There are simply not enough hours in the day to describe how jimmy helped me in an emergency yesterday on one of the coldest days of the year.
After Michael and sons sold me a state of the art sophisticated expensive HVAC system, I've had nothing but trouble. The worst part is that Michael and sons does not have the resources to service their clients.
I am a cancer patient undergoing chemo therapy which makes patients cold.
My heat broke for the third time in 7 days and Michael and sons said they could get to my home maybe before midnight. I found jimmy online and called out of desperation. He sent his guys over in an hour and they fixed the system within minutes.
Needless to say, moving forward I will always call Jimmy

Came out same day we called- estimate went toward cost of repair. Came back twice more to make repairs. Every technician was very knowledgable and polite. Each technician was a good communicator- explained everything to us in terms we could understand. Replumbed boiler, problem-solved when it still didn't work (busted fuse- not their fault!), and got it working the very next day . I highly recommend.

My heat stopped working about 2 days ago in this very cold winter. Home with 3 kids and working with space heaters was not going to be a long term solution. I needed service but worried I'd be ripped off and told I needed a whole new boiler (it's pretty old). I found Gusky just doing a Google search and couldn't be more pleased. t was scheduled for a same day appointment and my specific time request was honored. The serviceman texted me 30 min out to say he was on his way. He arrived precisely on time. He identified the problem, explained it to me in terms I could understand, fixed the broken part and was done in 25 minutes! And best of all the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.
I only use these guys when I have small issues with my piping system. They always do a good job. Although the last time I used their services I had to call them back after the problem came back. All in all they did a good job afterwards.

HVAC technician wreaked of cigarette smoke, I told him what the problem was and he said it wasn't that and spent 45 minutes fumbling with our HVAC unit to only then say that I was right. He then quoted me $289 to install a pressure switch which retails on Amazon for $49.99 and would take less than 15 minutes to install.

I called Jimmy Gusky, as my Dad’s AC stoped working. His house was really hot, 83 degrees. I explained, that my Dad was 95 and we need assistance immediately. Jimmy juggled his already booked schedule and made it a priority; fixing the AC within a couple of hours. It was repair with a human touch! Call Jimmy Gusky!
I highly recommend these guys. Punctual, professional, and knowledegeable. If I ever have a anither plumbing problem in the future, I will definitely call them again.

One of their Drivers came flying through our neighborhood at 50mph I know this because I pulled out behind him after dropping my children off at daycare and paced him in the town of Ridgely during the morning hours when children get on the bus!! I could only imagine their services being as wreckless and rushed as this driver was! Completely unprofessional.

Had a great experience with Jimmy's team. My heat went out over the holidays and they were able to come out quickly and give me my options to repair or replace. I opted for replacement of both my furnace and AC as they were both over 20 years old. The team handled the installations efficiently and had plenty of men here to handle it on one day. They came back the next day to install chimney liner and another small job. Very happy with the results and their good advice. I will use them again.
Honest plumbing company. During the single digits degree days, my pipes froze. Jimmy gave me great advice on how to take care of it myself... He wasn't interested in making a house call just for the sake of billing me. Later, when my hot water heater started leaking, and I knew who to call. This is a trustworthy, efficient, hardworking business that gets the job done right.
Needed new furnace/AC system for rental property. Tom Kelly came over same day and gave me an estimate. Had quotes from 2 other companies but chose Jimmy Gusky's company. Tom explained in detail what was needed (equipment, type of furnace & AC, the need to line the chimney to adhere to DC codes/safety etc. ) and he made his recommendations. He also gave us a special discount that brought the cost down but still installed top of the line equipment. The work was scheduled the next day and completed in 1 day as he had a crew to complete the job. Tom is professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this company and they will be servicing all my HVAC and Plumbing needs in the future.

I used this company via a Home Warranty Service that I have. My HVAC went out on June 2. It is still not fixed. I was informed that the repair that my system needed would take too long and they didn't have the time. They came out to my property 4 times. Each time they said it would be fixed. My problem still isn't fixed. I have requested for them to never return to my property again. They are not responsive at all. It seems like they send technicians that have just graduated from some kind of tech school and don't know what they are doing but know how to highjack the system. The technicians say it is going to work and then when they return they change their story. If I could not give them a star I wouldn't.
On customer service alone, (no one showed up) I have no choice but to give 1 star. Two days ago the boiler stopped lighting. I scheduled someone to come out 1-4 yesterday, took half a day at work. At 330 I called for a status update, spoke to someone in the office who sounded like they forgot or mismanaged the booking. They stated I would get a call back from her or someone that was on the road fairly quickly. After an hour, well after the window, I called back for a status and had to leave a voicemail. No call back. Totally unacceptable. I had another company already at the house and have a part ordered by the time JG actually called me back, just now. Would not recommend.

I registered on their website and set an appointment and even spoke with someone who was polite. However, they never showed up and despite emails and several calls have yet to respond. No professional courtesy or follow-up. Things happen but its not ok to treat customers this way.

Terrible customer service and abysmally slow work. Gusky's plumber came out to inspect a water heater on a Saturday. His report wasn't submitted until the following Wednesday. An appointment for installation was made on a Friday for the following Monday just to receive word on Monday, shortly before the appointment, that Gusky did not have the equipment. Phone calls are rarely answered and voicemails are never returned. When the phone is answered, the receptionist often says she'll relay the message. No return calls have followed. Gusky has left us two weeks without hot water and little confidence that their work will be completed.

We used Jimmy and his team to install a new AC system in our home. Obviously doing this in a Georgetown home is no easy task. His crew was great. They were hard working and professional. Jimmy was easy to communicate with and stood behind his work. When we had an issue a month later, he sent his crew out to get it fixed.
Probably the most unprofessional HVAC company I have been in contact with. Lack of communication and urgency. Cancelled my appointment after not hearing from them for several hours.
I had a fantastic experience. Jimmy personally came to my home on a hot night on short notice when my air conditioning stopped working. I have a toddler so it was a dire situation. Jimmy understood. He went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. His colleague, Carlos, also helped and was very professional and thorough. I highly recommend the business for air conditioner services. Also, there were NO UPSELL tactics which is refreshing nowadays.
Jimmy Gusky has repeatedly let me down. Poor response rate, never finished a job, and had technicians that just ghosted. I strongly do not encourage anyone to use this service.
Don't bother. Not only did they not show up, they lied to my tenant saying they had never heard from us as they had nothing on the schedule. Oddly Jimmy, who I spoke with personally, had given me a price and an email to confirm and send the address. I had cc'd my tenant so they knew it was not true. a business who doesn't even manage basic communication properly is bound to do this often. A wasted Sat morning for my tenanr. ;(

We were very pleased with Jimmy and his team's work on removing our old water heater and installing a new tankless water heating system.
After a thorough evaluation, the work had been fairly priced and done in one day, - quickly, professionally, and accurately.
We'd recommend this company for all your HVAC needs.
Using Jimmy is a great choice. My first experience is a complicated leak that needs to be seen in action and so I wasn't charged for the initial visit which is a first in my book! I did have a frozen pipe last month and Jimmy sent one of his staff and it was fixed promptly and professionally and reasonably.

The first time I dealt with this company they told me they would come by the following day to fix my hot water heater. After taking off of work and sitting at home all day no plumber ever showed up nor did I receive a phone call explaining why. I called Jimmy at the end of the day and he assured me someone would be out the next day. I took another day off and once again no show/no call. I called a third time. This time I asked if someone could come out on the weekend since I didn't want to take off a third day from work. Jimmy once again assured me that someone would be out. And once again no show/no call. Fast forward several months later and I have a separate plumbing issue. Despite everything that happened prior to this I contacted Jimmy about this issue. This time however I contacted two other plumbers as back up insurance. Whoever showed up first would get the job and I would cancel the other two. Surprisingly one of his plumbers was the first to show. The plumber was here less than 30 minutes, replaced a ball valve and charged me $400. Since a ball valve only costs a few dollars I can only assume the majority of that is labor. I'm clearly in the wrong business. (This was not an emergency/holiday/weekend so that is the regular rate.) In summary can't count on them to show up and when they do show up they are way too expensive.
I would recommend them without a doubt. Professional, fast and great pricing. I will use them for all my plumbing needs
I had previously given this company high marks for the furnace that they had replaced. I then hired them to do a simple shower faucet replacement, this has turned into a nightmare! They do not communicate, schedule, and no show. I am looking into firing them and bringing in another company to clean up this mess AND make my bathroom usable again. I have found out that the plumbing was installed too far back from the tile surface, so the knobs will not go on as they should. FMITA!
Pros:
Jimmy picked up phone when I called
I was able to schedule an appt for the following day
The person who came (not Jimmy) called in advance soon before he arrived (though not at the planned time)
The person who showed up unclogged the toilet in about 10 mins
No problems in that toilet since then, about a month ago
Cons:
There was a second guy who came along, maybe an apprentice -- he reeked of weed, eyes totally glazed, seemed like he was in another universe-- I was close to sending them away, seemed really unprofessional, but I needed the work done
A minute before unclogging the toilet the guy doing the work said they were going to have to disconnect the toilet to find the clog, which would be a big long job-- I was concerned what that would mean in terms of cost and didn't want the high guy involved in anything --
while relieved when the snake worked moments later, I was confused about how after only 10 mins he was going to try to rope me into a big project when based on what happened that would not have been necessary
The guy said it would be $190 -- I said wow that's really expensive for taking 10 mins with a snake unclogging a toilet, he said okay $150-- I just paid it since it was my fault I didn't confirm pricing in advance with Jimmy but if you are looking for a fair price I wouldn't say that's what I got
On my original call with Jimmy I also said I wanted a quote for some heating work in the basement-- he said I would get a call from someone else to set that up -- it's a heating and plumbing business but I guess the workers do one or the other -- and no one ever called
I would consider doing business with them again on short notice if necessary because they are in the area but I would confirm pricing up front and with more lead time I would try to find someone else

I had an old unit ac with some physical damage that needed to be replaced. I was planning an upcoming full scale renovation so I did not want to replace this unit now, only to have to get rid of it in 6 wks. The tech was able to get the unit working and stave off replacement, didn't argue with me about what I wanted to do and saved a wasted unit.
Very experienced, efficient, effective, flexible. Fixed our water heater quickly and with minimal fuss. Rates are entirely reasonable.

Great experience came buy on the same day when they were very busy due to extreme heat...always polite and knowledgeable. Plus Jimmy answers the phone makes it easy to explain problems to somone who work with ac/heat units
Highly recommend. When my HVAC died I called three companies for estimates. The first (Gary Frank Heating and Cooling) never showed for their appointment. The second (John C. Flood) showed on time but asked an obscene $11.6k for a new HVAC unit. The third (Jimmy Gusky) showed on time and quoted me $4k less than John C. Flood for a comparable unit. So if you’re looking for an honest business to replace your HVAC or heat pump, this is it.
I've received great HVAC service in the past from Jimmy Gusky and I wish I could write a positive review for the new AC and furnace units I purchased through them (over $6,000). I mentioned from the beginning the need for sound insulation/lining in the return ducts due to voices/noise that carry from the basement to upstairs and vice-versa. I was told if I bought a new furnace in addition to new AC unit now they could really get to all the ductwork to properly insulate it. So I did. They did the install on everything and despite having to get them back out a couple times, they were responsive and did a good job overall. However, upon further inspection the return ducts were never sound lined AS WRITTEN IN THE CONTRACT. I made a couple of calls suggesting an amicable solution as I still want the work done. They have ignored my last calls and emails. Disappointed and still waiting for resolution, Jimmy. Do not recommend.
I have used Jimmy Gusky for small and large HVAC projects, and minor plumbing issues. He can usually get someone there that day or the next to come look at the issue. Every time, they have explained the issue to me thoroughly and fixed it quickly. Prices are very fair.

I hired Jimmy Gusky, LLC for a boiler install, water-heater re-install, and a difficult re-piping job. They do good work and have fair prices. I would recommend them to anyone.
Completely unprofessional. Appointment scheduled from 5-7pm window and no one ever showed up. Live in gated area visitors/contractors just press call box, provide address of service, and are let in by security—when we called around 6:45 to see if this company was still coming for appointment, Jimmy was laughing in background with female and was obviously distracted. Could not even answer the question of whether the technician he sent even pressed call box and said he didn’t come to appointment and “didn’t know”—if you don’t want to waste your time, don’t call this business for service on HVAC.
Top notch, five-star experience for replacing an entire HVAC system.
Estimate and Responsiveness: Tom K. was our point of contact and I suggest asking for him by name. Tom has an easy going attitude, is very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. We talked through the details of what I wanted to get done and he was able to generate a very fair and reasonable estimate. I never had a problem getting a hold of him by phone or text and his responses were always quick. He coordinated everything for our demo, carpenter work and installation and everything went smoothly. He kept me informed each day as to what time I could expect the next day's activities.
Demo: Kenny and John made short-work of removing the old system. They used drop cloths and made sure to keep a tidy work space. They quickly dismantled and removed the system without an incident. Both are very friendly guys and easy to talk with and they know their trade well.
Carpentry: Part of our project required removing drywall, replacing insulation as well as leveling the floor. Amado was off the charts good. Very professional and detail oriented, just a great experience as he made easy work of the project and cleaned everything up when he was done.
Installation: Again had the A-team of Kenny and John complete the installation of the new system. As mentioned, the guys know their stuff and it was a seamless install. They got me hooked up quickly, did a diagnostic check, installed a new thermostat and made sure everything was working. Polite and friendly guys with the right combination of experience and knowledge to make the job an overall great experience. Jimmy G even stopped in himself to ensure we were happy with everything.
Overall, the kind of experience you want and expect to have from estimate to install. I have no issues or complaints. I'd deal with the team members mentioned above and have no reservation about recommending them. Five-star worthy experience.

These guys are horrible. You can't reach them on the phone. It took them 2 weeks to provide a diagnosis to AHS to approve repairs.
Called them to come and get and estimate. They didn't call me until two days later. Set up an a appointment for the next day between 11am-1pm. They said the technician would call me when he would be on his way. Waited the whole time and no one called me. Finally called them back at 1.20pm and they didn't even know why I wasn't called back or where the technician was. They just said, he will be there soon. Offered to reschedule for two days later. I declined their services. Their lack of response and professionalism was terrible. I am glad I did not engage in a formal business relationship with this company. Who knows the type of delays or problems I would have had to face if I actually decided to contract with them.

Our AC unit was on its last leg and unable to cool earlier this August. We were fortunate our home warranty plan assigned us to Jimmy Gusky HVAC company. We live in area (Potomac) that is accustomed to excellent service and pleased to say Jimmy Gusky and team did not disappoint. They replaced the outside compressor and attic unit that had a narrow ceiling opening to access it. The service crew went to great lengths to carefully remove the top ladder steps and ceiling framing to install a new unit spec’ed correctly to cool/heat the upper floor but 3” wider than the original one installed when the home was build 20 years ago. All of the work exceeded expectations and was done in a timely manner. Not a good summer with so many 90+ days to be without AC, but Jimmy Gusky HVAC Co made it a good experience. AC cools great, better than the original one did even when it was new back in 2000. Thank you again!

Had them do a new AC and Heating unit install in August which went great. About 3 months later had an issue with our ventilation system which they did not install (carbon monoxide) and they came out three times in same day I called to clear it up (at no charge). Great service and responsiveness. Would highly recommend!

Jimmy had installed a pressure reducing valve on our old furnace in 2017. By accident, I must have turned off the water to the furnace and so the pressure value wouldn’t work. We thought the part went bad. Jimmy agreed to come out for a service call and to repair or replace the part if necessary at no charge. When his technician realized what had happened, he called Jimmy and explained the situation and he left without charging us any fees. We are grateful to Jimmy for his generosity and intend to continue to use him for all of our furnace needs!
Called last Thursday to schedule an appointment, we agreed upon 11-1 on Monday. I came home early from work, and took vacation time to stay at home to wait for the tech. No Show. They finally called at 345 asking if they could reschedule. Cant trust someone to fix a furnace, if they cant meet the basic obligation of an appointment. Will be looking for new company to do the work.
I had work done a few years ago. I know different people have different experiences, but this has been mine.
First of all, they would get high marks for responsiveness, at least initially. I was in a real jam when our AC conked out during a heat wave. They came the next day and installed a new unit 3 days later.
Here are the issues:
1) I know this might sound petty, but when the manager came out to give an estimate, if he said once he said 25 times, “the guys will put down drop cloths and wear shoe covers.” Well, not one drop cloth or shoe cover.
2) After a while it seemed that my unit was running really loudly. Only then did I look behind the some venting to see that they had ‘sealed’ the vent run with a piece of cardboard cut off from the box and a couple of pieces of tape that not surprisingly blew off after a couple of days of heavy use.
3) Dial ahead a couple of years and there was an overflow from my condensation pump. I was afraid of some major systemic problem so I called a tech. Fortunately, it was minor. He found that there was a sediment ring around the PVC because it was flat and plumb against the bottom. He explained that it should be cut at an angle and not touch the bottom, to prevent this very thing. He added that because this is the last thing the installers do they often don’t bother to do it right.
4) Remember that I qualified my comment about responsiveness. Seems to be that when a smaller company does an $8K job they might follow up with a call to see how everything went. I never heard another word. A couple of months later I called and asked for an estimate to install a humidifier. No response.
My unit still keeps our home cool in the summer and warm in the winter but my experience was less than 5-star.
Jimmy and his team are great! They’ve helped us in multiple homes over the past several years. They are honest, affordable and reliable. Recommend to anybody needing HVAC work!

AC out for 9 days, 2 missed workdays, no resolution in sight. Call them if you like; don't rely on them.
Technician came out on a Friday, was not prepared to do the work. Rescheduled for Monday with the technician.
No call/no show on Monday. Called Jimmy who swore he thought the appointment was over the weekend. (If that's true, they no-showed over the weekend so I'm not sure what the lie bought him. Taking Monday off work wasn't easy.) Rescheduled for Saturday with Jimmy, personally.
Called Friday at 3pm to confirm. No appointment on the books.
Had an appointment today from between 1pm and 3pm. It is now 8:10pm. No one has called. I have made 7 separate phone calls and the only thing they will tell me is that they will message the technician. My mother in law is coming home from brain surgery tomorrow and if she doesnt have working ac, she could die. Why has no one called me? This is completely unacceptable.
As part of the install, I was required to call and have them come out on a 70 degree day to top off the systems they installed in December. This week was in the 70s so I called them. I spoke with a very please receptionist that promptly called me back after I left a message. The service technician was scheduled and he made it here within the allocated time period and was courteous and responsive. He checked the system and then was on no bill... all part of the December install. So, I read some bad reviews of these guys and I have worked with the install team and daily support desk, no issues at all with any Jimmy Gusky staff to report. Smooth sailing.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. A technician visited to service an HVAC unit that was not working but left part way through the visit, mentioning that they didn't have a part and were going to go get it to finish the job. The never returned. Not only did they not return, but they didn't call to update us with what was going on either. We were just left waiting and wondering with no heat in below freezing temperatures. I called the number listed for the company for more information -- as it turns out, the technician simply didn't know how to fix the problem. It had nothing to do with a missing equipment part. Lied to and left hanging.

Live in an apartment building they apparently handle... I’ve had my heat out for going on 2 1/2 weeks. I’ve called my leasing agency multiple times as they’ve insisted they put in a request for inspection in multiple times. NEVER got a call from the company. MY APARTMENT HAS BEEN 80+ degrees for weeks. Then, when I finally get their direct number from my leasing office, the receptionist who picks up the phone is rude, short and condescending as though it’s my fault that my house is 80 something degrees and I’ve done something wrong (I.e. giving the wrong number,) when in reality, they have simply NEVER responded.
She then told me her name is as Carolina, after requesting her supervisor, who apparently was not present when I no longer wanted to speak to her.
And...... still waiting in heat at least one more day
Seeing as my appointment is 10-3 tomorrow. Hopefully they finally show.
We used Jimmy Gusky because of the great reviews, and we have a preference for using small, local service providers when they come with such strong reviews. Unfortunately, for A/C replacement and duct repair, our experience was absolutely terrible. They were great to speak with, and kind. But when it came time to get the work done, they were just waaaaay out of their class. The new, top-end unit was running at its highest speed and couldn’t cool our average DC townhouse to less than 80 degrees. Their response “That might be the way it works.” Seriously? After more than $12,000 with Gusky, we hired Sila and they shook their heads when they saw how the Air Handling Unit had been installed. Besides obvious leaks where they hadn’t sealed it, they had an unnecessary return-air set up. Sila’s Tech’s words were “This is irresponsible. It’s just wrong to treat people this way.”
So Gusky may be wonderful at some repairs and other items, but in my experience, they should be avoided for system replacement.
James was efficient, and fixed both my issues. Definitely recommend them.

Reasonable rates, good work on tme and excellent service.
Our heat broke following a snow storm. Another company told us they would come out to fix it but canceled on us. Jimmy Gusky sent someone the same day they were called, and went on to our flat roof with some snow still on it even though another company refused, ordered a part, came back the next day to install it. Their technician, Carlos, was professional and efficient.

When the condenser fan motor died on our 20-year-old AC, we called Jimmy Gusky to replace the whole thing. They responded immediately, and had a new condenser and air handler in our home in four days. Their price was less than the competition, and Jimmy even came by to check on the installation. A first-class company.
They did a great job!!! I had a clogged drain and was about to go on vacation the next day. They made an evening service call and got me back in business quick!!!
I was told one thing by a representative for the company and told a totally different story by my warranty company. Miscommunication is very unprofessional and a waste of money and time.
My experience with this company was very pleasant. The technicians were very cordial and professional. So far I have not had any problems with the new heater that was installed. Yes, based on my experience with them I would recommend this company to others.
This had to be the worst experience I've had in my entire life. To sum everything up, several HVAC experts (who really knew nothing about HVAC or customer service) came to my house to try to fix a leaking HVAC. Everyone who came was utterly incompetent, and the owner did an awful job of managing his people. Some did not show up, and others merely tried to to fake fixes. They were essentially scam-artists at work. I would never use them again, and I would recommend that you stay far away. I am quite surprised at the fairly high ratings they have received. This was the most frustrating customer service experience ever.

Water was leaking from the upstairs bathroom damaging the ceiling and walls of the bathroom directly below. Larry was on time, very pleasant and even more efficient. Problem solved in less than an hour. Gusky always provides excellent service. I’ve used this business several times with absolutely no complaint.

After a comedy-of-errors mishap involving the car and the HVAC unit, I needed a professional opinion and called Jimmy Gusky. He came out to evaluate our HVAC unit and ran a few tests and assessments before determining it wasn't nearly as bad as it could've been. He was prompt, polite and honest and I really appreciated his time and insight.
Clear explanations during evaluation and sales. Went out of their way to provide a loaner AC unit during brutal summer heat before actual HVAC installation. Negative is I'm still waiting on follow up wrt small unfinished piece of work.

Just wanted to share my experience. First, they came out to inspect my hot water heater and provided clear and understandable explanations on what needed to be fixed, this is why I didn't give a 1 star. I had a very different experience with the HVAC. I had a intermittent problem where my heat would sometimes turn on and sometimes not, which I agree is a tricky problem, but that's why I called a professional. The 1st time, they didn't show, didn't call me and I called them to cancel after they were 30min past their latest time. When they came out later the next day or so they saw the problem or they symptom of the heat not turning on. They inspected a few things, didn't make any changes and it worked the 2nd time, so they reported it was working even though the problem existed when they got there, they didn't change anything it magically worked. I called later that day when it stopped working they said they would contact me but didn't. I contacted them about 1-2 days later when I didn't hear anything and they said they probably need to replace a part. They came out twice in 1 day because they brought the wrong part. They replaced the part which cost 4 times the cost of the part, even though replacing it too 15min and was held in by 2 screws and 2 push on wires. This did not fix the problem so I texted and left a message through their website and never heard anything from them. I have since called another company who fixed the issue after coming out once
Exceptional service, very responsive, sticks to the timelines promised, and adjusts well to unforeseen issues. Expensive, but definitely worth it.
Update, I used Jimmy Gusky a second time and I was very impressed. I had a plumbing issue and he came out to give an estimate and suggested course of action that that did not involve hiring him for the job. I sincerely appreciate the honest and integrity that he showed.

Jimmy Gusky was awful. They were selected to complete some plumbing work, through my home warranty. Two plumbers showed up during the time frame without tools. They had to borrow my drill to open an access panel. The employee tried to a saw blade as a screw driver. When looking at the leaky shower head the one man just pulled it out of the wall. Causing waster to leak down inside of the wall. They said they had to call Jimmy the owner to see what they should do. He did not answer and I was told I would get a call back in no more than 24 hours.
Three days later I Called the company and Jimmy answered. He told me the plumbers never submitted their report and he would call me back later that day. So, two days later I called back after not hearing anyting. Jimmy told me that they only sumbit their reports on a weekly basis so he'll have an answer that day.
I called back another 2 days later and left a message. I have now called Jimmy Gusky 3 more times to leave a message. two weeks later I have not heard back. I have moved onto another plumber.
Needless to say Jimmy Gusky WILL NEVER get a service call from me again!

They were sent to my home due to drain blockage by my home warranty. After putting a camera down the pipes I was informed I needed to replace the pipes, verbal quote of $15,000. I asked for contract so we could get things started and did not hear back from them. Called again did not hear back then my system backed up again. Would leave a message he would tell me they were going to email contract and never did. I ended up having to reach out to other plumbers to get the work done. Which ended up being a good thing because they just replaced the pipes in the yard and did not tear up my basement for half the cost. When I shared the pipe video with the other plumbers they said the language on that video was completely unprofessional.
Great job by Jimmy Gusky and team replacing an old, obsolete HVAC system! My condo's HVAC system was installed in the late 70s in a non-standard way (on its side) to maximize room for a wall of sliding doors. The end result is I had to find someone who could replace a unit in a 21 wide space! Jimmy and his team found and installed a replacement at a price, including rebuilding the HVAC closet, that was less than the price quoted by most of the other companies I contacted. And the installation teams cleaned up after themselves really well. Again, great job!!!!

Jimmy Gusky and company have always been my go to for my HVAC repairs since I moved to DC in 2016. Now they will also be my go to for gas leak and plumbing repairs. While getting various bids for many repairs over the years, his has alway affordable and accurate. While others try to overcharge and upsell on bids, often by thousands of dollars, Jimmy always gives me a fair price and honest bid. Recently I had a serious gas leak in my condo that was affecting mine and my pet's health. My condo (and condo building) smelled horrible like gas too. Jacob on Jimmy's team did an amazing job pinpointing multiple gas leaks in my condo and my building and found a pretty major one in my unit. An unused gas line that was leaking badly. I am forever grateful for Jimmy and Jacob for taking my repair quest seriously (when the gas company didn't) and not giving up when the gas leak was not easy to find. Overall the experience was very stressful and the gas company was pretty awful and dismissive of the gas leaks (!!!)--but through it all, Jimmy and Jacob were on my team and stayed on task to get it done. Most importantly, they believed me and treated me with respect. They were the silver lining in the whole experience. I will continue to always call Jimmy Gusky first and am so grateful for them that I can now move back into my condo. Thank you so much Jimmy and Jacob!

First Appointmwnt was a no show, but when I called, Jimmy Gusky himself came out to look at our HVAC. The appointment was part of a warranty plan and he had to submit his analysis. 10 days later and he never submitted his analysis. I called and left a message 5 days ago and never received a call back. Just called again and no answer. Terrible service. Jimmy seemed like he was knowledgeable so a one time appointment may be okay, but if you ever have to use them for an ongoing issue or as part of a warranty, STAY AWAY! And there are so many other HVAC services, why use one that ignores you?

Used them to install a new AC along with other residents in my building, didn’t handle any of the coordination for that so overall good experience and HVAC.
BUT 6 months later tried to schedule a HVAC and plumbing inspection for my building requirements, called and left voicemails 3 times and scheduled an appointment through their website for them to call and didn’t get a call back. Only got an answer by emailing Jimmy directly with the email I had from the HVAC installation, he said the front desk lady will call to schedule, she never did. 3 more calls later I finally get someone and get an appointment scheduled. Technician arrived 2 hours late with no clue what he was supposed to do even though I sent the requirements with clear instructions on what to inspect. Inspection itself was ok, technician seemed knowledgeable, but was obviously rushed and even said he had to hurry out because he had other important calls to get to. Never received an invoice for the inspection to provide to my building, have called twice since the inspection and left voicemails and still haven’t heard back again.
Tl;dr, they do fair work but good luck getting in contact with anyone, getting technicians to arrive on time, and getting everything covered that is needed. Will be going elsewhere for my next home needs.

Recently I needed the services of Jimmy Gusky Heating and Air Conditioning twice; once at a rental property and another at my home. I cannot say enough about how professional this company interacted with me. In both cases they quickly scheduled me in for service and provided me with high quality service, at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them for your HVAC needs. Unlike some other reviewers I did not experience any scheduling or communication issues, quite the opposite, everything was hassle free. Jimmy Gusky will be my go to HVAC company.

I had Jimmy Gusky, LLC as the company selected by my home warranty company to come to my home for a plumbing and sump pump problem. They called me the day they were supposed to arrive to reschedule my appointment time and then they never showed up for the time they rescheduled it to either!!!! I called them to see what happened and was told that the tech never communicated to others about the time for my appointment and that I would receive a call back after the situation was discussed with them...and they didn't call back either!!! I called my warranty company and notified them of what happened and had to get my service order filled by another company...which cost more of my time. I had already had to make myself available for 2 days with Jimmy Gusky, LLC and never received their service. Wasted time from work. Wasted phone time. Wasted everything. I'm annoyed and expected much more as a customer who actually didn't do anything wrong!! They're the ones that rescheduled me!!!

Great experience, great company, fair prices, solved a difficult problem with an older steam system.
Said there is missing part so warranty company denied the claim. Didn't attached the switch and wiring when the technician leaved. The technician seems spend a lot of times but he can't fix the problem. They make me so frustrated but other contactor said there was no missing part and fixed the problem.
Jimmy and team were fantastic. I got them through American home shield and was super impressed with their professionalism and solid quality of work. They did a thorough job and Jimmy will be my go to guy for the future.
Excellent reliable service. Got the job done on time and on budget.

This was a great experience, professional, returned calls quickly. Understood problem and fixed it promptly (after the part arrived ). An extra part was ordered but once the repairman knew he did not need it, it was returned with no charge to me. I highly recommend this company and would use their services again.

Jimmy Gusky Heating & Air LLC was available on short notice to snake the drains of a basement apartment when there was a huge amount of backed up sewage. Nick did a great job; I could tell it was a lot of work. Communication with the company and Mr. Gusky was timely, direct and effective. I hope I don't have to go through that again, but now I know a reliable and effective company to call. Thank you!
I can't say enough good things about this company. I had a kitchen leak a day before leaving for vacation....OMG. I received a reference for this company from HomeAdvisor. They called me within minutes. When I advised what my problem was, I was told a technician could be to my house by 4:00 pm. By 1:30 pm, I received a call saying they could be at my house within an hour, and they arrived in exactly an hour. The gentleman who they sent out and his apprentice, quickly located my issue, fixed it, and then cleaned up the leaking water (which he didn't have to do at all) - The price was super reasonable. I was ecstatic. I thought I would be eating Oodles of Noodles on my vacation since they gave me an emergency visit. But they didn't gouge me at all! Thank you so much for the great service. I will be contacting them for all of my plumbing needs!!

The service was terrible and extremely unprofessional. No one showed up for the appointed time that was provided by owner, weeks in advance. After several calls, someone showed up 3 hours later. Then the tech complained the whole time, especially to the owner, who did make sure he came by later to pick up the cash deposit of $800.00. Someone was suppose to come back to finish the job. No show, no calls, no texts, nothing. I just called another HVAC company, who were way better and professional, and they couldn't believe the terrible work by Jimmy Gusky, LLC (we have pictures and a video to confirm their work, or lack of). The owner then try to call 2 days later. How convenient for him. Please, as a customer, I had to let other potential customers know about this terrible service. Stay away from them.
Jimmy Gusky HVAC is truly as good as it gets. One of our AC units went down and through the warranty company found our way to Jimmy Gusky himself. Although out of their territory, Jimmy was willing to make the extra trip to diagnose the problem. He was very responsive to get our initial service call scheduled and determined the unit needed to be replaced, and we all know these units usually decide to break down only when pushed to the limit in the hottest summer months and we need AC the most. He did the legwork to get the warranty company to honor the recommendation and as you can see from the attached photo put in a much more substantial unit that is doing a fabulous job cooling the home. Add to that he actually had the unit and scheduled the install even before the warranty company approved the swap out. If that isn't one of the greatest examples of outstanding customer service and going above and beyond to exceed expectations, I don't know what is. Big thanks to Jimmy and team for their commitment to excellence!

We had a toilet issue and called Jimmy Gusky to come out and help us. They were prompt and fixed the issue in no time. We recommend them to all of our friends and neighbors.
Our HVAC system broke over the weekend. I called 10 or so companies and Jimmy was the only one who was able to send a team out same day.
In addition to the after-hours response, I found Jimmy and his team to be honest, professional, prompt, accessible and competent. I would highly recommend Jimmy Gusky for any HVAC issue, large or small.

Jimmy’s team was responsive and available quickly, which was great. However, they charged $1895 for a unit with a market price of $900 and 10 minute installation (they knew it would be that easy, because they had told us they’d only need 10 mins when they were on their way). This after they first wasted 4 hours of our time by showing up extremely late with the wrong unit the day before. After kindly asking about the price later, I got a very angry and unprofessional phone call claiming ‘this is the cost of doing business!’. Would not recommend this company.

I highly recommend Jimmy Gusky Heating&Air, they are prompt, professional and pleasant. When my home boiler went out they were able to replaced unit where others wanted me to wait for over a week for the same unit. My future projects and problems will go to Jimmy Gusky Heating & Air
