I called in a frantic panic and was told what to do via phone. I’m in sales myself so I know how important every call is... when I say A1 service via phone. I hope I never need a plumber again but if I do I’m calling Davis!

Found Davis Plumbing on Nextdoor when I had some issues with bath tub fixtures. Melvin came out day-of to take care of the issue, was reasonably priced, and was friendly!

I have a rental unit in Atlanta that I needed to get a quote for some plumbing work. Since there is currently a tenant living there and I live in Marietta AND have a full time job, the only time we could meet the plumber is Thursday between 4:30 pm and 5:15 pm (my fiance teaches a gym class just down the street at 5:30 on Thursdays). We agreed 10 days in advance that that would work. On the day of, my fiance waited until 5:15, no call, no show. She called multiple times and got no answer. If there was an option for 0 stars, I would have selected that. Thanks for wasting our time!

As an out of state landlord, Mr Davis came to my rescue when a tenant called me in the middle of the night with a busted pipe. I called several metro Atlanta plumbers (big names) and only reached answering services. Thankfully, when I called Davis Plumbing a licensed plumber spoke with me and was able to repair the problem that night! I was even able to have an invoice emailed to me and pay it instead of having my tenant pay and me reimburse her. I will definitely call Mr Davis for all of my plumbing needs.

If you check the review sites you'll see that Davis Plumbing's work is highly regarded. There have been several reports of no-shows, however. I selected this firm for a plumbing repair based on the positive reviews. I am writing this review to confirm that the company does have no-show issues. I scheduled a repair, rescheduled in advance and confirmed the new day and time by phone. On the appointment day I stayed home, and waited until one hour past the appointment time. I then called Davis Plumbing and left a voice mail message with my phone number, asking about the status of my (missed) service visit. I have yet to receive a call from Davis Plumbing. Word to the wise.

Melvin took my call on a Saturday and was at my house quickly. He explained my problem so I understood what was going on (blown water heater). Then he replaced my water heater, going the extra mile (literally) to get the best materials and make sure the job was done right. Thanks!

This plumber ran off with $2250 of my money and was at my house for 2 full days. He only worked for about 3 hours during that 2 days and really left me in a pinch to get my plumbing job done. Thank god I was able to find Rescue Rooter to come do the job that he was supposed to do for the exact same price. They were done in 2 days. None of his helpers have a clue how to do plumbing. They all stood around not working and telling stories of their past the whole time they were at my house. Like my house was a local hangout or bar. His main focus is his personal life the whole time he is on the job. His girl friend or ex wife will not let him see his kids and he is constantly texting her while he is on the job. DO NOT USE THIS PLUMBER HE IS WORTHLESS AND WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY! He said we would work things out and now he won't answer my phone calls or text messages. I'm about to file theft claims against him with the City of Kennesaw, Cobb County, as well as local code enforcement.

Worst experience ever.I called them one week ago and made appointments which they canceled four times. The last cancellation was because traffic was heavy from Buckhead to Roswell and they said they could not make it from 8 AM to 10AM and it would be 10AM - 12 Noon. They had NO REGARD for my work schedule.Please spread the word and let's show companies like this that there are consequences for poor service.

This is in response to all of the negative reviews I received about my business online. I first off want to let you all know that the reviews about no show are absolutely correct. I do not and will not be manipulated by some little twerp that thinks an estimate makes me money. As a small business I cannot afford to do estimates for free. I would be riding around all day and never eat. I like to eat. Now I will address Mr. Josh Dorners review. Josh had a project he put off until the last minute and wanted to help us the only problem with that is he over complicated the job and kept getting in the way. The reality is he was trying to avoid being with his wife that had just had a baby so we took the hit when he got caught hanging out with us his choice was to run us off and write a bad review to cover his butt. Now we talk about Bob Levy. Mr Levy is a guy that called about a toilet so many times I quite frankly got tired of talking to him. He wanted us to come out at 7am or after 5pm that's not easy to do in Atlanta and I'm in business to make money efficiently. Bob is just an angry old man that thought I would jump through hoops for gas money and he wrote a bad review because I wouldn't drop my price for his convenience this is not Wal-Mart Bob. Frank Thompson has one toilet that he clogged up and we augered it for him and didn't here anything for a week until he called me drunk at 11:00 raising cane about a receipt and then texted me all night like a little girl about how we didn't solve his problem I can only imagine that maybe he clogged it again and was trying the usual something for nothing. I have seen it all over the years.Now I would like to address Mary S and her review. Sadly her review is true my son took advantage of her unbeknownst to me and she never contacted me to tell me about it. He is no longer here now as he committed suicide and I am so sorry about what he did Mary I had no idea he had a major drug problem. Further more I would like to let everyone know that I am also human and sometimes I can't satisfy everyone all the time. I try my best however I must go where I make the most money like other small businesses. I do not advertise and I rely on word of mouth for all of my business. If you want the truth about your plumbing with no bull I'm the one to call. If the timing is right and you can deal with the truth then give me a call. If you are in need I will help you. We discovered a plumbing emergency at 4:30pm on a Monday afternoon. We called Davis Plumbing & they came within 20 minutes. When we called, Melvin answered quickly himself. They evaluated the situation & fixed the problem quickly. It was perfect. Couldn't ask for better service. Thanks Melvin & Branon! We will call you again when we need plumbing services.

Melvin was great. Showed up Christmas Eve and was nice and quick. Very professional. Highly recommend.

We had a major repair recently at our older house, and Davis Plumbing was fantastic. Melvin was professional, on-time, and did a great job. From now on, we'll always call him first, and we feel lucky to have found someone who we can trust, who is reasonably priced, and who we know will take the time and effort to do a great job.

He (no exaggeration) saved us thousands of dollars, and we have higher confidence in his work than from the other companies with much higher bids. Hopefully no other major systems have issues in the future, but for big or small jobs, we're glad to know Melvin's phone number!

Just a horrible business. They came out and thought they fixed the problem and paid them 250 dollars. It was not fixed and was told someone was going to come out to fix it many times and no one came. Also, I have asked repeatedly for a receipt from the first visit, and for some reason they won't send one.

Initially this company seemed to be prompt and truly customer focused. He completed the work quickly and reassured me that he guaranteed his work. A few months later, when my sink that he installed began to leak he kept saying that he would come and address the leak. After 3 no-shows and 3 weeks of not having use of the sink, I was forced to call another plumber to resolve the issue. I would not recommend this company.

Mr Davis responded to my urgent call to get my shower pipe fixed and in the process found a few other things that had to get resolved. He was extremely quick and effective and very fair with the price. He’s very knowledgeable and made the whole experience super painless! Will definitely be calling him if I have future plumbing issues!

As with prior reviews, this plumber has no-show issues. I set up the appointment about 3 days in advance; here's how the day went:

7:00 AM appointment ->
Said he had a dentist appointment, moved to 12:00 PM ->
12:30 PM said traffic is terrible on 75, he'll get there as soon as possible ->
1:30 PM said traffic is terrible on 75, he'll get there in 45 minutes (yes, he repeated it) ->
2:30 PM he said something came up and that he'd have to cancel

I told him Don't worry about it., called up another plumber, who got there at 5:15 and finished in 20 minutes. I'm sure he does a great job but he's a small shop, so if he mentions anything about being busy, look elsewhere.

Fixed my clogged toilet at no charge

We discovered a leak on our garage ceiling late one evening. Melvin answered and came right out. He quickly diagnosed the problem, found the leaky pipe, and made the repair within an hour. He also educated us on the cause of the leak and other things we need to be mindful of. He was very courteous and cleaned up everything, even though we told him not to worry about making a mess. The service and great price far exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t have asked for a better overall experience!

Had to find a plumber to fix plumbing issue after a bathroom remodel. A few plumbers came out but either couldn't fix it or didn't want to. Found David Plumbing off of Nextdoor in which he came highly recommended. Came out to the house and explained exactly what the problem was and resolved it. Would definitely recommend and save his number for future!

Shame on Davis Plumbing. Do not use them. Based on A recommendation from one of Atlanta's big plumbing companies,I hired them to do a shower pan and tile repair, and essentially wasted $2300. Mr. Davis sent his son and I wish I had never let that man in my house. A helper did the demolition, then he send a subcontractor who had no idea what he was doing. The work was half done and Mr. Davis and his son have disappeared, as has the subcontractor ravens reconstruction. I had to hire someone else to redo the entire thing, in fact they caused additional damage. I have sent pictures and my complaint to the state of Georgia, because I feel this company should not be doing business here.
