We really enjoyed working with Franz and his crew. They were very professional and polite. And Franz kept us well-informed about the process involved in replacing the main drain and the people who would be working at our house. We would definitely hire them again.

The water heater blew on Thursday, American Home Shield wouldn't cover (but, that's for another time). Mr. Rooter sent out James Cornish on a Sat. It was not the cheapest quote, a couple of hundred more than BGE, but they would do it the same day. It was worth it to us to not go another two days to wait for Catons Plumbing or BGE. James was friendly, hard working, professional, and a pleasure to have do the work. We liked him immensely. He's hearing impaired, and has an app on his phone that made communication quite easy. The work looks solid. Highly recommend James Cornish and I hope the bosses at Mr. Rooter are treating him well!

A great experience overall. Finally a Professional who didn't talk down to me as a Woman. He was polite, he listened to me and worked super fast. The other big name company in my area treated me like it was 1950 and had no respect. Also claimed I needed $5 to $10 Thousand of work just in case he broke my pipes while installing the kitchen faucet. Mr. Rooter charged me a fraction of that which was on target and reasonable.

This is definitely a significant advantage. In my case, I chose to utilize their services to address a leak in my sink.The technician arrived promptly and determined that the issue was with my fixtures. The total cost for the service amounted to $330. However, I'm unsure about the breakdown of this cost—whether it included an hourly rate or materials—since the technician spent no more than 30 minutes at my home, and the materials used were minimal.Admittedly, my knowledge of plumbing is limited, and all I really needed was for the leak to be fixed I paid $300. For the job.Surprisingly, less than 15 days later, the same leak resurfaced, prompting me to call them once again. The technician who arrived this time informed me that the previous visit had indeed addressed the leak, but the current issue was unrelated and completely different.Huh?Not only that, the tech attempted to contact the supervisor who was “busy” and gave him a quick brush off (trust me I was there)This implies that the initial technician did not thoroughly inspect everything to ensure a comprehensive job. To provide clarity, I have attached some photos to demonstrate the relatively small scale of the project.The second technician, Darrius Salmond, took the time to meticulously examine each pipe and connection, ensuring a thorough job—a responsibility that the first technician should have fulfilled.As a result, I find myself out nearly $500 for what essentially amounted to a minor task.

Called this morning, needing a plumber to provide and install a water heater. There was a bit of urgency, as I wanted hot water for the weekend. Mr. Rooter sent out Rob and Rich, they were courteous and very pleasant. I had a number of questions for them and they answered all confidently. I watched part of the water heater removal and installation, I was very impressed. I asked them about a special fitting that they were using and they explained in detail and showed how worked. This is how every plumber should engage customers. These guys were the best! Thanks, Rob and Rich!!

On Friday my toilet and shower were clogged, and my home warranty provider said someone will be out on Monday. I put in a service call with Home Advisor I got a few estimates, but I went with Mr. Rooter because of Nate Hurley. Nate showed up, he was courteous, professional. He put his booties on and proceeded to troubleshoot the problem. He explained what was happening with my plumbing, and gave me a few options for repair while explaining each one. He went to work, cleared the clog, and I'm happy! Thanks!

They were the plumbing technicians who initially came to give a Mr. rooter quote to replace the grey plastic polyurethane piping in my basement. I was immediately impressed with Robb and Rich’s knowledge about plumbing and their enthusiasm for their work I hired Mr. Rooter Plumbing Company for the job and requested that Robb Whitley and Rich Bush be the plumbing technicians that perform the work. They came and I was not at all disappointed with respect to my initial impression, I was also impressed with their “professional bedside manner” on the job. They wore their masks for mutual Covid-19 protection were very professional at all times and cleaned up after themselves

Plumber used a hammer to smash the drywall to check water pipe leaking when he should have used power saw to cut the drywall by straight line.

Benjamin Turner was the technician who took care of the plumbing issue. He was extremely professionally and knowledgeable and solve the issue quickly. He represented the company Mr. Rooter extremely well. He is an example of what great looks like. I will refer my friends to use Mr. Rooter and ask for Benjamin Turner.

Mr. Rooter staff from Maryland came to my house to do cost estimate for the water heater replacement on Thursday evening then their Manager Mr. Franz contacted me same day via text & wanted me to do the replacement next day since he had space open & will be ready for Friday inspection. Mr. Rooter staff next day & replaced the water heater. When I asked for inspection date. I was told by the Tech that Mr. Franz is going in person to get permit & schedule for inspection for Monday & you will receive an email once we schedule an inspection for you. When I contacted Mr. Franz on Friday to get an update on inspection. He informed that we applied for permit today & we will keep you posted. I contacted the county by phone & got the permit which I shared with Mr. Franz & requested him to please schedule for an inspection. Mr. Franz never contacted me back to provide an update on the inspection. His behavior was totally changed after getting the business from me. I scheduled the inspection myself with county.I would definitely encourage to go to Home Depot or Lowe’s. At least they are professional & where the customer satisfaction/ customer care matters. Mr. Franz has no concept of service recovery.

We had a broken sewer line inside the house. Mr. Rooter was able to identify the location, get us an estimate, and was ready to roll as soon as we were able to clear a path for them. Wayne did a great job minimizing collateral damage, sealing off the rest of the house to keep it clean, and came up with a way to preclude this problem from recurring. His finish work on the new installation was excellent!

Robbie Whitley was great and super friendly. He quickly diagnose the issue and suggested flushing the water heater to see if it would clear the sediments and buildup in the tank and alleviate the noise coming from the tank. Although some water did spill out of the tank and the heating system during this process, but he quickly helped clean the excess water up. He thoroughly explained the process and what needed to be done to effectively flush the tank out. Thank you for all your help!

Excellent service. James pointed out the work that needed to be done and made sure that we knew what was going on during the repairs. He was enthusiastic about his job and made sure we knew how the work would affect the other existing plumbing throughout the rest of the house. More than anything, he was patient with us, which helped us stay calm and be patient as well. He got that we didn't know all that he did about plumbing but he wasn't trying to take advantage of that to aggressively upsale. He was very upfront, as well as personable and relatable. Would hire him again.

After getting an astronomical estimate for an upgrade to a 50 gallon water heater that a Len the Plumber technician said was required ($4700!), Tim Chesser from Mr. Rooter came in and in less than a minute realized that another contractor had shutoff the gas (we recently had a lot of renovations done to the home). He turned it on and the water heater began working. He literally saved us thousands of dollars! We also asked for a quote should we decide to upgrade to a 50 gallon water heater in the future and he indicated it would be $2900. Needless to say we will be calling Mr. Rooter for all our plumbing needs in the future. Thank you, Tim!

Rob and Rich were extremely polite and carefully explained all the options for fixing my problem. After I chose an option, they fixed the issue very quickly. This is the first time I used Mr. Rooter and I'll definitely call them again for my next (knock wood) plumbing problem.

Rich was my technician and was terrific. First we had to overcome an issue with Lowe’s discovering the hot water tank I purchased was damaged with no others in stock. Rich was helpful in discussing options so we could get this done the same day. We were able to find a suitable replacement to finally move on with the project.Rich was very personable and professional and demonstrated his expertise throughout. Looked to me like a pretty big project to handle by himself, but he had no problem and finished in less time than expected. He took all precautions in light of the Covid virus and also protecting floors, etc. Finished job looked great. Cleaned up everything so you couldn’t even tell he was there other than the new equipment.Very happy with the job!!!

Discovered the shut off valve for the refrigerator wasn't working and needed it fixed quickly to stop a leak inside the refrigerator. Vinton did a great job! He was able to come out within an hour and got the parts needed at nearby hardware store. Now the valve works well and no more leaks. Thank you!

I just moved into my new townhouse and on the same day my toilet got backed up with waste filled to the brim. Yikes!!! I called Rotor Rooter for an estimate over the phone but the only way I can get an estimate is for a technician to come to my house to do an inspection. Mr. Nate Hurley came to my house and I was impressed. He was professional, courteous, very knowledgeable, and easy on the eyes. After Mr. Hurley check the toilet that was backed up, he then check my basement plumbing to determine the cause of the back up. Once his inspection was complete he gave me the estimate of $246, which was way too high for me. I told Mr. Hurley that I just moved into my house and I don’t have anything remotely close to that dollar amount so I couldn’t accept his estimate/offer. However when I get the money I will ask for Mr. Nate Hurley because I appreciate good customer service, and he made me feel at ease being in my home in a new neighborhood for the first time. Wayne and crew were very professional and did a great job. They dug a trench and installed a pipe to direct the sump pump discharge away from our house. I was very impressed with the amount of communication provided by the company to remind me of the appointments and to let me know when the technician(s) were on their way. We have worked with many plumbers in the past - for all kinds of issues. Mr. Rooter Plumbing has been the best of all those experiences. We needed a hot water heater installed. I was given a quote over the phone, which they honored, and it was really nice not having to wait for in person estimates (going without hot water for another day or having people coming and going in this precarious time). The cost was very competitive and I appreciated knowing it up front. Rich arrived on time and explained everything thoroughly, which I really appreciated. We have had hot water heaters installed before, but no one, until Rich, took the time to explain the safety features, what to do if there was another leak and things we could do ourselves to prolong our water heater's life. Rich clearly takes as great a pride in his work as we do in home ownership. He was meticulous and careful and his work was clean and precise and of the highest quality. Mr Rooter was recommended to us by some friends, we called them with a plumbing problem and a tech came out shortly there after, took a camera down the access drain and found the problem and said the could be here the next day to fix the problem. On 6/5 they arrived when they said would, Wayne Gaydeen was in charge of everything and Aaron Tillies was one of his helpers. Both of these technicians were always polite, professional and very hard workers. Thank You Wayne and Arron for getting a very hard and complicated job done in repairing and replacing my sewer lines and getting us hooked up to the city sewer lines correctly and legally. I wish I could have giving you more than 5 stars, because you deserve it, especially for having to deal with this old grouchy woman so early in the morning. Mr. Richard Bush came today and replaced a faucet and piping system in our kitchen. He was on time and came in wearing a mask, and shoe protectors. I take care of an uncle who special needs behavior and can be hard to talk to. Richard was a gentleman and showed my whole family respect.Explained everything he was doing and showed as he did. He spends his own money to have these black gloves that show residue. He touched everything before and after. Could not believe the difference. I was having a bad week and he was extremely respectful when I was venting. He showed care in ways some friends don't do. I will absolutely hire him again to do work.

We had a potential major issue with a leaking diverter in our wall. Mr. Rooter, especially Senior Technician Rich Bush did a great job. Rich's work was amazing. Mr Rooter came out to fix the outdoor spigots at my parents house. The work was done well, and the tech was efficient. Had to replace some pipes inside the house so some sawing was needed but you would never know based on how well he cleaned up afterwards.

The first company I called which promised same day service said that they could be out 4 days later. Needless to say I decided to call try a second company instead. So glad that I did. Not only did they come out the same day and fix my water pipe which was leaking right at the main line coming into the house. But the plumber finished within an hour and no tricks about the job being more difficult than he expected and no raising the price after the original price was quoted. Will definitely use again and will recommend to any friends & family that need a plumber!

My sump pump pit rusted out so I contacted Mr. Rooter to help fix this problem. Robert Whitley was very professional and quickly helped fix the issue. He replace the old sump pump pit with a new plastic pit and replace all pipes. it was a pleasure working with him.

I can't honestly review Mr. Rooter of MD because I don't know anything about the company itself. But here is my experience with their service. A plumber was able to come on the same day I called; the whole family was thrilled about this. Rob Whitley was my plumber; ask for him if you can get him. Worked with me so I was able to get the job done right away. Explained why I was having constant problems, then advised me to save up for the repairs, because it was only a matter of time. Never felt pressured or tricked into doing the service. Gave me info on how to avoid sewage buildup. All great things, but best of all, I felt comfortable around him; I can't say that for every service person who walks into my house. The stories I could tell... Anyway, I'm satisfied with the work and I'm saving my pennies for that backed-up sewage day. I just hope I have time enough to be ready.

My strong recommendation for Mr. Rooter reflects several things, the prompt diagnosis of the sewer line problem, the prompt commencement of the job, the politeness of the entire crew, the crew's work ethic (including working late on the first and second days and finishing up on Sunday morning), and attention to detail. However, I believe the key to my high recommendation was the involvement of Wayne Gayadeen, supervisor of the crew. Although the diagnosis of the problem was settling of this almost hundred year old house on the sewer line, there were many, many decisions which had to be made as the crew dug deeper and found other issues which had to be addressed. Wayne explained them all to me, and more importantly, to my son who is knowledgable in this area, as the job proceeded. Everything Wayne told us would happen, did happen, and he and the crew came up with solid solutions to the problems. Tech stayed 2.5 hours, couldn't find leak so told us leak was our bathtub caulking and charged us $235. ALMOST spent 5k on a new bathtub when my husband and I found the source. Called back and the earliest available was late afternoon the next day... so much for 24 hours! Called a DIFFERENT service who offered a tech within hours, found leak in minutes, with NO up front diagnostic fee.What a waste of $235!!!!

The young man who came out and worked on my main drain was fine, but the other 2 guys I felt as though they were ganging up on me. I felt as though they wanted to pile up the job which did not focus on what I wanted. Shame on the company. This company is not female friendly nor pocket safe. I needed the T changed and the main drain changed

I gave my experience a 4 only due to the cost. I believe that they are overpriced. I paid $250 for the technician to unclog my toilet in less than 10 minutes. I was very grateful that he was able to come the same day and was able to get the job done but would have appreciated my pockets to not be hit so hard. GREAT WORK! OVERPRICED!

I had outside drainage block. when I called they sent someone on Sunday who was a nice person who could open the block and he talked to supervisor three times and was told to return and i was told that someone will come next day. next day another nice gentleman came but said they have to replace the whole drainage for $9800/-. which was not true. I got the job done by another independent contractor for $200.00 . when I contacted Mr. Rooter and asked for refund they refused. They are a big time rip off artists please do not use them particularly if you are a senior. I wish I could give minus five

Robbie Whitley and Rich Bush replaced all the old fixtures in two of our bathrooms. These were tough jobs requiring work on three separate occasions, complicated by currently available fixtures not fitting all the existing tile holes, a defective new part from the plumbing supply house and poor work by a tile company on their part of the project. Robbie made a separate trip to procure a part of very limited availability that allowed him to complete one of the jobs that day without requiring any new tile work. He and Rich worked well past their normal hours to complete the jobs promptly, cleaning up thoroughly while maintaining their professional and upbeat dispositions throughout. Franz, the owner and service manager, was extremely fair in handling the challenges of these jobs. Also on an earlier occasion, Franz answered our after-hours call, diagnosing a failing and leaking hot water heater and sending Robbie and Kevin Donlan the next morning, who skillfully and quickly installed a new unit. Mr Rooter of Baltimore gets my enthusiastic recommendation for all plumbing work.

These guys are total life savers! My plumbers were Joe and Justin, and they ended our MONTHS long trend of having to wash our washes and brush our teeth in the bath tub every day. We called because we noticed water leaking and soaking our carpet coming from behind it water heater. They said they would send someone out in a few hours to install a whole new water heater. The Mr. Rooter plumber was on time, courteous, worked well and answered all my questions. While the final bill for the work exceeded the estimate I received via phone by considerably more than the standard 10% plus or minus, I was satisfied with the work and the end result.

Had an appointment from 11:30-1:30. Never showed up nor called. I called to find out why they were late and they told me they came to the house and I wasn’t there. Also said they called and I didn’t answer. Although I had no missed call or voice. They also did not come to the house because I was there all day. Then tried to push me back another 5 hours And say they would come between 3:00-5:00. After lying to me and then not calling me, nor coming by I wouldn’t recommend them. Very unprofessional and not trust worthy.

He came promptly at the time scheduled, provided a fair quote, and completed the job within minutes of the time he estimated the work would take. I called to have someone come out to fix my shower. I had to turn my main water line off because the shower wouldnt turn off. I have two small children and explained that to them because I need water. I was told I would get a call back in under 15 minutes. I stayed up until 3 am waiting for that call. We have a 1950's house. And our plumbing was uneven causing long term back up issues. Mr. Rooter finally corrected the issues with new pipes. Should have done it years ago, but Mr. Rooter was the only one who told us what the problem was when the came out initially to deal with the back up.

Costly..$363.00 to clear a backed up sewer line. Left a smelly mess behind. Used our paper towels to clean up some of the mess, used a whole roll of toilet paper for something??Terrible experience...would not recommend at all.

THIS IS A SCAM. If I had the option I would've given them zero stars than one star. We agreed on the price for the repairs and I made a deposit. Afterwards, there was more repairs that needed to be fixed so we negotiated on a new price. We did not agree on the new price and so they left and said that my deposit was going to be returned in 3 days time. It has been 10 days and I have yet to receive my deposit back so I called them. Now they are going back on their word and refused to return me my deposit and said that the check was for a different purpose than it was written on the check. THEY DID NOT COMPLETE THE TASK THAT WAS WRITTEN ON THE CHECK AND IS NOW SAYING THAT IT WAS TO PAY THE WORKERS THAT DID NOTHING TO FIX THE NEEDED REPAIRS.

The best thing about Mr Rooter is their plumber Joe Nicholson. He was friendly, courteous, professional and has a great personality! He fixed our drain quickly and efficiently and even gave us a couple of tips to ensure it doesn't clog again! He cleaned up his work and left behind only warm and happy feelings. I would like to say that I am not particular pleased with Mr. Rooter as a company. They have false and misleading coupons and charge exorbitant fees for very easy and simple work! On Friday, April 29 I called Mr.Rooter for a drain problem at my home in Reisterstown. Brandon Freed was the technician who arrived 10 minutes earlier than expected. He was masked & he stopped at my door to put on the work booties before entering. He was very interested to hear what the problem was & what had already been done by my husband and a previous plumber who couldn't solve my drain problem. He worked quietly & efficiently & solved my problem within the hour. He was just the right amount of friendly, not overly chatty. I would definitely give him a 5 star rating and I will recommend him to friends & family, many who have already heard about him from me.

I called them to replace the shower faucet and they sent Richard Bush, who was extremely professional. He wore the shoe covers when entered the premises. He explained what needs to be done and gave me the price afterwards. Even though it was a little pricy, but he did a good job. And they gave the warranty of parts and labor for a year, which was really great. He cleaned up the mess very well. The company should provide him with a small drop clothe so it would be easy on him to clean and customer won't get a chance to complaint. I will hire them again if I need to.

After getting horrible service just to get an estimate from several of the big guys doing hot water heater replacement in Baltimore I stumbled upon Mr. Rooter on Angie's List and asked for a bid.I spoke with Franz literally five minutes after making the initial query. He was receptive to my upgrading from his suggested water heater and gave me all inclusive price on the phone.Several other companies had given me bids on the phone, but beware, when pressed they'll tell you that anything that needs to be included to make code isn't included, like an expansion tank or a floor pan. Gotcha!!!In speaking with Franz he assured me that everything that would be needed to get me code compliant was included in the price and even told me where to find discount coupons to lower the cost.We scheduled the install for Friday 11/23 between 10 and 12. At 10:30 I received a text msg stating that Robbie Whitley would be my installer and that he was on the way.At 11:00 Robbie arrived and before starting he went over the installation with me. He was friendly, courteous, thorough in his detailing the installation and totally professional. Going in I knew that rust and sediment in the tank would be an issue and he was extremely careful to keep the draining process as clean as possible.When Robbie completed the installation you'd never know he'd been there. On completion he explained the new pilot monitoring system, how to adjust the water temperature and the warranty and he was on his way.I would highly recommend Robbie and the folks at Mr Rooter. They were professional, their estimate was honest, accurate and though not the lowest, the ONLY one who gave an estimate on the phone that guaranteed it was all inclusive and this is important.Thank you Mr Rooter!!!!

Very good experience. For the estimate the plumber arrived promptly, quickly diagnosed the problem (leaking tub faucet) and explained it in laymen’s terms. Then gave me an estimate that was less than half that of Len the Plumber.They ordered the part and successfully installed it and stop the leak a couple days later.

From the initial call requesting service to signing off on the service, I couldn't have been happier. He did a thorough inspection of my water pressure valve and pipes inside and out, explained everything, suggested some potential issues to keep an eye on, determined that the valve was working properly and lowered my water pressure to the correct setting. Joe Nicholson was the tech assigned to do a long punch list with several years of accumulated plumbing. My previous plumber had avoided tackling the issues, so I took a chance on mr. Rooter. I had no experience with mr. Rooter, but told that I could get a quote on the plumbing and possibly have it done the same day, ifI approved the quote. Otherwise, there would be no charge for the visit. For a young tech, Joe has an amazingly solid approach to doing the kind of trusted consulting that is necessary for this kind of personal service. He went through my plumbing todo list. each task was explained well enough that I could have easily accomplished most of the work myself. Much of it, I would have considered doing myself, because plumbers are not cheap. However, the simple fact that he laid it all out so clearly gave me the faith to simply lay it all in his hands.. and it was a choice well worth the price. You're not going to do better than Joe Nicholson.

Mr. Rooter replaced our broken water heater within 24 hours of our call, on a Friday before a holiday weekend. So yes, they are responsive and Franz walked me through the process and answered our questions over the phone before we committed to a new water heater. One thing though - ask for a copy of the invoice before paying the deposit. The warranty info was incorrect in the initial invoice, which Mr. Rooter promptly corrected upon our request. I know nothing about water heaters but so far so good on the new water heater. Rich, the technician, was very careful to follow the codes in installing the new water heater, and explained to us clearly what he had done. Rich took away the old broken water heater, and left the work area immaculately clean. He wore a mask in the house the whole time, as well as shoe covers, and was courteous and professional. In terms of price, I think it was pretty much in line with the going rate. All in all, if I have to call a plumber, I would call Mr. Rooter again and ask for Rich based on this experience.

If I can give them a 0 star, I wouldHopeless and dishonest plumbers. Had low pressure in my well system and they sent a so called expert who had no clue what he was doing. They claim to give free estimates - BIGGEST LIE - he charged me over $200 for just checking the pressure in the pressure pump???They then appear to send a WELL EXPERT - WAYNE - who tried to rip me off by giving me a $4K estimate to REPLACE EVERYTHING INCLUDING THE WELL PUMP ETC ETCThank goodness I felt there was something fishy about the estimate as he did not even look at the wellpump, check pressures anywhere or did any kind of diagnostics. Not certain with the estimate, I thankfully called Tri-State Well Services who came, spent 3 hours diagnosing the problem and told me there was nothing wrong with the system and there was possibly a leak in the house draining the well.Lo and Behold - after they left, I went back and rechecked all the faucets in the home and found a leak in the water tank of the guest bathroom - spent $40 on replacement parts and was DONE.DO NOT FALL FOR THESE CROOKS!!!!!

Recently the water pressure regulator valve in the house was broken, because it had constantly sputtering noises suddenly in the evening when I took shower and my wife flushed the toilet at the same time. I called in for help, they said maybe PRV bad. Mr. Rooter technician came over next day, tested the water pressure to make sure it was the vale problem, and replaced it and noises are gone... Although a little pricey, but as long as the job was well done, we are happy with it. Thank you so much.

Had Mikes Plumbers out for a clogged kitchen drain. Charged me $39.00 to show up and tell me they needed to re pipe the drain and clean $565.00. Mr Rooter cleaned drain and did an excellent job, plumber was fabulous, cleaned drain and left me with Bio Chemicals and a 90 day warranty $365.00. Would recommend them for your next job!

Only called these guys after the last guys I used were busy until the next day. They wanted over $700 to clean out a clog after barely even investigating the problem. Used The Plumber Guys last time and they actually diagnosed the issue before doing anything and they charged $325 for an after hours emergency call to snake the whole main line. Ended up renting a snake at Home Depot for $42 and fixed it myself in 5 minutes this time. Even using Len the plumber a few years ago was way cheaper. Please shop around before using Mr. Rooter!!!

The demise of my water heater was always a dreaded day in my mind, but Mr. Rooter definitely made it as painless as possible. I found them through Angie's List and they reached out to me. Franz was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what i needed for my install that would include getting up to code in replacing my 22 year old water heater. The SAME DAY SERVICE was amazing! After calling on a weeknight for an emergency leak from the macerater in the basement, the team sent James Cornish out to our house first thing the next morning. He quickly diagnosed the problem and was super professional by wearing shoe covers and cleaning up the mess from testing and using disinfectant for this icky problem!After diagnosing, he came right back later that day to install and fix the issue (spending about 5 hours here total) he used tarps and took all waste with him! He provided advice of what to do and not do in the future with our plumbing. Super grateful for James and would definitely request again if we ever have another issue.

After trying two other plumbing companies with no luck to try to determine the cause of water entering our basement crawlspace we called Mr. Rooter. A plumbing specialist named Chris came to investigate the cause. Chris was the only person who throughly inspected the pipes, crawlspace and entire outside surrounding area of the house. He even crawled under our deck to inspect along the house, where he found that we have an outside sump pump that had broken, as well as tree roots growing into the discharge pipes. Not only did Chris go above and beyond to determine our problem, he cleared all the built up water, replaced the pump and cleared the drain pipe. He was friendly, professional and clearly knowledgeable. Not only would I highly reccomend Mr. Rooter, I will request Chris specifically in the event of needing to call the company for any future issues.

Had a washing machine pan installed on Thursday by Mr. Rooter, turned the hot water off, left cold on. Washing machine was installed Saturday. Had to call Mr. Rooter to have someone come back, turn hot water on, let the air out of the pipes. Joe Nicholson was the technician. He was extremely helpful and informative and very professional...I was not charged for them to send him back out to turn water back on and check everything.

Needed a new heater and a young man named Phillip worked very hard and did a wonderful job. Would gladly recommend.

We hired them because we had a very small leak in a pipe. They knew that the leak was before the shut-off valve and that the pipes were made of Polybutylene. The technician did not turn off the water and then started fiddling with the pipe. The pipe broke, and water gushed into our basement. They had no idea about how to turn off the water. They called 911, but the fire department couldn't help. Then they called the county, who were able to find the shut-off and turn it off. All this time, water was gushing out of the pipe. They replaced the pipe. The crew that replaced the pipe was very professional. But the technician should have never started working without knowing how to turn off the water. It took many hours for us to clean up all the water in the basement. Adding insult to injury, when I ask the company about it, they said that our insurance could pay for it, it could have been worse, these things happen, and then they tried to convince me that they should do more work on our house. I hired them rather than try to fix it myself because the pipe was obviously leaking before the shut-off (which I had shown the technician) and that the pipes were plastic.

Richard did a great job installing our hot water heater. Our old one broke on Saturday night and he came out the next day by noon, and installed the new hot water heater very quickly. He also cleaned up the water that leaked when the prior heater failed. I never write reviews, but I did because this is easily the best home repair service I have ever dealt with.

I used Mr. Rooter to install a new water heater and a new sump pump. The whole process was quick, seamless, and professional. I created a project through Home Advisor and within 5 minutes I had a call from Mr. Rooter about my project inquiry. They had a technician at my house that afternoon for a free estimate on my sump pump issue. Nate was professional the entire time, and gave me an honest assessment on both my sump pump and my water heater (despite that not even being on the project report) and he did not pressure me into a sale. After thinking it over for a few days, I decided to call back and move forward with the projects. I was transferred to Franz, who was able to diagnose my exact water heater project via FaceTime, but also gave me a discount by doing both the sump pump and water heater together. He then scheduled installation the following day. Robert arrived and installed both the sump pump and water heater. He was professional and extra COVID cautious since my wife is pregnant. The whole project took roughly 4 hours, which was 3 hours less than the estimate I was given, so he was very efficient as well. He left no mess behind and gave a verbal warning any time he was to enter where my wife and I were working, again being very cautious with COVID. From start to finish, I am very impressed with Mr. Rooter for both their honesty, timeliness, and cautiousness with COVID. I will definitely utilize their services again for any future plumbing work needed and would highly recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work, especially if it's urgent.

Woke up with a clogged toilet overflowing to the tub. After a hour of trying to unclog it myself I gave Mr. Rooter. The level of service was fantastic. They gave me a time window for when the Tech would arrive and happily he was early. How often does that happen? Phillip Vo was the tech that handled my problem. He was curtious and skilled at getting the job done. After removing the clogged drain he cleaned up and sanitized the bathroom. I had a couple big scary plumbing issues and got quoted way higher by another company. Jordan from Mr. Rooter came out, showed me it wasn't as big a deal, and quoted me so much lower than the other company that i had him take care of another issue too. Two plumbers arrived on time, got what needed two people to get done done, and the other left for other work, which kept my costs down. He even waited around to see if we could replicate a drip that was giving me some concern. Great service.

Joe Nicholson was our technician and he was AWESOME. There aren't enough superlatives to describe what a great job he did. He fixed a leaky faucet in our kitchen and then tackled a small but aggravating drip in our shower. As it turns out, the set screw was stripped in the shower handle, but that didn't stop Joe. After considerable effort, he got it off, replaced the handle and stopped the drip. He is amazing and I commend Mr. Rooter for hiring such fine employees. If the need arises, we will definitely use them again and request Joe for our service. THANK YOU!!

He had to correct the issue of plumbing on the outside of the wall to be put back in properly and when he could start and about how long it would take. He showed up on time even with the snow, worked from 8:30-6:00 and cleaned up the mess he made. He and his assistant Cory did a very good job. Joe did a great job. He cleared long standing back up. Came on time, made thorough analysis, gave reasonable estimate, went to work efficiently, did excellent clean up, and gave me valuable tips on keeping pipes clean. Personable, clean, great representative of the company.

The plumber was called on an insurance claim job and informed that water damage mitigation was to follow. The leak was a broken O ring and the wood was so wet he was unable to screw the O ring in, but installed the toilet anyway saying the mitigation specialist would remove it. The mitigation specialist said they were unable to do that and just set up fans and dehumidifiers. The contractor who is supposed to do the inspection said he was unable to inspect it because the toilet is back on and that there is no way to make sure the wood dries or is even safe unless the toilet is removed. Mr. Rooter representative said it was my responsibility to tell them not to reinstall the toilet but for an additional $285 they would remove it (this after charging $624 to do the job improperly). I am reporting them to the BBB and the insurance company and taking them to small claims for any additional sums and any sum the insurance company says we're improper.

When Ronny arrived, he was professional and got right to work. Showed him the issue and walked through what the next steps are and got the sink fixed. The sink was replaced in no time and would recommend.

Our well system is very out-of-date and started to leak recently. We hired two plumbers but they both could not fix the problem quickly. Then we called Mr Rooter. John came in 30 minutes when we called and suggested that we should replace the well pipes, cap and the pump because they were too old and got rusted everywhere. We talked to Franz, the owner, about the price, which is a bit pricy ( actually we realize later it is worth it regarding the high quality and rapid work). The next day, John and Justin came in the morning, and do the job very carefully. It took them about five hours to finish it, and the output is wonderful. We cannot ask more. John is a very decent guy and explained everything to us carefully. The funniest part is that he also is a septic inspector and educated us on how to find the septic pipes with two wires. John’s work is very pretty and Justin is also a very responsive and hard-working. We cannot ask for more. We feel lucky to bump into Mr Rooter on google when frustrated with the well issue. We definitely want to recommend it to all who wanna a quick fix. It is worthy paying a bit more for the return of quick and professional fix.😊

Mr. Rooter responded to my message within the hour and with in the next 2 hours I had an appointment set the next morning for a new water heater/install.Jordan and Arya arrived within the stated time and Jordan gave me a thorough briefing of what they were going to do and what was needed shut off in the home (water & water heater breaker). Being an interested person, I asked questions and Jordan was very accommodating and informative. As Arya finished up securing the water heater install, I had Jordan look at my Main Water valves as they were, shall we say, they had calcium deposits and slime on them. He explained they obviously have been leaking a tad and for a long time and should be replaced with newer shut off valves explaining the newer valves are both safer and sturdier. We were apprehensive, as our HWH was original to the home (circa 1953), and assumed there would be complications in converting to a newer product. I have only good things to say about the work that Robbie Whitley, Service Technician, and his 2-man crew did in my apartment today. They came promptly in the morning, I was notified when they would be here, and they were on time. They were very careful to put on shoe covers when walking in my apartment, and removing them when needed. I was shown the work that they were contracted to do, at each step of the way, and when each contracted work was completed, I was shown that as well. This is why I have highlighted a 5-star work performance for all three of the people who worked on the contracted items. Hopefully, all will go well, and no further calls will be needed! This morning we woke up to a flooded room in our basement. We gave Mr. Rooter a call, and they immediately sent out a technician named Robert Whitley. He did an amazing job in a timely manner. I would definitely use them again.

After I called Mr. Rooter to schedule my appointment, a technician arrived at my house in less than two hours and was ready to complete the job. Everything went well and I would hire again.

I love my plumber explain everything perfect and would recommend them anytime Rob and rich great duo .

They replaced a 20’ long drain under my concrete floor in my utility room. They did it in one day, jackhammering, laying the pipe, filling it with gravel and new concrete. I suggest you put up plastic on doorways to stop the concrete dust from the jackhammering, but I am pleased with the result. I do recommend them-even for big jobs like this

Our technician Brandon was very professional and courteous. He gave us clear information about our problem and what he would be able to do for us. He cleared the drain connecting our kitchen to the drain in our basement and cleaned up nicely afterwards. We were very grateful for his help and the cost was not unreasonable.

We needed a plumber to come help with the water line to our new refrigerator. Joe Nicholson arrived on time and was very polite. He looked at our setup and gave me estimates for two different options on how to fix it. Once we decided what to do, he was actually able to implement the fix right then so while I was prepared to take time out of at least two days for this he fixed in under an hour!

Mr. Robbie Whitley was the plumber that came and service my house and he was easy to talk to and very nice.

We have been having numerous issues with my main drain within the last couple of months, and we decided to give Mr. Rooter a chance and do the hyrdojet (hydroscrub). We sent in a contact request on Monday evening, and Tuesday morning they called me, discussed thoroughly over the phone what the Hydro Scrub was, the cost, what that service included, and what it would solve. I was given an estimated time for Tuesday between 11am-1pm. By 9:15am, Jordan was already on his way, and he was there before 10:30am. He inspected and listened to everything we were going through, and proceeded to do the hydro scrub. Him and his team did an incredible job, were thorough, didn't leave a mess, were up front on everything they were doing, and there were no surprise fees. Jordan is fantastic, and I will ALWAYS recommend this company to anyone who may need it. It took about 3 hours total to do, but he did 4000 psi of water pressure, and put about 400 gallons of water through our drains to ensure the problem was resolved.

Excellent same day service!! We had a main drain line backing up sewage into our basement and had originally scheduled service with a different big name plumbing company only to have them cancel the appointment twice at the last minute and then tell us they couldn’t get there until the next day. Luckily we called Mr. Rooter, and although it was a Saturday evening by this point their technician James Cornish arrived within 45 minutes. He was friendly, professional and neat upon arrival. He gave options for the repair and completed the work the same day. When the work was done he even left the work area cleaner than he found it. Definitely would use the service again and highly recommend asking for James.

I smelled some gas coming from the water heater. I rarely look in the utility closet but it was obvious the thing needed to be replaced. I called for two estimates. One came earlier so both companies showed up around the same time. Robbie Whitley was quick and efficient with his quote. He even waited while I spoke to the other company. He left his card and I felt no pressure to make a split decision. I called him 5 minutes later and he came right back to complete the job. I just felt comfortable with him. He is very personable. Review 1: After dropping $1,500 on a well known plumbing company in Baltimore, our shower still refused to drain. We ended up calling Mr. Rooter. They sent Jordan Wizinsky out, on the same day, and within 30 minutes managed to remove a truly monstrous buildup of gunk and hair; likely dating back to the 1930s. Jordon is an extremely knowledgable, professional, and courteous plumber. I had a good conversation with him while he worked. He provided good tips and suggestions to avoid this situation in the future.Review 2: Our ice-maker valve for the fridge broke and couldn't be turned off. James Cornish came out within hours of my call, even though it wasn't an emergency. He did a very nice job replacing the busted valve and the section of pipe the old valve was attached to. He's polite, courteous, and professional. He thoroughly documented the entire process and explained everything he did in detail.Overall: Mr. Rooter's prices are both realistic and reasonable, especially when compared with other companies in the area. Tim Chester is unreal. He went above and beyond and I couldn’t have imagined anyone else doing the extent of what he did by getting dirty with our plumbing issue. He came out and told us that he wasn’t going to leave until we had water going and the issue was taken care of and he kept his word. He got to our house at a little after 1 PM and didn’t leave until roughly 5:30PM. The amount that he went through in order to figure out what the issue was and continue to pursue a solution regardless of what it took meant a lot to our family. I could not say better things about him.

I am very pleased with the service Mr. Rooter's technician, Justin Wizinsky, provided in replacing the toilet in my upstairs master bathroom. He was professional, efficient, and polite. He did a thorough inspection of the new toilet I had purchased at a hardware store before installing it and found a crack that was difficult to see at first. He even waited for me to go to the hardware store to return it and pick up a new replacement. My Dad who was our number one guy for all the handiwork around our house unexpectedly & suddenly passed away last week and it took us all by surprise. Over the last year or so my father had been plunging and snaking our tub repeatedly and it became an almost daily occurrence within the last three weeks, plus the snake broke inside the pipe about six months ago and became stuck...we had called Mr. Rooter for an estimate last year and while they were professional and quick my Dad decided against having work done. Well considering all that has happened in the last week and the fact that the water just would not drain out of the tub we had to get help fast! I called Mr. Rooter at 5pm and explained what was happening and they had someone dispatched who showed up at 7pm. Mr. Benjamin Turner was the technician who showed up and they were absolutely great, both professional and personable! Mr. Turner informed us exactly what the problem was and was able to come back the very next afternoon! It was such a swift diagnosis and fix and I only wish my Dad were here to thank him because it can be so easy for companies to take advantage of families but the integrity of this company is evident within their employees. The water hose to my ice maker sprung a leak and James came to fix it. He did a great job -fast, neat, and very professional. I would highly recommend him for any plumbing need.

I had a water line suddenly spring a leak yesterday, couldn't find the source so I closed off the water main and went looking for a plumber this morning - found Mr. Rooter, saw great Google reviews, called them, and 1.5 hrs later they were here on normal rates, not emergency rates. The plumber Rich and I spent about 1/2 hr figuring out the source of the leak (icemaker water filter line from basement to kitchen), then it was a relatively quick fix. He also discovered the water filter housing itself had a tiny leak - we suspect a water pressure surge was involved so I'm having them come out again to replace the 30 yr old water pressure regulator valve - can't afford to have my basement flood again. I would highly recommend Rich to anyone - he was as good as it gets - polite, smart, and he worked with me in diagnosing the problem, didn't have a go away and let me do my job attitude, which as an ex-engineer I greatly appreciate.

I can't thank enough Rob and the front office personnel at Mr. Rooter out of Baltimore. This business actually takes their customers into account and are the professional team, whereas, the appointment was made and upheld around our timeline with no excuses. Rob actually listened fully, observed all our concerns, and analyzed professionally all that needs done and their urgency or need of. He then sat down to discuss all our options, price things out, and explain in full details what he saw as a professional, and the recommendation, without wasting our time, and extra money on unnecessary fixes. As he left to give my wife and I time to discuss, per our request, he did not charge us for the service charge, even if we would have called back another plumber. My wife and I only needed a minute or two, as he made it an easy and cost-effective decision on our part. I immediately called, and their front office did not mind turning him back around to complete the job immediately. Although I always keep things clean, he chose to do as much as he could himself as to not leave me any worry. As stated in my comments, the team gave my family and I a feeling of sound mind, receiving, knowing and seeing the results as a simple fix without the hassle.This is a secondary review adding many thanks and appreciation to Rob and the team that supervises and assigns him. Just a day after his well deserved vacation, I requested him to return as a good faith and continue our customer relationship and trust in him. And although he will never admit to it, he kept scratching his head as to not get stomped and return to his vacation spot with the mess that he detected. My concern seemed to be a simple clogged sink that I could not seem to close back up without it leaking. After a few hours and multi-excavations to resolve the whole problem, for the same fair and reasonable price quoted at the start of the job, he unclogged my entire toilet, shower, and sink all the way out the house. Our plumbing system, which originally was connected backwards apparently, took redoing and converting to better pipe material and more direct connection as to not collect as much drain debris over time. He also advised me on how to maintain and possible fixes and replacements I should consider in the near future as preventive measures from having more expensive issues and incidents occurring.

James was tremendously hard-working and a meticulous eye for detail He had to try four different parts - go to a store and he did it all with character , integrity and a smile.

I called Mr. Rooter for an emergency drainpipe clog that was backing water into the toilet/shower in the lower part of our house. This was a Saturday morning, and the plumber who I normally use was unavailable. I phoned at about 8:15 am and they had someone at the door in less than 3 hours. The technician was courteous, professional, and got the drain unplugged (pulled the toilet, used a big drain machine to unclog the problem, put it all back together, and cleaned up the smelly mess). I wouldn't mind if the service cost less, but faster trumped cheaper!

Zero stars is the actual review rating. The window given was 3pm to 5pm. We kept getting the run around about where the plumber was. He left his tools at another job site. What kind of plumber leaves his tools? Plumber showed up at 5:45pm, took one look at the sink, and came up with a price of $363. Others may charge less but this is what we charge. But you can use a $50 coupon online if you like. We were told we would be given $50 of for the inconvenience. By my math, that's $263 of you include the online coupon. Best I can do for you is $300. No, the best you can do is leave, thank you, and have a nice day.
