Tonya and Paul did an amazing job of getting our rental property leaking pipe scheduled and fixed. The scheduling was easy and they showed up on time and fixed the problem. They even sent pictures of their completed work since my tenant was home at the time. Quality work, awesome customer service! I’m so impressed I’m using them for a leak at my own home. I have no doubt they will take care of this as well! Thank you, Carters!

Friendly consultant showed up on time and presented estimate for work. He was able to arrange for an install tech to come out an hour or so later. The installer was cleanly dressed, professional and we were back with hot water from a quality water heater within an hour and a half or so. Very pleased with the nicely installed up to code water heater system. Thank you Carter Team ( Trent, Joey and Brandon)!! Very pleased!

Joe B was highly professional and a skilled plumber. I had a tanked water heater that was leaking and we decided to switch to tankless. Joe planned the installation over 10 minutes and brought all the tools he needed the next day. He came in at 9.30 am with his helper Peyton and they did an amazing job from planning the installation, running the gas lines, running the water lines. The project wasn't simple yet he made it look effortless. Around 10 am, another senior project manager stopped by and checked on Joe's plan and work. Personally, I appreciate that a lot since installation involved drilling holes in the siding of the house. They treated my house with utmost professionalism and I am extremely happy with the results. Now, I have unlimited hot water and a team of reliable plumbers I could recommend to neighbors and friends. The project pricing wasn't cheap but worth every penny to support a local business that hires skilled tradesman.

Holy cow is all I can say. Had a leak in my basement that I was pretty sure was the main soil stack in the wall. Huge job that I didn't want to deal with. I called them at 7:30 am. They were here at 8:30, assessed the problem (huge Crack in the main soil stack) and had a team out working on it within another hour. The price was significantly less than I was expecting for such a big job. Replaced the pipe through the wall from the 2nd floor to the basement with all the fittings and they were pleasant the whole time. In one day!

I used this business for the hydro jetting of my main line because of roots. Jacob came out and did a wonderful job clearing my line. I was told by other companies just need to get my sewer line pulled up and fixed, one of them didn't even look in my line just quoted me something INSANE and basically said to have someone else do it, so I did. There wasn't trying to sell me other high price services I just couldn't afford at the time. I'd most definitely recommend this company for your ALL plumbing needs and when I'm ready for the big purchase of digging up those pipes I know who exactly to call. Thank you guys you've saved me alot!

Paul came out and checked the leak on my water heater. After looking at it, he advised that it was 15 years old and would need to be replaced eventually, so I trusted him and decided to go ahead and replace it with a new 12 year warranty model. He was so nice and explained everything. Will definitely use Carters again for any plumbing issues I have.

Carter’s My Plumber installed a new water softener and hot water heater for us today. They were absolutely phenomenal! They were on time, took diligent care for our carpet and floors, worked quickly and took the utmost care to go above and beyond in every detail in completing our job. The equipment is excellent and the customer service is extraordinary. The cost was fair and we simply could not be happier! We will always only call Carter’s My Plumber for any of our plumbing needs! Had a water heater replaced and relocated. Quote was reasonable, explained well and they were happy to answered all the questions I had. They were able to get me scheduled in for the next day. Paul and Jess were professional and efficient with the install. I work from home, but they did not create a big disturbance, as they came and went for tools, etc. Afterwards, they walked me through everything they had done. I was given their name when my water heater unexpectedly went out.Able to schedule quickly to get the water heater installed during 36 degree weather. Alex was very professional and knowledgeable. He completed the work in a timely manner.Their office staff (Trisha) is the best. We had a clogged kitchen sink drain. Customer service was excellent the technician they sent was excellent. Very knowledgeable and friendly young man, Elijah. This was my first time using Carter’s but truly doubt it’ll Be my last time using them. I know my neighbors have used them as well but I certainly will not hesitate referring others to them.So don’t wait to call, your problems aren’t going to fix themselves, give them a call and get them on the job ! After discovering I had a leaking, non working water heater I went to the web in search of help. Unexpectedly, I came across Carter Cares! As a single mother, I fit the qualifications of the program. I sent a request through their easy to use application process. A very short time after I was contacted by the office and scheduled for an inspection. Upon completion and approval I was surprised to hear I had been selected as their months free water heater recipient! Within a few days I received a new water heater, installation and hot water absolutely free of charge! I cannot begin to express my gratitude towards the Carter's Plumbing Team. Phil and Ryder have now done two plumbing dig jobs for my family. One at my grandmas and now one at my moms. They are always informative, quick, efficient and easy to work with. They did great work and always make sure to go above and beyond. Matt also came out and did the initial inspections for both jobs and helped give great quotes and answered the many questions they had about the work. Alex and the whole crew at Carter's were fantastic all of the way through!We had a leak on our hot water heater that was causing damage to our baseboard. We called at 8 in the morning and had Alex at our door before 10.From the moment I rang the office till the time I paid the bill everyone involved was courteous and professional. Alex did a fantastic job of explaining our issue, finding the root cause of it, and explaining the options to resolve it. He took extra time out of his day to ensure that we received the best price possible for the work and parts.I can't recommend this group enough for any plumbing needs you might have. I'm sure anyone there would do the same, but we will be requesting Alex to come do any future work we might need.It comes with good piece of mind as well, with a fantastic warranty that I doubt we'll need to use but feel confident about.

I love my new water softener!! It was super easy to make an appointment for the estimate and they installed my new water softener same day!! Jerrad was AMAZING! He was thorough, thoughtful, pleasant, knowledgeable and very kind. Unknowingly, my tub was pouring out water into the tub all night and the handle couldn't shut it off. While here, I asked him questions about how I could fix my toilet (that ran for 6 minutes per flush) and the garbage disposal (that had a leak). But, with that info. I realized it was beyond my realm of ability to do the necessary work. He was fast and efficient in returning my home to a fully functional state of operation. I called Carter to give me an estimate for a new tankless system. They came out the next morning and the price could not be beat! They installed the same day ( and arrived to do it about 45 minutes later..WOW) Paul was the expert installer. He was professional and friendly and got the work done right (and fast too)! He took time to go over installation and features/safety and usage tips. I will definitely be using Carter again in the near future! SUPER IMPRESSED!

I called for service and they were able to come to my home within 2 hours of my service call. ! My technician Brad W. was very helpful and explained all of the repairs and warranty while he was here. He was very respectful of my home and did good clean work! I will be asking them to send him back the next time I need their services!

Brandon was amazing as he quickly came to the rescue after my water pipe burst! He was very professional, educated me on what went wrong, quickly repaired the busted pipe, and was very kind and reassuring throughout the process. I called Carter's My Plumber regarding an issue with one of my toilets. They were able to send someone out that afternoon. Luke was very professional and on time. I ended up replacing two toilets and he also helped us out with some water pressure issues in the other bathrooms. Just a well run business. 10/10!

Our water heater quit working. Because of a previous vist from Carter's and the previous plumber was honest. I called Carter's. From the get go, they were on it. Tonya set of the appointment for our service. Jody he was helpful and quick with a quote. Plus helped with our financing. Alex did a great job on the water heater installation. Alex even corrected what a previous plumber did wrong. Brought everything up to code. Keith did a great job on installing the water softener. Both Keith and Alex were patient and knowledgeable. They answered all my husband's questions. They are honest and fast. It is hard to find a honest plumbing company. These people are the best.

Jacob Treon was the plumber and he cleaned out my drain thoroughly in little time. He was very knowledgeable and very pleasant. He gave me tips on what and what not to do in the future. I was very satisfied with the service and with Jacob taking care of my issue; very professional!

Elijah Wiggin was on time, dressed professionally, worked professionally, was very knowledgeable and did a good job of asking us questions to make sure we identified the correct root cause of our issue. We asked him to do a little more than we had a originally thought necessary and he was very happy to accommodate. He was also very friendly and personable.

Carter's did an amazing job fixing a drain line that was broken during a fence install. They got out to give an estimate and made the repair incredibly quickly and did an amazing job for a very reasonable price. Will definitely call them in the future if I have another plumbing issue.

We were having our Family Christmas gathering on Friday the 30th. We were deep in preparation for the party when we noticed the hot water heater was leaking, and we had no hot water. After calling the first plumber we were told they could not come out until Tuesday. The 2nd came to give us a quote, but could not install until Wednesday! Finally, I remembered those commercials we see EVERY weekday about Carter's My plumber. We called them and sure enough, they were not only able to come same day for an estimate, they were also able to install that day as well. Christmas was saved, and got a better deal and price than what the others offered. Taylor came to install the new system and he was quick, courteous and professional. Shout out to Taylor...the man deserves a raise or bonus!Thanks so much!

I had my water heater replaced by Carter in November and I was happy with the service (I'm just late in writing a review). Mine started leaking steadily on Sunday, I called and they were able to replace it on Monday. They gave a 2-hour window of service time, not the entire day like other plumbers, and that was more convenient. Brad who was my service person was very friendly and professional. We were talking about the pipes since we were looking at them from the basement and I only commented that the sink was slow draining but I didn't think anything of it and he said he'd check it out. In less than 5 minutes he cleared it and it's still draining quickly and he didn't even add a charge for it! And I only had him there for the water heater replacement (which went smoothly). So I think that shows a company that cares about the customer and is happy to go above and beyond when it makes sense. I know this is probably dependent on the season and not always offered, but a week or so after my service, I got a coupon on behalf of Carter's to spend on Thanksgiving turkey too and you can bet I used it! So kind and useful! I will absolutely contact them in the future for plumbing needs and recommend them.

Elijah was fantastic. It was like a family member came by to help with a leaky sink. We have a dog and she was nervous about a stranger in the house. Installed a kitchen sink, faucet and garbage disposal for us at a reasonable price. The job was difficult as the old counter did not fit the new sink and some creative adjustments had to be made. Alex was very thorough and patient and stayed a bit after hours to make sure the job was finished and done right. Thank you Alex!

Our water heater was leaking and beyond repair as we knew it was at least 10 years old. We called Carter's in Greenwood and they exceeded our expectations from start to finish! They were able to arrive an hour earlier than the established appointment time and replaced our water heater and stand within 2 hours time. Paul Pierson and Brandon installed our water heater, cleaned up the mess and were a pleasure working with. The whole team, including Joedy Davis were polite, professional and did exactly what they said they would do! 5 stars to the whole team.

I phoned and they were able to come out the same day to help with a plumbing emergency. The plumber, Brandon, was very helpful explaining everything and getting this fixed that I decided to have him replace our water heater also which he did a fantastic job with and cleaned up afterwards nicely. They will be my “go to” plumbers from now on, thank you! ?

Jared did an awesome job!! Was so excited that he was able to clear the drain that I offered to do the clean up but he insisted on making sure there was no mess left behind. Used Carter’s for a different issue last October and since it was a positive experience, decided to use them again today. Carter’s is the one to call!!!

Our water heater had failed. I called Carter Plumbing around 9:00 the next morning. They had a very knowledgeable service agent at my house before 10:00. We needed a new water heater, which was installed before noon, by another very nice and knowledgeable agent, Elijah. We had a choice of service contracts and have no doubt that Carter Plumbing will take good care if us!! It is great doing business with a lical, family-owned business that does things right!!

I discovered a leak in my crawl space Sunday afternoon. Tonya was able to schedule an appointment for Monday morning. Paul and Gabe arrived first thing in the morning and were efficient in fixing the repair. This is my third time using Carter’s and will continue to use them for future plumbing needs.

They came out to do our annual water heater flush and replaced our garage disposal. I also got a couple of quotes for our next projects. He did a great job, I'm very pleased. They are consistent and professional.

Had water leaks due to handyman special & Alex showed up saw the issue’s & immediately knew what needed to be done! Excellent service, great explanation & professionalism in ever manner! Great job & quickly finished & double checked all work before leaving!

Another contracting firm renovated my kitchen and it involved relocating my refrigerator. The hose for the ice maker wouldn’t reach so they just patched in cheap plastic hose to the new location. In the last few weeks, the hose popped off twice and had a pinhole leak today. I clamped it temporarily (no valve) and called Carter’s My Plumber. Alex came out within a couple hours of calling, discussed options, and did a great job. He removed the old hose, capped off the pipe it was connected to, installed all new pipe under the house, installed a valve at floor level behind the fridge, and ran a new hose that was thicker, has a woven metal protective layer. Carter’s My Plumber has worked on my home twice and both times they did an amazing job. It wasn’t a cheap fix, but if you want it done right, pay a more for these folks.

I called Carter’s on a Friday afternoon and was able to get an appointment next day. Taylor was on time and was able to diagnose and fix the issue in about an hour. Price was reasonable. Would highly recommend Carter’s for services.

Luke was awesome! Detected leak under kitchen sink and indicated it was a faulty sprayer. He showed us a new faucet he could pick up and install which we agreed to. I called because both of my bathrooms seemed to have developed leaks. Tim was very thorough in showing me what the problem was, showing me where the water was leaking. AND when it turned out to be a sealing problem rather than a plumbing problem, he gave me advice on how to get the repairs done. I very grateful that Tim was honest and thorough in explaining the problem, so I understood how to proceed.

Carter’s responded to my phone message within 90 minutes on a Sunday night and sent Jacob out by 9:15 the following morning. He promptly diagnosed the problem with our leaky faucet and had it corrected within a few minutes after retrieving the necessary replacement part. The service was fast and professional; Jacob was very courteous and polite.

Carter's My Plumber recently installed a tankless water heater for me, and I am pretty happy with the results.I got quotes from 5 other places, and while CMP was not the cheapest, they were the ones that I trusted the most, and felt that they would deliver quality service for my project. They were also not the most expensive, with 4 of the other quotes running higher.Between Larry's friendly and helpful pitch on making the upgrade, Tonya's help in coordinating, and Paul and Wes's expert installation, it was a pleasant, friendly and professional interaction.I would use them again, and I will recommend them to my friends.

I called to make an appointment at 9am. I had a brand new water heater installed and ready to use by 3pm. Outstanding service is an understatement. Everyone was super nice and open on costs.

They did a check on our sump pump and they cleaned the water heater and water softener. He did a great job he was very personable. We’ve always had good service from Carter.

2nd time I've called Carter's for plumbing. The plumber Paul did such a great job last time, I called again for my new water heater issues. Paul had retired, so Jacob came out and looked at my water heater. Jacob was friendly, personable, and went through the troubleshooting process with me to locate the issue.Unfortunately, my water heater wasn't worth saving, so Jacob helped me with options and financing for a new one. He showed excellent craftsmanship in what he did and even improved what I had over the last unit. Homeowner issues are always stressful and costly no matter who you use, but everytime I use Carter's I know I'm getting a quality job from people who take pride in their work. Both Paul and Jacob have helped me with my homeowner issues and I will use Carter's again.

Fixed a leak in the water main, and found and repaired a leak in the SLAB FOUNDATION!! Two unrelated incidents, but they did them both in one day, including jackhammering and concrete work. May look like gentle Clark Kent, but they must have Superman ID cards somewhere in those pockets.

Called to get a quote on a service. They won't give you one unless you give them your home address in full. They should not need all of this information for a quote the city you live in should be enough. I reluctantly gave them all the information they said they needed and then they said they would call back with a quote. I never heard back from them. Guess they have enough customers since they are one of the biggest plumbing companies around Indy. The fact they have unprofessional office staff working for them like this who can't take care of business made me choose another local plumber.

Brandon was our technician today. Amazing service, very friendly and timely. Highly recommend if all employees are like Brandon!

OUTSTANDING.We had an appointment with Carters today. Elijah W. From Greenwood was our repairman.I had clogged our pipes bad from putting to much food down the garbage disposal. The pipes backed up all into our sinks and bathtub. Flooded laundry room. Ect. It was a MESS.We had callled roto-rooter originally and they literally stared at our toilet. Took a walk around the house. Said it would be $700 and they would have to take off the toilet.We called carters instead and he looked at everything. Crawled into our crawl space to check out the pipes. Reassured us he wouldn’t have to take off the toilet! Cleared out all the pipes from going in soley underneath the sinks! He was so professional. Sweet. On time. Assured us. And it did not cost us anywhere near $700 ! FANTASTIC service! That young man deserves a RAISE! He went above and beyond!One happy family here! Cannot wait to upgrade to a better garbage disposal and outdoor clean out location from Carter Plumbing! They are the business to go with! 10 stars if I could ?UPDATE on May 2023Our water heater went out. It came with the house we bought and last 17 years! Carters was able to come the next morning and install us a new one with an awesome warranty and was done within 2 hours ???? I was very pleased with the service! The conditions working on my property are difficult due to overgrown landscape. But they were very gracious about that. They arrived when they said they would and completed the work promptly. They originally thought I might need a new sewer line, which would have been extremely expensive. But when they investigated further, they found that the problem could be fixed for much cheaper. I appreciated their honesty and integrity. A less reputable company could have taken advantage of my ignorance. I was very grateful for their attention to detail and wouldn't hesitate to call them for future repairs.

I bought a new dishwasher and needed someone to come out and discount the old one and put in the new one. I made an appointment with Carter's my plumber for the simple fact that are a family owned business and that they have been around since 1969. They also are highly rated. The lady that I talked to was honest and straight forward and I appreciate that. You don't find alot of honest people anymore. TYLER who came out for the appointment was great. He treated me with respect as well as my house. He came in and gott to work and handled everything with care and he was also very honest and straight forward as well. I am very blessed to have contacted them and will keep calling them for any further needs I am have in the future.

We went the weekend without hot water when our water heater busted. The other places we called couldn’t make it out until Wednesday. Then, thankfully, a friend recommended Carter’s, and they held up the deal they advertised. Their service man came to the house on Monday, evaluated our problem, and installed a new water in the same day. He was fantastic, and he clearly knew his stuff! Paul Pearson came out and did a wonderful job fixing our problems. He made sure we were not overcharged since we are on social security only. He also was very helpful in explaining what he was going to do and make sure it was fixed properly after he had finished. I would recommend Carters and especially Paul for any plumbing job.

Brandon and his coworker did a fantastic job removing an old jacuzzi tub and shower and replacing with new. They also removed a water filtration system and a broken garbage disposal. While working on that they noticed I needed a new ice maker line and proceeded to replace that. They left the bathroom totally ready to paint. And since I’m in the process of moving into a new home they noticed all the empty boxes in the garage and offered to take them away for me. A huge help for me. My 5 1/2 year old water heater began leaking over a weekend. It was under warranty, but the original installer could not be reached. I contacted the manufacturer and they provided me with a return shipping authorization. The replacement had to be sourced from the original seller who was located on the opposite side of Indianapolis.I had heard good feedback regarding Carter Plumbing and contacted them to see if they could get the heater and install it for me, even though it was not one of their brands.I had a very positive experience with them! I contacted them first thing on a Monday morning and immediately was able to speak with their rep. They quickly agreed to pick up the water heater and install it the same day at a reasonable price.Brandon Y. plus his helper were very pleasant and courteous, explained what they would be doing and then performed the removal of the old and installation of the new. Jacob came to help us clean out our pipes after our water softener failed and sent a ton of resin beads into our plumbing system. He flushed our pipes, explained what he was doing, and was super kind and respectful all the way around. This resin bead situation has been a bit of a nightmare and Carters has really helped us navigate through it.

Installing a tankless gas water heater entails the complexity of devising a venting strategy - no mean feat. Carters' plumbers brought their extensive experience (and courteous patience) to bear, and I am quite happy with the results. Would definitely recommend (and use) Carters again!

This place was very sympathetic to my situation with a slab leak going at a gallon and a half a min going down the drain literally. They came out in less than 30 mins and evaluated the situation after my insurance was involved they were at my house the next day detecting and repairing. The repair people were very courteous and punctual. They kept me informed of all things they were doing and took pics of everything they did for record purposes. The lady who got us set up was eager to please and assist as best age could. I recommend if you are in a bind and need fast service Carter's is who you call.

Dispatch didn't listen to my problem. When the plumber called 24hrs later, they're unwilling/unable to assist.

They came out and did my main water line which their price was a little cheaper than everyone else so I went with them and they did a good job so the next time I needed a plumber of course I called them. The next two experiences were very expensive and no good reason why. Charged me $600 to replace a garbage disposal. After looking up the cost of the disposal they charged me $500 for 30 minutes of labor. I’ll definitely call someone else next time.

I never write reviews but this time I couldn't refuse. They are very prompt and professional but I cant pay almost $800 to set a toilet and install a kitchen faucet. I have owned a commercial construction company for 30 years and am familiar with commercial pricing. My plumber was not available for a few days so I thought I would give them a try. They could have saved me an hour of my day and $40 for a service call if they would have told me on the phone that their rate for setting a toilet was $400. A competent plumber can pull that off in less than an hour. I needed a plumber today; not an attorney.UPDATE: CARTER'S WAS KIND ENOUGH TO REFUND MY 40 DOLLAR SERVICE FEE. THANKS TO CARTERS

Got our frozen water line unfrozen and water back flowing through the kitchen sink... the only thing that I thought was bad was he was only here 15 minutes and it was 307.00 dollar's which I thought was kinda on the high side.....but it was Hella cold outside and he had to get in the crawl space under the house when the wild chill was -35 degrees so I get it

Carters was my third estimate for a water heater and softener. They provided me with the necessary info, encouraged me to ask questions of them and the competition, google, and compare. Taylor was on time and very efficient with his work. The scope of his work was to flush our hot water heater of sediment. The hot water heater is just over a year old but it’s good practice. He also did a hard water test from our kitchen sink. He was very responsive to some of the questions I had about the overall process. He was done with his work in under 30 minutes. Have used Carter's several times over the last few years on a variety of less serious repairs including washing machine outlet box replacement, outside spicket removal/installation (don't keep your hose on the spicket through the winter?), and water pressure valve replacement most recently. We've had different technicians each time, but they've all behaved with the same professionalism, care, and understanding that you could possibly hope for. I would recommend them to everyone for any service, and I'll plan on keeping this review updated as I continue using them for my plumbing needs.

I had an appointment window of 8-10am. They called ahead to let me know they were on their way. The person sent to diagnose the issue was professional and quick. They were able to send a technician out within 30 minutes. The technician got to work straight away and had everything finished in about 2.5 hours. They delivered on their promise of hot water today!

Best plumber experience I've ever had. Timely, professional, courteous... and what seems to be a better-than-fair pricing. From time they showed up to leaving was 2 hrs -- in that time, we decided to replace our water heater, which they had shipped here in 15 minutes, and installed an hour later. 50 gals, efficient, and with 9 year warrant for $1850. This comes with 9 annual check-ups/flushings!! (annually) at no added cost.Plumbing job was top-notch copper, clean, with expansion tank, than the tech even cleaned up our water mess from the leak that started it all!... all within 2 hrs flat.Very impressed. Will be spreading the word.

Called Carter's yesterday for a price on a new water heater and a water softener. Within 2 hrs they had a guy named Jodi there. Very professional and he let us know what needed done and felt very comfortable with everything he had to say so we went with them. They came out first thing this morning. Brandon Yates and alijah. They were professional courteous and new exactly what they were doing. Brandon discovered a hole in the front spicket line and took pictures to show me. Had him fix it. Took roughly 5 hrs and they were done and cleaned up very well. My experience with Carter's plumbing was excellent and I will not call anybody else but them. I had a tub that wouldn't drain and bubbles in the toilet when the shower ran and I knew this was not going to be fixed by liquid plumber. I called Carter's and the woman who answered was friendly and scheduled me for the morning of the next day, saying she would also give me a call if a time became available earlier. Sean came out in the earlier half of the window provided to me, giving me a call when he was on his way. He was friendly and personable, and also wore a mask and plastic covers on his shoes to protect my house. He gave me clear pricing ahead of the work and explained each step of the process. He was able to clear my water line to the sewer and restore flow. He ran the camera through to be sure everything looked good both towards the house and towards the sewer. The price was very reasonable and exactly what was quoted to me in the beginning. Sean also explained there is a 30-day warranty on the service. As someone who lives close to paycheck to paycheck, I was very appreciative of the honest and fair pricing. I would recommend to any folks in their service area and I would have them out again in a heartbeat...but hopefully I won't have to :-).

100% satisfied with my service call today. I called at 8:30, was given a 10-12 window, my plumber, Sean, arrived a little before 10 and got right to work. By 11:30 the drain was clear, the toilet was reinstalled, and all traces of the messy situation were erased. I love that he gave me a best-case and a worst-case price. Had a gas tankless water heater installed, old water heater removed, and a water main valve put in. They checked with me throughout each process, talked through options, and when I had some vent piping that I wanted vented through the attic, they did the job exactly as I'd asked. They cleaned up perfect after themselves, walked me through using the tankless, and did an exceptional job. Additionally, while they were here, they fixed a leak in a drainage line in my bathroom.

I had a water softener installed in my home today. My technician was Brad W. He was very knowledgeable and very helpful. He took a little time to look at my faucets for me and my toilet tanks. Carter's installed a new water softener that I purchased from Lowe's for a home I recently bought and the home previously had a wood boiler that we don't use and when the old water softener died, they installed the new one I purchased as well as 2 new in line sediment filters, and removed all of the old pex connections & water heater for the wood boiler, which created space & looks much neater. I also had an outside spigot installed as the house didn't have one. The work was done quickly & accurately. They even graciously rerouted the water line for my furnace humidifier to begin after the sediment filters & water softener when requested.

Due to a sharp spike in my water usage last month, I immediately thought I had a leak in a pipe. Called Carter’s on 09/17/21 for a service call. Tonya said they could here be within 2-3 hours. Ecstatic it was same day service. Tonya called me a very short time later stating they’ll be here within the hour!!!!. Once techs got here they immediately checked my meter and didn’t detect any leaks. It was the toilet tank parts I had! They replaced the entire inner parts of the tank with quality and gave me the peace of mind of no leaks. Never used a plumber before and glad I chose Carter’s!

My whole experience with this company was wonderful. The folks on the phone are sweet as can be. They had somebody out to give me a quote the very next day (wish I could remember his name). He was very friendly and clearly knew what he was talking about. I'd received several quotes from other companies, but I just felt really good about this guy. The quote was also the lowest I had been given and the warranty was better coverage than any of the others I had looked at.Josh and Jared came out the next week to replace my water heater and install a water softener. They were respectful, friendly and did an amazing job. I don't know much about plumbing, but I am very impressed with how they took my tiny utility closet and used the space efficiently and practically. Josh showed me exactly how to use everything and what all of the parts mean. They triple checked their work and then cleaned up very well. It looked better than it did when they arrived (they mopped the floor!). Josh noticed two of my sinks were spraying weird when he was testing the new systems and quickly fixed them for me. Seems like a very small gesture but it showed me that he is a great dude that likes to help others. I'll 100% be using Carter's for my other plumbing needs!

Late Monday afternoon we discovered our sewer line was backing up into our basement so we quit using all water. We called Carter Plumbing and their tech, Sean Mooney arrived the next afternoon. We were hoping to avoid, at the worst, the costly installation of a new sewer line, as we had seen in other 100 year-old plus nearby homes in our neighborhood. Sean arrived and immediately laid down walking cloths to the area of concern in our basement to avoid dirtying our home.He was extremely professional, explaining every step he took. Much to our (pleasant) surprise, he quickly detected the problem---a clog in our interior line that he easily removed. Still, we were concerned that roots had clogged the sewer line out to the street, which would cause future problems.Within 20 minutes, an associate, Greg, arrived with a camera affixed to a line that displayed on a screen that there were no roots blocking flow into the city's sewer. With no need to clean out the line, our bill was substantially less than what we had anticipated.We could not have been more pleased. After, another plumber said I had a clogged main drain, bad garbage disposal, and bad dishwasher, Sean with Carter’s My Plumber found none of that to be true and simply found too much food in the pipe before the main drain and was able clear it out for under $100 total! Saved me hundreds of dollars literally! And saved me thousands the first time I used them for a tree root issue in the main line! They will be the only Plumbers I’ll ever use! I initially contacted Carter’s My Plumber to come to my home on January 17 between 1pm and 3 pm. I told the lady that answered that I needed someone to unhook my dryer. I explained that the dryer I have is connected to the water source because it has a steam function and I need them to unhook the dryer.. I also told her that I have a leak in one bathroom and I also wanted to replace the faucet’s in my two bathrooms. She said no problem, they carry them on their truck.On the 17th, A gentleman called at approximately 2pm and said they could not come and asked to reschedule. I was disappointed but, I rescheduled for January 25, between 8am and 10am.On January 25th, A gentleman showed up around 9am. I told him what I needed. Bottom line, He did not fix one thing and charged me $50.00. He was not able to unhook the dryer because he didn’t have a cap for the hose. He did not have faucets on the truck as I was told. For him to go pick up 2 standard bathroom faucets and install them would cost over $600.00. The facets I have currently can be replaced for about $20.00 (I googled it before he arrived). I declined toPay that much. The gentleman that came to my House was very nice, but I am very disappointed with the service. I won’t be using this company in the future.

Our water heater went out unexpectedly on a Sunday night, we called Carter’s and they offered to come put a new one in that same evening! Although we chose to get it installed the next morning we were very impressed with their willingness to go above and beyond! All of the employees were very polite and respectful, they did an excellent job with everything, from removal to installation they really took pride in what they were doing! I recently called on Carter's plumbing as my main drain by the water heater and washing machine was bubbling up and had begun to overflow. Sadly, my old drain did not make it easy as it didn't have easy access to the clog. However, they did not give up and came back with a Jetter and even had to go up on the roof to access the drain from the vent. And now I am clog free! A Giant Thank You to Luke and Chris for their hard work and diligence. Actually each person I dealt with at the Greenwood Carter's was fabulous! From Tonya, the receptionist who listened to me ramble about my drain, to Jarred the first plumber who tried and tried to fix it, but I guess the builder who put this old house together did not know what they were doing. And of course Chris and Luke who came back and never gave up. Now I am off to wash laundry.

Highly recommend Carter’s My Plumber for any of your plumbing needs!!! Had two previous local plumbers go to my property for clogged drainage issue caused by tree roots in the line going out to the street. Both companies said the whole line needs to be dug up and replaced, needing an excavator, permits, etc… And attempted to make a big pricy job out of it and quoted me over $6k for repairs! Carter’s came out and cleaned out the line in a couple hours for $299, when the two other companies said they wasn’t able to clean it out! The plumber Shaun was super nice and professional. He was very detailed about the work performed and sent a video of the inside of the pipe ensuring it was cleaned out. It’s good to see there’s still companies who have honest values and don’t try to take advantage of people! Carter’s will be the only plumber that will work on my home!

Larry called as he was headed over and was very professional the entire time. He checked everything on my water heater and told me that he didn't think it needed repairs just needed to be turned down since it was set at 150 degrees. While it may have not made this single trip very profitable, he help solidify the reasoning why I chose Carters for this problem and why I will always use Carters for any future plumbing problems by being honest and not trying to gouge any money he could out of me just because he could. I received a very high gas bill this month and notice a huge increase in my sewer price of the bill. Come to find out, it was my stop and waste valve on my meter leaking a great amount of water. The receptionist was sweet as pie! She made me feel like a family friend more than just another customer. She scheduled Jody to come out the very next business day. Jody was very nice and he was honest with me. He got the technician scheduled to come out the very next day. I wish I got my technician’s name, but he was very polite, he got the job done quickly, and was very thorough in making sure I knew what he had done to fix my valve. This company had good ratings which is why I chose them and I’m so glad I did!

I would very much recommend this service.Other services in the area chart $80+ for service calls, and don't necessarily waive the fee if they do the work. Carter's charges <$30 to come out and provide a quote, and does waive the fee if their technician performs the work.

We've used Carter's twice now to install new water shut-offs in each of our homes. They've been informative over the phone, available promptly, and priced consistently. We plan to use them again to install a tankless hot water heater in the future.

In July 2020 Carter’s My Plumber came to service my water heater. I was told at that time I was on borrowed time with it and would likely need a new one in the next 18 months. A few days ago 15 month mark), my water heater began to gurgle in a different, worse sounding way. So as I said I would do in a previous review, I returned to Carter’s My Plumber.The Carter’s receptionist was pleasant and got me scheduled within two days of my call, as it was not an emergency. They provided same-day service after sending Jody out to make an initial assessment of the work that needed done.Joe and Elijah, his apprentice, were sent to install the water heater. They called when they were on the way and arrived punctually. They were clean and professional. They worked well together and seemed to enjoy working with each other and for Carter’s. They were very accommodating with some of the specifics I wanted. They both had a great attitude and a fun sense of humor.Joe was a pro. His knowledge and skill gave me confidence I had gone with the right folks for the install. Joe seemed to take pride in his work, as it was done thoughtfully, carefully and neatly. He was also creative. He had to figure out a way to get a very heavy 80 gallon, limestone-filled water heater down from an 18” stand while having little room to maneuver. He was successful. Elijah was a competent apprentice too. Since it’s been several days, I can also say their work was done correctly. We have had no problems with our new water heater.I will call them again in the future and confidently recommend them to others.

I will start by saying the technician was on time, professional, and did a great quality of work. The reason for my poor rating is that while I should have been a more prepared customer and challenged why I was quoted $748 to install a faucet that I had purchased when it seemed like an unreasonably high price, I went forward with the repair acknowledging and accepting the quoted price. It was after completion that I did some searching online to realize the average price is $300 and no more than $400 (when it was an install that was a duration of one hour and there were no difficulties reported by the technician). I would recommend getting an estimate before you schedule an appointment to have them complete an install to avoid the buyer's remorse that I am experiencing.

I have used several plumbers in the past, but I will now say Carter’s My Plumber without hesitation. Had a leak under the slab. Josh installed a water heater and water softener for us. He was very professional and kind! He answered all my questions thoroughly. I was concerned about our salt tank leaking, he assured me that it wouldn’t leak. He put a hose on back of tank that feeds to the drain so I wouldn’t worry. He arrived at 9am and gave me an estimated complete time of 1 pm. He worked by himself and got the job done at 1pm. I highly recommend Josh and Carter’s My Plumber!

Carter's plumbers have always been there when I have needed them. Everyone of their employees has been punctual, polite and extremely good at their job. They have put in a tankless water heater, a new sump pump with a back up battery, and most recently, a french drain. They also fixed a leak from my dish washer which my warranty guys couldn't mend and they came out very quickly when my pipes were 'backing up'. If I ever had a water emergency they would always be my first port of call.

Originally called Roto Rooter for emergency service for a leak in my crawl space. Their plumber refused to enter my crawl space and wanted to cut a hole in my floor to look for the leak. Sent them packing & called Carter Plumbing. Wish I had called them first. Their plumbers had no problem entering the crawl and found the problem right away. They were very pleasant and knowledgeable. The repairs were completed quickly and effectively for an affordable price. I’m very happy with their service.

I just bought a 60 yo house and the warranty coverage I had took over 28 hours to finally arrive then declined to cover. I ended up calling Carter's and the were there in less than 2 hours and had my plumbing issue fixed within 30 minutes. The tech they sent was courteous, knowledgable and explained everything before proceeding. Carter's will be my go to plumber!

I guess I'm not seeing the same quality service that everyone else has seen. I went to review the paperwork my husband signed because I needed to send it to the water company. Things listed on the paperwork made it appear that we were negligent and refused service. That is absolutely NOT what happened. The suggested repair that was listed wasn't even discussed! Furthermore, it was a repair for $500. Since my water bills have been increasing by $400-500 a month. I seriously doubt anyone would refuse a one time charge of a $500 repair to possibly save $300 or more a month on the reduced water bill. Furthermore, he stated my husband wanted to fix it himself because he wasn't worried about it. My husband can't fix plumbing. That's why we contacted this company. Now, I have to contact another plumber to come out before I can contact the water company wasting more of my time and money. Not impressed.

We called Carter’s for a second opinion after a bad experience with a different plumbing company. They came out the next day and helped us to find the true root of our problem. They were, nice, thorough, and HONEST! They quickly got us on the books to fix the issue, everyone we encounter was professional and great to work with. I had the longest night ever. I couldn’t shower because all the water from the sewer came through the shower. It was beyond gross. The moment I called Carters they were professional and got me taken care of right away. The plumber came out by the name of Sean and he was done in a matter of minutes. He knew what to do and gave me helpful tips to prevent this issue in the future. I was given a proper quote and didn’t feel taken advantage of. We found and called Carter's My Plumber after another company charged us several thousand dollars to replace part of our main drain but it was still clogging up. Carter's sent out Sean, and I can't say enough great things about him! He is the unicorn everyone wants in any kind of tradesman: Totally reliable, extremely knowledgeable, excellent communicator, punctual, completely honest, fast AND thorough, patient, professional, honest, friendly - basically all the good things. He not only listened, he asked good questions, and encouraged us to ask more. He texted videos of the work he did (scoping the line) right after he was done so we could decide what to do right then. Sean is a rare breed who clearly takes pride in his work, and IMO sets the example for everyone regardless of what we do. We never once felt like we were being conned into paying for additional unneeded services. I RARELY write reviews for anything, but this guy and the company have more than earned this.

I found Carter’s listed at the Bradford White site, as I was unhappy with my previous plumber, and was looking for a plumber to service my BW water heater. They responded and came out promptly. The overall experience was great... quality of work, efficiency, customer interaction, and price. I will contact Carter’s for any future plumbing needs, and would recommend them.

He could've replaced the whole thing, which would have cost me quite a bit, but after I told him I've had 2 new spigots installed over the years, he told me he would see if he could repair it, which he was (thankfully) able to do.A few years back, Carter replumbed my whole house, which I was very happy with, so between these 2 services that were exceptional, I will continue to use them as plumbing issues occur.

Jacob did a fantastic job he installed not one but two water heaters in my home today was polite and efficient. He also got a spoon that was stuck in my garbage disposal out. Nice guys easy to work with.

Water was coming from the side of my house. I called and was able to have Jody come out within 2 hours to see what the situation was. He was able to get a group together to bore a new waterline from water main less than 24 hours later. Jason & Larry took care of the interior work of removing the old pipes and placing new. When a company that 'specializes in older homes' couldn't clear my main sewer line in my older home and then advised me I need to dig, I was lucky enough to find Carter's My Plumber for a second opinion. Sean came to my property and was extremely professional and knowledgeable going over my options. He was able to clear my mainline in less than an hour. I choose to have Sean stay a little longer to clear all roots from my line. My line is now cleaner then ever before and I will no longer call anyone but Carter's for my plumbing needs.

Salesman (not a plumber) showed up at 10am for a 1pm-3pm appointment. Didn't look at the problem in the crawlspace before going to his van, emailing a quote for over 1500 and leaving without a further word.

Came same day when I had an issue with my water heater and informed me on my options. Also let me know that codes were changing and what my options are and what would probably be best since my heater would no longer be produced and would be out of code this year. Install was very professional and actually was done before the estimated time that I was given that they WOULD ARRIVE! Price was significantly lower too but not losing the quality of parts and labor. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Wonderfully ‘clean’ experience, left our property spotless. Our plumber (Luke) was very knowledgeable and pleasant.

After three inspections and two hefty quotes from two other very reputable plumbers, I reached out to Carter's My Plumber hoping to get a lesser charge to fix a presumably blocked sewer line. Brad, the technician that came over, listened attentively to what I had to say. The first pleasant surprise was his offer to do a spot fix of the blocked sewer line if earlier diagnosis of a blockage by the other plumbers was correct. To proceed, he offered to inspect the sewer line as part of the cost of making the repair. The equipment he used for the inspection provided better resolution of the probe area and his approach to the inspection process was ingenious. Subsequently, he observed that the sewer line wasn't blocked at all; rather, what presents as a blockage was an elbow.Brad's quick thinking and smartness coupled with his commitment to the job and his customers saved me thousands of dollars. My experience with Carter's My Plumber has been awesome, they're the best!

This is the fourth project I've had repaired by Carters. I've been overly pleased each time from the minute the phones are answered until the job is complete and the repairmen walk out the door. Great quality work, knowledgeable employees that were always on time, in uniforms with a smile. I especially I liked the way the kept me informed of the current job as well as their explanations and options. They made the work very easy for me...when making decisions they were very helpful by answering all of my questions and explaining how or why. Every time I called they were able to get me scheduled for the day of or very next day. Don't waste your time by calling anyone else... Call Carter's My Plumber first you won't be disappointed!

Called on a Sunday evening and had a new water heater installed on Monday afternoon. I received a call from Carters Monday morning to set up my time frame and Chris, the technician called when he was on his way to my home. They also replaced my shutoff valve and flexible connectors with rigid piping. Being a business owner myself, I appreciate top notch service and that’s what I received. Carter plumbing does things the right way not the easy way.

Over this past weekend our fifteen-year-old water heater began to leak. That's on the old side for a water heater, so on Monday morning I called four different businesses to obtain quotes for a replacement fifty gallon gas unit. We wanted to use a local business, in part because of all the horror stories we'd read on the internet of peoples' experience using the third-party installers contracted by companies such as Home Depot.The short story is that I wish every experience with a skilled tradesman could be as impressive as this one with Larry P. from Carter's My Plumber.Before any of the others even returned our calls, Larry, a licensed plumber, stopped by, examined our situation, and provided a written estimate within an hour or so. He fully explained our options, and never once pressured us to make a sale.Although he was still working to complete a job for another customer, Larry kept us informed of his progress through the day so that we were not waiting for hours, not knowing when he would show up to replace our unit. Larry and his assistant arrived when he said they would, and their installation of our new unit was very well done. It's been a long time since I've seen copper pipe soldering done that well! Through the entire day, Larry was completely professional, always timely, and did very high quality work.The other three businesses did eventually return our calls. Of the four, Carter's clearly had the best responsiveness, price, and warranty of all of them for a comparable unit. Plus, they'll be back next year to service the unit for free!I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to recommend Carter's My Plumber, and Larry P., to anyone. I would hire them again without hesitation!

Brad helped me today with my clogged kitchen line. He was professional, and actually was able to arrive earlier then my scheduled time. He was able to diagnose the problems I was having in my drain, fixed it promptly and also repaired some of the pipe under the sink. The plumbing technician was prompt, professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I was pleased with the install of my water softener and the thoroughness of the service as it related to my water heater as well. The plumber did not leave until everything had been checked and he had explained to me the new system.

Carter's My Plumber answered my phone call on a Friday almost before closing. They scheduled my service for the following Monday morning. Once we hung up, I had a text and an email confirming my appointment. Ryan called me on the way to the appointment to tell me what time he would arrive. He did the work he was asked to do, professionally. He did a great job. I would highly recommend a company that actually answers the phone, confirms appointments and shows up. Not to mention the work was exactly what we needed. I do think the price was high for what I wanted, but to not have to deal with any other problems, it was worth it.

Brad was very nice and went up and above to make sure our problem was fixed. It was more than the toilet and he put us in connection with the right people to fix the problem. Highly recommend Carter’s My Plumber. We wasted money before this on another plumber that quickly did what he said fixed the problem and then didn’t return our call when it was not fixed.

I had a water heater installed by Brad I believe and great experience. Done same day we had them out for a shut off valve replacement which also went great. Problem only when we decided to have a water line ran for the ice maker with tech named Paul who did very shabby job, didn’t replace what he was supposed to and claimed they didn’t do filters for the fridge as well. Had a supervisor I think Greg meet at the house and he agreed it wasn’t anywhere near the service they expect to see from their installers and explained what they would do the following day. Put the valve on I already paid for , the filter would be put on and also another valve in the back of the fridge and make sure there was enough to pull fridge out all at no additional charge to me since I already paid $350.00 and would personally come by and check the work himself. Sounded great but Paul was the one who came back again. Called me at work and I had to argue about the job which is crazy to argue as I’m the costumer and said if I wanted the filter I had to pay additional ( only a $14 filter but still wasn’t the point) not sure what they would have charged, and said if he put a service valve in back of fridge that I wouldn’t be able to pull fridge out without stressing the line and possible leaking.also put filter under sink and said it would be a better place then behind the fridge but it’s actually not. It’s behind the garbage disposal so looks like a pain when I go to change it not to mention it was supposed to be after the copper water line not before it. I really didn’t have time to be on phone at work with him but I already called the office 3x that day because I wasn’t paying more then I already had for the job. Nobody showed to check his work, nobody called me from the office, I feel the work is ok at best but not what the supervisor said would be installed but my maintanance man at work heard me arguing about the stuff with Paul in the break room since I had it on speaker phone and said he would fix when he had a day to do so if the supervisor didn’t have it taken care of. I also didn’t understand a almost $100 charge for diagnosis? I knew what I wanted and wasn’t told of any diagnosis fee. Only part and labor fee and a $29 show up fee which would be deducted if they did the work. Only looked at Bill closer because no one could believe it cost 350.00 for a ice maker water line to be ran

I called Carter's My Plumber because my water heater was leaking. Josh arrived at my home within an hour of my call. He was extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant. He called for a unit to be delivered and Ryan showed up with the new water heater within 30 minutes. He too was friendly and professional. Both technicians did a great job and the new unit was installed within about 2 hours from my original call. As a first time home owner, and a senior citizen, I was a little nervous, since this was all new to me, and I didn't know what to expect. Very professional. On time but didn't call first. I was requesting a estimate for a bathroom addition. He was very honest about what I wanted to have done. Some people will just tell you what you wanted to hear. As a woman I'm glad he didn't try to rip me off. I will call them in the future for some other issues. The plumber called before coming by. He was very friendly and went about his business, got the water heater drained then checked it out. He gave us a price for the new water heater and other work to be done. He obtained the new heater and other parts and returned quickly. He was very efficient and cleaned up everything. I’d been using Chapman for my plumbing needs and decided to try Carters after experiencing one too many issues with Chapman’s work. I called Carters with a tight timeline and they were able to accommodate same day. Brandon and Branden were incredible from the start. When they arrived, I was attempting to help load a grill into an SUV and Brandon hopped out of his van and ran over to help. I told them what I’d been told by Chapman and they proceeded to work on the solution. I’d purchased 7 different shower cartridges with the hopes that one would work, but none fit. The guys ran to Menards and purchased an adapter. This was the exact opposite of my experience with Chapman. Their plumber advised me that it would be better if I installed the cartridge myself and that anyone could do because it was easy. Needless to say, I watched videos and was too scared to try. Brandon and Branden resolved my issues, consulted with options, and informed me that the work previously performed by Chapman wouldn’t pass an inspection. I sent Chapman pictures of the work that was in question and sure enough, they’ll be sending someone to fix it. I will never use anyone other than Carters for my plumbing needs and am thankful for their customer service. Needless to say, I’m a raving fan of Branden and Brandon.

I called this morning needing someone to come out and check a pipe we believed to be broken. She was able to squeeze us in, and thankfully she was able to because the pipe was indeed broken. Without notice the water heater went out on a Sunday night before bedtime and took a very cold shower. After some quick searches for a plumber early Monday morning I called Carter's My Plumber and a technician called back right away. We discussed what the problem was and texted some photos so they would know what to bring. Brad and Jared were on time and were professional and cleaned up after the water heater replacement. From the first call to the finished job was about three hours. I'd highly recommend Carter's My Plumber for any plumbing work.

We called due to having toilets that double flushed, and one that was leaking from the tank. They showed up on time, diagnosed the issue, went over options for repair, and replaces 2 toilets while repairing the innards of the third. While on site they also diagnosed a broken thermostat on the waterheater and repaired it. They even while going out through the garage noticed a smell of propane, my wife smelled it I didn't, did a leak test on the threads and was able to replace the broken part.The price was fair and within market value for the services provided. The two gentlemen that came out were professional and polite, gave great breakdowns of the issues and repair options versus replacement.The next day I got a call from Carters to make sure there were no issues with the work they did, and to ensure everything went smoothly.I will be recommending them, and using them in the future for installing a tankless waterheater, and running waterlines for kitchen appliances.

I really appreciated the way Carter's juggled their schedule to get to us the day after we called them. Our pressure tank from our well was leaking water all over our garage floor. They called before they came and got here on time!Larry gave me an estimate and when approved went to pick up a fiberglass tank (that won't leak) and in about an hour had the old tank off, put in new switch and fittings, valves, etc on the new tank and was finished!Later that night, i thought i had a small leak. I called Carter's and a nice lady took my information and asked if it was an emergency or not, i decided it wasn't so she said someone would call in the morning. A little after 8 am, Carter's called, asked what was going on. Within 2 hours of that conversation, two fellows were here to check on the leak. Turned out it was only condensation! But I really appreciated that they stand behind their work and responded so quickly!I like that Carter's is a family-owned company and that they are local! I will definitely use them again!Fred

I found Carter's My Plumber using Google search. We are very happy with the service we had. We needed someone to look at our sump pump in the basement and our service guy was very professional. I never felt pressured or like we were being taken advantage of; it just felt like a friend was helping us out. Our service guy even stood in our kitchen afterwards and talked with us about living in Indiana and other things. He gave us his # in case we needed anything saying he was on call all weekend long. The plumbing tech showed up on time, was very professional and knowledgeable about fireplaces although he was here to detect a leak. He quickly performed a diagnostic, isolated the leak and provided contact info for a referral to repair fireplace. I’ve had numerous plumbers here since 2018 and no one was able to isolate the leak expect Josh from Carter’s. Very pleasant and extremely helpful experience! This plumbing service came out to my home with a 1 day notice of calling them. I had a water meter pit that needed maintenance. After receiving 4 quotes from other plumbing services, they gave me by far the BEST deal! It was so reasonable that it was unbelievable.The customer service via phone and in person was awesome. This company was not like the other big name companies. They were very personable and wanted to actually help out instead of having an objective of sucking your pockets dry.I can't believe that I was not referred to them by anyone locally because they were a godsend. What a great company. First they sent me a bio and a picture of my plumber so I would know something about him and what he looks like.Justin was extremely friendly and came really early. He let me know what he thought the job would cost and fixed it the problem very fast. When he was done it actually cost less than he quoted. I will only use Carter from now on.

They were able to work me in same day, and Brad did a great job explaining all of the options. This is the second time I’ve used Carter’s now, and I will continue in the future.

So I would like to update my review after posting the initial review below where I gave a 1 star rating we received a phone call from carters plumbing promising to get someone out that day. So they did honor their intial appointment.I am happy to say they sent Jason out. He did an excellent job with what he could do day one. Since we decided to have them install the shower base and new water lines. Jason needed to get supplies and come back next day to complete work also showing up day two was Brandon O. Both young men where professional,friendly and very knowledgeable. While my experience intial was not the best. I am very happy with the work Jason and Brandon O did and would recommend for any of your plumbing needs. I also want to thank carter plumbing for turning the situation around and getting our plumbing needs addressed.My intial post 1 starI sent an online request asking for a plumber initially did not get a response so I called their number got a women who scheduled us for 3-5 on Monday. I was initially impressed how quick they got us on schedule then a couple hours later a received an email back on my initial online request saying they could come out Monday 1-3 even better. Then on Monday 8:30 AM we get a call telling us we are too far from Greenwood. The women says I know no one told you,but we will charge a $70 fee to come out. But then said I can recommend another company. So obviously they really did not want our business. Ive heard a lot of good things about this company. Reliability, great customer service. Obviously not the experience I am having because when your team makes a scheduling appointment you need to be prepared to honor your appointment and deal with the error on your staffs part internally. That is providing a reliable customer experience. Now our project is delayed at least another two days. Very disappointed that what I thought would be excellent service has turned into a bad experience.

Unfortunately my water heater had seen some better days and I was constantly having to restart it in order to have any sort of hot water. We called Carter's for a free quote and estimate. They were out on time for the quote and gave us options for the repairs needed which is always nice to have. We opted for a complete upgrade in a water heater, sump pump replacement and upgrades to the basement shower and faucet. Monday at 8:30 was their scheduled arrival time. They were not only on time BUT a bit early which is also appreciated. Kelson and Keith both greeted me with an exchange of names and a handshake. I had to leave for work leaving them with my wife, youngest son and dog. We were beyond impressed with their work and my wife gave me these updates throughout the day. They explained everything they had changed out and then also explained the issues again so we would have a good understanding to what all hadn't been working properly. They seemed to have made my sump pump even quieter and cleaned up after themselves removing all old faucets, boxes, piping and any other trash. They left the area in better shape upon leaving then they had found it. They addressed my wife by her first name every time, communicated when they would leave for lunch, worked efficiency and quietly and were even great with my dog. It's never fun having to spend money on home repairs...but, I am beyond impressed with Carters My Plumber and their execution of 5 STAR service. They are and will be Carter's MY Plumber for all my future plumbing needs. Thanks again guys!

My outside faucet was dripping and freezing. They replaced it beautifully. They had to repair it from the inside of the house and go through the wall. There was no mess at all when they were done. They were very polite and answered my many questions.

The easiest time I have had in getting Fay service. They insta chatted me when I was on their website after business hours. Told them what I needed. They said I would get a call next day to scheduleI got the call at 8;10 am. Picked a time convenient to me.It was a 5 hour job. They gave me an estimate and they completed the work (thanks Larry)efficiently, no leaks, and he fully expected to clean behind himself and wore foot coverings inside and took all detritus with him.Besides being a homeowner for 52 years, I was s business owner for 34 years. I have used MANY plumbers.I will use Carter again

We had a leak near our water pit— they came out quickly to estimate it and the crew was thorough on the repair, despite hitting some snags due to our water pit’s proximity to underground electrical lines. I was impressed to receive text notifications with names and pictures of who they dispatched, as well as phone calls when they were en route. Would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again on future projects.

The gents we're very helpful, patient and understanding. My wife and I are first time home buyers and the sudden cost wasn't a welcome one. Thankfully they were quick to work and got our pipes replaced before the gas guy came. Would recommend, maybe not for the price but definitely for their hard work.

If you have plastic pipes in your house, Carters is the people to call. We had our inlet pipe through the slab leaking. We needed a major repair, they replaced the pvc with pex piping.They cared about my peace of mind. Warned us our water pressure was too high. Our other pvc pipes would probably bust later! More business for them. Instead they installed a water pressure regulator to protect my home.I will for sure use them in the future

I stopped by Carter's to consult on some leaks. He recommended I call Precision leak detection which I did. They did a great job of pinpointing my issues, took pictures and passed back to Carters. Got a call that afternoon, made an appointment and the next day the serviceman showed up. He provided no obligation quotes, I told him what I wanted and he did a great job. His name was Larry.Everything worked out fine.

My husband and I were experiencing some issues with our hot water heater. My husband had thought that the thermometer went out and was going to replace it himself. He had done some research and wanted to verify that there was not a larger issue. So we called Carter my plumber to verify and give us a Diagnosis. Josh came out and diagnosed our issue, gave us a reasonable price and confirmed that the Element and thermostat had gone wrong bad. He was on time, friendly, courteous, clean and very professional. This is the second time we have used Carter my plumber will definitely continue to use them in the future!

Carter's saved the day today. Found a leak in our crawl space at a spigot that lead us to another leak on the main. After a call this morning to them, they had no appointments available. We called Roto Rooter, technician came out for 5 minutes, didn't even go in the crawl, said $1000 to repair. I asked them to leave. Angie called back to ask if things were fixed, because they had availability as another job finished early. About 30 minutes later, they were here, 30 minutes after that, they were done. Pricing was no where near what Roto Rooter quoted. This company has been great to us, sewer line repair/replacement, pump installation, water heater installation, they've always been quick and courteous. You get what you pay for and this company delivers time and time again with an awesome front office, owners, and staff. Personable, courteous, just great people. Can't thank them enough.

They said 3pm-5pm window They were here about 3:40 and they called beforehand to let me know they'd be here in about 5 minutes. They came in and got right to work, they were staying covid safe with face masks, gloves and shoe covers. They worked hard to diagnose and solve the issue. The wiped down all the areas they interacted with when they finished. I was going to mention the coupon I saw on their site online but they mentioned it and applied it without me ever saying anything. Their price seemed reasonable as well for a service call for a drain issue/clog. I hope I don't have to use a plumber again anytime soon but if I do I'll definitely give these guys a ring again.

Overall, a good experience. Only downside was that pice was a little on the high side for the small service I required ($300 for spigot replacement). However, the job was completed within 3 hours of calling, the plumber was very friendly and thorough and the work is guaranteed for 5 years. Would consider calling again in the future.

Our water heater went out on Sunday 10-20-19 and I called on Monday 10-21-19 around 7 AM to schedule someone out to replace our current water heater. It was about 10 years old & leaking water so I was pretty sure we would need a new one, not get this one repaired. Office told me that they were all booked for the day but set me up for Tuesday 10-22-19 for a window of 10 AM to 12 PM to have someone come out but they did say that if someone got freed up early they would try and get to me on Monday 10-21-19. Larry called me around 1 PM on Monday to say he could get to me around 3 PM. They brought a new water heater and were done in about 1 hour and half. Very nice & very neat with work. We appreciated them getting to us early! We will definitely recommend them to our friends.

He immediately evaluated the situation, made arrangements for an additional apprentice to arrive and assist, then successfully repaired the leaking gas valve.Both were very professional, timely, and exercised COVID safe practices of proper face coverings and safe distancing throughout the repair time. Additionally they wore gloves and wiped down all areas afterwards. I was very pleased with their professionalism, and drive to be customer focused. I'm sorry about my previous review. I was mistaken. I had Larry come out to service my water leaks in my walls. Carter's did everything in their power to get someone out asap. They completed the job quickly and thoroughly explained what I needed done. I really trust them and their customer service was fantastic.

In early Dec., Carter's responded to an emergency at my home. Since they were on site, I asked if they could snake a slow (not stopped up) kitchen drain. They charged me $200!!! A few days later, the drain backed up just as I left town for the winter. I called Carter's from out of state and asked if they would extend me the courtesy of re-cleaning the drain when I returned to town in the spring. They flatly refused, saying they only guarantee their work for 30 days. No exceptions. A reputable company would recognize this unusual circumstance and would stand behind their work, honoring their guarantee as a good will gesture. Not Carter's. They will NEVER be my plumber again.UPDATE - upgrading to 3 stars from only one star.After my negative review, Carter’s called and came back out at no charge. Since I had just plunged a backed up kitchen sink - again - (I haven’t put anything down the disposal in years), the drain was running freely and they said they couldn’t do anything. They returned the following week with a video camera and televised the line, not finding a reason for my ongoing problem. They suggested I replace the top of the air gap valve under the sink, just in case that was the problem. I got a new part at Home Depot. Thus far, I haven’t had a recurrence, but I still don’t use my disposal. Keeping fingers crossed that my drain continues to flow freely.

Amazing family-owned company we tried for the first time today because we saw their great reviews. I called for service needed on our fireplace, and they were able to come same-day! The service pro, Jarret, was extremely prompt, professional, quick, and very nice. I will definitely be using this company again and recommend them to everyone!

I send a message through their website around 7pm and I got a call maybe 30 minutes later asking about the issue. They scheduled a someone to come out the next morning and we were able to get a replacement water heater installed by the afternoon. Very happy!

We had a Saturday night sump pump emergency. Water was starting to seep into basement. I called the Carter emergency #. The on-call tech called back in 3 minutes and was at our house in 20 minutes (on a frigid snowy evening). He diagnosed the problem in about 10 minutes. He had a replacement pump on his truck and had it installed in about 30 minutes. The wTer immediately started receding and our Saturday night was not ruined!The old pump had two years left on its warranty- which they honored. Thus, there was no charge for the whole dilemma. Couldn’t be happier with Carter Plumbing and our tech Larry P. (Wish I would have gotten his last name)

Paul and the team at Carter’s saved the day. After many awful experiences with companies no showing appointments, giving inaccurate troubleshooting, and generally fear mongering about our lack of water, we could tell immediately that Paul was the real deal. He showed up and did a little trouble shooting, but after years of experience was able to conclude that the well pump itself was the issue. Not a cheap fix, but we decided to move forward and replace. Even when they hit a wall because our old pump turned out to be stuck, Paul knew what we should do and who to call, and worked with the second party company to prioritize our job. Although we ran over into a second day, they showed up early the next morning, got to work, and came up with a solution that did NOT involve drilling a new well when our old pump broke off during pulling. We have water!!! Thank you Paul and team for doing the job right and being transparent along the way. We will be calling Carter’s for any future plumbing needs!!

Carter is NOW my only plumber! I called at about 9:00 a.m. On February 4th and explained that my pressure relief valve was leaking and I had to shut the main water to the house off. We had just returned from an outpatient procedure for my wife and things were already hectic. Carter said they would be here between 9:30 and 12:30. To my surprise Mike called me about 9:30 and said he was on the way. Mike was very professional and knew exactly what he needed to do and quoted me the flat price to replace the valve. Very affordable! He had a bit of a rough time as most things seem to go in the house, but never complained or became frustrated. Instead he solved the problem and restored water back to the house. Knowing my wife just returned from a surgical procedure he also wished her a speedy recovery as well. He was a pleasure to chat with while making the repair and explained everything to me thoroughly. When it was time to settle the bill, it was exactly as quoted even with the extra effort. Carter and Mike went the extra mile to take care of our issue and we sure appreciate it. We will always recommend Carter to everyone we talk to. As I said at the beginning, they are NOW my only plumber and will call them in the spring for a few projects we have on our list to complete. I'm sure this company is great, but they literally charged me 100$ to come and plunge my sink, that's fine I knew what I was getting into. What rubbed me the wrong way was when the technician joked that since he used my plunger, unfortunately he couldn't charge me the higher rate.... Thanks for making a joke about how you couldn't charge me 100$ more for something stupid. I also never received a phone call before they showed up. Thank God I was proactive and left work early close to the time they were supposed to arrive. Carter's My Plumber conducted themselves in a professional manner from start to finish . The gentleman sent to do the job paid particular attention to cleanliness of the walkway to and from the bathroom to their job van. They kept us in the loop as the job progressed and answered any questions we had . They did a fantastic job on replacing our bath/shower . And they cleaned up after themselves . The replacement wasn't the easiest but they thought outside the box and actually saved us money . My wife and I know who we will be calling if we have any plumbing needs . They get 5 stars from us .

He finished up in 2 1/2 hours and all seems to be working as it should. Very pleased!

We had a sudden kitchen drain clog occur while I was away at work. My wife attempted to unclog but was unable, and we knew it was too late to have someone out last night. Pat was very polite and jumped right in trying to determine how and where he needed to install a water line for my refrigerator. To get the line installed, Paul first had to fix issues left by a previous plumber. I had a pipe leak under my slab Carter's showed up on time and stuck with it until the job was done right. The whole job took almost exactly as long as the estimator said it would, even with some hiccups that they encountered along the way. The team took great pains to make sure everything was done in a way that didn't impact the rest of my house (dust, dirt, etc) which was really nice. I will call them again if I ever have another plumbing problem.

Quick response, quick to dispatch someone. Came out evaluated the situation and had our issue fixed in a couple hours. That was even them having to go back to get the part from the office. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again in the future if needed.

I am in love with the Carter Plumbing Company. Their plumbers resolved my issue at 10 in the night and won my heart. My water heater stopped working one night, just when I wanted to take a warm bath. A friend suggested me to call the carter with the words that you need the best Indianapolis Plumbing Workmanship. In the next 2 hours, they fixed my water heater and did maintenance check on my other bathroom fittings. These guys are honest and hardworking and most importantly skilful.

I will not be using Carter's My Plumber again. They know why and once I spoke with Lisa Carter she tried to accommodate me. Long story short do not ever buy a tankless water heater unless you have a water softener!!! Was told a water softener was not necessary and that they have installed thousands of them with no problems! Found out later that was a big lie!! Towards the end they were at my house 18 times in 18 months. Many cold showers in that time frame. They did install a water softener for me which was initially hooked to the cold water (luckily I did not water my flowers or grass, otherwise they would have all died!). Then Joedy lied to me again and said it was his fault that the installer was told incorrectly. Big Lie! I was here when he spoke to the installer I heard the conversation. The installer came back out and apologized which I appreciated! He owned up to his mistake instead of lying to me. Once Lisa Carter called me she did apologize and agreed I had a right to be upset. However in the future I'll be using another plumbing company.

We have used carter plumbing 3 times in the past. Very nice when calling recieptionist. polite and easy to talk to when setting up appt. The repair men work fast and are honest. He even gave me the right rubber seals to fix my leaky faucets. Instead of charging me labor he explaind also how to fix the leaky faucet with the new seals he gave me. That dosnt happen much anymore. I get the feeling that this is family owened and very caring people. Bigger name companys dont give me that kinda treatment or feeling. What more can i say than they are just good honest people.im getting ready to call them again right now and wanted to tell other people how good there service is.

Brad came out for a maintenance check on our water heater. He explained everything and then showed me how to light the pilot. I really appreciated the time he took to let me try it myself. He also provided some sump pump information. Very professional and helpful!

I have had a lot of problems with my septic tank and drains...Carters sent Jarret out to look at my plumbing and he was able to access the problem in a timely manner and yesterday Jarret and Brad came back to my house and during the frigid cold and snow they were able to dig up my sewer lines and work in the trouble area. When they were finished they cleaned up my yard very nicely. We had them come out to look at our 18 year old water heater ?, we knew we would probably need a new one. They were able to give us a quote and come out and install the new one that afternoon. We have so much hot water now! Oh we also had them put in a water softener while we were at it. Great company.

We needed our garbage disposal and the plumbing under our kitchen sink replaced. The technician stated that he didn't have piping on his truck to complete the job and that he would have to charge me for him to get the piping. The technician was professional and courteous. It's absurd to think that a plumbing company would have to buy piping to complete a plumbing job and even more absurd that they think it's okay to charge their customers to buy the supplies necessary to complete a basic plumbing job. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Our plumber come out to find out why our toilets were flushing slow and sometimes overflowing easily. He was very polite and helpful and friendly but was unable to find anything wrong. Our three year old sump pump quit working and we had a flood in our basement. Carter arrived and had a new pump installed and running within an hour. The new pump is very quiet and working very well. Our basement dried out quickly even with all the rain.

Late Sunday afternoon when I called with emergency pipe leak. Women who answered phone was polite and checked all options to help said tech would call within a hour. Brandon the tech that came called in about ten minutes said he was close and could be by in 15 minutes. He arrived almost exactly 15 minutes later and was very quick and professional found the leaking pipe got it fixed checked and double checked to ensure it was all fixed and even had a recommendation for a damage repair company who called within the hour very high regards for Brandon 5 outta 5 will hope if we have any other problems it will be him to come he was great.

My plumber was fast, clean, and very. professional. However I found their electronic communication to be a bit overkill. After talking with my plumber about how this ystem works I understand why. I do believe the electronic communication system should be detailed in a better way to be more personalized and correct Just wait for your plumber to call letting you know he's on his way and don't worry about the texts.

Had a pipe come off in our utility room and a geyser just shooting straight up. Much thanks to Ryan and Brad coming out on our emergency. Brad wasn't even on call, I believe, but still came out. The stopped the water, fixed the pipe and recomended a water damage service. I know this is their job, but feel they went beyond it to help us. My wife and I are very pleased!

We had them out for a clogged kitchen drain, something we experienced a few years ago with the pipe rusting out somewhere under the slab foundation under our living room. We had another plumbing service come out and try to unclog already with the drill and they fully sealed the clog and quoted us to have a jetter used to try to unclog and carters had a better quote for the jetter, so we had them out and the tried the drill first again. The day before that, our well pump went out (of course) so we had them replace that as well. They ended up using the jetter through my roof ventilation access despite me suggeting they try through the outdoor access which would have been closer to where the clog was anyway, but they said it would be easier their way and I'm not a plumber so I didn't argue. So the jetter through the vent pipe made that pipe leak through my ceiling, right above my electric box (thank heavens that caused no further issues) and still couldn't clear the drain. Then they thought they would send the camera down the line. Still couldn't really tell but left me with an estimate to cut into my slab where they thought it could be. A couple days later I noticed a leak coming out of the bottom of my well pump tank but just did not want to deal with them anymore.

I can't express how happy I am with Carters. Let me start by saying that I was able same day appointment, due to a leak. Paul and Bruce were here in the timeframe suggested. I received a courtesy in-route call in advance. They repaired my reverse osmosis tubing so that I should not see this issue again. They also connect my RO line to my new fridge. If you want experienced and professional plumbers...Carters is one call away!

They cleaned my main drain and it is in working order now.

My wife and I are remodeling two bathrooms one right after the other as a DIY project but needed plumbing work on the first room that was out of my plumbing comfort zone....new toilet with flange issue and then fix a drain issue. I worked with Jody who helped me figure out what was needed, scheduled the work and Josh was at the house on time and got right to it. We are very pleased with the work and will be using them on the second bathroom.

We had a gas leek which we could locate around the oven and we called them for an emergency service on the weekend. Of course there is an upcharge for that situation but 515$ (!!!) for a new oven gas line with connector which costs around $40 at the hardware store is simply rip-roff even if you add the working time on top. This is totally disproportional. I can't complain on the work itself though.Update: Carter reached out to me and we were able to find a solution. I appreciate that they are taking care of unsatisfied customers. Thank you !

Sadly it was very expensive. The wax rings for those two toilets I had done are about $5 a piece. I've actually changed those before myself. To charge almost $500 for labor for less than 2 hours work is ridiculous. I could not recommend your company nor could I ever use it again.

When the water line again started leaking, a month later, Carter immediately corrected the situation and stood behind their warranty. Due to the loss of a great deal of water from that leak, I experienced a very high water bill. Carter paid for the additional water loss, once again standing behind their warranty. Had Carters to come out to check hotwater heater (no hot water), they discovered there was a water leak in a pipe under the concrete slab. Yhey called a specialist out who located the exact spot. Carter came back out, jack hammered a hole in the concrete floor (luckily the leak was under the stove), repaired the leak and repaired the hole quickly, efficiently and with little to no clean up after.
