I wouldn't recommend Chapman period. How is a service hvac tech gonna miss this during an extended warranty service call!I called Stanley Steamer to see why my vents was blowing right put a camera in Vents and find laptop battery toys and trash causing blockage poor calculation.Chapman lady calls me Monday telling me that's not what tech was here to do I just bought this house don't play with me I'm retired hvac man.But she was quick to charge me $100 plus to have someone clean my vents...Lady PLEASE... I called the old house owners I told them they got screwed into buying a new furnace unit...when it was something simple as getting you vents inspected and cleaned.
Scheduling an appointment is quick and easy. We have always had a technician visit the day we call to set the appointment. The technicians are friendly, courteous and thorough in their work. They always make sure we are satisfied with what they have done.
(Installed a new water heater in the home). Gage and David were top-notch professionals in every sense: on-time, responsive and personable. We also appreciated the courtesy and helpfulness of Amy when we called to book the appointment and her rapid follow-up (she is VERY helpful!!) . The team at Chapman appears to enjoy their jobs! This is our family's third experience (HVAC and plumbing) and each time we have been completely satisfied with the outcomes, including the price!
Scott from Chapman was very professional and knowledgeable, and did a thorough diagnostic of our system. He explained the problem in detail and gave us several options for repair. I was very happy with the quality of the work. I would highly recommend Chapman to anyone who needs AC service.

Chad was very informative and helpful at my house to help fix my AC unit. He showed me everything he was doing and talked me through it all. Also both times I called the business number, both people were very respectful and helpful.
Came home from work several days before Christmas, 12/22/22, and realized my furnace was putting out cold air. I did the usual of checking my filter & and the fuse box which were good. I noticed my digital thermostat was blank. Someone did come out that night and delivered the bad news on my 20 yr old unit. Merry Christmas to me. That night I was using space heaters and an electric blanket to keep myself and cats warm. Thursday morning another person came out and discussed options. I received a call before lunch asking if I would be home that afternoon as they were going to install the new furnace. No problem as I was working at home that day. The first 2 guys showed up around 1 pm to start removing the old furnace, and then another 2 guys showed up with the new one. All 4 worked to get the new unit & thermostat in. They were done around 4pm, and maybe 2 hours later the temps began dropping. I was impressed with everyone’s professionalism, clean-up, and very thankful they could get it done prior to the bad weather moving in that evening.I had contacted 2 other companies prior to calling Chapman (which one was a company I used before), and the on-call employees who called me back were so rude. I get they had been having long days with others furnace issues, but being so rude was not called for. Chapman had put the original furnace in before I lived here, and decided to give them a call. I’m glad I did.I don’t know if they do this for all new customers, but thank you for the Christmas card I received, and today a gift basket showed up! I know who to call in the future.
My house's AC and heating system just sucked when I bought the house. 1/2 of the house was freezing cold when the other 1/2 was hot during the winter. AC didn't work properly so the house was always warm during the day/hot during the night in summer with expensive electric bill.Even though the cost was on the high side, we decided to hire Chapman to install AC/Heating system after several years of suffering. They were professional, friendly and not hesitate to go above and beyond. They make sure good air flow, all rooms temp, and tidy up everything.Now I am enjoying cool summer and warm winter.

Thursday, 4-27-23, Steve, Chapman Service man, came to perform cleaning on my air system. Chapman couldn't ask for a better representative for their company. Steve answered all my questions, gave me very good information on the operation of my system. Not only was Steve very knowledgable, but also was friendly and pleasant to deal with. Recently had a humidifier removed and they left a tube attached to the water heater they should’ve capped. Tyler from Chapman was able to identify the issue through 2 pictures and tried to help me get through the night so I wouldn’t have to pay emergency fee. Not sure many other people would do that. I ended up needing them to come out because I couldn’t get it to stop and didn’t want to be up all night and he obliged.

I had a flare fitting go bad on my gas fireplace and your so-called plumber refused to listen to me and insisted that the gas lines in my garage had to be replaced. They had absolutely nothing g to do with my fireplace. A simple $50 repair turned into a $2590 repair that was NOT needed.This tactic is very unprofessional. I am going to talk to my attorney about having your company completely shut down for unfair practices

Im writing on behalf of my 94 year old Mother. She has complete trust in Chapman and it gives me peace of mind knowing they aren't going to take advantage of her and try to sell her something she doesn't need. All the techs who come out are very kind and patient with her and always take the time to address all her cares and concerns.
It took two days to get a diagnosis for a mini-split system, by elimination. (“No burn marks on circuit boards, must be the fan.”) Has the audacity to ask $500+ for warranty repair, where parts are covered by manufacturer. Time and materials is fair…so basically the hourly rate.
4/15/23 David W. Followed all needed steps upon arrival. Meet/greet was genuine, listened to my past experience, talked price and cleared the main line quickly. Thanks, Greg.

* and this review is being posted late after speaking with some friends about a current issue with the company, and realizing that my older view is no longer listed.Roughly 4 years ago, I reached out to a company in my hometown of Beech Grove Indiana to have my entire HVAC system replaced. The job cannot be finished in one day, and they were supposed to come back in about a week when the temperatures were right to finish the job and to finish installing a couple of the air ducts. The company was sold by its owner to Chapman heating and cooling. When Chapman heating and cooling showed up to finish the job, they did not do all the work, and they did not supply me with the pair of $60 air filters that I had also paid for. IWas told that they could find no evidence of me, being owed the furnace filters, and that because they couldn’t find my paperwork there was no way of knowing whether or not they were actually supposed to finish installing the ductwork. As a result, I had to hire someone else to finish the job, and buy the two air filters a second time. The total cost was around $400. I tried on several occasions to reach out to the company and explain to them that it was an issue. It was explained to me by the company that if I couldn’t produce evidence that they owed me the filters, or that the company they bought, hadn’t already given them to me. (as they were being sold.) that there was nothing that they could do. They also did not send my paperwork to citizens that would’ve allowed me an upgrade credit costing me several hundred more dollars. I finally reached out to upper management, left a couple of voicemails, and several years later, still have not gotten a callback. if you actually want the job finished, to get what they promised you , or even to just not be treated like a scammer I would call someone else. Again, I am re-posting this review several years later, as a result of noticing that my previous review was removed, and having heard another negative story from a friend.

I had another service come in for a routine HVAC inspection, they said we needed more than $10,000 in a new furnace for a 1500 sq feet house which seemed high. I have used Chapman in the past so I called them for a free 2nd opinion. The Chapman tech came out and showed me the cracks in the heat exchanger were really scratches made from the snake camera and from the metal stamping during production. Larry Williams and Earl were both great to work with, will call them in a heartbeat if and when the furnace actually goes out!

The operations manager is very unprofessional inconsiderate inconsistent and unwilling to provide caring customer service. Called Mr Quick and their Customer Service was ver pleasant although the company is overwhelmed with calls she was very professional and willing to help. This encounter was not a good look on the business!
We had a clogged toilet for 3 days. We tried everything we could to get it to stay unclogged, but with no luck. I called another company, and they couldn't come for 5 days. I remembered hearing the adds on WFMS with Jim, Deb, and Kevin, and decided to give Chapman a try. I honestly wasn't sure if they would be as good as they always rave about. I called at 9:30, and they were able to get to our house that day between 2-6. I was thrilled, and cancelled the other appointment.I received a phone call at 1:30 to let us know that our service tech would be there at 2. Even better. He was polite, introduced himself, and went straight to work. He gave us an estimate within 10 minutes of the work he would perform. He went to work, took the entire toilet apart, did his thing, and got everything put back in less than an hour. He was very polite and made small talk to our 13 year old son, who had to check on everything that was being done.I was so impressed that they were able to come out within a few hours of making the call, and fixing it. I will definitely recommend them to others, and use them for any future needs.
The service people, Nathan Sutter, were friendly, knowledgeable and addressed a problem with the air filter compartment so the filter shouldn’t get torn up on removal as it has in the past.
Corey was professional, courteous, thorough and respectful of my property, and especially in tune with my concerns and our needs. These traits are consistent with all Chapman personnel we have dealt with over the years.
Prompt, professional and friendly service to effect a major emergency repair immediately. They went above and beyond to juggle schedules to make the repairs as soon as possible, which is greatly appreciated.

Randy was easy going and pleasant to deal with. Andrew did a fantastic job on the sheet metal work and Austin was eager to get the installation completed to high standards. I called on a Friday and a team arrived Saturday morning to install a new Bryant Preferred 96% AFUE gas furnace, AC, and line set. After one week I have already noticed a consistent and even heating of my home. More than satisfied with my experience so far.

I made an appointment online in the morning and called a short while after opening hours to confirm. A technician (David) had already been assigned, and arrived early in the afternoon. David asked me for the symptoms, which I was able to give details on. He then turned on the A/C and went directly outside to the Condenser unit. Within a few minutes he had identified the problem. David was both friendly and professional. He gave me additional tips on keeping my A/C running better, and was even able to look up the age of the system for me (28 years, a little less than I had thought). Chapman's service and price were outstanding and I highly recommend them. I was up-and-running quickly, and feel like I dodged a bullet in both price and repair time. I intend to get a quote from Chapman soon, for the replacement of the system.

When my wife and I bought new air conditioners last year, we got estimates from four firms of various quality. Some wants us to spend far more than needed; some sent salespeople with shaky technical knowledge. The person we dealt with at Chapman was a true professional. The same can be said for Earl, who has been to our house twice to inspect and repair our boiler. He is clearly highly knowledgable and conscientious.
I was alerted to the arrival time of the technician and he arrived on time. He was neat in his appearance and in his work. He communicated with me on the procedures necessary to complete my job. Due to the re-do of my kitchen/laundry room, the water and gas had to be disconnected. Tony Chafin Jr will return soon to re-connect all of that and I feel comfortable that the job will be done right the first time. Thanks to Tony!

Today my garage was drowning in water. I was fortunate to catch it when I did. An elbow fitting had failed and was shooting pressurized water everywhere.I called Chapman, who sent out their Saturday on-call tech. Not only did Chuck fix the immediate problem, but went on to re-plumb a whole network of old copper with Pex.Chuck did a great job, had a good attitude, and didn’t send me to the poorhouse.I’m more than happy with both the service and the price. Highly recommended.

I had several gas leaks and the gas company shut me down until repairs were satisfactorily made. I called Chapman and Tony came out the next day. He and an associate completed the repairs the same day. They were both very good to work with and very thorough. When the gas company came back to inspect the work and turn my service back on, he asked me who did the work. When I told him, he said it was a very good job. I am now relieved that both my home and I are safe for many more years. Thanks for a great job!

Replaced the water heater and softener. They were knowledgeable and explained everything. Cleaned up afterwards and made sure I was happy. Very friendly and nice to my cat which is a must. Good guys and I will definitely use them again.
Not only did Chapman get to our house quickly, they called once there and provided advice and options about the needed repair. Chuck, the service tech went to an Ace Hardware nearby to pick up a couple of bolts needed to secure a unique toilet, but he also checked one caulk and sanded grout options to better secure the base. The communication was great and the job got done in time for us to close the sale of the house. They worked us into their schedule and helped us get an important sale closed. Terrific service!

Gunner, the tech that serviced our furnace was great! He was polite, thorough, and helpful answering all of our questions. He took time to solve our humidifier issues which we really appreciate! Chapman has been our HVAC service provider for many years and we've always been happy with their service, cost and competency. They were able to diagnose and fix an issue with our AC when others had tired and failed. Three years now since that repair and it works well. Chapman also does our regular maintenance and is easy to schedule, always on time, courteous and fast.
Earl came out and fixed my heat! He was great, courteous and professional. He also gave me some tips going forward, and all of this took place within a day. Very thankful he came out and got me sorted out. Chapman is professional and great, highly recommend.

Technicians advice concerning efficiency and care he took to check and clean the unit outside. Earl is the first I have ever seen use my hose to clean the air conditioning unit out side. Great job and professional, friendly and curious.
Thomas resolved questions we had regarding AC system with quick diagnosis and complete explanation. He did not push any unnecessary work on us but assured us that the system was working correctly. Will continue to use and trust Chapman.

Extreme cold circumstances caused my furnace, not to be able to keep up. They came out and made some adjustments and recommendations to help me get through a very cold time.

I used to have competent service from Chapman for many years, but have experienced a decline in service, competency and professionalism with their service staff over the last few years. This week I found myself in an emergency situation due to a fouled secondary heat exchanger that had not been inspected or cleaned in a very long time, despite it being included in their maintenance agreement for which I had been paying for many years. I give them 2 stars instead of 1 since Jerry the GM called me to review and apologize for the situation. You can't win 'em all, but thanks for being courteous and professional Jerry.
Corey responded to an after-hours service call and did an amazing job of keeping me informed with every step he took to check my furnace, the lines between the thermostat and the furnace, and finally the thermostat itself. He proved the problem was the thermostat and presented the two options he had for replacement. Corey is a good PR representative. He did not rush through any step and stayed long enough to answer all questions and make sure my furnace was giving me hear. A job well done.
Nathan was great. Chapman as a whole was very accommodating. Nathan was very knowledgeable and professional, he worked efficiently, he left the space clean afterward, and he was happy to answer all my questions and explain what was going on so I can be a more informed homeowner. It was also more affordable than I was expecting. I highly recommend Chapman, and Nathan deserves major kudos. Thank you!

We woke up Tuesday to a 58 degree house. Within 2 hours a service rep was here. We knew our system was at the end of it's time. The next day at 9 am someone else was here measuring, explaining and giving us prices. Today we had our unit installed. This company is awesome. I highly recommend. The service techs, salesman and installation professionals were awesone.?
I called and someone was at my house within an hour. The tech Tony was very polite and courteous very efficient had the job done and about 30 minutes. Before anything was done he gave me the estimate He explained everything he was going to do and told me why I had the problem. The second time I've used Chapman they are wonderful I would highly recommend.
Clayton did an amazing job! Our heat went out and we were stressing because of our daughters 16th birthday party. He came in and was fast and extremely thorough and made sure I understood the system. He explained why we had our issue, what he did to fix it, and when we should expect to be comfortable. He was incredibly friendly which goes a long way these days

There was a leak behind the wall in an upstairs bathroom. A few tiles were removed and the leak was found very quickly and repaired. This included replacing the toilet. Tony did a good job. The only surprise was that I was not aware that the wall tile replacement was not something that Chapman does. Otherwise I was very satisfied by their service.
We have used Chapman for our H/AC Needs for a long time. Steve is wonderful. Recently we needed plumbing work and Steve recommend Charles. We could not be happier. Charles was very respectful. Professional and clean and efficient. He answered all of our questions and took care in his assessment and repair of our issue.

Perry was absolutely professional and kind as can be. It was a genuinely good time having a conversation with him while he worked on our heating unit and repaired it in no time at all. Great company to work with. I live in an older home and am always a little worried when having work done. Couldn’t be happier. From great sales interaction to install team it was a painless process. I had a tankless water heater installed so there was a bit of work to do and the installers answered all my questions and did a great job. Fernando and the rest of the folks at Chapman were extremely professional and efficient. My house is a 150 year old Italianate with more than 3000 sq. ft. They installed a new furnace and AC in one day and it took all day because the job was so big. The end result looks a lot better than what was in the house before. We used Chapman for the first time about 10 years ago. Our furnace went out in the middle of a freezing cold wonder and Chapman came out immediately and totally hooked us up with a great deal on a new furnace in no time. Since then, they have replaced our water heater and air conditioner. Let me tell you that Chapman has totally taken care of us. Always. They are kind, competent, and customer focused. Everyone from their staff is professional, helpful, and respectful of the homeowner's property. Nathan from Chapman quickly diagnosed the issue with our outdoor hose bib and replaced it improving upon the original work performed 25 years ago when our home was originally built. Nathan is well-skilled and knowledgeable. He explained everything to my level of understanding and was very pleasant to interact with. Would definitively call upon him with any future plumbing issues.
Evan (service technician) was early and very professional. His work was done on a service agreement. He asked about any issues before starting. Explained and made sure I understood all findings he had afterward. I highly recommend Chapman and the services they provide.

Evan was professional and knowledgeable, he did our routine HVAC maintenance this winter and replaced a part in our system that was about to break down. I have an HVAC maintenance agreement with Chapman where I get 2 maintenance visits per year and after hours emergency charges discounted if something breaks. For me its great value and reassuring to know I'll be able to get assistance without a huge hassle and expense if there's a problem.

Chapman, Heating and Air Conditioning is a very reputable company to use for your heating and cooling systems. We have never had any trouble with them. They have good employees. Nathan was here to fix a hot water leak in the wall. He worked really hard. It may have taken him almost 7 hours to fix the water leak, but the hot water is not leaking anymore and we have hot and cold water. I would definitely recommend Chapman, Heating, Air Conditioning to my family and friends.

It’s only day one of our heat pump install but within a few hours we are already so much more comfortable than before. Finally able to turn off our space heaters and enjoy the heat provided by a much more efficient system! When calling to schedule a repair on my furnace the staff was professional and was able to get me scheduled that day. When the technicians came to my house to repair the furnace they went through the problem, explaining the issue and fixing the problem promptly. This is my second time using Chapman (once for the AC) and both times I have had positive experiences.
So far good. We will see when it comes time to keeps the new furnace maintained in the next few years
Chris and Jake were awesome. They explained everything in detail and in a way someone without knowledge on AC would understand. Chris explained the pricing in detail and what needed to be done to fix the AC. I have a 2007 unit and they fixed wo trying to oversell a new unit, which made me trust the service they provided. I appreciated getting in quickly and the the staff that called back to schedule the appointment. I will be using them for any maintenance or repairs in the future! I highly recommend.

We had a air purifier installed Fernando did a great job he also fixed a small plumbing leak on our hot water heater that he found while working on our furnace. After the install of the air purifier the furnace was not running correctly the burners on the furnace where going on and off and the furnace had a code 33. I called our salesman Larry and in hour Rodney was out and went over the furnace and found the problem. He had to go back to the shop it make a part it was late in the day he got the furnace running temporarily for the night. He was back first thing in the morning and fixed the issue with the new part and the furnace is and has been running great. I was so satisfied with the service I set up a service contract. Thanks for everyone that worked on our furnace you all did a great job.

My furnace quit working this evening. I called Mr. Quick and their technician (salesman) was here almost 3 hours.He wanted to sell me a new furnace and AC for $15,000.I’m so glad I called Chapman. Earl was my technician and was awesome! He called me when he was finished with his last job. And said he would be here in 25 min. Earl was super nice and informative. He jumped right in and got to work. Before you know it, he had it diagnosed as a bad circuit board $600. I’ll definitely take that compared to 15k. After I agreed to the repair he had it running in no time and showed me everything he did. My kids were grateful as well, no more shivering. Thank you so much Earl for your service! I’ll definitely be using Chapman heating again in the future!!!

Called Chapman last Friday after I suspected our AC had a problem. They were able to get someone out there next day. Doug showed up on time, super friendly, explained everything and although they weren’t able to fix the problem the same day due to a part that had to be ordered, he was professional and empathized about the delay which wasn’t his fault. Chapman got the part earlier than expected and send him back out the next Tuesday with a helper and got everything fixed up. Once again, professional, friendly, thorough, courteous, and I honestly only want Doug to be the one to come out because of how awesome he is as a person. Highly recommend.

I hired a well rated plumber to look at my repair needs. After toying with it for a few minutes the plumber told me he couldn’t be sure where the leak is coming from without the wall being cut open. He suggested that I cut open the wall myself so he could come back and do the work for $200+. He said if he had to cut the wall open for me it would be a $500 job, and I’d have to repair the wall and reinstall the sink myself. After considering cutting the wall open, I decided to contact someone for a second opinion. It took three companies before I could get a commitment that didn’t require me to stay home all day on an 8-4 window for a plumber to arrive. When I contacted Chapman, not only did they not want to schedule me three days down the road, but their plumber showed up in a couple of hours on the same day! He was very courteous and professional. It only took him a couple of minutes to identify the problem, and it turned out to be a simple one. He said he could do the cutting if needed, and he was talking about a much smaller cut than was laid out by the first guy. In the end he managed to repair the leaking drain pipe going into the wall without ever cutting the wall at all. He reattached the sink, and verified that the repair was done correctly. Couldn’t have been more than 90 minutes. My sink is fixed and I didn’t have to touch a thing! Chapman also agreed to waive their consultation fee, and I only paid $200 for the repair. I was very impressed and pleased with their service and professionalism.

Cleaned up and checked everything before leaving. Would use Chapman for any heating, air or plumbing work in the future. Prices do lean to the high side, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for !! Would highly recommend the company !!

Our furnace went out on Christmas Eve. Chapman had a tech at our house within 1 hour and the sales rep within an hour of finding out we needed a new furnace. The installation crew were very professional, knowledgeable, clean and answered every question we had. They took every precautionary measure to keep us safe. We were impressed from phone call to the office to installation.

Chapman did an amazing job for me today. I ordered and paid for a new range to be installed by Home Depot. When they delivered the range, they said they couldn’t install it because the gas line was corroded. I called Chapman just to have them disconnect the gas line from the old stove, instead they went above and beyond and installed the new stove too! First time I’ve used them, but they will be my go to company from now on!!!

We purchased the service agreement in February of 2021. We were very impressed that they contacted us to set up routine maintenance appointment at the 6 month mark. Service tech was on time, courteous, knowledgeable and thorough. Very pleased.
I have worked with three different larger reputable HVAC companies in the Indianapolis area over the past 10 years and Chapman has exceeded any service I have received. I have found Chapman has always sent out staff who were competent and courteous. I have used Chapman for the install of a heating and AC unit at our condo, hired them to do regular maintenance visits at our home and rental properties, and have even hired them to fix a complicated plumbing repair. Work has always been done well. After each visit I receive detailed and helpful notes from their technicians. Having good notes of each visit has been essential with the rental properties I oversee. I will add more more observation - Chapman's technicians have been patient. For example, we had trouble logging onto our wireless thermostat. Our technician was patient and spent an extra half hour waiting on hold until the IT support people at the thermostat company could walk him through getting the app on the phone to connect. All is working well.
Aaron came to check my downstairs AC. He was very thorough & explained everything very well. I now know, thanks to Aaron how old my AC unit is …19! He is very knowledgeable & personable. I have met most of the Chapman staff & now wouldn’t use any other company. Kudos to Chapman for hiring such experienced people.

A tenants furnace was not working Saturday morning. I told her to call Chapman for a service call. She called me back and said that I had to call and order the call. We have 14 rentals for over thirty years. We have always used Chapman. This is not how service calls have been made in the past. In the past tenant called, made the appointment when they would be home and service person called me when they were on the job and we would talk about the work and cost that needed to be done. A new furnace was recommended for this house. I expected a call from Chapman on Monday morning with cost and plan for installing the new furnace. That did not happen. At 3:00 on Monday I called them and no one knew anything about the Saturday service call or was working on a estiment for the new furnace. Jake from Chapman plumbing came out and help explain what was going on with our water softener as well as installed a new gas water heater. We were so impressed that we knew we had issue and we are going to use him to install new water softener. I would greatly recommend them.
Good service. Fast service. Pricey on the repair. Capacitor failed. $98 service call and diagnosis. 1 part replaced. $335 total.
Corey was a great tech and very knowledgeable. Although the service was very good I will shop around for a better value if needed in the future.

There were 3 repairs/parts that our furnace needed when they tested it. The main part, they wanted to charge $346 for it. I went to ace hardware and bought it for $49. There was hardly any labor to install it, 2 screws. Besides the huge upcharges in parts, they would not stop trying to get us to buy a brand new furnace. Do your research everyone.
I have used Chapman for all of our heating and cooling service and needs, and I am now making use of their plumbing service also. I had a new sump pump put in since I put the last one in 8 years ago. They did a great job. I have my summer A/C checkup and as usual they were very personable and professional. Gunner was the service tech this time and both my wife and I were pleased with how professional he was checking out the heat pump and air. I will always recommend Chapman Heating, Cooling and Plumbing service. I have never been disappointed.

It's 14 degrees outside .....and my heat went out , if youve ever been there then you know its not a fun situation!! I called Chapman because my go to hvac guy was sick. Schedueled an appointment for 4 o'clock ..and.....they didn't show up til 6 (ok no biggie, it happens) the tech gets here who is very proffesional . he does the diagnostic wich they told me would be 98$ . The technician informs me that there's some problems and the pressure switch isn't working, and before he can figure out whats wrong with my furnace he would need to replace the pressure switch .... So I ask how much to fix the pressure switch ?? He said usually 200 but he doesn't have one in the truck so he would have to go get one.... And since its after 530 its emergency hours and it would be about 600$ ....so now showing up 2 hours late becomes a bigger deal !! (Also for your information a pressure switch is about 15-20$ cost for part) so I proceeded to ask the technician will putting a new pressure switch on fix my furnace ?? no it won't but it will tell is whats wrong SO...... you want me to spend $700 and not even fix my furnace ?? So obviously I refuse the service and refuse to pay the diagnostic fee because he still never could tell me what needed to be fixed for my furnace to work (btw you can bypass the pressure switch to see what else is wrong for testing ..so the tech had no clue how to perform a diagnostic) the tech was really nice btw.I received a $98 bill a month later called them calmly to explain what happend and was expecting them to be proffesional and accept the fact that they were in the wrong and waive the diagnostic fee ......Well thats not what happend the gentleman that I talked to basically told me to pay it or f*** off and he would send me to collectionsI would highly suggest to not do bussiness with this company !!

Our Tech Tom has serviced our HVAC systems for the last 3-4 year and last year started also servicing our tankless water heater. He always does a very thorough job and explains everything completely after he completes the services. He is very knowledgeable and very competent. He is incredibly personable and I would recommend him to anyone I know and Chapman the HVAC company he represents.
We contacted Chapman due to an issue with our heating system on August 19th. A technician came out assessed our unit and advised of a part that needed to be replaced and recommended a tune-up of the system. I paid $459 for the part, installation and the recommended service. A month a two phone calls went by before the part was replaced. The technician finally made it back and forgot which part needed to be replaced. We waited another week. The technician came out to install the part, but couldn't figure out why it didn't fix the problem. After another attempt, the issue was resolved, but the recommended tune-up was not completed. I also requested a receipt for my payment and was sent a receipt via email that was blank. My recommendation is to find another company as I will be.

In a time where good service is hard to find Bailey was a pleasant surprise. He showed perseverance to stay committed to fix a challenging sump pump issue. He made sure it was fixed correctly even though he had to work late to make that happen. He did a quality job and cleaned up when he was done. 5 stars.

(This spring he cleaned out my A/C units and nobody had ever actually removed all the leaves and debris in bottom of our outdoor units then hosed everything down.)

My outdoor hose faucet was leaking. I have experienced troubles in the past but this leaking was excessive and beyond my skill level. I called Chapman and they were at my home within 3 hours to repair the problem and replace my valve. This was in line with my previous good experiences with them and I have a high degree of satisfaction with this and previous service.
I'm an employee at Chapman's (so I have a bias) but in my 14 years of service work in the industry, I've worked for many different outfits- from the mom n pop shop to the large corporation company's. And ill say this- Chapman's is hands down the best place I've ever worked at. It truly does feel like a large family. Management is usually on their A game (usually), the techs are experienced and knowledgeable, the office staff is efficient and reliable. I can tell the company and everyone in it has a love for the trade.

Chapman has the best customer service of any business that I have encountered in any field, not just the heating and cooling industry. Every person from the one answering the phone to the service technicians and customer service manager have been extremely professional and courteous each and every time I have worked with them. I have never encountered a business that works harder to ensure their customers are well taken care of and completely satisfied.
We had some water leakage from our air conditioner system and called Chapman Heating. My husband said the receptionist was very exceptional and friendly (didn't get her name). We were in a bind due to an electrical surge issue that fried the power transformer in our HVAC unit. Chapman heard our call and sent Desmond right over. Heat back on within 90 minutes of our call. Chapman has been servicing my units for almost 2 years. My units were 24 year old. Chapman came out to give me a quote on replacing my air conditioner, water heater, and furnace. They quoted me on a Thursday and had everything completely done the following Monday. The service was great and the salesman didn't beat around the bush. I knew it would be an expense, but what isn't these days. What matters is you get what you paid for. Which i did and was happy with my service all around.

I definitely recommend Chapman. I appreciate this company's integrity. No upcharges are recommended unless they are needed for maintenance. Rarely is anything extra needed.

Wanted to take a minute and provide some feedback on our most recent experience with Chapman for all of you looking for a quality HVAC repair company.We started to have some issues with our aged furnace about 3 days before one of the coldest Christmases in 15 years. Fitting end to 2020. We called Chapman on the 23rd, as we have since moving here about 4 years ago. Chapman came out and checked the furnace within hours of calling them. We found the heat exchanger was bad and needed replaced. Chapman recommend I get a quote and Larry was out that same evening to explain everything to me. With the options written out in a good/better/best scenario, they made it very easy and affordable to purchase the new unit. Larry was back out the very next morning and had paperwork done in quick fashion. My wife and I decided it was best to purchase a new Bryant Evolution furnace since ours was about 12 years old and made more sense than fixing expensive parts for the next year. Larry was great to work with!!Chapman then had a crew out on Christmas eve to tear out my old and install the new unit. Took a few hours but very professional while here. New pipes, new humidifier, the whole thing. They had us back up with heat right before a small family gathering the next day for Christmas. Couldn't have been better based on the unfortunate circumstances and timing of the unit failure. Thank you so much to all of you over there for your efforts to get us warm again! And on Christmas eve no less!

Ron came out today and did a fantastic job getting everything set up and working. He walked us through each step and made sure we were happy with everything before leaving. I called Chapman for a second opinion after having another company come out to diagnose my furnace issue. Chris did a great job diagnosing and explaining the issues. He reached the same conclusion as the other company on the cause of the problem, but Chapman came in nearly half the estimate if the other place to replace the furnace control board even though they dont carry my brand of furnace (Lennox). They quickly ordered the part and got me back up and running. I will call them again for any future issues.

Service technicians were pleasant and courteous. I was extremely disappointed in the scheduling department. I was told someone would show up/call between 9-12, I had to call at 12 to find out they were late and I was next on the list. Another 90 minutes later, I receive a phone call and the service technicians arrived by 2 pm. I am a registered nurse who works nightshift, I was unable to get any rest due to the carelessness of the schedulers. It really did not matter what time they arrived but if I could get a couple hours sleep, it would have helped. Of course, the sooner the better to get this service completed, but to be so inaccurate is just not appreciated. Ron and Kameron were fantastic! They installed my new furnace in less than 4 hours. They were kind, respectful and knowledgeable. They left my utility room neater than they found it. I can always count on Chapman!
They were very professional from start to finish on installing a new havc and furnace including all new duct work, made it look real nice, and keeping up on all return visits to check on the systems to make sure it is performing properly!
Evan did a very professional job. I am still waiting to hear when my filter will be installed. Please contact me with a time when you can install my filter. Evan returned to my home to install my filter at the end of his day. I greatly appreciate his returning today to replace my filter.
I called Chapman because I have known Perry for a number of years and is quite dependable and trustworthy. Even during a hot spell they were able to look at and repair my air conditioner within a couple of days including parts that had to be ordered. They were flexible and worked with my schedule to make the return visit to finish the job. I would highly recommend them and when it comes time to replace my ac unit I will be calling them
While our initial experience was good, Nathan was solid, we are now out several hundreds of dollars for a capacitor the rep claimed we needed to fix our A/C; it did not solve our issue, and we are looking at hundreds more to get another potential fix. The current ‘potential fix’ is one the initial rep claimed was definitely *not* the source of the issue- time to find an A/C company that respects our dollar.
Chapman did an excellent job installing my new hot water heater. The technician was friendly and professional and cleaned everything up afterwards. Would highly recommend them to others and will be using them again for any plumbing issues in my home.
Easy to call and talk to someone. Technicians are knowledgeable and friendly. They can also explain things in layman's terms, which I appreciate. Don't seem to suggest incurring cost for the sale, but only if you truly need it or would benefit from it.
Great experience recently with Chapman installing our whole house humidifier. The install team, Robby K & Greg B, were professional, timely, clean, and thorough. Having had three separate companies quote the work - Chapman stood out on every account. Friendly service, prompt quote/install timeline, took time to answer all of my questions - and even share some tip/tricks with me to improve my other heating needs. I was surprised to see a Chapman truck pull in the driveway. I called Ridgeway Heating & Cooling in Lebanon. I wasn't expecting a tech to be available same day. We have been customer of Chapman Plumbing for years. We had a water leak in our kitchen and water standing on our hardwood floors. I called Chapman and spoke to Kerri. She asked several questions and determined we needed same day service. As it was already 3:00 in the afternoon she somehow got a plumber out in an hour. Kerri was professional, courteous and extremely helpful to us.The plumber on our work was Chuck. When he arrived at our door I was so happy because he had diagnosed and fixed a challenging repair for us earlier in the year. Chuck identified the source of the water leak and completed this work. He also spotted a pin hole leak in the water line to the ice maker and fixed this as well. His work not only fixed the issue with the water shut off valve to the refrigerator but saved us a service call we had scheduled for appliance repair later in the week. Chuck is an amazing tradesman and professional.Thank you to Chapman. The only plumbing company to call in Indy!
Aaron was a breath of fresh air as a HVAC service technician. He found important problems missed by previous technicians and devoted a lot of time to make sure everything was right, including upgrading my air cleaning systems and finding and repairing a leak in my humidifier.He has set a standard for all the HVAC technicians I have previously used and modeled the high standards that Chapman Heating has long strived to maintain.

Utility determined there were gas leaks at two different appliances due to poor installation by contractors. Andrew diagnosed and repaired the leaks and put the appliances back in service. The utility inspected and found the problems that led to the red tags were fixed. Thanks to Andrew for his quick and accurate repairs!
We had our Spring service today by Aaron. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain what he was doing. He found a couple of needs for our A.C. unit and showed us what needed to be done. Well they charged me $90 to come out on a Saturday, which I was fine with until he told me it would be $189 to wait until Monday for the fix or $560 to fix it that day. We called a different company and that company talked us through getting the heat going again without even coming out. We had this other company come back on Tuesday to make sure nothing was wrong and he showed us exactly what was wrong and that the Chapman guy left our heat limiter out of our unit leaving us with a major safety hazzard.

Following the site visit, I gave Chapman the go ahead for the project. That was approx. 1 year ago.Recently, I opted for an maintenance contract renewal and Perry was dispatched to conduct the work required for the first of two site visits which are included in the annual contract..Perry arrived and set expectations for the review project start to finish. We have used Chapman for years for our HVAC needs. Called for emergency sump pump replacement. Replaced with inadequate pump and also removed our battery back up from the system. Cannot be incorporated back into our new system. So, we are working with another company to get a pump adequate for the job and a battery back up system. Chapman has not offered any assistance with the inadequate job they did - despite our feedback to Tom. Very disappointing. I would not recommend this company.

Chapman installed in our home an entire new AC system including ducts and reworked the plumbing of our hydronic heating system to include zones. The work was completed more than a month ago, but we waited to post a review until we had a chance to use both systems and experience the results. Both the AC and boiler system have performed very well, keeping the temperature and humidity in our house at a comfortable level. Chapman staff were very easy to work with and did a great job of designing and installing everything. We appreciated suggestions from Chris and Andy, and that they were always communicating and keeping us informed about how things were going to be installed and why, and making sure it met our expectations. Rodney, Brian and others working on the install were great about completing the work in a timely fashion and always courteous and respectful of our home. They went the extra mile to do a quality install and were extra patient while adding the zones and addressing all existing problems with our hydronic heating system. Now it runs flawlessly with three zones. We're very pleased with how it heats evenly and consistently in all living areas, while allowing us to maintain lower temps, using less energy in areas where we spend little time.Overall, our experience with Chapman was great and we look forward to working with them on future projects. We highly recommended them to others.

Have used Chapman for a number of years for routine maintenance on heating and air conditioning system as well as replacement of both systems. They have kept both systems operating efficiently. I highly recommend them.
After this little heatwave in May, I can’t tell you how grateful we are that Chapman took care of us! Our air conditioning unit went out a little sooner than we expected and Chapman was able to install a new system within a week! We were having issues with our osmosis system and kitchen sink. Mike came out, was on time, and used precautions in our home. He explained every part of the process to me and was very thorough. He completely fixed the problem and was very helpful. The whole process was fast and easy. We will not use anyone else except Chapman moving forward. Highly recommend.
Had posted an earlier review regarding the replacement of a part that was under warranty. Was very upset with the fee charged for labor. Chapman read my review and I received a call from Chris . Super nice guy. We discussed the situation, he explained quite a bit, listened to my frustration and long story short, refunded part of the fee. Renewed my faith in Chapman. We had a great experience with Randy from Chapman. Our AC was broken so we were a bit desperate. After getting several crazy quotes, we called Chapman. Randy came quickly and was honest about what we actually needed and what would make the biggest impact in terms of energy savings. Then, the installers came on time, called on their way, and now I'm sitting in the comfort of air conditioning while I write this review.
Tyler was on time, professional, and thorough. In addition to routine maintenance, he found a potential problem in our system and addressed it. We would not hesitate to have him do maintenance and repair work on our HVAC system in the future.

Phenomenal on all fronts. Dispatch responded to my online inquiry (through Bryant's website) right away. The technician was friendly, fast, and knowledgeable. The best part: despite my heat exchanger failing, Chapman were able to get me a new one with a rebate from Bryant and save me a ton of money compared to a new furnace. A previous service provider had previously quoted me thousands in labor and replacement parts that Chapman proved wasn't remotely necessary. 5/5 will use for all future HVAC service needs!
We had a really good experience with Chapman. We returned from a Memorial Day weekend trip to hot weather and no AC. Even though it was a busy day following a holiday weekend, Chapman sent David out that same day. He had it working again by afternoon!
A/C unit was making banging noise. Called the emergency number at 7:30 pm on a Sunday night and the on-call technician immediately responded. Contacted again first thing Monday morning and the repair technicians were there by 10:00 am. The furnace blower motor and fan needed replaced. Parts were ordered and A/C working by 5pm. David and Robert were very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. A pleasure working with them.

Rodney and Victor were our technicians. We had a new A/C and furnace unit installed. My husband Allen and I cannot rave enough about the quality and thoroughness of their work. They were both knowledgeable, patient, thorough and professional. Rodney and Victor deserve an A+. We had Chapman replace our water heater in 2014, with an equally professional job, so it was a no-brainer to call Chapman when we needed the new AC/furnace. We'd recommend them to anyone.

When people talk of great service then Chapman Heating AC & Plumbing is up there with the best of them.Our timeline for having our ageing AC unit replaced -Monday: Furnace is serviced by Chapman and I mention the AC unit needs looking at. That evening I am contacted by Jeff.Tuesday: Jeff arrives to inspect the unit, and being 19 years old, needs replacing. Had an issue with a struggling AC unit. Perry came out, had a look around, and knew immediately from seeing condensation on the lines that the coils needed cleaned.Perry diagnosed the issue, disassembled the unit, cleaned the coils, and was gone within an hour. Cost was $265. I scheduled the call around 7 p.m. the night before and they happened to have an opening available for the next day. The service window was from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., and he made it by around 4:30 p.m.It's more than I would like to pay, but HVAC always is. I usually try to get maintenance when I can pick up a coupon to waive the service fee, but I think it was worth it to improve performance. Especially on an older AC unit.
Made convenient, prompt appointment. Aaron arrived on time and put on mask, gloves, and foot protection. He was pleasant, thorough, and informative. After explaining the advantage of adding a part that would prolong the life of the ac unit, I asked him to install it. He was quick and clean. Very pleased with his professional service.

Chapman is excellent in service and installation work. We love our clean air system and the entire house is fresher. It has been several years since the installation and the Chapman team continues to impress my family with their service. The clean air system has eliminated allergies in our household.
Tyler was patient professional & friendly.He was diligent & good to explain what needed to be done. & then get it done..We have 2 units, only one was on the blink. You need to leave a paper receipt with individuals and make it clear, if you do not have the part in stock and it is being ordered the service was not declined. Receiving an email stating the service was declined on a receipt is extremely confusing.I was given a quote for my renewal of my service contract which had increased slightly one week and then we your people came out the next week it was increased again. When you live on a very fixed income that is unsettling.While I understand the merger happened between the time my Heat & Cool Service Technician was out one week and when I called to have them come back as instructed no warning was disconcerting and uncomfortable.While the new technicians are efficient and know their jobs being advised it is unknown whether my previous technicians will available to return because no one knows if they will be coming over or not was an uncomfortable situation.The service technicians who had been to home were familiar with my young dog and we had no problems---the service technicians sent out were not familiar and immediately showing fear is never wise. When given instruction as to how to deal with the dog and being totally ignored and their unwillingness to comply with the request is not good either. We know the animal and how to familiarize them with strangers. Once the fear is shown and the fear behavior is continued it causes stress for the owner, the animal, and the technicians. Allowing the animal to obtain someone's scent and once the animal is shown the owner is offering access the animal will accept the owners decision. In our case had my grandson not been home it would have been impossible for me to stop the dog from doing what he is here to do. It took him several hours to calm after they left as he was contained and unable to familiarize himself with the technicians and monitor what was happening in our home. I will be sure to have his work collar on when the technicians return. I have scheduled them at a time when my grandson will be at home to contain him easily and effectively and I will be able to stay where he can see me at all times to be sure I am safe.
Tony converted our outdated gas fitting to a modern day fitting for our new dryer. He also gave me a quote on 3 other projects that we have for him. He was on time, friendly and knowledgeable. We hope he comes back for our other projects.
Timely same day service but seemed pricey over 250$ for a drain cleaning i could be wrong. I gave instructions to report any issue to me as this was a rental property. They gave no information to me but did make some suggestions to my tenants about an air filter . Overall they seem to get the job done!

I am very impressed with the service I received,I had a furnace repair. I received a phone call that the technician was on his was 40 minutes prior to the four hour window I was given for him to arrive; he arrive 10 minutes after that. He was polite and professional, and was able to quickly diagnose and repair my furnace. He thoroughly explained and showed me what the issue was and what he did to fix it. What I am most impress with is not being uncomfortable while he was here! I am a female who lives alone so this is something I greatly appreciate, and would recommend them to others in the same situation.

Keith came promptly, identified the issue promptly, arranged for an appropriate repair, then performed system maintenance. He clearly told us what was going on. He identified a potential issue and proposed an acceptable solution. He worked efficiently and tidied up everything afterwards. And, of course, he wore his COVID mask throughout. And that is important to us.
I’ve never had a company do everything they can to save me money. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone Sunday helped me get my emergency heat going, over the phone, to save me an emergency visit fee. Earl, who came out the next day had me up and running in 20 mins. They only charged me a visit fee. Their professionalism, promptness, and willingness to help was above and beyond. I will use them again.

Chapman came out on May 31st to evaluate adding a return in the basement (were my furnace is) and running a feed to my insulated garage. The initial start of the onsite went well. They looked at where I wanted the feed and return at, made some measurements, and looked at my system.Having noticed that my system was new and installed by a competitor, he went on to tell me how Chapman was recently praised as the number one Bryant authorized dealer in the state and nation. From there he went on about how they would be the better company to provide service for me going forward and told me about their service contracts. I told him that I was good there for now, that I just wanted the work I was asking about quoted. He then asked me why I did not call the installer for a price on this work. I told him that I did, but the original installer had some staff changes recently and did not want to come out for just running ducts (whole separate issue). I expressed that Chapman had been a subcontractor for an add on I had done two years prior, and the duct work had been installed very well and that I wanted that same level of work again for these ducts.He said that he would get a quote out to me by the end of the day or first thing the next morning. Though right as he was leaving, he did say he would have to ask his manager about running a duct to the garage. (He did not say why he had to ask about running a feed to the garage) As of June 13th, I have not received a quote from Chapman about this work, nor have a received a call back about it.The whole experience made me feel that they do not care for the small install jobs, unless they are subcontractors to a builder. It seems that they are only in it for service contracts, new installs, and emergency service. Since I had heard so highly of Chapman, this whole experience made me feel their high ratings must be only from installs and not this level of work. I will not be recommending Chapman to anyone in the near future.
AC was out and experiencing record heat in our area. Our family, including a pregnant wife and one year old, had to struggle with not only the heat, but lack of response from contractors/warranty company and a night at a hotel. Chapman (Christy) picked up first call and had a technician out within a few hours. Problem was diagnosed, explained clearly, and fixed quickly and professionally by Jacob. Responsive, helpful, and professional - Chapman is now my go-to for my HVAC needs!

Had issues with my heat pump. They came out quickly and did a fix but it wasn't entirely fixed. Came out quickly again and found a bigger problem that would take some time. Set me up so I could stay warm and came out within a week to fix it completely.Terrific service guys. Friendly, considerate, professional. Made sure I knew what was up at every stage.

Appointment window is pretty large, so hard to say they were punctual. But, office did call and tell me the technician was in the area and would be here in 20-30 minutes. He arrived within the time period, introduced himself. He took every precaution in this period of covid virus. He took all his measurements and explained them clearly. HVAC is good to go for another cooling season. They also installed a great water softener system for us three years ago when we purchased the house.

I apologize for the long message in advance, but it is my hopes that this is helpful. I contacted the company in order for them to assess why I was having water coming up from my tile floors in the lower level of my house. They arrived earlier than the scheduled time which was fine, but after they assessed my house and called someone because it appeared that he was not competent enough to assess the situation he then called someone else that reported that the water w). as coming from my chimney although there was no water from the chimney. It was then recommended that I contact a chimney company (which was more money on top of me paying for the assessment from Chapman Heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing). As I thought the water did not have ANYTHING to do with my chimney. I then contacted another company and they were able to assess and see that the water was coming from my air conditioning. They was able to fix the problem (thank God). When I contacted Chapman Heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing contacted scheduled an appointment to address the situation but instead I requested to speak to the manger. I was unable to speak to the manager, but left a message in which he NEVER contacted me back. Soooo I was basically out of $79 for a problem that was not assessed properly.UPDATE: After posting my review the manager contacted me to apologize and reimbursed me my $79.
Very professional organization from the scheduling process through the service call. The technician was professional, appropriately outfitted with COVID PPE and thorough including providing verbal feedback along the way. At the conclusion of the maintenance call, the technician met with me briefly to discuss any findings. I would most definitely use Chapman again and would recommend them to friends and family.
Our A/C went out, and Earl from Chapman arrived within 5 hours to diagnose the problem and give us options. He was knowledgeable and patient and thorough.

This review is about the desk staff rather than the services of Chapman. This review does not reflect the quality of service Chapman provides.When I called to ask about an estimate I was met with a seemingly nice woman, but after the few minutes of speaking with her her true colors came to light. I called to ask about an estimate on my HVAC unit and had a few simple follow-up questions.Shurely (I did not ask for the spelling of her name), began to be clearly irritated and even condescending. Her retorts started with a loud smacking of her lips disregarding any professionalism. When I started to speak, her huffing and puffing made it clear that she was not listening to me and instead waiting for a reason to end the call.After clearly wasting her time I decided to thank her for her attempt at customer service, wished her a good day, and ended the call. It is unfortunate that I did not get a chance to do business with Chapman but perhaps I will try again on a different day.

The three men that installed our new furnace and air conditioning were excellent. They were knowledgeable, personable, and courteous. They arrived at 8:30 am and departed at 4 pm. They removed the old furnace and air conditioner and installed the new system. Our Airconditioning went out and eubank was here 3 times. On sat they referred us to chapman. Desmond came to our house. This was not an ordinary visit. My husband is terminally ill. The hospice people were here, some family were here. Desmond was so professional. He realized this was a bad situation, he diagnosed the problem and had to order a part. However by some measure of luck and knowledge he was able to get us a bit of air on Sat. Monday he returned after 5 and fixed the airconditioner and did not leave until after 8 at night. You should be so proud to have him as an employee representing your company... He was professional, compassionate and understood the how miserable our situation was without air on a 90+ day. We had Chapman out November 2017 to check our furnace and the representative was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He talked us into the Chapman service agreement (2 inspections a year for a discount). He told me I wouldn't have to worry about anything that they would call in 6 months to schedule the spring inspection. They never called so I called them today and the receptionist said since the weather skipped spring and went right into summer they haven't called everyone and if I didn't hear from them it was my responsibility to call them. NOT what I was told. The soonest they can get to me now is second week of July. Not happy about their customer service. I will not resign a second year contract.

I had Chapman install a new system in my house last year and recently had the annual HVAC maintenance. Technician Aaron S. was great and extremely thorough. He asked if I'd like to know what he was doing and he walked me thru what he did and he even gave helpful tips that I can do to help prolong my system in-between annual system checks.
Technician was very professional and knowledgeable.
I've enjoyed maintenance program for over 5 years.

Aaron was our technician and was so kind and thorough. Took the time to go over everything slowly with my Dad and showed him how to check different things to look for problems! I can HONESTLY say they DO treat you like your their family!
I hired Chapman to install a new air conditioner and all went fairly well. While the installers where there I told them I had a mini split I was installing in my garage and needed someone to purge the lines as the unit was already installed and wired. The unit came charged. All they had to do was make the line connection and purge the air from the line.I quickly learned that what the installer told me was erroneous because Chapman refused to do this little job. They said they wouldn't install someone else's equipment, even though this was already installed and just having a line connected and purged.This is when I realized that Chapman isn't about customer service but about selling new units and the big profit.Yet, if you need customer service on another device then forget that. I just gave them $4k+ and that didn't buy me the courtesy to do this minor job. What is the difference between hooking up that line and purging that line and working on my old air conditioner.I thought after moving to this state I had found a service provider I might be able to count on but I was wrong.Bottom line, if you are looking for a new piece of equipment you can call Chapman, but if you are looking for customer Service call someone else.FOLLOWUP: After having received that answer from the owner I guess I am right. If you don't buy your equipment from Chapman then don't call them for service. Their answer is misleading because I told them I knew they couldn't warranty hooking up one line and purging air from the line. It is ridiculous to think anyone would think this to be a problem. I also told them the unit was already installed and simply needed the freon hookup and purge. That's called a service call.My home will not need help from them in the future. A very nice company is coming Monday to do the job. They will get my money in the future.

We got a new water heater several months ago.It took awhile for us to notice, but the hot water started smelling really bad. After some online research, we called & asked Chapmans to come and see.We are on a well. The Chapman service person ( an extremely polite and professional fellow) suggested he should remove the “ rod” in our water heater. This was one of the solutions we had read about, so we agreed.He removed the rod, and flushed the tank.YAY!!!! Almost instantly the smell was gone!!!We have had many interactions with this company, and everyone is always very polite, professional & knowledgeable.
The service was great and the tech was very professional and gracious. He also gave us some tips about the dust and the filters. We would use them again!

Gage was here to repair a leak in an outside faucet. Very professional and very polite young man. Fixed our problem in a timely manner and was on his way. We are very happy with this experience.
It was a little frustrating. Firstly, they said they'd call half an hour before he arrived as I needed to have a neighbor let him in. They called 20 minutes after he arrived, and I had to scramble to get my neighbor there. Then, he left a note saying the filter needed changed, but upon checking my contract, I had paid for a filter. When I called, they said they could schedule him to come back, but I asked if they could just leave the filter as I can't take off work and don't want to bother a neighbor again. They said they would. That was first thing this morning, and I don't have it yet as of this afternoon, but I am hopeful it will arrive. A little communication would have saved me a lot of stress.
Technician has clear expertise, arrived promptly as expected and finished our furnace tune-up in short order with all details explained before he left.
Guy did a great job of finding the problem even though he came at the end of a long, hard day.

Over the last month and a half this company have been to all three daughter’s houses. The oldest had them install a new complete HVAC system and water softener. I sat in on the quotes from other companies she had come in. Chapman came in and told her “I can sell you this type of system that the others showed you, but for the size and layout of your house it’s more than you will need” They saved her three thousand+ dollars and were incredibly nice and professional. She’s more than pleased with what they installed for her. Because of that we had them install a tankless water heater and softener in another daughter’s house and then a softener in the last daughter’s home. They are able to get you scheduled quickly. They just came back to my oldest’s house to line up a drain for us where we’re replacing a tub with a walk-in shower. From Matt & Andrew and the entire crew to The ladies who answer the phones, they are all fabulous. Cannot say enough about how great this company is. They have our business for life. Thanks guys!

KUDOS to Chapman Heating & Cooling Service. Our furnace went out last Sunday, one of the coldest days all winter. We called Chapman's (NO relation to us, just share the same last name) at 9:30 in the morning, Mr. Doug was here by 11 and did a survey on the unit, knowing it was almost 20 years old, didn't hold out to much hope for repair. After comparing the price for repair and the cost of a new unit, we opted for the new. When Mr. Doug in turn called Mr. Randy who was here within the hour to go over the financing options. Needless to say these two Gentlemen were Very knowledgeable, courteous and pleasant to deal with KUDOS again Gentlemen for making this process so non-stressful. Not to mention that these two men gave up their family time on a Sunday to come out and help our family in need. And to make it better, they were here first thing on Monday to install the new unit, again KUDOS to the young men who did the install, also very knowledgeable and courteous, didn't take them as long as thought and we were warm and toasty before noon. They gave my husband the tour to show him all he needed to know about the new unit and thermostat . I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Chapman Family and their crew, 5 STARS..... Crew did a very good job of fitting the new system in our garage. Sealed all seams so as to prevent air leaks. System works great. Chapman Heating and Cooling received my business to replace the furnace and AC in my home due to 1) great reviews 2) the salesperson that worked with me, Chris Kaiser 3) having one of the better quotes, & 4) willingness to make up for differences in the quote by upping warranty coverage to match others.Unfortunately two of my three interactions with them since installation have been negative. I'm concerned that by saving a little money up front that I sacrificed on service. I cannot comment on installation quality yet.
The people at Chapman were awesome, we replaced a 20yr old system with a new furnace/AC. They followed up quickly after the install to make sure everything ran right. Our quiet new heat is sweet.

This is Cameron, he's my Chapman Tech, not too many people ask to do a selfie with the furnace guy, except me! Our Bryant unit is newer and awesome. The A/C and Furnace was installed by Chapman. We have a regular service agreement and Cameron has found a goofy noise. He's been here for a very long time today, walking up and down stairs, outside and in. He's had the whole thing apart and has scheduled a back up appointment in a couple days. Basically, he just wants to make sure it's groovy! Have been using them for several years. Always get a call ahead of time with a status update and ETA of the technician. Technicians have always been courteous and explain what they are going to do and answer any questions that I have. Definitely recommend them if you have any Bryant systems.
My husband was using them and they gave us a quote. My husband later found out they one of the guys had an attitude and was talking bad about my husband to our renter and then called my husband and talked bad about the renter to my husband. So we called had a few more quotes and both the quotes said what we were told and quoted by Chapmans was not true. TWO other companies had the same diagnosis that didn’t match Chapman’s. Not to mention WAY over priced!!! Our tenants now have a cold house in the 90 degree weather and we didn’t have to spend 2 grand more than what we were told!!

Recently our air conditioner quit working & I called Chapman Heating & Cooling. When I spoke with Christy who was very polite & easy to work. She asked what was wrong with her air conditioning I told her it quit cooling , it tries to start but won’t come on . She responded it’s probably the capacitor, she suggested sending out a tech.She sent Chris who also was very polite & informative . He said indeed it was the capacitor . He did not have one on the truck he had to order one because ours was smaller, he came the next day and installed it & our air conditioner works perfectly ! My heat pump recently stopped working and it was old enough that replacement was the best option. So thus started the process of getting quotes from different contractors. I chose Chapman primarily to get a quote from a Bryant dealer, but also because of their reputation on Google. However, I was quickly disappointed when the salesman showed up. He acted like he did not want to be there and did not seem overly eager to answer my questions. His demeanor left with me no confidence that Mowery actually cared about me as a customer. Eventually, he did give me a quote, but it wasn't even in the ballpark, in terms of thousands of dollars, compared to quotes I got from much better companies. The two stars are for showing up on time and doing the bare minimum (giving me a quote), but I'd recommend staying away from them as there are much better options out there.

Very prompt on a weekend! Heat was out, and was fixed in less than 15 minutes. Price was well under what I expected, and the Tech went out of his way to help educate me on what the issue was, including going above and beyond with some simple maintenance. Will use again!
I have used companies all over Indiana and this is by far the most outrageously priced one I have ever seen. They have a HUGE mark up on parts trying to get full system replacements. Buyers beware of their tactics. Tried to charge me $718 for simple AC fan motor.I had them out last month for my furnace and should have realized then how bad they were and not had them back again. Their technician did not even give me a price quote and went ahead just fixed the part without asking and charged me over $400 for a simple ignitor replacement for a $30 part that took only a few minutes to replace. Never again Chapman!!!!

From my mother:Chapman Heating and Air Conditioning has proven to be one of the most ethical, professional and trusting organizations in the industry. When we were told we needed to replace our HVAC immediately by a competitor, we called Chapman to get a 2nd estimate. Chris visited our home, evaluated our equipment and rather than promote a replacement, recommended a 2nd opinion inspection or our existing by one of Chapman’s technician.Brad came to our home the very next day (coldest of the year to date) completed an inspection and confirmed the assessment that our system was not on life support and the investment in a new system at this time was not recommended. We then received a detailed report of the evaluation, pricing options for a new system and follow-up phone calls to ensure we were comfortable with the results.In the future, Chapman will be our first and only call.

Waking up on one of the coldest days of the winter so far, without heat was not fun. I called Chapman and had someone out to diagnose the problem the same day. No one wants to hear they need a new furnace, but the fact was our existing furnace was 20 years old. Sure, it could have been repaired. But, repairing a 20 year old furnace was not the wise choice and I was given both options. The next day, Scott and Mike showed up to install our new furnace. Not only were they respectful of our home by cleaning up thoroughly after the installation, they took the time to walk me through our new equipment. I've always been pleased with my service from Chapman. Used a few different vendors for HVAC before, but since working with them I have been very satisfied.
Our service tech was Ken and he did an exceptional job servicing our furnace and also explaining what he did and his recommendations for the future. He went above and beyond we appreciate his fine service and personal personality.
Bailey was superb and thorough. He explained his findings in detail and was most courteous and professional. Dispatcher Linda was clear and helpful in communicating the tech's arrival time.
We experienced a loss of refrigerant in our AC unit. The technician did a thorough job of searching for the , but because of the location of the evaporator unit and the refrigerant lines, he was unable to do a complete inspection and could find no leak. We will meet with another Chapman representative to determine what to do next.
I called because of a concern with my furnace and water heater. They sent out a technician that afternoon. Technician was very thorough and went above and beyond to ensure our concern was addressed. They have been a great company to work with.

Steve was great! He figure out my major problem right away. My system has a historical issue that others have never figured out. Steve listened to me describe it and when my system short cycled - he was on it and found a loose wire. A LOOSE WIRE! Now, my system runs normal. Service was great, so was Tom. The only thing I didn't like was that I wrote a check and it wasn't even turned in until the following Monday, therefore it wouldn't clear my bank until a week later. And I thought when something such as parts are covered under warranty that they were replaced, yet I was charged. Not sure I like that.

I use Chapman for semi-annual maintenance on heating and cooling systems. Always dependable. The service techs are very effective at explaining what has been done. This is money well spent.
My thermostat broke and it quickly rose to near 90 degrees in my house. Tyler from Chapman got out quickly, walked me through what the problem was so I can watch for it in the future, and got a new thermostat installed in the same day.

This company called (8:40am) me earlier than my appointment (10-2) because they were in my neighborhood, and when ahead and came by. All they did was told me that they don’t work on my brand of water heater, charged me $90, and then left. No referral to a company that could actually help. It was a waste of time, and a scam.

I was extremely impressed with Jacob’s honesty, wisdom and advice about our extensive furnace problem. He had a very good understanding and ability to communicate realistically the options we had.
While they were Johnny on the spot , and my furnace is ancient, I got charged over $700 for a part that I just googled and is roughly $130.
I understand profit and loss but is 1.5 hours labor really $500 ? , I understand $100 of that is the service fee but wow ! They did a great job if you can afford it !
