a short time. He was very helpful in showing and explaining what he was doing.

We didn’t know we had an appointment. I call as soon as I got a text and told them not to come. He showed up anyway and said it was to repair a dryer. We don’t have a dryer problem. I called you office back upset you showed up anyway when I said don’t come. And I still have not heard anything from you guys.

Brian is a pleasant man that came in and evaluated my dishwasher. He advised that the dishwasher repairs he needed to make would likely cost more then a new one.I appreciated his candor and took his advice. I would use AB May again because of his professional demeanor.

I have had a contract with A.B. May for about eight years to maintain my heating and cooling system. I have been encouraged that I clean my ducts before but had always heard that is a scam. I have a 1940s house and decided to buy the bullet and do it. The two-man crew who came to do the work were professional, on time, courteous, and provided before and after pictures. To say I was shocked is an understatement! I could not believe how much improvement there was from the work they did. I continue to be pleased with A.B. May and the technicians they hire.

I knew what the problem was with my washer not draining properly, but it wasn't something that a homeowner could take care of easily. Bobby was friendly (put up with my excited puppy), and very professional. Fully explained what he would need to do and when he finished, showed me a picture of what was creating the problem. I've worked with ABMay for years and will continue to do so.

We thought we were in for a major problem and were bracing for the big expense. Our technician got here fast and found an inexpensive problem and fixed it and has continued to keep our old system up and running.

Wade came out to our house to try to fix a fridge that wasn’t working. He notified us when he was on the way, he showed up on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. He was very professional and had a lot of good information. He was super helpful and did a great job!!

The technician came out he was very thorough I had a great experience I think anybody with a heating and cooling issue would not be going wrong in calling a b may. Their great came out I'm the timeframe I had before I went to work and it took only a few minutes for him to diagnose the problem overall I give them five stars.

This is my second bad experience with AB May. I last used their services 2 years ago so I thought maybe the experience would be different. It wasn't. I was called today and informed I was on the schedule for services. I was told to be prepared for a call and the tech would be there in 30 minutes. I planned my day according to this information. At 5p I placed a follow up call to check on the status because I was not contacted. I was told I was still on the schedule for today but if I did not hear from anyone by 8 to call the office and I would be scheduled for tomorrow. I called the office at 8 to remind them to schedule me for tomorrow. To my surprise I was informed that I would not be able to be seen for 3 days.This contradicted all I had been told for the entire day. If I had known this potential outcome I would have called a different company sooner. I have been without water for 48 hours. Now, at 8p many options for rescheduling are closed and I've wasted a day I could have been working with another company.This is the second time AB May has demonstrated a lack of integrity, professionalism, or care for potential customers.Do not use this company.

George Martinez and his supervisor took our job to task. Fast, efficient, professional, and friendly. I had a dead pipe which had never been capped long before we bought our ancient and haunted home.One deft cut and the culprit was found, all without tearing up our attic room or other uneccessary damage. They were a great team and the cost was SO much less than other doomsday quotes I had gotten.They even hooked me up with a water remediation business to help clear up my related issue.I will definitely choose them again!

If looking for a repair service contract or home warranty steer clear of this company!They find any which way possible to not cover any of the major items needing repaired! Every time something comes up that needs repaired they have their “technician” or more accurately bait and switch salesman find a reason not to cover it. I have a 1200 sq ft home and the A/C their salesman had installed cannot keep up and has broken down about every other year. Somehow even with the supposed $2,000 credit for replacement under the service contract this POS still cost me $9,000+ in 2018. A couple years after our A/C, our water heater needed replaced. Covered under the Gold Service Plan? Hell no! It’s not a standard 6.5 ft tall water heater. It’s a “compact” water heater. So we shelled out $800+ for replacement. This past week, having A/C issues and breaker won’t stay on. They sent their “electrician” or again salesman come take a look. They don’t carry the breaker for my breaker panel. So what do they do, they give three options. Covered? NO! It’s an “upgrade”! Options they gave me: install a subpanel to control just the A/C, upgrade to a 200 amp breaker panel, or upgrade to a 200 amp service. Price there was no option to replace with a similar 100amp panel, then they might have had to cover something. Beyond frustrated that I have shelled out thousands of dollars to this company and the quality of work/product is incredibly low. Avoid this company like the plague!!

All of my cast iron pipe in my historic 100 year old house was replaced. This was a HUGE job. It took 5 days to complete. Besides all new plumbing pipe, they also installed two new toilets, new faucets on sinks, new garbage disposal, new water heater, and a new reverse osmosis water system. Michael, Jacob, Austin, and John did an amazing job!!! Their work ethic, knowledge about installation, and ability to provide an excellent end result is to be commended!!! I would hire them back any time I need anything in the future.

A city water main brake caused air and pressure in my lines which caused a breaker to trip and break. Because the breakers used in my box aren't made anymore I had to have the wiring in both my boxes (house and barn) replaced. Jeremy went above and beyond to combine both boxes into one with minimal fees (it was still very expensive, don't get me wrong, but it could have been a lot worse if Jeremy didn't do things the way he did them) and saved me several thousand dollars. He was very professional, knew his business and was a pleasure to work with. I felt confident leaving him alone in my house for over six hours doing this job while I was at the hospital with my daughter while she had surgery. I would absolutely recommend Jeremy and AB May to my friends and family and will use them again.

George Martinez is an outstanding plumber employed by AB May. I have been a Gold Member for 10 years. George Martinez is very knowledgeable. He has over 30 years experience. He went above and beyond to order parts for a model of Jacuzzi tub. These parts are no longer available through normal channels. George took extra time to make calls and visits to plumbing suppliers to find one that could special order the part. George M. is an outstanding representative of Quality and Professional service.

Brian was very thorough and helpful on not only this but other drainage issues/questions I had. Hope we don’t need him again soon but if we do he’s our guy!

We have known the owners for years. Wonderful people. All of the service techs are polite and knowledgeable. Our most recent tech, Ryan, got our kitchen drain working in no time. Integrity is the bedrock of this company, and they do excellent work. We have never had an issue with this company. Highly recommend them!

Joseph arrived to assist in stopping a water valve leak under a bathroom sink. He quickly identified the issue and easily replaced the worn out valve. While he was there, he also cleaned out a slow draining sink. He was friendly and professional. He worked through his lunchtime to get the job done.

I was very pleased with my technician, James, as he is very proficient and excellent at what he does personally. My disappointment came from James following the instructions that he said he was given to charge me a second warranty visit charge of $75 when he came back to repair the problem after I had ordered in the correct parts. When he diagnosed the problem initially there was a $75 charge and it was my assumption that that charge would not be duplicated when he came back to install the parts as it was all one occurrence under the warranty policy as I saw it. In transparency James, on his first visit did switch out a couple parts from one faucet to another to get us functional while we were waiting for the new parts. It was that technicality that James said required him to charge us a new warranty occurrence charge when the new parts came in because now he had to install the new parts on a Fossett 15 feet away. I argued with him on this point, but he was confident that this would be A.B. May‘s position. I will be pursuing a refund of the $75 charge as it was only because of the broken parts that any of this claim had to be filed it shouldn’t have been two charges for $75.

Ryan did a stellar job of finding our toilet water leak and installing a new toilet. He is professional and neat as a pin. Plus our big Great Pyrenees dog liked him, a real plus.

Robert was fantastic, diagnosed the issue and was able to get the water heater back working.

Luke was awesome. First off he showed up early in the morning. He was courteous and kind even though I personally had some things going on when he arrived. I showed him the unit and he started in on the AC fix. He fixed and tested and retested everything. He checked all of the thing. He spent a good portion of the day making sure I was ready for the upcoming 90+ degree days. He was great.

5 Starts, James was great, showed up on time, pleasant and completed all the work in a timely manner for what I felt was a fair price. This is my second experience with AB May and I've been very happy both times and in my field, I'm sure I will need their services again.

I have a maintenance contract with AB May. My air conditioning stopped working and I called for service and it took 7-8 hours for repairman to get to me. When I called in to request repairs I was told they would contact me within 4 hours. Henry Walters was repairman and he was courteous and efficient making the repairs. Five stars for Henry. Not so much for scheduling.

Levi did an amazing job and was thorough in diagnosing the issue. He was knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Levi's customer service made up for the communication issues of the call center and dispatch. We were rescheduled previously and they were advised we were available after 230pm. They called at 222pm and due to being unable to answer my phone we were bumped from the schedule. I called promptly at 230pm and there was nothing they could do to help. They wanted to reschedule a month and a half later and when I explained our system isn't working right they changed the work order to a repair call and scheduled the next day. It was quite frustrating. So far AB May has excellent techs and service providers but the communication end of things seems to be hit or miss.Update: Levi returned and again provided excellent service and confidence in fixing the issue.

Amber did a fantastic job explaining the product, explaining what we do NOT need, and was very timely in all communication. Great experience setting up installation of a new water heater and softener.

Had a tech come out to replace cartridge and valve in my shower because it would leak through the shower knob when running. It's an older setup so I knew it would be a tough job. The tech at the time did great (although I have a hole in my wall from his first attempt that I have to tape and mud myself because I guess their plumbers can't do that). Everything else seemed to go fine.As he left, he told me the shower head would drip for a little bit then stop. I left and came home from work six hours later to find the shower head running nonstop in a steady stream. I also noticed that the handle would now only turn a quarter way, stopping at the lukewarm water mark.I called AB May to ask them to send someone to fix the leak, and they said that since it wasn't causing any flooding or damage, the soonest they could send someone out would be Monday. It's Thursday. So my shower's going to run non stop for 3-4 days. They did say they would waive my inspection fee, but the tech would let me know how much it would cost. To fix the leak they caused.So, my shower went from leaking when running to leaking nonstop. It no longer has hot water. There's a hole in my bathroom wall. They did all this, and I paid them $1400 for it. And it'll be this way for three more days, at which point they'll let me know how much additional I'll need to pay them to fix the stuff they did. Unbelievable.UPDATE: After some conversation with a different customer service team, they did refund me 10% of the job cost and cover the cost of the plumber I paid to come out that day and fix it.

Charged me $160 for a fuse that cost $5. I paid $249 for them to fix my dryer. Spent 20 minutes to find out what was wrong. Had to order the fuse in which it can the next day. Told me it would only take 15 minutes to put in. AB May said they couldnt come back out until 7 days later the earliest. I couldnt wait 7 days. I ended up doing the work myself. ABMay stated to bad to sad we are still charging you $249 and you get no refund. Im baffled and upset

Zachery fixed my AC issue - feels like a new house again. Nice dude (everyone I've dealt with at AB May have been very nice and responsive). When you have someone come into your home to make a repair, and you can tell they really care about their job and care about getting the job done right the first time, it creates a situation where you know you can trust them (and the company) for any future needs...although I hope none of my stuff breaks obviously. Zac measured the voltage and determined it was too low for the part to operate properly. Zac is very friendly and took time to fully explain the issue. He made sure we understood the issue before leaving. He heard about some health issues we have as a family and told us about other products available that could help with our health issues without pressuring us to buy the systems. Lastly, we was very respectful to our home. He should be considered for technician of the month (or year) based on our experience with Zac.

My dryer was not working after I tried to repair the rollers. Brian came out, looked at the dryer and when he tried to start the dryer, it worked. Had a drain back up around 6:30pm. Called a couple places before calling A.B. May. They stated they could have a tech out as soon as possible. Drain was fixed that night and it was only $79.00! They were the only company that offered a tech to come out that evening. It was a life saver. Thank you AB May!

When I noticed that my AC wasn't working, it was about 3:30 in the afternoon on July 3. I called AB May and Ron Bracken the technician arrived about 45 mins later. He was courteous, attentive and identified the problem quickly (faulty capacitor). He was very helpful and came back a few days later to update the outdoor temp sensor. So thankful for his good service which is difficult to find nowadays.

Raphael was awesome! He is an excellent problem solver. He was efficient, timely and professional and knew what he was doing. Thank you for having such a high caliber Technician!

The service person was polite and personable. However, he worked hard to up sell two faucets to me, instead of repairing. He worked on estimates most of the time he was here so no repairs to the faucets were made. When I reminded him to take a look at the toilet, it was an after thought. He then tweaked something in the tank to help it fill with water more fully. The total charge for that 2 minute repair was $345. I feel that is extremely unreasonable. I was aware of the service call fee but that much additional money for what he did was unconscionable. Plus the estimate for the faucet replacements including labor was over $2000. It is safe to say that I will not be contacting AB May for any of my plumbing needs.

This is the first time I ever ever tried to use A.B. May. I called to schedule an A.B. May electrical technician to come to our home to gives us an estimate and information about adding wiring from the garage fuse box to an electric heater purchased for the garage that needs to be hard-wired. A couple of days after having scheduled the appointment, their scheduler called me and stated that whoever scheduled my appointment did not have the right tech set for the appointment, so they had to change the schedule to a new date and time (Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 9:00 am). I stated that would be fine. So, at 9:30 am, on January 10th, when no one showed up to the house, I called A.B. May and asked when the tech would be arriving because the tech is already late by 30 minutes. I was told that someone had canceled the appointment. I asked if I could speak with management, and I was told she would request their Resolution Team to be in contact with me about their errors with scheduling..... and of course, no one bothered to call. In a way, I am sort of grateful this happened, because it may be a reflection on the quality of their workmanship and corporate environment. I won't ever bother to call A.B. May for anything at all in the future. Too many errors in just the initial steps of trying to work with A.B. May makes me very concerned about how many errors there would be throughout the whole process in working with them.

AB May is the best company for emergency service! I called in at 6:45pm on a day we had a heat advisory. No fuss, no oh we'll get back to you or after hours fee. Our tech Nate was at our home within the hour, which we felt fortunate given the the amount of emergency calls they were probably getting. He found the problem with our A/C, and even though it's rarer than other issues, was able to take the time to figure it out wha the issue was. We are so thrilled that AB May truly operates a 24/7 emergency service whereas other businesses have it but it is very limited. I'm glad I called our service man from AB May 😄

****updateOur main line backed up again for several days after the initial service. Upon calling AB May to advise, they were not going to send out a technician for several days due to their schedule. Odd that I called on a Thursday and had same day service. Yet when I called back on Monday morning, they could not come back out until Thursday which is a week later. They called at 12:52 today, Thursday & I didn't answer. I returned their call at 12:53 & went to voice-mail. They returned the call at 1:03 & advised they had sent their technician on to another job because I didn't answer the phone. If they had answered their phone instead of a machine. They cannot come back out until next Tuesday.At this point, I am not a happy AB May customer. I have used A1 in the past.Fantastic service by Brian Wynes! He explained everything to me and showed me his findings. We discussed what was to be done and he was extremely confident in what he was doing to help my home.

Ed & Brian were here a few weeks ago to team up on our microwave issue. They had to order and wait on a part, and were out today to finish the job. They were knowledgable & professional, and friendly and informative. I would recommend these guys to anyone. While they were working on the microwave, Brian noticed our fridge was running really warm, and the condenser might need cleaned. I pulled the fridge out after they left, and it was really filthybehind, at the intake, and the condenser itself was coated. I cleaned it up and it's running much cooler now. I had AB May come diagnose my air conditioner… they quoted me 4300.00 for a new compressor. I went a whole summer with no air conditioning. Turns out there is nothing wrong with my compressor, it was out of refrigerant.

I called for fridge and dryer repair. 2 techs later and a hole in my wall and both appliances are still broken with zero follow up after. I will not be following up because I don’t want them back in my house.

Ebony and her trainee Kevin? were excellent. Super professional, took the time to explain what was wrong with my drain line, and explained the pricing upfront. They walked me through the part that needed replacing and double checked that I was ok with the $20 dollar charge for the new part. Not really a big deal to them, but a big deal to me, as I’ve had companies act first and charge later before. Would totally use them again and absolutely ask for Ebony!!!!

He took time to answer all of my questions and was very personable.Although my service was covered under my monthly home warranty agreement, AB May is pricing theirselves out of customers and I’m sure I’m not the only one with this sentiment.

Guerillmo was so friendly and thorough! He had a charismatic personality. Guerillmo was here for my annual maintenance on my HVAC/A/C system and he repaired my ac unit that was not turning on. He walked me through everything he did, from the repairs to verifying the furnace temps, checking the air duct system, washing the unit off and making sure it all worked before he left. He offered recommendations to better my system all while not being pushy. Would recommend him anytime!

Genesis was very polite and professional. He was patient and respectful with my mother when she kind of rambled and shared with him topic adjacent information, replying thank you for bringing that to my attention. He also shared with us that our water turn off switch was leaking and did his best to fix it. He also went above and beyond and cleaned up the leak and recommended that we put a bucket under the switch to catch the dripping water. I called AB May to use their main line drain special. I spoke with a girl, and she set up an appointment for me. She asked if I could be home by 4:00, and I told her that would not be a problem. Before the scheduled appointment, she called me back and asked if I could be rescheduled. I said, that is fine. I asked her if she could set it up again for 4:00 or after, and she said that she could. I would have to take off work a little bit early, but that's not a problem. The day they were suppose to arrive, I was home by 4:00. I waited until 5:00 and decided I should call to make sure they are still coming. The girl who answered the phone said yes, they are on their way. (without checking with anyone) I believed her. I waited until 6:00 and called again. The girl that answered the phone said, I don't even see you on the schedule! Let me check with the dispatcher. They were not coming, I was not on their schedule. She asked me to reschedule, and I said NO! I've rescheduled twice, taken off work early, put off doing my yard work because I was waiting on them! She said, let me call them back, and see if they can still come out tonight. I said, only if it's by 7:00 pm. She checked with them, and it was not possible. The whole time I was on hold, I kept listening to their message repeating over and over again saying they are 3 generations of people who care. They give excellent customer service before, during and after your experience....I was pretty upset, and asked her to have a supervisor call me the next day. That has been a week and a half ago and no word.

We were calling around frantically trying to get some things installed before our refinance inspection. The scheduler went above and beyond to call dispatch to see if we can be squeezed in the next morning. All other places were way too booked solid from recent storms.Jeremy Laber installed a tough ceiling fan and tough bathroom vent. It was expensive, that's for sure. But the quality and customer service were top notch. He took the time to make sure it was done right. Also super chill and nice.And everything works great. He warned us about an unavoidable noise from the vent and we chose not to do anything with it. It was nice to be alerted to something instead of it being a surprise.Last electrician I had over, left knowing the install wasn't working and told me to figure it out on my own cause he had other calls to go on. I never called them again. I'll definitely be calling AB May and asking for Jeremy on our next job. Expensive, but you get your money's worth for sure.Thank you!

The last company we called, the service man didn't want to enter the crawl space and was of no help and fixed nothing. I went with AB May due to my recent experiences with other businesses, pulling fast ones by telling me one thing then, after work was completed, telling me it's not in the contract, not fixing things promised to fix, etc. I had AB May as my home warranty company about 15 years ago, I remembered their professionalism and coworkers had more recently used them for new A/C's and my coworkers were happy.I had a new heater installed in Feb and signed up for the yearly maintenance...cause I always forget. So, just had my April maintenance on the A/C and Trevor explained to me a question I kept asking others about (I had a new A/C installed 2019). I've had this explained before but Trevor gave more detail (or something) because I now understand the issue, and it's now not an issue, so I'm impressed with Trevor's understanding and explanation powers (concise and just technical enough to make sense, others have explained but Trevor added more info or something). FYI, the heater installation team was quite knowledgeable and awesome too!The workers were nice, polite, professional, competent, etc. It appears AB May values return business and their ethics have not changed from my last dealing with them around 2004. I'm so relieved.

The Service Tech Cole did an outstanding job. I had installed a steam humidifier, but was unable to get the system operating due to low-voltage wiring issues. Cole came in and assessed the problem, and pretty much knew immediately what the problem was, and how to fix it. Very, very knowledgeable. He got right to work and was done in no time. Cole was also able to suggest a operational improvement on the HVAC/heat pump system (which will improve gas efficiency). Cole completed that task also. All in all, my issues were completely fixed, and the HVAC was operating better as a result. Very satisfied with the overall service, including the good communication from the AB May front office.

He was very kind, quick and efficient. He replaced all the pipes downstairs and it looks much cleaner and nicer - he did a great job. Would recommend his Service

AB May recently performed a semiannual Check & clean service on my HVAC system. James Sanchez, the tech, was the most competent, thorough, and efficient, person I have ever dealt with. He not only serviced my system thoroughly and quickly, but patiently answered all my many questions. When he was unsure of the answer to a question, he took the trouble to call in to get the answer and clearly explained it to me in layman's terms, something many other AB May techs could or wound not do. He is a valuable asset to the company and deserves recognition as the quintessential service technician. I will always ask for him when I call in for service because I trust him and respect his work ethic.

AB May has sent two service professionals to try to unblock my main. So far, they have not been able to get it cleared, but both appointments were professional and knowledgeable. They have not pressured me into high cost repairs, and have been willing to progressively try lower cost options first to see if they could be made to work in my situation. In the past other companies have refused to work in situations like this, insisting instead on expensive excavations and replacement rather than attempting to clear older lines like these. I feel as if AB May’s staff respects my budget, and is doing everything they can to provide assistance at a lower price point, if possible, before moving on to more expensive options.

The first time I called I was able to talk to a real person. A very pleasant young lady. She ask a few questions about my problem and scheduled a same day repair. Even though it was early on Saturday morning. The Technician called to tell me he was on the way. When he arrived I explained what had happened. He quickly diagnosed the problem and made the repairs.The whole experience was very pleasant.

Our sink started leaking on Sunday night. I called AB May Monday and Ryan (who I requested) came out on Tuesday. He came in and found out that the sprayer was what was leaking. He gave us options on faucets and went to go get it. He came back installed it, turned the water back on and made sure there was no leaks. Explained the new system to us and was done. Very professional and I will request Ryan for all my plumbing issues.

My appliance technician, Sean, was very prompt and knowledgeable. He was at my house in under an hour from calling. He was quickly able to diagnose the problem with my dishwasher. He was great with my very friendly dog too!

A.B. May was easy to get a hold of and made it very easy to book an appointment. Derrick Kruse came to service my water heater. Having a stranger in your home can be stressful but Derrick made it a better experience because he was professional, informative, and personable. Most importantly, he got the water to run hot again! I am very happy!

Bobby was extremely helpful and went the extra mile to find out why our freezer was leaky. Most repairmen from other companies only defrosted the drain. Then the problem returned quickly. Bobby actually took the freezer apart and found a big clog in one of the pipes! Thank you Bobby! Our problem is finally solved!

Joseph Lopez was exceptional from A.B. May. He was punctual, knowledgeable, very professional and even answered questions that I had about certain things, with positive energy and a willingness to assist my understanding. Today Joseph had some tasks that were a bit involved to complete and he did a fantastic job servicing our needs along with representing your company. I felt like I had known him and I just met him this early afternoon. This particular service job took several hours and he kept a wonderful attitude, a great worker. Thank you Joseph.

We just spent a lot of money to install a tankless water heater. The person never arrived within 30-45 mins of the call. There was supposed to be a vent on the outside of my building but there are ugly pipes sticking out. We had one HVAC guy tell us that some of the work that was done was illegal. All this for 7K after a 2K rebate.

Total ripoff. Under $200 parts cost retail ( lowes) only 1.5 hr instalation time. They charged $2200, and that was with a $800 supposed discount that cost me more money! Never thought somebody would mark up parts that much. Should have priced out instead of trusting the company to be fair and not price gouge at a 1000% mark up. They aren't honest! Please price around so you know you're not getting ripped off.

Had a main line clog. Called Abmay and they were able to get me on the schedule same day. They even texted me a picture and name of the technician who would be coming to my home. I think that's a great feature. Pake was very professional and answered all of my questions. We got lucky that the clog had cleared on its own. Also he advised against running a line to clear the mainline if there wasn't an active clog. How often do you come across a service company that isn't trying to upsell you on something? Today's total cost, $0. I was more than willing to pay a service visit charge but he said no charge needed and should the clog come back, to give them a call and they would return to help. I will definitely be using their services in the future should something come up.

I had a cleaning and inspection of my HVAC. The gentleman was very professional and the job he did was great.

Mr. Ed has been in my home several times and he’s always friendly and professional. He explains everything about the job. If he’s not able to complete the job due to a part needing to be ordered, he gives me a timeframe on when to expect the delivery. Mr Ed is never bothered about the children watching him work.

Jose was respectful of my home and my concerns. He was thorough and walked me through all the details of fixing my flu vent and moving a vent.

Edit to review:I had a home warranty though AB May but have since canceled it. I had some duct cleaning done and they charged me twice. When I found the second charge I contacted them for a month to get this rectified, finally had to call my credit card company to do the charge back. This cost me over $1200 and caused several financial issues for me. Canceled my homes warranty with them and will go with a company that’s more responsive to their customers.James was amazing! Polite, respectful, and efficient. I have older plumbing and AB May is quick to respond and their techs are great!

AC went out at 7pm. Our usual company doesn’t have after 5pm hours so we googled who did. Extreme heat predicted compounded with a medical issue meant we needed it fixed ASAP. Asked about their earliest appointment, she assured us several times they would be out that night. Regardless of the time, they would be there! They said to call and reschedule if it got too late. We never called bc it being fixed was a priority and no time was too late. They never showed, they never called! Called the next day at 7 am to see when they were coming and why they didn’t show. She said she’d pass the message along. No apology. Meanwhile we didn’t get any sleep in a hot house. Called my usual company and they were at my house in a couple hours and took 20min to fix the issue. 24/7 service is a joke and they lied to us. If you’re slammed just be transparent about it. Give customers an actual timed appointment. Then when we eventually cancelled the appointment they had an attitude.

Logan was thorough, found a tiny leak on the coil, explained what needed to be done and gave us option/quotes. His work was almost perfect until he left and forgot to turn our heating/cooling system back on. Fortunately, we caught him before he drove off. It was an honest mistake, but can be prevented in the future by simply having a checklist before they leave to ensure everything is turned back on. Overall he did a great job!

We called on our home warranty and when James arrived, he saw right away that it was irrepairable. He offered several options, and I decided on the upgrade. He was super fast, professional and polite. I would have James back for any further repairs that are needed.

My husband & I did our homework. We visited Lowe's, toilets were $199.00 each, install $250, 7.00 for a new line, 35.00 delivery, 1 × charge, but to haul away, $ 35.00 per toilet. Without tax it came to $1508.00.. Derrick was able to learn what our needs are & stay within our budget & still give us quality toilets. He waved the haul off fee & a couple of issues we discovered that were minor, he didn't up charge us. I finally found a plumber that I definitely will call back! He has Integrity, he's trustworthy, & he educates the customer so they know if they are being snowed by another company. We paid $300.00 more than the Lowe's bid, but it is worth it to get the job done right. That's what is important here. I want quality workmanship & there's a warranty! Paid over $4,500. For a new hot water heater. Was told the gas line was the wrong size. Was told someone would get ahold of me. After a week of no calls. I called them, was told they would have original bidder get ahold of me. Never heard a word. So here we are a month later with still the wrong size gas line. We have hot water, but we're wondering if it's safe.Original bidder didn't do the job. Someone else did.Al so the exhaust was wrong and installer said we denied work. Which we did not.

Called for plumbing. Technician could not fix the problem. Scheduled next day for a plumber. They lost my information about the appointment, somewhere between morning and afternoon. Talked to a supervisor to find a plumber to come out, but they never called back. I called another company that was able to fix the problem.

Tried to take advantage of my 91 year old mother. Service call was $89.95. Tech quoted $330, then said the wall needed to be cut open and the new price was $1,090. Sent him on his way. Got it done the next day for $80. It took 6 minutes and works perfectly. Customer service did a good job trying to make things right, but it didn’t help the inconvenience caused, incompetence or the price gouging. No way I would ever use this tech again. Be careful.

We've had AB May for years. Dylan is the best technician we've ever had. He was thorough, professional, and very articulate.

If you don’t mind paying $500 dollars to have someone unclog your toilet, this is the company for you. He got the job done, but I feel like I was completely taken advantage of and ripped off. Kicking myself for not checking around. Several people have told me that they only charge $60-$100 for this service! Will never use them again.

This is a tale of two cities.The good news: the clothes washer was fixed today. It was correctly diagnosed on the first visit, and the appropriate part was brought today to effect the repair.The bad news: the dishwasher is still not completely fixed. The drain pump was successfully replaced several weeks ago. But after the repair, the door no longer closed smoothly. On the revisit, a malfunction of one of the hinges was noted. No one claims responsibility, but it worked perfectly before the drain pump installation, and not after. Parts were ordered to replace both right and left hinges. At the following appointment, the technician opened the box to find a right hinge and another part that was not a hinge. The repair could not be done. Today the technician brought a box with the other part, only to find that it was not a left hinges, but another right hinge. The repair could not be done. So, we wait once more for AB May to order the correct part for the dishwasher and fix the door.

Amber pointed out quite a few of my previous plumber's installation issues. Recommended a few other updates on plumbing and HVAC updates. She was really concerned about safety and the well-being of my household. Appreciate everything she did. Would highly recommend her and AB May if the rest of the technicians are as conscientious as she was.

Bobby Long was superb! The refrigerator repair was complicated due to the nature of the Whirlpool side by side with the ice maker in the door. It took a couple parts to complete the job but he was timely on both occasions and a gentleman in dealing with his elders!

She determined that our kitchen drain, that was backing up through our garbage disposal, was not clogged but was due to the pipe vent needing be replaced and/or altered. I would gladly recommend her service to my friends and family.

We noticed a small puddle around our basement floor drain, and AB May wanted to send someone right out. We wanted to hold off for a few days, so they scheduled our requested appointment. Fast forward a few days, and the puddle was more like a pond. Our technician, Ebony, quickly got it under control. The drain works now, and Ebony gave us some tips, in how to keep the drain running more smoothly. She was very efficient and personable. I will ask for her again. She also gave me good reasons for having a plumbing system check.Over the years, we have found that AB May is not the cheapest company, but they do a good job at a fair price. They are also a good company to work for, according to the various workers that we have had. We are loyal customers BECAUSE this company treats both employees and customers with respect.

Zac Jones did a very fine job! He was pleasant, courteous, and seemed committed to ensuring the job was done right. He checked on some things that really weren't necessary, just to make sure things were working right. He asked a couple of times whether we had any further questions. He represented A B May well!

Derrick was exceptional. He assessed the situation, explained it in laymen’s terms, and presented options, including not needing to do anything. We opted to decline repair services because it was so close to the cost of totally replacing our machine. It wasn't until I declined the all of the services (including the discount plan) that he explained the breakdown in a way to show just how affordable everything would have been. Just poorly communicated and in the end it seemed as if the initial quote was meant to pressure us into buying the plan.

I want AB MAY to know that K. Norris gets an A and not a B from her thorough and on point service today. She!s a great asset to your company!

I would not recommend them at all now. Service is horrible. When we first had them I was impressed. But after awhile monthly Service fees went up, plans went up, on call fees went up and they started making you do some of the work yourself if you don't want to be charged extra fees. Like cutting must be done yourself to avoid $150 dollar fee. Pulling the toilet up must be done yourself to avoid $75 dollar fee to work on drains, pipes for garbage disposals must be disconnected by you to avoid fees. They let the ceiling leak in the living room overnight because they didn't have the right tools the day they came. They said it wasn't an emergency because we have another bathroom to use even though water was leaking all over. Nothing is important to them. Not worth what you pay. It's a scam.

AC was acting up. AB May came out on Sunday within 90 minutes of our call. They found a capacitor went out, plus the coils were packed with dirt and debris. Replaced the part and hosed down the whole unit. Looks and runs like new instead of a 9 year old one.

Shelby and Tyler did very good work for us today. We had an exhaust fan installed in our bathroom and a light fixture updated (knob and tube). A.B. May does cost a bit more but the work is solid.

Tony was very helpful and professional. He answered all of my questions and was responsive to my other need for a drain cleaning. He scheduled the appointment for me with no worries.

Don't get tricked into buying the service plan that is considered gold service plan. There is no 24 hour service. Although a nice guy, calling the 24 service number gets you to a guy that simply logs your problem over to AB May who isn't checking it. Three calls later back to the same gentleman, no progress on our after hours emergency. In fairness, we did finally get a call (that's all) from an AB May person; however, there is no 24 hour service so the service plan and the 24 hour language on the website is a mis-representation. I will say that AB May normal service is fine, just be aware of the service plan.

This is a maintenance plan I have with AB May which included two maintenance visits a year prior to summer and winter for my furnace and air conditioner. AB Mays Technician Ron Bracken was a pleasure to work with. Ron was professional and personable. He arrived on time, we discussed the work he would be doing to get the A/C up to par and he got down to business. He was replacing the Blower motor and doing an A/C maintenance check. During the process Ron kept me informed of the things he was doing, and when he ran into an issue, he let me know what the issue was, the resolutions he would be doing to fix the issue. No surprises, no hidden charges and no additional charges , just what was quoted to me when he first arrived.Appreciate the work done today and the A/C is so much quieter.

Had an absolutely horrible experience with AB May. Sold us a heat pump. Up sold us on several features without telling us. Left a damper half closed making our new system work harder. were supposed to clean all duct work as part of the process - they forgot to do two rooms entirely. We were on a gold service plan. We have canceled.

Ryan did an excellent job on my plumbing issues. We talked and explained our concerns. Ryan listened & then evaluated what we had. He replaced the dishwasher shutoff valve & the ice maker shutoff valve. He then started to work on our laundry room sink. He replaced the faucet & sprayer. A problem came up on the faucet drain lines. Several ideas came to his mind but this being an older house was making it difficult. He stayed with it and finally made a good choice for a final repair. I had a new tankless water heater installed after my 10 year old water heater went kaput. They did a great job in helping me understand the new technology. My only complaint is that their work on my water pipes moved them slightly, causing my water softener to have a minor leak. Also, they left zero clearance to insulate the new water pipes they installed - it is resting on my HVAC duct work, acceptable in the winter, but it will be working opposite the A/C in the summer.

Ben did excellent job! He explained me very kindly and answered all the questions. He has been responsible and have consistently completed all tasks perfectly. He has been kind and thorough in explaining every question I asked, and he fixed all the issues in our house. I truly recommend him.

Our drain line clogged and the drip tray was full with water running out of the unit. AB May came the same day and cleared the line.

Excellent service. George was very friendly, professional, polite. He identified the problem and fixed it quickly, and then ran some tests to make sure the unit was running correctly before he left. Appreciate that he showed me pictures of the unit and the actual defective pieces that he replaced. Great experience overall.

I will never use ABMay again. Our AC went out Monday, July 3rd, the tech didn’t have the part and had to order it. We have a family member that just had major back surgery and we were told since we had a medical emergency we’d be put on the top of the list. The part came in July 5th but we wouldn’t have known if we hadn’t of made the call to ABMay to ask. They said they’d come out sometime, no guarantee when on July 6th. After 2 calls today we find out we were never even added to the callout list for today and now it’ll be July 7th before they can come out. Once again no guarantee on what time of day. Worst service we’ve ever had from a company.

Our A/C began failing and I called AB May. The service technician, Tino Ramirez, arrived when expected and was friendly and professional. He checked out the system and communicated what he found. It wasn't good news for me but I felt I could trust what he found. We ended up replacing the complete HVAC system with a high efficiency product. The crew that came to install the new system were very professional, very neat and clean, and completed the install in about 5 hours. Left the area clean and made sure I was comfortable with using the controls for the new system. Great job. No complaints.

Called them for help installing a lift toilet bidet. The guys figured out the company didn't send us the right part. They wrote down exactly what we needed to ask the company about what we needed. They ended up not charging us anything. Very nice and professional. Arrived when we expected them.

AB May installed a new furnace and A/C at our 4plex earlier this month and did an excellent job; professional, clean, quick (brought about an 8 person crew), and respectful. System has been great but some of the ducts to our other system started falling when A/C kicked on last week. Within two days, AB May was there and fixed them for free “in case they bumped them” while installing our new system. We’ll continue to use AB MAY for all of our future HVAC needs… while they may not be the very cheapest, the quality of work pays for itself immensely.

I got a response within a day. My second experience with AB May, although it seems very pricey I am pleased with promptness of the service, the professionalism of the individuals and the promptness of the repair. Between Fixed -> Fast - 'Ffordable AB May satisfies the first two hands down. I'll still call them the next time.

Jeff Bellis came late on a Friday afternoon to fix gas leaks found by Kansas Gas Service contractors when relocating our gas meter. Jeff was thorough and professional and completed the work competently. He even provided his contact information in case Kansas Gas Service inspection indicated more work to be done. Kameron Pennington came to diagnose our refrigerator’s ice maker issue (don’t buy a Samsung BTW). He has worked on our dishwasher previously. This gentleman has always been thorough and highly informative, but especially so this afternoon. He found an additional problem that would’ve caused the refrigerator itself to fail had he not noticed it. This most likely saved me a lot or misery over spoiled food, and the cleanup involved; not to mention the cost of replacing that food.He gave explanations of the various issues and provided my options clearly and succinctly. Parts are now on order. He outlined what will happen when the parts arrive and how to prepare for when he comes back for the repair.Highly personable and very respectful! If this is the quality of employee AB May hires across the board, they’re doing a great job of it. Thanks Kameron!I definitely suggest the service plan if you don’t already have one.

We were having issues with our AC. We got some to come out the next day and they thought they fixed the issue. By the evening the AC was still struggling. They came out again the following day and he spent two hours checking every piece of the unit to find the issue. He provided a same day option, but it would not be as manufacturer intended. They also said to get the exact part it would have to be ordered and take up to a week, but it would work as manufacturer intended. We went ahead and waited the week. They came out today and spent 3-4 hours cleaning everything and installing the new part. They have been very kind, hardworking, and available to help get our AC on and working again. I am very appreciative of them!

This is my third attempt of sharing my rating my serviceman, Kameron. He was thorough, professional & friendly. He was excellent at teaching me my options. He answered most of my questions before I could even ask them. I would recommend him very highly.

Pake did a great job assessing the problem and fixed it quickly. He went above and beyond what I expected for the price I was quoted. He also made sure to tell me about future issues that may arise and how they would need to be solved. He gave me great recommendations for regular maintenance that I can do myself too!

We purchased a new Daikin Furnace and Central Air unit from AB May in February , 2016. We had no problems until January, 2022. Starting with that service call we have had to replace 3 circuit boards. Thank goodness we purchased their extended warranty plan. The second time we had no heat for a week because they didn't have any of the circuit boards in stock. I would not recommend buying a Daikin Furnace and Central Air unit.

Tommy was great and patient, he was able to fix the pressure toilet and change a rusted sink faucet. He was very professional and answered all my questions.

I am not sure if it’s a limited time deal so check with them on the offer when you call for service.

I would give the technicians ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, but the office staff, the people that answer the phones and the management in the office is what got them one star. They're unorganized, none of them are on the same page, they don't give you correct information, and they have zero communication skills. I was told once that my home warranty covered my refrigerator and when the technician showed up he told me it was not covered.They installed a brand new HVAC system into a house that I had just purchased. Two weeks into living there, the AC quit working. I was scheduled on the Saturday for them to come out to fix it. As the day ticked away, I called several times to double-check that the technician was still coming and they reassured me that he was. He never showed up and I ended up having to make another appointment. AC. June. HOT. If it breaks again before a normal lifetime of an HVAC system, I will get a lawyer.Needless to say I did not renew my home warranty with ABMay.

I recently purchased a new HVAC System which the technicians did an excellent job from what I've seen. The entire process from the sales rep to the installation was top-notch. However, The biggest drawback is dealing with their customer service department. Dealing with them makes me have buyer's remorse. If I could, I would return everything in a heartbeat and deal with not having an HVAC system for the time being.The department that should set the standard for customer service does not know the meaning of customer service. I've dealt with multiple individuals, Michael Richmond *cough *cough, with a poor attitude and lack of care when dealing with customer issues. In addition, the department seems to lack any resources to help the customers. The typical answer I get is, they will be there between 8-12 or they will call 30 minutes before heading your way. Ok... I know there is a window, but can you tell me if the technician has an issue at the current job that might delay or reschedule my appointment. There has to be a way to provide transparency on the status of the technicians. I rather reschedule, knowing the technician won't make it to my appointment versus wasting my entire day to find out they won't be there at the last minute. Too many vacation days wasted just to make myself available with no service done. I expected more in terms of customer service, especially spending 18k.Overall, I've had a good experience with the exception of their customer service. Because of that, the only interaction I will continue with them is my complimentary maintenance and warranty.

Rusty was very thorough and explained everything he was doing and provided ideas for preventive maintenance. He was professional, knowledgeable and pleasant.

Repaired both washer and ice maker. Both working well. Kind of pricey but don’t think any more expensive than others. Don’t like they give you a time frame of all day, would like to know if coming morning or evening.

Ebony and the administrator clearly communicated her arrival and she was right on time. Ebony listened while I explained my issue then let me know what she thought the problem was and how she would fix it and the probable cost. She quickly fixed the drain issue, made sure there was no mess and even had time to give my dogs the attention they were craving (lol)! Ebony was professional and efficient. I haven't encountered many female plumbers but as a woman, seeing her immediately put me at ease- I hope more women follow in her footsteps.

Mike was excellent as a service person and very efficient. I have never had problems with any person with whom I have met to take care of my air or furnace needs. Apparently, dog urine corrodes the coils and when one of my dogs visited the corners of the outside unit, a process of deterioration began five years ago when the full system was installed. I have had a yearly maintenance program and apparently the damage to my system was not noticed until it failed. I am pleased to report that ABMay, Jason Smith, worked with me to resolve this issue. I would definitely recommend using this company.

A B May has been a constant with my house for fifteen years. They installed a new furnace twelve years ago and have maintained it each year under their maintenance contract. The company is professional when they call and the technicians are always respectful, knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. I have no reason at this point to look elsewhere for HVAC and plumbing needs.

We had clogged bathroom sink and shower drains. Our house only has a crawl, adding to the difficulty. Ryan wasted no time in getting into the crawl space and clearing the clog.

We had water flooding in our basement. We thought it was from the washing machine drain, until the shower was used and we had an even bigger flood in the basement. I had called in to request service when we thought it was from the washer. Although the day was full, the woman I spoke with added us to today's list. After the shower episode, my husband was convinced it was the main drain. He called again and let them know it was perhaps the main drain. Kevin came early evening. He determined where the problem was, got his machine out and fixed it! He assured us it was not a main drain problem. I'm thrilled to not have to spend tomorrow at a laundromat. Kevin was very polite, knowledgeable and solved our problem.

They showed up on time. We were running late and they waited 15min for us to arrive. They told us we needed to replace our fridge so they didn’t charge us a dime.Another company, Able Appliance, has been out 5 times over the past 2+ weeks trying to fix the same problem. We spent hundreds of dollars with the other company but got no results.AB May shot us straight and didn’t charge us their standard trip fee. One of my questions stumped her so she called a supervisor to be sure she had the right answer I appreciated that she was willing to do that rather than give me a potentially wrong answer. This was routine maintenance but she took the time to answer all the questions I had saved for this visit.

Once more ABMay performed a stellar job on the replacement of an old, and improperly grounded, Main Electrical Panel.There were numerous issues and code violations of which I was not aware.Even if we wanted to sell the house, we would be restricted until the panel was brought up to code.The new panel is clean and has many slots for additional breakers to isolate each section of the house as I was hoping to accomplish but could not with the old panel.Plus now, the lights do not flicker whenever the washer changes cycles.Thank You once again A.B. May for a fantastic upgrade and customer service experience.They are a bit higher on costs but you get the quality for which you pay.

It was a difficult job replacing a drain under a 200 year old basin. Most companies wouldn't have tried. They thought it through and did a great job.

Admittedly the quote was on the high end but not outrageous. But this is my dad’s house and I knew he had Band-Aided plumbing problems for years so I knew there was no longer a chance to dodge the issues. Which included rotting cast iron and a leaking water heater.But AB May was fast, neat, clean and did excellent professional work. Robert and Anthony were friendly answered all our questions even while they worked in 3 different parts of the house. I stood in the basement and kitchen admiring their work long after they were gone.

My repairman came in with a smile and was very knowledgeable. He found the problem right away, and when he came back with the parts, he stayed later to make sure the dishwasher was running correctly and not leaking. He was pleasant and kind.

Service person very polite. Quick, very good neat job. Very efficient. Gave good recommendation to prevent problem from reoccurring. Plus he came out on a holiday the first day in a timely matter. It was a emergent situation for us. He came out and capped the pipe so we could have water. He returned the next day to finish the job. COLD weather can burst your pipes. My CO detector went off yesterday and the fire department found the source was my water heater. I called AB May and they came out within 2 hours of me calling and we found my heater needed to be replaced.Since it was end of day they were unable to get me the water heater as the store closed but today Curtis came and was thorough, professional, explained everything to me and was quick to finish a lot of work. Less than 24 hours after the detector first went off I'm set with a new water heater that is up to code.Excellent service!
