They did a FANTASTIC job! Jerome Poole was absolutely amazing. He was very polite and profession. Explained everything; simple to understand. They were fast about coming. We had one company that couldn't make it until Wednesday and another until Friday but Armor Air came right away as we were without water since Saturday and have two disabled, elderly moms living with us. I would definitely recommend them to everyone and will always re-use their services when needed. Thank you very much and have a wonderful Holiday.

My experience is that this company, Freddie in particular, tried through deceptive means to sell us a unit we do not need.

Armor Air was called for a second opinion about a warranty replacement of the TXV. I showed Freddie the meter readings from a very recent service inspection. We have since learned from two other contractors that those readings were perfectly normal for a system operating without a cooling load.

First, Freddie said, “You have a problem”. Then he used a megohm meter to “show” me that the compressor was bad. He didn’t even refer to the equipment characteristics to determine what the meter should be reading.

All other communications were about what I should buy. Once I learned that the meter readings indicated the unit was fine to operate “as is”, I let Freddie know our decision. I heard nothing back

It was a week or so before there was a need to run the air conditioning. When it did not cool, the outdoor unit was inspected and three problems were found. 1) The breaker was left in the off position. 2) The compressor was left unplugged. 3) The fan mounts were left loose. Freddie chose not to inform us of any of these items he left to prevent the operation of the system.

My advice is to find a reputable contractor, and I don’t think these are those people.

Dylan was wonderful. He let me know when he would be at my home, showed up on time and did a very thorough job of making sure my furnace was in good shape. He and Armor Air never make me feel pressured about purchasing services and give me realistic options that fit my budget. This is the second time Dylan has been out to my home and he is always friendly and professional. Due to this quality of service and transparency, I will continue to utilize Armor's services.

Our AC was behaving sketchy since before Memorial Day weekend, but by yesterday (6/2/23) it was on life support! Not knowing if the company we had used for our heating needs in 2006 was still in business, I reached out to a former student, Michael Stevens, to come by & check out the AC to see if it could be saved!
In less than an hour he delivered the bad news...life support wouldn't save our AC! After a brief discussion with my husband we chose to replace the AC with Armor Air!! I made the call back to Michael Stevens to give him the go ahead for installation..My husband and I filled our the paperwork on our patio Friday late afternoon and BAM...John and Chad were at our home before 8 AM today (6/3/23) & done before 10 AM!!
Cool air is pushing quietly through the house and the temperature is going in the RIGHT direction!!

We were incredibly impressed with Armor Air & their service team!! I would recommend them in a heartbeat!! It's good to know that there are still good people doing good thing!!

Christian recommended getting a new furance and a/c unit, and we are so glad he did, especially with having a new baby in the house and the cold winter coming. He was very personable and I enjoyed speaking with him while he was in my house. The people who came and put our new unit in NEXT DAY were very nice too!

Christian arrived on time (big plus) to assess my indoor air quality. He was professional in every way and efficient in his testing. The price was reasonable and only took 30-45 mins.

He explained the process and did a quick inspection of my mechanicals.

Having my air tested was important to me, nice to have a peace of mind.

Lance aways does a great job with my AC maintenance. He informed me of some issues the AC was having with my fan motor. When I called back in to get the repair done he came right out to do the job. I would highly recommend Armor Air and I will be using them in the future.

Terry was very helpful, inspecting all plumbing connections in my 25 year old home. Obviously, I was due for a few repairs, mostly to prevent major issues in the future. He very patiently described these to me so I could prioritize and make wise decisions.

I don't appreciate the service. The technician was not on time. I needed my furnace pilot lit and the technician said he would not light it on, that my furnace was leaking carbon monoxide and that I needed to buy a new furnace. I got a second opinion and my other technician was able to light the pilot and I even bought a new carbon monoxide detector and there was no signs of any carbon monoxide. I felt like they were only thing to get me to replace my old furnace and sell me a knew one. I would not recommend this company to anyone and always get a second opinion.I communicated my concern and I was told I could not get a refund for the service diagnosis.

Our HVAC was blowing hot air with the AC on and Lance quickly troubleshooted and noticed the thermostat and heat pump weren’t wired properly. We were given a quote before repair and after about an hour, everything was fixed and we are now good to go for the incoming summer months.

Terry did a full house inspection and suggested a replacement of our water heater and add a water softener. Terry was very professional, honest and trustworthy. He put us under no pressure at all, and explained in great detail what his suggestions were. We highly recommend Terry to check out your plumbing needs.

Always happy with the service I receive! Lance did excellent work and explained everything in detail. He was kind and patient while answering my questions and made sure I was comfortable with everything before he left.

We use Armor Air for our rentals all the time. Lance was awesome! Looking forward to have a cooler home.

Terry, arrived on time, very professional and courteous, kept us informed of every step of the business and addressed our concerns. Assisted in upgrading our tankless water heater and worked to get a great offer for the installation an purchase. Very friendly and easy to talk with! Great guy!

Our new nest was replaced by a Honeywell thermostat when my tenants called the technician to check on the hot air flow. Nest was 3 months old in the house and mostly had a wiring issue which could have been fixed in other ways is what I felt. The attached image was the error on the nest and the next thing I know is I am being charged $407 for the new thermostat installation saying the nest is not working!! Since it was during the winters I did not want my tenants suffer and I was also not present at the location, paid the bill. Technician was Lance Estes I think and not happy with the service.

Update: now the same issue is happening in the house where cold air is not blown. Waiting on armor air’s diagnosis after the visit. The technician this time told that it’s not the thermostat issue(armor air’s installed thermostat)

The very first person who came here to try to install the HALO unit didn't do a thing right. It wasn't even connected! When he left, we noticed the silver electrical tape was coming apart & the unit was FALLING OUT of our furnace! I called Christian later that day & he said It'll still work. Just put some duct tape around it. WOW! SERIOUSLY?! Christian is an extremely kind, professional & patient person... I just later found out that he hadn't installed but a couple of these HALO units. I couldn't understand why they sent him here when Armor Air knew I wanted HALO installed. ?

After I requested a knowledgeable worker over, you sent an older (thank GOD) gentleman named Tim (with age comes experience!). Tim took one look & looked really shocked. He said one major thing was forgotten in this installation & then upon further inspection, he actually said none of this was done correctly. Do you remember who did this? So anyways, he took about 20-30 minutes to do the job right. I thought maybe some dust in our house was making me have severe allergies (b/c this is the FIRST TIME I've EVER had a single allergy problem... but I started getting a runny nose, sneezing, really raspy voice which was the WORST, eyes constantly watering, etc). Tim said in about 3 weeks, I should notice my allergies go away (if our air quality was indeed the cause). Well, almost 3 weeks to the day, every single allergy went completely away.
BUT THEN, a different employee came over the summer for a check-up & literally that evening, every single allergy came back. My Mother started to feel her allergy symptoms again too.
I have since tried calling so he could come back here, but all to no avail.

UPDATE: I was able to get ahold of Armor Air & requested Tim ONLY. He was amazing, yet again, as he's been doing this for years (years usually turn practice into near perfection). Within minutes, he was able to inform me that the entire HALO unit was bad. It literally broke within a few months of getting it (when it should last years & years lol). He had to order a new unit last week (day before Thanksgiving) & will be installing it this week.

Terry did a great job inspecting all of my plumbing fixtures, water conditioner, sinks, etc. and made great suggestions on making improvements. He’s a real asset to Armor Air.

Mitchell went above and beyond when cleaning out our vents. So thankful we found Armor Air — we will be return customers and tell all our friends. We felt taken care of and Mitchell was so careful to not spread the dust.

I needed routine maintenance done. Christian was more than exceptional. He was patient in explaining the upgrades I need with my HVAC system and the video of the work he performed was great! It helped me truly understand the work he was doing. Finding good customer service and quality work is hard. But, great service and quality is rare. I’m glad I happened to find Christian! I will refer him to anyone I know that needs service.

We called Armor Air out because of burst heating pipes in the attic. They did a nice job of replacing the burst pipes, but I was disappointed that the heat still does not work after their repair, and getting the remaining problem(s) fixed is not included in the price. I expected that getting it working again would be part of the job.

During inspection smelled gas..called another technician and had him come and repair the leak on furnance..much appreciated

Terry came to do a full house plumbing inspection. He was polite and courteous. He was able to answer all my questions and gave recommendations without pressure. Five stars!

I called Armor Air to clear out my washer drain line on the recommendation of another plumber who couldn’t do the job. Anton Fentress showed up the next day, on-time and with a great attitude. He’s super friendly. He assessed the situation, explained what was happening, and quickly cleared the clog. He also recommended some preventative maintenance to help keep it clear longer. He was knowledgeable, honest and kind. I’m glad I found Armor Air and will certainly recommend them to others.

They wanted to charge me $22000.00 for a new furnace and Ac when mine broke.
I put my own in for $4000.00

I really hate to call Heating and air or plumbers because of how expensive they are. But I needed help with my plumbing so I called Armor Air because of their low $29 fee to just show up. They fixed my problem and moved my drain to a better location and it works great.
The only problem I have with all these companies is if you called 3 companies to give a estimate you would waste your money on fees.

Anton tested all my drains to narrow down issues. He communicated my issues very clearly and helped me find a remedy. I really appreciate the professional service given by Armor Air!

Armor air arrived at my rental home to do an inspection on my air conditioner the day BEFORE the appointment was scheduled, after 5pm. Ran a quick inspection and then came to talk to me.
I was informed that there was a MAJOR refrigerant leak and that it would cost close to 2k just to search the line for a leak. He showed me a bunch of number readings on a device, my measurements being hundreds less than where they should be. His exact words were, I could go write this all up but.... insinuating that I simply would not be able to afford the services.
Also, requested a $29 service fee that was never mentioned up until this point, and when I explained the appointment was made by my landlord and I'd never been responsible for service fees before, it immediately became an uncomfortable situation. His exact words being regardless, I'll need $29 today. He called the rental office with no answer and was able to get the fee waived after speaking to his manager. HOWEVER, at the end of his visit he let me know if I paid the $29 he would be able to update me on the communication with my landlord, which they aren't allowed to do with rentals.
My unit was replaced the year before by a different company, so my landlord contacted them for the repairs. They did their inspection and I found out that my system was not as bad as the technician had stated, and only needed a small amount of refrigerant to run cool.
I believe because I appeared to be a middle class, single, clueless woman this company attempted to take advantage of me. Be aware!!!

Michael was professional and informative. He broke down the issues in a very digestible manner and offered several options. I appreciated his kindness and being realistic about the process going forward and what my options are. Would highly recommend him and this company!

Great company to have come look at your equipment! Especially their employee lance he came out to do a routine service on my equipment and not only did he do a great job but him knowing that I didn’t know much about the maintenance of the equipment. he went above and beyond to actually show me and explain stuff to me and the stuff I should look out for!

If I could I’d give them a 10/10!!

I used armor air for topping the refrigerant and checking for leaks. The technician who came, Tim, was supposed to come back after a week to check for leaks. But he didn't show up even after 2 weeks. So, I had to call them to send another tech. Justin did spend a good amount of time looking for leaks and was quite thorough. He recommended replacing the coil. The problem is ever since he left my AC does not cool enough during the day to maintain the temperature I set. I guess I may be calling them again if this problem continues.

This company remains true to their mission, “We make it right”.
Their entire staff from the front office and each individual technician that has ever performed any maintenance or service over the years has gone above and beyond expectation. All friendly, professional and take time to explain the tasks performed and offer helpful suggestions as well!
We have recommended Armor Air to so many friends and family and will continue to do so with good conscience.

Absolutely amazing company! They’ve eased the frustration from my slumlord with their punctuality and professionalism. They called to scheduled for later that day sent a text confirmation and actually arrived early to access the damage and what was needed. Our furnace was out and we didn’t have heat for 3 day but they came the next day bright and early and we had heat before noon. Everyone was respectful from the agent on the phone to the technicians that came out. Great job guys I will definitely recommend in the future!

I had the drain pipe from my kitchen sink start to leak into my basement. Realizing that I was out of my league, I knew that I had to call in the professionals. I had previously come across Armor Air, saw the good reviews, and that they handle plumbing. I really like their price structure--knowing that you will only owe $29 in the event that you do not like what they are proposing really lowers the stress level when calling in a plumber. Amazingly, I was able to go online on a Sunday night and book an arrival for the following morning between 8 and 10 am. I received a text message that Jacob would be out and he arrived shortly thereafter. The 70-year old pipe that was leaking was buried in the wall behind my kitchen cabinets, but he expected he could fix the problem from under my sink. He gave me a reasonable proposal for fixing the problem based on what he saw, which I accepted. After he ran to the supply store to get parts and got into the wall, he found out that the problem was bigger than he expected and that the pipe would have to be replaced. He did not miss a beat and determined that he would have to get into the wall behind my cabinets. He somehow cut a neat hole in the wall through the back of the cabinet and replaced the pipe through this small hole in the wall. I think he may be a magician. Anyway, problem solved and he quickly cleaned up. When I complimented him on his creativity in solving my problem, he said that he loves his work (which I believe). Anyway, without me asking, and despite the unexpected additional work, he stood by the original price that he quoted and indicated that is his company's policy. All in all, Armor air has gained a long term customer.

Called for an A/C check on 5/10. Initial service call was good. Tech showed up around 8pm and determined fan motor on condenser was bad. Told me he would check with supply house first thing in the morning when they opened at 8. Quoted $425(just labor) if under warranty and $1025 if not under warranty. $600 for $115 fan motor is quite a mark up. So anyways, never heard anything from anyone next morning and called at 11:30. Office said tech didn’t have any notes and she would check with him. I called back at 1:30 and they were waiting to hear back if supply house had motor in stock. Called back again at 3:30 and we’re told we would receive a call once they had the fan motor. Guess what? That has now been 16 days ago and have not heard a word since our last contact to Armor Air. Called another company and in a total of literally 10 minutes I explained the situation, they called their supplier, and returned a phone call to me letting me know they can get the fan motor. Quoted me $275.00 to replace the fan motor which was under warranty. Very poor communication from Armor Air. I wouldn’t trust their follow up or pricing at this point.

New furnace and AC installed back in October 2021. First service performed by Justin. Justin was considerate, professional and polite. Showed me a video of exactly what he performed before having me acknowledge the service. I would absolutely recommend Armor Air!

Blake Rogers was very polite and professional always wore his mask and covered his feet. He was very efficient and made sure that I understood everything that he did inside and outside of our home. I was very pleased with the service call and will definitely be recommending Armour Air , especially Blake Rogers ????

My husband and I had them come out and excavate and expose our existing drain line. Cut out a section of piping and install a clean-out access with a verticle riser pipe that extends to grade. Service agreement was $149.00. The total amount we paid was $3,015.05. I cannot leave any more information because I am waiting on an answer from them regarding an issue. I will give more information once I hear from them. As everyone knows companies don't respond or do anything for customers once they get their money. I will see and so will you once I hear from them.

Micheal was on time, polite and very professional! I appreciated the videos, as our system is in the attic and we’ve never been up there! We will definitely recommend Armor Air to our friends and family.

Once again I had an major home appliance/plumbing issue occur and guess who I called? You guessed! These guys! Armor Air replaced my gas water heater and upon further review and discussion I decided to upgrade to a tankless water heater. Nick and the entire crew did an amazing installing everything and cleaning up when they finished. I most definitely recommend them should you have any HVAC or plumbing problems. Thanks again guys!

Michael Stevens and his trainee was professional, friendly and timely. He answered all my questions thoroughly with a smile. He is customer service oriented & very knowledgeable technician.

The technician that came out to our place today was Lance and he did an amazing job. He was so nice and gave me so much information about some problems we were having. I highly recommend this company and if you can request Lance to come out and help I recommend it.

Chad, Mike, Zane and Christian did an AMAZING JOB!! Christian the service technician came in and explained my Indoor Air Quality problems and made sure to make affordable options to resolve my issues. The dryer vent cleaning was well needed, and the Install was flawless. Everything looks really good and I will recommend them to all my friends and family.

He was professional from the time he walked through the front door until the moment he walked out.

Had them come out because my AC unit outside wouldn't come on. I self diagnosed the problem as having a bad capacitor. The technician came out and replaced it, and is now running smoothly. Super nice guy and courteous. Sucks a 20 dollar part installed cost 320.00 but it is what it is. Not sure why you get charged for a service call either when you're paying for a repair. All and all would recommend, and will use again in the future.

Installed a sink and faucet in my kitchen. They did a great job. Scheduling was easy and quick. When one of the guys had to leave unexpectedly, they sent someone else out to finish the job. Both were great!

I had a very good experience with Justin. He was patient, and very professional. I am hard of hearing and had to ask Justin to repeat some things he said. He was VERY patient about that. He did his job, too, in a very timely manner.

A+!!! This company is incredible! Anton with Armor Air came out to inspect our main drain line which had become clogged. When he discovered that our clean-out access had issues, he could have easily charged us much more for the time/effort he spent hand-digging to get access and then finally getting the clogs cleared. But he didn't. He stood by the company's standard $79 fee to clear any drain. I was so impressed by Anton's honesty and willingness to try to save me money that I have hired Armor Air to service my furnace and clean all of our ductwork. So very glad my family was blessed when Anton helped us out! Thank you again Armor Air and please let Anton know that he deserves a raise! ?

Very good experience, Nick, who I was in contact with, was very courteous & professional. Did an excellent job replacing water heater and installing water softener. Only problem had small rip on my floor. Hopefully they will take care of it. From my experience would recommend Armor Air to anybody. Thanks again Nick for your knowledge & job well done ??.

This company is the most professional business I have dealt with in Indianapolis so far. They have done a wonderful work at my home. They replaced all my ducts, installed a new 2.5 Ton AC unit with a cage for theft prevention, installed a sump pump and pit in my cellar, and added two gas lines under crawlspace. It was all done promptly and at a fantastic quality. They are not the cheapest but the adage holds true... you get what you pay for.

Anton fixed the drain problem quickly. He was kind from the moment he said hi. His customer service skills are some of the best I've seen. I'm 60, and I have worked with the public for decades. It is wonderful to meet someone of the young generation who has respect, knowledge, and ability to fix a problem while remaining kind. He is an asset for Armor Air, and Anton will go far in life. And no, I never knew him prior to today. I prayed before he arrived, and God brought a blessing. Hallelujah! Thanks Anton!

I had a really old furnace and folks at Armor Air really took care of me and my home. Cooper came first and provided me some estimated and the price was fair and I didn't feel like they were there to rip me off. Tucker and Mike (sorry if I didn't get the names right) did amazing work in replacing and installing the new furnace. They went above and beyond and provided valuable information to questions and things they saw from the prior installer. I'm just happy to have a new unit and armor air on my side if anything goes wrong.

Anton arrived on time and had the sink unclogged in minutes! Even took a couple more minutes to educate me for future issues. He was very professional and friendly.

Our technician Michael was very courteous and extremely knowledgeable. He answered all my questions regarding ductwork that lead to bedrooms that were added onto the house and provided helpful tips to get our house running more efficiently. He even brought our trash cans in from the curb because he is such a swell guy. Even our chihuahua liked him! Seriously, the nicest technician we have had in our house. I also appreciated the VERY detailed inspection with reports, pictures and videos created by Armor Air.

He went into my attic after I told him 3 rooms were excessively dusty. He took a photo to show me an issue and sent a quote.

Also showed him an area in my yard where grassed was killed July 14 when water from my old water softener was spilled/emptied in my yard and killed grass. I told them I wasn’t too worried about it and it would probably grow back but it hasn’t after 5 months.

The heat had been going off and on. We called armor air and Lance quickly came out and fixed the problem for us. He was extremely efficient and a friendly guy. Armor air is a good and honest company.

Anton was especially courteous helpful patient and a very enjoyable person to communicate with. This is my second Major repair with Armor and very pleased with their work

I wanted the special they offer but apparently you have to have a certain kind of home because they said their technicians aren't trained to hook up a gas line and a water line. So, what are they trained to do? I even offered to install it myself if they'd bring the water heater. Against policy. They offer a great deal but when you try to get it, they say it's gonna be over a hundred just to install. Would give negative stars but not an option. Shouldn't be advertising this cause it's just to get people sucked in.

The install was prompt and short notice during a heat wave was a refreshing response...pardon the pun...considering the previous repairman I called had said I can't get to it. I asked how long I have no working a.c. and he replied well I don't have any working air conditioning in my house either. ...I hadn't recalled asking him that, armor air is a real company, professional, to the point, fast, honest, and fair. I had a friend at the time who had been working at A.L. in town, I called her on her cell and asked for her personal recommendation of a solid company near me, who's going to be someone I can stick with ... end of story.

We had a technician out to diagnose why our heater wasn't turning on. Although he did diagnose the problem correctly, he immediately jumped to recommending that we replace the whole system. Our HVAC system is only 8 years old. Turns out we could order the parts ourselves (even the ones that didn't need to be replaced, but just maybe should be considered in the near future) for just under $300 and was easily replaced without help. He quoted us $3700 for the whole system replaced and almost $900 to replace something that we replaced for under $200 alone. From the minute he sat down with us I could tell he was trying to sell us on replacing everything without any true cause. He also only showed my husband all of the information when we all sat down at the table when I was the one that made the call and who has the knowledge about the system. That was fairly offensive. I'm grateful I had the knowledge to know that this was completely unnecessary recommendations aimed to either replace our system or get us to sign up for a maintenance membership. Many other people might just assume he was being cautious and waste a lot of money. I called because of the great reviews of this company. I'm thoroughly surprised by our bad experience. Please think before you choose to replace a whole system just because it's getting up there in years. When most systems last 15-20 years, don't try to sell that at 8. Get a second opinion from someone who is willing to make the fix and who doesn't charge almost $600 for labor charges for something that took 15 minutes and 4 screws to fix.

The office staff is wonderful and they were extremely timely. He did diagnose the problem correctly. That is why I gave 3 stars and not 1.

We had an old water heater that caused some flooding in our basement. I ended up calling Armor Air, who sent Nick out to us. Nick gave us multiple options on how we can go about our system, offering new ideas such as a tankless heater, installing a new tank or removing a tank and re-distributing the piping so water flows to the one good tank we have. Since it was near Christmas time, we decided to have Nick re-pipe and remove the old heater. He did an amazing job, cleaned up after himself, and helped my mom with an odd random plumbing question regarding her bathroom faucets. I will definitely go back to Armor Air and hopefully request Nick for their services when we decide to go tankless! Very professional and patient. Just a great overall experience.

My neighbor used this company for a sewer dig. After they came and parked the truck on my lawn to dig and repair their sewer under the driveway. End of job all the pipes under the truck on my yard needed replaced. Which in turn had me for half of the new dig. They also won’t come back to fill the hole once it sinks in. That is on the home owner. Beware!!!

Clearly Anton cares about the reputation and image of the firm for which he works as he emplifies superlative workmanship, top notch professionalism, and apropos fastidiousness in appearance. My wife is already clamoring for us to vacate Bassett's annual services for Armor Air's own which offer considerably more. Our issue was that we had a clogged P-Trap in the basement condensation collection point (drain). After lacerating several fingers, I didn't have the heart to continue trying to fix a problem for which I have none of the necessary tools and, honestly, know how. Anton was able to fix the problem with alacrity, and I'm happy that he is not the type of person who makes the homeowner feel silly for not being able to do it themselves. I am hopeful that all employees offer this kind of service because I'm the type of buyer who prefers building long time relationships with local firms and their people.

We had a new water heater installed by Armor Air Spencer our service tech did not give up until he found a way to help us we are very greatful to him and the rest of the team at Armor Air and i cant forget Christian the hvac tech he came over to help and also did a tune up on the furnace that is great service. Technician showed up to adjust blower motor on AC system because AC wasn't blowing cold air. He got the AC running. The next day it stopped working and when I scheduled an appointment with the company to have the tech come back out no one showed. Pricing to adjust the motor seemed a little steep.

My SIL called to get a blower wheel and blower motor replaced. A guy came today and within minutes said they needed a new furnace. $6K What they needed was a blower motor (possibly) and definitely a new blower wheel. So when they guy was told absolutely not to the replacing a whole furnace he said $2K to replace the blower motor and blower wheel.

I’m sorry but parts cost $200. I can see labor being a couple hundred-maybe even $300, but $2K is unacceptable.

Pretty sad when companies don’t actually want to do “repair work” and just want to replace systems.
